You ask her if theres anything else significant she remembers about Esme, and what we should expect for the future.
Verity shakes her head, moving onto the next patient, sedating her and ripping her shirt open without a second thought, carefully extracting huge chunks of glass and shrapnel from her exposed torso. "Nothing that really makes her stand out. Other than her ascension of course." She places an especially nasty piece of twisted metal into a medical tray. "I'd imagine, though, that her perception of this world and the immaterium alike is very different from our own. She's a trustworthy and honest person."
She uses medical gel and sutures to close the deep lacerations, gently, running her hands over the girl's ribs and pressing on her stomach, searching for more debris. "You best remember that Inquisitor. She carries the torch of the Emperor into the unknown, and the sororitas will follow her in faith."
Verity hesitated, pressing on one point again before a scalpel slit out of her medical implant with a gentle metalic tone.
You bring up the warp portal machines.
Verity shrugs, pointing the scalpel at you. "Less talking, more healing!" She slowly begins her operation. "I'd imagine a traitor got on your ship. That pod was probably knocked out and then the device implanted some time later and its presence on the pod kept it in a state of disrepair. Knowing how devious hellspawn and filthy witchkin are, no offense meant, it was probably cloaked from the cog boys through some... sort of... psykic... means... Oh Emperor..."
With a grimace Verity gently closed the woman up, a bitter, decayed smell reaching your nose. Reluctantly, Verity extended a needle from her medical wrist mount, injecting the girl in the neck. She spasmed a moment later, flatlining.
"Shrapnel had torn through her stomach..." She whispered, looking just a bit shaken, moving onto her next patient. |
