It's early in the morning at the Shinto shrine on the outskirts of town, where you spent the night under the care of the two shrine maidens, one of which is in the kitchen with you, watching an old television in the corner. The reporter on-screen continues to talk about the sudden tremor that struck. Superficially, there wasn't a whole lot of damage, but it was unexpected enough to have put people in a panic. You have your doubts though. You can't put your finger on what it is, but something about the shots of the building feel *off* to you. Yasuka Umeki, one of the shrine maidens, seems to share the notion.

"Could that be another..." Umeki ponders, her voice trailing into silence as she watches the program.

""Maybe," you reply, "but we can't be sure. If that is the work of a magical girl, I might have a hunch who it could be." You continue, standing up from the table. Your assurance catches her off-guard.

"So soon? Wow, you're good at this." You hear her remark, and can't help but feel a little proud of your detective work. Shimada Hiroko is your suspect, going off of the fact that you and Shun managed to pin her down as a source of magical energy. You may have the advantage here by knowing her real identity, so maybe this one you can play safely. Regardless, that's in the future. You should focus on the right now.

You're currently in the kitchen on the shinto shrine lot. Umeki is nearby. It is early morning, and you have school soon.

Before anything else, you call Kaa-san to make sure she knows you're heading straight to school. You came here from school yesterday, so you still have all of what you need for the day, even if you have to re-wear your uniform two days in a row. At least it looks the same.

"I see," you can hear Hana reply on the other end of the line, "Well just be careful, Makoto. There might be aftershocks." She seems to have bought the news' explanation for the damage. "If they damage a graveyard then all the ghosts will rise, so you need to be on the lookout."

You can't tell when she's being serious or not, so you just say goodbye and hang up. It's a fair distance to school, so maybe Umeki can help you. You turn and ask if she has a bike that you could use. She nods.

"Of course, just wait here." She leaves the room and returns in a few minutes, wheeling a large bike in front of the sliding door. It's a little intimidating to you; the thing looks like a mountain bike. Which you suppose makes sense, considering the mountainous terrain around the shrine. Still, you should thank her for the bike.

You grab your bag and slide the door behind you, and the two of you head to the gate with the bike. Momoko probably wanted to see you off, but Umeki seems a little embarrassed by how much she can sleep in when she stays up late. When you reach the gate, you turn to her.

"Thanks, Umeki-chan!" You say, and go in for a hug. She seems a little alarmed, and you can see her blink rapidly, but she quickly returns the hug by embracing you too. It seems when skinship is platonic, she's far more comfortable with displays of affection.

"It's fine, just bring it back next time you're here." She tells you as you struggle onto the bike. You grunt and flail a bit, pulling yourself up. It's so freaking tall you can barely manage. You glance at Umeki, wondering how she deals with it, and realise she actually has pretty long legs. She might even be able to give Shun a run for her money in a race. You wave goodbye and head off to school, hoping not to crash.

You manage to make it to school, barely, and head up through the school gates to lock up the bike before going inside. As you enter your home-room, you feel a nervous twinge and quickly glance around. You're fairly certain Saito is still gunning for you, but he doesn't seem to be around right now, which is a relief. Shun is in the back of the class, messing with some kind of paper football game rather than doing work. She seems to be enjoying it though. You seat yourself and listen to the lesson.

It's over pretty quickly and you're let out for lunch. Your next session is continued swim class. How do you want to spend this period?

You've been doing nothing but mess around and deal with magical girl problems that you decide to catch up on studying today. It'll be bad if you fall behind on your grades, even if you are defending the city. You ask Shun is she wants to study.

"Of course! I've been meaning to get around to this eventually." She's not too keen on the work itself but she's glad to be hanging out with you. "I wonder if Yui has trouble with school-work? I mean, she's always doing that council stuff, but I hear she's pretty good at her grades." Shun chatters, opening her book and spinning a pen in her fingers. You grimace a bit at the mention of her, thinking back to the outburst yesterday. You check your phone but she hasn't responded yet, though you have seen her in the school, so she's not missing at least. You sigh and put your phone away, catching a glimpse of Shun staring at your expression.

"Ah, yeah, lets get to it."

After a few minutes of going over the content, you're in despair for realising how much of it you have trouble with, and Shun doesn't have much more of a grasp of it than you do. You sigh, and wish your magical powers came with super intelligence. Despite these setbacks, the study session really helps, and you both learn a fair bit. You put all your things away and start to get ready for swimming up next. Shun stretches out on the chair.

"Hey... is Yui okay? She seems like she was avoiding people in the halls rather than... y'know, groping them." She says, glancing away at the last part of her question.

But so long as it remains unbroken, you can persevere through anything. We all have rough spots, but I like to think you come out stronger on the other side. Really, you should try acting more like a girl if you want to understand them better." She suggests with a coy smirk. You have your doubts about the purity of that smile; she seems far *too* into the idea, and you're not fond of changing your mind. Still, she twirls around and continues her speech.

"I have trouble even imagining you being mean on purpose, so don't beat yourself up over it. Whatever she's feeling is her own business." You have trouble believing that after hearing what Yui as Strict had to say, especially the animosity she had to Shun.

"So buck up because," in one fluid motion, she snaps her fingers and gives you a thumbs up, "It'll be super fine!"

You blink. "What?"

"Super fine. It's like twice as fine as fine." She explains. You still have no idea what she's saying, but you'll take the advice.

"I hope you're right." You say, rising to your feet and regaining your smile. She copies the expression, and turns around to stride out the door.

Minabuchi is also nearby, acting as lifeguard. You and Shun walk along the edge, but you quickly duck behind her when you see a familiar head of blue hair. Shun looks at you trying to mimic her shape to avoid being seen.

"What's with you?" She chuckles. You point over at Saito on the other side of the area and Shun realises the issue. "Oh, gotcha. The guy who wants to beat you up... slash, get with you?" She smiles akwardly.. You sigh, recalling that he met 'Minako' your girl form here yesterday. You wonder what sort of excuse he has now. Shun gets you in a headlock.

"Aren't you popular? Want me to get rid of him, or at least act as a distraction?" She offers with a smile. "You can pay me back later~" She bats her eyelids at you.

"Don't worry about it," you tell her, walking over to the changing rooms. You figure he's not going to start anything right now. If he wanted a fight, he probably would've sought you out earlier. Shun shrugs and follows you over. From the corner of your eye, you see him glance at you, but he doesn't seem to give you much thought. Looks like your hunch was right. That concern down, you head into the building and change into your Sukumizu. It remains a tight fit.

It might not be the best idea to approach Shimada directly. You could trigger her accidentally, but also she believes you're Minako, so that might be a little bizzare for her to see you like this. You decide to go talk to Minabuchi instead, the head of the swim club. Dressed in a swimsuit, shite jacket, sunglasses and a hat, she's currently sitting on the lifeguard tower, making sure everyone is safe. Or so you think, she's mainly yelling at people to swim faster and exercise more. Not one for slackers, it seems.

"Hey Minabuchi." You call out. She glances down, shielding her eyes from the sun with a hand.

"Kiryoka. Good to see you on time. How's Shimada's swimming?" She asks, looking over the pool, giving you little notice. You glance over at Shimada and see her paddling around on her board, managing somewhat fine on her own. She doesn't seem to lack technique, more just confidence, but she seems to much more dedicated today.

"She looks good. Whatever you did, it worked." She compliments, giving you a smile. You smile yourself and look over the pool area again. Saito seems to already have left, so that's a relief from your mind, and Shun is coming over to you.

"Hey Makoto, wanna race? I won against most of these people last time, but I wanna see how fast you can go in the water." You doubt you'll be able to catch up to her, but it could be fun.

"I'll get in on this." You hear Mina add in. "You're lucky I was umpire otherwise you wouldn't be so cocky." She smirks underneath thick sunglasses. Shun pouts.

She walks to the edge of the pool, on the deeper side, and yells, "GET OUTTA THERE!" which is enough for people to shy away from that end. Shun nods at her methods and the three of you take your positions on the side. Again, you hear 'three girl race' and angrily blush but you can't fault people considering the swimsuit you're wearing. At least there's more people arguing about whether you are or not, which is a relief(?) you suppose.

"Go!" He swings an arm and the three of you kick off. All three of you are surprisingly fast in the water, even Makoto, and you're all generally keeping pace. You continue your stroke, making it to the end and kick off back the other direction. Mina looks to be in the lead from what you can see, but you might actually be ahead of Shun. She has upper body strength, but it looks like her kicking is a little left to be desired. You keep swimming, passing at least two laps before your strength starts to fail you. Your arms burn and feel fatigued, and you cough up some water on your last run, and Shun pushes past you with superior stamina.

As expected, you end up finishing last, though not by nearly as much as you feared. Mina won easily, and you can hear Shun grinding her teeth at the loss. You're still trying to catch your breath. Mina flips her sunglasses back on and holds her head up high.

"That's how it's done. But kudos on managing to keep up." She states, pulling herself up out of the pool, wet skin glistening in the sun. You can hear some hoots and hollers, which she revels in for a moment, before returning to her stern attitude and yelling at the cat-callers. Shun sits with her mouth submerged and blows some bubbles sadly.

"Maaan, how does she move that fast." You shake your head, unable to fathom it either. You glance at the rest of the pool and see other people starting some races on the other side, pushing people from there over to your side. Shimada seems to be coming over but hasn't noticed you. The pool seems big enough that you can ignore her if you wanted to. Besides, Shun depressed is pretty cute to your eyes.

"Haa, I might just go sunbathe." She suggests, holding her head back up.

You nod to Shun and give her a quick hug, which she quickly returns, squeezing you and lifting you up a bit.

"Ah, but you did really good too!" She says, embracing you. Her skin is moist and smooth, and you find yourself embracing her wet body firmly before she releases you and hops out of the pool, and you watch her go from the back. This club was a gooood idea. Shun dealt with, you turn your attention towards Shimada. It might be a bit of a risk to you, but it's the best option when dealing with her, you hold your breath and swim as far down to the bottom of the deep end as you can.

Once at the bottom, you hold a hand to your neck, feeling the choker around it and you pulse with energy. From the top of the pool, most people don't notice anything, given the shine of the chaotic water is indistinguishable from your light, and you resurface completely incognito. Thank god for a lack of situational awareness in your classmates. You glance down and cough for a second as you see your own wet cleavage. You'll never get used to that.

Shimada is managing to swim fine, albeit with your board, and you head over. She looks up at you and a bright, excited look plasters her face.

"Minako! I didn't think you came today. There was a big race earlier, you just missed it." She comments, sitting up on her board.

You lean in closer as Shimada draws near. "Uh, yes, but why should I?" You ask. She gives another glance around. It occurs to you, this close up, that she might be a better swimmer if she opted for contacts instead, since she seems reluctant to dunk her head.

"B-Because..." She pokes her two index fingers together sheepishly, trying to find the words. Her cheeks puff and she glances at you, studying your face. "I-it might freak some people out. B-But not you, right senapi?" She asks, determination in her eyes. You hadn't noticed it, but your coaching may have made her look up to you, despite being in the same grade.

You give a smile. "Of course not." She smiles and stares down at the water.

"I... I can do this." She holds her hand out towards you, shielding it from prying eyes and you stare at it. Before your eyes, her hand loses all of its fleshy colouration and becomes translucent, fluid-like in appearance. You blink in astonishment. Despite your familiarity with magic, it still surprises you to see her skin take on a semi-fluid like appearance, like water or some sort of goop.

"I-It only started recently, and I-I thought it'd go away, or that I should stay around water so I don't dry out or something." She babbles, rubbing her hands together. Or attempting to, at least, they end up going through one another. She glances up at you, seeing your baffled expression. She grabs her arm with one hand and seems to grip it tightly, focusing on the fluid arm, which slowly regains colour and solidity. With her hand back, she buries her face in them.

Not that you want to encourage her messing with powers neither of you understand nor know the extent of, but being positive to her regarding this might be a better option than dismissive. At least you hope so. Your wring your hands and look as excited as you can, flashing your eyes wide.

"Shimada, that's so cool!" You exclaim to her. She jerks back, making sure she heard you right.

I only do it to myself when I'm alone though, since it gets everything wet." You nod your head and glance at someone passing by in the pool, wide-eyed at your discussion. He doesn't seem freaked out, just weirdly tittering to himself. You figure this 'building feeling' is probably the transformation, but she's claiming to have never actually performed it. If she did attack that building, your recent encounters suggest she'd remember something about it. Is she lying, or were you wrong about how this works, you wonder.

"Senpai," Shimada asks, and you break out of your trance. "Do you think you could help me with this later? I don't know who else to ask." She doesn't seem to realise the danger, at least, but it could be an act. Your foes have been a little tricky.

It takes you a second to realise why that guy was laughing now, Shimada doesn't seem to notice and just celebrates.

I tend to overthink things but it's still an interesting question. How far would you take it if you were a trap? Androgyny is an interesting concept. Do you really want the "straight" people to lust after you as a male? As a being that can become a true female despite the fact you really are a male, do you really want to confuse everyone?

Asking her right now might be risky without anyone to back you up, so you decide to let her go for now.

"I'm going to stay in for a bit longer, but you let me know when you feel like messing with your powers." You tell Shimada. She, encouraged by your positivity, nods and heads towards the edge of the pool. You give a sigh, relieved to be on your own and dive down again. With even less people in the pool now, you change back easily, and you're in your male form once more. The lack of wet breasts at your leisure is a little depressing though. You also opt to wait until Shimada leaves for the showers to resurface, lest she catch you and make a connection.

You hop out of the pool and start walking over to the changing rooms when Shun catches you.

"Hey, you managed to change back today." She remarks, a little disappointed. Still, it seems even she still likes seeing you in your male body, and you feel her grope you a little from behind, which makes you jump. She giggles and claps her hands together. "Sorry, you were just so cute like that~" You blush at her and she gives you a hug, regardless of who may be watching before heading to the showers. You smile and head for yours.

Almost immediately after coming into the male showers, you get a torrent of surprised alarms from the guys in there. It takes some of them a solid minute to realise who you are, and you think that even then some of them are still confused. You grumble and head for a stall, grabbing your clothes as you do. Setting them down and washing off, you clean up fairly quickly and look around. There's little privacy here; probably part of the 'we're all guys here' mentality. You sigh and pick up your clothes. You immediately put them down, your face burning crimson as you remember something about yesterday. You didn't have the time to go home and change, so you still have your clothes from yesterday.

The only underwear you have are Yui's lacy gifts. This was a bad idea...
