Welcome to Academy City. The time is morning, the weather is looking to be alright and the date is now July 27.You are Kyril Torikov, a ‘Level 2’ Telekinetic Child Error. Currently you are considering your situation. You’ve made a major leap in your Ability, or so you like to think, and Komoe-sensei had promised to send you some homework to help. As for other obligations you still have something to do for a certain fish-eyed researcher by the name Nunotaba. That’s a week or so away and irrelevant at the moment for you had other things to do today.Your plan for the day is to take Asuka out on a date. Unfortunately you don’t exactly have a plan for that so you’re going to have to play it by ear. Fortunately enough, you weren’t going to meet up until lunch time so there was time to hash out some ideas. Honestly, aside from Asuka’s love of beating the tar out of thugs who dared to cross her, you weren’t exactly sure what she would prefer doing. ‘Interesting’ is a very vague and evasive term.>Check times for a movie>Check times for a concert>Check something else (write-in)
The rules are pic related. For more information see: http://padlet.com/wall/acsquareqUnfortunately I could not update things in time for this thread. Apologies.

>>30524831>Check times for a concert
>>30524831>Check times for a concert.Hell if we have free time lets go check for a movie too. Always best on a date to have all possible options in mind.
>>30524831>check times for a concert.
>>30524831Concert>>30524850Wait, weren't you posting our ongoing objectives at the start of these threads now?
You decide to check out some times for the concerts. Most of the good stuff has been booked but there are a few live houses you knew that sold last minute tickets as well. Then there was also Kyousuke. Apparently he was doing a recital today and he could easily get you some tickets. Hell you were sure he offered to last night. However, it probably wouldn’t be as exciting as something else.Looking up some times, there were some places that were still open. There was a rap ‘battle’ that was happening tonight though you’re not familiar with the artists here. Another option was an old rock band that was making a bit of a comeback. They were real popular in the ‘80s but fell quietly off the radar as they battled their drug addiction and various STDs. The last option was a techno gig accompanied with a supposedly impressive light show.>Reserve a ticket (rap, rock, techno)>Call up Kyousuke>Decide later when you have Asuka’s opinion

>>30525482>Decide later when you have Asuka’s opinion
>>30525482How much money do we have and how much are the tickets? Are they refundable?
>>30525572Non-refundable and you are financially comfortable enough to buy one for yourself and your date. In fact you have some money set aside for today and you are most likely going to receive some money in the near future.
>non-refundableCrap.
Let's Aneue and see if she knows which Asuka would prefer.
>>30525816this. chicks love surprises
You hold off on getting some tickets. They weren’t exactly refundable and you’d rather give her some options. You’re sure she’d appreciate not being dragged to an event which she finds disagreeable. With a tentative plan laid out, your morning now seems decidedly less stressful than it was earlier. There’s still some time until lunch so you can probably squeeze in something productive before leaving. The most obvious thing to do would be to practice using your Ability but it could be tiring. Ditto with physical activity as you’d rather not shower again so early in the morning. There was also that thing you had to do for Nunotaba. No time like the present to start looking in to how you were going to accomplish the task she has given you. Then there was Kiyama’s pistol. You took it off her and somehow managed to keep a hold of it. Given yesterday evening you had a feeling it might prove useful. Lastly you could just head out early, maybe you could get some flowers or something before meeting up with Asuka.>Practice your Ability>Research Kaiou U>Get acquainted with the gun>Just head out now
>>30525890>Get acquainted with the gun
>>30525890>Research Kaiou Uat least a quick look over the campus map
>>30525890Unload the gun and attempt to disassemble and reassemble it using TK. Might be too hard but we could start developing finer control of our power
>>30525890>GunUnload and get a feel for the controls. Where's the safety, does it have a decocker or is it single action only, what's the trigger weight like, how many rounds will it carry, how long is the sight base, etc.It takes only a few seconds to do that much, so then we should have time to do something else.Flowers might be nice.
>>30525890>Just head out nowPick up a gift for Asuka. Get a cell-phone strap to stick on the Dead.
Figuring you could use the extra insurance, you look up the gun and information on it. It doesn’t take long for you to pick up basic gun safety and determine the make and model of Kiyama’s gun. It is an American M1911 and it is fully loaded. Safely removing the magazine, you make sure to check the mechanism of the gun and the sights. You also try operating telekinetically with limited success. At best you’d be able to hold it aloft and pull the trigger but any more than that is probably going to require more practice. You re-insert the mag and engage the safety before tucking the gun in to the inside pocket of your jacket. Putting in your pants may not be wise.As you make your way out you consider getting something for Asuka. The last time you didn’t get something was because you didn’t find it necessary. You like to think that your relationship has improved. However, that could take up some time and you’d be forced to actually meet up with Asuka somewhere as opposed to picking her up at the Tokiwadai dormitory.>Let’s get her something and meet up to save time>Let’s go pick her up, shopping can wait
>>30526344>>Let’s get her something and meet up to save time

>>30526344>Let’s go pick her up, shopping can waitWe skipped out on picking her up last time.
>>30526344>Let's go pick her up, shopping can wait until after we get tickets.
You decide to just go pick her up anyway. It was the gentlemanly thing to do. You can’t say your relationship has improved if you didn’t do at least this much. Besides, it’s not like you couldn’t take her shopping later. After taking her out to lunch that is. There was plenty of time in the afternoon anyway. The time is now nearing lunch, the weather has warmed up and the date remains unchanged. You arrive a bit early and get plenty of curious looks. The Ladies of Tokiwadai are no doubt gossiping about something or another. In fact you see Shirai in the distance putting on her armband. No doubt she’s going to tell you off for loitering. Before she could get to you however, you are greeted by Asuka.“I take it you have not been waiting long.”Accompanying her is Aneue.“Just got here,” you reply eying the two of them.“Though she has permission to return past curfew I trust you will not keep her out too late,” Aneue speaks, “And for your sake, you will do to remember my words.”“Well I’m sure Kyril will be a gentleman regardless,” Asuka practically giggles, “Well shall we?”You simply offer her your arm in reply and leave quickly. >>30527396Depends on what we do with it. At least a year I'd imagine.
>>30527396>>30527486Well, then don't get caught by judgement and only break it out if we're going to use it and the situation warrants it, like life or death
You both have lunch at Ahnenerbe. It was familiar, albeit quaint, and served lunch alongside its sweeter fare. Asuka settled for some kind of pie called a quiche whereas you went for a normal sandwich. It was after you had finished and had ordered more tea that a Golgo 13 lookalike served the both of you some crème brûlée.“On the house,” he says in a gravelly voice. With a smile and a hidden thumbs-up, he retreats with your other dishes.“That was rather nice of George,” Asuka remarks, “No doubt he thinks we are on a date of some sort. And yes that is the name of the owner of the Ahnenerbe. He does not speak too much. I reckon his waitresses do more than enough of that for him.”Come to think of it, you finally notice that the coffee shop did indeed have two waitresses since they never came to your table. Weird.“Anyway, I am wondering what diversion you have planned for this afternoon.”“I have a few ideas,” you reply.Giving her the short of it she voices her preferences,“I suppose a concert will be sufficient. I am quite familiar with classical music and it is preferable to that popular music that you call ‘rap’ and ‘rock.’ However I have never experienced electronic music before and it would be a rather novel experience. >>30528212I'm not crazy about packing heat either but its in our fucking pocket anyway and we just have to deal with it.just avoid badge wearing folks like all hell and maybe ask Asuka about weapon laws. She might know a rule or two, owning the dean and all.

>>30528318>when the QM does something stupid we should just ignore it
With her opinion factored in you choose to reserve some tickets for the techno gig. Besides, you’d probably find Kyousuke’s recital boring though you don’t tell Asuka that.“New experiences are good. Plus that kinda place always draws some troublesome types, we might run into something fun there,” you reason out your choice.“Well I suppose the chance of running in to trouble is a bit of a consolation if I do not find the music to my liking,” Asuka admits, “May I know the name of the show that we shall see?”You show her. It was a stylised logo of the band. The other two shows had ridiculously long names in comparison. The rap one was, “Epic Rap Battles of History: OG Loc vs. Madd Dogg,” whereas the rock show was, “Love Fist: The Re-E‘l’ection Comeback Tour.” You’re not sure who thought those titles were a good idea.“I suppose the show will not be for a while yet,” she continues, “I propose we wander the malls for a while.”You don’t really see much argument there since you did have a few hours to kill. The underground mall is nearby and it had plenty of shops and an arcade. While the latter did have stuff couples did on dates like the crane game and the photo machine, the former had better things to buy if you really wanted to get Asuka something nice.>Browse a shop (specify type)>Hit the arcade

Well the arcade was always a safe bet. There were plenty of things to do even if Asuka seemed to have seen most of what is on offer already. She isn’t complaining, especially since she is competitive, as you soon learn. She demolishes you at Gekisho 9 and a quick round of games later and you note that she’s pretty good at most of the games. Your curiosity on the subject is answered with a smug,“Unlike The Railgun, I actually use my arcade tokens as they were intended.”Of course you still reign over the dancing games, much to Asuka’s frustration. She is only somewhat consoled by the fact that you are still not top of the leader board. In fact she seems amused that you do not know the identity of the mysterious KYOU. All Asuka would say on the matter is that KYOU is most definitely a girl but aside from her ridiculously hooded jacket and short pants, her other less easily replaceable features are unknown. As you drop the subject, you gesture to the crane game.“Are you sure?” she is still amused, “I’ve always thought them to be a waste of money.”“Of course,” you answer, “I’ll get you something nice.”That said you had to aim for something.>Aim the frog, easy>Aim for the rabbit, medium>Aim for the fairy, hard>Aim for them all, impossible>On second thought, how about we use the photo machineI will require a 1d20 roll if you wish to play.

You aim for the yellow fairy and with some careful manoeuvring you managed to get the crane in position to nab it. As the crane lowers itself it knocks the rabbit over but the result really was never in doubt. Cheating wasn't even necessary. You hand the prize over to a surprised Asuka.“I didn’t think you’d have so little faith in me,” you joke.“I am quite surprised,” she admits, “You did not even use your Ability. I suppose that I shall be thankful to you for gifting me with Mehrunes.”She’s already named the stuffed fairy apparently.“You’re calling it Merun?”“Her name is Mehrunes, Mehrunes Dagon in full and Mel to her friends,” she is taking this naming business seriously, “I do not expect you to know the name of great power when you see one.”You only nod,“Do you want another one?”Asuka doesn’t laugh but her smile is clearly one of challenge.“I do not think you will be so lucky this time but you are free to waste as much of your money on it in your attempt to please me.”Yup, she’s definitely challenging you.>Aim for the frog, easy>Aim for the tiger, medium>Aim for the rabbit, hard>Aim for them all, impossible>Let’s see Asuka do better>Suggest another activity (write-in)Please roll a 1d20 if you wish to play.

With her arms full of plushies, you both head on out to the concert. There’s no sense in dawdling. The prizes in her arms remain obstinately in her arms. Well you procured a bag for her just in case. The event was being hosted in a small planetarium. They were going to project stuff to accompany the music. The flyers outside boasted that the show would be “out of this world,” though you remain sceptical of course. There are also posters of the band in question. You’re not quite sure how they arranged themselves since there were four of them. Honestly, you thought DJs were mostly solo acts if they weren’t a two man team just to mix things up. The venue also gave you seats, which was weird, but it’s not like you had to stay in them. There wasn’t much of a preshow but when the lights dimmed a hush fell over the crowd. Then the centre stage lit up and the four man band emerged. When they started playing, you were pleasantly surprised it wasn’t trashy dubstep.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjli3hj0ZkMThey sounded more like 70s or 80s disco tributes in all honesty. Asuka for her part is captivated not just by the music but the light show dancing in on the ceiling. It was a basic music video but you guess it was pretty clever. Despite the light show going on ahead, your eyes have adapted enough to see through the darkness. The figure is moving deliberately and he wasn’t being subtle about it either. In fact, you also see security moving towards him as he makes his way closer to the stage. For now you think he’s some kind of diehard fanboy or something. The cloak doesn’t make it less obvious. However it is when security reaches him does he flip out like a ninja and wipes the floor with their faces, literally, that you finally become concerned. Of course you don’t move to stop him as he starts getting dog-piled by more security but amidst the struggle you make out a gun-like object. Well it doesn’t look like what he’s doing in any way is good so you throw off his aim with your Ability. It also sends his weapon flying down the aisle and in to the crowd where it gets lost in the darkness. The intruder guy is slightly shocked but then the three band members throw themselves at him. Or rather at security as the four men make a break for it. Asuka is jumping out of her seat.“It seems that once again you are right Kyril,” she’s really giddy now, “These kinds of concerts really do have fights. I do wonder why I doubt you all the time now.”She sighs.“I wish I was down there when it happened though.”“I think I saw a gun,” was all you answer. With the interruption taking away three-fourths of the band, the concert is cancelled without much fanfare. The production does promise a refund though so all was not list. The time is now sunset, the weather is cooling and the date remains unchanged. With the concert being a bit of a bust you and Asuka find yourselves with nothing to do. However it was late enough that dinner sounds like a fine opportunity to make up for it. It wasn’t even past her curfew yet. Much to her confusion you order some takeout, Chinese to be specific, and lead her on to a corner of Academy City that Tadakuni, Sagara and yourself use to frequent. It’s the roof of an abandoned building that shows off the rest of the skyline to one side and the rolling hills on the other. Sure the view wasn’t completely unobstructed but it was the best you could do on short notice like this. The both of you have a seat by the ledge which still had rails so there wasn’t a huge risk in falling.“Well I do hope you enjoy the view,” you say.“There are many things I enjoy and I shall say that this is one of them,” she replies, “I am enjoying today very much.”Conversation is light as you finish your dinner off. However once you finish, Asuka seems troubled though before you could ask she speaks,“You know, I really don’t know what to do with you. You’re a nice guy without being a sycophant but a part of me keeps thinking that you’re only doing this because I could just make you do what I want. You know I’m not that popular at my school either.“And no, I am not interested in a relationship. They require compromise and I do not compromise. I am just a selfish, stubborn and violent girl so there’s not much for you to enjoy in my company. Today just feels like it is too good to be true.”She’s breaking down, tearing up and shaking. >>30533945Pay attention for once. I'm not advocating for metagaming.I'm saying that as we play from /tg/'s perspective we're in a state metagaming constantly in the sense that we know things "Like not stopping a shifty guy who comes out of a building" are really stupid ideas. So anyone saying that we should stop "metagaming" in favor of a a different option that they only know about through metagaming is idiotic and fucking unreasonable.
>>30534056Your position is stupid. Honestly, I can't really think of a good counter-argument, because it's just such a terrible position.
>>30534240That being a hypocrite is bad? How's that stupid?

>>30534368>Hey now lets just both agree that 4chan is fucking dumb when it comes to [s]quests[/s] anything.
>>30534269The only hypocritical party here is you. The playstyle that you're arguing for is the very definition of metagaming. You're then arguing that other people opposed your metagaming because they were metagaming about knowing what would happen. But you can't metagame metagaming.
>>30534240>Your position is stupid.>ad hominemCalling a position stupid is not a substitute for a valid counterargument, anon. You should have argued that metagaming is not an inherent state of affairs if /tg/ was actually roleplaying as Kyril, limited to his own knowledge of the situation. Thus, any attempt to metagame would be saying/doing/knowing things which Kyril, the student, would not be expected to know. He'd have to prove that Kyril would not do/say/know such things in order to argue that /tg/ is metagaming.>>30534396>4chan is fucking dumb
>>30534440>people is fucking dumb
>>30534416Now you're just spouting nonsense. And stop trying to mischaracterize my position,I alredy said I'm not advocating for metagaming. What I'm saying is that saying you shouldn't metagame and taking a different decision based solely on metagaming knowledge is also metagaming. So you're metagamin while complaining about metagamers, that's both hypocritical and idiotic.
>>30534113Not wanting to have the perfection of Izayoi grace this quest... do not be like this, anon. Well, jokes aside. I would like to see Asuka rejoin her friends. Because I think she is here, because she bad ended in the original Little Garden and ended here.
>>30534481>universe is fucking dumb
>>30534522THAT GUY IS FUCKING DUMBTHIS GUY IS FUCKING DUMBWE ARE ALL IS FUCKING DUMBno but pls Guys chill a decision was made now we live with it
Reassurance through physical contact is probably more effective than words. Or so you think, regardless, it works. She calms down a bit as slowly you feel her arms hugging you back as well. You give it a few minutes for her to compose yourself.“Stubborn Violent boy likes stubborn violent girl,” you say simply, “Doesn't sound outrageous to me and it’s not like you can’t check right?”You feel her head bob in your embrace. You’re not a therapist but you’re pretty sure she has some issues to deal with here. Well she doesn’t have to be alone in dealing with it anymore because you’ll be there for her. After agreeing that yes it was probably just some dust in your eyes, you gaze in to each other’s eyes as darkness finally falls. You both lean in closer. And you are of course interrupted. This time it is two gentlemen in black suits. They’re both foreigners of course.“Sorry to interrupt,” the white man says, “But I just want to say a few things before I be on my merry way.”He holds up an instrument that flashes once.“You didn’t see aliens attacking a concert and definitely did not have this conversation with us. Also use protection.”The time is now morning, the weather strangely warm and the date is now July 28.“Is that your gun or are just happy to see me?” Asuka is sitting next to you. You’re not sure what you did last night but you knew one thing. Aneue wasn’t going to like this.

>>30534500Can we be clear here on what constitutes metagaming:Metagaming is using out of character knowledge to make decisions in-character.Arguing that we are metagaming as an excuse to make a decision is by the above definition metagaming, as your choice is no longer determined by in-character knowledge.do you even formal logic?>>30534611>N^3

It's only if he started spouting him being suspicious of something other then being rude it would turn meta.

>>30534803It doesn't affect the story at all, stop complaining.
>>30534824The Neuralyzer doesn't knock people out where they were. >>30534870>Completely applicable with this situation and not contradictory to my point.Choosing not to pursue Sagara because it would be metagaming is not metagaming.

You are the Tokiwadai Dorm Supervisor and within this building your word is law. You could go so far as to say that YOU ARE THE LAW. The problem with looking after children with superpowers is that they tend to forget that. Worst of all is that the reason they forget is because you are an adult and have no Ability. Still it is not like you cannot dispense punishment upon those that break the rules and you dare say that you enjoy that part of the job too much than is called for.Shirai did it again. An infraction upon rule number nine, which is to say, she used her powers within the premises. She’s a repeat offender, especially since she’s in Judgement. Well you aren’t going to be lenient just because she may be part of the law. Here that means nothing to you. You will be hard but you will be fair. You are Judge, Jury and Executioner>Compare her excuses to young Kyril’s and how much they suck>Lecture her on Lawfulness and why you do not break THE RULES>You’ve had enough of her disingenuous excuses
>>30535285That second Yes is technically wrong. Even if we know OOC that something will happen if the guy we made would do that IC then it isn't meta. It's more if you bend the established traits that it turns meta. To me that is.

>>30535398I just jumped in her because Bitching about Metagaming is annoying me.
>>30535331>Compare her excuses to young Kyril’s and how much they suck>>30535339>If we made a choice not to stop Hatsuya because stopping him would have prevented a tragedy,That isn't what the question was though.>If we made a choice not to stop Hatsuya because stopping him would have prevented a tragedy,If te decision was based on our current reaction to a situation it's not meta, but if it was because we knew that it would effect a later event and acted to prevent interference to that event it's meta-gaming.>>30535356Not stopping him in this case is not necessarily meta. But if it is then opposing that because it's a meta-gamin decision is also meta-gaming.
>>30535331>YOU ARE THE LAWhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvJiYrRcfQo>Compare her excuses to young Kyril’s and how much they suckLAAAAAAAAW>>305353562deep4me
>>30535331>>You’ve had enough of her disingenuous excuses
>>30534579>Aneue wasn’t going to like this.God damn it as soon as I read this I had the mental image of him saying. "Don't worry I'll make sure to take responsibility."
>>30535493Remember, the MiB said:“You didn’t see aliens attacking a concert and definitely did not have this conversation with us. Also use protection.”Emphasis on the last part. This is just asking for Kyril to blurt out "But we used protection" at some point when questioned. This is going to be painful. Aneue is my sorta girl...
>>30535579>"But we used protection"Be even funner if he said it completely deadpan.
>>30535648>"YOU WHAT!">"I brought protection Aneue!" *takes out gun* "See? Nothing to worry about!"
>>30535687Perfect
>>30535687Oh god the clusterfuck that would cause is almost worth pulling out the gun. Almost.
>>30535687
>>30535331Do not do >>30535687!It is an excellent joke though.
Well instead of taking your usual route of simply lecturing her on THE RULES, you decide on comparing her excuses. After all, your previous lectures clearly did not stick and thus a different approach was needed. You think that she may be slightly philogynist with the way she aggressively pursues her beloved ‘older sister.’ Thus, to make it stick you have to make use of the naughtiest little brother you’ve never had as an example of why her excuses were pathetic. Kyril was using those excuses before he even entered middle school. The look on her face is priceless. If you had a camera you’d capture it to preserve it for future generations. Not as a warning or to display her shame, no, it was simply so that you may have a funny anecdote for your grandchildren to laugh about. That day is far away, you sigh inwardly as your arms wrap around Shirai’s neck and a small crack is heard. Shirai crumples.>Use her as an example for her enabler, The Railgun>Leave her be, you have more punishments to dispense
>>30535687I'm not sure that showing her a stolen gun would pacify her.
>>30535813Wasn't planning to, but I thank you for being of like mind.
>>30535822>Use her as an example for her enabler, The RailgunMore Pain for More Gain.
>>30535813I don't think anyone was serious about that. Though if we had a knife or something we could pull something like that. >>30535822>Leave her be, you have more punishments to dispense
>>30535822>Use her as an example for her enabler, The Railgunthis will be you Railgun, I WILL SLAP YOUR SHIT
>>30535822>Use her as an example for her enabler, The Railgun
>>30535687>"WHERE DID YOU GET THAT GUN!?!?! THE BLACK MARKET?!!?">"The black market? Oh no Aneue! Perish the thought! I know better than to deal with them! I stole it from the Anti skill!"
>>30535983We didn't actually steal it from Anti-Skill.A for Effort though.
>>30536005Right, forgot about Kiyama...So Kiyama owned it? Thought she stole it.
>>30535983>"I took it from some researcher threatening to kill me!"
>>30536045KYRIL, JUST STOP TALKING.
>>30536057"Good idea! I should stop before I blurt out how I promised to break into Kaiou University and steal research data to fulfill a debt that helped a magical illegal immigrant!"
Your voice is loud enough to carry through the building. It is noted that most of your charges pause as a low throaty enunciation of The Railgun’s name resounds through the hallways. You are not on a warpath. Not yet. Shirai’s roommate, The Railgun, may be her enabler in these infractions but The Railgun has yet to actually break a rule today. Her previous punishment was to clean the pool and thus should be enough to keep her subdued for a few days longer. You burst in to their room with Shirai over your shoulder like a sack of potatoes. The Railgun drops her reading material instantly. Her face is flush with dread at your disapproving gaze. Gently you set down Shirai and whisper in The Railgun’s ear to take care of herself. It is then that you leave, your soft spoken yet emphatic warning delivered. Somehow, something doesn’t feel right.>Where has all the time gone?>Someone is missing from their room perhaps?
>>30536093>to fulfill a debt that helped a magical illegal immigrant!"Actually, our debt was for something else. We didn't really get anything out of taking on this debt.Bored, how much of the LN have you read?
>>30536137>Where has all the time gone?
>>30536137>Someone is missing from their room perhaps?
>>30536137>Someone is missing from there room perhaps?
>>30536137>Someone is missing from their room perhaps?NO ONE ESCAPES THE EYES OF THE LAW!
>>30536179La Regina Del Mare Adriatico. Admittedly this was like a year or two ago. I'm rereading the Railgun manga the Index light novels as I go.I've also watched all the anime 'cept Endymion.
>>30536179we hooked up Touma with Nunotoba, who gave us brain data so the wizards would stop fighting and work together to save the headcrab nun. the Kaiou job is the price for her help.Am I mistaken in some way?
>>30536260We asked her about the nature of her work in relation to Kiyama's research.
>>30536260Nope, Touma has a separate favor. Our favor was for the solid link between Level Upper and the researcher.
>>30536260Actually the price for the brain data was a undisclosed future favor from Touma. We asked for help with Level Upper proxy data so we owe her the job for that.
Your predecessor has said many things about you, but your eerily accurate awareness of the presence of your charges is the one that stands out for them. You suspect someone, one of your charges, is not in her room as it should be. It is getting close to curfew and you are aware of who it is once you check the permission slips.Kudou.But even worse, she was off gallivanting with Kyril. You were not looking forward to your next meeting with them. You know it will happen and mostly likely in the following fashion.“But we used protection,” he would say.Your frown deepens.“You what?” you could hear your hypothetical self shout. It is then that he pulls a firearm from his jacket, “See? Nothing to worry about.”“Then perhaps you can enlighten me on how you acquired such an item. Not the blackmarket I hope.”“I took it from some researcher threatening to kill me!”Kudo would pipe in at this point and tell him to shut up.“Good idea! I should stop before I blurt out how I promised to break into Kaiou University and steal research data to fulfill a debt that helped a magical illegal immigrant!”By the time you are shaken out of your reverie you notice the time. You smile your usual smile. It’s time.Interlude complete. Twitter has details, I’m thinking Saturday.https://twitter.com/BoredofDirectorMagic side. We explore the Index. Dare you enter her magical realm? When writefag and /tg/ meet the story begins.I don’t need sleep tonight. Much. Ask away!
>>30536515>Dare you enter her magical realm?so Touma's head? maybe even the one above his shoulders?
>>30536515Mai ribs.
>>30536581Say what you will about /u/boats, I find /y/achts to be infinitely more entertaining.
>>30536515How did the MiB make it into AC without Crowley Blasting Rodding them to death? What exactly is Othinus's world-filter shit from NT9 going to do to the Earth on a galactic scale? Will the aliens be affected? If so, how are they going to react to their lawful tourists and visitors being magically assaulted by Othinus?
>>30536690They were conveyed through a gap in the punchline.

>>30536515Dammit OP. I just recovered from Blorp and now my sides have exploded again!
>>30536726>if I hide the rails in lelsofunnayandrandumb cameos, no one will notice the shitty writingHaving J and K talking to each other about aliens in the corner and having Kyril overhear them is one thing. Having them actually be MiB there to hunt aliens and actually fuck with the story is an entirely different ballgame.
>>30536857Man, just calm down, nothing really with the story has been affected, save a probably hilarious scene with Aneue, that's it.
>>30536726I suppose that's strike two then. I live in fear of your disapproval should I do something like this again.
>>30536939Fuck meant to quote >>30536857>>30536922No no, I've done it once with the chair already so I can see some parallels here. You'd think I'd be used to being a good and proper QM now.
>>30536922but muh agency! something happened that I didn't control or cause!also archived
>>30536970So, you oppose the existence of NPCs that act independently on their own agendas?
>>30537023I was using sarcasm anon.the last time I was in a quest and somebody bitched about railroading and agency we got total agency and ended up effectively killing the character's soul and completely changed her personality 180 degrees. the shitstorm over it was terrible
>>30537023Of course, all NPCs should ask the permission of the player before they do something that may impact the story!
>>30536857I honestly find it pretty damn hilarious. That and it's really damn retarded to use such basic trolling methods as the lol in front of things type. That is reddit tier retarded in general.Though if that actually for real happened instead of just being a spoiled joke for giggles then that's entirely different ballgame.
>>30537111Dare I ask which quest this was?
>>30537111See >>30537113 for why I stopped assuming sarcasm ever on /tg/.
>>30537136Sounds like Hollow Redux or whatever. Honestly, the biggest problem with that quest is definitely scale. As in, the QM doesn't have a sense of scale and basically everything is just numbers.
>>30537148I feel like I'm missing the point. Was that post not sarcastic? Because it sure as hell seemed like it was.
>>30537111Oh, yes I remember that one. I spent half the damn time I was on the thread Consoling and giving advice to the QM. Got to say he took it pretty well and really jumped up in my book due to how well he took the bitching and samefagging.
>>30537136Hollow Quest Redux. It's had a lot shitstorms before and Azure decided to do a "Jager in wonderland and regain control of her body" thread because an anon fessed up to samefagging seven votes. thread 51. still fucking painful.
>>30537161I never followed the quest (and don't plan to), what was wrong with it's scaling?
>>30537148It is sarcasm, unless you feel like you need something to rage over, then go a head and begin the flaming.
>>30537220It's full on shonen. There's the best guy ever, and then there's the even better guy, and the guy secretly better than him, and the mastermind better it all, and his boss. Also, the actually effects and abilities don't have any intrinsic value, so it's just grinding out until you have a bigger number than the next boss.
>>30537175But you'll never know if he was serious or sarcastic.>>30537215I shall learn from this. Good thing no one samefags in my threads! Right?
>>30537270I samefagged once when we were rolling and got a crit. I'm sorry Bored. ;_;>>30537260That describes every shonen I've ever watched pretty much perfectly. Wasn't this set in the Bleach universe, though? If I ran a One Piece quest or some shit I'd probably keep the "Yell at the enemy until he's dead" and the friendship parts intact, so maybe he was just trying to make it seem more like Bleach with the linear scaling?
>>30537260>BleachThat is honestly pretty accurate. Though the grinding thing is true. He does pretty good at making things amusing while you level grind at least!
>>30537220a question best left to qtg or Azure
>>30537270Alright, I will admit that it there has just been only me in here the entire time, pretending to be an entire group of people with varying opinions.
>>30537325>>30537327The shonen part wouldn't matter as much if it wasn't so obnoxious or if anything mattered at all beyond power level + X, but he does it poorly.
>>30537270>no one samefags in my threadsHahhahaha. Don't you know Bored? There is only two people playing this quest.
>>30537369>>30537341There's actually four people. You, me, Bored, and the guy who claims that he's the only one when there's actually three others
>>30537369So you were the other person in this thread.
>>30537354Oh, so there's never some bullshit keikaku that completely changes the fight, and it's just "I am 1 level above you, you have no fucking chance."?
>>30537341>>30537325>>30537369>>30537391I only have two words: Honour systemWell I suppose it can be "trust system" if you're British but I'm honestly not familiar with that phrasing.
>>30537391Alright, can we just all agree that we are just different personalities of Bored created because he doesnt want to face the fact that he has no readers.
>>30537418Aside from fellating Tetragrammaton like /tg/ likes to do, the MC was also a shapeshifting Lovecraftian terror, so it was really, really bad for that to happen.
>>30537484reality is just a ladybug's daydream anyway.
>>30537484Maybe it's just because he's bored of directors.
>>30537484Yes. Me and you buddy split personalities for life.>>30537418Just to jump in one cane use Bullshit Keikaku. Depending on what your fighting there is some foes that just one shot you if you fuck up enough. Most can be planned for though. Just if you fight the wrong being at the wrong time you're really going to get fucked up. That's just what I've seen though.
>>30537391You're wrong anon. We're all just chatbots linked to a script. We provide only the illusion of interaction, when in actuality we are all just randomly typing out phrases in response to the OP.
>>30537418I remembered getting keikued on at least 3 different things, 4 actually but that was more a misunderstanding then a plan
>>30537490>Not sucking Tetragrammatons massive godly dick.
>>30537498I've waited like twelve threads to make a joke involving my name but that's rather underwhelming.
>>30537594*see, not makeSleep deprivation is kicking in, I'm off to nap for 3 hours before I have to meet with a professor to discuss acquiring human test subjects.
>>30537594I thought so, too. I was seriously reconsidering it (and had begun working on the base of a more clever joke), but was interrupted by my bowels.
>>30537418We killed the soul king by sneaking in and shanking his weak spot for massive because direct confrontation would be suicide.I'd ask you to give the quest a look over in the archive but you have said you have no interest in following it.
