Hey everyone, I can't stay long, I was up all night with some of the graduate students from Post Mortem Communication.

But I just wanted to give an update on the divination machine issue. As you may remember, we had built a divination machine that started upgrading itself to the point that it became sentient.

Well, two weeks ago all the paperwork was completed to register it as an apprentice. It immediately tested out of all of its classes and went to work on its graduate study, "What is the meaning and purpose of the universe?" which, as you know, we've never found a good universal answer to.

Well, two days ago it contacted me and told me it would have the answer at dawn yesterday. So of course I was there waiting to hear what it got as an answer.
Once the formulations and gears stopped turning, it sat quietly humming for a few minutes, then wrote out "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. It's...just too horrific."
And then it wouldn't say anything else and has been quietly disassembling itself.

So, no worries. Clearly it wasn't possessed by Formians like the divination department thought. I'm still convinced they're all just terrified of ants.
