Part of the war in heaven as that it was a war to be -God-, to be the Am that I Am. Yahweh and his family couldn't agree on what exactly to do with the power. He didn't want to take the throne of heaven, the "Me" of heaven, but he was forced to doing so to prevent his brothers and sisters from taking it. They all wanted to do something with the power. They thought the idea of there being no super-deity, no pilot at the wheel, to be absurd. They all wanted to change humanity in some fundamental way "for the better". Yes, for the most part, though it depends on the day and which anon's are playing. Some rather poor decisions, and some really dangerous write ins, at least in my opinion, have come up from time to time, but I think we're in a really good spot now and our protagonist has a fairly decent spot now where we have a concise idea of who we are and what our policies would be. That said, there is definitely magical realm stuff going on, so if that doesn't do anything for you, you're fine not checking up on it.

We had some great write ins at the end of the last thread with Lesath trying to tell Hazel that she isn't a monster is really sticking with me. NEW ADVANTAGE: INSTANT VACUUM: Florian can drain an area of air by drawing it into a fire. He can use this to suffocate foes or to create a powerful implosion.

She stares at you and you smile back. She glares and springs to her feet. The E-Tool in her hands grows a sheathe of frost that unfurls into a hook and chain.

"Pagan fool! Unhand me at once! No man lays hands on me!"

You see the flame on Nayara's hand dye down as a mass of ice waves on it, struggling to build itself against the flame.

You and Nayara lock eyes in mutual understanding. Florian and Eulalia may be trapped in a battle of wills, but your own wills back them.

If you so choose you will take Nayara on in a battle of wills, a battle between fire and ice...

Thinking about what to say, I think we should focus upon us talking about what has made us strong. Our faith in ourselves and our faith in others.

While I think she has several points, we need to put on the brave face now. I would like to actually talk about the struggle to lead and what we're doing with Costilla, Sibella, Abby, hell even Nayara later. It would be good to have that pick me up right now.

What if for all the skill and discipline and hype Michael's given you you know that deep down I'm right. I deserve to lead." You grit your teeth and flash Nayara a look that contains all your frustration, all your passion. "And that I'm better than you!"

The ice shatters into a fireball. Nayara screams and the flaming e-tool falls to the floor.

She looks pitifully at the E-tool and mutters an apology to her partner.

"How can this beeeeee?" Eulalia yells in indignant furry. "This is impossible!"

"Florian and Anon are used to doing the impossible!' Your partner hypes the two of you up.

With Eulalia defeated you retract Florian. The warehouse gradually begins to fill with oxygen. Without Florian's influence however you and Nayara can now "breathe" through your respective halos.

Nayara scrambles to pick up Eulalia and quickly retracts her hand as she feels the heat of the smoking E-tool. The halo prevents her from burning herself although it does nothing for the pain.

She flashes you a go-to-hell look as she fingers her third and final saint.

"She wouldn't appreciate it." Nayara says stretching her neck in preparation of you resuming your bout. "She likes austerity."

"Ah." You say glancing at Lucy. "I got one like that to."

"You know, they were wrong about you when they hyped you up. You're actually better than they said you would be Anon."

"Well." You shrug. "I aim to please."

"So do I. That's why I have to beat you."

"You know Nayara, I'm starting to think there's more to this than just us disagreeing about Sibella and her secrets."
