(Thanks to whoever archived the last thread.)

The alley is no longer sufficient for your glorious presence: With the aid of your virus-laden Mister Fluffy, the children within the city park have become infected. As well as this, your virus festers within the restaurant adjoining your alley. Having evolved from a lone rodent hunting spiders to a near-psychic force of hosts and tic minions, the urge to evolve becomes ever more pressing.

With a full mile radius of control from each of your five hosts, you possess the following.
Total Biomass: 5kg/hour (2kg from Kitchen, 1kg from fungus, 2kg from shrubbery)
    Average Energy: Near-Full
    Time: 9:00 A.M.

    Current resources:

Virus hardcoded with EM communication, infectious bite, enhanced cortex, and automatic flying tic production.

4 Host-Rodents, each with the listed mutations above. They also contain 1kg of Biomass, and are all listed at Average for their energy supplies. Each rodent also has six "tending tics" that ensure it is fed and aid in biomass gathering.

2 rodents are above ground, 2 are in the sewers collecting waste.

There is one Queen Tic in the restaurant connected to the starting alley, controlling six pregnant tics that are producing workers that provide a steady 2 kg/hour stream of biomass.

There is also a lone shrubbery in your alley, surrounded by an expanding tide of fungus. Both are rapidly absorbing sunlight and converting it to biomass.

    Total Biomass: 13kg

You also have six woodworms in the furniture store on the other wall of the alley, hollowing out the wood inside under the direction of the Worm Queen you created. The biomass produced is being added to your current stockpile at a steady rate.

Grabbing several kilograms of the precious fluid, you quickly flood your crude optical organs with the material. The change is quite rapid, and soon enough your hosts are capable of identifying almost /any/ living thing they can lay eyes upon. A nifty power, that.

    >>5453746
Additional time must be spent waiting for Biomass to accumulate. Your various sources can only operate at a certain pace. However, in order to increase the size of the shrubbery to a tree, you must expend a minimum of three kilograms of biomass to sufficiently excite the growth of the young sapling into a great oak.

If understood correctly, the request from this Othermind is for another area to populate and gather hosts from. This is feasible, though most of the resources are centralized in the alley. Granted, increasing the shrubbery to a tree may bring unwanted attention to said alley. Perhaps a new tree within the park upon later hours would be preferred?

Does Biomass need to be centralised, or can biomass be used where it is generated?
Can woodworm-generated biomass be used in developing parasites whose traits are then relayed somehow over the EM telepathy to the kitchen, and vice-versa, or does biomass generated from Source A have to also be used in modifying Source A?

Really? Nobody will notice a pigeon in the middle of a city, and even if we don't use it, the DNA it gives us (our first bird, and pigeons have a magnetic gland in their brain which may let us upgrade comms) is useful and it's some biomass. It's not as thought it'll be a waste of time.
