Robin's only gone for a few minutes after deciding to tell Rose about her father. In that time, you and Donna fill the others in on what was discussed while they were busy doing their own things. Not many questions are asked at first, but when you mention that someone's informed Robin about Bane coming to Jump City from Gotham, Cyborg has something to ask.

"Bane?" he asks, actually sounding worried. "The man that broke Batman Bane?"

"That's right," Donna tells him. "Robin actually seemed worried about this guy, too."

"It makes sense," Raven remarks. "Batman was his teacher. If this guy's tough enough to break the bat, he might be wondering what chance he has."

"We've taken out worse than Bane," Beast Boy reminds her. "Trigon, the Brotherhood of Evil, an actual dragon, some muscled up guy in a wrestling mask shouldn't be too much trouble."

"We can probably take him,"Cyborg agrees. "But we're going to need to be careful. He's not just some tough guy like Adonis."

"Pfft! Whatever!" Beast Boy retorts, suddenly leaping over the back of the sofa, and somehow popping up between you and Donna with a chalkboard. "We should be worried about there being another Ravager."

"Someone else chose the same name Rose did," Cyborg says, not seeming all that concerned. "So what?"

"So what?!" Beast Boy shouts, spinning the board to show a diagram of "suspects", which you don't know when he had the time to make. "Dude! First there are two Red X's, now there's two Ravagers! There's something fishy going on, here."

He points to the blackboard, which has a crudely drawn sketch of this male Ravager right in the center, with lines moving from him to various suspects. His theories are...strange, to say the least. They range from a robot replica, to a battle android created by Slade, to a dimension-travelling imp, to someone named Jason Todd, to a male clone, to Robin. None of these seem plausible, but Beast Boy is taking them very seriously.

The others, minus Troia, all sigh in exasperation at Beast Boy's presentation, and you get the feeling that he's done something like this before. You feel like the guy is probably a fan of conspiracy theories.

"Does it matter who this other Ravager is?" Starfire, who has been quiet for a while, speaks up. "We do not need to know their identity to defeat them, do we?"

At that moment, the doors slide open, and Robin enters the room. You immediately notice that he's hunched over, and has one hand on his gut, like he was just struck there by someone or something. The first thing that comes to your mind is that Rose took the news badly.

"Robin!" Starfire shouts with worry, flying over to him to make sure he's okay.

"I'm fine, Star," Robin promises her, giving a smile to show that he means it.

"What happened to you?" Cyborg asks, looking over the back of the sofa.

"Rose didn't take the news well, did she?" Raven asks.

Robin sighs, walking to one of the nearby tables and taking a seat. "No, she didn't. She's leaving now, going to that safe-house she told us about."

She took it worse than I was hoping, but I can understand if she wants to be alone for a while. She wasn't planning on staying at the Tower the whole time anyway.

Robin seems a little hurt, but not seriously injured. He'll be just fine. Rose, on the other hand, might be a different matter. Part of you is very worried that she'll do something foolish, while another trusts that she'll be fine, but just wants to say goodbye.

If she's leaving, she'll be taking her bike, meaning that she's gone down to the garage. Focusing on that location, and allowing the sadness of a friend leaving to power you, you vanish from the living room, and appear in the garage, right in front of Rose's bike, which she is in the process of climbing onto. She sees you when you appear, and instinctively draws her staff, apparently not knowing who you were for a second, there. Once she gets a clear look at you, though, she puts the weapon away, and steps away from the motorcycle.

She's once again wearing her bandanna, covering her upper face. The single, visible eye of hers looks at you, then moves around, trying to see if anyone else came with you. Satisfied that you're both alone, she breaks the silence between you.

"Sorry for not coming to say goodbye," she tells you, her voice a little hard. "I'm just not in the mood to talk to everyone right now."

Rose pauses, then gets off of her bike again. "Tell Donna I said "thank you." And, thank you Peter. I'm glad that at least two of you trust me."

She's right that you and Donna trust her, but you aren't sure she's entirely right about the others. You think that they all trust her just fine as a person, but they worry that her anger can get the better of her. You want to explain this to her, but you don't think she'd appreciate that very much.

"I also thought you might want to know that there's somebody else out there calling himself Ravager," you decide to tell her, not wanting a situation of information being kept from her to happen again.

"I know," she tells you, her voice no longer as hard. "Those two guards mentioned that. I'm sure I'll run into him sooner or later."

Something in her tone, the certainty of it, and the fact that she seems to have been surprised very little about the existence of another Ravager. She definitely knows something. How much, you aren't sure, and you doubt she's in much of a mood to talk about it right now. So, you don't question her. Instead, you step forward, and wrap your arms around her in a warm hug.

After a moment's hesitation, Rose hugs you back, offering a small smile when the two of you break apart.

"You know how to contact me," she tells you, starting back toward her bike. "Tell Donna that I'll be in touch. And if you guys are ever in any trouble, call me."

She turns on her motorcycle, its noise echoing through the garage as she prepares to leave for real this time.

"Goodbye," she says to you before speeding off, leaving you with one less friend in Titans Tower.

"Do you think she'll go after them?" a voice asks from behind you.

Spinning around, you find Raven standing just a short distance from you, hood down, and a curious look on her face as she watches Rose vanish in the distance.

She states this very-matter-of-factly, though it's easy to tell that, despite her tone of voice, she does feel some concern for the other girl. Rose was wrong; she does have more than two friends here in Titans Tower.

"Oh, by the way, Robin's telling the police where to find those drug dealers you and Rose got information on," Raven lets you know. "In case you want to know how things turn out."

"Thanks," you tell her, honestly a little surprised that she's still stuck around to talk for this long. You sort of expected her to ask about Rose, then go back to her room.

"Can I ask you something?" she questions, uncertainty in her voice.

"Go ahead," you answer, wondering what she wants to know.

"That plan that Brother Blood had," she starts. "Have you remembered anything else about it? Anything at all?"

Raven's brow creases in worry, and you wish that you could tell her more about what had happened back then. Truthfully, you haven't delved into your memories often lately. Between the terrible fear and rage that some of your early attempts caused, and the difficulty of even making such attempts, only to glean very little information, you haven't been putting much time or effort into unlocking more of your past.

"I've been dragging my feet on trying to remember more," you admit to your friend. "I've been afraid of going deeper, I guess."

Raven looks at the ground, tensing for a moment before letting out a sigh and loosening up a bit.

"If I helped you, would you be willing to try again?" she asks you.

That's unexpected, and it makes you curious. "What, do you think you have some kind of idea of what he's doing?"

Raven looks at you again, and this time, the fear in her eyes is unmistakable. That really answers your question before she can say a word, and you wonder just what she suspects that would instill that kind of terror in her.

"I might just be paranoid," Raven tells you, sounding like she desperately wants to believe it, but doesn't really. "But if I'm right, your memory of that day should tell us for sure. I know these trips through your memories aren't something you enjoy, but I'm asking you to trust me to help you find the truth."

Raven smiles at that, a genuine, warm smile, something you don't see from her particularly often, that you've come to enjoy when you do.

"Thanks," she says. "That means a lot."

She takes a step closer, and a shadow forms around the two of you, plunging you into darkness for a few moments before you wind up in...more darkness. There's movement, then several candles light up, revealing that Raven's brought you to her room. For someone who doesn't like people in her room, she seems more than willing to welcome you into it at times.

The two of you walk to the area usually used for meditation, with you taking a seat by the candles, and Raven taking one beside you. The candles light up, and Raven stares into the flickering flames.

"What I want to try is....well, I've only ever done something like it with Robin and Starfire," Raven explains, sounding a little nervous. "If you don't want to, there's another way, but-"

She takes a deep breath. "I want to see inside your mind. If you let me in, I can help you uncover the truth."

You're pretty sure that you've never willingly let someone in your mind before. Then again, who knows what kind of things you did during training with Blood? In any case, it's not something you're familiar with trying, but you're willing to let Raven do it. She hasn't steered you wrong so far.

She seems surprised by how readily you agree to this method, but recovers quickly, her voice having a bit more warmth to it than usual when she begins to speak again.

"Okay, close your eyes and meditate," she instructs. "Focus on that memory, and try to make it appear to you. I'll be there to help you, and we'll find the truth."

Nodding your head, and assuming the lotus position, you close your eyes, and begin to repeat the mantra that Raven taught you more than a month ago.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos...."

All sights, sounds, and sensations fade around you, leaving nothing but your own mind to occupy its own thoughts. No sign of Raven, but she said she'll be along, so you trust her to-

"Peter," her voice cuts through your thoughts, almost breaking your meditative concentration right there.

As strange as it sounds, you gaze around through your subconscious, and soon see the form of your blue-cloaked friend. But, for a moment there, you swear you can see a gigantic, black bird in place of your friend's human form. The avian vision vanishes quickly, however, and you're left with the Raven you know. She's glancing around, just a bit, almost like someone coming into your room and taking everything in. It doesn't feel like snooping, she's just trying to get a sense of the place.

Her presence seems to have shifted the form of your mindscape. Where you typically saw looking through your mind almost as standing in unending dark, looking for the lights that represent your memories, you now find yourself on a walkway, the ground beneath your mental feet similar to what you stood on during your battle with Blood. You and Raven walk to each other, and she lifts her hand to point into the air. Looking that way, you can see countless images and memories lining the "sky", the closest ones showing the events of the past few minutes. Some are single images; Raven's smile, Robin holding his gut, Beast Boy's conspiracy board, the image Robin showed of Bane, those sorts of things.

Raven just shrugs her shoulders, gesturing for you to lead on to the memory. Maybe she approves of your taste in music, maybe she's afraid of what you'll find and wants you to enjoy yourself before you get there, maybe she just wants to get this done and doesn't care if you play music. Whatever her reason, it lets you decide to keep playing the music as the journey truly begins.

The memory...Blood's office. Documents. Project 20:7. You focus on these aspects of what you saw, wanting to return to that memory and get a better look at what happened back then. As your thoughts focus toward this memory, a white glow appears in front of you, stretching out in a long line before solidifying into more ground for you and Raven to walk on. With you leading the way, the two of you take a very literal walk down memory lane, passing by many memories from different points in your life as you make your way toward your final goal.

The path turns upward, and far above, you can see the memory you want. The two of you start up toward it, only to halt as you hear a voice ahead of you.

"Don't do this."

That voice sounds just like your own, and when the speaker appears on the path, you find yourself looking at...well, yourself. It's a perfect replica of you, dressed all in yellow for some reason, and looking absolutely petrified as you and Raven draw closer. He actually shrinks back and retreats further up the path, stopping once he remembers that he's heading for that particular memory.

"Please, don't do this!" he pleads. "You don't want to know what happened! It was enough to make you abandon your entire life before. It's been suppressed for a reason!"

The other Peter shrinks away, then becomes surrounded by a brilliant light. That light takes the form of a floating orb, and the other Peter disappears. The light then approaches you, surrounding you, then vanishes as a warmth fills your thought form. You feel a twinge of confusion, and look to Raven, assuming she'd know exactly what just happened.

"In here, different parts of your mind and emotions can take form," Raven explains, looking impressed. "I'm pretty sure that we just saw your fear. And, since you have control over that emotion, you were able to make its "physical" form vanish, and return to your true self."

Now that she mentions it, you do suddenly feel more nervous about this entire thing. But, like you told your other self, you might not want to go through with this, but you have to.

With fear no longer blocking your path, you and Raven are able to climb to the end of the trail, standing before the memory the two of you have been looking for. It's almost as if a massive television screen is floating in front of you, and as you and Raven stare at it, the memory begins to play like a movie.

You see yourself standing over a desk, looking down at a stack of papers and a series of folders. The folders have the names Simon, Samuel, Marissa, Ryan, and Paul. You know those names. Yours is among them, and the rest are other agents of the HIVE that you've worked closely with more than once.

But, your mind is not focused on information about them, so that portion of the memory does not develop further. Instead, you take a look at the papers, noticing 20:7 written on the first page on top of the stack. Brother Blood probably typed this up. After all, it's in his office. You feel a sense of immense curiosity, and reach for the papers.

The picture begins to fade, the sound vanishes, and it looks almost like TV static is beginning to cover the screen. Raven places a hand on your shoulder, and you feel a sudden surge of strength and energy.

"Your subconscious is trying to force us away from this memory," Raven explains to you. "You need to power through so we can see what happened!"

Raven's given you the strength to try and fight through this, so you're going to do exactly that, trusting that she knows what she's doing. As the images and sounds continue to fade, you focus with all of your mental might, willing for the pictures to become clear, and the sounds to return. Gradually, the static fades from the screen, the picture and sound return, and the memory resumes.

You take the first page off of the stack, finding yourself greeted with some self-congratulating dribble written by Blood in which he praises his own skills and intelligence that have allowed him to achieve this "monumental accomplishment." You take that page off of the stack, and find yourself looking at what appear to be photographs of some kinds of ruins, with writings in a language you don't recognize inscribed on the wall. Not sure what you're supposed to be looking at, you take that page off the stack, finding one with actual writing and illustrations on it rather than typed letters and photographs.

The writings aren't very detailed, saying things like "The source of my ancestor's power!", or "The one who will elevate me to even greater heights!"

There's an illustration of flames, with what appears to be four glowing orbs floating within it. This symbol really means nothing to you, so you take that page off the stack, and look down to see-

The images fade all together, the sound dying with them. You struggle to bring it back, but something stubbornly fights you, keeping you from restoring the memory. Another surge of energy flows through you, and you're finally able to bring it back.

Once again, the memory shuts down, and this time, Raven does not help you fight to get it back. In fact, as you look over, you see that Raven is no longer there. As you look back toward the memory, you are pushed away from it rapidly, back the way that you and Raven came. You keep trying to fight, but your meditative focus is broken when you hear Raven scream.

Your eyes shoot open, and you look over to see a horrified Raven on her knees, staring at her hands as that symbol from your memory appears all over her body and face, glowing like a hellish fire as Raven looks at the ones on her palms with despair.

"No...." she whispers. "Not him...not again."

I've been entertaining the idea that once Peter renames himself King Crimson, he'd modify his metal mask to have a crown-like ornament. Nothing really fancy or elaborate.

I'm not especially fond of his mask as is and adding a crown element to it would be too much. It'd be hard to make look cool, and even still kind of clashes with the martial arts half of our psychic martial artist schtick.

I'm not crazy about changing our name to King Crimson either. Kid Crimson was always intended to be a placeholder name, I imagined we'd change our name as our powers expanded and we thought of a better one, or if/when we transitioned to adulthood, ala Nightwing. 'King' sounds like something a golden age hero or a modern megalomaniac might call themselves (so if we end up going the villain route due to Blood mindfuckery, I'm all for the idea, and will enjoy playing the role with gusto).

If we DO end up going the King Crimson route anyway, and people really want a costume change to reflect that, I would do so by using the SUGGESTION of a crown instead. A forehead gem flanked by two smaller gems, embedded in our mask (or placed on our actual forehead, like Raven, because we're pretty good looking, have nice hair, and we should ditch the mask).

Red Shang-Chi style bodysuit with black armored areas (chest, shoulders, elbows - think batman bodysuit style armor). No symbol.

Black batmask with closed chin, no ears. Same white lens eyes.

Cover it with a nova-style red "crown", just with the lateral points going upwards and backwards rather than sideways.

Perhaps shape the center bit like this rider's nose-forehead spikes, not a large crown, more like horns going down the forehead.

Some paranoia fuel: Cartoon Blood canonically has a photographic memory. He memorized Cyborg's schematics, which allowed him to cyberize himself. He has no need to ever write anything down. A file for a plan might still exist, but the only reason for one would be if it was intended to be read by someone else. So, was the file meant to be a brief to be given to someone (possibly Sam, Simon, Marissa, Paul, and Ryan), or was it left their as a test or trap?

Regardless of his intentions, Blood lost Samuel in the process and made Peter out of the leftovers. What was his intent? To replace Samuel and go through with the plan? To send a sleeper agent to the Titans? Did he have multiple contingencies? What was his best case scenario and what was his worst?

Both actually even if Pete didn't want to follow with the plan Blood now can use a sleep agent with the titans and use the four titans as a sacrifice instead of his four elite goons.

first that i can imagine is Pete doesn't remmeber who he's and slowly try to use blood as a crutch to rebuild his memories and keep with his plan without the titans knowing.

Worst case pete runs and has no idea of who the hell he is and the fear of the unknow would make him more dependent of Blood's teachings. Most likely Pete's friends and family that he had in the Hive would help blood into Pete's indoctrination.

And i think Bloods worst scenario is his plan failling and him having to start everything from the bottom.

Hello, good people of /qst/. This quest is, as is probably obvious from the OP pic, based on the Teen Titans animated series. You'll be taking the part of a young man and potential Titan, guiding him through his trials and tribulations.

Write-ins of dialogue are allowed, but they won't be put in as-written, just sort of the spirit of the write-in. Additionally, dialogue write-ins require a significant amount of support from other players to be put in, as they can greatly affect the character.

Action write-ins will only be allowed under certain circumstances, which I'll announce. You can suggest an action to me if you want, and I may allow it, but might not depending on various factors.

No dice system in this quest. Victory and defeat will come down to decisions rather than random luck. Learn from experiences, develop strategies, and think outside the box at times (like I said, an action can be suggested to me).

Above all, have fun. I want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. Through success, failure, and everything in-between, I hope this will be an adventure worth remembering.

While you're glad that Raven appears to be in no physical danger, what she just said to you makes clear why she looks so absolutely terrified. Her father, Trigon? Not really knowing what else to do, you reach out and take one of Raven's hands, wanting to give her something of a physical anchor to help her snap out of it. You don't think there's anything you can say in this moment to stop the overwhelming terror she's feeling.

She looks in your direction upon feeling the physical contact. You sit there, looking her in the eye, and begin going through the breathing exercises she taught you soon after the two of you met, wordlessly attempting to help her snap out of it. Raven's eyes begin to lose that far-off look they had, and soon, she grips your hand, going through the exercises herself until she calms down enough to think straight.

She lets go of your hand, standing up and waving hers. That's when you notice that all of the candles in the room have gone out, and the light that allowed you to see your friend was coming from those symbols covering her body, which have now begun to fade as the candles begin to flicker once again.

"Thank you," Raven says, no longer looking at you.

She turns and starts toward one of several book-shelves that occupy her room, searching for one in particular, by the looks of things. Quickly finding what she was looking for, she pulls out a white-covered book, then moves toward a shelf stocked with all sorts of strange items; liquids you don't recognize, claws and eyes from various creatures, a variety of salts and spices, a crystal ball, and some boxes of which you cannot guess the contents.

As you let Raven do whatever she's trying to do, you feel yourself growing weary. You really feel like resting right now.

"Alright...I have everything I need to put some more powerful warding spells around the tower," she says, more to herself than you. "This time, we'll be ready..."

She places the book atop the shelf, then turns back to you, pulling up her hood with magic rather than just using her hands for whatever reason.

"We should tell the others," she says to you.

It looks like she plans to meditate or do more breathing exercises before she joins the team to discuss this matter. That's probably for the best. Something like this is going to require her to keep level-headed, especially after a freak-out like the one she had before. You leave her in peace and quiet, stepping out into the hall and pulling out your communicator.

You set the call to go to Beast Boy, Cyborg, Robin, Starfire, and Troia, quickly telling them to meet in the living room, as something important has come up. They all quickly assure you that they're on their way, and you put your communicator back in your pocket, walking the rest of the way to the living room.

Robin and Cyborg are already there, with Starfire arriving moments after you, and Beast Boy showing up shortly after that. Troia makes her way in about a minute later, and as she sits down on the sofa, Raven enters the room, coming to stand in front of the sofa beside you.

"Everyone," she addresses the team. "Peter and I did some digging, and we know what Blood's up to."

"You do?" Robin asks in genuine surprise. "How?"

You nod for Raven to continue, not particularly caring if she reveals where the two of you got your information on Blood's plans.

"We dug through Peter's memories," Raven explains with your approval. "We saw a part of his memory of leaving Blood. He found some papers written about Project 20:7, and found a symbol we're all familiar with. The mark of Scath."

"What?!" Beast Boy shouts in disbelief.

The sudden looks of extreme worry on the faces of your friends tell you more than enough about just how dangerous the situation is, if Raven's previous freak-out didn't already do so. You now also have a name to put to the symbol you saw, so that's something, you guess.

"Brother Blood is attempting to summon Trigon," Raven tells them.

"How's that possible?" Cyborg asks her. "I thought you killed Trigon."

Raven shakes her head, lowering her head. "I couldn't destroy him altogether. The most I could do was banish him from our dimension and hope that he wouldn't be able to come back."

"It looks like he's gone back to recruiting old enemies," Robin remarks. "First Slade, now Brother Blood."

"But when we fought the Brother Blood, he did not wear the mark of Scath as Slade did," Starfire points out. "Why is that?"

"I don't know," Raven admits. "Maybe Trigon wasn't close enough to give him the powers he gave Slade. But he is now."

Beast Boy frowns. "You mean..."

She nods. "The marks appeared on my skin. Trigon is coming."

So I'd guess it would be 4 for the sacrifice, and one as a physical link for Trigon to Earth. Which may also explain why Samuel ran away, cause he doesn't want his friends and sister killed to make him a meat puppet for Not-Satan.

"We can find Blood and take him down," Cyborg declares, rising from the sofa. "And this time, we make sure he never comes back."

Most of the others look at Cyborg with concern, though Troia does not seem really opposed to the idea. You guess amazons are all about finishing things once and for all.

"We'll stop Blood," Robin promises, standing up. "But we need to know more before we go after him."

That makes sense; walking into a fight with somebody like Blood completely blind would just be foolish. The smart thing is to know what you're getting yourself into. But, unfortunately, Cyborg doesn't really seem to see it that way, if the look on his face is any indication.

"He's trying to summon freaking Trigon!" Cyborg shouts at the team leader. "What more do we need to know?!"

"Uh....where he is?" Beast Boy suggests.

"That's not a problem," Cyborg assures him, looking to you. "It's got to be in Peter's memories somewhere, right? Him and Raven can just track it down for us, then we go in there and take Blood apart!"

Most of them have that understanding, but there are exceptions. Starfire killed one of the gordonians that enslaved her, Donna goes by the "show mercy, but understand when someone truly bad needs to be put down" way of thinking. Cyborg is willing to kill in the case of Blood, Robin once tried to break Slade's neck, Beast Boy tried to flat out kill Slade more than once, and Raven, well, I don't recall her actively trying to kill before.

"I'm going to put warding spells up around the tower," she cuts him off. "Then I'm going to look into ways to block Blood's brainwashing powers."

"Alright," Robin tells her with a shrug. "Beast Boy, I want you to see if you can find Thunder and Lightning. We might need them when it's time to face Blood."

"On it!" the green Titan declares, rushing out of the room and pulling out his communicator.

"Peter," Robin addresses you. "You call Rose."

Robin nods in understanding. "That's fine. You've earned it, and we'll need your mind rested if you and Raven are going to keep going through those repressed memories. So let Rose know what's going on, then go get some sleep. It's not like we're going after Blood today."

Relieved to hear that, you step out of the room, walking the halls toward your own and pulling out your communicator, which you quickly use to call Rose. You're greeted by her unmasked face on your communicator, so she must either be in public, or have reached her safe house.

"Hey, Pete," she greets. "What's up?"

Doing as Robin asked, you fill her in on the situation, giving the basic rundown of what you know, and what the Titans are doing at the moment. Ultimately, you don't know when Robin plans to move against Blood, or what exactly the plan is when the madman is found. But, she seems to get the gist from this information.

"I'll remain in Jump City, then," she assures you. "Contact me when you know more."

With that, you end the call, then head to your room, quickly climbing under the covers, resting your head on the pillow, and quickly falling into a restful sleep.

"Someone's been doing some digging around in here," the last voice you want to hear right now declares. "Find anything interesting?"

You find yourself in the mindscape that you and Raven walked before, and you know that Brother Blood is in here with you. But, as you look for him, you just can't seem to find him.

"Oh, what's this?" you hear him ask from somewhere out in the dark. "Oh my, Peter. Perhaps you shouldn't have looked at that. You know what they say, my boy. Some things are better left buried."

Been thinking about character death.

As MoG intimated, Peter dying in his story is a real possibility and that's fine. It builds tension and creates stakes. But its tricky to make it feel both fair and satisfying.

Given that there are means by which you can come back to life in the DC universe, I hope that if death happens, it doesn't stick unless 1. it feels like a satisfying conclusion to Peter's story, 2. It ends the game due to lack of interest.

Death and resurrection is of course done to death, but I think that it could still make for an interesting arc. For instance, what if Peter suffers ego death and we play Samuel for a while? Or if Peter dies, but he's resurrected as an undead ala Slade and has to figure a way to come fully back to life. Or perhaps his body dies but his psyche survives, and he's stuck sharing headspace with another character (hero or villain).

While I'm down to give Blood the silent treatment again, this might be a rare opportunity to manipulate Blood.

The goal of course is to convince him to not summon Trigon, but barring an argument that completely stuns MoG I do not expect it to work. An anticlimax here would not be satisfying story telling. We may get him to spill the beans on the finer points of his plan or even get him to hesitate and push back his time table, both wins.

The strategy would be the same as in our interrogation: turn our biggest obstacle against itself. In this case, Blood's ego. We need to walk a fine line, alternatingly stroking and wounding his narcissism, but with well delivered argument. Even if he could go ape shit on our brain, that'd be admitting defeat. He’s a talker and confident of his intellectual superiority, his go-to response would be to counter our arguments in a way to demonstrate his superiority and ideally instill fear or despair. If we call descend into insults or poorly thought out arguments he’ll have nothing to prove and will just kick our asses. Warning though: if we well and truly dash his plans, he'll kick our asses anyway, but hopefully we'll have bought enough time that someone else could help.

I'm working on an outline.

Here's an outline on how to manipulate Blood.

Set low expectations but create intrigue so he has a reason to listen, even if it's only to laugh at our foolishness. 'I saw enough to know that you plan to summon Trigon, and to see your plan is fataly flawed.’
Set down what amounts to a non argument in Blood's mind, but instantly reject it. Each time we reject our own argument we give him a chance to underestimate us and then prove him wrong, gradually building our credibility. It's also possible we inadvertently credit him uncovering a mistake he didn't consider. 'I mean, yes, it will fail because the Teen Titans will beat Trigon again, but that's not why.’ This is especially potent if we're revealing new information. 'You knew that, right? That the Titans beat Trigon. You might not remember it because we were all dead at the time.’
Present the central threat and a poor argument then refute it. 'Trigon will kill you at his earliest convenience. He’s not going to spare you out of gratitude. You aren't an ally, in his eyes, you're a pawn. But you're not naive. You know that. You have a plan to make yourself indispensable. Maybe you plan on manipulating him. He’s powerful but as long as he has desires you can discover you can prepare leverage.’
Point out a flaw in the reasoning you present Blood. 'The moment you stop being beneath contempt is the moment Trigon starts planning on when to dispose of you. If you miscalculate at all, it will be instant. Even still, that's no way to live. You plan to use him and get rid of him or seize his power for yourself.’
Present the underlying flaw that will make your premise too. 'But you feel comfortable with that. You've considered the risks, and you can thread that needle long enough to achieve your goals. And that's the flaw. The longer you live the more certain it is that you make a mistake. Your weakness is that you overestimate yourself and underestimate your opponents. Once you decide you’ve considered every possibility you refuse to consider that you might overlooked something. That's how Cyborg beat you, isn't it? And Cyborg is no Trigon.’
Bonus: Blood realizes we're manipulating him by exploiting his ego right now, driving the point home and pissing him off royally.
