Summary: The world is as of now a pure fantasy setting. Things in the north are nice, things in the south are less nice. We're not adding manpreg island no matter how much you ask, feel free to add other stuff and flesh out other things.

rules are (as of right now):

>be nice
>don't fuck up other people's lore
>don't add new landmasses
>don't sperg out if people don't accept or like your lore/additions

Latest version of the map with added suggestions
>>
>>84877995
as you can see by this map, this is the guy that shit up the latest thread, insisting on adding his suggestions despite breaking the "rules" that people agreed on by the first thread (they are on this thread's OP, so children like him won't get confused)

whenever you see manpreg island or fairytale land, just ignore and move on with your day
>>
>>84878053
not to mention that that guy is definitely NOT the op of the first 3 threads

lots of people have gotten their own suggestions rejected because they were too trolly or dumped on previous lore, but none have sperged out as much as this transexual autist
>>
>>84878053
don‘t start it faggot we already lost half a thread to this shit. you are the one deliberately using an outdated op pic to push the narrative of your personal vendetta. fairy isles stay because like you said it yourself in the op we don‘t fuck up other people’s lore unless it’s fetish shit. let‘s stop this annoying and destructive argument right here and actually do something fun and productive instead
>>
Map anon here updating the physical map thus far. I've changed a couple of areas to fit the more updated parts of the lore, if you see I've missed something, please tell me so I can fix it.

Also, we have to name all of the geographical elements. Out of the first 50 ??? batch, numbers 1-14; 18-24; 29-35; 37-44; 46-50 are yet to be named, so I'll add your suggestions.
Once this are named, I'll add another 50 elements to name, and so on.

Also, about the Fairytale Island. Until we don't firmly decide whether it should stay or it should be moved elsewhere, I'm not touching the place. I don't care either way, but it's a discussion we need to have, and have in a civilised way.

One thing's for sure, I really want to avoid any further landmasses added to the map. As >>84877918 points out, there's a lot of places yet to work with.

Other things I want to do are:
-Political map with cities, nation's capitals, main roads and trade routes (to be done once we fill the map).
-The lore doc (mostly covered by the wiki, link is here https://crumbling-giantstep.fandom.com/wiki/Crumbling_Giantstep_Wiki)
-An approximate timeline of the world, both for each individual nation and a general timeline for all the world.
-How the climate and season work in a flat world .
-How the day/night cycle works in a flat world.
-The Underdark Map (only to do once the maps of the surface are done).
-Smaller and more detailed maps for each region (only to do once the main physical and political maps are set in stone).

If there's anything else that's important, please let me know. I cannot promise to be able to do all, but at the very least I'll try to do as much as I can.

this map is not outdated at all, what do you mean.

>fairy isles stay because a retarded spent 6 hours breaking established rules in order to trojan horse his own shit in

you must be retarded if you think that's not the same person as the manpreg autist that's been there since thread 1, since all map updates that include fairytale land coincidentally include a manpreg island too
>>
>>84878137
and you are a person aswell. thanks for putting in all the effort with the physical map and shit. really appreaciate it
>>
>>84878156

>>84877940

>>
>>84878144
Like all the threads prior to this one have stated, manpreg island won't be added no matter how much you ask

Also, how come 3-4 people (including the OP, who has put the majority of work behind this setting) called you out last thread, are all these the same person too?

People made a compromise and told you to move the lore you wrote to an already existing island instead of creating your own, and instead or accepting that as an adult, you continued to shit the thread in a whining tantrum

>Also, about the Fairytale Island. Until we don't firmly decide whether it should stay or it should be moved elsewhere, I'm not touching the place. I don't care either way, but it's a discussion we need to have, and have in a civilised way.
The only big landmass that was added to the OG map posted in the first thread was the big island to the north, and that was done very early when almost the entire map was empty. Adding new stuff so late breaks more than it adds. Part of the lore in the area is sea trading between the platinum princedoms and Seagard, and everything in between. Having a huge landmass blocking the sea seems inconvenient.
I also think that the idea of a fairytale kingdom doesn't fit with the general disposition of the North-East. The lore of thel ands in that region tends to be more bleak, see Avangar, Luden, Kunt, Diaoul, Tarot, Kowloon, Elanxa. The more fairytale comfy fantasy zone is the North, and conveniently we already have a place literally called fairy woods.
I also think it's awfully convenient that the fairytale map also carried manpreg island shitting up the south.
>>
>>84878121
Fairytalefag and Manpregfag are one person you can see it because their stuff is always posted together.

Stop destroying the threads and just write your shot in the designated coomer threads.
>>
>>84878182
Fuck off with the Manpreg map. I absolutely hate how one autist can just destroy a whole project like that.
>>
>>84878301
Ok so please tell me what this manpreg island is you are so obsessed about. I literally just took one of OP's maps for the recent suggestions I've added. You're welcome about that btw
>>
>>84878254
This map doesn't include Kunt, for some reason.

I suggest we all wait for OP to show up and update the map hinself, since everyone else is inclined to troll
>>
>>84878279
So what do we do with the lore anons including me have written for it? Abandoning it would be pretty shit and just placing all of it on the mainland would feel forced imo
>>
>>84878254

>>
>>84878153

>>

>>
Seems like the rule for no redcons clashes with the rule of no new landmass. We need a fair trial to decide what happens now.
>>
>>84878279
Yep. Convenient how all anti-fairyland posts delete manpreg too, but all profairyland posts include Manpreg island.

Yet curiously they ignore Dickfight Island so it's not some principle of adding everything.
>>
>>84878367
>manpreg
where even is this fucking island anon?
>>
>>84878321
It's literally the male pregnancy island called Mpreg Dwarf kingdom on the map.

Right under hogman island. Nobody is in the slightest grateful to you for actively making the threads worse and destroying them just so you can push your fetish.
>>
>>84878341
>placing it on the mainland that's been there since the very first post is forced
>But posting it on a new landmass someone came up midway through the third thread isn't

Move your shit to horned ogre island, literally nothing would change as the lore is limited and everyone can continue on
>>
>>84878365
Why would anyone have a problem with that? Looks nice and the lore isn't some fetish-tier-bullshit either. Why is everyone so mad?
>>
Ok, so I'm taking doen the Fairyland Island for now. Maybe we could turn the Fairyland Island a place that appears and dissapears under certain magical conditions, but for now I'll wait until the discussion finishes to do something about it.

Also, another thing, how are the continents going to be called? That's a big priority for the geography.

If you honestly wrote lore for it then I feel like you were (understandably) duped by mpregfags trojan horse. Same thing happened to physical map anon.
>just placing all of it on the mainland would feel forced imo
I undertstand, but I think it's for the better. The north has huge strips of empty land between the bog with and Mossovoy / food island which is ripe for lore building.
Also dwarven kingdoms being located there would unintentionally fit well with the lore of Gautlan, considering that it says that the tribe of dwarves that formed that kingdom came from the north.
Kinnog is the one other land that mentions dwarves, so it's pretty fair to say that in this world Dwarves are a Western race.
>>
>>84878399
>Fairytale island is a folk story popular among the illiterate peasants living in Grobianismus. All skilled sailors and cartographers of the East of course know that there's no land to the northeast of Kunt.
>>
Harpies Peak
>Small zone in the northwest, it is plagued by manticores, harpies and many beasts.
>A cult of savagery and primal instincts is biding its time taming beasts.and recruiting hobgoblins and other evil creatures.
>They reslly hate the Zapalovach Republic and the hobbits, and this cult seeks to burn everything down and create massive hunting grounds and allow nature to return to its primal and bestial state.
>The cult leader is a mighty druid and sorcerer capable of turning normal people into were-creatures that do her bidding.
>Local adventurers are flocking nearby the harpies peak since the Zapalovach republic is offering mercenary contracts to wipe this threat of the pacific north.
>>
>>84878408
That's so convenient that someone claimed it right around when it was first suggested that you move your shit there

Not only that, but your ""updated"" maps claimed the entirety of the horned ogre islands, despite the original suggestion not even mentioning how much land the Baron Ogrus land would extend to

Grow a backbone

>>84878513
The funniest part is that the nation does not even make sense as OG horned ogre lore made them explicitly not be Maw Worshippers...

1. I actually like the name "Giantstep" from the wiki.
2. If there's a "Sun" and it goes from East to West, and East is on the right and West is on the left, like irl, then how about "Sun's repose"?
3. I think "isle of wizards" is good enough. I'd group the island with 2, personally.
4. no idea
5. Metal island / The shining shores ?

just make sure to add Kunt, as the schizo omitted it

also, what should be our stand on the baron ogrus domain? it doesn't take into account any of the lore surrounding it (it's next to a power hungry empire, for start) and was clearly made into an attempt to seize the manogre islands so they wouldn't be used as an arguement, but at the same time it doesn't clearly break any rules

Between Drunigzar and the remnants of the Merfolk Empire one can find a small, impoverished people, nicknamed the "Anchovy folk" for their large numbers and interest in fishing and dockworking.

Since the waters around their lands are poor in fish, they resort to fishing around Seagard and Luden. Due to the high amount of pollution in these waters, these poor people have developed an unnatural appearance, with bulging, unblinking, watery eyes.

"Anchovia" as they call their city and the surrounding lands, is ruled by a wealthy, fat merchant. Owner of a large manufactory in Luden, he's also an avid "White Death" user, importing it from the western city states.
>>
>>84878956
obviously keep it, as most (if not all) of the stuff he 'wrote" is actually from different people, judging by the writing style. You can't know who wrote it for sure. I'd only remove the "Baron Ogrus" part for obvious reasons, as

Why would that be OP can you elaborate on that?
t the guy that wrote all of them
I can even tell you where I stole the ideas: bladegrasslake is from a walter moers book, astromancers are just sanctaphrax from the edge chronicles. yeah you can say that but I know they are all made by me. also fuck you for reducing the astromancers and witchelven empire I did to miniature size. I went with it back then because I thought you where struggling with the thread and didn't want to make it all about me but I did not appreaciate it. I could link you all my post but why bother. Me knowing that I made them and nobody else claiming them is enough prove that I'm right

Ok, so I think I have the names of the continents:
1. Giantstep, as per the name of the Wiki. It fits very well since so many of the lands have stories about giants.
2.Scimitarian, a bit of a twisted version of the scimitar word.
3.Isle of Wizards. Its original name was created by ancient mages and it's not pronounceable by non-practicioners, so most people just call it that.
4. Smallstep. Because why not, I can't think of something better.
5. Zemyland. Zemyla in russian is land, I think, so Zemyland fits.

If everyone thinks it's fine, I believe the names of the continents should stick from now on. Besides, we still have to name a ton of geographical elements.

Sit tight, children, and let me tell you the story of the Tower of Insanity.

This little island once belonged to a wealthy, noble family from the land that now belongs to Avangar. Seeing their lands being conquered by the zealous legions of Alga, the lord fled with his servants and his family to this little rock, right here.

He built his castle anew, far away from the fanatical legions. The ogres weren't exactly friendly, but they weren't as troublesome as the suicide warriors, either.

However, the Lord's son quickly grew bored and tired of the castle. He wanted to explore the world, and one day left for greener pastures. His journey took him to the very far Isle of Wizards and the Hithlone Citadel.

The lord's son spent 20 years honing his skills of the arcane amongst illusionists and alchemists. One day, feeling homesick, he decided to sail back to his ancestral home, only to find out that his father and mother had long been dead, only a few servants still residing there.

Rueing the decision to leave his home, the lord's son started casting spells that reminded him of his childhood. One particular spell recounted the childhood tales told by his grandmother. One such tale described a fantastical kingdom to the east of Smallstep, where one could find dwarves, old people eating wolves and little girls ruling over entire countries.

The wizard was so absorbed in these memories, however, that he soon mistook them for reality. Since these waters were explored long ago by Seagardian and Zemylander sailors, no such land ever existed, of course. When his servants informed him of that, the wizard turned mad, killing them all in a raging frenzy.

Some say that one can hear the wizard screaming and speaking to himself inside his tower to this very day. It's considered bad luck to sail by this island, so sailors avoid it even in our times, taking a longer route.

So, kids, remember to not let fantasy distract you from reality!

No it was the one sensible thing to do, because a building this big makes literally 0 sense and ruins the setting same as Fairyisland and Manpreg island did. Nobody owes you accepting any retarded idea being praised.

Yet you not only actively demanded praise, but actively destroyed the thread to a point that it's beyond recovery and the only joy found it in is making fun of some autistic retard who who does not even realize how much of an embarrassment he's being.

Your blaspheming ass deserved enough whippings that you would understand you don't get to make God into a joke. And maybe if you as a kid learned not to be a brat you'd not be a brat now.

Yet you make the same mistake. Same as you defiled biblical canon with your monsters you now lurk around 4chan destroying settings and works other people worked on hard by inserting your fetishes.

Yet because you were not beaten as much as your pathetic ass deserved you even managed to convince yourself that you deserve praise and gratitude for being an actively disruptive and destructive presence. You are a parasite and a cancer, a corruptor of the good and beautiful yet in your twisted mind you demand praise for it.

Are we done? I’m going to pretend we are done, author or not (and I’m betting not) being this disruptive removes any hypothetical merit.

Anyways, I had a recent though. The east of the continent (giant something?) seems to have a more humid climate than the west, and is more full of ruins and stuff. The west, on the other hand, seems largely dryer even if it doesn’t become outright arid. The north is less cold than expected at places, while the south has a very undefined temperature.

I’m not sure if that has any implications, but we should probably do a map featuring described or implied temperatures of the written lands (I bet most are “no data”), and then work the weather of the continent.

The rivers and lakes sandwiched between the dwarven princedom of Gautlan, the Kingdom of Oront and the Azan Empire are a no man's land that formerly belonged to Azan, but no towns or villages were built there, as there was no reason to.

And that is because these wetlands are home to a species of siren, called the "Jibaro" who live in the murky waters.

These sirens use their otherworldly voices and seducing moves to lure knights, travellers, and dwarf mercenaries into their lakes, drowning them and stealing their gold and jewelry.

Some fools, not realising the true danger that lurks in these lands, purposefully venture into these lakes and rivers. They claim that if they slay a siren, they'll be able to loot all the gold they were able to scavenge at the bottom of the waterbed.

Platanus Bog is part of the bog to the south, although it's not dominated by the bog witch, hence why it's generally considered a separate realm. It's home to Wisplings, small humanoids with grey skin, who love to chase will-o-wisps, sing cheerful songs and fling their shit to each other as a game.

Despite their simple, mischievous nature, these humanoids are somewhat intelligent, trying to learn the language of humans that pass by, and setting up clever tricks on them.

In the middle of the bog there's a large clearing where there's a huge, ancient Platanus tree. Inside there's a beating heart surrounded by sturdy branches.

It's said that the heart is actually a demon that rebelled against the Bog Witch and made its way to the Platanus. The wisplings consider it a god and pray to it.

This is Zyla Gora. It's a low mountain surrounded by villages. The tallest of these peaks is home to The Great Hollow, a hollowed out oak tree with a series of twisted branches and roots that lead deep down the earth's crust.

Every year, many crone sisters of the Bog Witch travel to Zyla Gora, where every village offers two children (one girl and one boy) to the witches. The Witches then hold their Sabbath, which takes places several days, where they dance and have sex with succubi without stopping for a single moment.

The lands to the left of Terpysythea is a collection of many small villages collectively known as "the remnants".
After the great victory of the Azannean legions during the First Azan-drow war, the emperor of the azure throne took all lands east of the drow mountains, up to the south. Soon after, citizens of the empire began to migrate there, specially the soldiers, who's unpaid salaries were redeemed in the form of vast land grants. Soon after, many Azanni colonies dotted the land, specially in the south where the ground has a smaller ash component.
But when the drow counter-attacked 14 years later (in what is now known as the second Azan-drow war) and the imperial fleet was decimated at the Sea of Merchants, the dark elves retook the lands up to the Terusian isthmus. All humans living in the eastern Scimitarian mainland were either killed or fled, with the exception of the communities in the south.
The local provincial exarch quickly chose to submit to the drow, and thus his subjects were allowed to stay. The so called "remnants" of the empire's Western colonies have been quite useful to the drow since then, as the dark elves' natural aversion to sunlight renders them poor farmers. And even through the ample use of slave work, the drow heartland is agriculturally poor, being cold, dark and of ashen soil.
Toda, most of the food produced by the remnant communities is given as tribute to the drow. What remains is consumed by the locals or exported throughout the Sunset sea. The fruit of the indigo tree, which only grows in Scimitaria, is particularly popular among Lorientin nobles.

These are medieval empires or confederations whose concept of ownership does not necessarily reflect on modern ideas, but on agrarian principles. Nobody farms the desert, nobody cultivates the desert, nobody lives in the desert, so the claim would be meaningless for people whose idea of ownership intrinsically requires subjects. It would make as much sense as claiming the seas.

The land between the star people, the exiled Aruandans and the Blind Bastard's domain is home to the Mumak. Those people detest water, as the lake to the west is always cloaked by a mysterious fog.

Instead, they prefer to ride on top of Elephants, who have two sets of tusks, instead of four, blowing their massive horns as they charge into battle. They prefer their arid shrublands of (insert peninsula name here), avoiding the humid jungle of unspeakable horrors to the south.

The Mumak have tattoos on their bodies, different between each clan, and also have different piercings and earrings that indicate which caste they belong to.

They often clash with the Blind Bastard's Domain (that's a mouthful), who want to extend their empire to the south. Even though they were often warring with the star people and the Losso Nar state, they've now formed a temporary defensive alliance against the exiled Azanneese.

With tensions evergrowing, their Mahûd, Umbar Hurakim, has given orders for envoys to be sent to the ever elusive misty people, in hopes of help against the Blind Bastard.

The Drow (some of them, I guess?) are hostile to the Azan Empire. The Lemon Kingdom is the vassal of Lorient, while the crab people are hostile to the Gnoll. Kinoog is in semi control of Moreelse, too.

What about the Witch Elves? Are the human city states in the west at war with the drow city states? Any other ongoing wars?
>>
>>84881972
the mumak wanting to expand their territory, of course. the star people would have no choice but to defend themselves. or maybe, the mumak used to live in the star people lands, and when the crater crashed, they blamed the aliens and started to persecute them, triggering a war between them

The Gnolls are relatively recent I imagine maybe 200-250 years old? The changrilans might have been trading with the Khenomeric Empire which the Gnolls conquered, but the Khenomerics were already in a millennia long cycle of decline imagine 1444 Byzantium, so cultural outrage at most.

I don't know if they'd trade. The Gnolls don't seem like the kind who can keep mutual trade going

The Desert of the Weriest is known to have very little of value, there was nothing of value there before the Star People brought their alien cows. The most probable cause of conflict is the Mumak wanting to steal their cattle.

>do they have some diplomatic relations?
I don't think so.
Considering that there's no sea to the south, the world just falls down vertically. This means that for contact between Changrila and the gnolls to be established, it either has to go all the way through the sea, which is an extremely long route, or overland, which has it's own difficulties considering you have to pass steppes, jungles, bogs, etc... Even the Joois merchants don't go further East than the city of Gulam.

Think Wild West cowboys riding horses... but with lightning revolvers. The Mumeks could still win through numbers, but the wins would not cover the losses.

The Bakir Saharahadadad Sultanate is a prosperous kingdom east to the Bagdassi Confederation. It was first funded by wandering nomads that lived off of trade between the many small cities that cover the land, too isolated from each other to offer a serious resistance to the expansion of the nomad tribes, desperate for resources after a deadly plague had destroyed most of their cattle. After the conquest of the land was stopped by an alliance of bagdassi cities, the need to restore the land's prosperity forced an uneasy alliance between them and the bagdassi: Each one would allow the passing of camel caravans from coast to coast, crossing the frontier undisturbed (but not untaxed) to allow trade between the different seas that would otherwise require sailing the entire continent. This proved immensly successful, and it now provides for most of the sultanate's profits. However, the ever ambitious sultan family has its eyes on the Bagdassi lands, wanting to conquer them once and for all to monopolise the trade. Tensions come and go from both sides, but neither one ever does anything that could become something serious enough to kill the business...

>Great Kingdom of Nes and Fitt
I really need to redo its lore.
>>
>>84882755
The Great Kingdom of Nes and Fitt is not a kingdom. Neither it is a state in any shape or form. It is the land of the God of Action resides. The God of Action might not be a true god, but a very powerful spirit that feeds off of danger and adventure. Whatever it trully is, it has crafted the island to be as perilous as possible, a true challenge for survival for any civilised creature. The God of Danger will often pick random individuals from across the world and let them free on the isle (in particular he enjoys picking on the followers of the Goddess of Harmony), to see how they fend for themselves against ever increasing odds: the most dangerous fauna, carnivorous and poisonous flora, terrible floods and scorching heats, tribes of cannibals ready to sacrifice you, monsters extinct everywhere else in the world, pirates that will fight to the death to defend their hidden treasure, hunters that pursue the most dangerous game, explosions that will chase you to improbable distances... Very few of the people brought to the island will survive, but those who learn, adapt and ultimately dominate their inner adventure will be blessed by the God of Action, turning them into apex individuals, reaching beyond the cenit of their physical and mental capabilities.

The God of Danger is a strange and eccentric being. It cannot stand still for very long, it gets bored fast and from time to time its need for action will be so great it will make it explode at seemingly random intervals. Those who have seen the God of Action and survive tell the tale of a being looking like a young human man, with strange flashy clothes never seen anywhere else, and talking with a strange accent and jargon, always watching the captured beings he threw into its island.

>>Orc'Eire

The Orcs of Orc'Eire or Orkeir, came to the verdant island, full of rolling green hills, thick dense supernatural forests, and spiraling ironoak trees. The Orcs here who have branched off of a nomadic spiritual tribe of Orcs in the long ago.

Orc'Eire was not always tamed by the Orcs that came, as the islands and islets were home to warring Bugbear tribes. The Bugbear of Orc'Eire revere a terrible god of the depths named Nuckelavee, and his horrific spawn that torment the islands.

Over time, the Orcs conquered, and pacified the island save for a three Bugbear tribes forming into a warlord state towards the south west, making the emerald jewel of the island not as ephemeral as it appears.

Now days, the Orkeire clans often war with another as many long houses and strongholds, and Dunns(Hill Cities) dot the landscape.

>Fallen Kingdom of Kinnog (Additional information)

>History:

This region has changed hands on countless occasions, and at various points throughout its history have belonged to the Ancient Western Elf Empire, several iterations of the Ancient Azan Empire, the Kinnog Dwarves, and a string of Drow nations. However, aside from the dwarves, all the previous rulers of this realm have considered it a worthless peripheral territory, good only perhaps for a few coastal forts to protect trade routes. The drow city-state of Benzovarr was the last coherent nation to claim control of this area, but Benzovarr pulled its forces out over a century ago to focus on other matters, leaving behind a scattering of small plantations and villages.

>Government:

Each community is essentially independent, and ruled by whoever is able to muster the most fighters, whether it be a dwarf clan chieftain, Harpy’s Eyes alchemist, exiled drow or human noble, pirate captain, or Three Sisters slaver. Most communities consist of crude huts built in and around ancient forts and mines, but a few modern villas and forts exist as well.

>Economy:

Trade is fairly minimal. Some ships from Calcabra stop in Kinnog on the way to and from lands to the east, but most ships from Calcabra travel northwards instead. White Death production was a boom industry for a few years, but then new plantations were built closer to Moreelse, with the remaining ones in Kinnog mostly supplying Calcabra.

Supporting jungle expeditions (many of them secretly Harpy’s Eyes operations) is also a moderate source of income in some communities, as is supporting Triarchy and drow slaving expeditions to Orc’eire.

Piracy and smuggling operations are not uncommon, mostly targeting Calcabra shipping. The stormy coastal waters also lead to many shipwrecks, and maritime salvaging is popular and profitable.
>>
>>84887635

Probably the biggest source of wealth is coin and jewelry brought with the exiled elite of other nations. Nobles from the drow city-states, Azan, Calcabra, and beyond sometimes go to ground here. Some are robbed blind on their first week, but many are hardened rebels and criminals who arrive with their own fighters, and a strong grasp of dealing with unstable situations. Some become pirates, others middlemen in smuggling and slavery operations, and others simply pay well to ensure their life in exile is comfortable.

Farming and fishing is mostly subsistence level, with some surplus sent to the larger communities. Coastal communities rely mostly on fishing, with some agriculture (pigs, chickens, bananas, breadfruit, rice, sugarcane and rum) and foraging (swamp melon, mud eels, giant leeches). Inland communities (mostly dwarven) rely more on sheep farming in ancient meadows, or subterranean mushroom farming).

>Foreign Relations:

Orc’eire – The communities of Orc’eire and Kinnog have been raiding each other for slaves for ages. Relations are poor.

Red Lotus Congregation – The Cult has little interest in Kinnog and the feeling is mutual, though some runaways from the Cult end up in Kinnog, which has gradually soured relations.

Calcabra – Calcabra is aware that drug smugglers and pirates operate out of Kinnog, but have made only sporadic raids against the communities they see as the worst offenders.

SonQo Temples – Besides a few dwarf clans and explorers, few in Kinnog are even aware of the SonQo temples, but those that are generally avoid them.

Moreelse – Officially Kinnog is of little interest to Moreelse aside from some “harmless scholars and archaeologists”, unofficially, the Harpy’s Eyes Syndicate is quite powerful in Kinnog, though they generally ignore anything that isn’t a threat to their operations, and in fact have investments in certain pirate and slaving operations.
>>
>>84887649

The Triarchy – Slavers from the Triarchy use Kinnog as a base to capture orcs from Orc’eire and the Kinnog Jungles. Slavers also sometimes attack the smaller communities of Kinnog itself, but it is generally not seen as worth it given that many Kinnog communities have powerful secret allies.

Terpysythea/Terpsythea – Officially Kinnog is far too unimportant to be of interest to the elite in Hithlone, but unofficially some councilors are customers of its slaving operations (via the Triarchy) or in the pocket of the Harpy’s Eyes.

The Drow – The drow withdrew from Kinnog over a century ago, and show little interest in going back. A few drow slaving and smuggling rackets are believed to operate through middlemen in Kinnog, but likely only for high value goods.

>Geography:

Kinnog is a foul, bug infested stretch of salt marsh, rock, and jungle.

The coastal areas are predominantly rocky ridges and small, extinct volcanoes separated by sandbars, salt marsh, and patches of jungle scrub. Inland is mostly the same, though the terrain is a bit more smooth, thus supporting some larger patches of jungle and a few hilltop meadows. In the highest regions, a few forests of red leafed trees thrive, imported from the far east.

>Demographics:

Several different races can be found in Kinnog, including:

Humans – From pretty much any ethnicity found in the west and southwest. Most still retain their old cultures, or get assimilated into the dominant culture in their village, but the old blood members of a particular community often develop their own strange traditions, worshipping strange sea spirits, believing in obscure superstitions, and sometimes even retaining bits of drow culture for those who descend from slaves.
>>
File: Half Drow.png (780 KB, 700x990)
780 KB
780 KB PNG
>>84887661

Dwarves – The remaining dwarves live in small, inbred clans. As they likely descend from former drow slaves, many seem a bit slow in the head compared to other dwarves, either living simple lives in the ruins of their ancestral homes, or living among the coastal communities with other races, though some of the more enterprising individuals try to make a living via petty theft, banditry, or joining pirate crews or becoming loyal enforcers.

Drow and Half-Drow – Few pureblood drow live in Kinnog. Those that do live in caves and other sheltered places, and often rely on lackeys to serve them in the daylight. But drow are a fearsome race, and those in Kinnog are often the most dangerous kind of exile, almost inevitability high in the Kinnog pecking order no matter what they do to make a living. Half-drow are far more common. Although rare elsewhere, in Kinnog they make a significant portion of the population in some communities, and their appearance is rarely seen as noteworthy. Half-drow tend to assimilate into human communities unless they still have ties to the drow.

Half-Elves – Generally hailing from Calcabra, western half-elves are among the last remnants of the almost forgotten Western Elf Empire. Long-lived, attractive, and intelligent, they are generally high status individuals in their homeland with little reason to come to Kinnog, though a recent power struggle in Calcabra has resulted in several hundred being dumped in Kinnog by unsavory smugglers.

Sea Elves – The sea elves in Kinnog are said to descend from traitors who sided with the drow in some ancient war. They worship a cynical and bitter drow outcast god, and tend to be loners who make a living diving for shells, or scouting for pirates, smugglers, or slavers.

Eel-Folk – Believed to be an offshoot of the now lost merfolk race, eel-folk mostly prefer to mind their own business, but find land dwellers fascinating, and can sometimes be bartered with.
>>
>>84887674

Raider Races – A catch-all term for semi-feral savages that live in the jungle. Some like the orcs and bugbears are believed to be native to the area, others likely descend from imported slaves. Usually seen as little more than monsters, though most communities have at least a few that have partially assimilated to “civilized” life. They are also a common sight among pirate crews, jungle bandits, and criminal enforcers.

>Religion:

Mostly whatever the followed in their nation of origin, but some of the more criminal minded communities follow the Tri-Saints of Lust, Greed, and Wrath, and a few odd shamanistic traditions have sprung up in the more remote communities.

>Military:

No central military, but most communities have a hardened militia to deal with raids and disorder, as well as creatures from the jungle like orcs, goblins, bugbears, ogres, trolls, harpies, and jungle dryad.

The empty land between the Blesire States and the Mountain Hobbits lies the Kingdom of the Golden Highlands.

The Golden Highlands are known for their rugged hills, rolling plains, fertile fields, and broadleaf forests. The land contains lakes and rivers, and the hills conceal systems of caves and caverns. The Golden Highlands are not the largest, most populous, or most fertile part of the Scimitarian continent (peninsula?), but they are the richest. Full of hills and crags, the land is dotted with mines from which pour gold and silver in astonishing quantities.

This is part of the reason why the Golden Highlands are independent from the Blesire states. The large ore deposits have brought enormous wealth to the Highlands, almost rivaling the wealth of the southern city states.
They are actually ruled by a Lord Paramount (and not a king, despite the name) from his large fortress carved out of a massive hill

Many people from the Blesire states and South Belsirya migrate to the Highlands, seeking their fortune. There are settlements which become ghost towns once nearby mines stop producing ore, which is something that becomes ever so common nowadays..

Depending on what Clan holds Or'krillyon, the great capital of Orc'eire, foreign/trade relations with neighbors fluctuates.

Right now, Clan Bansheebane, a wraith and undead hunting clan currently controls the holds of Or'krillyon, and seek to establish a relation with the Grand Duchy of Calcabra.

Although Bansheebane is in power, it is tense at best with Clan Dragondare quicly rallying the other warrior based clans behind them to seize power, potentially throwing the disunited clans of Orc'erie into Civil War.

attention fa/tg/uys. in a fit of autism i have begun to redo the entire map in paint.net so it looks less deep fried. all countries will be done up in the same font. it will be political ONLY - so nothing to do with patterns of ogre settlement or whatever. only manogre princedoms will be recognized. will try to post periodic updates
THIS IS NOT OP

Good luck anon. Will you make a political-only map? Or will it include unclaimed but named natural spaces? Because that's something I'm going to do once the physical map is mostly done.

Ι assume the map will be like the one we have right now but less of an eye-cancer? If so, nice initiative. Might as well make the next thread with that map to kick start things well
