Any number of sick people is bad, because it means fewer people working. A certain number is inevitable because disease is, well, endemic.

If we had a healer on our ring we could put extra points into health, which would stem the problem. Unfortunately we have no Chalana Arroy worshipers at all. We'll let the disease alone for a while longer and cure a bunch of people at once later.

Plenty of things to do with other tribes, like resolve feuds or set up what trade routes we still can. Just suggest one and we'll do it. We're pretty popular and we've maxed out how many alliances we can handle, so we're fine there.

This is the tribal heroquest, its rewards only appear once you're in a tribe. We're actually okay on most of these, our reputation and tribal morale being high.

So, I recently got this game, as I've sporadically followed these threads. All I can say is, holy shit it's hard.

I mean, how do you succeed as well as you guys have? All that magic, Jesus Christ. I just wanted to ask you a question: how do I learn new myths for Heroquesting? And how do I find the myths themselves, so I don't have to savescum all the quests/fail horribly. I know there's a lore section in the main menu, but how do I find more/more elaborate myths to add to it?

You sacrifice to a god for their mysteries for details of their quest. It takes multiple sacrifices to know all of a legend, and even if you look it up on line, your success is at least partially dependant on how much of the quest your clan knows in game. So you need to sacrifice repeatedly. The gods really have a monopoly on the sacrifice market.

Continue to sacrifice to that god for mysteries. You can also do the Lankhor Mhy finds the Truth with that as your goal. Some events will also have people tell you a myth, and if you 'learn new details' (semi-random), you can get a more detailed version of it that way.

Also, some of the myths have more than one correct answer, as seen upthread with the 'file a lawsuit against the rock to make it fall apart' option.

Sacrifice for Mysteries, you'll learn a ritual or get knowledge of a heroquest. Success or failure is dependent on your quester's stats and how much you know about the heroquest. If its circle is filled in, know the secrets of that quest, improving your odds of success.

There's also a random element, which can be frustrating.

You can also learn heroquests by calling in favors and asking for information, and in some events.

As for doing well, it comes down to luck, persistence and learning how the game fits together.
