The day everything changed. You were born not too long after, into a world of ashes. Civilization was sparse, fragmented, and rocked to its foundation. The past concepts of race had been literally dumped on its head, which sometimes separated in the case of a Dullahan. That was the day humans were no more, mutated into monsters of all shapes, sizes, and species. With a Frost (male yuki-onna) for a father and a Gorgon for a mother, you could have wound up looking quite strange. However for the most part you simply resemble a Frost.Except for your hair turning into snakes of ice if it grows too long.
FUCK YES.

>>19878847I realized that if Karen transforms while we are over there then she's dead, unless we get some kind of radiation proof vehicle... but we'd likely run out of fuel.Is it wise to bring her into the deadlands?
After dropping Karin off back at her home while doing your best to avoid her mother, Amber, and that whole... Situation... You start your jetbike back up and quickly soar up and up into the blue summer sky.Up here, at least, you can relax a bit. Get your mind straight.Well, as straight as you can get it. You are planning a trip into the deadlands, after all. The place most people never come back from, the place almost no one knows anything about. All to hopefully find and investigate another ancient Frost ruin and recover a sword that you can stab yourself with to maybe cure your ice-core. You were directed there by a vision after slipping on a helmet, when who you assume was some king that looked an awful lot like yourself stabbed you and then pointed to a rudimentary map....Not your worst plan. There was that three-way with the two genki scylla girls and their punk rock werewolf friend, but you digress.Though you still have the scars...

>>19879012Goddamn it we have the best pastSo many random quotes. Also I remembered the part when we were reading the histories while I was at the supermarket a few days back and broke down laughing,I was completely unable to explain what was so funny because how are you meant to say you remembered a perfect use of the term "Spooge luge"
Straining the bike into a jarring hard-g turn, you just make some basic loops and rolls while you think. You need supplies, stuff that will let you live inside the deadlands, where the radiation is supposed to be bad enough that it will cook you inside and out in a matter of minutes. You've never really been one to wear protection, but now it seems a tad unavoidable. But the though that just a relatively thin layer of rubber and such will be keeping you alive makes you uneasy. There isn't exactly a pull-out method for radiation, unfortunately.Rick was only a bit of help concerning equipment, but it's not as though you're completely in the dark. You and your dad have sold no small amount of that sort of thing over the years, and you could certainly contact some of the previous buyers to see about re-procuring some of it. Certainly not for cheap. Otherwise... You may have to venture back to the zombie-infested carrier, which might have more modern gear anyways, you don't really know.Figuring it's worth a try, you attempt to hail your father over the radio, but get no response. He's probably working on something and can't hear it. Nadine should be in the house near it, but on a hot day like this she's probably just lounging around in neglige, sucking on a popsicle, and shuffling through the latest "Lamia's Secret" catalog. That lazy, bratty imouto...Saga and Edda aren't allowed to touch the receiver after what the did last time, either. It had taken about six hours to clean out and dry it after the twins had attempted to clean it with orange juice.Actually it might be out of their reach now anyways, though Saga can get up pretty high if he strains his tail now...[ ] Fly home[ ] Fly into town where the equipment dealers might be[ ] Fly to Ivan's and see who's in for some carrier raiding

Have those shifts for the next 7 days at least, whee...I've narrowed the source of the poisoning down to either Burger King or a local Mexican place. Not eating at either of them again I don't think. On the plus side, I lost about 12lbs all said and done so it sped up my summer cut which I was only half-assing anyways because cutting sucks.>>19878960That choice is up to you guys>>19879074>>19879107I've been chewing through the Z&W archives to pick it back up once this ends. At least it's mostly just sitting in a truck.

>[X] Fluffy tails
rolled 58 = 58>>19879099[^] Fly to Ivan's and see who's in for some carrier raidingRound Two for the carrier. Why the hell not.
With the flourish of a few barrel rolls, you cut a new course toward Ivan's place. Recalling some of the past equipment you and your dad found, you're hoping to find something in far better shape. Not to mention you'd rather not have to spend all of your remaining dosh on radiation gear. If you do manage to cure your ice core, you're going to want that money to do things. Maybe fund a research team into discerning both what arachne eat and why it is never catgirls. Because first and foremost you are a man of science.Today though, you'll treat yourself a bit.A sudden burst of speed as you max the throttle and hit the afterburners, rocketing the bike forward so hard your calves and forearms strain to hold on as you duck low against the craft. The sonic boom turns gazes from below as you rocket over a small town and then skim low over a lake, kicking up a train of water behind you.At such speed, it takes far less time to reach Ivan's than it would if you were ferrying Karin along. If you'd pulled something like that, you might not survive past the landing.Expertly working the control to the vectoring nozzle and the flaps, you bring the bike in to a fast but controlled somewhat less-than-vertical landing, eliciting some very annoyed honks from a flock of geese. But fuck them, they shit on the beach too much anyways.
As strange as it might be for anyone else, you've grown quite accustomed to waltzing into the entrance of Ivan's cave. Your eyes only adjust for a moment before you see his simple but well-kept house inside of it.Now, though, you hesitate for a few moments outside the door. You know he's got bat-girl in there and they could be doing all kinds of unspeakable, indecent, lewd things. You know how were-anything girls are. No matter how innocent they might seem, there's some kind of innate, sadistic inner desire within all of them for some of the raunchiest, most bizarre lovemaking this side of the Spiked sea.Although you don't really know the bedroom policies of those that dwell on the other side. You've heard plenty of stories while you were in the army, though. Still, there's no tie on the handle of the front door. That was the agreed upon sign though, wasn't it? Maybe? Or was it a lantern in the window? Well there isn't one up there..."Fuck it." You shrug, turn the handle, and kick the door wide open. The "Tadaima" gets caught halfway in your throat at the sight that lays before you.

"You're one sick motherfucking bear, do you know that?" You clamp a hand over your mouth to avoid vomiting the entirety of your stomach contents, whatever they might be. You don't know, can't recall, the sight too sickening, to disgusting. It has your mind so fucked over you can't even think straight."E-Erik... This isn't uh... This isn't what it looks like, comrade..." Ivan banters, glancing between you and Essa, eyes wide and panicked. You can only shake your head in a mixture of horrified disappointment."I thought I knew you better than this, man. I mean, I don't even..." You just continue to shake your head."Oh hi Erik! What's up? Hmm? No Karin?" Essa frowns as she tilts back a bit to look into the entryway past you, and lets out a small let-down sigh as she sees that Karin isn't with you.But you don't care about that, not right now. Maybe not ever again."How could you do something this wrong, HOW?!" You throw up your hands, eyes boring into your werebear friend's skull as he shrinks down in his wooden chair, seated at the kitchen table.Essa, clearly at a complete loss, just raises an eyebrow at you."What's wrong, Erik?""I can't... I don't even..." You point at her, "I just didn't even think this... I mean... She's making you breakfast but you've got her dressed up in a schoolgirl costume instead of a naked apron? I mean what the fuck, dude? How do you even fuck that up? I'd let a maid costume slip, maybe, but this?" You shake your head one more time, "It's unacceptable."

"But this is my actual unifor..." Essa pipes up, pinching the sides of her skirt."You stay out of this, you should be ashamed of yourself. Pandering to his sick, twisted fetishes like that. You're a girl, you should know the rules. ROE states school uniform is only allowed for lunch, come on. Next you'll be holding ha... Haaaa... Haannn... I can't even say it." You take a seat, fixating on Ivan with one of your race's talents, the stare of disapproval. Well ok, not exactly a racial ability but you feel left out with just ice powers."It's not like she exactly got here with a ton of luggage, her other stuff is in the wash." Ivan shrugs before continuing to disassemble his Obrez, "Not to mention if you barge in here without even knocking, you deserve whatever you get.""Speaking of that, what's the secret symbol again?" You lean in close."How would I know? We never agreed on anything like that. The last few times I either heard the ruckus or had the misfortune of walking in on you. You call me sick, but you're the one into...""Stop right there criminal scum!" You stand up and attempt to forcibly close Ivan's mouth. No one must know your secrets."...I mean when I saw...""Silence!""And you had her up against...""No more!""While the other one was licking...""Comrade!" You plead."Well now that I've made my point. "It's not that rare for me to be awake this early, is it?" You shrug and settle back down."From what I remember, your squad used to douse you with cold water just to wake you up in the mornings. Until you turned it on them and it took an hour to chisel them back out because you refused to thaw them yourself. After that they switched to training flashbangs, didn't they?""Sometimes, when we had them." You admit. Other times they would just throw rocks at you until you got up.Ivan accepts a plate of food from Essa with a smile. But there's something else there, some twinkle in their eyes and you know in an instant something is afoot here. Or maybe it wasn't just a foot, you aren't sure if he's into that. Does Karin's tail count as a foot? You'll have to find someone able to answer that for you, but now isn't the time."Now be frank, Erik. Besides, we can nab the rest of Essa's stuff while we're there, too.""...A carrier.""Right." You nod."FULL of zombies from what Essa's told me. In the middle of the fucking ocean.""Yep.""And you want to go BACK?" Ivan leans forward, giving you a wide stare like he's trying to literally see past your bullshit."Yup, pretty much.""As opposed to maybe just... Buying some gear?""Frankly I'm not liking that tone. You know I'm on a limited budget. If I blow all of my money on radiation gear I clearly won't have enough for when I inevitably find the catgirl strip club of lore."Ivan opens his mouth, closes it, and blinks twice before frowning harder."I've never heard of any such thing. You didn't decide to drink that bottle of vodka I gave you a few weeks back, did you? I told you that was a bad batch." He picks up a penlight and flashes it in your eyes just to make sure.
After repeated assurances you hadn't drunk said bottle (you had, and regretted it the following day upon finding that it had been tainted by hallucinogenic algae), Ivan finally agrees to go along."So long as we don't stick around long. I don't fancy getting stuck there." He adds."Don't worry, don't worry. We made it out fine last time. Only a few of the zombies even figured out how to get onto the plane." You wave your hand as though to dismiss his concerns as though they weren't valid."And you want to do this today, I'm assuming?""I did, unless you had some kind of freaky all-day bloodsex marathon planned."Ivan looks back toward Essa who smiles knowingly with a small shake of her head."You did!?" You roar in a mixture of shock and accusation, standing up and pointing a finger so hard you nearly cause the glasses on the table to tip over."We had planned on picking berries for an experimental batch of vodka, pull your mind out of the gutter!" Ivan retorts quickly. You don't buy that. You don't buy that at all."Do you even have a plane ready?" Your werebear friend inquires as he stands up to stretch out, before placing his empty plate in the sink. Despite his protests, Essa immediately begins to wash it."Eh? Yeah I doubt dad cleaned it out or anything since last time, probably just need a bit of gas in it and we're golden.""So you want to leave now, than?""Well I thought we might pick Bill up along the way." You add."Now might not be... The best time." Ivan says slowly with a small wince.

Bill resists the urge to fidget as he sits, completely uncomfortable, on the barely dry grass. Across from him, three male kitsunes in traditional clothing, swords at their sides. None of them say anything, they haven't for the last hour or so. They've just been staring at him. At least he thinks so, but the old man seems to have his eyes closed, so he's not quite sure. All the incubus knows is, he never asked for this. Also he really wants to change...Finally one of the younger ones, Bill assumes it's one of Tomoe's brothers, speaks. Unfortunately, in a language that the incubus doesn't. The two younger kitsunes seem to speak back and forth, glancing over at Bill on occasion as they do. It only makes him feel all the more uncomfortable that the old man still doesn't say a word. The old man with the thin and close-cut white beard just continues to stare, maybe.***"So you're telling me he's meeting the parents, like, today?" You ask Ivan as the werebear shifts the gears of his technical and nods."That's what he said. Fox girl pretty much dragged him out of the house before dawn.""Shit that's got to be kind of awkward.""Speaking of that, how were things with Karin's parents? As you're wearing what you did yesterday, I'm just going to assume you stayed the night there." Ivan doesn't look over but you can see the faint glimpse of a knowing smirk."...I don't want to talk about it..."The conversation falls flat as the old Hilux continues to rattle along the pothole-ridden dirt road, until Ivan decides he's had enough of roads and cuts into a meadow. Even the souped up suspension bottoms out hard as the truck clears a large ditch. Thankfully the zeus is mounted up solid in the back, and the pintle mounts of the door PKMs don't seem phased in the least. Jimbo sure knows how to build em solid...
"How do you even know where to find him?" You finally ask after seriously contemplating buckling up as your head is nearly bashed against the dash during a hard impact."Tomoe said that they would probably end up on the top of a large hill. I know this terrain like the back of my paw, I've got a good idea of where they probably are."As you grab the ohshit handle yet again, you think about how to handle this. Sure enough, Ivan proves as reliable as usual, and you can see the outlines of several figures with the sun in the background. All at the top of some large, random hill. You wonder if Ivan's telling the real story, you've suspected for a long time that he can track things by scent, an ability he denies.Out of respect, the two of you leave the rather noisy rattlecanned Hilux at the base of the hill and climb the rest on foot. It's already heating up outside, and all this running around so early in the morning is souring your mood. You should have just stayed in bed, though being Karin's bed, that perhaps could have raised an entirely different set of issues. Finally you crest the top of the grassy hill and flop yourself down in the grass, wiping away the sweat from your forehead. That was a bigger hill than you'd thought, and steeper.Though something reinvigorates you, an opportunity that no matter how out of place, you just can't ignore."Bill... Are you wearing a dress?" You smirk."It's not a dress." The incubus scowls back.Than you notice the scows of the three kitsunes seated across from your friend, but you just shrug."Chill dudes, just a joke. Let's just talk, yeah. No reason to get murdered, man.We prepare for a yank-and-run, but we talk first.GENTLEMEN, everyone. We are GENTLEMEN.
"Ivan.""Erik?" Your werebear friend looks over, slightly panicked."I think we're going to have to do a Panama.""What the fuck is a...""PANAMA!" You dash forward, snag Bill by the wrist, spin around, and grab Tomoe. With no time to explain, you start to use the leftover morning dew to make the hill as slippery as possible as you run for the truck. Not only will it slow up any pursuit, but sliding down the hill will be a lot faster than running. There are road flares in the technical, you can puncture the gas tank and use those to ignite the fuel...Your plan is nearly in full on action before Tomoe twists your wrist and tosses you over her shoulder, you sail through the air and land in the grass right in front of the three seated male kitsunes."Alright, well I guess we can just talk this out like rational folk, right. First thing, though, can I get a dress? Not going to lie, feeling a bit awkward here." You say from your position on your back, fully exposed. For a moment you're VERY concerned about those swords and the possibility that Frost sashimi may be some kind of delicacy in the kitsune world, but that concern fades as quickly as it came. All because the old man seated in the middle makes a "snerk" noise before full on busting a gut, slapping his knee as he roars with laughter.A scowl of pure steel from Tomoe's mother and the old man quickly stops, coughing into his fist."This is indeed a serious matter you've interrupted here. This friend of yours must take responsibility for his earlier actions, but I admit I was beginning to worry this daughter of mine would never find a..."Another harsh glance, and the old man coughs into his fist again.

>>19881193>>19881203There's certain amount trolling a wedding ceremony can stand. We have clearly barrel rolled over that line with a jetpack. Carry on.
You sit up and scoot away, out of the reach of those swords. Though you know there's the possibility of magical fire to deal with..."While you've come at an inopportune time, I'm not as rigid about such things as most Daimyo. Certainly you're intruding on this affair, but I'll allow you to speak." The old man nods as he folds his arms. You only hear about half of that, because you're too busy prodding Bill in the ribs with your elbow, "Earlier actions? You dog."When Tomoe's mother clears her throat, however, you serious up quick."Right. So like I was saying, I've got the Ice-core and maybe a month left to live. Less than that in any condition to go out and do anything like I've got planned. I'm planning a trip into the deadlands to retrieve something that might be not only a cure for me, but any Frost with the condition. To do any of that, though, I need to first raid an old world aircraft carrier for radiation proof stuff. The whole place is full of zombies, which is why I need Bill here because he's pretty good at chopping them apart." You explain the rest of your story while the kitsunes listen. The old man nods a few times as he listens."I see, quite the serious matter. Well, I've no reason to stop him from going so long as he doesn't than attempt to shirk his duties while we induct him into our clan. You understand, do you not?" One of the old man's eyes actually opens, the harsh red orb focused on Bill who immediately nods repeatedly. Perhaps eager, or perhaps not wishing to find out what happens should he disagree.
"Interrupt the ceremony? You can't be ser..."The old man glances at his wife, who promptly stops talking."The last time I checked, I am the leader of our clan and my word is law."Tomoe's mother nods curtly with a grunt, before turning away."Just so long as you understand. We'll pick this back up upon your return." The clan leader nods once at Bill, before standing up himself."So we're good to go, than? I don't get a dress? Damn. Welp, you heard the old man, Bill, time to crack open this carrier full of undead." You clap your friend on the shoulder, spin around, and start down toward the truck.

No, thanks, I'd rather vent my frustration on some shuffling corpses." Tomoe grabs a handful of the fabric and tugs at it, clearly uncomfortable dressed like that. Though really you don't think it's that different from what she usually wears, just more girlish."Man, I know I have to get it over with eventually, whatever it is they want me to do, but thanks for the save." Bill sighs, "And for once I'll agree with you, I really want to change.""Bah, screw you two. Here I am in these dirty clothes, stinking of se... *ahem* Sweat. And you're whining because you get to look nice." You shake your head and open the door of the Hilux, before folding the seat forward, "You two lovebirds in the back so I don't have to see all the lewd shit you do."After avoiding a knife hand from Tomoe, you ease the seat back, hop in, and close the door."Man for your sake I hope you can clean sex stains with vodka." You glance over at Ivan."As if that would ever happen!" Tomoe decks you in the back of the head, and Ivan gets the technical underway toward your family house and the waiting plane.
>>19881507Why can't it ever be catgirls?
>>19881507>Seduce Bill in front of Tomoe
Unfortunately you have to take a quick detour back to Ivan's so Tomoe and Bill can change, though you rant that it would be way cooler if they just went dressed as-is. You and Ivan pass a flask of decent vodka back and forth as you wait by the Hilux, both of you watching Essa who is sleeping soundly suspended from the ceiling of the cave."So is that how she always sleeps?""Nah, just sometimes." Ivan shrugs."You totally plowed the wereb..."Ivan shoves you aside easily before walking around to the drivers side once more, and you notice Bill and Tomoe emerging from the mouth of the cave clad once again in their everyday clothes. Though this time Tomoe boasts a wide straw hat which looks pretty funny side by side with Bill's black wide-brim."Get a quickie in?"They both ignore you.Ignoring the roads almost completely this time, Ivan opts for a more "direct route" through some marsh and forest. While it certainly is a straighter line, you don't think it actually saves you much if any time. Though he seems to enjoy it far more as he hollers after every jolting bounce, waving his "emergency ration" of vodka (he apparently has several under his seat) out the window at a few other trucks taking the "direct route".The Hilux now boasting a paint job of pure mud, all of you a bit sore from being thrown around, you finally make it to your parent's place.Edda and Saga are romping around in the front lawn, chasing after glow-wing butterflies with some home made nets. They both shout cheerful greetings but don't run up to you.Nadine doesn't even acknowledge your arrival from her position on the porch, stripped down to a white bikini as she lays on a lawn chair in front of a fan, eyes closed.
>>19881618Go on.
>>19881618quick, draw a mustache and monocle on her with indelible inkfor old times sake
>>19881618>Hook Nadine and Tomoe up
Apparently both of your parents are out now, which is both good and bad. Bad because you thought maybe you'd see if your dad would want to tag along. Good because now you can just grab the keys and go instead of trying to convince him it is in any way a smart idea to be going back to the carrier. Certainly he would be willing to buy anything you need for you, but you don't want to be that kind of inconvenience. After last night... You feel it's about high time you be a bit more responsible.Keyword, BIT."Dad know you're taking the plane?" Nadine asks as she stands in the frame of the front door, pretending to watch you rifle through keys. It's obvious though that she's almost full-on staring at Bill and very spiteful of Tomoe. Even though it would be fun, you know she'd never forgive you if you trolled her about that right now. Not in front of Bill."Uh... Yeah he knows.""...Sure he does.""How did you know I was taking the plane, anyways?" You glance over at your sister, who's already started to sweat now that she's away from the fans. It's a shame she's so focused on Bill that she ignores pretty much every other boy at her school, you've heard the stories. With a body like that and her aloof attitude, you know she's one of the most sought-after and also the least obtainable. None of this anything you want to know, but more than once you've seen some of the local boys trading photos of her, mostly in her school swimsuit. She just shrugs, "Ivan's already walking the fuel line to it."
Well that saves you the hassle. The aircraft should still be loaded up with more or less everything else you might need. It should be easier to find the carrier now, with the beacon you'd placed on it and the instruments inside the big seaplane. >>19881808>Saiga 12Fuck yes!
>>19881858I would also tend to go with the MP5SD, for all the above stated reasons. It's perfect for the job at hand, though I wouldn't be opposed to bringing the G3 along as well to engage anything that may happen to be on the flight deck or hangar deck.
>>19881808[x] saiga 12
>>19881942Well the Saiga 12 has a suppressor.Maybe we have that attachment? heh.
>turn on microwave>forgot my AC was going>blows the circuitEvery fucking time...Though you'll take your G3 along for the ride, you want something a bit more suited for the tight hallways of the carrier. The MP5 is tempting, but sometimes you're a sucker for a good shotgun. And the Saiga 12 is a good shotgun. With a 12.5" barrel, a folding stock, a flashlight, and an Aimpoint T-1, it's more than ready to blast some angry undead. Seven 12rd magazines and two 25rd drums will hold enough buck and slug shells for you to get the job done. Though you'll have to conserve your ammo and make shots count, you won't need more than one per zombie with this.At your insistence, Bill loads up more MP5 mags than he would usually carry, and even Tomoe finally caves you forcing the MP5SD on her."I'm serious, I won't need it..." She shakes her head as you toss the sling over her head.Ivan snags the PP-19, "Because I don't really want to get bit up."You make the snap decision to bring along the ancient Frost armor. Zombies aren't shooting at you, so the steel plates will fend off them better than modern armor will. If nothing else, it should at least keep one from getting you in the back or something."Guns, booze, women... Well, a girl... This is turning out to be my kind of party!" You boast as you clamp down on a cigar between your teeth and make toward the plane."Wish me luck!" You shout back to Nadine."Yeah whatever..." She lazily waves a hand, already laying back down in front of the fans again.
>>19882104And then Papa-N /k/reamed his pantaloons. And damn Nadine, we are risking our neck here. Bitch, you cold.
>>19882104Wow. Our sister is a douche.
>>19882069I have a friend to introduce you to, his name is BAFFLE STRIKES. That's why so few people are willing to put a suppressor on a shotgun, because it's never been a particularly good idea when you can have a rifle, carbine, or machine pistol that's lighter, has a higher rate of fire, and uses much lighter ammunition. The suppressed MP5 is BY FAR the best choice here. The Saiga might even be a trap option.
>>19882141She's our sister, of course she's bitchy at us.
>>19882104Of course she doesn't need the MP5, she's just carrying it for us for when the shotgun inevitably runs dry.
>>19882104>You make the snap decision to bring along the ancient Frost armor.See? I knew that this armor was well worth the risk.
>>19882146100% this. There are ways around the baffle strikes, but it obviously does compromise the effectiveness of the suppressor. It is most definitely a trap though. Use the shotgun as OH SHIT backup, MP5 is the primary. Keep shouting at the Kitsune "NEED ANOTHER MAG!" It's like Black Hawk Down all up in this bitch.
I'm going to read the rest tomorrow, it's getting late/early. Thanks for the quest Papa-N, you're the best!
"Such a caring family..." You glance back at Saga and Edda, both passed out on the porch while ice cream bars melt uneaten all over their hands. You'll just let them sleep. It doesn't take too long to get the plane loaded up with what you brought, and it helps substantially that Ivan already fueled her up. Sliding into the pilot seat you check all the gauges and see it's all good to go. Ivan takes the chair next to you, as he's the only other one with any semblance of flight training. Bill can fly a jetbike, but probably not something like this."Ya'll ready?" You crane your neck back, "And seriously now, no shenanigans back there you two."Tomoe kicks the back of your chair, but you don't care. You're too amped up for what you're about to do. Is it crazy and reckless? Yep. But you wouldn't have it any other way."Ladies and gentleman this is ahhhh your captain speaking. We've got ahhhh bout a ahhh six hour flight to ahhhhh the carrier. Weather conditions are aaaahhhhh good with light winds out of the ahhhhh east. We'll be underway in just ahhhhh minute or so, so ahhhh just sit back and enjoy the flight. >>19882104
>>19882282>Oh Johnny labs, you so crazyYou keep climbing until you're at just ten thousand feet. High enough for a somewhat smooth flight, low enough to spot the carrier when you get closer. Using the previous heading, you chart the best course and adjust the controls accordingly. Already you're getting a faint signal from the beacon, and you can zero in on that once you get closer."How does this even work?"A loaded 9mm round bounces against your head rest as Tomoe fiddles with the subgun. You let Bill explain it to her, watching them both."See the mag release is here... This is the charging handle, you pull it back and lock it like this when you need to reload..." He goes over the simple operations as Tomoe watches."My my, aren't you two all close and shit now." You smile, chin resting on the headrest now, watching as Bill adjusts her hands and shows her how to work the safety.Tomoe tilts the gun and quickly racks the charging handle, hitting you in the face with another loaded 9mm round.

You and Ivan both chat idly as the plane drones on. It doesn't take long to give him the brief carrier layout you know about and he quickly looks over the plans for the rest of it. Both of you figure the reactor area is going to be your best bet for finding radiation gear. Thankfully there's a Geiger counter in the plane in case there's any leaks you need to be concerned about."I was surprised you didn't bring along an AK though.""Always wanted to try out one of these." Ivan pats the PP-19 resting against his stomach. You're about to ask if he even knows how, but than you remember that it's a slavgun so it takes all of a single brain cell to operate. Though in the gun world, more complicated doesn't usually translate into better. Sometimes, but rarely.Just as you're about to ask Bill if he wants to give the layout a look, Ivan stops you and shakes his head. This time you just look back and chuckle at what you see. Bill, head back, probably snoring but you can't hear him. Tomoe asleep as well, propped up against him, head on his shoulder. It's moments like these that you wish you had a camera.Which is why you'd brought one along."That should be fun later." You smirk as you snap a few pictures, "Awww, ain't they just such a cute couple?" You snigger and see Ivan chuckling along as well.Unfortunately, you're only a few hours into the flight...***Several hours later***"...But she doesn't know who I am..." He asks before letting out another long yawn."Shit man, didn't want to wake you up. You looked awful comfortable all snuggled up and shit with your waifu there."You and Ivan cackle as the incubus scowls and sits back down."Anyways, you should wake her on up, bout time to land this bitch. Try a tongue in her mouth, girls love it when you wake them up like that."Fiddling with the controls and descending lower, you finally spot the carrier far below. Even from all the way up here though, it doesn't appear too small. You'll circle back around and land on the opposite side as last time, you'll take a different route in and down, maybe avoid the undead hordes you'd riled up just a few days ago.Bill doesn't take your advice, and just wakes Tomoe up with just a slight shake of her shoulder.

You smirk and turn back toward the controls. It doesn't take too long to descend, or spin back around and come in low to land. It's a bit choppier than it was the other day, but not bad enough for the plane to not be able to handle. Ivan waits ready at the side door to leap out and up to the wing to lash the plane to the ship.Splashdown and he's out, jumping over to the side and quickly getting to work. You jump up and get a few more lines secured, making triple sure your ride back out isn't going to slip away."So this is it, eh?" Bill asks, his eyes slowly scanning up the impressive hull toward the top a long LONG ways up."Yeap. And we gotta climb up those rungs to get up there." You gesture at the rusted metal ladder."Fucking excellent...""Ladies first?" You inquire."So you can stare at my ass the whole way up? You two idiots first." You're pretty weighed down. So by the time you manage to make it to the top, you're a bit winded.Ivan emerges next, not even breathing hard. He may be bearmode (literally) but his cardio is hardly lacking. The submachine gun almost looks like a toy in his mitts as he adjusts the sling. The big Russian just grins as he notices you catching your breath.Tomoe and Bill emerge at almost the same time, and he gives you a quick thumbs-up behind her back without her noticing as he bites his bottom lip.Checking your own equipment, everything checks out. You've got the 25rd drum of slugs loaded up, the buckshot one you'll save in case shit really goes south. You check the chamber of the Saiga yet again, and touch a few mags on the chest rig.Hopefully you brought enough shells...The four of you finally end up at the far side and drop down to the scaffolding after testing its integrity. A little ways down and you find a hatch that isn't either locked or rusted shut, though even this one requires Ivan to wrench on to get open. You slowly lean around, flashing your light down the hallway but seeing nothing. No undead slimes, no zombies, no catgirls, and no werebat."Looks like we're good to go in?" No. We'll cut our way through as much as we can, only shoot if you absolutely have to.""Which hopefully we won't have to..." Ivan shakes his head."Eh? Scared of zombies bro?""From what I understand, Essa said you were almost pissing your pants on your way out because you were so scared.""I-I was not!"

I wonder if that was a deformed shell from leaving the mag loaded too long.Tomoe snickers, and so to protect your honor, you again take point. This time with one of your ice-blades, keeping with the idea of keeping quiet. The major difference this trip is that you aren't relying on night vision, and all four of you have a flashlight. While it certainly makes it easier to see further, it also doesn't make anything less creepy. Shadows play hell on your vision, causing you to jump and start at every doorway as you expect something to come jumping on out.Ivan stops in front of a diagram on the wall, looking it up and down as he scratches the back of his head."Damn this thing is huge... I think if we take the next right we should find stairs down toward the reactor..."You check the map yourself and see that he's right. You think.
"Well no sense in just standing here, let's try it." You take point again, this time making sure the saiga is able to come up in a hurry, stock folded to facilitate speed.Sure enough, after taking the right turn (again finding no undead), you hit the stairs. The first landing is safe enough, and you sigh, feeling a bit of the tension leave. The second landing, though...You blink. The zombies don't blink back, not a one of the twenty or so milling about as their eyes (or what's left of them, if they have any) turn toward you.1d20 for silent combat.

Or are you here for the eternal gloreh of the Partridges?A surge of undead, dried out bodies rush for you. Fighting the urge to scream like a little girl, you set your feet and ready your ice blade. As the zombies hit, you lash out and Tomoe and Bill come up on your right side. In the narrow chamber, it's difficult to make large swings, so you're mostly stabbing. At the same time, it also keeps the zombies from all getting to you at once."Step back, I'll handle this!" Ivan roars, and without even pondering it, you leap back. The werebear steps forwards, large metal pipe in his hand, and swings once. There's a sound like snapping meat and crunching bone as the pipe literally just forces it way through the undead bodies. Ivan's strength is always a marvel, but in his bear form, it really is something else.He keeps swinging as he advances down, cleaving several with each blow."Why did you guys even bring swords? Why did we even bring guns?"Upon reaching the second landing, however...You see that all three corridors branching off are full of yet more undead, who are turning to face the source of sound and beginning to head your way."Why is it never. fucking. catgirls?" DOWN DOWN DOWN
"It's not worth trying to fight them off, keep going down!" You hiss, urging the rest of them forward. The stairs loop back around and keep descending, and that's the way you plan on going, all the way down until you reach the reactor room floor. Hopefully with less zombies this time.Sometimes a quick thinker, Ivan snags the rail at the side of the stairs, rips it off its mounts, and literally bends it around until it's somewhat blocking the stairs behind you. Though the weight of the zombies behind it seems to be stressing the metal, which groans as more and more of the undead pile up, shoving, trying to come down after you."This way!" Tomoe calls out, waving you toward her.Without even stopping to think, you follow her into a corridor with Bill and Ivan pressing behind you. Your light flashes a sign reading "Reactor one", much to your relief. At least it seems you're headed in the right direction now.The kitsune is forced to jump back as a hatch on the left is shoved open and several zombies pile out of it. She's quick to lash back at them, and her hefty sword easily cleaves through their thin, dried-out remains."You weren't kidding when you said it was overrun!" Ivan grumbles as he literally just snaps a zombie in two and tosses the pieces behind him."See! See! I had every right to be terrified down here!"
>>19883786A gravity gun would be perfect. That and a carelessly placed saw bit which we can use to launch about.
>>19883786If we get a nice corridor where the zombies funnel through we should make ice patches to force them to fall down, then let tomoe use her fire to burn up a pile big enough to block the corridor. Or we can ice knight it up and light up the night with our saiga and ice beams

"Just shut up, we need to keep going!" Tomoe chides you, but her eyes widen as your light catches the hallway beyond. A hallway literally just chock full of undead that are now charging toward you."Relax and let me do my thing." Bill steps in front of you all, readying his sword, "I'll show you how it's done now that I've got some room to work with."You've seen Bill do his thing quite a few times, in quite a few places. One on one he's almost unstoppable, and put him against a mob of stuff and he can really slice through it like none other. It's almost graceful the way he spins and slices, limbs and heads flying around as his blade severs through them. Even Tomoe seems a bit taken aback as she watches. Really it's almost too fast to follow."So that's why they call him the fastest..." She blinks."He sure as shit isn't slow. Now let's roll!" You dash forward until you're behind Bill, who dispatches the last zombie in the hall with a quick flick of his wrist, which sends the end of the sword through its neck."Like I said, I just needed a bit of room to work with." The incubus shrugs. The brief moment of jubilation comes to a sudden, abrupt, and creepy end as the lights above flicker on and off quickly, casting a brief glow through the hallway of undead bodies.Feeling the hair on the back of your neck raise, you get the sudden urge to look behind you, and immediately wish you hadn't. There's something back there.

Something like you've never seen before. Its lanky body moves unnaturally in the light cast from the lights that continue to flicker on and off further down the hall. Its large, bulbous head seems to tilt quickly side to side as it walks toward you. With the way the lights flicker, it almost looks as though it's teleporting along.Than you see it, how it's feet don't actually touch the ground. It is teleporting along...And than the creature screams, a loud, piercing scream. Might want to check the Geiger Counter just to be safe as well, don't to go all out fighting only to find out it's irradiated to hell and back and everyone now has cancer instead of just the protag.
"Fuck whatever that thing is, run!" You shout and immediately take your own advice. You run forward, into the dark hallway beyond...And quickly realize that it seems you've left the world behind. In front of you, hallway.Behind you, hallway.Hallway that stretches on endlessly, continuing on and on for as far as you can see at least. Behind you still, the monster. It keeps screaming, louder and louder now. The sound filling your mind, all you can think about, all you even know. It feels like your eyes are bleeding, maybe your ears too. You aren't even sure if you have teeth anymore, your entire mouth might just be full of iron. But something seems to be bringing you back now, out of the darkness. You grab onto it, an anchor to reality, something, anything. And slowly you open your eyes."GET OFF OF MY TAILS!!!" Tomoe shouts, finally shoving you away. You blink, slowly, several times. You're not in the hallway anymore, instead in a tight room full of large pipes. The lights aren't flickering here, it's still dark."What the motherfuck was that thing?""I don't know, but it seemed to really get to you whatever it was. Ivan had to pick you up and carry you in here. Whatever it is... It's right outside this door." Bill gestures.Summoning up your courage, you slowly stand up and look at the porthole in the hatch. Raising your light, you come face to face with the beast. Empty black eye sockets stare back at you, over top rows of long serrated teeth and a tongue that licks up the glass as you watch.Unconsciously you reach back toward the fluffy tails, but Tomoe pulls them away."So where are we?" You gulp, not taking your eyes off the monster."Reactor room one, apparently."
>>19884294Heh, and the fluffy tails again prove their awesomeness in his mind.

>>19884294Huh.Best check the rad counter.
"Shiiitttt!!!" You whip it on out (the geiger counter, that is) and give it a look.Thankfully, the readings aren't anything substantial. Slightly higher than normal background radiation, but not dangerous."Thank fuck for that, I'd hate to get actual cancer trying to cure my ice cancer..." You sigh and put the device away again, "Anyways, anyone see any radiation gear lying around?"You start looking around as well, shining your light around and wishing now you'd brought along a spotlight because fuck this whole place. The four of you make a quick scan of the room, high and low, for anything either undead or otherwise terrifying. The search turns up nothing."Hey, I think I found something!" Tomoe calls out, and the other three of you make your way over toward her. Sure enough, she's standing facing a dozen or more suits on the ground."None of them look like they are in good enough shape..." You lament, noticing tears and holes and otherwise fatigue beyond anything you'd trust. Turning one of the suits over to check the mask, you almost jump back and scream like a little girl. Inside, a skull."They died in these..." Ivan notices, crouching down to look closer.
"From radiation?" Tomoe frowns."Couldn't be, it would still be lingering around. Whatever turned this crew probably killed them off as well, though these dudes don't seem to have come back to life." The werebear shakes his head.A sudden light to your right catches your attention, and you snap up the saiga as several more lights come into view."Drop it, drop it now!" "The 2nd amendment still guarantees my right to bear arms! (Ivan gives you a strange look) And to bare arms! Now who are you?!" You don't lower your weapon. There's a long pause, and you're almost certain that this standoff is going to end badly."...The 2nd, huh? Haven't heard that brought up in a long time, long time... Alright than, we'll both lower our guns, got it?" The gruff voice comes back.Slowly you lower your gun as the lights in front of you descend to the floor."We good?""I guess if you were actually terrorists you would have shot us as soon as you saw us, so possibly." A group of dark figures step forward into the dim light cast by the lights on the floor."Jackson." The gruff voice says simply, and one of the figures reaches up and switches on a light attached to his shoulder, illuminating the group in a dim light. It's quite a strange group of dudes in front of you, that much is certain. A dark tentacled Scylla who adjusts the M60 on its sling and runs a hand over his shaved head. Two Frosts, at least you think so, and lastly, a lamia, who speaks."We're with the CTOF (Counter-Terror Operator Force), the fuck are you all doing down here?" The lamia looks between the four of you as though his eyes can't quite believe what he's seeing."Looking for radiation gear so I can find an ancient sword in the deadlands and cure my ice-core, you?"The lamia opens his mouth, frowns, and shakes his head."Us? We got a report that someone found this place a few days ago. Been trying to find a way to sink it, keep fissile materials out of the hands of anyone who shouldn't have them. Do you really need to sink it that badly? Why not just place a guard over this wreck? You're not actually gonna be able to get radioactive material out of here without ships or planes."
"Oh, well yeah that kinda makes sense I guess." You frown and nod, "We're all ex-mil except for the girl."The lamia sighs and shakes his head, "I'm glad we didn't have to light you all up. But seriously, this is no place to be, whole rig is infested. Though I guess you'd already know that..."Both of you glance at the window, the monster still lurking behind it, it's nostrils fogging up the glass."Yep.""So you got the ice-core, huh? Fuck man, my brother had that." One of the other Frosts shifts his gun and looks away."Yeah shit sucks, trust me, I know. I might be on to some kind of cure though, which is the only reason I'm even here. You guys really need to sink this? My dad and I do salvage, we can get a lot of nice stuff off this wreck if we can clear it out. Most of our sales are to the military anyways."The lamia shrugs, "Not my call, I just take orders. We were going to rig hull charges and see if that would work before we saw you come in. You said you're looking for radiation gear? You won't find that in this room, but I know where some might be if you want to come with us."You glance back to your friends, and back at the lamia, before nodding. If it were anyone else, you might not be sure you could trust them. But CTOF are made up by some good dudes, even some you served with in the war."Yeah we'll follow you. Name's Erik.""Cool.
