I would assume that:
Retreating & Redeploying is possible so long as that the party isn't currently in combat or under an event.

If for some reason the entire party isn't in combat/event during a Floor it should be fine to Re-Deploy.

Loot should only pertain to things that are found on the current Floor, rare items found on previous dungeons shouldn't be lost for retreating.

Deploying at the end of the Map shouldn't net you a level, nor should you have Loot priority over someone who stayed in the map.

I single handedly defeated the Board of Education.

Knowing that he was an Extra Dimensional Being who existed beyond Time and Space I concluded that his one weakness was Time and Space, otherwise why wouldn't he live there?

*ahem* that undignified display aside - that was absolutely lots and lots of fun even if spread out over many, many sessions. And I'll take a moment to say that I love the detail of the [Board of Scholars] being a human composed of skulls. That's really neat.

That is huge.

It means that switching between books after preparing spells can MASSIVELY change what you can do! It also lets you use FUSIONS of elements I bet!

Fire+Lux(The Primordial Spark)=Lightning.

If you get out another g-gun and pop another type of bullet in, it's not going to metamorph the already loaded rifle you're stacking against the barricade or sticking down your pantaloons. You've just got two different guns set with two different payloads. Clearly all this rune stuff's the same, 'cept like, in the air and with sigils and lots more mumbling. And you've gotta wear a mask, go figure. And the book is a gun in this metaphor. Or maybe it's the bullet. Or the priming rod? erh, nevermind, look, my point is, the words are in the book, right, but drawing the energy out of the book and preparing the spell is getting the ammo out of the case and into the firing position. You can get another book out to get another type of round just fine.

You wanted to do fire, but you dipped your hand into the ammo pouch that had light. So you loaded what you thought was dense core for point penetration but ended up with frangible wood pellets, but didn't see it before you stuffed it into your rifle and pressed the trigger. So the shot just bounces of the target dummy. Same-same. Except with more weird green light.

But the principle is similar! Unless you had some sort of property changing bullet that... hang on, I've gotta write this down somewhere... "

Perhaps you should leave the magic to us mages. You lot can barely seem to handle special guns. Try working with powerful but normal materials first.

I disagree. Lux wouldn't produce lightning from my understanding, it's LIGHT, not electricity. Electricity isn't a foundational element to my understanding.

The foundational elements are
Fire
Water
Earth
Wind
Life
Time
Luck
Darc
Lux

Everything else is combinations of those. For example, Iron is an element forged of the Earth through the use of Fire.

I'm betting that if you cast Earth Arrow with a Fire Book, you'd produce an iron arrow!

Also, lore ruling.

If you die on a floor, your character is revived one level lower. You don't roll an entirely new character, it's just you with a loss of experience right?

You only permadie when you lose your last skill from dieing too often.

Is there a specific reason we can't add the gun and mask up NE to that pile? There's an extra turn to withdraw and my movement places me at the wall if not trough the hole. If not through it it's an attack action to bust down a section/climb it/kick hole bigger then a move to get to the items. Just move if through. Drop bread, grab mask, drop smouldering rifle, grab [unknown] guns, ( hand / backpack) withdraw with everyone else on the turn they do it because they didn't get teleported to the ship.

Its not a big deal really, but when its visible, within range and not guarded its a little weird to leave it behind when I don't see why we should?
