The year is 298AL and House Bulwark is in King's Landing for the Tournament of the Hand. During the feast, Ser Adham Dannett accused the Bulwarks of raiding his lands. The next morning Donatello Bulwark struck him down in a duel, and Ser Adham slowly died of convulsions and a bloody flux. Meanwhile, Lord Leonardo Bulwark hunted down the Fox Knight, a bandit who he suspected of being behind the raid. With him were his old friend Ser Joris Landseer, Ser Bryan Tolson, a Dornishman seeking a lost Valyrian steel blade, and Orten Lugus, whose father had saved the Fox Knight's life. The Fox was captured after gravely wounding Ser Joris, but Orten killed him during an escape attempt. That evening, Lord Bulwark received a mysterious gift: a dagger with a dragonbone hilt that contained vial containing a few drops of clear liquid. The next day, Lord Bulwark spoke with the Hand of the King in secret, and gained Ned Stark's support as well as a warning that this plot could be part of something far more sinister. Soon after, Maester Splinter had determined that the liquid was the Tears of Lys, a poison which kills by destroying the bowels. As he went to tell Ned Stark, he met Varys the Spider, who revealed that Jon Arryn died of the same "illness" that struck down Ser Adham, and that the Bulwark shield found at the site of the raid had been stolen from the trophy room of Lord Kevan Lugus.
It is the morning of the Jousting semifinals and the Archery contest. What do you do?

Hmm. Did Splinter actually tell Ned about the poison? Because if not, we're switching to his POV and telling Ned as soon as possible. Otherwise, to Donnie and the Archery contest.
>>
After about an hour, most of the archers have been eliminated through missing their targets. Only a handful are left, including Ser Balon Swann of the Kingsguard and Jalabhar Xho the Summer Islander. The targets are set to one hundred paces, and each competitor is given three shots.
Roll 4d6, and drop the lowest die.
>>
rolled 1, 6, 5, 5 = 17

>>19516386
If we have to, we're spending a destiny point.
>>
>>19516402
>>19516386
Oh, and I'm taking the first 3 rolls I see

1 Destiny point spent
You make your shots, although just barely. Only four of you remain as the targets are moved back ten paces: Ser Swann, Prince Jalabhar, and a young Dornishman. Prince Jalabhar looses three arrows, striking the Bullseye and and the inner ring twice, and bows to the applauding crowd his feathered cloak sweeping behind him. The Kingsguard knight manages to hit the inner ring, but doesn't hit the bullseye. Now it is your turn to shoot.

Same deal again, 4d6 and drop the lowest.

>>
rolled 2, 2, 2, 3 = 9

>>19516603
And that one was even worse. Another destiny point I guess.
>>
>>19516610
Bullseye, fuck yeah.
>>
1 destiny point spent
Two of the arrows fly wide, to the audible disappointment of the crowd, but the third manages to strike the bullseye and they begin cheering. You're guaranteed at least third place. Finally the Dornishman takes his mark. He makes one bullseye and hits the inner circle, then splits Jalabhar Xho's arrow down the middle and the crowd roars. The winner, Anguy, wins 10,000 Gold Dragons, while you and Jalabhar each take a purse with a few hundred Dragons.
>>
>>19516708
Buy a drink for the winner and Xho. Might as well have a little fun.
>>
>>19516708
Very nice. Just to check Destiny points regenerate eventually right?
>>
>>19516748
Yes. You also permanently spend destiny points to automatically pass a test, heal all damage, or avoid certain death, or to gain a Benefit or remove a Flaw or Drawback.
>>
Anguy refuses to let you buy him a drink, given his newfound riches. He drops a handfull of coins on the bar at the Ale Tent and loudly proclaims that he's buying for everybody. Jalabhar is happy to talk, and over some Dornish wine tells you of his home, the Red Flower Vale, and how his wicked brother drove him from his home. "When King Robert finally agrees to help restore me to my rightful place, I hope you will be there to fight alongside me!"
>>
>>19516887
I'm assuming your'e the Maester.

"Perhaps. It all depends really."
>>
>>19516942
Yeah, I forgot the name field.

"Depends? Bah, you sound like Arryn, or Littlefinger. But this new hand Stark is a great warrior like King Robert. Surely he will understand the rightness of my cause, and convince your king to declare war on the usurper. When I am King of the Summer Isles, I will send you a Goldenwood bow in memory of your fine shooting today."
>>
>>19517037
"That would be a fine gift. If Robert does declare war on your usurper, I would be more than happy to join your cause."
>>
You drink for a while, watching Lancel Lannister running all around the tourney grounds on some errand for the King, when Jory Cassel comes up to you. He smiles, but he looks a bit worried. "Hello, Donatello. You jousted well yesterday. You haven't seen Arya Stark at the Tourney Grounds, have you? Small girl, auburn hair, a bit bruised from getting into mischief? She's missing, and I remembered she seemed to like the sister of your friend Orten, and might have gone to see her."

aaaaaa, I couldn't help but laugh.
>>
>>19517295
No, not since you saw her in the stands at your joust.
"That's a shame. If you do see her, bring her back to the Red Keep. Maybe tell Marita Lugus, in case she does show up."
>>
Guys, you know that poison we hound at the hilt of the dagger.

I hope you made the connectin. Its the same poison that is used to kill Jon Arryn and Adham Dannett.

I think someone tries to frame us for both murders. We should tell this to Ned Stark.
>>
>>19517369
Yeah. We should. SPLINTER HO!
>>
Maester Splinter heads out to find Ned Stark, and finds him watching the joust semifinals. You arrive in time to see The Hound dismount in triumph as Jaime Lannister picks himself up from the dust, and Gregor Clegane and Loras Tyrell prepare to tilt at each other.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaIwtO6VWCU
With the victor's and runner up's purses not ready, everyone leaves the stands and you're able to catch up to Ned Stark as he heads back to the Red Keep
>>
>>19517433
"Lord Stark. I just realized something of the utmost importance. However, I cannot speak of it in public. Do you have a place somewhere where we can talk without being overheard?"
>>
>>19517455
"I don't think there are any places like that in King's Landing, but at least in the Godswood we'll only be overheard by the Old Gods. I will meet you there after I meet with the Small Council."
>>
>>19517507
Yes, my Lord, you will want to know about this.
>>
It will be a few hours before Stark will be ready to meet with Splinter. What will you do until then? Do Lord Bulwark or Donatello have plans?
>>
>>19517507
"There might not be any time. The future of House Bulwark may hang in the balace, and with it perhaps the fate of you as the Hand. All I can tell you this openly is that it involves how Jon Arynn died."
>>
>>19517547
Shit. Too late.
>>19517541
Donatello. We might as well search for Anya as he really has nothing better to do.
>>
>>19517541

Does Lord Bulwark know of the Tears?
>>
>>19517566

He does. Splinter told him.
>>
>>19517566
Good point. Does he? That could change a lot.
>>
>>19517566
Yes, Maester Splinter told him first before being sent to tell Ned Stark.

>>19517561
Okay, where do you want to look?
And no, "In the secret passages below Maegor's Holdfast" isn't appropriate given Donatello's in game knowledge.
>>
>>19517599
We need to think like the little girl. The shops?
>>
Who's Anya again?
>>
>>19517541
>>19517588
Good, but, we need to be cautious. If someone is setting us up, we dont know When they will move.
Have enough of our personal guard set up around the Bulwark Manse to make those near believe we are there. Give a letter to one of our men, a trusted one, to send a letter of Splinter that has the Real location of where we hide.
The sewers and tunnel under King's landing are large and discrit, and there is also hiding amongst Flea Bottom in smallfolk cloths. We cant 'look' like nobles, even our men must wear peasents garb and sink among the common man.
>>
>>19517614

Lets question people who have seen her before shebecame lost.
>>
>>19517617
Neds daughter.
>>
>>19517655

You mean Arya.
>>
>>19517643
Not a bad plan.
>>
>>19517655
Isn't that Arya?
>>
>>19517680
>>19517665
Whoops.
>>
>>19517655
>>19517617
Anya is Nod Stenk's daughter

Asking around, Donatello finds that Arya had dancing lessons with a Braavosi named Syrio Forrel. You soon learn he is usually found around the River Row markets at the Waterfront.

Lord Leonardo and a few of his guards enter their Manse and leave through a service door in servant's garb, hiding out at the Dragonshead Inn on the Street of the Sisters.
>>
>>19517778

>Nod Stenk

I lold.
>>
>>19517778
Well, then let's go to the markets. Leo can take care of himself for now, he almost killed a boar with his bare hands. He'll be fine with his guards.
>>
Say, is the text in the OP a summary of all previous events?
>>
>>19517778
well lets view and perhaps even attend as prop to those dancing lessons. perhaps some social graces would suit us, Donatello. Father hallways says we are a bit hotheaded, so some culture wont hurt, while we escort arry to her father after lessons are over.

as for the Maester bring two or so guards, just in case it is needed- i dont want no ambush killing the hand and a skiny Maester
>>
>>19517827
Yeah, pretty much. There's also links to the suptg archives
>>
>>19517872
Grand. I'll get around to reading them some time, but that day is not today.
>>
>>19517872
>>19517881
Also I meant to say thanks but forgot
>>
>>19517850

i think thats not a good idea. We should just ask for the girl, since she is our priority now. Sides, Donatello does not strike me as the guy to try learning something if it doesnt involves sheep or his Sword.
>>
>>19517894
So you're going down to the Markets to ask Syrio Forel about her? Or asking the people you know around the Tourney Grounds?
>>
>>19517894
we can watch it and decide afterwards if we like it...
>>
>>19517918
lets see about syrio forrel.

it'd be nice to step in on a actual dancing class...
>>
>>19517918

Master takes guards with him.

We go ask Syrio Forel about her.
>>
>>19517918
I imagine that would make the most sense. He should be the last one to have seen her.
>>19517919
You are right. Still, i think Don was the brave foolish scottish barbarian type with a sheep fetish. Sounds unlikely.
>>
>>19517968

Nope, Don is the crazy badass who have sodomized a horse.
>>
Splinter goes off with a few guards, and spends a few hours talking with his fellow Maesters.

The markets of King's Landing are busy at any time, and with the Tournament they are filled with merchants and travellers from all the Seven Kingdoms and beyond the Narrow Sea. Captains and merchants haggle over wares, bookmakers shout out odds for the Melee, jugglers and magicians and minstrels perform for the crowds. You look around for a while, and eventually a short man with curled black hair approaches you. "You are looking for me, yes?" he says in a Braavosi accent.
>>
speaking of turtles, what is the possibility of arranging our battle troops in a tercio type unit, with heavy crossbows replacing handguns?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgQDZKP-pmE

Seem very turtles-ish to me, - add round small shields, like the macedonian phalanx for the pikemen and we have a nice unit of heavy infantry that can really say 'not one step back' by being able to deal with anything in front, flanks or rear.
>>
>>19518032

If you are Syrio Forel, then yes. I wanted to ask you some questions. Its about Arya, It seems she is lost, so we are seraching for her. Maybe you can help?
>>
>>19518032
"are you a dancing master and do you teach a small girl? what is her name?"

if this is syrio forel we can ask where she is, as she is being locked for by her father's man, Jory Cassel.
>>
>>19518042
awesome!

house bulwark dialect has a faux spanish accent as of now!
>>
>>19518099

That sounds better. Seconding
>>
>>19518115

NOPE!
>>
>>19518127
what you'd prefer Aussie or kiwi accent?
>>
>>19518144
>not British accent for everyone ever in Westeros
>>
>>19518144

Nope.

>>19518154

Not british accent thats for sure.
>>
>>19518144

Why do we need an accent? We will probably speak the same as the other people in the fiefdom we belong to.
>>
>>19518156
Do you even Charles Dance
>>
>>19518166

Seconded.
>>
>>19518176

No i meant, i dont want british accent too, though its fits us better than spanish.
>>
>>19518166
we are on a island , probably the closest westerosi island to the free cities and the continent of essos.

we most definatly have accent diffrent from the stock westerosi.

heck most westerosi have diffident accents even in their own fiefs, since its as big as south america.
>>
>>19518032
"Yes. I'm looking for Arya Stark. She's gone missing, and I've heard you may know where she would likely go off to.
>>
>>19518193
I always took it we sounded more like South Africans, or the people on the Isle of Man.
>>
>>19518042
Well, you'd probably just order your men into the Phalanx, Shield Wall, Square, or Tortoise Shell formations. You'd want men with good discipline, as those complex formations have high Warfare difficulties to perform properly. Your personal guards should be able to do it, but the garrison troops will probably have trouble with it since they're not trained well enough

>>19518060
>>19518099
"I am Syrio Forel, and I do teach Arya Stark the water dance of Braavos. I do not doubt that Eddard's men have trouble finding her. You Westerosi look, but do not see. I am not greatly worried for Arya. She is a smart girl."
>>
>welshmen
>ever keeping down anything
Do you guys even history?
>>19518250
"Look but do not see? What kind of... oh bloody hell, with all due respect, sir, aren't you supposed to keep an eye on Arya while you teach her? Regardless, we need to find her. Do you know where she is?"
>>
>>19518250

Then help us finding her. His father is worried. And knowing her better than us, your help would be invaluable.
>>
>>19518250
"Really? You aren't worried about her? Even smart people make foolish choices and do foolish things on occasion."
>>
>>19518250
i was thinking more allong the way of combined arms in the same unit. crossbowmen, swordsmen and pikemen, changing ranks and columns as according to situation and orders.- its basically what allowed the tercio to fight of almost any other kind of formation off, up until the advent of the gun line.

but yeah we most likely need more warfare ranks and more discipline for it.

Now for the reply.

"does that mean that you know where she is? since you see while i am just gazing?"
>>
>>19518271

This, if only because it fits donny better
>>
>>19518250
I see well then how are you enjoying the torment

(make small talk)
>>
>>19518351
>enjoying the torment
Oh God what
>>
>>19518271
"Just so. A man seeks his betrothed, but she dresses as one it is not polite to notice. A married woman meets with her lover, but nobody notices as he uses another name. And you have been accused of things you did not do. Arya's dancing lessons are done for the day, and I set her to doing exercises, so she will be light as a feather and quick as a snake. Westerosi do not appreciate Braavosi teaching, so perhaps she hides from some unhappy Septon or guard."
>>
>>19518363
there is public torture as a show in westeros. in the markets. free display!

people even pay or rent it by the hour to be or torment others!
>>
>>19518397
the words, it hurts.
>>
>>19518397

Well, its not appreciating, just skeptism. Anyway thanks for your help, i guess.
>>
>>19518397
"You seem to trust the Bulwarks quite fast for a man who's not Westerosi by birth. I thank you for this, but really, I need to find Arya, so if you could please direct me to the general location where she is performing these exercises, I would be grateful."
Then mumble under our breath:
"Can't quite see why you need to exercise to dance, but what do I know, I'm about at dancing as a pig with its feet tied to a pole"
>>
>>19518397
"Wait... that whore with Tolson... THAT'S the Dannett girl?"

MIND BLOWN. Or Donnie having a foolish moment.
>>
>>19518451
Go with this.
>>
>>19518325
Probably the best way to do that is having archers near some infantry, and having them move in front of or behind them as necessary. Leonardo and Donatello have pretty good warfare and could probably get Trained units to be flexible enough to fight like a Tercio most of the time, and Elite units almost all the time.
>>
>>19518468

So first upon returning to shell, we double the trainning schedule.
>>
>>19518485
Good plan. Actually, Leo should send a Raven to Casey telling him to do just that.
>>
>>19518431
>>19518397
translation:

Ned Stark and his wife. Littlefinger perhaps is the lover, since he has another name (but it could be the kingslayer, since that is another mane too) and we are being set up.

why is a swordmaster also dr. in psychology, deduction and sociology?
>>
>>19518453
Syrio smiles. "Just so."
>>19518451
"In the Red Keep, of course."
>>
Guys. we should have a contingency plan for when shit hits the fan and Stannis goes for King's Landing. The Bulwarks will not sail for Stannis, will they?
>>
>>19518500

>>

>>19518506

>>
>>19518506
"Alright. If she's in the Red Keep, then I guess she is fine."

>>
>>19518506
"Oh. The Red Keep? Well I suppose if she's there, it's fine. Thanks for your help, Forel."

>>19518530

>>
>>19518537
Uh, if we start taking hostages, we're going to look very guilty and start some nasty shit with the Dannetts.
>>
>>19518507
Why would we?
We follow the Seven and the Great Atun, Turtle of the Island. We'd support Stannis if he ordered us to, but we aren't sending troops.
>>
>>19518537

No, we would lose Neds support if he were to learn, not to mention it would make us look like criminals.

>>19518542

That doesnt make sense. Why she is hiding?
>>
>>19518501
The First Sword of Braavos must know how to read a man
>>
>>19518552
If we don't sail for Stannis, he will see us as traitors. And then, he'll besiege the Shell. Or at the very least get all uppity and strip us of our lands (officially).
All I'm saying is, we need a plan in case he decides to fuck us over. Or else the Bussards will get what's left.
>>
>>19518550
Hostage until we can return her to her family. Or we propose a marriage. End the feud by tying our blood together.
>>
>>19518537

It would be nice to find her. But preferably dont take her hostage... Who knows, maybe we can strike a deal with her, she seems to be on the run from her family.
>>
>>19518569
True. We'll have to send troops I guess, and hope they don't die.
And he'll have bigger things to worry about than a house that doesn't send troops into battle for him if it goes down like it did.
>>
>>19518557
Thinking for a moment, you remember that Adham Dannett was here with a fat old merchant named Rubin Piper, who was to marry Iris Dannett. Perhaps she didn't want to marry an obese man twice her age, or at least not one without a great title?
>>
>>19518572
wot
"Oh hey guys, we're just here, kidnapping your daughter, despite claiming we don't do that kind of shit. Aren't we just so awesome you want to ally with us?"

If we tell the Dannetts that we found their daughter getting fucked like a 2-dragon whore, they'll get mad I wager. This information doesn't need to be acted on immediately, I'd say.

I don't quite remember the dilemma so much though, so I'm probably going to defer to your judgement unless something really strange (like fucking kidnapping) comes up.
>>
>>19518561
do we have any daughters or young women

the water dance see if we can get lesions for them
>>
>>19518569

Who the fuck are the Bussards?

And its simple, we are at Neds side on this one. If we manage to make him survive. Stannis wouldnt be a problem.
>>
>>19518606
Would make sense. A man seeks his betrothed, but she disguises as one not customary to notice. A man's looking for his wife who's dressed up as a poor woman/beggar/whore/other lowlife scum and thus is not noticed.

Quite simple, actually.
>>
>>19518613
We do have one young daughter, yes, but she's in the Shell.

Also, none of our characters know what water dancing is. Still, saving Syrio from his untimely death would be nice.
>>
>>19518609
How about we offer her refuge in good faith within the Shell?
>>
>>19518606

Thats fucking IT. Guys, we could give Iris the freedom the she wants, and save her from whoring herself. That way, we gain an ally from Dannets.
>>
>>19518512
tercios are the evolution of legions.

while legion formation used only one type of troop, tercios used three / two tipe in the same mass unit,
a big block of spearmen forming a square with empty middle and backed up by swordsmen and ranged troops in mobile small subunits that could enter and exit amongs the ranks to fire at other infantry masses or skirmish under the pikewall.

usualy in dragons tooth formation (now used the term Hedgehog defence), similar to the roman maniples.

but since a tercio has a thirt or a half of its troops missile troops, when the enemy got between the tercios they got crossfired from their front and flanks, and the tercios did not have to move to pike them, thus maintaing the battle line.

of course the tercio is intended to be supported by cavalry to flush out stragglers between them, so they dont have to divide focus, and guard the battle line flanks.

Fuck the Dannetts. They started this shit. They deserve whatever comes to them.

>>
>>19518642
It's not impossible, since the Shell isn't far from King's Landing, maybe a couple of days off, but come on. If we take her with us we're going to further antagonize the Dannetts. Look, I'm all for free choice of spouses and shit, but the Dannetts evidently aren't, and we can't afford to make enemies with them.

If we take their daughter, that's the first move. I know it would technically be freeing her, but that's not how everyone else would see it. Twisting actions to look different than what they are is very, very easy.

BUT, this quest is supposed to run on democracy, and the majority obviously wants to do it, so I say let's go for it. I'm opposed, but I'm not going to hold up the quest just because I have a differing opinion.

They're a cool house and great, understandable antagonists.

Since April is back in The Shell, and we're not exactly going to send for her to join the melee, I was thinking we wait to stat her until the tourney's over.

It looks like everyone's agreeing to talk to Lya, aka Iris Dannett, so Donatello heads to the Greentree Inn. You find Ser Joris up and about, regaling people with the story of his victory over the Fox Knight and accepting free meals in lieu of the drinks Maester Splinter's forbidden him while he's on Milk of the Poppy and Firemilk. Asking around you discover Lya is at the Jade Springs, a nearby brothel.
>>
>>19518836
They do, it's just that Lysa and Milklips are keeping them up in the Vale in case of Lannisters. Of course, that makes them an even better potential adversary, for reasons that are spoilers to showfags.

hide her?

and what if littlefinger or Varys finds it it is in his interest for Donnett to find we are hiding her, or the ones scheming to get our two houses to feud manage to inform Donnett about it while we all ar in kings landing.

no we need to have her in the shell post haste, so that no one in kings landing can have hard proof of us harbouring her (hard proof being only personal affects or herself).
>>
You head to the Bulwark Manse, but do not find your father. A guardsman hands you a letter intended for Maester Splinter, and asks that you reseal it with your signet afterwards. It explains that to avoid assassins, he has disguised himself and is hiding at the Dragonshead Inn, near the Dragonpit. You continue towards there, but on the Street of sisters Orten Lugus appears. well, we have ourselves and iris walk away, forcing orten to draw steel first.

then bullrush him, gut him with our dagger and finally butfuck his corpse. perhaps leave the last one out as we need to get to the ship.

still its better then having him alineate our person from Iris with lies and deception, and we can make her understand that he is a distraction meant to foster strife and do her harm.
>>

if he does not draw steel then that much better, considering we had two, no three sucessful intimidation rolls - the last one skipped by the railroading GM.

And it's not so much railroading as Donatello being really shit at social stuff and a few bad rolls. It could have gone another way, but you didn't scare Orten off before he convinced Iris.

we could beat orten up- he is smaller than us and a few head butts and some nice stomps should put him our of commission for some time. - although we would have to arrange that he be finished off afterwards by someone, with what happened in the ally not getting to anyone else.
dead men tell no tales after all.

but at any rate he is already butfucking us, and the more he talks the more his chances go up in the butfucking process.

we are not a talky one, we are a hulk samsh one. and we should get to smashing this talky man.

Alright, consensus seems to be you grab Iris' arm and walk off with her. Orten screams "Help! He's attacking that woman! Help!" and draws his blade. A young man, who you recognise as one of Dannett's squires, steps out of the crowd waving his sword at you.
Seeing at three armed men, the smallfolk part around you to avoid harm and get a better look.

that is not the problem
the problem is that the heir of house bulwark beat up a bannerman of house lannister and that one is a witness in said heir to house bulwark abducting lady iris.

so yeah, dead men tell no tales.
Orten must die.- he has shown his colours as our enemy and must be disposed off accordingly.

obviously he attacked us, and we had to defend ourselves, Lya running away scared of Orten and her foolish and halfwitted vilanous family.

You strike Orten hard across the arm, and feel your sword clang against mail. His own strike is weak, and you don't think it'll even bruise you. The squire, however, is a strong young man and grief has made him ferocious. He swings wildly against your belly, and winds you for a moment.
Iris, meanwhile, is fleeing from the scene. It looks like she's headed North, to the Dragonshead Inn.

>>
Okay, I need consensus here. Orten is at your mercy and trying to get away. There's a crowd of people watching, and the Goldcloaks are coming. What do you do?
>>
Just leave him alone until the Goldcloaks arrive and we can tell them that as a noble lord, we will handle this ourselves. The commoners can testify that he drew his blade first.

Yes.

Kick Orten in the face as hard as possible and get to Lya.

A small troop of Goldcloaks arrive, the people dispersing to let them through. They carry away Orten, who couldn't resist if he wanted to, and the Dannett squire willingly goes with them, still in shock. Their leader looks at you and says "Come on. We're taking the lot of you to the Red Keep."

Leonardo is sitting at the bar when Lya, the courtesan, bursts into the Dragonshead Inn. She runs to him and says "Lord Bulwark! "If I may so suggest, you and your people may find refuge in the Shell for the meantime. Until such time as our King Robert cools down enough to see reason"
>>
>>19521594
"Then I won't pry into matters. What I wished to speak to you about was the death of Jon Arynn, and how it connected to that of the late Ser Dannett. Both were killed by the poison known as "The Tears of Lys." I believe someone may be trying to frame House Bulwark for both deaths. Especially with the dagger that was sent to my Lord."

>>
>>19521663
"I suspected as much, and worse. I already resolved to tell Lysa, but I'll be sure to let Renly know as well. If they seek to wipe out one house of Baratheon bannermen and implicate another, they must know. You must let Stannis know."
>>
>>19521795
"Of course. There is another thing, however. Lord Varys informed me that a shield identical to the one found at the site of the raid had been stolen from the trophy room of Lord Kevan Lugus. Orten Lugus killed the Fox Knight, who was suspected of perpetrating the raids, during the Fox Knight's attempted escape, despite accounts informing me that it was most likely unnecessary to outright kill him."
>>
>>19521825
"I see. A Lannister bannerman. Do you know why I suspected the knife was part of something more? Tyrion Lannister had a man try to kill my son using a knife with a dragonbone handle, and is being brought to Winterfell to answer for his crimes. Someone must have stolen it from Baelish, and used it to try to turn the realm against Stannis. He returned to Dragonstone after Jon Arryn died, doubtless they'll use that against him"
>>
>>19521944
"My Lord, are you certain it was stolen from lord Baelish? He is not a man to be trusted."
>>
Are we at the Autosage limit yet?
>>

"It was Baelish who told me the knife belonged to the Imp. Why would he say that if he wanted me to blame Stannis?"
