The forking path is the same width as the original path, and it goes a short distance before it ends, the path apparently ends abruptly, as the railings angle out from the dead-end. Where the path dead ends, you see a shimmer for a brief second, as in that brief instant you can see far more than the limited light that's been provided for you, the shimmer was in the shape of a giant dais whose edge comes to where the path dead ends, you can see the railings that angled out sharply away from the path form a complete circle around the shimmer. The dais seemed to be made of light and now that the shimmer is gone, you can't see it anymore, only the void of the abysmal darkness beyond the edge of the path. |
