>Fighting Flames Edition

Hello, good people of /qst/. This quest is, as is probably obvious from the OP pic, based on the Teen Titans animated series. You'll be taking the part of a young man and potential Titan, guiding him through his trials and tribulations.

>Rules

There will be a 15 minute voting period between posts.

Please only choose one option (I will let you know in cases where you can choose more)

An option with two arrows (>>) beside it is one that can be combined with other options

Write-ins of dialogue are allowed, but they won't be put in as-written, just sort of the spirit of the write-in. Additionally, dialogue write-ins require a significant amount of support from other players to be put in, as they can greatly affect the character.

Action write-ins will only be allowed under certain circumstances, which I'll announce. You can suggest an action to me if you want, and I may allow it, but might not depending on various factors.

No dice system in this quest. Victory and defeat will come down to decisions rather than random luck. Learn from experiences, develop strategies, and think outside the box at times (like I said, an action can be suggested to me).

Above all, have fun. I want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. Through success, failure, and everything in-between, I hope this will be an adventure worth remembering.

You know, as far as cartel bosses that literally worship cocaine go, I think Snowflame seems pretty reasonable so far.
>>

Hard to say. Small sample size.

Not if you're living south of Texas.
>>
As Snowflame gives you an unsettling smile, you kind of regret saying anything to him. Maybe you and Raven should have hightailed it out of here as soon as this coked-up-crazy showed up in the first place. With armed followers and a clear lack of worry at being in the presence of two of the city's super-powered defenders, you consider that you may be far out of your league with this guy.

Raven, for her part, doesn't show any sort of worry. If anything, she looks impatient and annoyed, like pretty much every time Beast Boy tries to make her laugh. That makes you feel slightly better about the situation, but a nagging part of you asks if she's just trying to put on a brave front. You know full-well that Raven is quite capable of fear. She's just usually good at hiding it.

"Well, my wise young Titan," the oddly-dressed gang leader addresses you. "I have met Lady Vic only once before, but she is a woman who values material wealth above all else. I have no desire to do battle with you costumed children at present, and she would not do so on her own without considerable incentive. There are few individuals in this city with the means or motive to hire someone like her to capture you. And, there are even fewer that would attempt to sabotage my business in the first place."

He kneels on the floor, wiping one of his fingers across the hard surface, and bringing it to his nose, inhaling sharply and seeming to shudder just a bit.

"The last men who tried to take the magnificent riches of the white powder from my possession served as an example of what it means to interfere in my business," Snowflame explains, rising back to his feet. "I can think of only one man who would be bold and foolish enough to do this. Roland Desmond."

"So, the Blockbusters," Raven remarks, not sounding overly surprised.

"Yes," Snowflame tells her, frowning. "The vermin have been making war against myself and my people; hunting down my men, stealing my product, interfering with deals, and, so it seems, hiring one from my own organization to work against me."

He turns toward his men, motioning with his hand, and the armed individuals relax their posture considerably, no longer looking like they'll put a bullet in your brain at any second. Curious, you look to Snowflame, who looks back at you, then at Raven.

"It seems we have a common enemy, Titans," Snowflame tells you.

>A. "That doesn't make us friends."

>B. "So what, you want us to work together?"

>C. "We'll handle the Blockbusters, you keep out of it."

Let Raven handle negotiations. She's been at this longer.

It'd be nice if Snowflame could give the Titans some intel on his competition, but the last thing Jump City needs is a straight-up gang war.

You really want to tell Snowflame and his men to keep out of this while the Titans deal with the Blockbusters. But, you aren't sure that's the wisest idea, especially considering you just got him in a good enough mood to put his men at ease. Unsure of how to handle this situation, you look to Raven, hoping that her experience will allow her to gracefully handle-

"What's your point?" she demands of Snowflame, her tone anything but pleasant. "Use being enemies with the Blockbusters doesn't make us friends with you. You might not have come after us, but you still destroy lives with what you do. Now leave, or wait here to be arrested, we're not going to work with you."

Snowflame stares at your friend for a moment, and you do the same, not really expecting this kind of outburst. Her face is contorted in barely-restrained anger, and she's positioned her arms in such a way that she can start casting spells at any moment.

This is not what you were hoping for. You just hope that Snowflame won't get too angry at Raven's outburst. Besides, with what you said about the police being on their way, he probably won't want to waste time. He'll have no way of knowing that it'll be some time before they actually arrive, and he may not know that all of the other Titans are dealing with a prison break-in.

Snowflame smiles, and you feel yourself getting very nervous very quickly, unsure if that smile is a good thing for you and Raven.

"Men," he speaks without looking at his followers. "Take Lady Vic and these "officers" away. I think I will stay here and educate these children on what happens to those that challenge the mighty Snowflame."

Nodding, the men begin to gather up the bound individuals, while Snowflame gives Raven a disturbing smile, one clearly promising unpleasantness for her.

Your mind races as you try to decide what to do. Does he intend to attack you as well? If not, maybe you can take out his men while he's busy with Raven. But, then, you don't know if Raven can take this guy alone. Going after the men and leaving her to deal with Snowflame could cause her to get really hurt, or worse. And how much good can you do? Whether you go after the men or help Raven, you've already expended a lot of energy in your fight with Vic. So between this drug-worshiping lunatic and his well-armed followers, you don't know what difference you'll actually be able to make.

"Come, children!" Snowflame challenges, spreading his arms wide and leaving himself exposed. "Make your futile efforts to harm me!"

I figure we just need to stall until the police gets here.
If Raven ends up needing help we can reassess things, but for now we should prevent the thugs from leaving with our suspects.

>>
>>2400797
It's cocaine because even Batman would be forced to accommodate the might of Snowflame.
>>
>>2400704
Well, that's it for negotiations. You don't want Snowflame's men to get away, but you also don't want to leave Raven to fight that crazy man on his own. Despite your worry that you'll be unable to make too much of a difference in this fight, you aren't about to back down from this creep, especially not when doing so would put a friend in danger.

Channeling the righteous fury you hold toward anybody that would harm your friends, you throw a Psychic Punch that strikes the man on his right cheek, caving it in a bit and pushing his head toward his left shoulder. While he's still reeling from that, you strike him again, this time in his side just below the ribs, then the back of his head. He doesn't seem able to fight back at all, and Raven doesn't even bother to get involved just yet since you seem to have the situation well enough in hand.

You hold off from any more attacks, watching as Snowflame lifts his head back into position, then turns toward you. The grin on his face sends chills down your spine, and you realize that you don't have the situation in hand, not at all.

"Impressive abilities, young man," he compliments. "But you are a fool. I am incapable of feeling pain, though I applaud your attempts to cause it. An attack like that would have been more than enough to defeat most men, but I am no mere man!"

He runs forward, shoulder-charging you and sending you falling to the ground, pain shooting through you as you quickly understand that he is far stronger physically than most others. You think that Donna and maybe Starfire could overpower him, but someone like you wouldn't stand a chance.

"I am Snowflame!" he roars, standing over you like a mountain. "I am the fire that can never be snuffed out! I am the embodiment of the powered god! Every atom in my body is inflamed with the intense, unyielding power! My mind, my body, taken to limitless heights through the divine substance coursing through my veins! Cocaine strengthens my muscles, sharpens my mind, gives me breath, and transforms me into a god among men!"

A table slams into him from the side, and he's knocked to the ground by the impact. But, once again, he shows no signs of injury or pain, simply standing back up and looking to Raven, whose eyes glow with dark magic, and hands swirl with power waiting to be unleashed.

"Your witchcraft will not save you," Snowflame promises, starting toward her. "Such weak mysticism is nothing before the true magic of cocaine!"

Your fury only growing, you do what you can to stop Snowflame from reaching Raven. You see a red glow surround the man, and his movement slow from a stroll to a snail's pace. He looks over his shoulder at you, that smile not leaving his face despite his current predicament. You already worry that this won't be enough to stop him, but luckily, you aren't alone, as Raven uses her magic to lift the dented and deframed door to the storage unit. With you on the ground and safely below the path of the object, Raven hurls it, striking Snowflame from behind with the large, heavy piece of metal.

You feel a surge of difficulty keeping him in place when the door impacts, yet he still doesn't move. He still looks unharmed, which is quite distressing. Maybe sticking around and fighting this guy was a bad idea.

He seems strong enough that even if we hold out long enough for the cops show up all it will mean is more people getting hurt. Maybe Peter could actually do something to him if he got mad enough, but that would probably risk him passing out and just becoming dead weight for Raven.
>>
So are we abandoning the tied-up officers?
>>
>>2401051
I'm kind of assuming we already missed our chance to save them? Snowflame's men were taking them while we were fighting their boss.
>>
>>2401051
They are not really cops, so at least that.

>>2401063
Also this
>>
>>2401051
>>2401063
This is my sense too. Hopefully Snowflame keeps his word. The cops may be able to identify the three dead people, and if they are the officers, then the six were all dummies. Its a loss, regardless, but an understandable one given the situation.
>>
>>2401071
Snowflame already identified the three dead bodies as his men. Probably killed when Lady Vic changed sides on him. Snowflame did at least claim to have no interest in actually hurting any real police, but whether he keeps that promise or will make an honest attempt to actually discover the truth of the situation is unknown.
>>
>>2401083
Ah, missed that detail.
>>
>>2401071
>>2401083
Snowflame is probably smart/coherent enough to know that killing cops is just going to get more targets on his operations.

"Raven, I think we should run and fight another day," you tell your friend, feeling your hold on Snowflame already beginning to waver. "The other Titans still need your help."

Raven watches as Snowflame begins to start toward her once again, your attempts to hold him not strong enough to prevent the madman from reaching her. Her expression is hard to read, but when she looks at you, you can already tell that she's made up her mind.

Keeping Snowflame bound as well as you can, you rush toward Raven, cursing as you notice Snowflame beginning to pick up speed. The pain in your head quickly intensifies, and you can feel your already tenuous grip on the man growing weaker and weaker. This situation is getting worse by the second, with your powers already on the verge of failing, and the hostages either already in the custody of Snowflame's men, or seconds away from being in such a state. Frankly, you aren't even sure you'll have the strength to teleport both you and Raven very far once you reach her, or that you'll even be able to keep Snowflame restrained for long enough.

Fortunately, Raven doesn't just sit back and let you do all the work. Seeing the state you're in, she takes command of the situation, quickly closing the distance, and grabbing hold of your wrist. Before you have the chance to attempt a teleportation, you find yourself surrounded by darkness. Raven's taking care of the travel.

Relieved, you let her take you far from Snowflame, and the next thing you know, you're standing in the living room of Titans Tower, Raven standing beside you. She helps you to the couch and gently sits you down before stepping back.

"Are you going to be alright by yourself?" she asks, concern as plain in her voice as it is on her face.

>A. "I'll be fine, thank you. Now go, the others need you."

"I'll be fine," you assure her. "Thank you. Now go, the others need you."

Nodding, Raven vanishes from sight, off on her way to help the others in defending the prison from its break-in problem. Hopefully, with her, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Rose there to back-up Robin and the girls, it'll be enough to win the day. Things have been difficult and complicated enough already.

Alone (presumably, though Silkie's in the tower somewhere), you decide to simply relax until the others return. Your body is somewhat tired, and your mind has been taxed by what transpired at the storage lot. What you could use right now is some good meditation to soothe your mind and relax your body.

You get into a lotus position, close your eyes, and begin chanting your mantra when you hear your communicator buzz. Eyes shooting open, you retrieve the device and open it, finding a text message from an unknown source.

"Samuel, we need to talk. I'm right outside."

Getting to your feet, you approach the living room windows, looking down to the ground below, where a single individual clad in HIVE armor stands waiting.

You're curious, but not enough so to go outside of the secure tower and put yourself in danger to satisfy that curiosity. Besides, after the day you've had, you do not want to have to deal with another fight, especially not with somebody from the HIVE. Since they referred to you by your old name, you're guessing you knew them when you were part of the HIVE. But, from here, you can't tell who it is. It could be Linus, could be Marissa, could be Ryan, could be Paul. Whoever it is, you don't feel like having a face-to-face meeting.

So, instead, you call them back. And they pick up right away.

"Hello, Samuel," a woman's voice greets from the other end.

Your heart stops, and a flash of memories you've uncovered come flooding into your consciousness. You recall the first vision you found of yourself and a blonde-haired woman taking orders from Blood. You remember the talk you had with her in the gardens of Blood's base. You remember her face, you remember her voice, and you remember her identity.

"Samuel isn't here," you reply. "This is Peter. The last person to see Samuel was Blood. Just thought you needed to be reminded of that."

Your voice is harsh, maybe more than you meant it to, maybe not. Either way, the person on the other end is silent for a bit following your words. You almost wonder if she's just going to hang up or something, but soon enough, she speaks again.

"Samuel or Peter, you're still my son," she says to you, her voice sounding sad, and hurt. "But alright, Peter it is. You recognized me, right? It's not some big shock to hear that I'm your mother?"

"I recognized you," you answer.

"Good," she tells you, her voice seeming a little overwhelmed. "And I'm so glad you're okay. Brother Blood...I know he's been trying to...well, get in your head. But from what I can tell, you've been beating him every time."

You aren't sure, but you almost swear you can hear pride in her voice at that last part.

"I don't blame you for not wanting to come back," she tells you. "Especially with him doing something as horrible as attacking your mind. But, I still wish you would. I'm sure Marissa and Si-Linus already gave you warnings though, right?"

"They did," you answer. "But, I'm guessing none of you know exactly what Blood's planning. Otherwise, you would have ran like I did."

You hope that's the case. From what you can tell, you were every bit as loyal to Blood as the others when you found out what he was planning, and what you discovered was enough to shatter that loyalty and make you flee. The others, surely they would have done the same if they knew the truth, right? They wouldn't have stayed with a lunatic like Blood, at least not willingly.

"I..." your mom starts. "I...all I know is that Blood is working to bring about some major source of power, and that to get it, we'll have to make temporary sacrifices. You knew that much when you were part of the HIVE, and that was something you'd accepted."

Is she trying to justify staying with Blood? To convince you that your loyalty should have been maintained? Where is she going with this?

"Since the day you...since the accident," she continues. "I wondered...well, first I wondered if you'd ever wake up. But, I also wondered what made you run. What scared you so much that it took you away from me?"

Her voice is trembling now, like she's a hair's breadth from bursting into tears. You don't like the way that makes you feel.

"Please," she begs. "I know that you don't want anything to do with me, Marissa, Linus, or the others anymore. But please, just tell me what you saw. I need to know."

>>A. "Alright, but once I tell you, I want all of you to leave me alone."

>>B. "It's not that I want nothing to do with you. But I'm a Titan now, you're working for Blood, and everybody knows that things are not going to end well between our sides."

>C. "Blood is going to summon a demon named Trigon. I'm not sure for what. He said he wasn't planning to destroy the world, or control Trigon, but whatever he's planning that involves that monster can't be good."

"It's not that I want nothing to do with you," you tell her sincerely. "But, I'm a Titan now, you're working for Blood, and everybody knows that things are not going to end well between our sides. I...I want you to get out while you still can."

"Please..." she begs again, "Tell me what happened, I need to know."

With a sigh, you give her what she wants. "Blood is going to summon a demon named Trigon. I'm not sure for what. He said he wasn't planning to destroy the world, or control Trigon, but whatever's he's planning that involves that monster can't be good."

"Trigon?!" your mother gasps. "That...that can't be true, there must some mistake, you must have heard or seen something wrong...there's no way Brother Blood would ever summon Trigon himself. Maybe some lesser demon he could control, but Trigon? Why...why would he..."

She sounds genuinely confused, shocked, and absolutely horrified. It looks like your suspicions are pretty close to the truth if her present response is any indication. Still, she's having trouble accepting it, she may just remain in denial about all of this.

"I...I need to think," she finally says. "I'll be in touch."

You think that's going to be the end of the conversation, but before she hangs up, she says one more thing.

"I love you, son."

>>To be continued

And that, dear readers, is where we will stop for tonight. I hope everyone had a good time and that the family drama wasn't too much of a drag for you all.

As always, I welcome questions, comments, concerns, ideas, things you want to see, criticisms, and discussion in general.

My Twitter is still @INSTIGATORQST, and I will usually post there ahead of time for threads, as well as schedule changes.

Thank you all for playing, and, again, I hope you all had fun. See you next time!

I mean, its perfectly possible that there is an acceptable-ish answer. As the others have implied, Blood provided our family with some form of aid. If our situation was desperate enough, yeah, a parent could make a deal with the devil, or convince herself that it wasn't a devil at all.
>>
>>2401605
Maybe Pete's grandparents raised her in a cult too and she doesn't know any better?
>>
>>2401647
Perfectly possible. Might even be the same cult. In comics continuity, Brother Blood is a title that has been passed down for centuries. Would make for an awkward moment if we end up dating Raven.
>>
>>2401657
Maybe when she first joined Blood she thought she would be the only one who would owe a debt, but Blood kept adding more and more to the original agreement.

Heh.

How do you figure the matter will finally be settled? My sense, for the moment at least, is that everyone is pretty open to each of the main three competitors, and so the support each gets is in flux, meaning that it also depends on how much attention MoG gives the character.

I don't have a lot of experience with quests. How did things settle there?
>>
Just caught up, will proceed to archive voting soon, but yeah >>2403463 I feel like the characters are well written enough that I'd personally be fine with any outcome though I'm mostly in the raven camp for now just cause I feel like the other 2 would almost... gain less from a romance with KC if that makes any sense.

Obviously since I'm not MoG it means nothing. I limited it to the three main choices. It does require an e-mail address, unfortunately, though I suppose that increases confidence in the accuracy of these tests.

>>2403550
Nice. But would be sad.

Curious about your thoughts, re: Starfire. Is it the whole 'she's currently in a relationship thing', or something else?
>>
>>2403554
The whole 'she is in a relationship and we are in a team with her boyfriend'.

That's specially uncomfortable because it hits close to home. Sorta.
>>
>>2403557
Perfectly understandable. I would not be game for a homewrecker angle. Only if the relationship dissolved in a way that remained amicable and we had Robin's blessing.

Alternatively, if we leaned into the challenge of it. Peter and/or Starfire come to the sudden realization that they're attracted to the other and they navigate how inconvenient that is. It'd be a challenging but interesting story. I don't know if we can handle it though.
>>
>>2403574
I was gonna post a clarification. I'd be fine if they broke up and all, but it's still awkward as hell and would need a lot of care and time.

The latter scenario has good drama/storytelling potential, but it also seems like it would end up horribly for everyone involved. Not that I don't trust the anons, it's just a recipe for pain.

Development Paths for Kid Crimson

Conditioning: MoG has already agreed to put this on automatic, as part of our morning routine.

Martial Arts: Beyond sparring, this would be working with Robin and Donna to improve Pete's fundamentals, as well as to cultivate better ability to predict and read opponents, ideally letting us focus on strategic decisions during combat over individual exchanges, and to glean more information to help us make those decisions.

Group Tactics: Surprisingly, Robin hasn't had Peter practice any group tactics. Beyond becoming better at coordinating in combat, the team might have some insight on how Peter can best compliment everyone.

Firearm Acquisition: Peter is good at shooting but doesn't have a gun. Might be good to talk to Cyborg about building a less-than-lethal firearm option. Maybe a Sonic Pistol or something that can't be disarmed and doesn't take up Pete's hands. Another option is talking to Killer Moth about getting the schematics to his silk gun. Or both.

Car Acquisition: I doubt Cyborg will ever let Peter drive the T-Car, and he can fly, but when eh does night patrol with the other Titans, it might be nice to chill in a car. Cyborg might be open to building a new car with Peter as a project. It'd be a good opportunity to hang out with him and Peter would get to learn about cars.
>>
>>2403765
>2/2
Power Stamina: Pete's powers carry major stamina issues that badly need fixing. It'd be worth asking Starfire and Raven for ideas, but it may just be something we can train up, like physical stamina, through long interval, low intensity training.

Willpower: We've recently tapped into Willpower. It doesn't seem to do anything new but instead improve the strength of our current abilities. My suspicion is that we'll have better control of Willpower if we improve our focus, and method 2 mediation, which is about focusing our mind on one thing and pushing everything else aside, might be the best method to do this. Rather than focus on a particular train of thought like when we previously tried it, we should instead focus on something simple, like a burning candle, or a shape.

Fury Improvements: It seems like we can move things with our holds. We should see about using it as telekinesis. Additionally, we should see if we can effect multiple targets simultaneously.

Fear Improvements: Places we can improve include range, size, and numbers of barriers, and look into developing a barrier aura/field to surround ourselves with.

Sorrow Improvements: We should test our carry limits on our teleports (our largest teleport were us + three Titans), as well as if we can teleport without taking things with us, or if we can teleport things without us going wtih it. Also: exploring the emotion of sorrow in a healthy way could further improve our powers.

Joy: We made a big breakthrough with Slides. Their main weakness right now is that Peter hasn't been able to fully commit to the paradigm shift it represents, usually reorienting himself to square up against enemies instead of pressing attacks from previously impossible positions. He also uses it quite stiffly. If he can incorporate natural movement he could give himself additional range of motion or feint extremely convincingly.

Explore new Emotions: I don't know if Willpower counts as a new emotion, but just in case we might want to delay on this a little bit.

The call ends, and you find your mood has soured considerably. Not entirely sure what to make of the discussion you just had, you return to the couch, assume the lotus position, and try to let your mind relax a bit. Meditation might be just what you need to calm yourself and rest your body. But, it could also be a useful method of working on some of your issues.

As outside distractions begin to fade away, you make up your mind as to which approach to take.

You decide that you're really in no shape to be doing anything strenuous on your body and mind. For now, you need relaxation. Sleep is not likely to come to you after the conversation you just had, so you settle on some soothing meditation to let your mind and body rest a bit and recover from all of the trials they have faced so far on this day.

"Azerath, Metrion, Zinthos..." you repeat to yourself as you let outside thoughts and sensations fade from your mind. Everything fades away, and peace comes to your psyche.

Time is impossible to tell as you meditate alone in the tower. After all that's happened, this momentary respite is a veritable treasure to you, and you don't plan on letting it end before you need to.

Eventually, sound returns to the room, and you open your eyes, turning to look over the back of the sofa. The rest of the team (including Rose), have returned. Most of them look pretty badly beaten (Robin isn't even walking on his own, he needs Raven to prop him up. Starfire is out cold, with Cyborg carrying her. Donna has some noticeable bruises, Beast Boy looks banged up, and Rose has to be carried by him).

Hopping right off of the couch, you rush over to your friends, wanting to help them however you can. In this case, you think that will simply entail helping to get the seriously injured over to the medical wing. That turns out to be correct, as Beast Boy holds a badly-wounded Rose over to you, looking relieved at being able to walk without the additional burden as he limps off to the medical wing himself.

The team slowly makes its way through the halls, nobody really saying anything, with many of them unable to talk, and the others not seeming to be in any mood to do so. Still, your curiosity is burning, so as you walk toward the medical center, you slow down to walk beside Donna.

"What happened?" you ask her.

"Bane," she responds, her voice grim. "He and his followers were expecting us, and proved more formidable than expected. Despite being mere men, they fought like monsters, and we found ourselves being overwhelmed."

Her eyes shift to Cyborg, and the unconscious girl in his arms.

"Robin tried to face Bane himself," Donna explains. "His experience against the behemoth of a man allowed him to hold his own while Starfire, Rose, and I fought Bane's followers. They'd prepared several traps, and were equipped with powerful weapons. To overcome them was a struggle, and things became worse when the other called Ravager showed himself. He incapacitated Rose, then aided Bane's men in fighting myself and Starfire. That's when Bane gained the upper-hand over Robin, and Starfire went to help him. Rose joined back in the fight, and we fended off Ravager and Bane's men for a time."

She scowls down at the ground. "Then Bane injected himself with that drug, and he beat Starfire into unconsciousness. Robin would have been next, but then Cyborg arrived and joined the fight. Beast Boy was not far behind, and he aided myself and Rose in fighting the enemy's forces."

She then looks to the girl in your arms. "Then Rose ran off to face Ravager alone, and wound up like this. Raven arrived soon after, and the enemies soon retreated from the prison, but not before releasing several prisoners."

"Who got out?" you question the dark-haired warrior.

"I don't know the full list," she answers, her tone increasingly frustrated as she recalls the details of the less-than-successful battle. "Mumbo, Control Freak, Blackfire, I'm not sure who else."

So, Control Freak is already out of prison, Starfire's psychotic sister is on the loose again, and there's no telling who else managed to escape in all of the chaos. Half of the team has been beaten senseless, and only two seem to have made it out of the fight relatively unscathed. If you'd been there....well, would it have made a difference?

"I'm sorry I wasn't there," you tell Donna regardless.

"Don't be," she tells you, though her tone is still bitter. "We would have failed regardless. Besides, without your going to the storage lot, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven might not have been freed, and the battle might have gone far worse."

She seems sincere in that, but you can still tell that the sting of defeat weighs heavy on her, as does the condition of most of the other Titans. Maybe it wouldn't have made a difference if you'd been there, but when you watch Robin leaning on Raven and wincing with every step, Starfire lying unconscious in Cyborg's arms, Troia with both body and ego badly bruised, Beast Boy limping forward, and Rose lying battered in your arms, you can't help but feel a heavy sense of failure, and the idea that you should have been there regardless.

Reaching the medical wing, you help get the badly injured into beds, and distribute the proper care for their injuries.

"Starfire and Rose are gonna be out for a while," Cyborg announces. "BB and Robin, you two should rest here, too. Troia-"

"I said no," the amazon tells him stubbornly. "I have not suffered nearly so much as the others. I stand ready to fight if the need arises."

>>A. "Without her, there'd only be three of us ready for battle. I say let her fight if she wants."

"You can stand ready while taking a seat and resting," you advise your friend.

She looks over at you, ready to argue, but cracks a smile after only a moment. "You've got a point, there. Alright, then."

She takes a seat beside Beast Boy's bed, placing her between both Rose and Robin in the room. You decide to keep watch over your injured friends as well, taking a seat between Starfire and Rose's beds.

"I'll be keeping a watch over what's going on in the city," Cyborg announces, leaving the room.

Raven leaves a moment later.

You guys think that if we unlock Regret, we get the power to turn back time by sending our mind back?
>>
>>2405408
I hope not. That mechanic is enough to sustain an entire game on its own.
>>
>>2405324
There's not much to say to those that are still awake. You'd much rather they just get some rest for right now, and you have a lot on your mind.

Things have gotten very bad very quickly for you and your friends. Blood may be powerless to torment your mind any longer, but now he's going to want your head. Your mother has contacted you, seemingly unaware of Blood's true motives, and now possibly in denial over the entire situation. A man capable of taking on the legendary Batman is loose in the city, and has spearheaded an attack that saw the Teen Titans battered and beaten, not to mention an unknown number of violent criminals loose on the streets. Five members of the Titans are hurt, with two of them knocked-out cold, and two are awake, but still too hurt to fight. That number might more accurately be three, but one of those three stubbornly refuses to sit out any upcoming fights.

You're not in the best shape either, physically or mentally. And while Cyborg and Raven don't look overly hurt, there's no telling how much of their energy they've expended over the past hour. It could be a minor amount, or enough to put them at a severe disadvantage in any upcoming battles.

Leaning back in your chair, you close your eyes, willing yourself to rest. There's no telling how little or how much of it you'll be getting in the near future, so you want to take advantage while you can. You sit there in silence, in the presence of several of your friends, and wait.

"Robin," you hear Beast Boy ask. "Do you think I should give Thunder and Lightning a call?"

"Not yet," Robin tells him. "We don't know if anything's going to happen, and you know how hard it is to keep those two in line."

That doesn't sound good.

There's not much point in you participating in this conversation. Robin is the leader, and he obviously knows a lot more about this situation than you do. You're just going to sit back, relax, and-

Lights begin to flash, and alarms blare in your ears, sounding different from what you normally hear when there's trouble. Your eyes shoot open, and you turn to see Beast Boy and Robin both sitting up in their beds, each looking shocked and afraid.

"Someone's busting into the tower!" Beast Boy shouts, starting to get up, only for Troia to push him back down.

"We will repel the invaders," she tells both him and Robin before looking over at you. "Peter, are you sure you're able to fight?"

Nodding, Troia rushes from the room, with you following close behind. Rushing into the living room, you find Cyborg and Raven already there, and familiar figures in HIVE armor on screen.

So, My one gripe with the current situation was the same gripe I had with bits of the original: Shit's hitting the fan and this group of highly trained teenagers has no adult supervision and no line to the justice league...What I loved from the comics was that fantastic moment at the start when Nightwing and Superman have a heart to heart about needing to let the team grow and make their own mistakes that just never happens as far as I remember in the original series. Aside from that Thank you for running and great job overall with tone and character voice.

>>
We'll hopefully be getting an earlier start tonight
>>
>>2406389
Based MoG.

>>2405815
Backup and all that talk of calling Jinx/Kid Flash, got me thinking if there's ever any chance that one of the titans will separate during the quest. Not that I look forward to that, but it's a plot point I hadn't considered. I don't think Rose counts since she is only kinda on probation. Also, Donna joining was really neat, she adds a lot to the team dynamic.
>>
>>2406511
Purely as a thought experiment, I think Robin leaving would be the most interesting. He's the team leader and so it would cause the biggest shift in dynamic. Cyborg is the natural successor to the position of leader (as Titans East showed), but it would still be a big change.
>>
>>2406769
I guess him leaving would have the most impact, yeah. Other than that, I think Raven/BB/Cy/Star wouldn't be too uneven, also Pete would be impactful (on Pete, which is the quest's mc so yeah).
>>
>>2406787
The interesting thing would be how the person filling the role of leader would change (Cyborg would have less time for projects or goofing around), and how the others would change the way they interact with him. (BB's relationship with Cyborg becomes even more important as he helps keep Cyborg grounded, like Starfire does Robin).

There is no perfect option for replacement leader. Robin himself was not a perfect leader. Asides from Cyborg, I think Donna, Raven, and Starfire would all be able to fill the role adequately, again with support from their teammates. Peter, Beast Boy, and Rose would probably not be great choices (though once Rose reigns in her temper, she'd make an excellent field commander).
>>
>>2406888
Pete, well, he has been pretty diplomatic, constantly works on ironing out his flaws, tries to keep himself up to date and engaging his team, doesn't make abysmal tactical decisions (strategical we can't really say, but I think we have been making him "use his head") - with one arguable exception. I'm also guessing he wasn't unimportant when it came to HIVE, if his team and Blood's attitude are anything to go by? They seemed uncoordinated, the 4 were kinda shooting at different directions so to speak.
To me, his biggest negatives are stamina (which could currently take him out from the fight), trusting nature (to an extent), and lack of experience / being new at TT.
Long term I think he'd be pretty good, anon.
>>
>>2405815
I dunno... Aside from the set up robin already put into motion with his teens with attitude clubs and offshoots, would it be on character for him or even Peter for that matter to have an I need an adult moment?
>>
>>2407028
We can just call other kids. And Captain Marvel, Billy doesn't count as an adult.
>>
>>2407040
MoG: I endorse Captain Marvel showing up. I like how Young Justice handled him.

Four individuals, each clad in HIVE armor, walking through the front entrance to the tower and slowly advancing forward. One is holding some sort of rifle, another is twirling blades, a third has some orb-shaped objects that you suspect to be explosives, and one is currently unarmed, but has more than a few weapons stashed in his belt. Though their faces are hidden, you know their identities.

Linus (formerly Simon), Marissa, Ryan, Paul. Your old friends, your old team. This is not at all a happy reunion, and you find your stomach in knots with the thought of the battle that is sure to begin shortly.

Your team is not in good shape, and even at your best, you wouldn't relish fighting your old friends and your twin sister. This day just keeps getting crappier and crappier, and you're starting to wonder if you're actually awake and not just having some long nightmare.

"Tower Security is online, right?" Troia asks Cyborg as she watches the screen.

"Yeah," Cyborg tells her, eyes glued to the screen as well.

You see a pair of turrets emerge from the wall in front of the intruding foursome. The turrets open-fire, and the team scrambles for cover behind the furniture, only for one to pop back up and destroy the defenses with two shots. The others emerge from hiding, and the team advances further into the tower, with one hurling a knife at the security camera, knocking it out.

"Alright," Raven speaks as the feed goes dead. "We need a plan."

"Do we?" Troia asks. "There are four of them and four of us, and this is our home. We have the advantage here."

"Two of you shouldn't even be fighting," Raven rebukes her. "And last time these four showed up, it didn't turn out well for us."

>A. "Let me go down there and try talking to them. Maybe they'll listen now that I understand what Blood's planning."

Oh, also, maybe we can try talking to them over the PA system? Tell them about Blood's plan, about how it was his actions that resulted in losing their friend Samuel, etc. It might at least sow some doubt in half of them before we confront them.

"What do you suggest?" you ask Raven.

"Donna's right about us having an advantage," Raven admits. "This is our home, and we know it much better than they possibly could. We can ambush them easily here, especially since you and I can use our powers to jump to other locations. I say we use hit-and-run tactics to take them down."

"I don't enjoy such tactics," Troia tells her. "Fleeing and attacking an enemy who can't see us to defend themselves is dishonorable."

"So is letting these punks overrun our tower," Cyborg tells her, turning away from the screen. "Forget being honorable, Donna. This is us or them, and I don't plan on letting Blood's flunkies take me down. I'd love to fight them head-on, but I think Rae's right. We're not in the best shape right now, so we need to fight smart instead of hard."

Troia sighs, crossing her arms. "I didn't say I wouldn't do it, just that I don't like it. Amazons understand necessity just fine."

>A. "Alright then, we have a plan."

"Hold on, is there a way for me to try talking to them over the intercom?" you ask the others.

The looks they give you in response are hardly surprising, and you honestly don't know if you'll be able to accomplish anything by speaking with your former team. Still, you want to stop this fight before it stops, and maybe help them get away from what Blood's doing. It's worth a try, and maybe it'll at least give the others a chance to set up an ambush.

"Yeah, we can put you on the intercom if you want," Cyborg tells you, though he doesn't sound enthused with the idea.

Cyborg gestures to a built-in microphone on the computer console, and makes room for you to sit down. A button beside the mic activates the intercom, and you press it, calling out to the team and quickly hearing their voices respond.

"Sam?" a girl's voice asks. Marissa, obviously.

"Where are you?" Paul's voice comes after. "Still hiding from us? You're running out of places to run, Sammy boy. Why don't you come out and fight like a man? I promise we'll only hurt you a little before Blood hurts you a lot."

"That's enough, Paul!" you hear Linus shout at him.

"What do you want, Peter?" you hear Ryan ask. "Say what you need to say."

>A. "I'm asking you guys not to work for Blood. Whatever he's told you, he's the reason I'm not part of the HIVE anymore. He took Sam from you, and he's going to take a lot more. He's planning to summon Trigon!"

I'm having ideas.

Remember that H&A plan?
>>
>>2407693
I feel like C and D don't jive with A. It can be read by them as cynically manipulating their feelings for Sam, who in A we reassert has been taken from them. We've also in the past made a delineation between Samuel and Peter, even if its not a clean line and Peter can still wrestle with it.
>>
>>2407702
Here's how it goes:
1) Plan hit & runs like Raven said, lure them deeper into the tower and try to pick them off / separate them, and maybe neutralize some of their gear

2) Once we're ready, give them a high profile target (Pete for instance) and use that to lure them into the Anvil - place said Anvil in a place where both teams will be forced into some full frontal combat - like a narrow corridor

3) Hammer hits from the other end. It'd be a good idea if said corridor allowed both of OUR teams a retreat route to a larger area. Maybe the lounge-rooms area could fit the bill?
>>
>>2407722
This is a good plan. I don't think we'll actually be able to talk them out of this attack, just weaken the resolve of Marissa and Linus.
>>
>>2407736
If those two feel conflicted, and the other two act like the other time (brash, looking for a fight, tryna tussle with the muscle) then it'll be easy to break them off & lure 'em.
>>
>>2407663
"I'm asking you guys not to work for Blood," you state when prompted. "Whatever he's told you, he's the reason I'm not part of the HIVE anymore. He took Sam from you, and he's going to take a lot more. He's planning to summon Trigon!"

You can hear Paul burst into uproarious laughter as you finish speaking, telling you that he was absolutely not swayed by that in the slightest. The others say nothing right away, but Paul speaks up.

"That has got to be the most stupid thing I've heard you say!" he declares. "I thought you were being a chicken, but this is ridiculous! Don't blame Blood because you ran like a coward! And don't make up stupid stories like him planning to summon Trigon."

"Sorry, Peter," you hear Ryan's voice. "But I won't abandon the HIVE, or Blood. I have my orders, and I'm going to follow them. I don't want to fight you, so I hope you'll make the smart choice and surrender, but I'll do what I have to do."

"Sam," you hear Marissa speak up. "What are you talking about? Why would Blood make you leave the HIVE? And why would he ever want to summon Trigon? Even he wouldn't be able to control something like that!"

"That's be a good point if Blood's ego wasn't the size of this tower," you hear Cyborg grumble behind you.

"Are you trying to say that's why you ran?" you hear Linus speak. "Because you found out Blood was planning to summon Trigon?"

>A. "Yes. And after that accident, Blood tried to bury the memories that made me leave, but wound up burying all of them. That's why I couldn't remember anything."

>B. "Look, believe what you want. I've said what I needed to say, and it's up to you whether or not to accept it as the truth. If you still want a fight, you'll see me soon."

>>C. "Paul, you think I'm a coward? I guess I should remind you exactly why you should be afraid of me."

>>D. "Ryan, you don't have to follow Blood's orders. I don't want to fight you, either, but I'll do what I have to do."

"Yes," you answer. "And after that accident, Blood tried to bury the memories that made me leave, but wound up burying all of them,. That's what I couldn't remember anything before."

"He's full of it!" you hear Paul declare.

"Linus, you were my best friend," you say, ignoring Paul. "You should know me well enough to know I'm telling the truth."

Things go silent for a few seconds, and you wonder if they've just decided to stop talking and move on. But, after a short bit of silence, Linus responds.

"I knew Sam well enough to tell when he was telling the truth," he says to you. "But I don't know Peter. You'd better get ready for us."

That seems to be the end of the conversation. It looks like all that accomplished was wasting time, but perhaps it at least gave the others some time to plan things out. Getting up and turning around, you find Donna looking at you with sympathy, while Raven and Cyborg seem stone-faced and ready for battle.

"Alright," you answer her. "I'll do it."

Donna smiles. "Thank you, Peter. Let's get into position."

The four of you move through the tower, identifying a hallway that you think will suit your purposes well. Donna and Cyborg place themselves at one end of it, with Cyborg having his Sonic Cannon ready, and Donna drawing her silver lasso. Raven seems to fade into one of the walls, and you take a breath before stepping out into the open.

There you see them; Linus, Marissa, Paul, and Ryan, walking in your direction, and spotting you right away. Linus raises a hand, and the others come to a stop, though Marissa seems quite antsy.

"Ryan, Paul, take him," Linus instructs, his voice calm yet commanding.

"Gladly," Paul responds, stepping forward and readying some of his orbs.

Ryan steps forward as well, cracking his knuckles as he starts toward you. The big guy clearly intends to do this up-close and personal, and you are glad that you don't intend to stand and fight them alone. You get ready to start your retreat, but before that happens, you hear the sound of a blaster being fired, and Paul falls forward, face-planting on the ground in front of you.

Ryan spins around in shock to find Linus pointing a blaster at his face.

"Linus, what do you think you're doing?" the big man demands.

"Ryan, stand down," Linus responds. "I'll enjoy shooting you a lot less than I enjoyed shooting Paul."

"Think about what you're doing," Ryan warns him. "This is treason, and when Brother Blood finds out-"

"You don't need to tell me what Blood will do," Linus interrupts. "I know. But right now, I want you to stand down."

"You know I can't do that," Ryan tells him.

"I know," Linus replies, pulling the trigger.

A blaster shot strikes Ryan right in the face, knocking him onto his back right in front of you. To your surprise, that doesn't knock him unconscious. Instead, Ryan begins picking himself back up, looking at Linus.

"Are Marissa and I the only two people on this team that aren't traitors or psychopaths?" the big guy asks as he manages to stand back up, and Marissa comes to stand beside him.

"No," your sister assures him before jumping and bringing her elbow down onto the back of his neck. "Just you."

Ryan falls forward, and this time, doesn't get back up.

"I didn't think you'd listen," you tell the two that are still standing. "Thank you."

"Like you said, I know when you're telling the truth," Linus tells you, lowering his blaster. "And I don't want anything to do with bringing Trigon here."

"And I'm still not sure I believe all of that," Marissa admits, stepping over Ryan and onto Paul's back before moving further away from you. "But I do know the kind of stuff Blood wants to do to you, and I wouldn't even wish that on the Teen Titans, much less my brother. Besides, I don't think Simon here would have found the guts to do that on his own."

"Hey!" Linus protests.

Well, they seem sincere. So, this probably isn't a trap. There's nothing to fear at this point, aside from your friends attacking them by mistake.

"Hey guys?!" you shout over your shoulder. "We're good, you can come out!"

Raven emerges from the walls a moment later, and your other two friends emerge from the hallway just after that, tensing when they see Linus and Marissa still standing.

"It's alright," Raven assures them.

Linus and Marissa look at the three Titans, their expressions obviously unreadable under their helmets, though you can imagine they're not exactly grinning right now.

Marissa shakes her head. "You're lucky you talked to us first, Sam. If we hadn't taken out Ryan and Paul, Blood's plan would have gone off without a hitch. This is all that's left of your team?"

"It's more than enough," Cyborg promises her, his tone not-exactly friendly.

"Right," your sister snorts. "After the beating Bane gave you all, you wouldn't have lasted long."

"Let's drop that line of discussion," Linus suggests. "Anyway, you can keep Paul to interrogate or put in prison or whatever, but I'm going to leave Ryan somewhere the HIVE can collect him."

"Why?" Marissa asks, looking at him over her shoulder.

"Because I don't hate his guts, and I know Blood won't just abandon the one person on our team he knows is loyal," Linus tells her.

"That's not happening," Raven tells the two of them. "All of you have some explaining to do."

"Get that info from Paul," Linus tells her, raising his blaster. "We're not sticking around to get thrown in jail."

>A. "Sorry guys, but we have a lot of questions for you."

Before a fight can break out, you put yourself between the Titans and the former HIVE members. This situation could be critical in shaping the eventual battle with Blood, for better or for worse.

"I know trust is hard to come by right now," you tell them. "But let's call a truce, just for the moment. There's a lot we should talk about."

"Peter, they're part of the HIVE!" Cyborg angrily reminds you.

"You do remember that both Peter and Jinx were members of the HIVE at one point, right?" Donna asks him. "And they did just save us a lot of trouble by taking down those other two. I say we should talk like reasonable people."

Raven shrugs. "We'll probably learn more talking openly than interrogating."

"Oh, but why waste time with interrogations?" an unfamiliar voice questions from the shadows. "It's so much easier to just rip the information from a person's mind."

Linus spins around, putting up a barrier that is shattered by a pink beam of light, throwing him to the ground. Marissa places herself between Linus and the attacker, hurling a knife into the darkness.

"You..." Raven growls, staring into the dark.

"Me," the voice answers just before another beam of light shoots in the group's direction.

Marissa is able to move out of the way, and Raven uses her magic to create a barrier that successfully stops the attack, scowling as she lowers it and prepares for a battle. Her hands are covered by a dark glow as she readies any number of spells to unleash.

"What are you doing here?!" Marissa demands. "This was supposed to be our-"

"I lacked Blood's confidence in you children," the voice cuts her off. "And rightly so, it seems. He really should have learned the value of getting one's own hands dirty by now."

The speaker steps into view; a pale, thin old man in black and purple, with a large dome on top of his head, inside of which appears to be a black brain with glowing pink lines and dots covering it. His eyes are mostly black, with small pink dots shining in the middle of them.

"Psimon..." Raven addresses the man bitterly.

Yes, that is among the worst case scenarios. I hope it doesn't come to that, but I would understand if MoG does it. If Psimon dies, I think Peter (and the others) will be appropriately horrified. Though as you suggest, Psimon is also a psychic, so this could fail or be reversed on us, and they're down one more combatant.

I intended the choice to be high risk/high reward. Peter still doesn't have a lot left in the tank, so end it in one stroke, because our contribution will probably be minimal otherwise.

Who knows, maybe MoG lets us get away with this one and Psimon is just insta-KOed and just badly hurt.
>>
>>2408516
>we crush his brain and spray noggin juice on everyone
In a year from now we'll all laugh about that.
>>
>>2408374
There's enough energy left in you for one good shot. If you make it count, you can end this fight right here, right now. Looking at the figure before you, you let your anger simmer, allowing less-than-righteous fury to flow through you as you strike, using psychic force in an effort to crush Psimon into nothing.

It seems to work, as Psimon implodes in on himself and disappears altogether, smirk never leaving his face, and no noise coming from him as he's crushed into nothing. Maybe it was over too quickly for him, or perhaps he knows how to recover from such extreme injuries.

Laughter surrounds you, and Psimon reappears right where he was. Then, another appears beside him, and another, and another, and another, until you and the others are trapped within a circle of Psimons.

"Little Samuel," he addresses you, voice coming from everywhere. "You can't honestly believe that your psychic abilities could possibly compare to mine. Blood may have rewired your mind to give you great potential, but I have far more experience than you. And, my power comes from a much greater source."

A loud cracking comes from above, and you look up to see the ceiling crack and crumble, falling in chunks down upon you and the others, stopped only by Raven's magic, which she then uses to hurl the chunks at the circle of Psimons, taking them out one by one until only a pair remain.

Cyborg fires off his Sonic Cannon, but a pink barrier appears before the two Psimons, stopping the attack dead before it gets the chance to hit its target. Laughing, the men drop their barrier, bring their hands to their heads, and fire pink beams of light. The two beams join together, growing into a single, large projectile that flies right at Cyborg.

Troia leaps in front of Cyborg, deflecting the beam with her wristbands, causing it to put a massive hole in the wall. Marissa hurls a pair of daggers at the two Psimons, only for them to pass through both and reveal a third smirking Psimon behind the two.

"This should be amusing," he remarks, holding a hand toward Marissa, who lets out a shriek as her body begins to convulse.

Linus, back on his feet, fires his blaster at Psimon, who stops it with a barrier as he continues to torment your sister.

You didn't use much energy in that failed attempt, as his illusion vanished before you could expend much of it. You still have a chance.

>A. Teleport behind Psimon and attack!

I feel like if we teleport to him Peter might be able to get in at most one or two shots before Psimon just teleports away again. And he can also seemingly slip out of any attempt to hold him and his barrier has held against Linus's blaster and Cy's cannon so a theoretically unblockable psychic strike might be our best chance of doing some damage.

what if he has barriers moulded to the shape and form of his body
>>
>>2408546
That barrier can't stop psychic attacks. A few Psychic Strikes should throw this old jerk right off of his game.

Letting righteous fury enter your mind, you throw a Psychic Strike, aiming it past Psimon's barrier, and squarely at the old punk's head. You feel the attack make contact-and cry out in sudden pain as it feels like your mind just crashed into a brick wall. Reaching up, you grab your head and try to shake away the pain, hearing Psimon's laughter in your head as you do so.

"Did you really think I'd leave myself unprepared for something that simple?" he questions. "Come now, Samuel, I am well aware of the abilities Blood's work gave to you, and I am quite prepared."

"Azerath, Metrion, ZINTHOS!" Raven shouts, ripping up the ground beneath Psimon's feet and successfully knocking him off-balance.

Troia rushes in, throwing a punch that manages to shatter Psimon's barrier in his temporary state of disorientation, and knocking him to the ground. This causes him to lose more focus, and his hold on Marissa is released.

Cyborg fires his Sonic Cannon, breaking the barrier Psimon is beginning to create, and knocking him flat onto his back. Linus fires with his blaster, but Psimon sinks into the floor, vanishing from sight. You swear you can see what looks like a portal close after a second, but what it connects to, you do not know.

"Where has he gone?" Troia asks, looking to Raven.

"He can open portals to other dimensions," the sorceress answers. "He used one to escape, and could reappear anywhere."

"Your medical wing," Linus suggests. "That's where we planned to go."

Raven gets a rather frightening look on her face, and vanishes from sight, most likely moving to the medical wing to protect the injured members of your team.

"Split up and search the tower," Cyborg instructs. "If you see the old freak, call on the communicators!"

"What about us?" Marissa asks.

"Make a loud boom!" Cyborg replies, getting ready to turn and run.

"Sounds like a good idea to me," Linus tells you.

"There does seem to be little point or hope in splitting up," Troia agrees.

Grabbing a blaster from Ryan, and finding some of the electric grenades used by Paul, you rush toward the medical center, preparing to fight for your friends.

From my perspective, Lady Shiva's appeal is that she's the best martial artist in DC (except maybe Karate Kid, but he's from the future) and that's it. She's interested in refining her craft, and good and evil don't enter the equation.

In particular I like how she'll sometimes attach herself to people she sees as having potential, teach them something and then move on returning later to see what they've done with the gift she's given them (and maybe to fight them to the death. Kind of depends on her mood).

I personally like the idea of a scene where she notes the potential of KC's fighting style, and maybe imparts some knowledge, perhaps letting thoughts of how it could be developed percolate despite her being incapable of ever using it herself.

She could also attach herself to a villain and train them up, reestablishing them as a legitimate threat, or taking an already legitimate threat into something outright terrifying. All they need is enough potential to make Shiva interested. Or enough potential to make for a deadly test for someone she finds even more interesting.

I get if she's not your thing though.

>Lady Shiva get's Control Freak to exersize, eat right, and teach him some martial arts. He then spars with TV martial artists to improve, all the way up to Bruce Lee.

God damn I want this to happen.

I was referring to Cassandra Cain, actually

Oh. She's cute and deserves to have her smile protected.

She's a less volatile Rose, basically.

Welp, time to add Shiva to the chart.

As keeper of the peterbowl chart, I'm going to say: 'not until she actually shows up'. But when she does, gladly.

Alas, anons, perhaps another quest. Right now the only adult female we've met who isn't our mom is Lady Vic, and we're not rich enough for that route.

That, and, you know, good chemistry with the Titans girls.
>>
>>2410996
You might be able to if you could convince her that you could help save her estate.
>>
>>2411010
"Lady Vic, have you given any thought into building your brand (tm)? Let me tell you about the Kardashians..."
>>
>>2411020
Peter's got some crazy psychic powers, he could probably make a killing in Las Vegas or Hollywood and use a lot of that to support her estate.

Villains:
Punk Rocket to get Peter riled up by insulting his taste in music.
Gentleman Ghost because ghosts are scary.
Ding Dong Daddy for an excuse to race.
Riddler as long as everyone isn't sick of Bat-villains.
I think the DCAU version of Toyman could be fun. I'm not really a fan of him being a super fucking edgy child-murderer in the comics though.
I shouldn't admit it, but I was kind of glad Control Freak was one of the villains that escaped from prison.

Heroes:
The Green Lanterns are my favorite DC heroes but I like them a lot more when they're doing space stuff instead of Earth stuff so I'm not really dying to see Lanterns in this quest, but if they do pop up that's cool.
I guess the adult hero I'm most interested in is Wonder Woman but I freely admit that's just me being a Donnafag and hoping it results in a storyline where my preferred waifu gets lots of attention.
I do agree with some of the other posters that Captain Marvel could be a fun guest star.
On the other hand, I'm enjoying everyone on the main cast (I'm counting Rose even though she's not officially our teammate) so much that I'd honestly be fine if guest heroes are rare. The main cast is also so strong already that there's not really any young hero I can think of that I'd really want to join the team, but maybe I just need to think harder.

Other:
I was going to wait until after the current fight with Psimon was over, but I guess while I'm giving feedback I'll add that I'm glad that Peter was finally able to fight alongside Marissa and Linus instead of against them.

I'm glad to hear you enjoy the current cast

I'm glad to hear that as well

MoG, I'd like to echo that Anon's sentiments, vis-a-vis the core cast. I very much enjoy them and so while branching out and seeing more of the DC universe is fun, I'd prefer it to be an occasional treat more than anything else.

Controversial statement: I like Rose, but I wouldn't want her to join the Titans in the immediate future. I like her personal arc and the degree of distance she has with the Titans. If she were a full member her issues would risk either feeling oppressive, or to avoid that, risk being trivialized by being solved too fast. Even in this quest, where things move fast, we've only really interacted with Rose in two spars, one arcade night, one interrogation scene and one fairwell, most of which occurred within one 24 hour period.

"Well, my sister and former best friend stopped trying to kill me; but that's after my friends got their asses beat by a brawny luchador, and I made my mom really sad. And one of my close friends also got into a fight with our group...
On the plus side, I'm no longer hearing my evil boss' voice in my head.
5/10"
