“Wilhelmina I was attacked by a hit squad this morning, so my brain is a bit rattled. You had your sights set on being a Battle Mage since near the beginning. I have no idea what I want to do, so I’m going to give it some thought later on while having a bit of tea before going to bed.” you reply.

“Good idea. In fact those new rooms that were promised for us should be ready.” Wilhelmina replies.

“Then let’s have a look at it shall we?” you ask as you head out from the library.

As you approach your new temporary living quarters, you can see this is another example of the Pride Demons trying to show off if anything else. The castle you’re living in is indeed shared with other nobles, but an entire section of it is decreed your own. Impressive works of art line the halls next to the mirror polished sets of armour as your feet feel as if they’re on a cloud when upon the red carpet. The banquet hall appears to be easily the size of the Fort Hope Ballroom, while the bathroom is fit with a modest spring that could be mistaken for a small pool. All of this is protected by guards... A lot of guards. Including a ‘few’ Pride Demon Knights stationed here alongside with their demonic bodyguards.

“So it was... Right here?” you ask Wilhelmina while looking for your room.

“I think. Let’s just try this door.” Wilhelmina says as she throws open the door to a room.

As you enter, you can see what appears to be a Succubi with her traits out, currently doing her best to make the bed of the room. She’s a bit shorter than you with soft brown hair and dressed in a maid uniform. She turns around to meet your eyes as soon as you enter. “Excuse me, are you Lady Brooklyn Browning, the Court Mage of Fort Hope?”

“That I am.” you reply.

“My name is Samantha Delph and I shall be your maid so long as you attend here.” the Succubus says with a small curtsy.

Hm... It’s considered very rude to refuse such a gift as a personal Succubus Maid when you’re a mortal, even if it’s only temporary.

OK, some people mentioned the other classes were too strong/weak, so I tried to balance them out.

For joining Wizards, Brooklyn gains the unique skill of Wizard Magic [Spells are harder to dispell and have less negative backlash it has any], three free rituals spells of your choosing, and the ability to make a one shot stored ritual of any control or non-melee unique magic [This increases the power of the spell, makes it cheaper, and harder to dispell, but can only be used one one spell. Yes you can decide to change spells, such as storing fireball one day then Moonblast another day], and lastly a control can go from nothing to average or from Average/Good to Good/Great.

For joining the Sorcerers, Brooklyn gains the skill of EN-Save and Unique Power Bonus. EN-Save reduces the aether cost for all spells by 20%, except for those that drain the entire Aether pool. Unique Power Bonus increases the power of all unique spells. The teachings of the Sorcerer's will allow Brooklyn to learn one additional extra for all his unique spells. Lastly a control can go from nothing to average or from Average/Good to Good/Great.

For joining the Witches, Brooklyn gains: Chemistry/Engineering (Artifacts)/Physics to good (or to awesome if already good), items allow Brooklyn to use medium cost controls for light aether cost (Rituals are not affected by this) and to go to ammo based costs instead of aether based costs, and can select one control to go from nothing to Average or from Average to good.

Bard school offers the unique skill Bardic Training [+10 to *all* skill rolls], two social magic schools from nothing to average [Or pick one good rank to make it great], and Persuasion and one other social skill go from nothing to good immediately, and lastly you get one social Ability upon becoming a Bard, due to connections.

“I hope you don’t my dear, because we’ll be moving out of this place as soon as we can.” Ada says taking out a fan and using it on herself. “Still the amount of powerful demons here is quite something, I’m sure no one could get in or out without them knowing about it. They seem to have eyes and ears everywhere!”

Great, there goes your privacy while you’re here. While you can get away with something like a summoning ritual in Old TO, doing it right in the middle of a Pride Demon noble house is something completely different.

While smaller than the Richardson bath, it is still quite a large bath. The only people appearing to be in it right now are Leona, Erika, and Amanda (with Erika being shapeshifted). Brodin is in here too, but he’s currently napping on a nearby bench.

“I’ve never seen so much water in my life in one place.” Wilhelmina remarks.

“Yes, back on Pandora water was precious. Those who had Water Control were held in very high regard.” Wilhelmina states before pointing to the bath. “Inquiry, may I.”

Just as Wilhelmina begins to unbutton her leather armour, you can hear Erica in your head.

Taking off your clothing and getting into the baths, you take your time and enjoy a nice long soak. The feeling of water being all around you and being able to stretch yourself out feels like pure bliss.

“The salt content is *far* too high. Natural spring water is supposed to be the best, but here it seems like they’ve overdone it.” Amanda says.

You take a few of your friends to the bar, but make a note for Brodin to tell you things before he gets absolutely smashed. He claims that he gets most of his scythe work done here by some Sloth Demon in Old TO. He sells weapons at varying prices, but since Brodin is a Reaper he just passes the scythe to the Greed Demon and his ‘company’ sorts out the rest. The place is closed now though, so you’ll need to head there tomorrow if you want anything.

“...God damnit it’s impossible to get any aether here at this bar.” you mutter taking a sip of your drink.

You have a few dances with the ladies, but it’s a bit tricky. There are only four normal women in the bar. Two of them you dance with go on until their decreased Aether levels make them weak, and the third you only take a bit for worry that the other Succubi here would catch on or if anyone is spying on you.

Going to bed in the Pride Demon’s place, you can feel the soft matress and pillow seeming to pull you into a sleep faster than you thought possible. While you like your room in Fort Hope, your bed is absolutely terrible and something you’ve been wanting to fix.

“Fine, let’s just go meet up with them.” Ada says as you leave the booth.

You first stop for meeting up is in the basement of an abandoned Old World building a bit outside the bounds of Old TO. The official explanation of this is that you’re trying to set up a geomatic network to make a hostile weather node outside of Fort Hope with specific timings. You know it’s bullshit in all actuality, but it should be a smooth enough blend of ignorance, perceived inexperience, and fact to throw off anyone who does both to read it.

Meeting up with the Succubi to change places with, the Aide takes your position while the Laminian takes Ada’s. You spend about a half hour explaining who you are, your personality details, brief history, and other bits of information. Likewise the two give you some brief bits of information in return. Kerrigan Hobbes is your new name, while Miko Tsubasa is the name of Ada’s personality.

After your duplicates leave, you wait several minutes before deciding to leave. Looking up the stairs, they seem a lot taller than they used to be.

“Ada?” you ask.

“Hm?” Ada replies.

“How do you get used to everything being giant sized?” you ask.

“I satisfy myself with saying my ego is bigger.” Ada replies.

“Huh...” you reply. “...Could we switch later?”

“Possibly. I want to see that free back and wing massage I found in the Aide’s clothing will still work.” Ada says as you climb the icy stairs back up into the snowy winter world. Free to once again do as you please.
