You shake your head. "No, after she wakes up I'll be heading back to school to where Makoto is."

"Is that so?" Rina sounded a bit surprised. "I see, then I won't have to drop off dinner there later." She breathes a sigh of relief. "I might be late today so don't wait up for me okay?"

It was odd, usually Rina tries to stay away from social functions because of her condition. What makes her want to particpate this time? "Is that so? I'll remember then."

"Thanks Akira." After you hang up you wait until Tsubasa wakes up. Sitting beside Tsubasa you try and take a nap while you wait for her to wake up.

Just then you hear shuffling on her bed. Immediately you open your eyes to see if Tsubasa has woken up, to your surprise however Tsubasa was in the exact same position as she was before. "How odd..." Once again you close your eyes and the moment you close them, the shuffling starts again.

This time when you take a look at Tsubasa she was slightly facing towards you. "Tsubasa?" You call out to her with no response. "Tsubasa are you awake?"

Once again Tsubasa doesn't respond. This time you pretend to start to nap but the moment you close your eyes you open them back again catching Tsubasa in the act. As your gaze meets with Tsubasa, she immediately starts to blush and slowly she lies back down again pretending to be asleep. "I-I'm still asleep Akira... you can't leave yet." It was clear Tsubasa was pretending to sleep so you would stay with her.

"Sorry Tsubasa, but I have to go okay?" You tell her. "I'll see you back later today so don't worry." As you try and leave Tsubasa sits up and watches you leave. Was that the same look she gave her mother when her mother left her?

Arriving late at school, your classmates start to tease you. "Eh?! How could the class representative be late?" You play along with their teasing to make it stop that much quicker.

As you take your seat a mutual friend of yours and Makoto walks up to you. "Yo Akira, you know school starts in the morning right? not at noon?"

"Tch..." You snap at him. "Even Shin is making fun of me huh? How low have I fallen?"

He snickers as you tell him off. "Hey Akira, have you heard what's been happening with Makoto?" He sounded concerned. "I don't know why but there have been rumors she has been fighting some delinquents at another school..."

Immediately you thought of Maro. "Goddamn that Maro..." You whisper under your breath. The real Makoto has always been gentle, Maro on the other hand is more of a loose cannon. "If I were you I would keep an eye out for Makoto..." His warning felt ominous.

"You will? Oh man... It's been such a long time since I walked home with you!" Makoto has always been simple. She seem to be happy just being with you.

Makoto started to look confused. "Did we?" She looks to you as a source of comfort.

"Hmm we did but you were tired so you might not remember it." Her single mother has always asked you to keep her split personality a secret and you have always honored her request.

Makoto looks a bit worried but since you were the one that said it, she believes you. "I see... let's go Akira."

"So how have you been Akira?" Makoto asks you while on your way to her house. "It feels like I haven't seen you in forever..." Although you just saw her yesterday, Makoto's personality has been slowly been overtaken by Maro for the past few months. The time you see Makoto has been shrinking ever so slightly.

"Eh? is that so?" Trying to calm her down, you pat her on her head. "I'm sure you have just been tired lately..."

She forces a smile. "I... I hope so." Fear could be seen in her eyes. "Hey Akira... can I tell you something odd?"

Today is the day... "Alright! You can do this Yumi!" Although a lot of people think that Nozoki is just another playboy, you know him better. "I hope... I hope he says yes!" A determined look stares back at you in the mirror. For the longest time you have had a crush on Nozoki. For 2 years now you have harbored unrequited love towards him.

Today, however, it all changes. Today you will confess to him!. You put on your usual ribbons. Then you change into your uniform. You were all ready for school when suddenly your mother calls you.

"Yumi-chan! Come down here! I want you to meet somebody."

"Yes! I'm coming mother." Who could your mother's guest be so early in the morning? Going downstairs you see a tall man beside your mother. You have always been on the shorter side so most people are taller than you... but this guy was even taller than Nozoki.

"Hello, my name is Ryuuji." He tells you in a deep voice. "Nice to meet you again Yumi-chan" After his introduction he bows.

"Hi, although I think this is the first time I've met you." You smile back at him. Turning to your mother you ask her who he was.

Your mother, without batting an eyelast or any sign of lying, tells it to you straight. "He is your fiancé! you were engaged when you were still children by grandfather, he came here to live with us from now on, can you show him around town?"

"I see." You try and take it as calmly as possible. It was an obvious joke and prank by your mother. Looking at the time you were already late for school. However since your mother was the one that volunteered you to tour Ryuuji, she shouldn't be upset that you will be skipping school. "I'll take you around town Ryuuji."

Although Ryuuji tries to keep his excitement inside he was easy to read. He was almost like an excited puppy. "Really? you would?" He says calmly. "I'll just drop off my things at my room.

"Ah! you can sleep with Anon-chan in her bedroom!" Your mother tells him. "You two are engaged anyways so there's no point in being prude about it."

You felt shock. How can your mother just make a guy and a girl your age share a bedroom? Even Ryuuji had a look of shock on his face.

"You know what, sure..." You call your mother's bluff. "I'll help you take your stuff upstairs okay Ryuuji?"

Your mother smiles as she wishes you good luck. Turning to Ryuuji she wishes him goodluck. "Goodluck with my daughter Ryuuji!"

Ryuuji starts to get overwhelmed. It immediately becomes clear that Ryuuji is not used to interacting with different people. "T-Thanks mother... I will make sure to take care of her."

"I'm so sorry that she isn't as beautiful as you might've imagined her to be..." Your mother starts listing off flaws that you had, one by one to your frustration. "She is short, her chest is flat... if she had a shorter hair you would even probably mistake her for a boy!"

"Mom!" You protest. "Stop it!"

Ryuuji on the other hand just says. "It's okay mother... I find Anon cute in her own way."

Your heart races as you felt yourself blush. It was the first time a boy has ever called you cute. "E-Enough!" You manage to squeak out. You take his bag and you try and carry it upstairs but it was too heavy. "I-It's too heavy!" You groan out as you try and lift it.

"It's okay Anon-chan... let me help you." As he grabs his bag, for a moment, your hands touch. You immediately pull it back as your cheeks start to glow crimson. After you show him to the room you will be sharing, he drops off his bag and the two of you go out for a tour of the city.

You have never been good at starting and keeping a conversation going. When paired with a guy like Ryuuji the awkward silence becomes even worse. "Hmmm Ryuuji." You call out to him.

Almost immediately he turns to you with puppy like eyes and says. "Yes Anon-chan?" You could tell even he was nervous trying to figure out how to start the conversation.
