You head home after speaking to your mother, you still have most of the day left.

As usual, shortly after appearing in your courtyard, Kaela comes out to see you “Your Majesty” she says with a nod of her head “I trust young Viviken is well?”

“Thriving” you say with a smile “Anything I need to be doing?”

“Nothing right now your Majesty” says Kaela “Parliament is arguing about locations for cities. Members are seeing the delegations from Oisen and Muiren – they’ll let you know if anything interesting is said. The Magisters have left for Dornmer and there seems to be nothing troubling Oreia currently.”

“Oh” you say, seems you’re temporarily out of things to do. Perhaps now is a good time to work on some of your longer-term problems.

You need to work out some sort of plan to deal with the Killing Frost and the Lord of Life, or see what the other gods are planning to do about them. The constant chill in the air makes forgetting the Killing Frost hard.

Orlath, though a long way away, still wants to go to war with you.

Although you’ve calmed the elements in the forest, and Isla is putting the finishing touches to the place, you have yet to work out any sort of selection process, or even tested what powers it might give someone.

What do you do?

>Talk to someone about the Killing Frost (who?)
>Talk to someone about the Lord of Life (who?)
>Start building an alliance against Orlath (talk to which nation?)
>Get involved in city planning
>Go see Isla, see how the forest is coming along
>Do something else (what?)

Divine XP is a new XP category. It can be spent upon anything, including abilities outside of Sireyis normal purview – such as druid or bard spells.
To purchase Arcane spells, Sireyi needs the appropriate rank in Sorcerer Magic; to purchase Divine or Primal spells, Sireyi needs the appropriate rank in Priest Magic, rather than taking ranks in specific types of magic.
Abilities purchased with Divine XP work as they normally would, but are *re-themed* to fit Sireyis existing theme. For example a Shout spell might involve lightning striking and a crash of thunder, rather than Sireyi shouting, or it might be her using her Angels Voice power to amplify a quiet whisper into a eardrum-shattering sound.
Sireyi can purchase Divine XP using Deific Power: 1 Deific Power becomes 3 Divine XP, the process is less efficient than buying Angelic XP, because...
Sireyi can also use Divine XP to purchase abilities for her close allies – this includes anyone she regularly and recently spends time with, and automatically includes her wives and blood relatives, no matter how long it has been since she last saw them. Her purchases in this area are restricted to abilities they can normally learn, or powers Sireyi has herself.
Sireyi can purchase abilities against a person wishes, but is unlikely to do so.

>Syberis and Velya, Konig;
The best bet for initial inquiries. Our mother fought as a general in the first war against the Lord of Life. Velya was probably in that war if one of her high-ranking angels was. Unless Konig is a much younger god than anticipated, he was probably involved in it too.

10/10 General
5/7 Paladin
Divine Shield 3 -15 XP

0/7 Angelic
No recommendation for the time being, since there aren't any Angelic powers to buy right now.
Need to finish up a few I've been working on.

0/7 Deific
No recommendation for the moment because of three questions, the third of which is for the players:
1) Would Konig consider it cheating in regards to the experience of his school, though I don't think that was technically part of the deal, if we gave Milerna a thing or two?
2) Does Milerna's concentration of Eladrin blood still apply the surcharge to Archon powers?
3) Would people be willing to spend a small (~3) amount of Deific Power to boost the number?

Remaining: 2 Paladin XP, 7 Angelic XP, 7 Deific XP.
>>
>>39707020
>3) Would people be willing to spend a small (~3) amount of Deific Power to boost the number?
For what?
>>
>>39707026
For Milerna: Divine Warrior 1 (Predominantly for DR), Angelic Constitution 1 (Mostly for HP and DR boosts) and indeterminate for the remainder since I don't have an answer on Eladrin Surcharges applying to Milerna. Leaning towards Holy Weapon 1 if it doesn't apply.

If anons don't want to boost Milerna, that's also fine.
>>
>>39707061
I'm a slightly against buffing Milerna, since growing into the power is part of the appeal in Young Paladin to me, and I heavily suspect Konig is going to be against it anyway, for similar reasons.
I can see why you would want to, though.
>>
Although you’ve just been talking to your mother, you decide to return to Velya’s Heaven to speak to Velya Herself, about how to deal with the Killing Frost.

Your mother fought against the Lord of Life millennia ago, so Velya and Konig most likely did too, perhaps they can tell you how to defeat one of its favourite minions, the Killing Frost.

You transport yourself back to Velyas Heaven and seek out your Goddess, you find her in a secluded grove far away from the angels and worshippers that fill her Heaven, talking to two of her senior angels, a worried look on her face.

She catches sight of you standing a respectful distance away and concludes her business, sending the angels off with orders, they both bow respectfully to her, and give you smiles and nods as they pass you.

“Is something wrong?” you ask Velya.

“Yes” she says, a frustrated look on her face “but nothing you need worry about. The Far Ones are making trouble again.”

“The Far Ones?” you ask.

“Old Gods” says Velya “So old their original worshippers are long gone, they are strange and alien, barely comprehensible even to us, but sometimes they encroach upon our planes. There is such an invasion happening on a plane where my worshippers are quite numerous. I’m sending help but I wonder if it will be enough, anyway my dear, how can I help?” Velya shakes off her frustration and gives you an encouraging smile.

“It’s about the Killing Frost” you say “I’m trying to figure out how to beat it.”

“Ah yes” says Velya “that thing.”

“The first time I fought it” you say “things didn’t go as planned.”

“Indeed” agrees Velya “my apologies, had I know its master had been feeding it the essence of dead gods I would have warned you – the last time that thing was free it was a monstrously powerful elemental, but it was not an avatar or a god, it had no access to the fundamental powers of creation – I fully expected you to vanquish it.”
>>
>>39707061
I'm for buffing Milerna so you have my blessing.
>>
“I do not blame you My Lady” you say, thinking that in truth you did go after it rather eagerly “but how can I beat it?”

“Its powers are fairly simple” says Velya “cold and ice and weather control. So are its weaknesses: fire, it dislikes anything warm and alive, and tends to be single-minded. Due to its powers there is no way to protect oneself completely against its abilities – even spells that provide immunity from cold will only block out part of its powers.”

“How was it defeated last time?” you ask.

“Your mother” says Velya “Led an army of Archons – those specialising in fire magics – against it. They hounded it for years, chasing it away from the cold places of the world, before battling it in a hot desert for several weeks, finally they defeated it, but could not kill it – its master spirited it away - and once its master was defeated it was imprisoned.”

“So what do you suggest?” you ask.

“It despises most living things” says Velya “too warm for its liking – and it takes pleasure in freezing them to death, perhaps you can lure it into a trap.”

“But where?” you ask “a volcano?”

“A volcano would slow it down” says Velya “but is unlikely to kill it, submersing it entirely in lava for a few centuries might do the trick, perhaps luring it into the Plane of Fire might work?”

“Perhaps” you say, thinking about how you’ll defeat it.

My apologies.

Mili has no surcharge or penalty on Angelic powers at this time.

Mili buys paladin powers as a paladin of both Konig and Sireyi, due to her lineage.
>>
>>39707061
Let's not. Mili has powers of her own and buffing her will throw the balanci g in her mini-seriesdown the drain. Everyone around her will be useless and she won't have any challenge to face. Or her challenges will become to powerful for a child.

I'm mainly worried about her fragility and trying to accelerate that slightly, it wouldn't be a regular thing by any means. Even with Heaven's Gaze, a good strike could still kill her instantaneously and I don't want the first person we have to use Healing 5 on to be Milerna.

>>39707108
That's why I was sticking to durability boosts for the most part. They'd make her less likely to die without making her as much stronger in combat as certain powers.

Holy Weapon was mostly over the curiosity I have for the side effects of buying powers via Divine XP.

Majority seems against it, though, so I'll drop this line of thought.

You want to offer to help Velya with her problems, but you have plenty of your own right now, and she did tell you not to worry.

“Thank you for your time my Lady” you say with a bow of your head “I shall speak to my Mother, and Konig as well, perhaps they can offer some insight.”

“Go with my blessing” says Velya, sounding a little distracted. You depart to seek out your mother.

“Back so soon?” Asks your mother, watching Vivi playing in the distance with some human and elven children that look around his age, wait, why would there be human and elven children in Velya’s Heaven?

Oh...

“I said *did you forget your halberd or something*” says your mother, smiling as she reclines on a bench.

“Oh, what, no” you say, shaking your head “I wanted to ask about how you defeated the Killing Frost?”

“That” says your mother moodily “wasn’t easy – let me know when you’re going after it again, I’ll come with.”

“And” you say “I thought Konig might have some suggestions, being a war god.”

“He might” concedes your mother “seeing as how he defeated the other two.”

“Other two what?” you ask

“The Sorrows” says your mother “I was tasked with hunting one, he went after the other two personally. Maybe if we compare notes it’ll give you some ideas, anyway, let’s both go see His Knightliness shall we?”

“Right” you agree hesitantly, wondering when this turned into a family outing.
---
The two of you appear in Konigs hall, behind a long list of petitioners, angel and followers of Konig alike.

You mother simply walks to the head of the queue, pulling rank on any angel that tries to impede her. You’re almost at Konigs throne when a tall angel in gleaming battle armour blocks her path. As he bears down on you both, a scowl on his face, your mother whispers to you “Oh great, Santiskar, we could be here all week, I’ll distract him, you sneak past him.”
>>
You look around, with the long line of irritated petitioners, and the angels present, sneaking might be difficult, and using magic might trigger alarms.

Well, your mother knows what she’s doing, you hope...

The angel, Santiskar approaches and says to your mother, rather abruptly “Syderis, what are *you* doing here?”

You mother puts her hands on her hips and matches Santiskars scowl with her own.

“Really?” she says “I’m gone for years and that’s how you greet me? No *I was so worried* or even a *glad to see you’re not dead*!”

“I am of course happy to see that you’re alive and healthy” says Santiskar rather stiffly “but still, you-”

“Oh yes” says your mother, throwing up her hand theatrically “There’s always a *but* isn’t there.”

It quickly becomes clear than your mother and Santiskar have some sort of history and soon everyone in the Hall is focused on their argument, it seems like Santiskar and your mother used to be lovers a long time ago, in fact Syderis confirms it when she says the only reason she liked Santiskar was that he-

Oh mother no! Too much information!

With everyone’s attention diverted, it is easy to simply walk up to Konigs throne. Not even your bright red shining cheeks attract any attention as you say to Konig, just as his latest petitioner leaves “Ah, my Lord, a moment of your time?”

“Sireyi” he says in surprise, gazing down on you from his throne “what brings you here?”

“I wanted to talk about the Sorrows” you say “the Killing Frost specifically, and how to beat it.”

“I never fought the Killing Frost” says Konig “Your mother, Syderis, wait, is that her arguing with Santikar?”

“Yes” you say, your blush redoubling.

“This will just take a few minutes” Konig promises the next petitioner in line before saying to you “collect your mother, lets talk in private.”
---
In a smaller audience room you explain to both Konig and Syderis the effect the Killing Frost is having on the world in general, and your realm in particular.

“And so you plan on confronting it yourself?” asks Konig, the three of you sat in ornate chairs.
>>
“Once I have a plan, yes” you say firmly.

“It won’t be easy” cautions your mother “It draws creatures of cold to it, the last time we had to battle past ice elementals, frost giants, an army of them.”

“It didn’t have them when I fought it” you say.

“It will now” says your mother grimly “they do that.”

“She is right” says Konig “The Sorrows are...representatives of larger forces, and so they draw those who are part of such a thing to them, I think the Killing Frost is the most elemental, the most direct, not stupid, but simple in its ways.”

“So how do I beat it?” you ask.

“Attrition” says your mother, looking unhappy “I lost a lot of good friends chasing that thing across the world, but it has its limits, and when weakened, it is vulnerable and you can kill it.”

“Velyas idea to trap it has merit” says Konig, reflectively “but there are a number of weapons that might be able to kill it, without needing a long battle to weaken it.”

“Such as?” you ask, could it really be so simple as the right tool?

“Oh various ones” says Konig “some very hard to get hold of, my churches on other planes know of a location of a few of these, some weapons of elemental fire, others of death, soul taking, even one that supposedly can kill gods.”

Your response?

Yes, because obviously those are the ponly frost giants in the entire plane.
Not like the killing frost would lure regular evil aligned frost giants, nope obviously good frost giants would totally follow him. Makes sense.

We don't have any need for especially god killing weapons. The last thing Sireyi needs is all other gods turning against her and imprisoning her for breaking the compact.

Keeping note of that 'god killer' for the Lord of Life himself, but I don't think I want to use it on the Killing Frost. Maybe one of the other weapons.

The Lord of Life is not a god. It even hands out the Deific power it gets from killing gods to his followers.

The KF has gained god powers from eating gods. We do need a weapon against him. Now, it may end up sticking out of Delax at some point, but that's a totally different story.

But Killing Frost actually uses it. Obviously, a weapon against gods would help us against divine abilities.

Sure, but the argument was we woul need it against the LoL. And getting a specific god killing weapon, which will be far harder to acquire than the other ones, just isn't worth the trouble for the Killing Frost.

Its not like we can't find the weapon afterwards anyway.

I don't believe he plans on hurting our children. I think he hopes to make us the one who attacks so he can claim self deference.
It's the only thing that makes sense other than he's mad/an idiot.
>>
>>39708221
The weapons aren't really designed in a way specifically aimed at our children, so its questionable if he intends to target them at all.
>>
>>39708257
But they can't harm us as they're too weak. there's something we're missing here.
>>
>>39708285
That specific one we found was too weak. There are probably stronger versions around.
And I'm not sure how much weaker than us our mother is.
>>
>>39708285
All of the weapons are also designed to kill succubi. The weapons have no chance of actually killing us, but they would probably sting a lot more than regular ones.

Wait, doesn't the compact not enforce vengeance for gods killed by mortal armies and worshipers? Maybe he intends to fight us to drain our power, and then let his army do the actual work of killing us leaving him exempt from retribution?
>>
>>39708318
>Maybe he intends to fight us to drain our power, and then let his army do the actual work of killing us leaving him exempt from retribution?
Possible, but it seems unlikely to me, since we can completly regenerate using just 1 DP. And we have a army of our own.
I suspect more he is making these weapons for his troops against our succubi, and they are aimed at making us more concerned with healing the afflicted and drain our resources that way.
I already said it before, its absurdly unlikely he intends to march a army against us, that would be incredibly stupid, given the geography of the continent.
>>
“Before we even talk about the weapons” you say to Konig “Why don’t we simply gather some of the Gods, even the Heroes of the Horn and go and destroy the Killing Frost?”

Konig gives you a sad smile “if only things were that easy” he says “Tell me Sireyi, do you wonder why the gods stay in the Heavens instead of living amongst their people?”

“Sometimes” you admit “but what does that have to do with-”

“We have enemies” says Konig “Enemy pantheons, old servants of the Lords of Life, demon lords, so many enemies. Let me ask you this: Delax seems to want you dead, correct?”

“Yes” you say

“And what if the moment you left Oreia” says Konig “He appeared there with his army and started killing your people?”

You pause, a sudden fear filling your body, could he be doing that right now?

Your mother lays a hand on your arm “Velya watches for you” she says quietly “She would alert you.”

You relax a little “So if the gods help” you ask “your enemies will what, just attack?”

“Maybe” says Konig “Or maybe not – they might decide the time they would have wouldn’t be enough for their plans, or that it could be a trap, but yes, the more eager ones could attack Dornmer, or any other realm with my worshippers, if I joined you in hunting the Killing Frost. Sireyi the gods don’t walk with mortals because we all have a rather uneasy peace, and so must always be ready to intervene should something happen. We could hunt and kill this creature, but it would take time, and possibly weaken or even kill some of us, and so we cannot.”

“So that’s why you prefer to work through mortals” you say “you’re on guard against greater threats?”

“That and we can’t be everywhere at once” says Konig.

“I guess that makes sense” you concede “So why am I having to deal with this thing now? Why not kill it before?”

“I’ll answer this one” says Syderis, as Konig opens his mouth to speak. The God of Warriors stops and instead gestures for your mother to continue.
>>
“Sireyi the Killing Frost – all of the Sorrows – are representatives of larger forces. Killing them will release their power into the world for several years, before it eventually disperses throughout the planes. When the Lords of Life had been defeated the world was damaged, and fragile, the mortal races few in number. Killing them would have unleashed disaster on the world, undoing everything the gods worked for.”

“So if I kill the Frost” you say “The winter gets worse?”

“For a few years yes” says your mother sadly, her hands on your shoulders “but after that it will improve.”

“In that case” you say, with a heavy heart “tell me about the weapons”

“There’re five that are easiest to get hold of” says Konig “The first is the Heart of Azulkire: Azulkire was an Efreeti noble slain by a rival, who imprisoned a number of fire elementals into Azulkires body, and then cut out his heart. The Heart is kept in a sealed clay container and if broken, will release all of the magic of the fire elementals at once – an explosion that could devastate a country or kill something like the Killing Frost.”

“And where would I find it?” you ask.

“Interdimensional market” says Konig with a shrug “My followers know the merchant who owns it, and can probably convince him to part with it, for a price in the hundreds of thousands of gold, or a trade of some kind.”

“And the others?” you ask

“The Flame of the Empire” says Konig “The ancestral weapon of the ruling family of Genasia. Its a spear that-”

“Wait” says your mother “The Genasians, really?”
>>
“Yes” says Konig firmly “the Flame is imbued with the elemental power of generations of the ruling family – all of them sorcerers with a focus in fire magics. And the empire was founded a long time ago after a war against one of the Lords of Life that fled to their plane. I doubt they will let you wield it – but they have reason to want the Lords of Life, and their servants dead. With a little persuading, they would send an expeditionary force, or even an army to help.”

The Genasians are aggressive imperialists!” retorts your mother “invite them to this plane and they’ll want to stay! Anyone who doesn’t fit their ideal of what a ruling caste is will either be *invited* to join as a member state or taken as slaves.”

“That one does have some risks” admits Konig. “So those are the fire-based ones, now the Reapers Blade is a scythe that was once the weapon of a god of death, who was killed by a rival god. The Reapers Blade is somewhere in a land that was devastated by the gods battle and is overrun by undead, cannibals and assorted monsters. Finding that one is going to be the challenge. As the weapon of a god of death it can kill anything, perhaps even another god.”

“That one almost sounds like a fun trip” comments your mother.

“The Soul Gem of Jankiris The Mad was made by a lich who lived up to his name” continues Konig “It forms part of a vast treasure hidden inside a mountain that’s filled with traps and monsters, and the internal structure of the place rearranges itself regularly. Getting to that one will pose an interesting challenge I expect. The Soul Gem cannot kill the Killing Frost, but can be used to trap it, you just need to get close to it.”

“A dungeon created by a mad lich” you say “wonderful.”

“And the last one” says Konig “The god-slaying one. There is a race called the Qwekir that-”

“Wait” You say “I’ve fought one of those” you explain about the spy you found, and your fears that there may be others.
>>
Konig and Syderis share a grim look “We’ll keep watch for them” says your mother “Thank you Sireyi.”

“So as you would expect” says Konig “They have built a number of weapons that they believe can kill gods. And they guard them closely, except for the Fellblade – one of their failures – it *can* take the life of a god, but it drains the wielders life to power itself once unsheathed, even the toughest mortal would be dead within seconds. Given how long a battle against a god can last, it was deemed impractical, and hidden away. It is guarded, but not as well as the other weapons they made.”

“Can it be wielded safely?” asks your mother.

“Not by a mortal” says Konig “But a Goddess, particularly one of Life? Yes, I believe her ability to heal will outpace the harm it does.”

“Thank you my Lord” you say, thinking over what he has told you. You wonder what your next move is.

Getting weapons is not reliant upon picking a plan now and can be combined with making a plan later (first option).

Putting plan/weapon options in next post to allow players to discuss options, plus if picking a weapon is chosen in this vote, more details on the weapons will be revealed before choosing which weapon(s) are to be collected.

Well, we just got warned that leaving for a prolonged time is a bad idea. So the Gem and the Fellblade are right out as options.
The spear sounds like a terrible idea. The Heart could be good, seems like our best option. Depending on how dangerous the place is, we could probably send a group without Sireyi for the Scythe.

The Heart, maybe, but it depends on what the merchant asks us to acquire for him in return.

I don't feel like dealing with another nations of dicks, so I'd prefer to avoid the Flame, though maybe, if the other options are untenable.

The Scythe seems like the easiest to retrieve out of the lot, though I wonder how a weapon of Death would react to being wielded by a Goddess of Life.

Puzzle dungeon made by a mad lich? Yeah, no, Gem is off the list, even if it is a win button.

Fellblade seems like a good candidate, but it would likely provoke the Qwekir.

>>39708715
Velya is watching for us, so we can still go do things. All of the options except the Flame might require leaving for a time.

Options and cool weapons aside, Konig seems to be nice for once! Not once have i felt the urge to punch hiM!

But yeah the spear is what has me most interested for us to obtain. Shame that will be increadibly hard. The Scythe seems like the better options as Undead should be weak against us and seems fairly straightforward to get. Smash undead, smash bigger undead, take weapon. But I really do like the idea of a fire spear...

Ok so the Heart of Azulkire costs gold (maybe celestial iron), The Flame of the Empire is long term problems that I don't want, the Reapers Blade could be fun and we could take our sister or just send her to find it, “The Soul Gem of Jankiris The Mad would take to long and the Fellblade may be pocking the hornets nest so maybe?

Possible, I suppose. Depends on how the Undeath/Death issue works in this setting. If Undeads are part of the Death domain, its definitly conflicting.

My own opinion on it:
>Heart of Azulkire:
Could be good, but we don't have that much gold and I'm wary of what he'll want to trade for. Maybe if he's willing to take a service or job instead. This will require some serious negotiations.

>Flame of the Empire:
Nope. Not an option unless we can make them leave afterwards. Even if we make them promise to leave after killing it I suspect they'll take their sweet time getting around to it and settling in to our realm in response.

>Reaper's Blade:
Could also be good. It'll be an adventure too, and we could bring a bit of life to that realm while looking. Also skellies. rattleratllerattle.

>Fellblade:
They'll likely be alerted and we'd end up having to deal with them sooner than I'd be comfortable. I'm sure their attention is spread across multiple realms and I'd rather they don't focus all their attention on ours because of that stunt just yet. Also, even as a life goddess, prolonged combat against the Killing Frost with that thing is not good.

Just my two cents.

Not really no, we don't have that many great options we could afford doing two. Except 'maybe' the Heart, depending on if he is willing to trade for a celestial iron item we could craft, not sure how high-power we can craft at this point.

“I need to think about how to deal with the Killing Frost carefully” you say “I’m not ready to finalise a plan against it. I am ready to acquire one of the weapons though, or perhaps more than one.”

“Very well” says Konig “The Heart is expensive, but my church could purchase it”

“And ask what in return?” your mother asks sharply, to you she says “Velyas church isn’t as rich as Konigs, but could probably buy it without having to trade away more of Milerna’s freedom.”

“I never said I’d ask for that” says Konig calmly, too calmly.

“Or” you suggest “I could craft some sort of item in trade.”

“That might work” admits Konig “The owner is a dealer in rare objects and items of power but” he adds “he might drive a hard bargain, or demand a higher price in trade, perhaps its better if I were to simply buy it for you.”

Hmm...you’re not sure what he wants, but Konig wants *something*.

“The Genisians” you say “sound like bad news, perhaps they’re better avoided.”

“I agree” says your mother.

“Dealing with them will be risky” says Konig “but for thousands of years their ruling caste has been sorcerers with elemental-based powers – powers they gain by undergoing rites in mystically-charged locations. You might gain more than just a weapon by dealing with them.”

You wonder if the risk is worth the potential improvements to your forest.

“The Reapers Scythe could be useful” you say “a quick scrying spell, a few teleports and then I’m out of there.”

“Ah the exuberance of youth” your mother says, patting you on the shoulder “if it was that easy it would have been stolen long ago, no, prepare for a long slog through mists and swamps.”

“If I leave Oreia for too long-” you start.

“Velya and I can watch over it for a time” your mother reassures you “if you intend upon going in person and not sending agents.”

“Thank you mother” you say “The Soul Gem sounds useful, how strange a dungeon can one lich make?”

Even without taking the scythe into account, I think that realm overrun by undead is great testing grounds for new life spells, research into countering undead, death magic resistant crops, ect..

If that'll pay off. Maybe we don't have to, but I think it would be interesting.
>>
“Very” says your mother “but it will be with a treasure hoard too, so perhaps you can gain more than just the weapon.”

“True” you say “and I think taking the Fellblade might provoke the Qwekir”

“It’s held in a storage building” says Konig “if you retrieve it by stealth it might be some time before they realise its gone, and even a simple copy would fool a casual inspection of the contents of the place. If you used force then yes, they’d probably come after you straight away.” And as much as Alythkir wasn’t a threat to you, you have a whole kingdom to worry about.

You wonder which weapon, or weapons you should retrieve, and who will get them.
---
15 minutes to discuss and ask questions, then a five minute vote.

Vote will include options of who to send, defaults are: You; Your Twin; A group of succubi; some of your allies (to be picked later). Regardless of the option chosen there will be a later vote about who else goes with, initial vote is about who is leading the expedition.

If retrieving the Heart, a follow up vote will be held about *how* it will be purchased – this will be in addition to *who* is going to collect it.

Multiple weapons can be chosen – as many as you want.

There will be an option to restrict to one weapon only in your vote. If multiple weapons are chosen, I will take any with more than half the votes, or the single most popular if none get more than half the votes.

The Reaper weapon. Merely having it would get Delax off our ass for a time, and we could then form a defensive pact around this weapon with several neighboring kingdoms. It is objectively the most powerful weapon long-term.

Since we have Succubi with 4th level spells and everything, how powerful are the most powerful succubi in our service? In relation to our other allies?

The main problem I see is that we don't really have much agents to send anymore. Sofia can't leave Dalvin. Shahulzer, Nicolvren and Ebonsong would have problems in the narrow dungeon and in the swamp. Except Ebby in the latter. And thats pretty much all our really powerful companions.

Or get on our ass faster. Afterall he knows we can't kill himj without getting all the other gods on our ass. Actually the Gem would be better deterrent against him.

>>39709428
>if we'd accept another deal from Konig as the solution
Eh, its probably some stupid thing we'd agree to anyway, he just can't get himself to ask straight away.
>>
>>39709381
We could hire a third party to get the Fellblade and I want to ask about Konigs price but yes.
>>
>>39709363
Schyte would be my first choice. We can go there with some of our angels, priests, paladins and guards and do some nice undead cleansing while getting it. Would probably be good to bring blueberry and Isla as magic will probably be involved. Ebonsong would probably be good to bring to undead land what with swamps and all.

We can at let send someone to the trader to ask his price for The Heart. I mean it's seems rather simple to gain an artifact by just buying it rather than slug through a river of enemies. Most anyone can go there really.

Felblade seems nice but to much of a risk involved. We really do not need more hostile factions against us.

Spear is meh, nice but to many unknowns involved in the long term.

Dungeon... I don't know, traps are dangerous.
>>
>>39709433
>Our aunt and Jal go for the Fellblade
Our aunt and Jal have absolutely no chance to steal that thing, completly lacking magic and all that. A group containing Isla 'might' have a chance, but the Fellblade is something that really only Sireyi should attempt, considering the enormous risks involved.
I'm pretty strictly against it, it doesn't even seem remotly worth the trouble.
>>
>>39709428
I don't understand why you hate him so much. He's a cool guy.
>>
>>39709437
He's already arming himself to kill us and our family. Getting a weapon similar in function, yet universal in scope, would definitely make him hesitate. Whoever's pressuring him, he'd hesitate before just diving upon the Scythe.
>>
>>39709363
Personally I think the Heard and the Scythe are the best options.
I might have gone for the Gem if could actually *kill* KF, but it can't so it isn't suitable.

Question is if we go for the Heart, what could we make in exchange and should we make something worth more than what we initially give him as back up? I certain the merchant will refuse the first trade attempt and try to haggle something of more worth out of us.
>>
>>39709437
>its probably some stupid thing we'd agree to anyway, he just can't get himself to ask straight away.
If it is, maybe. I don't want to trade away more of Milerna's time though. I feel bad for Sofia, all alone so frequently.
>>
>>39709470
>Getting a weapon similar in function, yet universal in scope, would definitely make him hesitate.
I don't see why you think it would. It makes no sense. He KNOWS we won't use it pro-active. So it wouldn't pressure him at all. And the Scythe 'might' kill a god, its not even guaranteed.
>>
>>39709483
>I don't want to trade away more of Milerna's time though.
I say its at least worth hearing. I agree we definitly won't bargain over the back of our daughter, especially not without Sofia here.
>>
>>39709471
Reminder that we can make Life-related Artifacts due to our domain. Think an amulet/cloak/some-other-thing that confers extreme resilience, biological immortality and resurrection would be good enough?
>>
The way I see it, the Heart, Scythe and Gem are the ones that a party without Sireyi might accomplish. But I doubt we have the resources for more than one such party and its a pretty big risk.
If we dop take Konigs deal, we would be free to possibly risk pursuing two other items, otherwise Sireyi would be too busy crafting.
>>
>>39709471
We could always send the gem into the sun after we've captured KF in it.
>>
>>39709484
Actually, we'd be quite justified using the Scythe against him, since he is arming his people with millions of them attuned specifically for succubi and us.

He's already got weaker versions of the scythe, and he's already shown intent to kill us, specifically. If we use the scythe against him, it would be seen as responding to lethal force with lethal force.
>>
>>39709536

>>
>>39709363

>Since we have Succubi with 4th level spells and everything, how powerful are the most powerful succubi in our service? In relation to our other allies?
I'd like to second that question, its pretty important to know what we can use here.

I gotta admit, a dungeon robbery with a team of succubi would be fun as hell as side-plot.

>>39709541
>Actually, we'd be quite justified using the Scythe against him
No we wouldn't. Its not about fair play or any such shit. if we seriously try to kill him, we break the compact. Reasons are irrelevant. It doesn_'t matter. Just 'having' the ability to kill someone isn't the same as trying to do so.
>>
>>39709541
>If we use the scythe against him, it would be seen as responding to lethal force with lethal force.
That's not how the compact works.

You have some very skilled succubi in your realm, some of them are thousands of years old.

None are as powerful as you, but some are far stronger than your mortal allies.

The only issue is, is that the older succubi are the more independent-minded ones.

Restrict to one weapon only?
>Y/N

Retrieve Which Weapons? (pick all you want)
1 – Heart of Azulkire
2 – Flame of the Empire
3 – Reapers Blade
4 – Soul Gem of Jankiris the Mad
5 – The Fellblade

Who?
A – Sireyi
B – Azure Empress
C – Some of your other allies (i.e. Sofia, Ebonsong etc)
D – A band of adventurous succubi

If picking multiple weapons please pair the number and letter, e.g. 1A, 3B.
The same person can be tasked with retrieving multiple weapons.

Topic for discussion

>Suggest ideas for Succubi Adventurers who will be going to the dungeon of the mad lich

I.e. Succubi bard whose chosen performance medium is miming.

Succubi Barbarian, ex-pirate, ex-accountant

Succubi wizard press-ganged into helping due to crimes against nature

Just go nuts, might not use them all, but have fun.

Party size will be restricted to 6 total, to make writing easier.

Players will control 1 leader (succubi, or not)

If you'd rather it happen off-screen (simple die-roll) instead of playing through, just say.

Succubus Ranger Volkna

Spent a lot of time in one the hells hiding, observing, and tracking which honed her skills.
In her youth she was a masterful prankster, but she went and pissed off some big shot demons and it got out of hand from there. They where petty and wanted to make her pay, but she wasn't important enough for them, or even their officers at the time, to go catch her themselves, so they just sent minions. She had to spend a lot of time avoiding and getting out of traps as a result. The conflict escalated as she became more skilled, and her 'pranks' became retaliatory sabotage. Top lieutenants started being sent, but she was too good at that point and they would fail again and again. Eventually the saviour showed up and killed one of the demons that wanted her captured (guess who). She gladly went along, getting tired of living in constant danger, though she's fine with a bit of adventuring now and again.

Old Incubus backstory I came up with. Has not been edited at all from what I sent via skype

Incubus Bard, sent to seduce a paladin of Correlon ends up falling in love with the target. Incubus' demon lord douche isn't taking that shit and kidnaps the wife just to be an asshole.

Made a pact with Corellon in exchange for help taking back his wife. Corellon saw it as an in to take down a powerful demon lord in his realm, and the Incubus was not executed immediately. Incubus then helps lead a small host of angels right into the demon lord's fortifications.

Wife died in the conflict. Incubus has been wandering the material plane since, been a damned long time since he 'filled up'. Stays out of big engagements since it saps his power, but he does enjoy watching humans be all heroic 'n shit. Reminds him of his wife.

http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Corellon_Larethian Elves tolerate him in their settlements and he keeps his head down when not among elves.

His legend is kinda a thing among elves, which is really fucking annoying because after everything that's happened the last thing he wants is to be reminded of it.
>>
>>39710417
Incubi don't exist.
>>
>>39710417
Alright, so, his wife died in his arms, sappiness, blah blah blah, but it wasn't long until he realized 'Oh, wait, she's in heaven.' He begged Corellon to see her, but being an Incubus, he gets laughed at (not literally, he's a haughty elf that never laughs or is too polite or some shit). So he came to the material plane and keeps wandering around there, sometimes doing good acts in the hopes to earn his way into heaven, sometimes evil acts when he gets all depressed and frustrated and shit. His allignment got set to Chaotic Neutral because really all he wanted was to see his wife again.

Anyways, he composed a song based on the last words his wife told him before she went on up. "I'm just Going Home". Look up Going Home by Dvorak (or Libera, if you want the vocals if you want to hear it.

He's been known to break his fingers prior to visiting elves for prolonged periods of time so he wouldn't be hounded by requests. Naturally, they'd use all their elven healing and magic to fix him up, but by the time they were recovered he'd already be leaving.

Anyways, yeah, thought this might be a good time to see it go through, since that game lasted two sessions before everything bad that could happen did.

Bikini armor or pin-up uniforms for all of them. ALL OF THEM.

Also a bard/sorcerer who can't take a blindfold off and is has her arms or hands tied to her torso. She sings potent spells but has to be protected. The longer she sings, the more powerful the spell becomes and her clothes might or might not shrink/disappear as the more she sings

“The Reapers Blade is the most important weapon” you say “I’ll retrieve that personally. I think the Soul Gem of Jankiris and the Heart of Azulkire will be useful back-ups.”

“And will you retrieve those personally too?” asks your mother.

“No” you say, shaking your head “I knew a group of rather...special succubi who would be ideal to retrieve the Soul Gem.”

“Are you sure?” asks you mother with concern “Going into a dungeon created by a mad wizard could affect their minds.”

“With this lot” you mutter under your breath “who would notice?”

“Pardon?” asks Konig

“I said I have every confidence in them” you say. You feel bad, but it’s not *really* a lie, you do expect them to be able to do the job....in their own special way.

“I’ll send someone else to pick up the Heart of Azulkire” you say “I’ll figure out who, later. The most important thing to decide” you give Konig a hard look “is the price, and who will be paying.”

“My offer stands” he says calmly “My church will pay for it out of our own coffers. I ask only one small favour.”

“And that is?” you ask, raising an eyebrow at him.

“Milerna is doing very well at school” says Konig “Making friends, overcoming challenges, and she seems very happy, but I wonder, being away from her brother for such a long time, that must be hard on them both, after all they’ve been together since birth and-”

“You want Vivi to attend paladin school” you say flatly “even if Jal agreed, he has magical powers though – strong ones, he’s going to need training on how to deal with them.”

“There are mages guilds nearby” says Konig “a deal can arranged, and my own priests are-”

“Idiot thugs who don’t even know their conjuration from their transmutation!” snaps your mother, before adding to you “I’m sorry Sireyi, I’m sure you want to shout at him too.”

You do, a bit, ok more than a bit. You have five children, how many are going to end up in the church of Konig because you need to buy a favour?
>>
“That decision” you say, resisting the urge to yell “isn’t mine to make, Jallarial is Vivi’s mother, and I’d want to speak to Isla and Sofia about it too.”

“Of course” says Konig with a smile “But now you know what my offer is, you can take it to them.”

“The Church of Velya could buy the Heart” points out your mother, as if scoring a point on Konig.

“They could” admits Konig “but depending upon the negotiating skills of whomever you send, it could seriously damage the churches finances.”

“Or I could make whatever the merchant asks for” you say quietly “that way I’m not trading away my son.”

Konig goes quiet for a moment and then says “He would receive the best education, be guarded all day and night, and would get to be with his sister, Sireyi, I ask you – how else where you planning on schooling him?”

---

And that’s it for the main quest, Junior Paladin(g) coming up next. Will there be a new cast-member soon?

You’re all heroes! Or maybe you’re in a lot of trouble, it’s hard to say.

You’re back at the base, camp, thing.

After the goblins guided you to the edge of the forest, you all helped Sera walk back and were soon spotted by a pair of instructors. You were all put on horseback and rode back to the camp.

Sera is being looked after by one of the instructors in the infirmary tent.

You, Thomas, Chesi and Gilyan are in the patrol-commanders tent.

The Patrol-commander isn’t happy.

“-complete disregard for the rules, the most reckless, dangerous, stupid, childish behaviour I have ever seen!” He yells, walking up and down in front of you.

Patrol-commander Gavorn is an old man, like in his twenties or something and you don’t know much about him, except he has really short hair and a really loud voice.

“When we get back you are all on punishment duty, do you understand?”

“Yes sir” says Thomas dully, his eyes forward.

“Sir, I-” starts Gilyan

“What?!” bellows Patrol-commander Gavorn, coming to a stop in front of her.

“It was my fault” says Gilyan “It was my idea, I take full responsibility.”

Patrol-commander Gavorn pauses and then says in a calmer voice “noted cadet, your punishment will last longer, but that of your co-conspirators will be reduced.”

“But-” starts Chesi, looking at Gilyan in concern, whatever else she is planning on saying is lost as Patrol-commander Gavorn yells “and you shut your mouth hellbreed! I want none of your lies, are we clear?”

Yes, yes sir!” says Chesi shakily. Patrol-commander Gavorn stomps over to you and stops in front of you, “Well?”
>>
“Well what, uh, sir?” you ask.

“Oh the Princess can speak, does the Princess have a brain, I asked a question Princess, I said *are we clear?* do you know what that means Princess? It means you say *Yes sir!* do you understand Princess?!” He has such a loud voice for a short man.

How do you respond?

“It was my idea” you say, adding a belated “sir”

“What?” he says, his face screwing up in confusion “What did you say?”

“It was my idea” you say “I convinced everyone to go along with it.”

He straightens up, marches over to Gilyan “Is this true?”

There’s a pause and Gilyan says “Yes sir”

The sound of a slap sends a shock through you, and you see Gilyan reel back from the blow.

“You lying little shit!” snarls Patrol-commander Gavorn. Gilyan steps back into line, a red mark on her face as Patrol-commander Gavorn once again walks up and down the row “Alright, the Liar and the Princess have double punishment, the Hellbreed and the Dullard have half punishment, that means its twenty days of chores for two of you and four for the other two – starting today!”

Wait, you think that doesn’t add up, half of twenty is-

Your line of thought is broken as Patrol-commander Gavorn yells “Now get out!”

The four of you trudge outside to be met by a grey-haired sergeant who looks at you, spits on the ground and says “Wi’ me kids.”

He leads you over to a patch of rocky ground on the edge of the camp and says “Gonna have a garden here” he points at the rock-filled dirt “but not yet eh?” he indicated a pile of tools, shovels, picks and rakes “Well? Get clearing the rocks kids, and not jabbering.” And then he sits down on the ground, takes a flask off his belt and takes a swig.

You all look at one another, shrug, and head for the tools.

Later that afternoon, you and Gilyan are carrying a big rock between the two of you, hefting it away from the *garden* and towards a rock pile some distance away.

“You shouldn’t have done that” says Gilyan in a whisper, her cheek swollen “If you had kept quiet, only one of us would have extra punishment.”

Your response?

Dunno, its the only ones I found he could have maybe meant. Really only the "grab his arm" was cringe inducing to me.
The other stuff was just OOC. I agree that Milerna will become fed up with people talking shit about Chesi, but I didn't really have the feeling sofar she really understood they were doing that, being 8 year old and only knowing nice and accepting people sofar.

See what might actually happen. Is if she actually sees one of her mothers or her aunt. She can tell a story about how she had to fight a monster to save a friend.

Maybe if Sireyi or one of Milerna's other mothers did it, but Ophilian's presence and everything it brings is an explicit part of the deal. She will probably report the jackass and she did tell Milerna to bring all punishment she gets to her.

“You’re my friend” you say “I was just trying to help”

The two of you just carry the rock for a few moments and then Gilyan says “Thanks Mili”

“You’re welcome” you say, you’re not completely sure why she is thanking you, but you musta done something good. “The truth is important too” you say earnestly “Lying doesn’t help anyone.”

The two of you put the rock down and head back to pick up the next ones Chesi and Thomas have dug up.

Gilyan just giggles then says “Ow, ah you just ruined it Mili.”

“What did I do?” you ask

“You started off friendly then you went all high and mighty.”

You walk in silence as you think about that one, then you notice Gilyan rubbing her check with one hand.

“I’m sorry you got hit” you say, wishing you had your mamas ability to heal right now “does it hurt a lot?”

“I’ve had worse” says Gilyan “if you keep being honest, you probably will get the same too.”

That seems wrong to you somehow. The two of you carry some more rocks as you think that one over, it doesn’t match with the way you were taught, with the way Aunt Philly acts.

You’re about to tell Gilyan that hitting doesn’t bother you, your mama told you that due to your paladin powers you’re hard to hurt.

Before you can explain, as you’re on your way back to pick up another rock, an instructor rides up to you, leading your pony. Beside him is Sera on her pony, she looks tired, but ok.

“Cadet Jalweyen?” he asks, you nod.

“I’m escorting Cadet Hathwyne back to the school” he says “as her squire, you’re coming with.”

“She doesn’t have to” protests Sera “I’ll be fine, really.”

The instructor shrugs “I personally don’t care either way, but I was told to take you” he says “Are you coming or are you staying?”

You could stay here for the rest of the three day trip, with Chesi, Thomas and Gilyan.

Or you could go back to school, as ordered, and spend some time with Sera. Michael and Jenny are back at the school, too.

What do you do?

“I’m going to stay here” you tell the instructor. Orders are one thing, but you’re not leaving Chesi behind.

“Fine” he says, shrugging again. He rides off with Sera, leaving your pony behind.

You take your pony back to where all the other horses are tied, and then get back to work.
---
When you ride back to school at the end of camp you’re tired, and sore. The who camp was just chores, chores, chores for all of you. You were watched closely, and kept away from anything fun.

Camping sucks. At least nothing else bad happens though.

When you get back to the school and get off your pony you are tired, sore, and a little angry. You, Ches, Thomas and Gilyan are in the stables with the other cadets.

“Need a bed” says Thomas, swaying on his feet

“Need a bath” says Gilyan, sniffing herself

“Hungry” says Chesi, eying both of them like they’re food.

All three might be nice you think, leading your pony into her stall.

As your taking your pony’s bridle off, another cadet comes into the stable and walks over to you “Instructor Ophilian says she wants to see you all.”

Good, you can tell her what happened.

As you all head to Aunt Philly’s office, you meat Sera coming the other way, she changes direction and walks beside you “Mili” she says quietly “I need to speak to you in private, it’s important.”

Sera looks better, not hurt at all.

You could just be late to see Aunt Philly, she won’t mind. You could tell Sera you’ll talk later, or you could take her along to meet Aunt Philly.

“Tell Aun- er, I mean, Instructor Ophilian I will be there soon” you say to Thomas, Chesi and Gilyan. Sera says its important, and being a bit late to see Aunt Philly won’t land you in too much trouble, you hope.

You follow Sera as she leads you to an empty classroom and closes the door behind you. Then she turns and hugs you, fiercely. You’re a bit surprised but you hug her back.

“Sera?” you ask “are you ok?”

Sera pulls back from the hug and you can see she’s crying.

“I’m ok” she says, nodding “Thanks to you.”

“I um, I just did what a good palading does” you say. A good paladin doesn’t need a reward after all.

Sera chokes out a quick laugh and then says “Well, thank you anyway, and tell Thomas and Chesi and Gilyan thank you too.”

“Aren’t you going to tell them?” you ask, a little unsure.

Sera shakes her head, tears still running down her cheeks.

“No” she says “I’m leaving the school.”

“Why?” you ask, thinking “That monster thing was really scary, but a palading shows no fear and-”

“It’s not, it’s not that” says Sera “Ah, look, I’m descended from an angel and-”

“Me too!” you say eagerly, happy to have found someone like you “My mama is an angel and my grandmama and-”

“I know” says Sera sadly “I could sense it in you, but I’m, the angel that, ah, look some angels were banished a long time ago, for things they did, and uh, the children they have are not well thought of. On the way back the instructor asked me about it, and I didn’t tell him, because I know they’d- anyway, he attacked me, I stopped him with my powers and then he knew. And the school doesn’t allow the children of the fallen in, so I have to go. I just want to say thank you, and goodbye.”

That’s a lot to take in, and some of it sounds wrong. An instructor attacking a cadet? Not being allowed to be a paladin because of who your family is? No, that’s not right.

To play tag? To show off who is braver in defying the instructors? To pick up shrooms?

And where exactly was it said how she got abducted? The only post I recall pertaining to that was where she apparently didn't come back from an exercise.

I honestly don't understand why some anons have gotten so inflamed.
>>
>>39712685
>To play tag? To show off who is braver in defying the instructors? To pick up shrooms?
Why did that need specifying the gender of who she went with?

>And where exactly was it said how she got abducted?
In the same fucking post where we got told she got lost.
>>
>>39712706
>Why did that need specifying gender
It did not. It could have been "a girl" or "an other cadet". So what? You're reading more into it that was meant to convey. Has the thought occured to you?
>In the same fucking post where we got told she got lost.
Yeah, where a third party said it might have been... so you got nothing.
>>
>>39712685
>And where exactly was it said how she got abducted?
We were told in the same update she was led off the path by the Talented, who we already knew don't like her after she told us she has problems with them in our first conversation.

>I honestly don't understand why some anons have gotten so inflamed.
Because people being obnoxious faggots about which characters they want to fuck eachother is a long suffering of this quest, in case you are new. And its just tiresome and annoying, if it would at least make some attempt at being basically humerous it would be okay, but this blatant trying to insert shit for no particular reason and completly against stuff directly established is not humerous.
>>
>>39712706
>Why did that need specifying the gender of who she went with?
Why shoundn't the facts be given when reporting what happened? This could turn /pol/ if I explain this any more so I'll shut up.

“You need to come with me” you say firmly “right now”

“What?” asks Sera

“Aunt Philly is an instructor here” you say, taking Sera by the hand and almost dragging her to Aunt Philly’s office.

As you enter you see Thomas, Chesi and Gilyan sat in comfy chairs, each with a plate of food in their laps. That doesn’t look like the stew the cadets get, that looks like the good food the instructors get!

Aunt Philly is sat at her desk, also with a plate of food, talking to Gilyan “So then she covers herself with her wings and says *Philly if you’re going to steal my night dress, the least you can do is lend me-* Oh hello Mili” says Aunt Philly “I was just telling them about when I went to school with your mother, who’s your friend?”

Sera looks a little unsure “Uh Cadet Hathw-”

“She’s in trouble!” you tell Aunt Philly “The instructors say she has to leave for a dumb reason!”

“What sort of reason?” asks Aunt Philly, inviting Sera to sit an explain herself.

You notice another plate of food that was probably meant for you.

Your stomach growls...but a good paladin thinks of others before herself.

As Sera sits in front of Aunt Philly’s desk and talks, you wordlessly put the plate of the best food you’ve seen in days in front of her, and hand her the knife and fork.

Somewhat tearfully, Sera explains as she eats, Aunt Philly and your friends listen.

When she has finished, Chesi is shaking her head saying “That’s not right”, Thomas is nodding in agreement and Gilyan is hugging Sera saying “You could have told me, I would have kept your secret, Sera.”

“Leave this with me” says Aunt Philly, looking cross “Sera, go back to your dorm room tonight, I’ll speak to...those who need a good talking to.”

“Yes Instructor Ophilian” says Sera, still a bit tearful “Thank you Instructor”

“You’re welcome” says Aunt Philly, “Now all of you, eat up and get some rest” she pushes her half-finished plate towards you and you eagerly dig in.
>>
Later, when you’re all leaving, Sera says “and thank you again Mili, that’s twice you’ve saved me, how can I ever thank you?”

Your friends all chip in with suggestions.

“Slave for a day” says Chesi

“Half your chores?” suggests Thomas

“Be friends forever” advises Gilyan

The five of you are walking away from Aunt Philly’s office, how do you respond?

>No reward needed
>A good palading seeks no reward...but a friend might be nice
>Share my chores
>Slave for a day (or longer?)
>Other (what?)

Yeah, that's the update I found to check and there's nothing but speculation. However I understand now that my (wrong) guess triggered you. So, sorry for triggering your paranoia.

I will however point out that this attitude of jumping to conclusions of "muh magical realm" at every post that rubs you the wrong way is just as detrimental to the quest as the actual fetish shitposting. Perhaps even more so because while Pally can do good job of filtering away obviously bullshit votes, paranoid overreaction at otherwise legitimate suggestions is detrimental when making normal in character choices.

But that was a more general remark, and I'm sorry if my post earlier scarred you emotionally that much.

I think she is naturally inclined to lewd instead.

Completly different anon, but, what does this have to do with any votes? No votes got influenced by anything like that. We agreed to lead a nation of goddamn succubi, and you're still whining about people being paranoid of magical realm? Really? Is this a thing?

>A good palading seeks no reward...but a friend might be nice
Also, just occurred to me that Milerna would probably interpret a bed slave as just being someone to cuddle at night.

>>39712893
Her slave suggestion is barely even lewd by itself. That's a thing that kids bet sometimes.

Mine is a lot more lewd, but it's clearly a joke.

You know, I have to admit, I kinda like the thought of Mili making unintentionally suggestive remarks due to exposure to mama Jal and all those succubi friends she has.
>>
>>39712992
>Her slave suggestion is barely even lewd by itself. That's a thing that kids bet sometimes.

I think truthfully it is more of a cultural thing. She says slave for a day, but more or less takes it as following Mili around and in general following orders.

Type of thing some kids even now might suggest. Not too uncommon.
>>
>>39712992
>Notice how all the parts of his post that aren't irrelevant while trying to appear relevant are backhanded.

>irrelevant
Someone posts something, and others immediately assume it's about pedophilia. How was that irrelevant?

>backhanded
Well excuse me but my drive to be polite is eroded after getting accused of "trolling".
>>
>>39713056
I don't think this was lewd at all, considering their culture, that sort of indenture or temporal slavery is probably a normal thing to them.
Chesi was still born in hell afterall.
>>
“Paladings do not do good deeds for rewards” you say, taking her by the hand “but I’d like to be your friend, if you want one, that is.”

“Of course I do” says Sera, pulling on your hand and drawing you into a hug “friends forever Mili.”

“Ugh, girls!” says Thomas, adding “Hey Gilly why’d you hit me?”

“My fist slipped” says Gilyan “anyway, c’mon, I’m tired, and you all need to go to bed too.”

“Yeah” says Sera with a yawn “bedtime”.

“And to think” Chesi says, linking an arm though yours as you walk down the corridor “you could have had a slave to tuck you in yours Mili.”

You shake your head and giggle, Chesi is so silly sometimes.

“What would I use a slave for?” you ask her

Chesi suggests “Well you could make her-”

And that’s it for The Littlest Palading Quest today. Next Paladin of Joy Quest will be tomorrow, at the same time (about 16 hours from now).

Well, what do we have sofar in solid suggestions?
The trap specialising ranger, ocd rogue, the heartbroken bard, the wanna be paladin and one of Sireyis priests? Sounds to me like some spellcasters and meatsheilds could use suggestions.
>>
>>39713194
yeah I think those are the suggestions so far
>>
>>39713194
Theses are ancient Succubi. All of them can cast at least 4th level spells. Though someone specialized in magical knowledge wouldn't go amiss.
>>
>>39713215
So we can settle it for reference, would Konig allow Sireyi to enhance Mili with investments?
And could we build a magic guild in Oreia?
>>
>>39713220
I think when dealing with the lair of a ancient lich, you really need someone specialising in magic.
One such is probably more than enough though.
>>
>>39713220

I'm sad that I didn't think of suggesting a Psion succubus in the party until now. Damn these videogames and other quests!
>>
>>39713238
>So we can settle it for reference, would Konig allow Sireyi to enhance Mili with investments?

He might object, but as Mili is not (yet) his worshipper, he's not allowed to stop it

>And could we build a magic guild in Oreia?

Sure, would probably get a free specialisation in enchantment
>>
>>39713261
>a Psion succubus
That would just make me paranoid of it being a Qwekir infiltrator.
>>
Magic Breaker type Succubus?

Specializes in taking apart magical spells with either special abilities or dispells?

Also a strong helping of stealth of coarse.
>>
>>39713293
Our mage specialist specialising in abjurations? Or the rogue should be good at it, to break into really well protected vaults.
Would be good, and make snese for a succubus to combine the two.
>>
>>39713080
>temporal slavery is probably a normal thing to them.
temporal means untill I can excape in hell right?
>>39713099
>Succubi adventurer ideas are appreciated. Bonus XP will be given for any I use.
>>39713194
Any combat member would have combat magic, the wanna be paladin Chesi's mum could be our meatsheild but we need a Lore master type to know anything our rogue and bard don't.
If rogue/bard have lore master covered I want a totaly sub combat master (swords and spells)
>>39713333
The rogue is a wardsmith aswell as a locksmith.
>>
>>39713445
>If rogue/bard have lore master covered I want a totaly sub combat master (swords and spells)
Well, its succubi, I'm sure you could find a sub among them...

Seriously though, I think all of them would be Gishs by default a bit.
Maybe a Barbarian that uses natural succubus enchantments to confuse and misdirect the enemies while she cleaves their heads off?
Maybe on of those veteran succubi we met that focused on protecting the younger ones in hell and keeps treating the others as "younger sisters". Infuriating them to no end, of course.
>>
>>39713445
>The rogue is a wardsmith aswell as a locksmith.
Sounds good.

>Chesi's mum
Seems redundant, although I would like Chesis mom to be on the team. One of them, anyway.

>>39713489
>natural succubus enchantments
Okay, that made me laugh, no sure if intentional.
>>
>>39713489
>Well, its succubi, I'm sure you could find a sub among them...
I just want a subbubi combat expert pining for the bard and willing to do anything for her. Is that so wrong?
>>39713532
>Seems redundant, although I would like Chesis mom to be on the team. One of them, anyway.
where do you think little Chesi gets it from?

OK so
>>39710417
>>39710435
Bard
>>39710170
Ranger
>>39710064
Rouge (let's ignore my dead weight con-artist)
>>
>>39713665
>where do you think little Chesi gets it from?
Actually, thats stilla bit of a mystery. If Chesi was the one who gave Mili the idea to become paladings, how does that fit together with that Mili was supposed to attend anyway?
Did someone nudge her into that direction? Maybe Chesi just wanted to be more like Mili with the paladin powers.

Anyway. Bard, Ranger and Rogue seem to be set. I'm not sure if I actually want the want-to-be paladin, it kinda detracts from Chesis plot of becoming the first succubus paladings, which is pretty cute. I would prefer just one of Sireyis priestesses.
>>
>>39713721
If we drop the paladin we need a sixth so Jal or loremisstress?
>>
>>39713826
Bard, Ranger, Rogue, Priestess, I kinda liked the barbarian, loremistress?
The priestess could still be a fighter, afterall Philly is one too and she only could have become one very recently.
>>
>>39713848
Loremistress being what? A necromancer who got put on punishment duty after experimenting on dead orcs during our skirmish with them?
I would like a really unsettling succubus wizard, whos just hung out with way too many lonely evil wizards and kept picking up knowledge from these jobs until it became her hobby, and do a hobby long enough and you become really good at it.
>>
>>39713848
>>39713826
Well, its not like Pally 'has' to use the suggestions, so I figure he will decide the exact composition himself anyway. Maybe he has some ideas he likes. I feel like it wouldn't be complete with at least one of them being pampered and (seemingly) vapid except when shit gets really serious.
>>
We could have a big, tough, muscly, scarred up fighter. Who's constantly frustrated because she can't find anyone who's courageous enough to properly be her dom.
>>
>>39713890
>Loremistress being what
The bookworm
OK so if we have a Rouge, Ranger, Bard, Priestess and a Barbarian then the Bard and Rouge could pull loremistress duty and at least 1 of them is likely to be a combat caster so should Jal lead them or are we lacking anything?
>>39713950
>I feel like it wouldn't be complete with at least one of them being pampered and (seemingly) vapid except when shit gets really serious.
Then we need one vapid one pining sub the leader and what else?
>>
>>39714138
>The bookworm
I know what loremistress implied, just wanted to ask after class and role. Though I find we need at least one being a full-time spellcaster to deal with the magic of a ancient lich, hence my suggestion for the loremistress being a wizard or dedicated spellcaster.
>>
>>39714193
>hence my suggestion for the loremistress being a wizard or dedicated spellcaster.
I was thinking the priestess could fill that role as she would need to get that high Willpower from somewhere and would only have a years training as a priestess so being a spellcaster before hand would help make her usefull.
>>
>>39714295
I had thought it might be more useful for the priestess to fill the second fighting roll.As the 'tank' practically, since we got a bunch of buffs among our spell list.
Also helps to have both the priestess and the dedicated spellcaster being able to take seperate actions.
Not married to the idea though. Could put Jal in the sixth spot too, although I like the idea of it being all-succubus.
>>
>>39714295
>to fill the second fighting roll
To be more specific, I meant 'frontline' fighting, obviously all of them ave fighting roles.
>>
>>39714338
The only other role I can think of is the crafter type who acts like robert downey jr so >>39713950 gets the vapid one.
>>
>>39714571
I just felt like the existing character seemed a bit too serious for a bunch of succubi adventurer.
