Optimus had made a good point. At the present time you dont quite know what the spider is planning and what her overall goals are. Fortunately, you did obtain access to her encoded transmissions in order to keep tabs on her if, and when, she becomes a more tangible threat. In the meantime, there's still the matter of the missions that Optimus seems to evaluating. Tarantulas' desert outpost and the mega cannon that's been set up near the Predacon base. While the leader of the Maximals has his own views on the situation and will most likely have two teams hit each target, there are things you should also consider.

Tarantulas, according to everyone else, is a sneaking and conniving individual. While the she spider shares similar tactics and scheming personalities, at least with her you know she's got something up her sleeve. According to the others, this guy's a twisted lunatic. His lair will be booby trapped for certain. That said, who knows what kind of interesting toys he might have lying around. You can always take them or sabotage them for your own amusement.

And then there's the cannon. This thing is designed for ship on ship combat. Even the hardiest of bots would risk getting vaped by a direct hit. That said, such weapons dont exactly have a high rate of fire. But any team that heads in to take it out, will have to be quick and quiet. Explosives will also be mandatory to ensure its completely scrapped.

So what would be the best course of action? There might be some other task that can be done but these are the high alert targets of opportunity. Optimus and the other senior members may opt for a different objective, but thats not to say that some key words couldnt sway plans to suit your own personal ideas.

"Well I just wanted to pass along the intel, boss. Let me know when you need me." You say with a smile.

Optimus nods. "I appreciate it. Good work, Nightracer." He turns back towards the desk. "I'll be sure to let you know once we've finally come up with a plan."

You exit into the main command hub. It seems most of the other Maximals have already either taken off or are relaxing in the crew quarters. Rattrap and Kickback are at the usual console for scanner duty. Seems he's going over some of the typical day to day task.

You recall Cheetor is still in the CR Chamber, Dinobot is off doing who knows what, Rhinox is most likely working on your drone, and presumably Airazor and Tigatron are off towards the north.

What do you want to do?

"Hey boys."

"Well well, I see you've been making your rounds. Looking to climb the corporate ladder?" Rattrap jest as you approach.

"Shut up Rattrap." You dust him off. "So what are you two up to?"

Kickback turns his chair around. "RT has been giving me a quick primer on the ship's routine task." He turns back around. "That said, sounds like you were up to something just a bit ago."

Rattrap, "Heh, she was fooling around and stumbled up on a Pred signal."

"Stumbled? I was looking into the possible actions that Optimus and Dinobot were discussing when I expertly remembered about our listening device." You stand there smugly as you look over your fingers. "Thanks to my quick thinking and Rhinox's technical talents, we've learned a bit about what the enemy is planning and up to."

"Sounds like things are going to be getting interesting." Kickback replies.

"You know it. Not sure which way the higher ups will decide, but you can be sure that'll mean some action." You give a sly smile.

Rattrap shakes his head. "No rest for the wicked."

The three of you share a chuckle.

You move over and sit next to the console close to Kickback. You hadn't really gotten much time to really talk with the guy.

"So you were pretty quick out there." Activate program charm.exe. "Think you can outrun the cats?"

Kickback nose twitches. "Hmm, well I'm not quite sure. I've only really encountered Tigatron and we weren't exactly in a racing mood."

"I'm not hearing a 'Noooo'."

"Heh, I'd bet a stack of creds that the rabbit could give ol' Stripes a run for his money."

The rabbit seems to be contemplating the possibility. "Well, IF i were to wager a guess, I suppose I could win."

"Aw you're not fun. You're too modest." Rattrap crosses his arms. "What do you think Hooters?"

"Oh what do i think?" You trace your finger back up to your lips, as you consider. "Well, I'm absolutely certain that both of you are faster than Rattrap."

"HEY!" Rattrap squeaks as you continue.

"That said, I'd wager maybe our new rabbit might give Tigatron a run for his money." While you take note of the rabbit straightening up in the chair, seemingly intrigued at you showing faith in his abilities. Of course, he doesn't know better.

"Then again, Owls eat rabbits as well as rats, so I'd say that would put me on top." You give them both a wink and lick of the lips. Even go as far as kick up your leg, pushing Kickback's chair to bump into Rattrap. The two rodents shake their heads thrown off balance as you chuckle mischievously. "What you two think? Hmm?"

"Oh for boot in the cold..." Rattrap sputters as he feebly tries to assemble some sort of comeback.

"Well, ehm, I would feel thats a bit of a unfair advantage on your part." Kickback says. "Well with your natural advantage of flight. I was under the impression that this was in regards of a foot race."

"Alls fair you know." You chuckle. Oh these little rodent boys are such fun to tease. They make it too easy. Being the alpha predator is such hard work.

"Careful, Ears. Hooters here likes to try to sink her talons into almost anything." Rattrap leans back against the central control console. "Besides, she was moving pretty sluggish back up in the frozen waste when we pick you up. In fact, i recall a certain hare running circles around everyone."

"I was removing Waspinator from the equation." You cross your arms. While you were trying to look for a means of getting rid of him without actually injuring him, he doesnt need to know that.

"Oooooooo, big accomplishment! You manage to take out Waspinator." He makes over dramatic hand gestures. Kickback chuckles.

"Oh, yea? Well atleast I actually hit something with my gun! What were you doing the whole time other than hiding in the snow, cowering 'We're all gonna die?!" You get up from your table and step up towards the rat.

"I was putting up a perimeter of explosives remember lil' misfires." Rattrap gets in your face as well.

The two of you nearly butting heads. Your feathers ruffle and poof up as he cocks his eyes at you, his lip quivering as he makes that schink sound from his mouth. Kickback starts getting up from his seat. Looks like he's not sure what to do, but takes defensive stance preparing himself in case things get anymore heated between the two of you.

You think about it for a moment and decide you owe the rat. You dont hate him, but he's a bit of a pest. So you feel its time to do something about it. Since you're so close to him and his guard apparently down, you seize the initiative. You grab Rattrap, pulling him chest to chest.

"Hey! What the?!" Rattrap is flustered trying to figure out what you're pulling, until he realizes its him.

While you're not quite the strongest maximal, you and Rattrap are roughly the same size and weight. With enough momentum and use of your hips you manage to give the rat a one way trip to suplex city.

You bring him down hard on his shoulder with a thud. Kickback takes a small hop back and is in a combative stance as he watches. He seems to be wondering what your planning. On the other hand, you think the suplex might have alerted some of the others.

"What in the inferno is all that racket?!" You see the irascible raptor stomping in from the hallway. He scans the room looking over the three of you, with an annoyed snarl, though one could argue that's his resting expression.

You start slinking away from the downed rodent whistling nonchalantly. "Oh, hello Dinobot. Good to see you." Putting your hand on your chest, feinting surprise. "Oh dear, it would appear that Rattrap slipped and fell."

Rattrap grunts as he attempts to right himself. "Are you kidding me?! Don't tell me you by this crazed birds slag."

Turning your attention back to Rattrap you give him a smirk, "Now now, rat. No need to save face, we're all clumsy at one time or another. Sometimes its something as simple as walking," you give him a glare, "Or trying to handle a power coupling."

Dinobot crosses his arms, his expression souring further. "Oh is that right?" He turns to the ninja rabbit, still in a stance; his own expression a mixture of confusion and tension. "And what have you to say on this subject?"

Kickback relaxes his stance. "Well, you see." He leans down and gives Rattrap a hand getting back up. "Its not exactly the way Nightracer says it."

"I guessed that much," Dinobot snaps. He shakes is head in frustration. "If you three are going to act like imbeciles instead of soldiers, then perhaps a training exercise is in order." He cracks a smile as he looks over all of you. Dinobot smiling is quite an unnerving thing. Nothing good can be cooking up in his processor.

An awkward silence hangs. You turn your attention back to the saurian.

"Do we get to pick teams? Cause if so, not Rattrap."

"Pfft, don't flatter yourself sister." He retorts.

"Will you two pipe down?!" Dinobot snaps at both of you. He lets out a low growl as he contemplates precisely what he has in store for you all. "Though you bring up an interesting proposition. A two on two skirmish. Of course, there are other options."

So then what should it be? Go with the two on two skirmish or try to reason and negotiate with Dinobot. Or perhaps come up with another excuse?

"Don't flatter yourself rat." You bite back. While you'd rather not, you have to admit that you've worked well with Rattrap in the past. You've also worked with Dinobot with some interesting results and Kickback is fresh outta the pod, so no telling how compatible the two you are.

So who should you attempt to get to be your ally?
