7:00 P.M. Local Time. Location... Unknown.

You are Oberst Hans Landa, Combat Engineer and leader of the Third Reich's first expedition. Your first day in a new world has ended magnificently. You have charged through the Gate on Earth, braving otherworldly horror and setting a shining example to your men.

You have established base camp near the forest, laying out earthworks. By nightfall, you have established some basic buildings for housing and improved your fortifications. You now have a solid series of foxholes, as well as some machine gun nests and emplacements for your anti-tank weaponry.

It's not more than foxholes and a series of brush-covered pits with the FlaK guns in them, but if Gunther's reports about the reptilians are right, then they'll be wormfood in no time if they cross your line of fire. The way from the forests is totally unprotected, but that's where your patrols focus, setting up snare traps and what vantage points they can. It's still a major vulnerability compared to your other earthworks, though.

Gunther, the leader of your SS Commando squad, gives a horrifying, demonic grin at your mission for him. Investigate the abandoned Manor up north, by the razed village, and report back with anything of use he can find. After being pissed at you for being forced to dig foxholes, this is a rather terrifying (if somewhat pleasant) change of attitude. Taking one of the 251s, he and his squad depart north.

Stats and other info to follow.

You're ripping off 'After the Downfall'

>>
Troops:
>[ ] One Squad of SS Commandos.
>[ ] 40 Wehrmacht infantrymen. These are broken down into 5 squads of 8, including a medic and a machine gunner, as well as submachine gun soldiers and riflemen.
>[ ] 10 Opel Blitz light trucks, carrying ammunition, medical supplies, and fuel.
>[ ] 4 Krupp Protze heavy trucks, carrying the above, in addition to heavier construction materials and supplies.
>[ ] 4 Sd.Kfz. 251with machine guns, towing a pair of FlaK 38.
>[ ] 2 Sd.Kfz. 247
>[ ] 1 Panzer IV tank
>[ ] Two squads of a dozen Combat Engineers each, able to quickly erect fortifications and assist in military constructions.

Currently Built:
>[ ] Command Tent [Primitive]
>[ ] Mess Hall [Basic]
>[ ] Triage Tent [Basic]
>[ ] Barracks [Basic]
>[ ] Latrines

Current Build Orders Queued:
>[ ] Command Post [Basic]
>[ ] Machine Gun Nests [Primitive]
>[ ] Anti-tank emplacements [Primitive]
>ETA: 1 Day Remaining for current queue.

You have a Barracks, basic Triage building, and a crude mess hall built already. The men not on patrol or fishing are currently chowing down on the fresh fish, which Dr. Klein and Dr. Buren have cleared for consumption with a bit of dissection. It's good fish, but tastes a bit... funny. Not in a bad way, though.
>>
>>21740684

Set up machine gun emplacements facing the forest, as well as trip flares and wire. It's our weakest front, so we should make sure it's well covered by obstacles and have a double watch on it.
>>
>>21740684
Dr. Klein also proves particularly adept in astrology, as it seems that 'hobby' fields work best with the old man. He happily goes stargazing, noting that the 'North Star' on this world is of a unique color. It seems to be almost prismatic, an aura of colors radiating from it.

It may also be interesting to note that there are two moons on this world.

Two very bright moons-- the main one being white, as on Earth. The other is bright red, looking almost like a bloody teardrop as it trails several large chunks of red behind it. It looks almost as though something blasted the planetoid apart eons ago, settling down into its exotic shape.

Well, not -everything- on this world could be normal, at least.

Current Notable Personnel:
>Hans - Tank Guy [+1 Influence]
>Gunther - Scary commando with an MG34 prototype ('Gertrude')
>Alfred - Infantryman
>Fritz - Whiny Medic
>Gretta - Radio operator lady
>Gabriella - Sexy scientist
>Alphonse - Head Mechanic
>Father Vickerson - Chaplain
>Dr. Buren - Psychology/Sociology/Pathology/Pharmacology/General Medicine Doctor
>Dr. Klein - Chief of Surgery and expert surgeon. [+1 Influence]

I'm here from the first thread.
I'm awaiting the resolution of the first day, as well as night time reports.

And how was the fish and sauerkraut?

Oh wait, we still have a few hours left.

What do?
>>
>>21740718
I think they are waiting for op to post results from Gunther's scouting.
>>
I don't remember exactly. Can we communicate with the Nazis back on Earth, or was that only while the gate was open? This might be a great time to send a message back to High command, announce in official style the success of the foray and a summary of initial findings.
>>
>>21740737
Only when the gate is open.

>>21740738
>>21740740
Er, what?
>>
>>21740727
Hrm. Have we passed the word onto Gunther about the night mission? Namely that once night falls (or as soon as possible, no sense sending them in the dark if we don't have to) he is to take his squad, one 251 for transport and a 247 as support, go to the burned-out village see if there are any books/survivors, paying particular attention to the manor we spotted earlier.
>>
>>21740727
Dr. Klein, go grab a sniper's scope or binoculars or something, and see about identifying any planets.
>>
>>21740755

But I'm having fun.

This is the OP

Nothing like 6 million Jews died. They weren't murdered or killed. They died of natural causes while under the care of the German government while visiting Germany and helping the war effort by volunteering their labor skills. The SS was purely military organization. All charges of atrocities were fabricated by the allies after the War as they were jealous of the military prowess of the Waffen SS. The WVHA was akin to the FTC, the IKL ran correctional institutions and RSHA and Gestapo were law enforcement agencies fighting to build a new and united Europe and protect it from the red menace and the liberal influences of the western powers. And, even if a few civilians were shot by a hand full of rouge SS men, the leaders of the German Government (especially uncle Adi) and the entire population of the Reich were wholly unaware. Lastly, should a few military units have capped a couple of folks and dumped them into pits, these personnel were definitely not members of the Heer, Luftwaffe, Polizei or Kreigsmarine. In most cases, if there really were any such incidents, these acts would have been committed by members of local, non-German militias, in spontaneous and entirely uncontrollable outbursts of patriotic fervor against the jewish bankers. There was no policy of extermination whatsoever. Right? Happy now? Sounds great Siegfried.
>>
>>21740729
Fish and Sauerkraut was delicious.

You can add additional orders to your build queue, speak with your staff, or end your first day... and transition to SS COMMANDO MINI-QUEST.

Or just skip the mini-quest and go to day two. Whatever works for you, Oberst Landa.

>>21740711
You instruct the engineers working the other fronts to focus on the western one. The arcs of covering fire won't be as great, but it's better than nothing at all. The wires and trip flares should help, too, in the night.

And my grandfather died of Alzheimer's. I don't get ass-pained whenever somebody makes a senility joke.
The use of nazis here has more to do with their archetypal portrayal in fiction than the real world. Super science, mysticism, and imperialism combined with a WW2 era technological flavor make for a fun group to send into another world.

Also boggling my mind, is the hypocrisy of the revisionist line of reasoning. Given that the majority of you guys hate hebrews, brown people, and untermensch in general, why try to deny something which should give you so much joy? From a purely pragmatic perspective, the sheer waste of resources, human and material, makes my head hurt.

I am well versed on this subject and am already familiar with the "it never happened evidence".

Go drink some Warsteiners and watch Triumph of the Will a few more times. Sieg Heil ya'll.

Can we put in some trenches and emplacements to hinder attackers in case we attacked by lizardmen or something?

Already did that.
>>
Seriously, the antifa JIDF anger in this thread is depressing. I thought people in /tg/ had the modicum of maturity and imagination to roleplay stuff outside their comfort zones. But then you have these assholes who get angry on their kneejerk reactions and assume that everyone's a neonazi for participating. Shit, it's a cool idea for a quest and it's been done in a similar way before; i don't remember seeing anyone decrying Holodomor or the Katyn massacre when we were doing 'Spetsnaz in Faerun.

It's also kinda silly when this board loves 40k's Imperium of Man, which is inspired by, the most among other things, Nazi Germany, or when most players here have played CE murderhobos who've done things far more abhorrent than what an average Wehrmacht engineer could have ever done.
>>
>>21740862
I somehow missed that part and was only looking at the inventories.
Okay, if we have any more squads, we can probably send one out to find more of a variety of food, if we're going to stay here a while we could use something more sustainable than fish.
After that we can probably switch to SS squad, since I'm not sure if there's much else we can do before advancing the story

>>21740884
Just ignore it, I think it's only one guy anyway

And the thing was, the last thread had none of this sageing. It was fine and the people who didn't like it didn't post in the thread.

May be best to reschedule this for tomorrow. It appears that the actual /tg/ questers have gone to sleep. The grognards are out in force. I'll roll with things and see if new attention gets gained.

>>21740855
Actual trenches will take considerably more time, but provide a much greater defensive bonus. (Required time with current productivity: 5 Days). Your current foxholes and minor emplacements are effective, but full trenches will be much more so.

And the perspective shifts...

You're Gunther Hinden. You're 150 kilos of pure badass, built like a Panzer and have an MG39 to prove it. Currently, you're riding with your five-man squad of fellow commandos, with you as the sixth man. Situated in the back of the noisy-as-fuck Sd.Kfz. 251, you're currently on your way to what that smug little shit Oberst Landa has dispatched you to.

Granted, since you're on the wheel, you could take any detours you feel like. There's that decimated village that's only a few kilometers away from the Manor, or you could go right to it and do the fucking job that you were originally sent here to do: Secure a new world for the Reich, gather Intel, and exterminate any ugly fucker that didn't learn how to speak German quickly.

>[ ] Detour to the village?
>[ ] Asses squad?
>[ ] Go right to Manor.

I stand corrected, seems some genuine /tg/ers have shown up. Let's roll with the crazy-fucking-commando train!
>>
>>21740769
>You can add additional orders to your build queue, speak with your staff
Additional orders: chop down a tree, it's time to see how old this forest is.
Additional orders: Have a small team dig an unobtrusive foxhole to watch The Gate from, right in front of it.
Speak to Subordinates: Gretta (Radio operator lady), have her use her HAM radio style experience to scan and listen to the airwaves for weird things, since she's not got much else to listen to right now.
>>
>>21740909
Assess squad, I wanna see what dumb subordinates we've been saddled with

Probably detour to the village if we haven't been there already, but it's likely a trap
>>
>>21740909

Yes, this.
Then we go NEAR the village, drive around it once, then take a quick peek. After that, to the manor and the WINE CELLAR!

The recon squad was there, or at least the vehicle crews. The fires have died down, but apparently it was burnt to a crisp and everyone put to the sword. Men, women, and children. Real artwork.

>>21740924
The tree is easy enough: Dr. Klein, master of eccentric hobbies, can quickly recount the age of the forest.

Thousands of years old, apparently, and just at the outskirts. The rings are fat on the tree you cut down, and it's clear that the forests here are very old. Very old indeed, and full of rich timber. Cherry in particular-- you'd make a nice profit, were you a logger working for yourself.

As far as Gretta goes, she keeps an eye on the airwaves, but there's nothing outside of the occasional check-in from base command. Radio appears to work through the Gate regardless of it being opened or closed.

You quickly look over the five men under your command, swerving around the edge of the village. Place fucking reeks. Smells like a butcher shop left out in the sun all day-- carrion are feasting well into the night, and you get a good glimpse of all the heads mounted on pikes along the way. Someone was definitely sending a message, more than just burned-out houses would leave.

Still, you and your men are cool as ice. You peek again, and you take a full assessment. You're all in full body armor, each of you having a pair of fragmentation grenades and a single AT grenade, as well as medical supplies.
Current Loadout:
>Ralf. Trenchgun with a Mauser as a backup weapon. Carries the squad's radio
>Otto. Model 38, Mauser backup weapon. Carries a combat knife with an extended blade, as well as an extra pair of fragmentation grenades.
>Lothar. Trenchgun, Mauser backup weapon. Specializes in sensitive information retrieval.
>Manuel. Scoped Gewehr 41, Mauser backup. Intelligence specialist with an eye for details.
>>
>>21741072
>Dennis. Model 38, Mauser backup weapon. Specialist in close-quarters combat, as well as an expert in stealth. More so than the rest of you-- guy is a fucking ghost.

And you. Badass supreme. Six-man wolf pack.

The vehicle rolls along to the front of the Manor. It's an old building, two stories high and a wine cellar basement. You can see the entrance to the wine cellar from here. You also know that there's a back door, likely to a kitchen, as well as a front door and a servant's entrance. A few of the windows look broken, but you also notice that there's a stone chapel off to the west of the Manor, with the river running behind it. There's even a small pier running onto the river.

The Manor doesn't have any farmland around it, though. Seems like it imported the food from the village, or elsewhere. There's even an abandoned wagon with a few boxes on it near the double-wide front doors.
>>
>>21741072
I like Ralf, he seems innocent and dumb enough to send out as an advance scout. Send him around to pick through the remains.
>>
>>21741084
Check the boxes in the wagon
>>
>>21741084
Okay, let's do this shit, full operator status. We cut the pie, go through it room by room, people watch each other and their surroundings, after we've swept the place for hostiles we check the wine cellar.

If there are civvies we secure them, gently, and bring them back to base. We may dislike the ditch digger with a fancy degree but it'd be damn stupid of us to take out civvies just to piss him off, intel is needed.

Then we loot the place for any intel and bring some good wine back to share, because everyone loves booze, even six and a half foot tall murder machines, and sharing is caring.

We'll clear the chapel out after we've swept the main building.
>>
>>21741114
Slice the pie I mean. Not cut the pie.

And also keep a VERY close eye out for traps, we saw those weird little fuckers and their traps.

And check the wagon first, it's closest, but take it very careful, nothing rash.
>>
>>21741084
Hmmm. I say we keep the squad together. Send Dennis forward to see if he can hear anything. If noot, move in carefully through the front door. I hope they brought flashlights.
>>21741072
>Specializes in sensitive information retrieval.
Is that a euphemism for torture?
>>
>>21741128
No, it's a euphemism for baking pastries so tasty that the prisoner tells us everything just to get another muffin.

Yeah, it's almost certainly torture/interrogation.

Effective interrogation often doesn't involve lopping off fingers. It gets you answers, but when you're doing that they'll say whatever they think will get you to stop hurting them, it being true or not. It's exceptionally difficult to sift through all the white noise and false information with torture. Interrogation is mainly a long process with a lot of talking and convincing them that you're a trusted friend.
>>
Strip the tankcrews/ Sd.Kfz down to the bare minimum. Place them round the camp and let the drivers assist in bulding the camp. We need manpower more then mobile firepower.
Gunners and loaders however should keep scanning the perimeter for threats.

>[ ] Asses squad?

Remind the squad that even if the locals are only armed with spears, bows and harsh language they can still kill or injure.
>>

>Strip the tankcrews/ Sd.Kfz down to the bare minimum. Place them round the camp and let the drivers assist in bulding the camp. We need manpower more then mobile firepower.
Sounds reasonable, but I feel that oculd bite us in the ass if something nasty comes around. this is fantasyland, prepare for everything! We can scare off some things and make them believe we're gods with a well-placed tank shell

Sending Dennis and Ralf out of the comfort of the idling vehicle, Dennis sweeps the windows of the place as Ralf moves ahead to check the wagon's contents. His trenchgun sweeps wagon, your vehicle's headlamps illuminating the entire front of the building. Your flashlights are somewhat bulky, considering the technology of the time. Having them strapped to your body armor, it's not exactly subtle, but it's better than fiddling with them with one hand on your gun and the other on your flashlight.

Dennis: "Front side-- CLEAR!"
Ralf: "I found something!"

He abruptly points out a large wooden crate on the wagon, marked with some freaky-ass symbol. Like the ones on that Gate everyone was freaking out about.

Not that you understood that anyways-- you didn't see anything like what the others endured. It was a straightforward step from one side to the next.

Still, what now?

The two boxes loaded up, you grab your massive heavy weapon in both hands as you step off, the entire vehicle rocking slightly as you make your way to the servant's entrance, side door. It's a small tunnel built into the side of the manor, out of the way and meant for discrete entrance and exit of the serving staff.

And now, it's the main way in for a six-man team of hardcore stormtroopers.

The door has already been forced open, judging by the fact that the fucking doorknob is on the ground, so you just walk right in anyways, machine gun held before you like the gigantic piece of steel overcompensation it is.

You end up inside of the kitchen, and boy, is it a fucking bloodbath. There's about a half-dozen guys in what look like chainmail armor. They've got halberds in their hands, and most of them have a distinct lack of blood and general lifesigns. Someone carved these guys up, as evidenced by several limbs that are either decapitated or otherwise entirely missing.

Someone fucked these guys up -bad-.

Still, the kitchen looks a bit old-timey, with a fireplace, wood-burning stove, and all that other good stuff. There's a wooden door at the other end of the room, busted like the others but partially closed.

Shot by a handful of red SS men? What? I didn't learn anything about this.....

You're forgetting that Hitler orchastrated competitions and rivalry between his staff. He'd always order 2 people to do the exact same job in order for them to work harder and +1up the other. Hitler didn't order the mass extermination of Jews, he wanted them gone, but didn't order it. High Command officers wanting to please him did it, he just didn't stop it. Before the middle of the ar, Jews were in Gulags. Eventually they took too much of the minimal supplies and so they had to be dealt with. Therefore, exterminated... The rooms they were murdered in still exist.

To everybody else, let him run his damn quest in peace. He has every right to do this, he doesn't need people being dicks about it.

[X] Investigate bodies?

While we're investigating make sure the rest of the squad is keeping guns trained on the entrances to the room. We're not going to get a full medical diagnosis, other than they're very dead, but we have some experience in how the human body looks after different types of fatal trauma are applied. See if the chainmail got chopped through, if it was done by something heavy and brutal or just extremely sharp, try to recreate as much of it as possible.

Avoid moving the bodies, the docs might want to take a look. Later we might want to take some back for when we go back, but that's not an issue for right now.

>>
>>21741375
Oh and by recreate I mean mentally more than anything else. By looking at the carnage we might be able to get an idea of where they would be standing, where the attack came from, and so on. We can get an idea of how cautious we should be of whoever did this.
>>
>>21741379
I never said that, and I'm not going to go into it. Yes it's a sensitive subject, does that mean we should not talk about it? Push it under the carpet? Forget it ever happened? Let it repeat itself?

Don't bother replying, I don't want to go into this, quest threads and quest threads, at least this guy is running an interesting one, albeit based slightly on a book. As long as the Germans don't run into a Godess in Human form, who is a lunatic and wants to cause the complete genocide of a race of creatures which cause said Nazi to question his belief in the Reich... You decide at least a cursory glance is in order. As your men fan out to cover the door, you see that the door leading to the main lobby is, in fact, fucked. Someone busted the lock on that too, but seemed to have closed it behind them for whatever reason.

The bodies themselves are in pretty rough shape. These guys clearly knew how to fight, and the tabards they're wearing under their armor, besides being nice red pieces of cloth ripped to shreds, look pretty fancy. They've got a sigil of what looks like a yellow castle of some kind, surrounded by a pair of yellow angelic wings.

Weird, but you know it's a family crest of some kind. Even back in Germany, some people were crazy for that kind of stuff.

The actual fight seems to have been pretty brutal. These guys died fighting, as indicated by the blood on their weapons, but there's no sign of the other guys that died. The other guys were brutal, too: They took the ears off each corpse as trophies, as well as the nose. They're also damn strong-- in some cases, these guys lost an entire arm, clean through the chainmail.

You relay this to your men, who just keep silent, as good commandos should, but look suitably more alert.

That's when you hear the sound of voices coming from the main lobby of the building. Multiple voices, and they're not speaking German. You look to Lothar, who just shrugs and levels his trenchgun at the door, seemingly waiting for your orders.

It's an alternate history book called "After the Downfall" basically a German officer tries to escape Germany while Russians rape and pillage, avoids a sniper bullet, enters another world, meets some God woman who is blonde hair blue eyes, she asks for help wiping out some race she hates, she basically becomes more and more insane, the Germany guy begins to question what he fought for in Germany and what he is doing now.

Scout around some, keep a few men on this side at the door, sweep around and get a clearer view of the situation. Do they sound scared, violent, ready for violence, peaceful? Are they talking like a unit of soldiers or like a pile of civvies.

They may be civvies or otherwise non-hostile and are valuable sources of intel. If we go in killing, even if we try to capture at least one alive we might kill the one with valuable intel. The goal is recon, if possible no casualties on them if they're not hostiles, and capture for return to base.

We may be a bloody murderer, but we put the mission above our desire to kill, we're a professional damn it.

No words are exchanged, just looks and hand gestures. Three fingers. Hand clenched, point at door. Two fingers, swirl around.

Otto and Dennis follow behind you, their submachine guns held close as the three of you round around to the back door. Classic breaching maneuver. Flank the enemy from two sides at once.

As you exit the servant's entrance, you feel a sudden burning in your hands, your grip on Gertrude shaking slightly as you continue on. It hurts. It hurts like a motherFUCK, but you troop on regardless. You're not sure why, or how, but your brain just doesn't seem to give a fuck about the pain.

In fact, you feel pretty damn invincible, regardless of the fact that your veins seem to be bulging in your arms in some pretty fucking freaky ways.

The men behind you don't seem to notice, their eyes peeled for enemy reinforcements rather than weirdness with their leader.

You twist your head, and you feel several bones pop into place with a sudden rush of vigor and strength. Fuck! You haven't felt this good since... ever!
>>
>>21741714

As you round the back door, you're not exactly sure why, but you know that nobody's in the rear area. It's the main lobby that's got people in it. As such, you don't even bother to peek through the door crack, just opening the unbroken door (How you knew it was unlocked is anyone's guess, but who cares?) in the back. Soon enough, you, Dennis, and Otto are in the rear of the Manor.

You breathe, and somehow, you know that there's six people in that room. Well, one actual 'person', and five of those lizard-things. You can hear them talking. You don't know the words, but you've heard the same line of conversation before. Important person begging for their life.

Indifferent captors having fun before they execute them.

You can practically see it in your mind, just how it'd go down. Executing all of the creatures inside of there. One wide sweep with Gertrude, drum magazine jerking wildly in the receiver, five dead targets. Scythed clean in half. One VIP secured.

You look at your surroundings, at the little wardrobe room squared away in the back room, with the mirror hanging on the wall and the little chiffarobe and the closets full of fancy clothes.

You look at the mirror, and you see something unfamiliar in your eyes, there for a moment... And gone.

The world returns to normal, and you feel a distinct lack of breath, slowly returning to your massive frame, but you know what the situation ahead is.

The next choice of what to do... is yours.

Next time, with Nazis in Fantasyland.

Also, I am late but has anyone entertained the idea of clearing the Mansion and making that our base of operations?
Think about it, it is already a sturdy, stone structure. It would serve greatly as HQ. We could set up all the defenses around it.

It's only a matter of time before our base is going to be found out so the advantage of it being unknown will be pretty short.
>>

>>
>>21741840

we could use it as a forward Command Post.
use some concrete to seal off the servant enterance, re-purpose the wine cellar to act as a bunker...
we could use it as a meeting point for the locals, as in don't let them into our base, talk to them in the mansion.
>>
>>21745284
>>21741840
I like this idea. We could live stylish.
>>
>>21745639
It seems a bit impractical. I say we interrogate the VIP after we rescue him, and then go from there
>>
>>21747246
What? Why interrogate first? We bring him back to have a proper serious talk with him. And then when we are finished being nice we tortu- ehm, retrieve sensitive information from him.
>>
>>21747246

you raise a good point. however, i think that interrogation might not be the most suitable option. i think that we should set up a CP in the mansion, as to not expose our main base to the natives. we can have them under guard in one of the mansions bed chambers. this helps by allowing them a 'safe zone' with which to adjust to our sudden apperition. from there we can begin to establish communication with the VIP, maybe even teaching them German, as our language is clearly superior to theirs.
(i assume we are a german supremist)
>>
>>21745639

It's a bad idea, we don't want to take over existing structures until we know the local area and it's peoples, because for all we know there might be locals who live there who aren't there right now.

Not to mention right now we're in recce mode, which means that our base of operations should be first and foremost HIDDEN from any local civilians and/or military personnel. Maybe once we have the personnel available to support motorized patrols and a proper perimeter, then we can make it into a FOB, but for now it's a bad idea.
>>
>>21747589
Of course we are a supremacist!
However, what with our base being in the middle of a huge clearing and right next to a large (lightly) trafficked river, it seems that our base will not be secret for long. If we are to stay here for several years then the mansion might be a cool dormitory for the CO and his top men, but until that point tents and then bunkers are the way to go.
>>
>>21747744

now, before Obersturmbannfuhrer returns, we should plan just how we are going to secure this VIP. we know that there are five tangos and the VIP. i suggest a simultanious strike from as many fronts as possiable.

I am present in mobile form! I can answer questions, though I'm uncertain about being able to quickly post.

I'll give it a shot anyways!

As far as the manor is concerned, it's a solid position defensively, as far as Gunther can tell. Its stone outer walls are a solid buffer for troops to take cover behind. Its windows are both a vulnerability and an advantage, providing firing arcs at the expense of potential targets for heavy munitions.

Space seems pretty good, though, for either a command post or a fortified barracks. Adding to it might be a pain in the ass, but it should be large enough to house a couple squads (or the command elements) in comfort.

As it is, though, you need a plan of action. You have a solid crossfire with your guys covering the south and western angles.

You should choose soon, though. The things on the other side of the room sound like they're nearing the end of the 'getting entertained by their captive' phase. The next bit isn't nearly so pleasant, as you know.

You can't help but grin as you signal your two men with you, both of them stacking up with you on the door.

Gertrude in hand, you plant a steel-toed boot on the doorway, kicking it clean off its hinges.

Oops. You hadn't intended to be quite THAT forceful, but it felt good anyways, so fuck it!

You see your targets. Four of those lizard things. They're small and hunched over, but they've got spears with them and a smattering of daggers either in hand or on their belts. Iron ones, but they'll still fuck someone up.

They've also got some jerkwad guy in chainmail captive. His tabard is bright green, with the same logo. He's got a number of bruises and cuts on his face, with a big dent on his helmet. Half a dozen dead men surround him, as well as a torn-down tapestry.

And then you see just what has been ripping off arms. It's clearly not human, but you're braced for that kind of shit.

What you aren't braced for is the fact that this thing is bigger than you, its head scraping against the ceiling.

Its probably three hundred kilos, with big fuckoff-sized ivory tusks jutting from its lips. Its green body is bare but for a loincloth, though it has stony-looking skin. It also has a fucking battle-ax the size of Gertrude casually held in one hand.

Your machine-gun gives a happy roar in your hands, kicking against your steel grip as you aim your fire against the big bastard. You steadily advance as the gun sprays bullet casings down at your feet, the light of tracer rounds outlining your arc of fire.

You have to give credit to this thing, though. Most men wouldn't get a single step. This thing? It charges three steps forward, even as you cut it in half diagonally.

Flesh rips apart as red blood sprays the plaster wall behind it and splashes upon the underlings now running in all directions.

Dennis and Otto sweep in behind you, Lothar charging forward from his end with the trenchgun leveled. Dennis and Otto open fire, picking off their two lizard-things with an explosion of gore.

Lothar manages to pick off one with a blast of his shotgun, but the remaining lizard-thing chucks its spear as he racks the slide. The spear skewers him in the right leg, eliciting an angry grunt.

Pain can come later, though, at least for him. Chucking his shotgun at the lizard-thing, he promptly draws his Mauser and puts two shots into it. One bullet per kneecap.

And with a haze of smoke, the room is cleared, with a wide-eyed former captive and a shrieking lizard-thing.

Now, brb for dinner!

Lothar grunts as he stares at the thin little spear, grabbing it in both hands. He snaps the weapon's shaft in twain, still leaking a bit of blood, before hobbling over to his gun. He's a big boy, so he can handle getting himself back to the APC.

The soldier you rescued stares at you, your weapons, the dead creatures (and one screaming one), and everything else in abject shock. He tries to say something in his weird language, but just goes quiet.

You know that there's a second floor to this place, and that it may not be clear. Then again, as Otto gags the lizard-thing's screeching snout with a handkerchief and binds its claws together with some rope from his pack, you realize you've got a decent haul so far.

The soldier you rescue points to the door to the east, then up. Seems that's the stairwell. Smart guy, if bewilderd-looking.

You're about to put Dennis on overwatch for Lothar and the captured lizard when the former shakes his head. The injured warrior snags his fallen trenchgun over by the strap, pumping a fresh round into the chamber.

"Go." He says, one word. He levels the weapon at the hogtied monster. He's got it under control. You briefly consider if the spear might be poisoned, but Otto and the others are already through the door, a 3-man fireteam quickly ascending the stairs. Whether or not you post a guard is still up to you, but Lothar may take it as an undermining of your confidence in him. He could be poisoned, though.

You nod to Lothar as he is left to guard the prisoner alone. An act of trust, which his eyes express gratefulness for. You're a wolf pack, and you, as alpha, have given Lothar a measure of confidence.

Otto, taking point, lets out an abrupt shout as there's a heavy TWOK noise.

You round the corner, Gertrude raised, to see that Otto has an arrow jutting out of his torso armor. If he were a Wehrmacht infantryman, you know you'd have your first casualty of the operation.

Instead, Otto is shouting his anger and blasting at the second floor railing. Timber splinters, and you see a dead lizard-thing clutching a bow in its hand. It lands on it's back on the railing, giving a crunching noise,

Well, at least you know that these bastards are frail. Its entire torso is shredded from the pellets of the gun, and it vaguely reminds you of the meat from your father's butcher shop. May that bastard burn in hell.

Otto is bleeding a bit, but it doesn't seem critical. The squad arrives to find the second floor consists of a single, long corridor.

A long corridor with two of those big shits, and about a dozen of the lizard ones.

he certainly does tend to disappear for vast sums of time... judging by the information provided earlier, i would assume that he has been eating out, making occasional posts on a mobile device, and now he is probably returing to his lair so he can fully commit time to running the quest.
either way, is allows only people who are truely interested in this quest to stay with it.
though this is just my opinion.

You fling yourself to the ground as Dennis and Otto take a knee, opening fire with the cool precision of expert marksmen. The massive creatures, taking up a position at the rear of the oncoming horde, lumber forward with only a few shallow wounds as the lizard-things up front take the brunt of your fire.

Gertrude roars in your hands, and you feel your blood run like fire as you scythe down three of them singlehandedly. Their bodies don't even stop running as you simply lop off the top halves with your machine gun.

Dennis and Otto open fire with their 38s, and you feel a measure of satisfaction as two of the monsters go down with pinpoint holes in their heads. Ralf's trenchgun blasts as the closest of the lizard-things, causing them to be trampled underfoot as they get wounded. Manuel, your expert marksman, takes but a single breath before leveling his scoped Gewehr 41. There's a single KWOOOOOM of firing, and you watch one of the two larger monsters go down, his entire head bursting like an overripe grape.

You are quite right. My apologies-- I've moved back to college. Saturday I was able to fully dedicate, but Sunday has mostly been me showing up, making a few posts from my phone between times of hanging out with my dad, packing for college, etc, etc, excuses, excuses.

I'm here now for a couple hours, though. Enough to wrap up Part 2, at least.
>>
>>21753930

The remaining one, as well as his compatriots, begin to close the gap. Ralf pumps a fresh slug in when Otto flings one of his two frag grenades, the ensuing explosion clearing out the remaining lizard-things. In the order of less than half a minute, and at the expense of a full drum magazine, you've cleared out all but two of the lizard-things, and the remaining heavy monster.

Which is right when your VIP, armed with his sword, leaps over your crouching form, parrying the greataxe with a flourish of his sword before ducking around. Unfortunately, this leaves him flanked by the two lizard-things, and still locking blades with the large bastard.

What do you do?
>[ ] Reload your weapon and trust you men to assist the charging swordsman
>[ ] Use your Mauser to take out the two lizard-things

You let Gertrude hang from your waist as you draw your Mauser, your expert aim letting you send four rounds downrange in the blink of an eye. Blood explodes from the chests of each lizard-thing as you deliver a double-tap for each one.

The big one shoves the swordsman back, his flank secure. He gives a shout as it swings its axe around, knocking the sword from his hands as he attempts to parry it a second time.

Dennis seems to get the same idea as you as he fires off the last of his magazine, putting several holes into the back of the creature, which now roars out. Drawing his Mauser and knife into each hand, Dennis is like a furious ghost of vengeance, charging right at the monster. You know that Dennis and Lothar are close, so it's pretty clear that Dennis wants payback for his friend.

Which he gets, as he leaps right onto the back of the monster, burying the steel of his knife into its neck before pressing his gun against its temple. There's a single, muffled pop from the point-blank shot, the monster falling face down with nary a grunt.

And just like that, the war-torn hallway is cleared, though you're now left with four doors and a shitload of dead bodies.

(Red = You)
(Green = VIP)
(Pink with black perimeter = Dead Monsters.)

You reload Gertrude with a heavy click. You brought two spare magazines with you, plus the one you just emptied. That leaves you with one full drum magazine. Granted, you just tore through about four times your numbers in short order, so ammunition is kinda expected to be burned through like that. You've got spares back in the half-track, though.

Manuel takes the VIP along, while he's a bit more gentle than Lothar might be, it's made clear to the man with a few universally understood gestures (mostly nudging the man along with a hand on one shoulder) that he should be coming with you. The man dithers on, looking mildly concerned but not acting too panicked for now. He seems to think of you as allies, at least of a sort, thanks to that quick battle and timely rescue. He does make a point of retrieving his sword, however, which actually looks rather nice. Barely even scuffed by the heavy blow, too. What kind of steel do these people use for their weapons?

You use your knife to stick the heavily wounded lizard-things, killing them quickly and efficiently while Ralf, Otto, and Dennis each take one door per two. The first two rooms are cleared easily, as is the third. When you and Dennis stack up next to the northeast room, however, you find that the door is locked.

You also hear voices on the other side of the door. Panicked ones. More survivors?

It's up to you what you do, though. The door is barricaded, and they likely heard the sounds of fighting... but you don't speak the same language.

You catch Manuel as he starts heading down the stairs.

"Hey! Bring the VIP back upstairs. We've got a locked room full of people, and he's the only one that can speak the lingo." You inform him.

~A few minutes later~
The VIP stands in front of the door, having understood the gist of what you want after a bit of interpretive sign language and some charades. Mostly, just you pointing at the dead monsters, then him, then giving a thumbs up. You don't smile much, so you don't try smiling. You'd probably give the guy a heart attack, or make him shit himself. Or both.

The ensuing exchange of shouting through the door is quick and furious, and you can hear a woman on the other side. A man inside the room makes some weird 'BANG BANG' noises, and you realize he's talking about the gunshots.

It must sound freaky for these people to hear gunfire.

Eventually, the sound of furniture being moved is heard, and a young red haired woman opens the door, her eyes wide and terrified. She sees you, armed as you are, and lets out a prompt shriek. The VIP says something, though, and she seems to look at you with an awe bordering on worship.

This works.

The doorway opens back up, and you see the inside of what looks like an armory of some kind. There's halberds, swords, and what looks like a big iron cabinet that has a built-in lock of some kind. And some chests that look like something out of a black-and-white film about pirates.

There's also two more people in the room besides the woman. All three are dressed in pretty ratty cotton clothes. You imagine that they're the slaves or whatever that work here and work as staff.
>>
>>21754903
All in all, you've got not only your own group of six, but a captive, a VIP, and three more. Plus whatever you may want to bring alongside of that, in a vehicle that-- with you as driver-- seats 11 maximum. You've got room for 1, which is just enough to fit the crate of glassware and the weird magic box.

If you want to grab the books from the library or anything else, you'll need to either kick some of these people off, or leave one of the boxes behind.

Lothar, down below, is alive and well, though he's apparently given the lizard-thing he shot in the kneecaps a few good bruises. Broke its nose, even, it looks like. It's currently crying and weeping into its gag, tears streaming down its reptilian face.

>>21754808
>>21754739
Ralf manages to raise Gretta on the radio.

"More civilians? We can send one of the Blitzes to pick up the ones down there. Is the building safe, or should we have a squad join you?" She asks.
>>
>>21754936
First, ask the VIP about the wine cellar, he might know if it's safe or not. Even if he says it's safe we should still clear it cautiously.

"The main building is clear and secure, we have yet to clear the wine cellar. We should be able to handle it.

Bring a medic, we have some injuries."
>>
>>21754936

Send a 251 with a Wermacht squad to escort the blitz, that way we have extra security.
>>
>>21754936
Might as well have a squad of Wehrmacht come along to help with the cleanup and loading the Blitz. While we're waiting for them we can clear the basement.
>>

>>
>>21754936

>>
>>21754936
>glass
Shit, just have the civvies carry a couple of books. Maybe play charades so they pick out the best.

Also, do we have any way of caching stuff here? See if there is a good hidey-hole nearby to stuff any extra important loot. Maybe the VIP will know.
>>
>>21754963
I shall back this.

What we need to do is call in 2 more vehicle, load a whole lot of corpes onto one and some examples of the local goods (like the stuf fin the armories) so that we can show the Oberst examples of local craftsmanship and examples of the lesser races that we will spend much time exterminating or binding to the yoke of the riech.

Oh and talk to our VIP, we need to clear the cellar, these lizards are clearly sub human so they will obviously have a lust for alcohol or other addictive substances.
>>
>>21754936
Im pretty sure command is gonna want to move into that manor... Take the people, leave the books.
>>
we should just take the civies back in our vehicle. have the blitz come to take back the rest of the stuff and some corpses.
>>

>>21754980
>>21754991
>>21755002
"Yeah, send a squad, too. Make sure the medic has some stuff for a couple minor injuries-- one of my guys got stabbed."
"Stabbed?" Gretta asks, clearly alarmed.
"He'll pull through, ma'am. Takes more than a couple spears and arrows to keep a guy like me down. We've got civilians, though. They don't talk any language I know of, but they seem peaceful. There's some monsters, though, that weren't. Had to kill them."
"Understood. I'll notify the Oberst."

The VIP, meanwhile, watches this exchange in awe, up until you address him. His eyebrows furrow as he tries to understand what you're saying, before his eyes light up. He points at his mouth, then his ears, before running over to the window and pointing outside. You can see the wagon down below, the two crates undisturbed. He points emphatically towards the wagon, then to his mouth and ears, mouthing a few words. He looks rather animated.

Still, if nothing else, at least you'll have some backup to secure here, as well as a chance at getting the injuries of Lothar and Otto tended to. Mostly the former, since the arrow barely punctured Otto's armor, lightly scratching him underneath.
>>
>>21755046
Why? We already have a base, it makes no sense to move and occupy a place which is already on the map. Better to stay out of the way in our current base. And don't forget, the mission was to retrieve information, so we have to bring the books back.
>>
>>21755123

i still believe that we should use this building to conduct talks with the natives in. after all, it will be familiar architecture to them AND they won't be able to cause havoc in OUR base.
>>
>>21755121
Maybe we can tow the wagon. Shouldn't be hard.
>>
>>21755121
Ok then, regroup and prepare to clear the basement. No clue what the VIP is trying to tell us, but we'll leave it for the whitecoats to figure out.

CAPTCHA: Jacques ddruirst
Really? That's his name?
>>
>>21755003
>>21755043
You place a request for an extra vehicle or two to join, so you can really empty the place out if command finds the need.

"Understood. I'll have a second Blitz sent your way. The men should be able to defend two vehicles, at least."

>>21755004
There's plenty of places to store stuff in here. This was, after all, a manor. It still is, in fact! Besides the armory and the rooms on the ground floor, you could probably store a lot more in the cellar below. Maybe not a full regiment of men, but at least enough to make a solid outpost or supply depot.
>>
>>21755121
Strange, I have no idea what he's trying to say. But it's probably not a huge deal.

Use pantomime to ask him about the wine cellar, ask if any of the lizardy folks are down there.
>>
>>21755156
Good idea. We'll keep that in mind if we find anything else in the basement.
>>
>>21755123
>>21755046
I have to back hoffman on this, we already have a servicable base. We should hold on and wait until we're aware of the local political situation and whether or not we're in a kingdo, on the edge of a frontier, or two days away from the local equivilent of Berlin.

Secrecy is safety my friends.
>>

>>
>>21755156
Now that is thinking with National Socialism. I think we should pursue this course of action. I want lots of lizard corpses. They will make EXCELLENT boots.

>>21755154

>>
>>21755186

>>

It's the middle of the night, lads. No time to be moving our very limited troops around. We need to stay concentrated. Maybe we can make the manor a forward outpost when the next shipment of men arrives.
>>
>>21755248

>>
>>21755208
Yes but OP stated that we have supplies to build our own walls and structures that are a tad more solid. Furthermore we're right next to a forest and a river so we have a source of wood, water, and fish.

We could quite easily build a pallisade that could be broken down later for supplies.
>>
>>21755208
You do have a bit more than that. You've got the current build queue:

Currently Built:
>[ ] Command Tent [Primitive]
>[ ] Mess Hall [Basic]

>[ ] Latrines

Current Build Orders Queued:
>[ ] Command Post [Basic]

>ETA: 1 Day Remaining for current queue.

Moving, however, is entirely doable if that is what the consensus desires.

For now, however...

>>21755156
The wagon doesn't appear to have a purpose-built hitch to it, but you suspect you can easily fashion something rudimentary for the short term hauling.

>>21755181
>>21755158
You make the hand gesture for your men to rally up on you, and the VIP continues speaking, making a few frustrated hand gestures. As you point below, punching your fist into your hand to pantomime violence, he shakes his head. He then points to the door, pantomiming turning a key. He then reaches under his chainmail armor, producing an iron key. It's a rather unique-looking key, though, in the shape of an "H".

>Manor Key procured.

Cellar door was locked, apparently. Smart move on the local's parts. These things don't seem smart enough to have snuck in.

Well It was more a plan for the future than anything else Herr Hoffman. But you are right of course, we can't move our men around in the dead of night without a clear and present need. Lets just evanc the Locals to our base and introduce them to Fraulien Buren.

Oh, and Herr Walter please consider that we are here to build an empire. That requires some amount of cooperation with the locals. I fulladmit my measures may be a tad premature but between green Skinned men, lizard men (I would like to skin one when Fraulien Buren and Herr Klien are done with them for a new pair of boots.) and what appear to be fairly average human beings I know what I would choose to make friends with.
>>
>>21755303

The VIP follows you to the basement as you unlock the door. It seems fairly straightforward as far as architecture goes, but the place is freezing cold. There's a number of support columns scattered throughout the building's cellar in equidistant rows, each one of the stone pillars surrounded with wooden wine racks that are stacked atop kegs of various ales and lagers. There's an ice room and what looks like a mausoleum, the former seeming very mundane with a number of large blocks of ice stored in the cooled earthen area, whereas the latter appears to be a place where the Manor's former masters have been interred.

A large statue, holding a holy symbol unlike any other, is present there. The statue makes you feel a bit uncomfortable, although it's clearly poorly tended to and worn with age. It looks almost like a Christian cross, but altered with a number of words and geometric symbols inscribed upon it, as well as what look like speartips at each end of the cross.

It doesn't bother you too much, but it's still something of an eyesore, and you can feel a slight breeze on your skin as you pace around the room and the statue itself. At least you have an abundance of booze here.

By the time you and the rest of the men are done sweeping the cellar, you can hear the roar of the two Blitzes and the Wehrmacht infantry sent as backup. The civilians upstairs have elected to stay in the office, warming up by the fire in the late night.
>>
>>21755490

>>
>>21755536
um, and here I've been pronouning it "Jury" all this time. Well I'll be changing that!

So yes, lets leave that cross the hell alone. We have enough problems without pissing off local ghots or gods. We should take books, some weapons, some booze, armore, and we'll load up the wagons with as many enemy corpses as possible so that Frauline Buren and Herr Klien can properly assess the lesser races that we will have to subdue or exterminate.
>>
>>21755509

If our new friends complain let us give them good German items in trade. I'm sure they'd appreciate a trench knife or some chocolate.

Frauleins love chocolate.

Rigging up the wagon with some clever whittling, a bit of fiddling with the wagon's yoke, and some good-old fashioned elbow grease, you manage to hook up the wagon to one of the Blitzes. Stowing the weird crate, glassware, and the still-living people (and monster) from the wake of your violent recon mission into your 251, you completely clear out the library and stow it into the back of the extra Blitz.

Lothar and Otto receive prompt medical aid from the medic, though in the case of Lothar's skewered leg that'll require a bit of reconstructive surgery. The medic informs you that the spear seems to have gone through the meat rather than anything major, so at least that's one blessing.

You take the contents of the armory as well. Some, at least, since the locked iron cabinet is too hard to move, having been seemingly built into the floor with lots of heavy nails for reinforcement.
>>
>>21755687
Best of all? The booze. You load several dozen bottles of wine and almost as many kegs onto the back of the Blitzes, to the point where you even chuck a few on the wagon and lash them down with rope and chain. You're overladen and working hard in the wee hours, the staff just watching on in surprise, but obediently standing aside as even more of your number arrive. They can't ask any questions, though, so at least there's that.

Though the Manor has more present within it, it seems like you've taken almost everything of import that a 'recon mission' could really stand to uncover.

The civilians and VIP seem a bit uncomfortable at their home being so ransacked, but seem happy to be alive and saved, if their body language is any indicator.

>Depart [End Part II]?
>Other?

>>21755603
This is true. However, while the Chaplain and his like are pro-temperance, Gunther and the hard-fighting men know the value of a good drink to calm one's nerves. If nothing else, you can at least open your own secret speakeasy on base with the booze you confiscate, especially since those Combat Engineers love a good drink after a long day.
>>
>>21755659
God damn right they do.

so once we have untermenschen corpses and locals to debrief we can focus fortifying Teuton Base.
>>
>>21755699
Have we gotten any books from the library? If we have go home, if we haven't then grab any that look important, old, and well cared for and bring them back.
>>
>>21755699

i believe that that is all for our little commando mini-quest...
it was a nice contrast to base commanding.
>>
>>21755699
Last I checked German sweat qualified as weak beer. I'm sure our men will drink liket rue ubermenschen. which is to responsably.

anyway yeah [x]end gunther quest.
>>
>>21755711
The library's contents have taken priority according to apparent consensus, so you had the entire library's contents piled up into the back of one of the Blitzes, at the expense of bringing along more booze.
>>
>>21755764
Excellent, when we get to base we must thank our new friends for their hospitality by giving the round the clock guard, 3 meals a day a nice, comfy tent.

End Part 2.

Settling in, snuggling Gertrude between your legs as you affectionately pat the useful weapon, you pull out a cigarette and quietly light it up, the headlamps of the three-vehicle convoy illuminating the grassy plains as you follow the same path you led getting to the Manor. The village, having since ceased to have even embers, is now home to naught more than the dead, just as the Manor was. The bodies of the freshly slain are piled up haphazardly, with the Wehrmacht squad that came to assist you looking a tinge uncomfortable at being so close to the dead bodies of unnatural creatures.

Not that you really care, truth be told. You feel strong. Stronger than ever. You doubt you'll be able to get much sleep tonight, because this was perhaps the most invigorating fight of your life. This was what you were born and trained for.

You know you'll be having more battles like this, and the prospect only excites you. Still, you keep a somewhat wary eye as you make your way back to camp, looking out for potential tails or ambushes. None are found, however, and the convoy eventually makes its way back to the resting campsite. Machine guns watch your approach, as do a smattering of men not occupied with either continuing fortification or otherwise relaxing.

Day one is over.

What will tomorrow bring?
>>
>>21755904
>Part II complete.
>Part III will be either tomorrow or Tuesday.

So, any thoughts, mein soldats? Suggestions? Ideas?
>>
>>21755918
Not much that can be said, aside from that I certainly enjoyed this and look forward to part III.
>>
>>21755918
Well I'm certainly enjoying this quest.

I would say keep the Miniquest aspect but throw it in every other thread at most. Oh, and you play ived Enclave Civ Quest OP? This nds me of that.
>>
>>21755918
An excellent read, sir. I look forward to tomorrow's adventure!
>>
>>21755918

as i already mentioned, the mini-quests are a nice way to break up the commanding aspects of it, however, i suggest you use them sparingly, otherwise they well loose their appeal. though this is just my observations.
the only thing i can really say is that i am quite looking forward to the continuation of this quest.

might i ask what time you plan to run these? i ask due to time-zone related fun.
midnight to mornings aren't allways as fun as they seem.
>>
>>21755960
I don't intend the mini-quests to be a frequent thing, but some people enjoy having a bit of "First Person" action.

I'll read Enclave Quest on my phone while in bed. Sounds like a pretty neat premise, though.

>>21755941
>>21755971
Good to hear! I'm open to all input, be it criticism or things you think would be cool. The saging and all that other business early on was a tad lame, but seems that it was just the lameasses of /tg/ being lameasses.
>>
>>21756009
Mini-quests will definitely be applied sparingly. Likely more for "Big stuff" than anything else.

I plan on running it 7 PM EST when able. Tuesday seems most likely, but if I'm able to somehow spare the time Monday, I'll do it. The odds of it happening Monday are <10% though. Lots of projects with the last two weeks of classes.
>>
>>21756013
t's a cool idea and some people are either jealous or just dumb. Enclave Quest lasted for 2 threads, then the OP got banned and he moved over to TGchan for awhile and some guy spilled his spaghetti all over the thread and the guy's twitter has been dead ever since. Hopefully he'll see this and bring it back one day.

Anyway I'd like to see us harness psionics or magic and expand on what appears to be Gunther's corruption. Maybe go full shadowrun and have some people metamorphize due to the presence of magic on the other side of the gate but that's just me.
>>
>>21750206
Actually, vaguely inspired, yes! Do you have some means of online contact, be it AIM, MSN, or the like? An extra mind couldn't hurt!
>>
>>21756059
Definitely reading it, in that case. Inspiration is always great!

As far as magic, psionics, etc, there's plenty of neat (hopefully) cards in the deck. We'll see what comes up! The Gate is definitely a unique magic item, and won't be the last you come across. There's a whole world to explore and conquer!
>>
>>21756013
As far as cool things go, I have think that appearances by some of the more elite Heer units would be interesting. The Panzer Lehr Division or Grossdeutschland for example
>>
now that i think about it, this quest also reminds me of 'Star Guard Quest'... the OP dissapeared after part 10...
>>
>>21756593
Well.... at least we have Fabrique Generale quest.
The OP of Star Guard showed up in that quest/civ and said he would continue Star Guard if people are interested..... he hasn't done that though.
>>
Didn't get a chance to join in today, but this looks like a heck of a lot of fun. Looking foward to next time.

>>21758790
If he returns he has my sword.
