Guilliman fears his knowledge, distrusts him as a mortal, but trusts that he is valuable and the malc and emp like and trust him so like benefit of the doubt

Khan likes him, but dislikes that he is well liked. Like a hipster who likes a mainstream thing, he'd rather it not known that he actually likes cup-bearer and his company. He appreciates more than anything that cupbearer has never pressured the khan into anything, and given him the space he loves.

Leman thinks he's a bit weak, a bit passive and a bit bookish but sees his worth and went in wanting to like him so has probably convinced himself he a good nerd, and important to malcador and emps.

Fulgrim owes him for his legion and for indulging Fulgrim in wanting his men by his side, a feeling of indebtedness to this awkward nerd is hard for him. He is repaying him in the only way he knows how, by improving the cupbearer as a person (the ambidextrous lessons). Fulgrim also is probably having a bit of a crysis of faith in his abilities, seeing his own pursuit of perfection and art and second guessing himself. If I was any guess I'd say fulgrim would be steering away from ultra-detailed art and going for broad strokes and impressionism to avoid the perfection problem thoughts while still doing what he likes.

I disagree. He was a loner before he became cupbearer , he has no experience or confidence in such things from the beginning and has no real breathing room to properly adjust.

Partially agree, but you may be overlooking the "faith" he has in the Custodes and Razit's boys ability to keep his quarters secure. That couple in the hot tub are part of his staff, thus already vetted, though that was proven to be not-fool proof later on, and his generosity is why he overlooks vetting the harem/boy/maids/etc, he's an honestly GOOD person and doesn't think about the bad consequences his good deeds bring about, only helping out the people he sees before him.
