From the looks of it, Wendigo and I can protect ourselves in these ruins, The Midian is even /faster/ than I am, and the old man has likely killed his fair share of demons. And has the collection to show for it. These monsters- they can be destroyed THEY CAN BE BEATEN ! And yet, I feel that we should also run- while our friends remain able to run. "

For now, we are surrounded and any of the demons are in our midst. The stairs are far away, and many of our people are down below as well. So we will fight. All we can do is fight.

As for afterwords, a retreat to the west is bound to lead to more demons as well. However the ruins thus far seem clear of the creatures and we do have a convenient entrance nearby. Perhaps we can use those to get close to the stairs without having to fight our way through the legions of hell.

Everyone is both spread out and clustered at the same time. Those isolated with a lot of enemies need to run for a safe spot, those who outnumber the enemy right now are in a good position to fight them and lay claim to stakes. Anyone in that forest is toast unless someone makes the space open up for them or use an NPC's help.

I also recall some runes being put down which can be used to harass and experiment with elemental types. We dont even know if pulses will HURT demons. But we have until the Southern group invades that village or enters the cove to find out.

On that note, if things get bad , why NOT use the cove ?
