/qst/ - Quests

You're tired.
Really tired.
But you're awake now.
You can feel a smooth, cold surface beneath you, and something like a cover draped over your body. You open your eyes and a blinding light comes flooding in. After it clears you see that you're in a white, tiled room. It reminds you of a doctor's office, but you don't see any of the filing cabinets or such that you normally see there. You do see the medical stuff though. You currently have some tubes transfusing blood into your body. You're tired. You...

You slowly lift yourself up and pull the cover over you back to get a look at your wound. It seems like there isn't any blood left on you, and the area is covered with a bandage. It still hurts, but nowhere near as much as when you were shot. You...

You check your pockets and find your harmonica, a crumpled 10,000 yen bill that you weren't keeping in your wallet, and your zippo. The rest of it must be kept somewhere else. Anyways, you're tired. Time to sleep.
You wake up after what feels like a long time and look around. The room looks exactly the same as before, and it doesn't have any windows, so you're not sure how long as passed. The IV seems to still be tubed into you, but you're no longer recieving blood. You check your wound more thoroughly and notice that there is in fact an exit wound that's also bandaged up. Your bandages seem to have been changed since you were last awake. You...

You take your IV, stumbling to the door, and try to open it. It's unlocked and opens easily, and you look outside to see a rather nondescript hallway with a lot of doors. There's an elevator at the end of the hall.
As you exit your room you hear a guy go "Oh, hold up for a sec. If you're feeling better we should go see the boss. You really did a number on Goto and Ikura, so it's probably about that." you turn your head and see a man, probably in his early 20s, dressed in slacks and a t-shirt for some band. He's currently putting out a cigarette that he was smoking. You...

I forgot to include "Follow him." in last post's options. Remember, OP is dumb.

You follow the man to the elevator and see him punch a short code into a console next to the buttons for the floors. He then presses the button for the highest floor, 8, and after a short wait the elevator doors open.
A short hallway stretches in front of you, with only one (admittedly very nice looking) door at the end. You follow the man and he knocks on the door, saying "the girl is awake". You then hear a familiar voice say "Is that so? Send her in." from the other side.
The door opens and you see the man from Central who tried to recruit you several times sitting behind a desk. He gestures for you to take a seat and a fancy-looking leather chair and says "Buki-chan, you really stirred up some trouble this time. All we do is burn a place down and you come at two of our leaders with a katana. So, I have a proposition. You lend me and one other guy your powers for, let's say a year, and we forget about this. Goto was a little shit anyways, and Ikura will be fine, although he'll probably have a pretty badass scar. Deal?" You...

You nervously ask Oda whether anyone was inside of the North's headquarters when it was burnt down. Oda seems surprised and says "No, no, that'd be ridiculous. We're here to root out the gangs and get rid of their influence, not commit a genocide. That'd be excessive. If there was anyone inside we would've beaten them up and taken them outside first, but nobody was even there in the first place."
Relieved, you ask where your stuff is. Oda then says "Ah, I have that right here. I got your katana cleaned, it turns out that Goto's innards don't look pretty on a sword. So, what's your opinion on my offer?"

After that he'll have to retire to some non-combat position. Right now he's not really conscious, it'll be months before he's really recovered. The kid was a bit of a shit, but I did see enough potential in him to give him a good position. Shame what happened to him." You...

Well, all things considered you're getting off lightly. You may as well just accept the deal. You accept and Oda smiles for a moment before saying "Alright, I'll call the other one you're supposed to be lending the ability out to once you've figured it out. It'll probably take a few hours to get down, it took my a while to self-teach." Oda then proceeds to lecture you for a bit on how to lend out your powers, and once you're close to figuring it out he gives you a schedule on when to come by. Apparently when you lend out your power it'll only stay 'lent' for a week, so you'll need to stop by for about 5 minutes every Saturday.
A few tries later and you vaguely feel that your power is slightly weaker, and you see that Oda has an excited look on his face. After about five minutes of awkward silence, you see a small, inches long arm slither out from his hand. Oda loudly exclaims "So that's your ability! Once I get some practice in with this I'll be so much stronger. Give me a sec, I'll call in my bodyguard. That's the other person you're lending it to."
A few minutes later a very well-built woman in a red suit enters the room. You lend the ability to her and she seems to be able to make the same sort of tiny arm appear after maybe 9 minutes.
Oda turns towards you and says "You keep your end of the deal and we'll be on decent terms. Thank Kurosaki and Endo for telling me not yo use force." Having finished your deal, you see that the date on your phone is the 11th, and it appears to be midday. You...

You make your way back home and find that it's mostly empty. Mark is at school and both of your parents seem to be working today. You open the door to Fukuda's room and see her staring at a pistol. She seems happy to see you and puts the gun down before jumping up and saying "Where the fuck were you?! I was worried. Are you alright?" and making her way over to you. You...

You hug Fukuda as hard as you can and explain what happened to you and why you were gone. She spends a couple minutes repeatedly asking if you're alright and examines your bandaged wound a couple of times. Eventually you hear her sigh and say "You should be alright as long as your bandages are changed often enough, but fucking hell. Don't do anything like that again." Various remarks like this are repeated as she switches modes to chewing you out.
After a while she seems out of things to say and just says "Anyways, I can help you think up some excuse for why you were gone, but you probably shouldn't tell mom and dad that you got shot by the yakuza after trying to murder two of them with a katana. I don't think that's going to end well for anyone. They are pretty liberal with what we can do, but considering that you're only seven..."
Fukuda pauses for a moment before following up with "Plus, I feel like dad is dumb enough to try to pick a fight with them and I want to prevent that." You...

I feel like having a hole in our torso is something our parental figures should know about.
But then again, a JSDF-Yakuza war is the last thing we need right now.

Maybe we should keep it a secret. For now at least.

>>3068879
You agree with Fukuda and make up an excuse to tell your parents later. You make up something about getting lost in the woods, it's not like it hasn't happened before. After that Fukuda hands you a wrapped present and says "It's a bit late, but here, I got you a birthday present."
You open the present and find brass knuckles inside. Fukuda seems to very enthusiastic about giving this to you, and you guess you can find a use for it. You thank Fukuda and then head back to your room for a short nap since you're still sorta tired.
After you wake up dinner is ready and you give your excuse to your parents. You're chewed out a bit, but now that they know you're alright they seem fine. Apparently dad had been considering getting together some of his special ops buddies to look for you. For desert you get a slice of your still untouched birthday cake. You also get presents from Mark and your parents. Your parents give you a TV for your room, which actually rounds out the decor pretty nicely. Mark gives you a drawing of yourself with some of the characters from Dragon Ball and the first 16 volumes of the series. Man, that's a pretty cool drawing. You get all of this stuff sorted in your room and feel really happy despite everything that's happened lately.
You wake up the next morning and head to Kurosaki's, both for practice and to thank him for the help. As you walk up to him you notice that he has a very somber look on his face. He doesn't really notice you either. You get his attention and thank him before he says hi to you. He seems out of it. Kurosaki examines your wound and tells you to come over twice a week so that he can change the bandages, but tells you that practice will be canceled for a while due to the wound. You...

You practice independent movement with your arms for the night and then head to bed. The next morning you walk to school in a mild drizzle.
When you get to school you notice that people seem to be... avoiding you? Before you can really get to the bottom of this class starts and you sit through a very strongly worded warning about avoiding gangs. Alright then. You guess the school has noticed all of the wanton gang violence.
After talking with Nakano and a few of the Morales Committee members, you get to the bottom of what happened while you were gone. Apparently your absence gave the Class Kings a chance to strike back, aided by those who used to be popular. They called in a few people to literally threaten elementary schoolers, spread waves of rumors, and did various other unethical things to restore their popularity and throw you into exile. You spend some time trying to talk with people, but it seems far less effective than usual. What the hell did they do while you were gone? You...

You have the Morales Committee gather dirt on them which... isn't particularly hard. You tell them to do this and they list off quite a bit without even 'digging around' like you expected. You're both surprised and appalled at this. As if to answer your confusion Nakano clarifies that the current situation is more of a 'reign of terror' than anything. The majority of the grade KNOWS that the two are jerks, they're just going along with it because if they don't everyone else will turn on them. You...

Then
Decide that in this circumstance a public beating is in order, nobody likes them anyways.
We can challenge them to duel. They deserve a beating, but we should still make it look less barbaric than it's going to be when they get pummeled by a girl. Also, it'll make them look even worse if they come after us first.
>>
>>3069769
You list off a formal list of their misdeeds in front of the majority of your grade during recess, creating an odd silence. This is broken by the voices of their supporters, and then others arguing with them. You take advantage of this chance and challenge the two "Class Kings" to a duel.
One of them quickly accepts, and about 30 seconds later he's lying on the ground in extreme pain. It seems like the shackles of fear over the rest of the grade are beginning to lift now that you've beaten one of them. Around this time the other Class King says he's feeling a bit sick and needs to head home for the day. Alright then.
The school day ends without any more drama, and the grade seems to be freed from the terror it was under. Hm, maybe a good beating solves everything. After school you...

After that you head home for the night since the rain has picked up since this morning. You check the whether and see that rain is predicted for the entire week. Fun. There's also some commentary about the local violence and the forest being closed for hunting and hiking due to accidents. Hm, you wonder who Kurosaki contacted for that to happen.
In the morning you head to school in yet another set of dreary weather. On your way to school you see the class king who ran away from you yesterday, armed with a baseball bat and with two teenagers standing behind him.
You recognize one of them to be the person you scared away on your walk to school before. The 'Class King' then begins monologuing about how you'll be beaten up and they'll take control over the grade. The guy who you scared off before appears to be slowly backing away after seeing you. You ask them if you can just skip all of this and get a very haughty and drawn-out no while the teenager from before begins moving away even faster. You...

About a minute passes, and it seems like they've learned their lesson. The 'Class King' is now lying on the ground in a puddle, and their face probably won't look right for a few weeks. You make your way to class and see that the 'Class King' you beat up yesterday isn't here either. Hm, well, you guess it worked.

You ask Nakano why exactly they're so happy and she tells her that her parents marriage officially got voided and her mom is going back to her hometown to find work so she gets to stay with her dad. Oh. Well, at least somebody is happy about the divorce. Her parents probably aren't.

You walk into Fukuda's room and see her lying on her bed reading some book when she walks in. She gestures you in and then says "So, you wanted to know about the gang war? Uh, after that raid on the warehouse that went bad they started going on the offensive and burning down our bases to get rid of us. They didn't burn down the Norths' base for some reason, but less of them are meeting up there now that Murata is injured anyways. While they were doing this we ambushed some of their transports and snuck into a few of their smaller storage areas. We managed to get some guns out of it and some information, and we're prepping for a last stand right now. Either Central gets driven out of the area or the gangs basically dissolve. Those are the only ways this is going to end." You...

You tell her that she should avoid fighting at this point because of the danger and ask about what the point of all this is and her future and so on. and She stares at you in confusion before laughing. She then pats you on the head and says "I'm not dumb, of course I'm not gonna die or anything. I think only four or five people died, and they were idiots! I'm not an idiot, so I won't die. As for the future... I dunno, I could become an MMA fighter. Or join the yakuza. Something cool like that. You worry too much."
It doesn't seem like she can recognize the danger inherent in this, but hopefully she'll be more careful. You look outside and it's pouring. You spend the rest of the night...

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. But I have the feeling that she might get too confident if we give her powers.
Also we don't want to become too weak ourselves, and if we gave Fukuda powers, she might start thinking it's a given that we'll always be there to help her and start going out more often.
We should save that for when she's on a really dangerous situation (read as "getting shot by the yakuza").

You look at the man seriously and lay down the important question: How much is it for every hat you have in stock? The man looks at you, thinking, and begins talking about his journey to collect all of the hats. Sadly this wasn't profitable enough, so he opened up a pawnshop. He leads you to a well-hidden door behind piles of useless things, and into a back room. It's mostly clean, and has a few shelves with all sorts of interesting things on them.
You see some weird electronics you don't recognize, one of those black ninja outfits, a katana that looks similar to the one you already own, a set of medieval armor, a crossbow, and various other odd, likely illegal, things. You ask about the weird electronics and the owner says "Oh, well, let me walk you through them. These little ones over here are bugs which you can pick up through this receiver." He then shows you a pile of tiny electronics and a 'receiver' which looks like a small computer monitor or TV.
"There's a set of 10 microphones and 10 cameras here, and you can switch between displays or watch up to 5 at once with splitscreen on this thing. Besides that, this is a tiny remote-controlled vehicle with a wireless speaker, camera, and one-way microphone attached to it. You can drive it somewhere, set it off, and then play some pretty loud noises with it to attract attention. You can see what happens to it with the camera and mic. Uh, there's also a karaoke machine back there where you might not be able to see it, but I assume you know what that is." You, in fact, didn't see the karaoke machine. Well then.
You ask about the katana after that and he says "Ah, that one. That's a katana that one of my friends made, a blacksmith. He works professionally in some other field now since it turns out blacksmithing doesn't make much. He still keeps it up as a hobby though. I got it... what, eight years ago? He was churning out a lot of stuff around that time and gave one to me. I should call him up now that I mention it, haven't talked to him in maybe a year."
You say that you want to buy the ninja outfit and he says "Alright, 128,000 yen, I'll pack it up for you. It's made specifically for urban night camouflage and is flexible enough to move around in unhampered. It also has something similar to 'climbing shoes' on the bottom that can help you scale walls. Here are some earplugs, and we're going to be spending a couple of hours on a thing called 'gun safety'. After that you don't know me and I don't know you. You aren't licensed to have a pistol, as almost no one is in this country. Keep it hidden and neither of us gets into trouble. Alright?" you nod and then tell Nakano goodbye for the day and say there's something you need to do.
The next several hours are spent with the shop's owner showing you how not to blow your finger off and proper gun safety. It seems odd that he'd care about safety when he's selling it to a seven year-old, but money is money you guess, and it brings less attention to himself if you don't shoot yourself with the thing by accident. After he's done showing you how to use it he shows you out a back door and you head home for dinner.
During dinner Mark announces that he's going to aim for Tokyo University for college and so he'll be spending a lot of time studying for once. Your parents and Fukuda are happy for him, but confused why he decided to aim for a better school when the college examinations are only about four months away. He just shrugs his shoulders and says "I was aiming to get into a good school anyways, but wanted more spare time drawing so I didn't want to go there specifically. A magazine in Tokyo contacted me after last Comiket though and said they think my style would fit well in their magazine. It's far more convenient to work if I live in the same city as the magazine, so I'm going to university in Tokyo. That's the only real reason." At this news congratulations from yourself and the rest of the family abound, and you see Mark head back to his room immediately after dinner to study. You have a feeling that he'll be doing it a lot.
After dinner you make your way to the library and see Kurosaki writing something. Upon seeing you he puts whatever he was writing away and says "Ah, there you are. You ask what exactly the training is for and Kurosaki says "Well, we don't have much time so it's nothing major. I'll just be trying to make it so that I can basically store a few strands of chi inside your body that you can use just in case of an emergency. The strands will dissipate in about a year's time, and you won't be able to use most of the strength contained within it since you haven't accessed chi yourself, but they will make good weapons in case of emergencies. Well, let's get to training."
You follow Kurosaki and he leads you into the basement before you see him trace out a complex pattern on the wall with his fingers. While you're wondering whether he's gone insane you see part of the wall slide down, revealing a staircase. As you stare at the staircase in confusion Kurosaki says "This is where I live, those damn government lackies can't find my secret base. I got somebody to do this in exchange for a few things, it's a pretty nice place. I may have also used a little bit of the money for new books to finish up the place, but in exchange I drew a few picture books myself." You can only wonder how confused the children were when they read whatever picture books he made. You'll have to go looking for those later.
You walk down the staircase and find yourself in what appears to be in a sort of lounge with walls made of stone bricks. There's a few chairs, a tea set, a nice carpet on the floor, and a TV mounted on the wall. There are several wooden doors. Kurosaki leads you through one, down a hallway, and then through another door.
You see a rather bare room with some incense lit in it, among a few other weird baubles. Kurosaki just says "Don't touch those things, and here, take this-" before he hands you a weird, old-looking stick, and then a headband, and then an entire outfit. He then says "Go into that room, put that on, and hold the magical stick. That has about 100 times the normal level of what I guess people might call 'energy' that the world normally has and which can be converted to chi normally. Those things should help you sense it. I'll be back in 8 hours, good luck."

God, that was boring. Good thing you're done already. You wait a minute in anticipation of being freed from this room. Then you realize he probably isn't coming back for five more hours.
....
....
...you guess five more hours of training wouldn't hurt.
Five hours of training later, you're a bit tired and rather bored. You then hear an alarm go off before the door unlocks about 30 seconds later. Kurosaki's there and says "So, you do it?" As he says this, you notice that there's an energy far stronger than what's in the room coming from him. It feels almost oppressive. You point this out and he says "Ohohoho, good job, you did it. Well then, get some food and sleep for a bit, we'll get to training after that. Ah, and change back into your clothes and give me my magical stick back." You then notice the aura from him disappear. Once you leave the room you can't really sense anything either.

Kurosaki doesn't say anything for a moment before he says "...Well, there's nothing magical about it, but it has lots of nutrients. I mean, there is food like that, but it probably wouldn't benefit you. Also, as a side note, every time I'm saying 'magical' it basically mean it uses chi or spirits or SOMETHING in some way to do something special, but I'm too lazy to actually figure out how it works. A lot of stuff I just get, figure out what it does, and leave it at that because who cares how it does it. I don't want you think wizards exist, that'd be silly."
After you finish the bitter, thick soup you head to bed for a while. You're then woken up again and Kurosaki says "Good morning. Or, er, afternoon. Anyways, it's time for another day of training. I'm gonna keep injecting small strands of chi into you, and then you're going to keep trying to store them in your body. Just imagine trying to make them slow down and come to a stop. Sorta like they're being stopped by a mountain. This'll take a while, but you should get it down. Hopefully it helps once you get access to chi in the future as well."

Kurosaki puts his hand on the center of your chest before saying "Alright, I'm gonna start now." You then feel a jolt of energy enter your body (significantly smaller than anything else you've sensed so far, but you guess you can sense it specifically because it's inside you) and begin moving around, sorta like blood pumping. You envision the current of your bloodstream slowing it down and it fighting against drag, fighting against a giant mountain that it's trying to drill through. It seems to slow down and eventually stops right before you feel it about to exit your body.
After a moment Kurosaki says "Alright, I'll send the next one now, you'll get it eventually." before you reply "Uh, I stopped it." he then confusedly says "You stopped it?" before he pauses for a moment and goes, more loudly now, "Oh, you stopped it! I was trying to figure out what size was small enough on that one, so I figured it may have been too big, but looks like you were able to handle it. Either way I figured that it'd take a few hours at least. Alright then, step two cleared I guess. Since you're able to handle this size you should be able to handle more energy than I was expecting, increasing the power of this 'trump card'. Well, assuming you can use it properly."
Kurosaki then says "Well, I guess we can move onto the next step immediately then. We'll see how many you can contain at the same time without letting them explode out. We could theoretically decrease the size of the strands but increase the number, but that would run the risk of not being useful with how inefficiently you'll use them. You might not even be able to sense them at that point anyways. We'll just stick with the size that you stopped." You then see Kurosaki press his hand onto your chest again and inject in another jolt of energy. It seems to travel through your body before you stop it, but then you feel both strands escape your body, as if your will isn't enough to handle them both. After you're done eating Kurosaki says "Well, since you finished trying to contain a single strand within your body on your first try, we have an extra day. In this case efficiency will determine how powerful the burst of power is, although it will inherently be low since you're using my chi. Technique will determine where you can properly use chi and how specifically you can apply it. In this case it'll be easier due to the fact that it's mine instead of yours. The easiest way to explain this would be that my chi is pure, like water from the tap, while a new user's chi would be like mud. It's obviously easier to make water flow than it is mud, and it's the same with my chi. Anyways, follow me."
You follow Kurosaki into a room with several punching bags and such and he just tells you to imagine the bundle of chi flowing through your body and then exploding, covering the body part you're attacking with as you attack one of the punching bags. After training for a while you...
>Roll 2d100+5, first die for efficiency, second for technique efficiency is a scale, but I do have stuff to reference against, technique is DC 20/40/60/80/90

Well, we're efficient and lack any form of technique.
>>
>>3074682
As you practice throughout the day Kurosaki begins to become more and more amused about the apparent lack of technique but abundance of force in your use of chi. While you're using the chi in your body as efficiently as someone could considering the situation, you can't even direct the power towards a specific limb. The best way to use the two strands of chi you have in you right now would honestly be to bodyslam people. As it is when you use a single strand you're slightly more powerful than an adult athlete for a single strike. This increase in strength is across your entire body, and even affects your sense of hearing and sight, but you feel like it'd be more useful if you could actually direct all of the power into one area. Oh well, you'll have to deal with it.
Your training finished, Kurosaki tells you to head home. He says that tomorrow is Sunday and that he has some preparations to make for the next few days before he does something important. You...
>Try to coerce him into training you for a bit longer. Another day couldn't hurt, right? [1d100]
>Ask him what he's preparing for. [1d100]

You see Kurosaki anxiously think for a moment before he sighs and says "Alright, four hours. We have a decent chance at either letting you store three strands of my chi or improving your technique slightly, which do you want to try." You...

You ask Kurosaki to help you fix your technique and spend the next two hours training. By that point you begin to be able to contain the burst of strength to one limb, and by three hours you can do it consistently. Now you can punch something with the strength of a bodybuilder or use a strand on both of your legs to get a burst of speed like a professional in track. Of course, you could always use it on all of your body and bodyslam someone, but you fail to see the purpose.
Done with your training, Kurosaki hurries off rather quick, still seeming concerned about whatever he had to do. It's a bit before afternoon Sunday morning, and you...

Due to deadlines drawing close enough to arouse a faint sense of panic within me and a test I didn't know about appearing in two days, among other things, I won't be updating until at least the night of the 29th or 30th, or possibly later. Absolute worst case scenario all of my finals end before the 15th and I'm free then, but I should be able to update before that.
I'll tweet something when I know when I'll next be updating at https://twitter.com/QmWalrus and post on /qtg/ once it's out.
As always, feel free to ask questions or shitpost below.

I'll be available to update for the next 3.5 hours and then will have time again after my Call of Cthulhu session is over later tonight, gib votes.

You decide to catch up on the local news first, figuring that it's in your best interest to figure out whether something major happened in the gang war while you were busy.
You buy a couple of newspapers and find a few reports of gunfights and such, but there doesn't seem to be anything on a major scale. You call Fukuda to see if she's alright just in case, but she says she's fine.
There's no more news about the forest besides that the closings have continued, and that anyone who enters it for the time being will be fined.
The rest of the news stories aren't particularly important and you throw the newspapers away. Knowing the situation better now, you...

You head back to your house and have a nice lunch with the rest of the family. Afterwards Mark heads to his room to study and you see Fukuda head back to her room. Something seems a bit off with her, but it could just be the nerves getting to her. Your mom goes to work on something and your dad is loudly yelling at the TV while watching baseball. You...
>Try to hang out with Mark, he should have SOME free time.
>Hang out with Fukuda, you wonder what's up with her.
>Watch baseball with your dad. You don't understand the rules, but they can't be that hard, right?

You knock on the door to Fukuda's room and hear her yell "It's open, come in." through the door. You open the door to her room to see her lazing around on her bed. You make smalltalk for a bit before getting around to why she seems off right now. Fukuda seems surprised and goes "Oh, am I? Sorry, guess I am sort of out of it. We're supposed to be carrying out an attack against Central to either win or lose this war really late tonight, but it's interesting to think that I might not even be part of a gang tomorrow if it goes badly." You...

You ask Fukuda if you can have more details about what they're planning to do and she says "More details? Uh, sure. We were going to slowly funnel into a nearby building that somebody's family happens to own and wait until around 3 AM before we leave, surround their headquarters, and storm inside. If we're lucky we can capture some of the higher-ups and end this without too much trouble." You...

I don't want you to get hurt, you're a kid after all." You wonder why she isn't saving any of that worry for herself, but alright, you're in. She tells you to go to a certain building at 8 PM, so you have about 6 hours until then. You...

That single session turned into much more than I expected so I am pretty dead right now and can't update anyways because no votes. I'll still be kinda busy this weekend but I'll intermittently update if there are votes when I get chances to, same as normal I guess.

You play your harmonica for a bit to calm yourself down before gathering the stuff you're planning on taking for the fight and taking a nap. You wake up a little before dinner and have a rather solemn dinner before you go back to your room and prepare your equipment.
You keep the sheathed katana and both of the other bokutos on your back with a makeshift strap, put the helmet with nightvision goggles on your head, put on some of the pads from your paintball equipment for some minimal protection, and hide your pistol in a pocket with nothing else in it. You don't own a holster, so you're just going to have to be careful with the thing.
You head to the address of a large, rather deserted looking building. When you go inside you hear some noise coming from the basement and head there to see a crowd of around 200 people. Most of them are equipped with various makeshift weapons, baseball bats, or all other sorts of things. You recognize a few of the higher-ups from the tournament, but you don't see Murata here. Guess he bowed out after getting shot. You...

You try to figure out the general atmosphere of the room and it seems rather tense but at the same time lighter than you expected. You expected more of a 'we're screwed' feeling about everyone here, but it seems more like a 'final battle' sort of thing. Most everyone is sitting around either making banter or fidgeting with their weapons. They don't seem to be despairing or anything, they're just a bit nervous. It's about 9 PM now, there are 6 hours until it starts. You...
>Get some more sleep until it's about to start.

You make some smalltalk with some of the less nervous people, and while you don't really manage to get onto friendly terms you at least manage to break the ice with the boy you're talking to. After talking you head over to where Fukuda and the other higher-ups are and ask if you can keep a lookout from one of the higher floors with your nightivision goggles. This is okay'd and you head up.
You head up to the sixth floor and lie on the ground in front of a hard to notice window. You put on your night vision goggles and stare at the imposing building across the street. As time wears on you see more and more lights flicker out and watch the flow of people in and out of the building. You see more people leave the building than enter, which you guess is due to it being so late. Even late into the night it's busier than the surrounding buildings, but you guess that this is the best chance you're going to get. You head back down at 2:30 AM and the leaders lay out a more detailed description of the plan for everyone. People begin splitting up based on their respective roles and you...
>Join the group facing the back of the building where there should be less fighting.
>Join the group of higher-ups leading the charge.
>Stay out of the fighting altogether, you can just watch this play out for now.

You make your way to Fukuda and ask to join the group at the front of the charge. They don't really seem to mind and let you join, although Fukuda seems a bit worried.
The time ticks down to 3 AM and then the hundreds of teenagers begin shuffling out of the building you're in through multiple entrances. Despite the massive group of people, the advance itself is pretty quiet, and the people begin circling around Central's base.
As this is happening you hear some noise from inside the base and you can see lights turning on from the windows. This would be worrying, but even if they figure out what's happening it's already too late to get more people. All they can do is try to hold the building with whoever is there. It's not like the gangs expected not to be seen with a horde. All they needed was to cut whoever was in the building off from more reinforcements.
After a couple of minutes the encirclement is properly completed and the circle begins tightening as people move towards the doors.
After a moment you hear a few gunshots. You're not sure which side fired them, but this is followed by the rapid dash of the group you're with towards the doors. You see several vague shapes behind the front doors and from some of the windows, but it seems like they'll be trying to hold the inside instead of rushing out. You morbidly wonder exactly how bloody this is going to get.

Alright, this is an alright stopping point for now. Next, most likely last thread will be on the 15th, after finals ends. Sorry for the delays, blame life.
