Legends were talking about trees of incredible proportion, even said to hit the ceiling of the world at time! Interested by this, some members of the Saken decided to look for themselves.
They were not disappointed.
The wood here was tall, and sturdy. Perfect for all matter. Even more, it isn't lacking and soon, the first settlers would install themselves in this place.... and upon visiting their new land, would soon come across the timeless city. A wonderful place to get started and a nice port city to make the exploitation of this somewhat rough land.
With time passing, adaptation would make the native smaller, better suited for climbing mountains and trees, as the climate is also a little more convenient. They would also start learning from the Selenian palace about... what exactly? The strange language seemed hard to understand... and yet, it seemed to talk about eternity, cycles that always go back and forth...
The Storykeepers, the order that developped from the first skalds, started to spead around, and installed themself too in Selenia, directing the study of the wall scriptures. One day, they will be able to decipher it entirely. From the first part they understood, started to arise a group believing in the Moon's powers, the most proeminent symbol around.
These knowledges, incidentally, came back to Pantheon, which soon found out an interesting use of the strange language and, more particularily, from some ways it was written of the wall, in a pure metal from the nearby mountains. It seemed to conduct the will of men in it, when concentrating enough... it would be soon used to create the first runes, symbols of power and magic, a way to make the words come true.
Unrelated to this, Belnan worked on another story... one that was tying reptiles together, either in glory or shame is up for the future to tell... |
