Sliding open your index, you aim the camera up at his corpse, zooming in on it and waiting for the resolution to clear up.

You snap a picture of the man you knew and send it in a message to the boss before dialing his line.

It rings once, and you feel a knot coming up in your throat. It rings again and it tightens. A third time and still no pickup.

Boss picks up on the fourth ring,"Hello Boss." You whisper into the speaker, scared of what's to come, if not a little downcast.

"A scent, sir." You're starting to relax a little. So long as you don't look up, it's a lot easier. Like answering questions for inspection. "It was a disinfectant used to cover up his smell."

There's a silence after that one.

While we still do not understand its goal, we must cover the worst possible scenarios, while also accounting for other likelihoods as we still have no eyewitness reports as to how it looks.

we need to use our old cold trick when we confront the hybrid. he probably has never been confronted with an ice type before and will most likely get him off balance.
