/qst/ - Quests

Eight years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza's army. Since that day, the Saiyans have acted as the emperor's loyal soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and wiping out all who oppose Lord Freeza's rule. As mighty conquerors, destroying all who have stood against them, the Saiyans have made quite a reputation for themselves as some of Freeza's most powerful and loyal subjects.

The tales of the Super Saiyans have especially grown larger than life as of late. Two exceptional warriors, clad in glorious golden auras and leading charges against impossible odds: fighting legendary assassins, powerful demons, and entire armies by themselves, even facing Lord Freeza himself and surviving.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 739. You the players control Karn, a Saiyan Berserker with a powerlevel of 256,672 and are a leader of your own attack squadron. Your current teammates are:
Meloka- Blaster, 182,628

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

You met with the Tamaranean princess Komand’r, learned some of their customs, then enjoyed a feast. After that you challenged her to one on one combat. an item in her posession boosting her strength beyond a Super Saiyan, forcing you to Ascend to defeat her. Once victorious and securing her in one of your Healing Pods, you regroup with Meloka in the dungeons to free the Ctarl-Ctarl. You then find the source of the mysterious voice, a girl locked in a tiny cell. After hearing some of the young witch’s story, you offer to take her with you, which she accepts willingly. As we rejoin the story Karn and Raven are just finishing their handshake.

“Glad to have you with us.” you say, pulling your hand back through the door. “Now, let’s get you out of there.”

Throwing the door’s lock back, with the awful screeching of metal grinding on metal, you unbolt the door, pulling it wide open for the small witch.

“Thank you.” she says, opening the portal again and placing the book back where it belongs then rising unsteadily to her feet. She tries to take a step, instead her legs just collapse under her and she falls forward. You react immediately, moving forward and catching the young witch around her middle before she can hit the ground. You’re actually rather alarmed, how long was she sitting in there for her leg muscles to have atrophied to this level?

You can’t think on this long, as several guards have rushed over to you. They’re all pointing their spears at you, speaking in their own language you can’t understand. But the meaning is clear; “What the hell are you doing?”

Well?
>Try and explain to them she’s one of yours now
>Telepathically tell them to stand down
>Just glare back at them, then try and carry Raven past them
>Flare up your Super Saiyan aura, blind them then walk by

You wonder for a moment on how to effectively communicate with them, then remember what the Guardian had taught you back when you were first studying under him. Everyone, regardless of language, communicates in ideas. Mind to mind communication transcends the use of language. You put that to use now.

“Don’t even think about it.” you think to the group of guards. “Do the eight of you really think you can slow me down? Did you already forget what I did to your princess earlier?”

At this their resolve obviously wavers, the guards clearly uncertain of facing you, so you press your advantage.

“Stand down, I won the contest with your princess fair and square, the prisoner’s mine.” you order them, the guards reluctantly doing so and turning their spears aside. You step through them unaccosted, carrying Raven over to Meloka and Aisha, who have just let the last of the Ctarl-Ctarl out. They both turn as you approach, Aisha looking between Raven and Meloka as if she expects a fight.

“So it was you.” Meloka says, taking in the sight of you carrying Raven over towards her. “Good to finally meet you.”
“Meloka, this is Raven.” you say, lifting the small witch slightly. “Raven, this is Meloka, and I’m sure you’re already aware of Aisha.”
“I am.” she says flatly at Aisha, then looks over to Meloka. “So you’re Meloka. After seeing Karn, I thought you’d be taller.”

Meloka’s eye slightly twitches, but before she or you can say anything, the guard you can understand walks over.

“That’s the last of them.” he says, noticing Raven in your arms and backing up slightly. “They’ve been moved to the arena, they’re now yours to do with as you will, as agreed on.”

“Thank you very much, that’ll be all for now.” you tell the guard, him turning and walking out. You all follow, taking to the air and flying instead of walking, able to make the trip back outside rather quickly. Aisha seems the happiest to be outside, while Raven pulls her hood down over her face more.

“Ahhh, sunlight! How I missed you!” Aisha shouts, then takes off down to the arena with the rest of her people, you see them all stretching very cat-like in the sun. A few have started fighting, not seriously but enough to better stretch their muscles. Meanwhile, Meloka floats there with you, waiting on you.

But what will you do?

Meloka takes Raven to your ship while some of your pilots bring the Ctarl-Ctarl ship over wins. Writing.
>>
>>2298178
“I’ll watch over the Ctarl-Ctarl.” you say, handing Raven over to Meloka. “If you wouldn’t mind, take her to the ship and get her settled in for me?”
“Alright.” Meloka says, the sight of her holding the larger girl somewhat funny to you. Before they can take off, Raven speaks up.

“If we’re not going to be walking, I’d rather fly myself if that’s okay.” she says, eyes glowing white then levitating out of Meloka’s arms. “No offense.”

Neither you or Meloka have anything to say, just looking on in confusion. Meloka recovers before you do, just shaking her head and gesturing for Raven to follow her. They fly off, you taking another moment then focusing on the task at hand. Opening your scouter’s comms, you hail your pilots and order two of them to fly the Ctarl-Ctarl ship over to your location. After a chorus of “Yes sir”s, you cut the comms, focusing on watching the rowdy Ctarl-Ctarl. You notice the stadium is ringed by very tense Tamaranean guards. You can’t blame them really, to them the Ctarl-Ctarl are nothing more than foreign invaders after all. You watch over them all intensely, making sure none of them do something stupid. After a minute or so of stretching, Aisha calls up to you. You float down a bit, and she flies up to you.

“Aaaahhh, feels so good to be free.” she says, flexing and purring contentedly. “But none of these runts can give me a proper workout. Whaddya say, wanna go a round or two?”

“You get everyone to clear off the arena and into the stands, sure.” you say, shrugging. “As good a way to pass the time as any.”
“Alright! Leave it to me!” she says, spinning midair then shouting down at the rest of her forces. “Alright grunts listen up!”

Her shout stops everyone below, the gathered Ctarl-Ctarl all stopping and looking up at the two of you. Smirking self-satisfied at you, she turns back to them and continues.

“Ok everyone clear off the arena! My turn to show you all how its done! If you don’t get outta the way you’re gonna get whomped!”

They comply rather quickly, scrambling off of the arena while you contemplate what a “whomp” is. Half a minute later the arena’s fully clear, all the Ctarl-Ctarl having moved back to the stands. Aisha floats down to land on one side of the massive crater in the middle, you doing the same.

“I’ve been looking forward to this!” she says, baring her fangs and claws and taking an aggressive stance. You drop into your stance as well, both of you waiting to see who’ll make the first move. The entire arena goes quiet, everyone watching intensely, waiting to see how this battle turns out.

During the staredown, you focus on Aisha’s power, doing your best to accurately gauge her strength. She’s grown quite a bit since your last fight so long ago, but she’s nowhere near your current power. Maybe a quarter or a third of your strength. Focusing for a moment you drop your power, reducing it to half to closer match her strength. During this she hasn’t made a move, so you decide you will. Blitzing off of the ground, you rush Aisha.

Your sudden explosion of movement catches her off-guard, but she still manages to block your first strike, a right to the temple.
“Is that all you’ve go-?” she tries to taunt, but you hadn’t stopped moving. You twist clockwise past her, slamming a hard left backfist into the back of her head. The strike knocks Aisha down to the ground, but she recovers before you can attack her further. Pushing off with her hands she attempts a donkey kick, but you’re ready. You lean back under the powerful kick, striking her cleanly in the gut with a direct knee. Your strike winds her, the force lifting her a foot or so in the air. Now she’s done it.

Following up that stunning hit, you unleash a bit of your pent-up frustration towards the Ctarl-Ctarl for the trouble they’ve caused. Over and over you strike her, until she finally roars in frustration, sphere of ki expanding out around her. It throws you skyward, but doesn’t really do any damage. Looking down you see that you’ve worn her down quite a bit, she’s standing in place and trying to catch her breath. Its clear you hold the definite advantage here.

What will you do now?

You look down at Aisha, who’s struggling to catch her breath after your relentless attack. Instead of pressing the assault, you remain where you are, crossing your arms while you wait. After a few moments she regains control, snarling up at you. In response you simply drop back down into your stance, then gesture for her to come to you. Taking the bait Aisha explodes off of the ground, rushing at you claws-first. You smirk as she closes in, leaning back bast her slashing strike and kicking her in the ribs. She snarls in pain, then tries to grab your leg. Before she can you twist, kicking her in the head with your other foot and sending her reeling back. You flip back while she’s open, dropping back into your stance as she recovers from your hit.

You can hear the crowd of Ctarl-Ctarl below, some cheering and others booing, but at least their focus is all on you and Aisha. She launched herself at you in your moment of distraction, but she’s far too slow. You block each of her attacks, Aisha unable to land a solid hit. Snarling in frustration, she keeps trying in vain to hit you, only for you to keep taking advantage of her reckless attacks.

Ducking and twisting past a wild swing, you deliver a crushing elbow strike to her ribs, the Ctarl-Ctarl crying out in pain. Following it up, you spin behind her back and hit her with a right backfist to her left cheekbone, snapping her head sideways. She tries to retaliate with a spinning right turning kick, only for you to block her kick with your left arm and deliver an uppercut to her chin, sending her flying. Pursuing close, you grab her by the leg, then turn and toss her back down into the arena floor far below. She lands with a crash, you floating down beside the new crater in the arena as the dust starts clearing.

Leaning over the edge, your head was nearly taken off by Aisha’s claws, the Ctarl-Ctarl leaping from the smoke and swiping at your head. You easily dodge the strike, flipping backwards and catching her chin with your foor, sending her skyward. Aisha tumbles a dozen or so feet before regaining control, glaring down at you.

“Not bad, Super Saiyan.” she says as she glares at you, licking her blood off of her chin then grinning at you. “But I’m not done yet.”

You drop back into your stance, waiting to see what Aisha does next. You aren’t left waiting long, the Ctarl-Ctarl rushing headlong at you again with a shout. You dodge her strikes, then find your opening. Reaching out, you grab Aisha by the face, rearing back to slam her into the ground. With a shout you slam her down, only for the Ctarl-Ctarl to reverse it at the last moment, slamming you into the ground first. You lay there stunned for a moment, how did she do that?

“So we’re doin this now huh?” she asks, taking a rather unusual stance. “Alright but you asked for it. I’ll have you know I was a champion in the ring!”

“AISHA! AISHA! AISHA!” the crowd starts chanting, you rising to your feet and squaring up to the Ctarl-Ctarl.

“So you were a champion, huh?” you ask, popping your neck. “Perfect. Time to put what I learned to the test.”

You and Aisha stand off, you in your usual stance and Aisha in that odd, hunched-over stance. You make the first move this time, a quick jab to the nose. She’s unable to block in time, your strike bloodying her nose. However, she grabs your arm with both her arms and legs, catching you in an armbar. Before she can completely lock it in you punch her in the nose again, this time with your other hand. Disoriented, you toss her off of you, throwing her into the crater. She flips like, well, a cat, landing feet first on the side of the crater and launching herself into you, spearing you. The force of the blow knocks you back a few feet, your boots digging twin trenches in the arena floor until you come to a stop. Before she can move, you grab her by the waist with both hands, lifting her overhead and slamming her headfirst into the arena floor. The force of your slam buries her to the waist, only her legs sticking out.

Stunned silence reigns over the arena, then the Ctarl-Ctarl burst into cheers. After another moment Aisha starts squirming and kicking, trying to free herself. Catching both her flailing ankles, you leap up into the air, pulling Aisha with you. Before she can try to free herself, you flip forward, slamming her face-first into the arena floor.

“Nyaaaaow!” she shouts, but before she can move you strike. Moving forward you grab both of her arms, pulling them back as you stand on her spine, bending the Ctarl-Ctarl like a bow. You have her pinned, she’s struggling with all her might but she cannot free herself.

“Give up Aisha, its over.” you say, bending her spine further backward. Much more and it could cause serious damage, and she knows it.

“Grrrrr! Fine, I give up, I give up! Let me go!” she shouts, you releasing her. Aisha flops to the ground, sighing in relief. “Ahhhh, that’s better.”

The stands explode into cheers and boos, the sound overwhelming. Aisha remains laying there a moment, then rises to her feet as a shadow looms overhead. Looking up, you see the large Ctarl-Ctarl ship overhead.

“Alright everybody! Shut up and listen up!” Aisha shouts, the Ctarl-Ctarl going silent. “Looks like its time for us to get the hell outta here! Everybody on the ship!”
“On the ship!” they all chorus, racing to be the first on board. Aisha turns towards you, fist outstretched. You return the gesture, the Ctarl-Ctarl tapping your fist with hers.

“You’ve gotten a whole lot stronger!” she says, excitement in her voice. But you’re not that great at wrestling yet. You need some practice! Anyways, see ya around!”

With that she takes off up toward her ship, barking orders at the Ctarl-Ctarl and forcing her way inside. Another minute of chaos goes by before the Ctarl-Ctarl are all inside their ship, the doors closing then blasting off into space. You watch as they go, then the guards all leave as well, flying off back to the palace. You’re now standing in the ruins of the arena alone, nothing urgent to do.

Lifting into the air, you focus on the energies from your ship to orient yourself. Taking off towards your ship at a slow pace, you focus your mind on your daughter Chaya, and think out towards her.

“Hey Chaya, can you hear me?” you think out, focusing on her.
“DAADDY!!” she thinks back, you can tell she’s happy. “Its not bedtime yet, why you call early? Is something wrong?”
“No, nothing’s wrong kiddo.” you reply, concerned her first thought was that something went wrong. “I’ve got great news! After I finish up here I’m coming home for awhile.”
“REALLY? YAAAAAAAAAAY!!” you can almost feel her enthusiasm, her emotions coming through the mental link. “When will you be home?”
“Soon.” you reply. “Not sure when yet. But once its over, I’m coming home. So make sure you behave for me until I get back, alright?”
“Yuuuuussss!!” she replies, a smile coming to your face at how happy she seems. “Wuv you!”
“I...” what she says catches you off guard, but you catch yourself quick enough and finish. “Love you too Chaya.”
“Yaaaaaay! Byeee Daddy!”
“Bye Chaya.”

And with that, she’s gone. Your smile doesn’t disappear for the entire trip back to the ship. Once there you walk inside and up to the bridge, ordering the pilot to connect to Freeza’s line. After a few moments he appears on the screen in his first form.

“Yes? Oh, hello there my friend. I take it that your rescue of those Ctarl-Ctarl was successful then?”
“Of course, Lord Freeza.” you say, still smiling. “They’re headed back towards friendly space now. I’ll be here awhile longer, then we’ll head back to New Salda as well.”
“Very well done Karn.” Freeza says. “With this you’ve more than earned a bit of time off. Come back to New Salda when your task is finished, General Karn. I believe that with your extraordinary efforts over the past several months you’ve more than earned a reprieve.”
“Thank you Lord Freeza.” you say, giving him a Saiyan salute, your emperor smiling then cutting the comms. With that done you sigh out, then order the pilot to set a course for New Salda. You can’t leave yet, but you’re wondering how long it’ll take to go home. After a few moments, the computer finishes the calculations. Three months. It’ll only take three months to get home from here. This lifts your spirits even further, this has been a good day. But it isn’t over yet.

What will you do now?

For a moment you contemplate checking up with the Guardian and Vegeta, but you’ll see them soon enough. You have matters much closer at hand to handle. Making up your mind, you make your way over to the Medical Bay to check up on Komand’r. Walking through the halls, you get the feeling you’re being watched. But looking around, the hall is empty but for you and your shadow. Shrugging it off you keep walking, but your senses are all on high alert. Your instincts haven’t failed you yet, no reason to doubt them now. After a tense, uneventful minute, you arrive at the Medical Bay, door sliding open to let you in.

Walking inside, you see Komand’r is still suspended in the Healing Pod, Dr. White and Mouse tending to the soldier you’d helped heal earlier. Leaving them to their work, you walk over to the Healing Pod, checking on Komand’r’s condition. From what you cab tell, her physical injuries are almost completely healed. Even the holes you put through her arms are mended. Won’t be long now.

“What you want?” Dr. White shouts at you, you turning to face him. “She not healed yet. Come back later!”
“Don’t worry, I was just checking up on her.” you say, putting your arms up in surrender and walking over to him. “Have you checked up on Raven yet?”
“The prisoner?” he asks, and when you nod in confirmation he continues. “Severe muscle atrophy, and some malnutrition. She must been in there for 5 year, minimum.”
“Wait, five years?!” you ask, astounded. You zone out for a moment, mind lost in the implications of being trapped in a box that small for that long. You’d go insane. Snapping back to focus, you listen to what else the doctor has to say.
“-Be fine once she works muscles and gets them used to work again, but she have to take it slow. She won’t be in good shape for quite some time. She’s over at room Meloka led her to now, I think two door down from yours.”
“Thanks Doc.” you say, waving and walking out, headed toward Raven’s new room to see how she’s settling in. Walking through the halls, you still know that the presence is following you, but you can’t place it. You know you’re alone, there’s no ki signatures near you but somehow you know you’re being watched. You keep your attention focused, but again your trip is uneventful. You arrive at the door, but before you can reach for it an oddly luminescent black energy surrounds it, the door sliding open well before it should. On edge, you still walk through, Raven sitting in a corner of the room with one of her books.

“Settling in okay?” you ask her, walking over. “This room good?”
“Its too big.” she says, pulling her book a little closer to her face. “I don’t like it.”
“Don’t worry about it.” you say, sitting down beside her, a foot away. “You just need to make it your own space. How about your books, want to bring those in here?”

Regardless, instead of getting STRONK she can just focus on magic and psionics, since she's already good at that anyways.

“Can I?” she asks, shutting the book and looking up to you hopefully.
“Of course.” you reply, putting a hand on her shoulder. “I wouldn’t have offered if I didn’t mean it.”
“Th-Thank you.” she says, offering up a small smile. She sets the book aside, eyes glowing white as she holds up a hand. That same glowing black energy appears around her hand, the portal appearing at the end of it. She then tries to move the bookcase with her energy, but nothing happens. It rattles a bit, but doesn’t budge. She angrily sighs out, the odd black energy disappearing from around the close bookcase.

“I-I can’t do it.” she says, sounding dejected. I can’t pull the whole thing in.”
“Don’t sweat it.” you say, walking through the portal. She widens it as you get close, allowing you to walk through standing straight up. You walk right up to the bookcase, powering down from a Super Saiyan to keep from accidentally smashing it, then gently lifting in and carrying it back through. You set it down beside her against the wall, then turn back to her. “Is this good.”
“Its perfect.” she says, flying up to you and latching on. “Thank you so m-“

As if on cue, Meloka, still as a Super Saiyan, walks through the door. She raises an eyebrow at the scene, an akward silence hanging over the room.

Well, now what?

“Meloka, just in time, want to help me move a few things?” you ask walking over to her, Raven still clutching you around the neck. You can actually feel Raven trembling in your arms, causing you to look at her curiously. “Hey, you okay?”

Meloka picks up on that something’s wrong, looking concerned at Raven as well. She looks back and forth between you both, then sighs out.

“Sorry.” she says, letting go of you and drifting back down to the ground. “I guess I should explain. I’m an empath.”
“Empath?” Meloka asks. “What’s that?”
“I can feel the emotions of those around me.” she says, looking down at her hands. “I’ve always had this ability, ever since I was little. Even before the rest of my powers began to manifest. Everyone I knew called me a freak, or a monster, or worse. Everyone but my mother....”

After she says that last line, she goes quiet, hugging her oversized cloak around herself. No one says anything for a moment, then you kneel down in front of her and place a comforting hand on her shoulder. She jumps, your action catching her by complete surprise.

“So you feel everyone around you’s emotions at all times? Must be rough.” she just looks up at you, confusion and wonder all over her face as you stand. “C’mon Meloka. Let’s give her a hand.”

“Yo-you’re not...?” she asks, full of uncertainty. “You’re not mad at me?”
“Why would I be, for something you were born with?” you ask her. “You have a rare gift Raven. That makes you quite special.”

“S-Special?” she asks, looking down at her hands again. You nod to Meloka while Raven’s occupied and walk back through the portal she left open. Meloka powers down as well, you each grabbing another bookcase and carrying it through. While Raven sits there contemplating, you and Meloka make quick work carrying the small library into her room. She seems not to notice what’s going on, until you pick her up and move her aside, Meloka placing the last bookcase where she was sitting. Snapping out of it, Raven looks around, eyes lighting up.

“So, what do you think?” you ask her.

“Its, its perfect!” she shouts, wrapping her arms around your neck. “Thank you so much!”
“Hey, don’t worry about it.” you reply, laughing. “You’re one of us now, remember? We take care of each other.”
“R-Right.” she says, wiping an eye then floating over to Meloka and hugging her as well. “Thank you.”

She then whispers something to Meloka that you can’t hear, the two exchanging words a few moments, then Meloka speaks up.
“Forget about it.” Meloka says. “Its not a problem.”
“Thank you both again, so much.” Raven says, closing the portal and crossing her legs, floating, pulling several of the books from the shelves. She opens all of them with her power, the books all floating around her. Meloka nods to you, the both of you making a quiet exit.

“I think she’ll be just fine.” Meloka tells you, answering the unasked question as the door to Raven’s room shuts behind you. “But what’re we gonna do until Komand’r wakes up?”

Well?

“C’mon, let’s get some time in the Gravity Chamber before Komand’r wakes up.” you say, walking down the hall towards the room. Meloka floats along, landing on your back and wrapping her arms around your neck, humming contentedly as you walk. Within a minute you walk into the Gravity Chamber, Meloka hopping off as you walk over to the controls. You look over the control panel, deciding to take it up quite a few notches. You crank it up to 35x New Salda’s gravity, surpassing the 30x max you’d reached before. The intense gravity slams into you and Meloka both, almost knocking both of you flat.

After a moment to get your bearings, you force yourself to stand upright under the crushing weight of the intense gravity. You’re adjusting faster than Meloka, the smaller Saiyan snarling as she tries to force herself up off her hands and knees. You throw a few test punches and kicks, adjusting to the intensity of the gravity. You want to help Meloka, but you know she wouldn’t appreciate you making her feel weak. So you leave her to her own pace, running through a workout and struggling to even hit fifty pushups under this intensity.

After half an hour, you’ve both adjusted enough to spar, albeit slowly. With the gravity this intense, you both focus on blocking and precision strikes. With the additional weight behind each of your strikes, it pushes both of your defenses past the limit, you each getting hit several dozen times by insanely heavy strikes in your base forms. With anothe half hour gone into sparring, you shut down the Gravity Chamber. Having pushed yourself as hard as you did today, between the battle and now this training, you’re thinking about nothing more than a hot shower and going to sleep. So you’re caught completely off guard when you open the door.

“So that’s where you’ve been.” Komand’r says, smiling smugly. “And look at you, all exhausted and at my mercy. Now, just what will I do with you?”

Or perhaps to the pool and have my way with you? Oh, I know. The royal prisoners’ chamber! We can have so much fun in there.”

“Aren’t you forgetting someone?” Meloka says irritated, stepping between you and her as she transforms up into a Super Saiyan. “You aren’t doing anything to him, unless you get through me first!”
“Oh really?” she asks, raising an eyebrow at Meloka and smiling smugly down at her. “You’re just as tired as he is, what do you think you’re going to do about it?”
“Oh I was just hoping you’d say that.” Meloka says, a dangerous edge to her voice as her aura flares up. “I’ve been wanting an excuse to kick your ass since we met.”

Yeah, you’re too tired for this at the moment. You pat Meloka on the head then pic her up, setting her on your shoulder despite her protests. Before Komand’r can do anything but laugh you grab her around the waist and toss her on your other shoulder.

“What the hell are you doing?” she shouts indignantly at you. “Put me down right this instant!”
Ignoring her protests you carry them both outside without saying a word. Meloka says nothing as well, not understanding what you’re doing but trusting in you. You walk a good hundred or so yards from the ship, Meloka floating off your shoulder as you set Komand’r down, the Tamaranean glaring at you.

“If you two are gonna fight, do it out here away from the ship.” you say, yawning a bit then continuing. “I’m going to bed. Whenever you’re done out here come join me.”
“Mmm sounds like fu-“ Komand’r starts, before being interrupted.
“I told you, to get to him you have to go through me!” Meloka says, flaring her aura up again. You leave them to it, turning and walking back into the ship. As you go you can hear a bit of their dialogue.

“And just what do you think you can do to stop me?”
“Try me and find out. But I’m not as nice as Karn, I won’t be holding back.”
You feel Meloka’s ki skyrocket and the ground start to shake, making you smile to yourself. Yeah, she’s got this. Making your way inside you open comms to the bridge, telling them to head for New Salda once Meloka gets back on board. That taken care of, you walk to the showers, quickly cleaning the training sweat off of you and leaving your gear in there then walking back to your room. You’re barely through the door before flopping down onto the bed, sleep taking you almost instantly.

When you wake up, you feel much more refreshed. Opening your eyes, sure enough you see Meloka’s sleeping form is the one pressed against you, her back to you. You sit up and stretch, yawning as you do so. The motion stirrs Meloka, her rolling over towards you with her eyes still shut.

“Mrrrrnnnnn.” she says sleepily, throwing her arms around you. You notice she’s still scuffed up quite a bit, presumably from her battle with Komand’r and that she’s also still a Super Saiyan.

What now?

Getting up can wait and ask her how the fight went wins. Writing.
>>
>>2301254
You’re feeling a bit hungry, but that can wait. You’ve got something more important right in your arms. Grabbing Meloka by the waist, you pick her up and set her right onto your lap. She opens her eyes at this, looking down then up into your eyes, smiling warmly at you as she wraps her arms around your neck. You both stare into each other’s eyes a moment, then she pounces on you and knocks you back onto your back.

A couple hours later you’re both still laying there in bed, you on your back and Meloka laying on your chest. Meloka’s contentedly humming, her head on your chest with your arms around her. You both just lay there awhile, basking in the afterglow. Eventually you stir, Meloka lifting her head and looking up at you.

“So how’d the fight go?” you ask her, Meloka chuckling a bit.
“She was tough.” Meloka says. “But when I bulked up she couldn’t do anything about it. I slammed her around a bit until she finally gave up and flew home.”

You get the feeling she’s leaving a bit of what happened out, but it doesn’t matter. She’s here now and clearly won the fight. You put the Tamaranean out of your head, picking Meloka up and carrying her to the showers to start your day. After cleaning the morning’s activities off of each of you, you get dressed.

You have three months until your arrival on New Salda, what will you do?

After a quick meal you and Meloka hop into the Gravity Chamber, you’re determined to max out the machine during this trip. Every day of the 3 month trip you and Meloka are grinding away in the intense gravity, strengthening your bodies and wills. During the first week you keep it at 35x New Salda’s gravity, letting your bodies adjust to the strain. After that you try and increase the gravity incrementally every week, constantly pushing yourselves further and further beyond your previous limits. Hour after grueling hour, day by day, you and Meloka become stronger. By thr end of the three month trip, both of your base powerlevels have exploded. But training yourself isn’t all you spent your time on.

During the trip you also work, with Dr. White’s guidance, on helping Raven rebuild her atrophied muscles in her arms and especially her crippled legs. Living for as long as she had in that cramped cell, unable to stand upright, her legs were seriously damaged. Under Dr. White’s guidance you help her, at first simply stretching her legs straight in zero gravity then eventually doing her own leg and arm excercises in normal New Salda gravity. The process is slow at first, several times the young girl would phase through the walls or floor to try and escape. The first time this happened it sent up a panic, wondering what had happened to her. You’d searched the ship over in a panic, eventually finding her in her room.

“Why’d you run away?” you’d asked her, sitting on the bed beside her.
“It hurts.” she’d said, clutching her knees. “Why are you hurting me? I thought you said I was one of you, so why?”
“We’re not doing it to hurt you.” you’d said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close. “We’re trying to help you, Raven. I know this hurts. If there was another way to help you, believe me, I’d much rather take it. But this is the only way to help you walk again. I promise one day you’ll be able to walk again.”
“You, you really mean it don’t you?” she asks, looking up at you.
“Yeah I do.” you reply. “How about this? Come watch Meloka and I practice tomorrow, and see we’re not doing it to be mean to you. Sound good?”
“...Alright.” she finally says, following you back to the good doctor.

The next day, sure enough you take her to the Gravity Chamber, then have her make a portal back to her room. She watches from the relative safety of her room as you and Meloka push yourselves, upping the gravity two notches just to make a point. You and Meloka struggle through the day’s workout, then once its over Raven shuts down the machine, a new fire in her eyes.
“What I’ve been doing so far is nothing.” she said, contemplatively. “If you both can go through that every single day, I’ll push through too, and I will walk again!”
“That’s the spiri-“ you’d said, then collapsing in exhaustion.

From that point forward she gave 110% in her therapy, a new determination rising up from within her. Every day she pushed harder, and with only a month left before landing she did it!

“I, I’m walking! I’m really doing it!” she’d shouted, ecstatic. It wasn’t graceful by any means, but she was finally doing it! After that success she was unstoppable, redoubling her efforts. By the time you’d made it back to New Salda she was even starting to run. She couldn’t sustain it long, her stamina still virtually nonexistant, but she can almost make an entire lap inside the Gravity Chamber before stopping. Her progress astounded Dr. White, the old doctor confiding in you that her recovery was miraculous, she shouldn’t even be to the point of walking yet. But you know better than to question good fortune.

The day of your arrival back on New Salda you and Meloka had just left the showers and gotten dressed, having pushed the gravity to an amazing 42x New Salda’s gravity and can comfortably maneuver in 38x. Not quite maxed out yet, but still amazing progress. Putting your scouter on, you scan yourself for the first time since the trip started, your new powerlevel clocking in at:

291,885. Meloka, however, got even more out of her training than you did, pushing herself up to an amazing 237,841. Shutting down your scouter, you and Meloka walk to the bridge, slowing your pace considerably when Raven walks out of her room as you both approach her door.

“So you’re finally going home? What’s it like?” she asks, and before either you or Meloka can answer a voice comes over the comms:

”Beginning final approach to New Salda, General Karn to the bridge. General Karn, to the bridge.”

“Looks like you’ll see for yourself soon.” you reply, continuing towards the bridge. Once the door is almost in sight, Raven takes off at a slightly hobbling run, calling back to you and Meloka, “Race you there!”
“You’re on!” you shout back, faux seriously as you and Meloka almost immediately close the gap. Yet neither of you pass her, remaining right on her heels, pushing her to go just a little faster. Right as the door opens, she collapses on the ground, panting in exhaustion and trying to catch her breath.

“Good job.” you pat her on the shoulder as you walk by, right beside Roberry in the pilot’s seat.
“Good, you’re here.” he says as you walk up, pulling up a display of landing zones. “So where are we setting down?”

You recognize the Guardian’s Island, and the Saiyan City, both now labeled “VIP.” But there’s two more you’re unfamiliar with. Expanding the display it seems they were busy while you were away, establishing a spaceport on the planet’s surface as well as a seperate military base and landing zone. The progress impresses you and is good to see.

Focusing your senses, you feel the Guardian’s perfectly calm energy, several Saiyans in the low to mid hundred thousand range of powers, as well as two smaller ones that could only be Broly and Chaya. Towards the Saiyan city you sense tens of thousands of Saiyans, as well as two standout powers that could only be Nappa and Vegeta. The military base has several hundreds of thousands of powers, none quite as strong as the gathered Saiyans. And another group that catches your eye, in the spaceport area are a half dozen powerlevels in the mid hundreds of thousands. They don’t seem to be causing a ruckus, but might be trouble.

“Take us down over at that new spaceport.” you order, curiousity piqued. “I want to see what’s going on over there.”
“Yes sir.” he says, then starts contacting the traffic controller. Fifteen minutes later your ship has landed, you and Meloka walking out first, Raven close behind. Leaving the landing zone into the spaceport proper, you’re pleasantly surprised to see how bustling it is, and how many people are moving about. Its a sharp contrast to the near-lifeless Planet Vegeta of old. Turning to Raven, you see she’s pulled her cloak around her a bit tighter, a grimace on her face.

“Hey, you okay?” Meloka asks her, beating you to the question.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” she says, clearly not. “There’s just a lot of people here, and their emotions are very loud.”
“Hey if you want to go back to the-“ you start, before she interrupts quickly.
“No no, I’m fine.” she says, resolute. “I’ll be fine.”
“If you say so.” you say, turning back to the bustling spaceport. Focusing your senses, you find the group of large powerlevels and make your way towards them, finding yourself outside what appears to be some sort of bar. You turn to Meloka and she nods, knowing what you’re wanting her to do. You walk in first, followed by Raven and then Meloka bringing up the rear. Looking around inside, your senses snap to the source of the powerlevels, eyes focusing on a familiar set of armor.

The bar goes quiet as the patrons take in you looking serious, the Jiralhanae noticing the mood shift and looking to the door. Upon seeing you he stands quickly, grabbing his hammer in his left hand and laying it across his shoulder as he walks up to you with purpose. Everyone is silent, the tension palpable as he stands at arms-length from you, you each staring each other down. Suddenly he blinks, then roars out in good-spirited laughter, you both clasping forearms in a universal gesture of respect among warriors.

“It has been quite some time, Super Saiyan!” he says, still laughing as he claps you on the back. “Good to see you made it out of there in one piece.”
“Same to you.” you reply, Meloka and Raven following along as the red-armored Jiralhanae basically drags you to his table, ordering a round of drinks for you, Meloka, Raven, and his own men. After pulling chairs up for each of you, you all cheer him and drink. Raven makes a disgusted face at the first sip, setting it back down and nudging it away with her power. However you and Meloka drain yours, then the leader turns to you and speaks.

“So, Super Saiyan, what have you been up to since we parted ways?” he asks, then seems to notice Raven for the first time. “And who’s this?”
“My name is Raven.” she says, deadpan. “Karn got me out of a Tamaranean prison.”
“I’ve heard they’re tough.” he says, nodding to her. “What were you in for?”
“For this.”

Raven’s eyes go black, her glowing dark aura enveloping his hammer, her lifting it into the air and swinging it, catching him in the chest and knocking him over, the big alien tumbling out of the chair. As he stops rolling she drops the hammer by his face, the large warrior flinching. You and Meloka, as well as his men, all find this hilarious. It takes him a moment to recover, finally lifting his hammer back up and righting his chair, sitting back down.

“You find the strangest companions.” the Jiralhanae complements you, nodding at Raven and lifting his mug to her. You turn to the chieftan, a question of your own to ask.

“So, what’re you doing all the way out here?” you ask him. “We’re months away from Covenant space.”
“Isn’t it obvious?” he asks you, getting serious. “I’m here for you, Super Saiyan.”
“...What?” Meloka and Raven ask, comically in-sync after a moment of silence.
“You can’t have forgotten already, have you?” he asks, you suddenly remembering why he could be here. “We still haven’t gotten to finish our fight! I’m here to settle this.”

Ironically enough it was Sorbet and the Ctarl-Ctarl who had the lasting victories in the campaign, securing two planets. You and the Saiyans took one, Freeza and the Ginyus another but they were given back to the Covenant in the ceasefire. However, the Covenant are now checked by the power you and Meloka showed, being able to take down fleets yourselves. And they won’t want to risk attacking New Salda again, the fact one of their larger ships was sliced IN TWO is rather intimidating. As well as Freeza’s amazing power, which they picked up on when Freeza sparred Meloka then you before the ceasefire.

Instantaneous form switching for drawback mitigation is the best concept to ever come out of Dragonball Super.
At least Toyotaro thinks he came up with it, hoping people don't remember the Kaioken shenanigens in the Goku VS Frieza fight.

>>
>>2303721
Making Ascended Super Saiyan feel natural is a long ways off. Its a huge strain on the body. Less that the Ultra Saiyan form, but still takes a toll. Speaking of, theres one thing Ascended and regular Super Saiyan (2&1) have in common. That being from Ascended, you can then (eventually) do the Stage 2 and 3, and then mastered forms of it as well.
>>2303748
That level of control is still beyond everyone but the Guardian right now. Its not something particularly useful to an invader now is it?
>>2303826
Not that. Actually it will be Kakarot who discovers this particular truth, in his bumbling, accidental way. Its one possibility Bardock hadn’t considered yet, and he’ll beat himself up over it for weeks after finding it out.
>>
>>2303865
???
Are you high?
Form flickering is insanely useful for ANYONE. Stamina conservation is always going to be good, and flickering is a particularly good method for that.
If we were a planet DESTROYER, sure, it'd be less useful. But as it is, we restrain ourselves from destroying the planets and limit what we can purely to planetary inhabitants.

>>
>>2303881
You misunderstood me. I’d meant the keeping your power level extremely low and flashing it high for a split-second, as Goku did against Burter and Jeice, isn’t very useful. It isn’t really a useful tool, except for sneaking around and causing opponents who rely on scanning tools to check your power to underestimate you.

As for transformations, it is a different story. With Mastered Super Saiyan, it is more power-efficient to simply stay in that form instead of flashing back and forth in and out of the transformed state. Transforming generally burns more power than simply holding onto said form. However, you can train up your Ascended Super Saiyan to the point where the drain by flashing into it during an attack and reverting is negligible. Exhibit A; Vegeta’s rematch with Black. Or if you prefer the anime, try Goku vs Dyspo.
>>2304105

Sub is inferior to Dub as far as dragonball shit goes. Most other anime I would give it to Sub, but Sub really dropped the ball here because of goku having the MOST unfitting voice as an adult. So after doing some reading on SSJ3, I feel like it might actually be viable.
Or at least more viable than it was in canon.
You see, it's a lot more energy efficient with a tail.
We also probably won't shake the planet like pic related with our girthy power level this way.

Actually, yes. When he’d first heard he had been reassigned to an up-and-coming hotshot general’s new ship, he was worried. And for obvious reasons. Rising stars within the PTO aren’t usually, well, considerate of their subordinates’ lives. Especially with the reputation Saiyans have earned for being ruthless. Then after he met you, between your concern over Meloka, helping him with that wounded soldier(who’s made a full recovery by the way), keeping everyone on the ship out of harms way on Sera and diving down yourself, and recently with helping Raven, he’s realized you aren’t JUST a bloodthirsty monster who exterminates planets for fun.
>>
>>2305831
>What is this? Rise of the Deviantart OCs?
Kek, no. That was just the only image I could find of them at the time. Basically they are a bunch of impossibly beautiful, impossibly destructive *things* from beyond the entirety of Creation, with the express goal of unmaking everything, to erase all of Creation bit by bit, concept by concept, until there's nothing left. Most of the time however, they're kept from directly intruding upon reality by the Imperators (basically entities who define Creation itself and the base concepts that make it up), who duke it out in the Spirit Realm, but sometimes the primary Excrucian can slip "shards" of themselves into existence to mess things up in their stead. Whether it be a piece of string, a lock of hair, a flower petal, or a soundless word, all Excrucian shards are just parts of a larger whole, whom are confronted by beings known as Nobles/Powers (individuals granted tiny slivers of a respective Imperators power in their stead, and claim Domains or "Estates" that directly correspond to concepts, which can be things like "Cheese", "Blankets", or "Breakfast Cereal" for example) whilst the main war is going on. There are four types of said entities:

>The Deceivers love us, or something in us, but believe that we've got tangled up in the lie that is Creation, and seek to free that part of us they love by destroying the lie.
These guys are basically schemers and plotters one and all, and they are all universally Toxic no matter how they present themselves. They are also unfathomably dangerous. One of their number, known as "Iolithae Septimian", has an unspoken rule amongst absolutely everyone (even her own kind) where nobody is supposed to let her speak because the last time she did, her lies became reality. She alone is literally the reason as to why "Nobody knows whether God exists or not".

>The Warmains seek to test Creation to see whether it can show them worth. If something fails their tests, they break it or leave it be; if it succeeds, they incorporate it into themselves. If something really impresses them, they'll even take on its body and personality when it's dead.
Take Saiyans and the Majin and then combine the worst aspects of both, and you'll probably get the average Warmain

>The Mimics are Imperial-level moles in Creation, entities that seem to be Imperators, that hold Estates, that can even create Nobles, but are founded on something that has no part in the world, something that is fundamentally wrong.
These guys are basically the Angels, but even more alien and unfathomable. Less likely to single you out for erasure via God.

>The Strategists hate Creation. They see nothing to love in it, nothing that may be worthy of them - no, it is wrong, a crime against the void, and must be destroyed. To that end, they can unmake anything they come across, erase it from existence.
The last ones are basically Gods Of Destruction, but on all kinds of steroids and are even more unhinged to boot.

Oh her role in-quest isn’t done...
The crew are pretty chill. They realized you’re very lax with them. They will do their best to NOT lose this assignment.
>>2307504
Sera was great, and so have been the crits.
They’re not gone. They’ll be back before too long. Did anyone REALLY think a ceasefire between the Prophet of Truth and Freeza would last?
Meloka is great. She’s evolved quite a bit, and not just in strength. Raven may be crucial to certain later events.
Ctarl-Ctarl are very much so. Especially Aisha.
>more cameos of future arcs

Aisha is, very much so.

>>2307661
The Zoldycks exist.
>>2307839
Which?
Oh that one, yeah it was great.
Meloka is, she is Karn’s rock. Raven has a destiny. Whatever happens with that, we’ll see.
Trunks really needs to man up.
There will be more Towa this arc potentially, maybe Freeza hes a busy man. And yes, there needs to be more Ginyu Force.
>>2308545
She is very obsessed with you both still. Not many beings(that she knows) could treat her as you both did.
Karn’s an ok guy. Sure he’s a genocidal monster, but he’s still mortal and can feel compassion for allies, and genuine love for Meloka and Chaya.
The Ctarl-Ctarl are annoying. They’ll not be around for that much this next arc, unless players actively search them out. As far as Raven, she isn’t as cold as she is in her own canons. But you tend to warm up to someone who’s responsible for freeing you and taking you away from those that killed your entire species(so she thinks) as well as helping you to rediscover the joys of walking.

You can create it quick enough to essentially quickdraw and turn, blocking a strike with another blade. Adjusting the length will take work, as it uses exponentially more power the longer you make it.

The least accurate move in history, its fail rate in canon is far worse than even Karn’s Energy Javelin.
>>2309566
So far it has only failed a handful of times, out of many uses. Much better than the canon Vegeta/Future Trunks rate of 0% success. You did shoot through a planet.

Also, after seeing the latest feats for the little guy, courtesy of Star Allies, it was probably a good idea on GD's part not to let Kirby be a thing that Karn and co will encounter anytime soon. Like, holy shit, the little tyke's beyond powerful.

probably the fact our allies are collectively retarded, except for Towa, and Cold.

probably the gladiator stuff and us not actually bothering to blow the place to kingdom come, we had literally all the abilities in the world and reasons too, but we didn't cause once again our allies are dumb.
>Favorite Characters
Karn, pretty much any saiyan, i actually enjoy the Ctarl Ctarl when they arn't complete fucking jobbers
>Least Favorite:
probably the random ass Cameo people like the tameranians, or the covenant, they are good for mook fodder, but watching them slap our collective shit again and again is depressing as fuck, there are times everyone is a serious fucking jobber.
>characters who need more stagetime
i want to see our original crew git gud and actually have more relevant saiyans besides Karn and Meloka. I want Vegeta and nappa at least to git gud, maybe turles cause the man has some serious ambition in canon at least, and does not seem like the type who would be content sitting on his ass never gitting gud, cause hes the one who did dick around with the tree of might originally after all. also how is bardock and co doing, or is he still knocked out on warworld or wherever he is?
>>
>>2310921
We have our hands and ki blasts for that.
>>
>>2310788
No, only Vegeta and Galik know the technique so far.
>>2310793
You already know one, just have to learn to compact the energy into a smaller area. As for the Saucer, he doesn’t know it yet.
>>2310871
Anons love having a huge list of techniques, even if most aren’t used often.
>>2311054
Karn is very good at what he does. To be fair, only some of your allies are stupid. Most just wait for your call in battle, because you’ve led them through worse and they all pulled through.
Sera seems to be a favorite.
To be fair that was Bardock, and Karn has no IC knowledge of that. The side Saiyans are fun to write, they’re hopefully playing a much larger role this time.

>>
>>2311452
When is Karn going to encounter things such as, say, magical artifacts? Earth was LOADED with them.
You don't reckon that New Salda might have some hidden around, do you? Maybe Notyoda is hiding his version of the Ultra Divine Water. Or some ancient mystical weapons or armor. Or something even more esoteric that has functions different from anything we've yet to see in dragonball.
>>

He is rather curious as to how your training has progressed over the months, and is concerned as to why you landed over there. He knew you were coming back, and was expecting you to land on the island. And he senses a worryingly familiar dark energy on your ship...
>>2311466
Earth was rather heavily loaded down with magical artifacts. The Guardian does have a few special magical items stored in his tower, but most are for very specific trainings. Two in particular won’t be used until you enter the Super equivalent of powers. The original natives may have an artifact of their own, but whether it is useful, or even still working is another story.
>>2311482
They are a rather unique magic item, only known to grow in specifically prepared magical soils. Not a very common food.

>with raven attached to him, ubo can go 100% offensive while raven handles defense, creating shields and diverting projectiles even when ubo can't see them
>together, they can handle situations that require more delicacy than a grav-hammer to the face while still being able to deliver the equivalent of a grav-hammer to the face
>ubo can now be fucking teleported anywhere he's needed
>>
>>2311863

holy shit this
>>
Also, i could totally see them using a unique fighting style in which raven's powers act as kind of an exo-suit for ubo, where she coats him in her power, allowing him to react with supernatural speed and dexterity, even able to get leverage in midair or while grappled either by her power pushing on his limbs or through his limbs levering themselves on her power.

You could also create a sort of "active defense" that way by forming spikes that jut out from his body towards enemies approaching from his blind spots.
You could also create shaped weapons like hammers, spears or axes from raven's power on the ends of ubo's limbs.
She could even accelerate his flight speed, acting like a sort of booster.
>>
>>2311878
This is why rule number one is to gank the mage first.

Any number of things could gank the mage from that positioning. Especially if the mage is focused on defending the tank more than themselves.

>>2311882
They're acting as one, so she'd be defending herself simultaneously.
As for anyone who gets the bright idea to aim for raven, well, i don't think ubo would take too kindly to that, and i don't that that genius would live very long.

>>
QM UPDATE
Epilogue hopefully today, and if not it’ll be tomorrow. You won’t want to miss Future Karn’s last stand!

>>2312132
Line of sight yes, usually. There are a few exceptions. But simply studying the layout won’t help. She can’t suddenly teleport into Freeza’s identical ship because she’s been in yours.
A lot of that wreckage went into materials for the new spaceport. But the eggheads did get their hands on plenty of tech.
>>
>>2312514
So if she's floating near frieza's identical ship, if it's right in front of her and she can see it, she can't open a portal into it even though she knows the layout because she's never physically been inside that particular, identical ship?
>>
>>2312594
Magic’s wierd like that. But she could just phase through the walls to get inside, then right back out. Portals are a rather large magical investment.
>>
Off topic question, but does Frieza have a particular wine he likes? I imagine if we start bringing good booze he might start inviting us to dine with him occasionally. Eventually he might even ask us to dine with Cold and Cooler if we learn proper table manners.
Pic unrelated
is there such a thing as a space salad fork?
>>
>>2313364
Yeah he does, but its rather expensive and on a heavily monitored world deep within the PTO. As far as dine with, no. He likes you, but you’re not exactly subtle when it comes to food. Or food portions for that matter. He gets it enough from Cooler about how he dotes on his “favorite pet” as it is, he doesn’t need to give him any more social ammo.
>>
>>2313461
Cooler's just jealous that Frieza has a friend.
Plus I bet 2/3 of his armored squadron has shit table matters anyways.
And Salza is probably too snobby to get along with anyone at social gatherings as well.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 32 Epilogue-

AGE 749, KARN’S SHIP

You are Karn, one of the last Saiyans, father to Chaya and the last Super Saiyan. You’re currently in your ship, your battle-scarred last mechanical pilot flying the ship while you’re lost in thought.

“Eleven years...” you mumble to yourself, head in your hand. “Has it really been that long?”
”Eleven years, eight mont-“ your pilot starts, you interrupting him angrily.
“Hey no one asked you!” you shout, rising from your chair. A moment passes, you then sighing out wearily. “Just, let me know if something important shows up.”
”Roger roger.” it says as you walk from the bridge.

You walk through your ship slowly and aimlessly, yet still finding yourself before her again. You place a hand on the disconnected Healing Pod, the pink crystal still visible from within. Even after all this time, you still haven’t been able to bring yourself to take Meloka and her crystal tomb from your ship. So there she remains, a constant reminder of your many failures. You didn’t get long to mourn her, the universe want to hell shortly after her death.

A month after Meloka’s energy disappeared completely Freeza was assassinated by some Covenant hotshot calling himself the Arbiter. The asshole then declared the PTO dissolved and subservient to the Covenant. A few groups resisted, the Saiyans leading the charge. But you stood no chance, the Arbiter was too strong. Ubo had sacrificed himself to save you, but the victory was short lived. The last of the organized PTO resistance to the Covenant was blown to hell, along with New Salda and its residents. You and then-infant Chaya barely escaped, and you have both been living on the run ever since.

“Visiting Mom again, huh?” a voice asks out from behind you. Turning, you see Chaya standing in the doorway rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
“Mornin’ kiddo.” you say, turning from Meloka to Chaya. You wak over to her, picking her up with your one good arm and holding her close. She squeezes you tight then kisses you on the cheek. You smile at your daughter, her floating up and setting down on your shoulder. “Sleep good?”
“Mmhmm.” she mumbles, stretching her arms over her head. “Do we have anything left to eat? I’m starving!”
“Let’s go look.” you say, walking from the room. You know there isn’t much of your supplies left, only another day or two at the rate she’s eating through them. You’ve been skipping meals, ensuring she has enough to eat. You may have failed everyone else, but you’re still doing your absolute best for your daughter.
cont
>>
>>2314884
Walking into your ship’s storeroom, sure enough you see the last of your meager supplies. Taking some with you, you carry it into the small mess, Chaya digging in. After a couple minutes she looks up to you, confused.

“Ooh noo eeeiin?” she asks, mouth full.
“Chew your food, Chaya.” you chide, shaking your head and chuckling a bit to yourself as she swallows her food then continuing.
“You not eating?” she asks again, looking concerned.
“Nah, I already ate. You go ahead.” you say, lying to her face. You don’t want to worry her, she knows you both are in a bad way as far as supplies go. It’ll be another three days before you land at the next planet, your supplies won’t be enough to last all the way there. Lean times are ahead.

”Captain, come up to the bridge.” your mechanical pilot calls out over the comms. ”We’ve got a problem.”
“What’s wrong?” Chaya asks you, getting serious in an instant. She knows how dangerous the world is, and you can hear a slight trembling in her voice.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.” you say, trying to project a calm you don’t feel. You have a terrible feeling about this.

Getting up from the table, you float quickly back to the bridge. Touching down beside your pilot and staring into the display, you feel an icy hand clutch your heart. You’re surrounded.

”Incoming call from an enemy cruiser.” your pilot says, mechanical hand above the controls.
“Put it through.” you say, rising to your full height and looking to the large screen. When the face appears, you feel pure rage surge through your body. Its him!

“At last, I’ve finally caught you, Super Saiyan.”
“Arbiter.” you snarl out through clenched teeth.
“You knew this day would come, heretic.” he says, getting slightly heated as well. “Today you will finally face divine justice?”
“Justive, huh? How about you come over here and face me yourself?” you taunt. “Why not? Or are you afraid I’ll succeed this time?”
“Afraid? Of you?” he asks, laughing. “Look at you! Last time, you had backup and all of your limbs, and I still took your arm and eye. Too bad for the rest of them, they died before they could see you now. You won’t escape this time, I’m going to kill you and that monkey behind you as well.”

As he says this you start, turning to see Chaya staring wide-eyed at the screen.

“Now, all ships, fi-“
“Wait just a moment, Arbiter.” another voice calls out, stopping the Arbiter. You see one of the Prophets float into the screen, the Arbiter standing down in deferrence to his master. “We may be destroying a heretic, but it still has a chance to repent before the gods. You have two minutes to say your prayers and beg your forgiveness from the gods.”
“You heard Mercy, two minutes. And then we’ll finally end this pointless resistance, Super Saiyan.” the Arbiter says, glaring at you and cutting comms.

>>
>>2314889
“I’m ready to fight!” Chaya says, clenching her fists and flaring her aura up around her.
“No Chaya.” you sigh out, the weight of your failures weighing heavy on your shoulders.
“But-“
“I said no!” you shout, then soften your tone. “I’m not letting you die here.”
“But we’re surrounded.” she says, looking at the display. “There’s nowhere left to go!”
“I’ve still got one last favor to cash in.” you say, closing your eyes. “I just hope she answers.”

You can practically feel her desire to know more intensifying, but you need to focus. You think out, desperately hoping she’s listening.

“Towa, can you hear me?”
“Somehow I knew you’d come calling.” is her immediate reply. “Let me guess, you want me to get you and your daughter away from there, right?”
“Not exactly.” you think back. “I have to end this with him, once and for all. But I don’t want Chaya caught in the crossfire. Please, take her somewhere safe and watch over her for me.”
“What do you think I am, a babysitter?” she asks indignantly, but you know she’s putting up a front when she sighs out dramatically. “But, I suppose I still do owe you one. Very well, I’ll look after your daughter.”
“Thanks Towa.” you reply, the demon then severing the link. Opening your eyes you see Chaya’s face floating very close to yours, barely containing her curiousity.

“Who was it?” Chaya asks, unable to hold back her curiosity any longer. “Did you fine her? Did she answer? What’s her name? Why-“
“Her name’s Towa, and she’s a demon princess.” you say, smiling sadly at the memories. “Your mother and I first met her a long time ago. You’re going to stay with her for awhile, okay?”
“B-But what about you Daddy?” Chaya asks, tears forming. “You’re coming too, aren’t you?”
“Not yet.” you say, smiling sadly at her as Towa appears. “I’ll catch up later.”
“But-!” she starts, you standing and addressing Towa.
“Thank you, Towa.” you say, giving her a slight bow as she walks up, Chaya turning to look at her.
“Of course, I couldn’t let that debt go unpaid.” she replies, looking unusually perturbed. “But are you sure about this Karn?”

“Of course.” you say, clenching your fist and turning to Chaya. “There’s no doubt that cocky bastard’s broadcasting this. ‘The end of the Saiyans’ no doubt. We Saiyans were once feared throughout the universe, its time to remind them all why. But I can’t fight all-out and protect you, so I need you to go with Towa, okay?”

“One day Daddy, I’ll be strong enough that we’ll never have to run away ever again!” Chaya says defiantly to you as tears flow freely from her face, Towa placing a hand on your young daughter’s shoulder.
“I know you will, Chaya.” you reply, smiling one last time at your little girl, and then they’re both gone. Now its just you, and them.

Without Chaya to worry about anymore you’re free to cut lose, transforming and Ascending right there. The ship buckles around you, the lightning in your aura arcing into the consoles and frying them instantly. Warning sirens go off unheeded as you calmly walk from the bridge. Only one more thing to do before you go. Walking up to the disconnected Healing Pod, placing a hand on it and talking to Meloka inside.

“Don’t worry about the alarms, Chaya’s safe.” you say, mising your daughter already. “Towa will keep her safe for us. Isn’t that good? Just one final push, then I can finally see you again. I gotta go now, but I’ll finally see you again soon, Meloka.”

You then leap straight up through your ship, metal giving way as you enter the void of space. Landing on the top if your ship, you flare your aura, making sure every ship can see you as you focus, sensing which ship the Arbiter is on. Locking on to his power, you leap, dodging between laser fire as the Covenant fleet unloads on your ship. It is destroyed in moments, but it doesn’t matter, you made it.

Your feet slam into the flagship’s hull, you glaring through the window into the bridge, the Arbiter, prophets and crew panicking. You grin maliciously, clenching your fist and flaring your aura as you prepare your final attack. The Arbiter shouts something to his crew, then the turrets on the ship start shooting you in the back. Each blast is excruciatingly painful, but you hold on. Just a little more! Panicking even more the Arbiter himself leaps through the glass, drawing his blade and charging you. But its too late for him.

“This is for Freeza, Ubo, and all the Saiyans you killed you bastard!” you think at the Arbiter, his blade taking you in the chest, you shouting as you unleash your full power.

“RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!”

Your glorious golden power pours fourth from your body, obliterating everything in sight. Your attack destroys the Arbiter, you taking no small satisfaction from the face he makes as he is erased. You feel your power consuming your own body as well, your being torn asunder from the explosion of raw power. You close your eyes as your feelings fade, only one thought on your mind.

“I’m coming, Meloka.”

Thanks for the epilogue it was somber but hype as hell.
>>
>>2315009
Thanks. I’ve had this epilogue on the backburner for weeks, couldn’t get in the proper mindset to get it just right. Then the other day I finally finished Gundam IBO and the feels got me in all the right places.

So what it like in the alt universe now that the Covenant own the galaxy? is it better than the PTO?
>>
>>2315070
Did future Karn take out the prophet?
>>
>>2315332
Its a pretty dark place. Several PTO planets were wiped out completely, most of their military forces as well. For the average person not caught in the crossfire, life simply went on.
>>2315612
He took out the Arbiter and the prophet on that ship, that entire ship, the ships on either side of it, as well as the two ships above and the one below. The light from Future Karn’s last attack was clearly visible in the daytime on some worlds.

>>2315875
Yo which Arbiter are we fucking with and is he voiced by Keith David?
>>
>>2316848
I won’t say which yet, but I did give a hint about him before. Something to do with his weapon...
>>
>>2317201

karns parents when? i legit want to see what his ma and pa thing of their boy.
>>
>>2317210
His mother died back a long time ago, during the Saiyan/Tuffle War. She never told Karn who his father was. As it currently stands, only two living Saiyans know who Karn’s father is/was.
>>
>>2317262
>only two living Saiyans
His father and\or Nappa?
>>
>>2317262
>She never told Karn who his father was

thats a plot hook if i've ever seen one.
>>
>>2317331
His father may know, he might have even been living in the same village. Nappa doesn’t, being only a year older than Karn himself.
>>2317471
Family ties wasn’t something that early Saiyans found important, and even now most still don’t. As far as why she never told him, maybe she didn’t know exactly who it was. Maybe she was ashamed of what had happened. Maybe she only knew his father was “one of these x guys.” Remember, Saiyans aren’t known for being monogamous. Karn(so far) and Bardock are exceptions rather than the rule.
>>
>>2317471
>Karn's father is actually a demon that was visiting that planet
>Karn is a half-demon
That'd be such a meme-tier reveal lol
>>
>>2317510
I’ve stated before Karn is a full-blooded Saiyan. No memegenes here. But as far as half demons go, someone doesn’t yet know they are one.
>>
so quesiton will we ever bump into the Doctor with some of the towa induced time shenanagans going on?
>>
>>2317525
Poor raven
>>
I know we got new thread soon but I feel the need to let people know:the spics were right SSJBlanco is a thing, and goku got it, the dbs threads on /a/ are burning in memes. Right now. Just what the fuck.
>>
>>2318399

>>
>>2318404
Just wanted to vent.
>>
>>2317552
Probably not
>>2317932
Why?
>>2318399

>>
>>2318420
Gohan will forever be BTFO.
>>
Saiyan Conqueror Quest 33 is now live!
