Vietnam ended in 75 and we established that its 2013 or near enough. 30 years ago would put the time at 75 exactly in 2010 so it's close enough, but I'm not sure how good Yuri's education is. I'm amusing not very good considering the state of the country, but I would guess he would have at least an elementary level education, and war history would probably be included, but regardless it's a tossup with my argument mostly relying on the fuzziness of Yuri's knowledge of history.

On the night of the ball you are now somewhat presentable with your clean uniform and had any hair or stubble properly shaved or cut. Though the bathhouses are reserved for the nobles and while you considered using the steam baths the help used you opted to just clean yourself with the cold fountain water and the wash bucket with only Slypheed and the Fire Lizard (in which you eventually known as Flame) watching letting the warm spring day and Flame’s fire dry you off.

Deciding that after today’s events no immediate trouble will show up you decided to pack in light and arm yourself with your revolver which is placed in your holster and after much bickering, complaining, and begging brought Deflinger along leaving the rest of your equipment either buried in your hay bed or under Louise’s mattress.

It is a lot to take in and thus you needed this long awaited drink.

It also doesn’t help that your awaited drink is being served by little miniature magic dolls called Alviss who danced around entertaining guests while serving them along with the help while giving them a rather ‘cute’ feeling.

Too bad that their existence alone is slowly driving you to drink to death.

“May I ask why?” You replied the song for the second dance slowly dying down.

Of course, I will respect your wishes and actions to an extent but in return you also do the same to me.”

Before you had a chance to respond the song ended and you suddenly find your arm being enveloped by a soft sensation.

“Darling, dance with me too.” Kirche cooed as she pouted. “Besides I’m a much better dancer then this girl with two left feet.”

“Ze-Zerbst!” The Half-Pint stuttered. “Get your hands off my familiar!”

“Calm down Zero…” The fiery red head smiled teasingly. “It is rude to hog a gentleman all to yourself.”

This commotion lasted throughout the night and you ended up dancing with Louise, Kirche, Tabitha, and even Mon-Mon who just wanted to mess with Guiche before returning to your favorite corner and spend time with the bottle and some food.

Close enough that we are within yelling distance, but not up against it.

We should spend the next few weeks drafting up the design for the cabin (which should only take a few days), then procuring supplies and beginning construction.

As far as the design goes, a simple one room cabin should suffice, however we should have a basement where we can conduct our tinkering to recreate bits of home. Something that can be hidden by say moving a piece of furniture over the door in the floor. We will need room for a still, as well as a side shack for making powder....actually if we wanted to recycle our bullets we could try using tatp for the primer.....no that would just make the bullets go off at random times.
