Wizards are the most paranoid straight up insane bloodthirsty motherfuckers on the face of the planet, because if they aren't?

Another wizard will find you and eat your fucking brain.

I'm starting a setting for my group where wizards have a single spell, given at birth, of no specific utility. One of the spells a player has is the ability to exert minimal force on flowers. A BBEG might have something as OP as complete control over blood.

Spells can be taken from another wizard by eating their brain.

ITT: Looking for pictures of crazy wizards, and ideas for entertaining spells.

So spells in this world work for one of two reasons. First a bit of backstory...or afterstory really.

The spells that wizards bring into the world are by their nature converging as wizards brains are eaten by the more powerful, collecting into greater and greater pyschopathic titans. Seers/prophecies/the universe itself is aware that there is an individual in the future, the Wizard of All Wizards, who will have complete dominion over the universe.

I have two ideas for how spells work:

The first is that the universe is scared of the Wizard of All Wizards. Not yet knowing which *current* wizard will turn out to be him, different parts of the universe will listen to the bidding of different wizards. Once a wizard has conquested another, it is clear the dead one was *not* the WoAW, and the power is transferred.

The second idea is that all spells are something kind of like a loan from the universe. By casting a fire spell you're incurring a magical debt to be paid in the future, either by some evilness or an elemental opposite, I'm not sure.
>>
so are illithids part of this setting or what?
>>
>>27335884
They could be. In general I want the world to be mysterious and uncharted. At the moment the players are starting on a small scale, with only two or three spells each, some which won't be particularly useful.
>>
>>27335833
So in the end there can be only one?
>>
>>27335884
There might be creatures that feed off of wizard brains, somehow consuming the spell instead of possessing it.

>there is an individual in the future, the Wizard of All Wizards, who will have complete dominion over the universe.
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE

Wizard Highlander sounds pretty cool to be honest.
>>
>>27335957
And your players have an explicit in character motivation to betray, murder, and cannibalize each other? I can already see how this ends.
>>
Spell ideas:
* Alter gravity in an area the size of a small house during sunset or sunrise.

* Turn falling water into ice

* Speak to recently dead animals

* Eating a leaf allows you to see as if you were the tree it came from.
>>
My basic idea here is that whenever the GM says

>No, you can't Summon Water inside the enemy's lungs

It takes all the fun out of actually being a wizard. I want to encourage my players to be macgyver as fuck with their spells without it being OP, which is why they have a very limited set of them.
>>
I think this is an awesome concept, but I'm curious. What will you run this in? And how will you handle balance?

I'll help you brainstorm in a moment.
>>
>>27335992
Easy, their in character motivation to not immediately kill each other now is so once they're all at the top they can kill each other in glorious wizard battle.

I'm using Fate Core because (in terms of importance)

1. The players already know it
2. I think it will allow for open ended use of spells very well
3. I LOVE FATE

>>27336054
I think I'm going to either allow wizards to voluntarily give their spells to someone else or give one of the players the ability to transfer spells between wizards

* Instill fear in a nearby person/being when you are both in darkness

* When riding an animal it will never tire

* Your day is two hours longer than everyone elses

* You can't get lost

* You're always extremely hungry and have an acute sense of smell

* With your eyes closed and walking backwards you can perfectly retrace your steps
>>
Entertaining spells? Oh yeah, I've got a ton. I came up with some as curses for a campaign.

Beard: you can grow a beard. This beard can be as long or short as you specify, of any shape, and you can control it. You can also apply this to other people.

Chaotic human shapeshift: when you cast this spell on a human or monster in the area, it turns them human. Their taken form depends on a roll.

1-2: Crusty, dusty old man
3-4: Teeny tiny child
5-6: Busty, lusty tavernmaid
7-8: Powerful barbarian
9-10: Pile a' guts

Dire Chicken swarm: using a piece of chicken, you can spawn an army of chickens from the very ground.

Matron: you can alter a monster's mind to make them think they're a child and you're their mother.

All I got.

Another setting thing:

So the universe knows that the Wizard of All Wizards is coming, and it's fucking terrified.

Wizards are attuned to this kind of wizard plane of reality, and they can hear the whole universe screaming in terror. Forever.

Imagine going for a walk, passing by a nice oak tree which (nonlinguistically) starts screaming at you "HOLY FUCKING SHIT IT'S A WIZARD AAAAHHHH", except this happens from EVERYTHING.
>>
>>27335745
How many times a day can they cast their spell?
>>
>>27336278
At will unless otherwise specified. Really, they're more of powers, but I just like the words Spell and Wizard
>>
In this world Wizards take the role of bogeymen. Feared throughout the world and rarely showing themselves in public, a wizard showing her face in a small town, even a wizard who could summon marshmallows, would immediately be taken by the mob and lynched out of fear for what else she may be capable of.

The party's first adventure is going to be heading into a town controlled by a criminal group who have their own wizard, a man who used to be the town doctor. In exchange for getting to use his unspecified power as a threat, the wizard is allowed to eat the brains of newborns in the town, in case they might be wizards.

Spell Ideas:
>Power over Eyeballs:
Could go as far as blinding another being or just turning them the other way for sneaky goodness.
>I Cast Fist!:
Can project a punch some certain distance away from the caster.
>Unnatural Attraction:
Caster can generate a charming aura dialed from influencing someone to being friendly to subservient slave.
>Xray Vision
Xray Vision.
>Transmute Skin
Whatever the caster is touching can cause their skin to emulate its properties, stoneskin, diamondskin, cakeskin

How about a BBEG that instead of eating brains his original power was to somehow mark another wizard for possession, so when his opponent kills him he takes control of the new body and all accumulated spells?

>Transfer Emotions
The wizard can transfer emotions between himself and anyone he is touching. Absorb some of the trust of your allies and pass it to the guard when you shake his hand for instance.

> Illusory illusions
You have the ability to create illusions that seem believable to anyone who already knows they are illusions. Someone uninformed can obviously see through them though.

i.e. Your allies think that you have totally sick illusions, it'll fool everybody! THey're the only ones fooled though

>Mimic Sound
Any sound the caster hears can be perfectly recalled and uttered later
>Turn Object Invisible
Touch an object and make it invisible to normal vision.
>Change Flavor
This spell is highly sought after for people who regularly eat brains
>Generate Odor
Anything they've smelt before
>Adjust Sharpness
Make a ping pong ball sharper than a katana folded 1,000 times or make an enemies sword as sharp as a pillow
>Destroy specific (Material)

So do wizards and sorcerers regularly get laughing sickness/Kuru in this universe? It'd be a good way for regular folk to identify a wizard if always shakes and burst into random fits of laughter.
New Baddie: The Giggler
>>
>>27336971
Yes, that's great! I had forgetten about that kind of thing.

Does the odor have a specific source or could you have it cover a room slightly?

Mimic Sound is very cool, I can see that being used very Macgyver-like

>Accelerate Digestion

>Strengthen (left) leg
At the cost of weakening the other leg you can strengthen one leg temporarily

>Instill distrust
You can convince anyone talking to you that you are untrustworthy and/or currently lying
>>
>>27336971
>Generate Odor
>Anything they've smelt before

Probably more useful than it sounds.
>Purposefully seeking out the most wretched smells to cause your foes to puke mid combat
>Purposefully seeking out extremely beguiling and intoxicating smells to go full on Poison Ivy
>Never having to wash your clothes or take a shower again

Another thing about the world:

Much like genetic mutations, I think many spells wouldn't be tremendously useful.

Wizards spells would first appear some time around adolescence and reflect something about the life the wizard has lived so far. Furthermore, spells transferring owners change somewhat?

> View travelers
You can see a colored trail in the air representing the path of everyone who has passed through here. Ever. They are color coded with age though.

> Piggyback vision
You can see out of someone else's eyes, but not your own. Once activated, this effect lasts until sunset or sunrise, at which point the wizard has the option of dismissing it

> Teleport Mostly
A selected object or person is teleported to a location of your choosing. At least...most of it is.

> Make Lukewarm

> Straighten
The object you select (must have apparent orientation) becomes straight relative to a second object of your choosing.

> Quickmelt
Lower the phase change temperatures of a substance of your choosing in your vicinity drastically. Cannot be selectively applied

>Rotate Entity
Touch person/thing and rotate it along any axis as much or as little as you want. Getting attacked by axeman? Touch him and spin him upside down.
>Light Spit
Spit on something and it will glow with intense light.
>Attract Insects
Draws insects of all types to your location within a certain circumference. Does not give you control over them.
>Indestructible Teeth
>Isolated Tracking
You can mark one object and will always know it's location and distance away from you.
>Sap Sweat
Your sweat can be made very sticky, useful for climbing/stealing
>Forgetful Wink
Wink at an entity and they will momentarily forget what they were doing.
>>
>Understand birth
You have an unnatural understanding of reproduction and birth, and can deliver the offspring of virtually any creature that gives life birth. You also have a strange affinity for any pregnant creatures, especially women of your own race.

>Fire eater
You can eat fire, hot coals, lava, etc. and store it in your stomach for indefinite periods of time. You can exhale the heat for a vast array of effects. You could exhale hot coals to start a fire. Exhale all the heat for a fire breath attack. Thaw ice, boil water. Hold the coals in your stomach for extra warmth. Become a human hot-air balloon. However, the fire in your stomach is your life force, and you must eat fire to stay alive. Effects of not having fire in your belly are practically identical to starvation. Normal food can only hold back this starvation for a short while. You are not immune to fire unless you're physically swallowing it.
>>
> Blindspeech
You seem to be totally fluent in a language, and respond with full intelligence. However, you have no knowledge of what you say or what they say to you. (Think Searle's Chinese Room)

> Elevate
You may telekinetically lift or suspend an object of substantial weight. You cannot, however, control it's descent.

Some more powerful ones

>Unstoppable Forefinger
You forefinger can pierce any substance, but only that finger. Stuck in jail? Flick the lock off. Knights get a quick jab through the armor into their heart. Puddle of water? You can bet your ass you're able to pierce it.
>Mesmerizing Gaze Puppeteer
As long as you maintain eye contact with another entity any action you yourself emulate will be copied by your target. Opening your hand will cause them to drop their weapon, walking forward will cause them to move closer. Stifling your breath will force them to stop breathing.
>Forceful Sneeze
Much like the Big Bad Wolf you can cause your sneezes to be strong enough to knock down houses or concentrate it into a killing shot.
>>
>Reversed sight

You can see perfectly with your eyes closed, you're blind when they're open. You can inflict this temporarily on others by touch.

>Primordial Gesture
The user can make any gesture understandable, to, and beyond packing a novel's worth of meaning into a thumb-up. The gesture is known and understood by everyone who sees it, and can be repeated by anyone who sees it. However, only one gesture can be kept in the collective unconscious at a time, and the user must make a new gesture for a new meaning, the old one forgotten instantly. When making a new gesture, the time required is multiplied by the complexity of the message(IE:An order, consisting of three, grammatically correct sentences would take about a minute of concentration. Three rambling, run-on sentences would take three to five.) Adjust as you wish.
>>

As for spells... I don't really have anything that interesting, except mayber.

>Animate Doll
>Can temporarily animate dolls, puppets, or anything that's crafted well enough to look functional
>doesn't work if the doll is broken
>>
>Pervert Memory
You can alter a subject's memories, from making a childhood nursery rhyme cripplingly traumatic for the burly thug, to making your warden remember that the proper place to store the keys is in the prisoner's hands.

It requires that you pervert some of you own, though, so don't wind up like the crazy man you took it off of.
>>
>Beget Strife
Makes the target OCD.

About what? You decide.
>>
>Colorstorm

Targets existing weather. When cast on clouds that are dropping snow or rain, causes each droplet or snowflake to turn into a different color. The color stains and cannot be removed except with a Remove Curse spell.
>>
>Lightning rod
You have the power to be struck by lightning. At any time, you can call down a lightning bolt to strike you, and then you can redirect the energy through the ground to strike upwards to the heavens. Lightning bolts from storms, electrical magical effects, etc. will always hit you if you're in the general vicinity. You are only somewhat resistant to being struck. A lightning strike that would instantly kill most beings of your size will instead leave you incapacitated. Your resistance does nothing to dull the pain. People with this power are likely to have psychological trauma.

>Twotongue
Everything you say is either a complete truth or an outright lie. When you lie you cannot use half truths, what you say must be completely false. You cannot speak the truth about something you don't already know, and you can't leave important details out of the truth. However, there are loopholes to these rules if you can find them. You also have a sense tell if someone is telling a half-truth or lying by omission because of your own inability to do so. Your familiarity with the sound of whole truths and lies allows you to physically sense the gaps and inconsistencies. However, you can't tell exactly what's true or false in a half-truth, and your guess about whole truths and outright lies are about as good as anyone else's.

So you want to hear about wizards do you? I've got a story or three up m'sleeve if you've ears to hear them.

Have you heard the story of Bethany the Many-Faceted? A very powerful wizard from over the mountains, where they cover their faces and speak from the sides of their mouths. Bethany had a great many...business interests, as wizards always do.

Now, I'm no friend of the wizards, and would sooner make a pact with a lion then deal with one of them, but sometimes a wizard can give you what no one else can. And Bethany? She had treasure galore, from god knows where.

Bethany was seen one morning in a small town, speaking to their smithy, then that afternoon in a city three days ride to the north. At first people thought she was able to bend space to her will, a fearsome power itself, but her was much more mysterious.

When I was but a boy, travelling in my father's wagon, we was staying at an inn of no particular note, when SHE walked through the door. I lay, almost asleep by the fire, when I saw another Bethany step out from within the first! They spoke quietly, then one walked out the doorway. Naught more happened that night, but I'll never forget it.

No one's seen her for decades, but the legend is, whenever Bethany split like that, her sanity was split too. She pushed and pushed, until dozens of Bethanys were roaming the land, returning and merging together.

One of them though...one never came back. Story says that shade feared death, feared what would happen when they merged again. So you know what it did? So it snuck back home, and in the dead of night, slit Bethany's neck!

Wizards beget wizards, and their spells will probably be similar, but it's not the exact same spell.

Then again, not many people are willing to have sex with the criminally insane or the liminally arcane.
>>
>Form Abomination
Will make a selected item seem unbearable to the senses of those capable of detecting it. It does this without actually altering the item, and will wear off the first moment it is not being perceived. May result in property damage.

>Induce Facetiousness
The victim becomes incapable of perceived as being in any other emotional state than amused apathy. Induced by contact, and is expressed immediately after the contact ends. Is permanently induced in the wielder, and cannot be used selectively. Not very sexy.

>>
>Mind gather
You can gather the thoughts, memories and feelings of any being capable of these experiences. They become part of your psyche and can be imparted to others psionically (This includes your own memories). Care must be taken because the memories accumulate and amplify as you gather more and more, but you have strong resistance if you gather them slowly. All your gathered memories and experiences can be used as an attack. You can impart several lifetimes worth of torture all at once on someone and kill them, or blast their mind with hundreds of voices to incapacitate them, or you could make a guard feel absolute rage and cause them to kill the other guards on post, or you could make someone feel a hundred orgasms at once because you're a terrible lover. You lose the gathered memories once you impart them, but you can take them back if you're quick enough. You lose your resistance when trying to pull back memories in this way, so trying to pull back a particularly painful experience could incapacitate you. You can also impart single memories for other reasons, such as to provide extra perspective to someone. The effects of this ability will not usually work at full strength against experienced wizards and others with great mental strength. However, if the attack is particularly strong, (something like, I don't know... the thoughts and feelings of 10,000 soldiers who were all dying slowly on the battlefield) it could potentially turn even the most powerful wizard into a crying, blubbering, weeping mass of pain lying in the fetal position.

>Find humor
You can always, without fail, find the humor in anything. You don't always find everything funny, but you could if you felt like it. You can also impart the found humor into anyone else so that they also understand why buckets are absolutely HILARIOUS. Won't do anything to someone who already finds whatever it is funny.

>Slippery
You can become essentially frictionless at will. Also applies to whatever you're wearing.

>The Best
Everyone around you is absolutely convinced you're the best at something, but they aren't quite sure what it is. Adoring fans will ask you for your autograph, crowd you for a chat, and look at you in awe saying:
"It's that famous musician!"
"I could have sworn he's the king's tailor."
"Naww, he's that swordsman who fought off a hundred men with a sewing needle!"
When you leave, nobody will have a clue why they said all those things about you.

>Stone thrower
You can throw stones with pinpoint accuracy. This only applies to stones you can reasonably lift with one hand.
>>

>>
>>27339615
Hmm, I'd say it just disappears. Maybe it'll come up again some day, but a wizards spell is shaped by who they are, it's not like there's a fire-control spell floating in nothingness that is then assigned to a wizard
>>
>>27339649
Well the power is a loan from the universe right? I got that from earlier posts. So even though the specific power is attuned to the wizard, wouldn't the 'energy' or whatever his powers come from that he was using go back to be given to a new babby wizard as a new/different power?
>>
>>27335745
this goes one of a few ways. what happens when wizards die with their brains uneaten? is their power just gone?

a likely way to create the WoAW is someone with a power set capable of farming powers or otherwise having control over a sufficiently large part of everything in some way. this isn't a doomsday scenario, it's something that would happen all the time on some scale. the question would be if this gathered power stays around or disappears somehow.

but there's the possibility that this won't create the WoAW. it might just be a ridiculously powerful wizard. the other way it might happen is just about anything, because wizards.

>Cheeseseeker
You cannot eat food without some cheese to go with it. You find it to be absolutely revolting. You always somehow manage to find some cheese though. No matter how illogical or outlandish it may seem, you will ALWAYS find cheese when you want it. However, no one can survive on cheese alone, so you do have to eat regular food... unless you have

>Cheese eater
You can survive on nothing but cheese. But cheese tastes extremely bland to you.

I think the power just disappears. Whether there's some kind of Conservation of Magical Energy that connects this loss to some future magician isn't that important I think.

Actually, I guess that Conservation would imply a static fixed amount of magic in the universe. The narrative that I thought of was more of magic pouring into our universe and wizards collecting it here, filling their brains with crazy until one of them gets enough that they will become the Wizard of All Wizards

In my mind the Wizard of All Wizards has collected enough spells that they have complete control over the universe.

>Deconstruct Logic
Three times a day, the user may pick any logical point in an argument, and render it moot via nonsense. This will be accepted by all who hear it first hand, and though they can't spread this effect, they cannot be dissuaded from believing it.

>Inconspicuous Abnormality
When used, anything Wizardy that may provoke panic, a reaction, or even a remark, is viewed as "forgettable", "not worth my time", and "less magical than that one whore's blowjobs".

>Bureaucratic Protection
A passive ability. The user must sign, submit, and file papers for every major decision they make, including Wizardry, eating brains and gaining more Wizardry, and especially diplomacy. The only "benefit" being that every enemy will insist on checking with their bosses at least three times, and gaining specific instructions at least four, before they will act in any way against you. There is a special form they may request, that will cancel both of the effects, but it will be forever "on the way".

>Create Accusation
The user may make a claim against any non-wizard. This claim must be of a plan to overthrow, become heir to, or otherwise replace a present authority figure. Regardless of the truth of the claim, the accused will agree with the accuser. The authority will do the reverse,
>>
>>27339772

Hmm... I have some ideas, but they're mostly bad.
Welp, whatever.

>Catch
The wizard can catch things. Any things, ranging from small objects, large objects, people's drifts, colds, up, a break...
It's basically limited reality bending focused around a single word and the regular phrases associated with it. Of course, a wizard can't just make up some random meaning and expect it to work.

>The Truth.
The wizard can only speak the truth. This means telling the truth (For important things), or changing reality to make what they say the truth (For unimportant things). For example, the wizard couldn't say "I have already eaten your brain" because it's a fairly big deal, but they could say "Your hair is Blonde" to a brunette and have the hair color change.

There is one small addendum that would make it useful/OP in certain circumstances. If the person with the ability believes strongly enough in one thing and one thing only, their statements regarding that are always their own and always true, so if a religious fanatic says "God exists", then the big guy is up there.

> Future Sight-Dinner
The wizard can now see what any person, themselves and other wizards included, will be eating for dinner next.
So that can lead to interesting results if they use it on somebody and don't see anything...
>>

It seems that this would imply a practically infinite number of different powers. Albeit, it would have a snowballing effect. As the wizard gains more and more powers, it make it easier to gain more and more, faster, until he has so much power he can actually use his powers to gain an infinite number of powers. It doesn't make sense in terms of mathematics, but it makes perfect sense in terms of wizards.
>>
>>27340149
That's exactly what I'm going for, in terms of infinite powers and the snowballing effect. The snowballing is restrained by the fact that spells are correlated with insanity, and there's a whole world of wizards out there trying to eat your brain too.

Just when you think you're hot shit, can run as fast as a horse, punch like a falling building, and breath underwater, some little 12 year old comes by who has the spell to control blood.

>wizard is born with the ability to write down a brain's contents on paper
>does so
>it's copied down and spread everywhere
>wizards everywhere eat it
>the most powerful wizards have to use entire books
>they trade certain powers for other powers
>it's too dangerous to carry around the books when trading
>so instead they carry around very specific tokens
>each one unique to the wizard
>these represent one spell owed
>wizards eventually spread the idea to common people
>they just use the tokens by the nation instead
>spells become so common that there are wizardry shops in every major city
>wizards become more common because less brain eating
>eventually spreading of new spells becomes industrialized
>brain eating becomes an unrefined, unused, unappreciated castoff
>but the old ways simmer under the surface

Dang, the WoAW is a seriously complex idea. You're going to have to think of ways for it to actually happen. The WoAW would probably start happening when no single wizard could possibly stand against the currently most powerful. Albeit, ANY spell could end up killing even the most powerful of wizards, they could be incredibly powerful, nearly godlike, but then laid low by the mighty power of accelerated toenail growing.

>Hey, what's that?

For those who don't get the joke, in Homestuck buckets are used by an alien race called trolls as a device to create new baby trolls called grubs. The method in question involves jacking off into a bucket, then sending it with a robot to be fed to a mother grub which then combines the content of all buckets to create a batch of grubs.

> Aspect Shift
You can take any object you can life with two hands, and with some force, stretch it and change the aspect ratio. Widen a ladder but make it shorter, turn a thick bit of rope into a long thread, or squish a sphere until it's almost a plate.

>Redirect blame
You have the power to redirect the blame onto anyone or anything, even the accuser. Everyone is forced to accept that it is the target of this spell's fault, no matter how illogical it seems in reality.

>Gordian hair
You have complete control of all of your hair, and can grow it to immense lengths. You can make it tie itself into knots or braid itself into rope. These knots can only be undone with sharp objects, and are regularly vulnerable when not using their combined strength.

>Find a penny pick it up
If you find any sort of object that is used as the smallest denomination of currency for any culture in your world on the ground and pick it up, you gain a stroke of luck. Strokes of luck can stack, but don't make you extra lucky by having more. If you have a stroke of luck, something that would otherwise have been unfortunate will turn out for the better for you. You can also actively use strokes of luck to an extent, to gain whatever you desire. The universe will not bend over backwards to give you what you want when you have luck, but it will usually make it happen in SOME small way at the least. Strokes of luck are consumed when they change regular outcomes in any way. As long as you have strokes of luck, it is practically impossible for severe harm to befall you, unless you are a willing participant. Strokes of luck will let severe harm befall you if it is the only reasonable way to at least save your life. Strokes of luck almost always manifest themselves in a physically logical way, and it may even seem that events couldn't possibly have turned out any different. The wizard with this ability has practically no way of telling when it's at work, and will probably not know how many strokes of luck he has left, but they can test it by actively attempting to make things go their way. It's up to the GM to keep track and fudge when necessary. Wizards with this ability can easily become paranoid about whether or not they have luck left.

Not too sure about the first question, but the second one is "If they could", but the only wizards powerful enough to keep a harem are powerful enough to just hunt down and take any power they please.

If an object isn't flammable, make it flammable, if it is, make it more flammable
>>
>>27354283
addendum: The extent of this is limited based on the initial flammability of the substance IE spontaneous combustion requires something naturally very volatile.

another power: touch a radioactive substance, it ceases to be radioactive, but maintains current mass
>>
>Drinking Problem Curse
You gain the ability to make someone spill or fumble anything they try to drink. You do have to be looking at them, but there is no outward sign that you're the one doing anything. Keep doing it and they might choke or die of thirst.

>Flingernails
You can telekinetically control your fingernails, even after you've cut them off. The smallest pieces can be controlled for a few minutes before becoming inert, and if you rip off a whole nail you can control it for a day. You can't use them to apply any more force than you could with the grip of your hands, but if you exercise to strengthen your grip this will help the power.

>Control Fog
This just lets you summon, or dispel, or concentrate, or disperse, any existing mist or fog. It also works on poisonous miasma, or smoke. You just can't create it out of nothing, or cause it to disappear, just move it around, to or from places in your line of sight.

>Summon Plank
You summon a single footlong plank of 2x4 wood. You can only have 1 plank in existence.
After 30 seconds, the plank dissipates.

Super-Hindsight. The wizard is not particularly talented in the present, but he always knows exactly what he should have done immediately afterward. He enjoys a massive bonus to any rolls that have already happened but not to an that are happening right now.

Resist Being Summoned. This applies to magical summoning spells as well as jury duty.

>Heavy Meta
Casting this spell can physically encumber the target with the actual concept of heaviness. The amount of weight is directly proportional to the amount of weight that individual can conceive. (Highly intelligent individuals may find themselves crushed in the increase of mass.)

>Transmit Life
An amount of time (standard cast is about 10 minutes) can be pulled from any living plant or animal (no bacteria loopholes) and imbued into something nonliving (can be used as temporary resurrection). With incredibly high mana consumption or a permanency spell, this can take all remaining life of the first target and imbue it in the second.

>Counter Smite: Source
This ward inverts the alignment of a smite and reverses it on the user. Takes an hour to cast, lasts for a week or one smite.

>Crowdvision
The caster emits a small, glowing mist that can travel freely through matter. If this mist passes into the head of another being, the caster can see from their perspective. Maximum range: 15ft.

>Seed of Doubt
Allows the negation of a critical failure or critical success once per day for every four caster levels. (Turns critfails into 2s and crit successes into 19s, effectively).

>Trasmute Orb
Can turn any object less than 5 pounds into a sports ball indefinitely. Lasts until caster dies, sleeps, or the object is dispelled. Cannot be used while threatened.
