/qst/ - Quests

In this quest you play as Wade Wakeman, a 15 year old boy with a heart of gold and the wielder of the Omnitrix. This story is being told in an alternate universe, in which there are no longer any remaining Tennysons. Characters from earlier seasons will appear, but not always in a way that you’d expect.

(I know this is pretty early, but we're gonna do it anyway.)

You never thought that you'd see an actual space ship before you started this summer road trip. But then again, you never thought you'd find an alien hero watch either. The ship opens up and 3 men in white armor walk out of it. One of which is unmasked and has non-human features. He has purple skin, an enlarged cranium and skies that stick out of his head. Despite his strange appearance, he seems to carry himself with an air of dignity.

[Koba]: Phil, I thought I told you to come alone.

[Phil]: Well what can I say Koba, these kids love me too much to let me go alone.

[Koba]: Hh. You're lucky that I owe you one.

The purple alien known as Koba looks over to you for a moment, almost as if he were appraising you. His eyes glance over to your watch, and he grimaces after observing it. Maybe these aliens know more about this watch than you do.

[Kevin]: So you're one of these "Plumbers" right? That an acronym or something?

[Koba]: No. You'll be coming with me to Plumber HQ. Right this way.

Koba makes a hand movement and the two remaining Plumbers circle behind him and raise their weapons.

[Kevin]: Oookay then. Can't blame a guy for trying to start a conversation.

They all start marching toward the ship.

What do you say?

[Wade]: Hold up. Do you know anything about this watch?

You show him your watch, and he gives you another harsh look.

[Koba]: It's called the Omnitrix. It's Asmuth's final creation before he went into hiding. It's not a toy, it's not a fashion accessory, it's a weapon! And in my opinion, it doesn't belong on the wrist of some human child.

You start to tune out what he's saying since it sounds like he just wants to lecture you.

[Koba]: So you had better take care of it. Or else some random crook is gonna take you out and peels it off your arm.

Huh, maybe he's not such a bad guy after all.

[Wade]: Can we come with you?

[Koba]: You want to come to Plumber HQ? Not happening.

Grandpa looks a bit relieved after hearing his answer.

[Wade]: Well, why not?

[Koba]: The council is in a sorry state and they've started a witchhunt on any and all mutants and scientists that were involved in the Regenesis Project. The last thing we need is two of them in one place. Not even I can bluff my way out of that. So I suggest you stay put put and get comfy, because you ain't leaving this planet without Plumber approval and supervision.

[Wade]: I get that, but can i go there later? I'm just curious about, what's the right word, the general intergalactic situation? After all, I just recently learned that there's intelligent life beyond earth. It's just got me thinking is all.

Koba mulls over what you've said to him and finally gives you a big sigh while rubbing the back of his head.

[Koba]: Look, kid. I'm not against you going to the base. I just can't bring you there rigth at this very moment or in the foreseeable future. If this war gets taken care of, then sure. Hell, I'll bring you there myself if we can get this whole thing wrapped up in a pretty little bow. I just don't trust the council's judgement right now. When they see you, they might put you in prison, kill you or make you into a living weapon. This whole thing is alot bigger than me or you.

[Wade]: Ok, I understand.

[Koba]: Good. You're a sensible kid. Maybe you might be able to use that watch right after all.

Koba smiles for a moment and calls his guards off.

[Koba]: I'll give you a moment to say your goodbyes.

You walk up to Kevin and extend a hand to him.

[Wade]: When you get back to earth you're welcome to stay with us y'know.

[Kevin]: Thanks, it's nice to know that I've got some friends back at home. One of these days I'll find a way to repay you guys for everything you've done for me.

[Wade]: Come back in piece and bring back some souvenirs. Then we'll be even.

Kevin smiles in an almost innocent way and shakes your hand firmly. He walks toward Koba's ship and nods toward the Plumbers waiting for him. Before the ship lifts off, he looks back and waves at you all one last time. And then in an instant, they're gone in a flash.

Phil puts a hand on your shoulder and motions you back to the RV. You can't help but stare at the sky through the window even after you've left. You wonder what else is out there waiting for you.

Grandpa let you know that you're headed to North Carolina next. But there's about 110 miles between both states. So you've got some free time.

You walk over to where Olivia's sitting and she smiles as she notices you.

[Wade]: Hey, whatcha doing?

[Olivia]: Drawing up some more costume ideas for you and me. We've gotta look the part.

[Wade]: Right, but the costume doesn't make the hero. You saved me and Kevin just fine without one.

[Olivia]: I know but, I just feel like I'm losing to you a bit.

[Wade]: Losing?

Olivia has a guilty look now.

[Olivia]: Can I confess something to you?

[Wade]: Shoot.

[Olivia]: When I heard about you being a mutant that was made to save the galaxy, I felt jealous.

[Wade]: Jealous? What's there to be jealous about? I've been lied to my entire life about who I was. What I was...

[Olivia]: And you took it like a champ! You didn't run away or panic. You embraced it and moved on. I realized that you were so much more of a hero than I could ever be. Hell, you were a hero before you even got that watch.

[Wade]: You shouldn't feel like you need to catch up to me or go out of your way to be more like me. I was just in the right place at the right time. You could have easily been the one to receive it.

[Olivia]: But it wouldn't work for me remember? I don't have that "Max" guy's DNA.

[Wade]: Well, who knows? Maybe there's universe somewhere out there where you're in my shoes.

[Olivia]: Must be nice...

Olivia tucks in her legs and looks to the floor.

[Wade]: Look. As strong and lucky as I may be, I can't do this alone. I need "Team Wakeman" to keep me in check and watch my back. Okay?

[Olivia]: Ok! Wanna see my suit design?

She's back to her usual self again!

[Wade]: Sure.

She shows you a tokusatsu-esque costume with a flowing coat and purple and black patterns. There's also a belt with the Omnitrix symbol on it, and the mask seems like it bears the hourglass symbol as well.

[Olivia]: So? What do you think?

[Wade]: I love it! If you make the coat a bit shorter like a jacket and include a scarf, it'd be perfect! Can you really make this?

[Olivia]: Mhmm! It'll take a few days though. I might need to go pick up some materials for my costume though.

[Wade]: This is amazing! It'll look so cool when I transform too. Just like those Saturday morning Japanese action shows.

[Olivia]: I'll have to experiement a bit with the mask and the jacket measurements, but this shouldn't be too difficult. Now all I need to do it convince Grandpa to sit down for a costume-jam sesh.

[Wade]: Doesn't he already have one?

[Olivia]: Yeah, but it could use some more flair.

After gushing some more about the costume design, you go to hang out with Grandpa for a bit. You manage to catch him relaxing on the couch after he stops at a gas station.

[Phil]: Hey kiddo, need something?

[Wade]: I was wondering if you could teach me a skill.

[Phil]: A skill? What kind of skill?

[Wade]: When my watch times out, I'm vulnerable. So I want to learn how to be of more use even when I can't use the watch.

Phil rubs his chin for a moment before snapping his fingers.

[Phil]: Sounds reasonable. Ok, what do you want to learn?

Well that was easy.

Which skill would you like to learn?

>Electrical Engineering(Teaches you how to fix, re-purpose and disable electrical devices. Increases Intelligence)

>Mechanical Engineering(Teaches you how to fix vehicles and most types of machinery. Increases Handiness)

>Marksmanship(Increases accuracy and teaches you how to use firearms of your choosing. Increases Dexterity.)

To clarify, training in these skills will make your rolls for certain tasks slightly easier.

>Moxie is your fighting stat.
>Handiness is your manual dexterity and coordination stat.
>Dexterity is your agility and balance.
>Intelligence is for strategizing and understanding difficult topics and situations.
>Charm is pretty straightforward.

The higher a stat is, the faster you learn a skill that teaches that stat.

Your stats are currently as follows:

Moxie: 1
Intelligence 2
Handiness: 1
Dexterity: 1
Charm: 1

You decide to learn how to defend yourself.

[Phil]: So, you want your old man to teach you how to fight? Sure thing. Help me set up some Gym equipment that I brought from home.

You help Grandpa set up a cheap looking punching bag in a playground nearby. He gives you some boxing gloves and headgear, and starts showing you the basics.

[Phil]: So you wanna plant your feet, square your hips and draw power from your hips when you throw a punch. You don't weigh too much right now, so that'll be important for you to remember. And always keep your hands up to protect your face.

Before you even get to throw a punch, he shows you proper form and explains why it's so important. You pick up on the basics pretty easily. After throwing a few punches at the punching bag, Grandpa stops you and corrects your form a bit. After that, your next punch makes the punching bag fly backward. He smiles, satisfied by your progress, and moves on to teaching you how to dodge hits.

[Phil]: You need to be quick. Strike fast and get out even faster. Don't get too cocky or emotional. A lucky punch don't mean nothing if you get laid out right afterward.

He teaches you how to properly throw a punch and evade the next instant. You don't have much difficulty learning his combat lesson. But the both of you are sweating up a storm and laying on the ground while breathing heavily. It seems neither of you are used to this anymore.

[Phil]: Good job, kid. You're a natural!

[Wade]: ...Thanks.

>You've learned how to throw a punch and evade hits.
>Your Moxie greatly increased! You might level up from 1 or 2 more sessions.

You go back to the RV to lay down for a while. Grandpa rests for about an hour before he jumps back on the road. You take a nap for the rest of the drive.

(Continuing in Next Post)
>>
After about another hour and a half, you make it to North Carolina. Grandpa let you know that you'll be staying at his friend's house while you're there. You think his name was Charles or something. You're a bit tired at the moment. After you arrive at the house, you and Olivia step out to see a man with dark skin who looks to be in his mid-forties wearing a tan shirt, with torn jeans and an old blue hat. Grandpa immediately laughs and runs up to the man and gives him his signature bear hug. You worry for the man for a moment, but he starts laughing along with your Grandpa.

[Charles]: Lemme go you old bag of bones

[Phil]: No way! It's been 10 years! You're not getting away from me that easy. Hey kids, come say hi to your Uncle Charles!

[Olivia]: Uncle? I've never seen him in any of the family photos.

[Phil]: He ain't your real uncle. But he's looked after you more times than I could remember.

[Wade]: That's weird. I don't remember him at all.

[Charles]: Well that's because ya'll were just little tykes when I last saw you. You sure have gotten big too. Next you'll tell me that you're driving too.

[Phil]: Heh. I wanna wait a bit longer before he gets his hands on the wheel.

[Charles]: Oh please. I was 13 when my Dad first let me drive his truck. You're smothering these kids too much. They're growing up Phil. And you've gotta accept that.

[Phil]: Well, there's nothing wrong with being cautious with my grand-kids.

These two are getting into a heated argument, so you go wander around a bit with Olivia. You find a boy wearing a red hoodie, while taking a golden lab on a walk. Olivia immediately runs to the dog and starts to pet the crap out of it.

[Olivia]: Awww, who's a good boy? Who's a cute little baby?

[Wade]: Sorry about that. We're the Wakeman's. What's your name?

You extend a hand, but the boy is a bit apprehensive at first. He cautiously shakes your hand.

[Alan]: I'm Alan, and that's Ginger.

He points to his happy lab.

[Wade]: Nice to meet you. That girl that's smothering your dog is Olivia, and I'm Wade. That's my grandpa Phil if you didn't know already.

You point to your grandpa, who's still arguing.

[Alan]: Oh! You guys are the ones who'll be staying with us. Sorry if I came off as rude earlier. I've been pretty jumpy, what with the abductions going on.

He covers his mouth as soon as he says it. You and Olivia look to one another with worried expressions.

[Olivia]: Abductions? What abductions?

[Alan]: I'm sorry! I wasn't supposed to talk about it around company. Dad hates this kind of thing.

[Wade]: Well we aren't your dad. And I think he's a little preoccupied right now.

You all look back at your relatives, only to see that they are still standing in the same place they were when you left.

[Alan]: Ok, but don't tell him I told you. 3 months ago, there were a bunch of UFO sightings around town. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, since those types of things are common around these parts. But then, people started disappearing one by one. No one knew why, and now we've got a mountain of missing person's cases. Now, nobody even talks about what's happening. Everyone's scared, so they're just ignoring it. I've been up all night these days, praying I don't get abducted by aliens. Do you know how crazy that sounds?! I can't even talk to my own dad about this because he thinks it's a bunch of nonsense.

Wow. This guy is really high strung. And you can't blame him after hearing that story.

First, you've gotta calm him down. Then you can get information.

[Wade]: Relax. Take a deep breath.

Alan closes his eyes, slowly inhales and slowly exhales.

[Alan]: Ok. I'm ok. Sorry about that. I've been holding that in for months.

[Wade]: It's ok. Has anyone actually seen one of these aliens?

[Alan]: Yeah, a bunch of people have actually.

[Wade]: Great. What do they look like?

[Alan]: They have pale grey skin, big black beady eyes, and large bulbous heads!

Your excitement immediately dies down.

[Wade]: Uh, aren't those guys just your basic hoax alien? I mean come on. They could have at least put some effort into it?

[Alan]: Look, I know it sounds stupid. I didn't believe it myself, until I actually saw them! I saw them take my neighbors, and I couldn't do a damn thing about it!

[Wade]: So you've seen them?

[Alan]: Yeah, they dragged them out of their homes and beamed them up into this big black saucer thing.

You and Olivia look skeptical. It's hard to believe this type of stuff when you've seen actual aliens. But there's no mistaking that there really are people disappearing in this town.

[Alan]: Don't believe me? I can show you the crop circles that they made. It's some real spooky stuff man.

[Wade]: Lead the way.

You and the rest of the gang tell Charles and Phil that you're going into town. They both warn you to be careful, and go back to what they doing before. After walking for a few minutes, you decide to warn Alan about your dangerous line of work.

[Wade]: Just a heads up, this...will probably get weird so don't freak out when you see things get freaky.

[Alan]: Can't be any weirder than what I've seen these past few weeks.

[Wade]: You'd be surprised.

The rest of the trip is pretty quiet, except for some small talk here and there. Eventually, you make it to the corn field that Alan was talking about.

[Alan]: Follow me.

You follow Alan into the dense field, and it's even more annoying than you thought it would be. Random corn stalks whip back and slap you in the face every now and again, making you spit and curse under your breath.

You're lead to an area that appears to have been cut down by a machine of some sort. You can se complex patterns that are engraved in the ground, and they look a little too perfect.

[Alan]: See? Spooky right?

You wonder if your Omnitrix can translate these markings. It DID say that it had a universal translator built into it. Time to test it out.

[Wade]: Hey Omnitrix. Can you translate these markings?

[Alan]: Is this guy talking to his watch?

[Olivia]: Just give it a moment.

[Omnitrix]: Certainly. One moment.

The watch begins to scan the markings on the ground. Shortly afterward, it makes a violent beep.

[Omnitrix]: Error. There is no existing alien language that contains these symbols and markings.

Well that was a fat load of nothing. Maybe this really is some elaborate prank. You decide to kneel inspect the ground beneath your feet. Surprisingly, it feels hard and cold. And not like normal soil. It kind of feels like metal.

[Wade]: Something's wrong.

And in that very moment, in the time it took for you to blink, the sky above you darkens significantly. As if the sun was plucked from the sky.

[Alan]: What's going on?

[Olivia]: Don't ask me!

You start to hear rustling all around you, along with a strange murmuring. Your hand hovers over your watch as your friends slowly get closer to you. Suddenly, aliens with grey skin jump out of the field around you, and begin to train their rifles on you. They speak in a high pitched warbling noise that you can't understand. You wonder why the Omnitrix doesn't translate for you.

Forgot my trip

These guys tried to hurt your friends, and now it's their turn to experience true fear. Your predatory instincts kick in and you quickly fly past the aliens. You lean to the side and dip the tip of your wing into the ground, creating a dust cloud wherever you fly. You use your speed to your advantage, flying past them several times, scaring and confusing them with each pass you make.

They slowly begin to back away from your friends, becoming fearful for their own lives. Just to mess with them, you fly past them a few more times. They fire their guns at what they assume is you, but their reflexes cannot match your speed. One of the aliens begins to deviate from the rest, and that is where you will begin your hunt.

You swoop down and snatch him up, not giving him a chance to even make a noise. He drops his gun, making the others look back to see it drop to the dirt. They start panic and start standing back to back. As if that will make a difference. You swoop down once more and snatch another alien right from under the other one's nose. He needs to know that he's powerless in this situation. You hold all of the cards.

He now begins to fire blindly into the smoke. You can't have that. He might hit Ollie and Alan. It's time to end this little game of yours. You swoop down one last time and carry the straggler off into the night.

But really, you just made them pass out from how fast you were going. You go back to check on them both, but you are stopped by a bright light that's projected from the sky. You are unable to move, and it feels terrifying. Like sleep paralysis. You, Ollie and Alan start to fly up toward the source of the light, which appears to be a black saucer in the sky!

[Alan]: I told you!

[Wade]: Not now, Alan!

All of you are powerless before this massive device. All you can do is wait to find out what's waiting for you up there. As you get closer, you start to feel drowsy, and you can't fight the desire to sleep. And then, everything goes black.

(And we're back!)

You slowly open your eyes, only to see a blinding white light hovering over you. You look around the room with squinted eyes, only to see the grey aliens crowding around you. You start to panic and try to move, only to realize that you've been strapped to an operating table. You can't even reach your watch!

The alien's speech is unintelligible as ever, but it makes you anxious. One of them grabs a tool that looks a bit like a circular saw, and they begin to inch closer to you. You close your eyes and brace for the worst, when suddenly, a voice calls out from a dark corner of the room.

[???]: That's enough! I'll take it from here.

The aliens back away from you, to make room fro a man wearing a business suit and an animal mask of some sort.

[???]: Hello there. I imagine that you're very confused at the moment. But I can assure you, we mean no harm.

What do you say?

>"Kinda hard to imagine after you opened fire on me and my friends."

[Wade]: Kinda hard to imagine after you opened fire on me and my friends.

[???]: My apologies. We were only defending our outpost. Normally, the locals run away after encountering my men. But it seems that mere scare tactics won't work against you, so we had to employ other methods.

[Wade]: Like abducting us?

[???]: We were going to release you afterward. But then we came across an irregularity in your DNA.

He gets much closer to you.

[???]: You aren't normal. You and your friend over there.

He points to a monitor to the left of you, and you see Alan lying unconscious on a table.

[Wade]: What do you mean? What's wrong with him?

Better to use the threat of legal retaliation to get them to back off than risk making a fight out of it and making the kidnapped people get hurt somehow

[Wade]: What's wrong with being a mutant?

[???]: It is not something that you can control, but it is a problem nonetheless. You don't belong here. Everything and everyone must go where they belong. And frankly, you don't belong anywhere.

[Wade]: How about you drop me and my friends off at the corn fields and we can call it even. And not to mention everyone else that you've abducted as well. And MAYBE my grandfather, who is a high ranking plumber, won't come down on your heads for this. Seriously, you're just digging yourselves deeper here.

You make sure to mention your grandfather loud enough for the aliens in the back to hear. They begin to murmur amongst themselves, and they seem to be getting worried. The coyote masked man raises a hand to get their attention.

[???]: I am well aware of the Plumber's presence in this sector. But he has no way of locating us at this very moment, and our work here is almost done. Soon, this state will be freed of the alien menace!

[Wade]: Alien menace?

[Coyote]: Yes. This planet is filthy with alien migrants, attempting to run from their designated sectors. They hide among you, wearing your faces and pretending to be one of you. You should be thanking me.

[Wade]: But that doesn't make any sense. Why would aliens kidnap aliens?

The coyote man looks over to his men and gives an approving nod. The aliens that were about to dissect you, grab their leathery skin and begin to remove it. They have human faces underneath! Wait a minute. They are humans!

Voice modes definitely a thing in the show, I doubt we'll be able to figure out how to activate it without knowing a bit more about the Omnitrix first but it might be worthwhile to try next time we get a chance to experiment with our watch

[Wade]: What's going on? Is this actually a prank? I'm gonna be so mad if I'm on some hidden camera show!

[Human Captor]: This isn't a prank. We're doing this because it's the only way to keep other human safe. Each and every one of us have been abducted by aliens, and it's only because of Coyote's efforts that we've been freed. We can't let anyone else go through what we have.

[Wade]: Oh I know what this is. Some kind of racial purity group but for planets right? Yeah, here's the deal. You seem to believe that "Earth is For the Humans" right? Well let me tell you, it's those kinds of thoughts that breed racism and xenophobia and frankly, I find that extremely offensive."

All of them are stunned by your outburst. Coyote begins clapping and it snaps his men out of their daze.

[Coyote]: Very well said. You might have a future as a politician or a public speaker. But not on this planet. The native people on the planet I'll deliver you to will be lucky to have you.

He leads his men out of the room and prepares to exit behind them. It's like nothing you just said phased him at all.

You remember that the Omnitrix has a voice command function that you can use.

[Wade]: Omnitrix, activate voice command.

[Omnitrix]: Vocal recognition confirmed. Omnitrix user designation: "Wade".

[Omnitrix]: Species name not recognized.

Ugh! You never found out what the name of the species was. Maybe you should try to get the Omnitrix to memorize their nicknames later. maybe you should try being a bit more specific.

[Wade]: Category: Reptilian aliens.

[Wade]: Select "Soldaat Mkulu"

You really hope this is Rad.

[Omnitrix]: Affirmative.

The Omnitrix opens up on its own, and moves to select the alien species you just named. The button pops up and slowly recedes back into the watch. A purple flash blinds you, and you can feel your limbs stretching beyond your normal capacity to do so. Once you open your eyes, you see that you've become "Rad-el Snake"!

[Wade]: Gnarly!

Your legs are no longer restrained, since you just have a tail now. You use your powerful tail to pry your hands free, and gently place your broken restraints on the floor.

You quickly slither your way down the hallway, making your way to the ceiling and using your camouflage ability to avoid being spotted. You're a little worried that you won't be able to find your friends on this massive ship, but then you notice something about their procedures. It seems that they place new subjects in examination rooms that are fairly close to one another. Eventually, you manage to find Olivia! She's being examined by another one of those fake grey aliens. You slither onto the ceiling in the room and position yourself to be directly above the scientist. Then you lower your tail the floor and coil it around him. He gets a bit surprised and tries to scream, but you're too fast for that. You quickly whisk him up toward the ceiling and slam his head on an exposed metal pipe. You're careful not to snap his neck or crush his skull, and his body goes limp as he goes unconscious. You slowly set him down and use your powerful tail to destroy the restraints. Olivia's still unconscious so you place her in a corner and go to free Alan.

He's not too hard to find, and you repeat the same process from before in order to free him. You then bring him back to Ollie's examination room and lock the door. After a few moments, they wake up groggy and confused, same as you. So you take a moment to explain the situation to them.

[Alan]: So you're telling me that humans are abducting aliens?

[Olivia]: That's pretty messed up. If you ask me, these guys deserve to get a good old fashioned beatdown!

[Wade]: I couldn't agree more, but we need a plan broskies.

[Alan]: We can free everybody that's been abducted and use them to fight the bad guys.

[Olivia]: I like where your head's at, but I think we should disable the ship's engines and navigation systems.

[Alan]: But how would we even find-

Alan stops talking and clutches his head in pain for moment. He seems to be sweating profusely and breathing heavily.

You decide to combine both of their plans and completely cripple their security. You wait for a guard to pass by your room, and quickly snatch him up with your tail. Once you coil yourself around him, you open up your shades and reveal your hypnotic eyes. The trick to it is to be as casual and welcoming as possible to those that are susceptible to hypnosis.

[Wade]: Hey bro, can you tell me where the command console is for the prisoners?

[Human Guard]: Uh, it's in B-block. Cell 14.

[Wade]: Gah, silly me. I forgot my pass-code for the console. Do me a favor and lend me yours, bro?

[Human Guard]: Of course. just remember to give it back afterward.

The guard hands you a encryption key, and you then hand it to Ollie.

[Wade]: Sure thing. Now, SLEEP...

The guard immediately passes out and goes limp. Olivia takes a baton off of his side and hands a pistol to Alan. He begrudgingly takes it. You lay the guard in the corner and carefully make your way the command console's location. After finding it, you encounter 3 guards performing maintenance. You each take one. You grab a guard and squeeze his throat and chest to make sure that he doesn't make any noise. After constricting him for a few moments, he passes out. Olivia carefully walks up to a guard, whips him in the leg with the baton and knocks him out by bashing him in the head. Alan creeps up behind his target and places the barrel on the back of his head.

[Alan]: Don't move. Don't make a sound.

The guard raises his arms in the air.

[Alan]: On your knees, now!

He gets on his knees and tries to look at Alan. Alan responds by pistol whipping him in the face, thus knocking him out. Man, these guys are pretty useful in a pinch.

[Olivia]: Guys, I found the console.

You slither over to your cousin and tell her to insert the encryption key. You're pretty glad that these guys are humans, because all of the options on this console are in English. It makes it really easy to release all of the prisoners on the ship. Which is exactly what you do.

A loud alarm blares throughout the halls, and every prisoner in cryo wakes up and begins to riot. there are aliens here that you've never seen before, and it's pretty damn exciting. Maybe you can meet them after you all get out of here. You can hear the guards going into a panic, so you use this opportunity to make yourselves scarce. You use the loud alarm to your advantage by snatching a guard away from his squad to ask for directions. And you make sure to use your "suggestion" to get him to squeal.

[Wade]: Hey man, can you give me directions to the Engine room?

[Human Guard]: Sure thing. It's right down this hall and you make left at cell block E. You can't miss it.

[Wade]: Thanks bro! Now take five...

The guard falls asleep and you let him drop to the floor.

(Continued in Next Post)
>>
Oh that worked out beautifully....
>>
You make your way to the engine room, and encounter little to no opposition because of the riot. Thankfully, there are only scientists here doing maintenance and hiding from all the chaos. You and the rest prepare for a fight, but all of them run outside without even trying to oppose you.

[Olivia]: Well that was easy.

[Alan]: Anyone know how to disable these things?

[Wade]: Yup.

You begin to rip out important looking wires in the engine, hoping one of them will do the trick. Olivia walks over and picks out a really colorful one.

[Olivia]: Ooh! Try that one!

You rip out the wire and immediately, the engine starts sparking and the entire ship shakes a bit.

[Alan]: That'll do it.

[Olivia]: Now they'll have to land.

[Wade]: Hopefully they can avoid crashing us on top of the town below.

All of you run out of the engine room and head to where you assume the riot is taking place. You find a large room where the prisoners and the guards are fighting each other. It's absolute chaos! And your warrior instincts are starting to kick in.

You suddenly see Coyote running out of the room, probably trying to escape.

You enter through the door that Coyote ran through, and set your friends down. You all look around a room filled with metal crates, but you don't see him. He appears to be hiding.

You use your seismic sense to try and figure out where he his voice is coming from. If you keep him talking, you can use the vibrations from his voice to find out his exact location.

[Wade]: Is that really something to be mad about? Were you abused or something? Because you shouldn't hate something about yourself that you can't change. Your mutation makes you who you are.

[Coyote]: You don't understand. I can't control it. If I don't wear these specially made gloves, anything that i touch gets teleported away from me. This "gift" has ruined my entire life. It killed my parents, and it has prevented me from even dreaming of being able to grow close to another person.

That's right. Keep talking, crazy...

[Coyote]: And would you like to know why this happened? Because my grandfather was an alien migrant and decided to keep it a secret from my grandmother. Now I must suffer for her carelessness. I swear, no other boy will have to go through what I have. Everything will go back to where they belong. As they should be.

To be honest. you kinda feel bad for him. He's unhinged, but he's had a rough life so far. You time out your watch, causing Olivia and Alan to look back at you.

[Wade]: My Omnitrix can repair DNA. I don't know if it'll help, but we can give it a shot.

Coyote slowly comes out of hiding and stares at you.

[Coyote]: Are you telling the truth?

He looks like he really wants to believe you. He doesn't seem as hostile anymore.

[Wade]: Omnitrix, repair DNA.

[Omnitrix]: Affirmative. DNA repair mode activated.

A purple beam scans Coyote and is immediately followed by a bright flash that blinds you all. The Omnitrix beeps and you hang at the edge of your seat, waiting to hear the results.

[Omnitrix]: DNA repair failed. Additional data is required for designated species.

Uh-oh.

[Coyote]: Liar!

Coyote is enraged again. He moves to touch you, but you are all suddenly thrown off of the ground. The entire shift is leaning to the side. Ollie and Alan find something to hold onto to avoid a fatal fall. but you and Coyote are still falling.

You find a bolted window frame and grab onto it. You look over to see Coyote falling next to you. You reach out and grab the sleeve of his jacket, carefully avoiding his hands.

[Coyote]: Let go of me, you wretch!

[Wade]: I'm sorry I couldn't help, but it doesn't have to be this way! If you just trust me, I can get some data on what kind of alien species your grandfather is.

Coyote stays silent for a moment.

[Wade]: Truth is, I didn't have time to think of a hero name! But I want to help everyone that isn't a complete psychopath or sociopath. Or a warlord, etc. You get the point, right?

[Coyote]: Heh. You are a strange boy.

If you didn't know any better, you could swear that he was smiling under that mask. Suddenly, all of you are flung to the back of the ship. You can feel a great amount of pressure, and it feels as if it could crush you. The ship must have crashed.

Olivia and Alan help you up, and you help up Coyote by grabbing his arm. You all move to a nearby door, probably the one that Coyote was headed towards earlier, and you carefully exit the ship. You can see the prisoners from before rounding up the guards outside. You wonder what they're doing.

One of them spots Coyote and alerts the rest of the prisoners. A good number of them begin running at you with the intention to rip their captor limb-from-limb. You reach for your watch to transform, but it's still timed out! You raise your fists to defend yourself, when Alan suddenly jumps in front of you.

[Alan]: Stop!!!

As he screams this, his body becomes engulfed in flames. You and everyone else slowly back away from him, clearly afraid of his power. Alan now has skin that's similar to molten rock, with fire and sparks dancing on his jagged stone flesh.

[Alan]: W-what's happening to me?!

You have no idea.

Thanks for Playing!
The next session will be held at 5pm tomorrow!

Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts.

And what aliens or characters do you want to see return in the quest?
>>
>>3093182
I like alot of the aliens from the series. Don't know if there's any I don't like. As for characters, Lucy was pretty cute. Trying to figure out who else I liked from all of the series. I know I don't like Kai that much.
Also great session
>>
On a side note I'm curious what Coyote's grandfather's species is like.
>>
>>3093188
Same here. I loosely based Olivia's character off of Lucy, because Lucy was originally going to be your first cousin instead. Then I got worried that players would waifu their cousin, so I scrapped the idea. I am also not a huge fan of Kai, so I have no current plans to use her for anything. And thanks for the support.

>>3093198
Their species is rarely ever seen and very powerful. Coyote is only using a fraction of his species' potential. They are basically considered an urban legend on the extranet and in folk tales.

>>3093208

Is his grandfather a Ghost Freak?
>>

Nope. I do have plans for them though.

(And we're back!)

Alan bursting into flames sure did get everyone's attention. Now that you've got a chance to look at them, there sure are a bunch of interesting aliens here. You see a big red guy with four arms, a blue reptile with wheels for legs and purple girl with tentacle-like hair. But you can't get distracted by all that right now. Now you've gotta make sure that they don't hurt Coyote, or worse.

What do you say? What do you do?

[Wade]: You're all safe now. You can go back to your normal lives. I won't try to forcefully deport you.

[Four armed guy]: Oh yeah? Can you say the same for that piece of slag and his goons? Earth is dangerous enough without his kind running around taking people from their homes.

[Reptilian girl]: Yeah. How are me and my family supposed to feel safe anymore?

A bunch of smaller reptile kids suddenly run close to her. And damn are they quick! Those wheels must actually be good for something.

[Purple girl]: And no offense, but another human doesn't have the right to tell us what to do or how to live our lives. How do we know that you aren't working for him?

Oh no. These guys are jumping to conclusions and trying to find reasons to incriminate you. And you can't exactly call their concerns unreasonable. Just then, your watch beeps to let you know that it's done recharging.

[Wade]: You just saw a human kid burst into flames! We obviously aren't normal humans.

[Four armed guy]: Then what are you?

[Wade]: We're mutants. Me, the fire guy, and the guy that you wanna pummel. We're all different, but we're all human at our core.

[Reptilian girl]: So you've got alien DNA?

[Wade]: Oh yeah. Tons of it in fact.

You statement confuses the aliens, but you can hear Olivia snicker in the back.

[Wade]: If you discriminate against every human you see, then you're no better than he is. We aren't all the same. And do you know why these people where acting like this? They were abducted by other aliens, and like you, they think that all aliens are the same. They're just scared and confused. Like you.

[Four armed guy]: So then...what should we do?

[Wade]: Go on with your lives. I'll take care of these guys.

The aliens start to look a bit guilty about what they were planning to do. At least you managed to calm them down. The aliens now appear to be making small talk with one another and some are getting into heated arguments.

You decide to go talk to the reptile mom for a bit.

[Wade]: Hey, you mind if we talk for a bit?

[Reptile woman]: Sure, what do you want to talk about?

She motions her kids to get behind her. She probably is unsure of whether she can trust you.

[Wade]: Well, I'd like to know your name for starters. I'm Wade.

She's visibly surprised. It seems that you've caught her off guard with that question.

[Reptile woman]: M-my name? It's K8-E.

[Wade]: K8-E? That's a pretty human name for an alien.

[K8-E]: Just wait until you learn how to spell it.

She smiles warmly and it makes you feel at ease. You hope that she's starting to consider you as a fellow friend.

[Wade]: So how'd you get here? Earth I mean.

[K8-E]: I wanted to settle down, and Earth seemed like a much safer option than Kinet.

[Wade]: Kinet? Is that your home-world? What's it like?

[K8-E]: Constantly moving. We've gotta be quick-witted and quick on our feet. There's these dangerous electrical storms that'd wipe out most wildlife that can't run from them. And frankly, I felt like slowing down for a while.

[Wade]: That sounds awful. I can't imagine having to raise a kid in an environment like that.

[K8-E]: It's not so bad once you get used to it. Your planet has similar storms here on Earth, right?

[Wade]: Yeah but we have shelters and lightning rods to avoid getting hit. And I'm pretty sure our storms aren't as devastating as yours.

[K8-E]: Yeah I noticed that too. I always wondered why the engineers on my planet never made full use of their resources to avoid the storms. Maybe it's pride.

An important question comes to your mind.

[Wade]: Hold on. You guys are faster than light?!

K8-E giggles and puts her clawed hand to her mouth.

[K8-E]: Only barely. Our reaction time is what really keeps us alive. The fact that you humans managed to survive, without being fast enough to jump out of the way of your poor weather conditions, absolutely astounds me.

[Wade]: Well when you're exceedingly average at everything, you find a way to make do.

K8-E giggles again, and this time her kids do the same. She appears to be paying less attention to how close they are to you. Maybe they trust you a bit more now.

(Continued in Next Post)
>>
[K8-E]: So how'd you get caught up in all of this?

[Wade]: He kidnapped me when and my friends when we were investigating the abductions. And when we found out what was going on, we knew that we had to shut this whole operation down.

Her eyes go wide.

[K8-E]: You? No offense, but aren't humans known for being "exceedingly average"?

[Wade]: We are, but most humans don't have this.

You show her the Omnitrix. She's very intrigued by it, but you can also tell that she's confused.

[K8-E]: A flashy watch?

[Wade]: No, it's the Omnitrix. It allows me to become 10 aliens.

[K8-E]: All at once?

[Wade]: No, just one at a time. I thought aliens would know more about this thing than I did.

[K8-E]: Sorry to disappoint you, but we don't get a lot of extranet news down here.

[Wade]: Extranet? What's that?

[K8-E]: It's like the internet, but for the entire galaxy.

[Wade]: That sounds awesome! I wish we had that!

[K8-E]: Me too. Human recipes are way too simple. And the amount of time I have to wait for my pies to bake is grueling! Do you have any idea how impatient Kineceleran children are? They can barely sit down long enough for a TV dinner to finish cooking.

You're enjoying how natural this conversation feels now that you're getting to know her. You just can't help but feel excited that you're befriending an alien!

You notice that her kids are running circles around you and examining your watch.

[K8-E]: I'm very sorry about that. Kids! Leave this young man alone!

[Wade]: Nah it's fine. I don't mind them learning more about me.

You see K8-E nervously fidget a bit and you can't help but think that she's surprisingly cute for a mom. An alien mom at that.

[K8-E]: I...never thanked you for what you've done here. I don't know how I could ever repay you.

What do you say?(Scan is coming later)

[K8-E]: Sure! I've never met a human that's taken such an interest in me and my people. Can I see your communicator?

You pull out your cell-phone.

[Wade]: You mean this?

She snatches it out of your hand faster than you can react.

[K8-E]: Yup. One sec.

She takes a while to type her contact information on your touch screen. Maybe she's being careful not to break or scratch it. How considerate!

[K8-E]: Here you go!

Aww, she even took a selfie to create a contact photo. Why the hell is she using leat speak to spell her name? Maybe it's a cultural thing?

[Wade]: Thanks. If you don't mind me asking, where's their dad?

K8-E's smile drops and she starts holding her arm.

[K8-E]: No it's ok. I don't mind you asking. If there's anything Kineceleran's are good at, its running away.

Oh damn, this is a heavy topic.

[K8-E]: Not a lot of people are willing to slow down and settle. Our people are prone to acting first and thinking later, and that type of behavior is promoted in our culture.

[Wade]: Oh...I'm so sorry.

[K8-E]: Don't be. This has been the longest and most pleasant conversation that I've had in a long time with anyone that wasn't one of my own kids.

[Wade]: Glad to hear it. I do have one more question. And it's gonna sound weird.

[K8-E]: Go for it.

[Wade]: Would you mind if I scanned you with my watch? I promise that it's not for anything creepy.

[K8-E]: Scan?

[Wade]: Yeah. I want to see what it does when it scans a genuine alien. I promise it won't hurt.

You hope...

[K8-E]: Hmm...sure, why not?

[Wade]: Thank you! Omnitrix: Initiate scan.

[Omnitrix]: Initiating scan.

Your watch projects a purple beam and it slowly scans her body. This catches the attention of some other aliens, and they begin to whisper to one another. Soon enough, your watch beeps to let you know that the scan is complete.

[Omnitrix]: Kineceleran DNA acquired. Storing in Omnitrix databases.

Hmm? It took her DNA? Does that mean you can turn into on of her kind? Maybe you should go around trying this with some other aliens.

[Wade]: Thanks again.

You decide to talk to the four armed alien for a bit. You find him collecting supplies in a quiet corner.

[Wade]: Whatcha doing?

[Four armed guy]: None of your business, kid.

He's not nearly as friendly as the last alien. Can't stop you from trying though.

[Wade]: What'd I do to you?

[Four armed guy]: Nothing. I don't know you, and I'd like to keep it that way.

[Wade]: This doesn't have anything to do with the fact that I'm human, does it?

[Four armed guy]: Nope. I treat everyone the same.

[Wade]: Like garbage?

He finally turns around to look at you.

[Four-armed guy]: What do you want?

[Wade]: Your name would be a good start. I'm Wade.

[Four armed guy]: Why? What are you gonna use it for?

[Wade]: Nothing. I just want to get to know you.

[Four-armed guy]: If I tell you will you leave?

[Wade]: Maybe...

[Four armed guy]: ...It's Gorvan.

[Wade]: Nice to meet you, Gorvan.

[Gorvan]: You're still here.

[Wade]: I said maybe.

[Gorvan]: Then at least make yourself useful and help me gather these supplies.

[Wade]: Sure, what are you gathering them for?

[Gorvan]: Gonna sell them on the market and make a few easy taydens. And don't worry, I'm not gonna sell any weapons. The last thing I need is Plumbers on my tail.

[Wade]: So what planet are you from? And is having four arms really as useful as it looks?

[Gorvan]: Khoros. Like every other Tetramand. And when you live on a planet as hostile as mine? They really come in handy.

What a terrible pun.

[Wade]: So you're a Tetramand, huh? What's life like on Khoros?

[Gorvan]: Savage and unforgiving. The strongest of my people rule over the dominant country, and there is little to be said in terms of democracy. It's people are barbaric, and the barren lands are ruled by bloodthirsty warlords. They aimlessly roam the land searching for ancient and powerful relics, all so that they may restore Khoros to it's "Former glory" and gain an advantage on their enemies. A worthless effort.

Wow. You were scared to interrupt him, because this is the most he's talked to you without telling you to go away. But he's surprisingly chatty when it comes to his home-world. Maybe you can focus on that for a bit.

[Wade]: Is there a ruler or a king on your planet?

[Gorvan]: Indeed. Our planet has been ruled by the Red Wind Kingdom for many generations. They are the most powerful, so we defer to their judgement.

[Wade]: Are they good rulers?

[Gorvan]: In my opinion? Yes. Gar Red Wind made very sound judgements during the Tetramand Uprising.

[Wade]: Tetramand Uprising? What happened?

[Gorvan]: Various bands of warlords, unsatisfied with their lack of representation on the council, began attacking traders and warring over neighboring planets. They became a very big threat to the council, since they sabotaged the promises of protection that they offered to certain races. And they needed to be stopped, so the council created a weapon. They called him "D'traxus".

You're shocked that he knows who he is. Even more so that he knows how he was created!

[Wade]: What do you know about him?

[Gorvan]: I know that he was created by a group of scientists to be the perfect weapon. They used the DNA of 10 different aliens, all packed into one perfect, genetic super-baby. He developed fast, and was said to be perfect mentally and physically. But he had some...emotional issues.

[Wade]: Like he threw tantrums?

[Gorvan]: If you call devastating the Tetramand's military and crippling the council's elite guard a tantrum, then yeah. He was prone to many tantrums. He didn't see the point in serving under someone he didn't deem worthy. He developed a sense of pride that'd make the mightiest Tetramand blush, and he soon realized that no one could stop him. So the council did the only thing they could think of. They sent him to the Null Void.

You have so many questions!

NP. So long as this doesn't die off we are happy.

[Wade]: What's to the Null Void?

[Gorvan]: The Null Void is exactly what is says it is. It's empty space. An alternate dimension that was discovered by the Galvan, turned into a prison dimension for the authorities to dump their local scum. Only the biggest and baddest make it into their. And rarely anyone ever makes it out. But that all changed when they threw D'Traxus in there.

[Wade]: What'd he do?

[Gorvan]: He engineered a reverse Null Void projector that could transport anything from the Null Void to our galaxy again. He rounded up the most savage criminals in the Null Void and made them into an army that rival's even the Galactic Council's. After he learned how to leave, he started attacking several planets simultaneously. He learned how to open portals that lead anywhere in the galaxy and the Null Void.

[Wade]: He's making shortcuts.

[Gorvan]: Exactly. The council wasn't able to properly respond to him in time, so he gained a decent amount of territory in only a day. With each passing day, he gains more and more power, and I'm not sure if we'll be able to stop him if he perfects that projector of his.

This is a hard pill to swallow. You'll have to relay this information to the rest of the Wakeman's later.

[Wade]: What's this council you keep mentioning?

[Gorvan]: The United Galactic Council was made to oversee all major operations in the galaxy and maintain peace. Only certain races are granted a voice on the council, but the benefits are worth being indebted to them. They promise protection and additional trade options, which means a lot in these troubling times. But lately, they've been making rash decisions and getting desperate. They've been hiding things from other representatives and approving of secret projects. And I don't like the smell of it. Some part of me is glad that the Tetramands lost their voice in the council.

[Wade]: Speaking of, what ever happened to the Tetramands after that?

[Gorvan]: After the rebellion was crushed, Gar was criticized for his inability to prevent it from getting out of hand. And in order to protect his people, the Tetramand's became isolationists and closed off their borders. I haven't been allowed back home in years, so I have no idea what the current state of my planet is.

[Wade]: Do you ever miss it?

[Gorvan]: Never. It's much easier to live here. But I have family that lives back there, and I worry sometimes.

[Wade]: Maybe you'll be able to see them again once this whole war is over.

Gorvan smiles for the first time since you've been talking to him.

[Gorvan]: Hm. I doubt it'll end that easily, but I appreaciate it. Thanks kid.

[Wade]: No problem. Thanks for the info. I just have one favor.

[Gorvan]: What do you need?

[Wade]: Can I scan you?

[Gorvan]: Huh? Why?

[Wade]: I'm collecting DNA samples and I really think it'd be cool to have yours. I promise it won't be invasive or anything.

[Gorvan]: Well, alright. But be quick about it.

(Ending in Next Post)
>>
You tell the Omnitrix to scan Gorvan, and it repeats the same process as before.

[Omnitrix]: DNA scan complete. Tetramand DNA acquired. Storing in database.

Well that worked out well. You thank Gorvan for everything he's told you so far and you proceed to scan some more aliens. Gorvan might make a really good teacher or historian one day. But you can tell him that later.

You get a Necrofriggian, a Cerebrocrustacian, a Vulpimancer, and a...tiny red Gremlin? The Omnitrix didn't seem to know too much about the race.

You collect as many as you can, before you see the Rust Bucket roll up in the distance. Phil exits with a flashlight and rifle in hand.

[Phil]: Kids? What's going on here?

Everyone stops what they're doing and starts panicking. Guess they weren't expecting another human to show up. You're gonna have to calm them down...again.

(Session End)
(Sorry no epilogue tonight)

Thanks for Playing!
The next session will be held on Wednesday at 7pm(EST)

Let me know if there's anything that I can improve on. I love getting feedback.
>>
So far the only thing I can think of is maybe adding a vote at the end of the session so people can have something to vote on and discuss while we wait for the next update.

Other than that I can't really think of anything.

It was really enjoyable! K8-E is super cute
>>
>>3094706
I think I'll try that. I'm hoping to try and spark conversations at the end of sessions somehow, but I'm not sure how. So I'll experiment a bit.

>>3094710
Thanks for the support. I really enjoyed writing for K8-E, and hope anons don't get tired of her.

Honestly, I prefer her to Julie. But I'd hate for it to appear as if we're coming on to strong or taking advantage of her
>>
>>3095002

Well you guys will have plenty of time to meet new people and potentially befriend or romance them. Because even after you beat D'Traxus and finish your vacation, the adventure will continue in the next arc.
>>
Good quest so far, really liking it.

I prefer Oliva, but prob will be hated for that :/

I mean, it wouldn't make sense for wade to like her, but good for you I guess?

Would you guys be cool with me running on Monday at 4pm EST instead of Wednesday? I can run on Thursday and Friday at the same time as well.

Now that Grandpa’s found you, you feel like you owe him a bit of an explanation. But more than anything, these aliens need an explanation so they don’t run off screaming into the night.

[Wade]: Guys.

They aren’t listening…

[Wade]: Guys!

They all stop and look at you.

[Wade]: Chill. He’s my Grandpa, and he already knows about aliens. In fact, he’s an alien police officer. He won’t hurt you.

They become even more frantic. Maybe that was a mistake. Why are they so afraid of cops? You were just gonna tell them that he’s gonna arrest “The Grey's”.

[Phil]: Everybody calm down! I’m not here to check your Visa’s or deport you. You’re free to stay on Earth as long as you want. You can go home, but be careful to avoid the main roads and open areas. But before you leave, I’d like someone to explain to me what’s going on.

Everyone stops to listen to what he’s saying. He managed to gain control of the situation without even knowing what’s going on. He must be used to this kind of thing. You walk up to him and volunteer to clear up the situation. He simply looks at you and sighs deeply.

[Phil]: How’d I know that you kids were caught up in all this craziness?

[Wade]: You know us, we were never good at sitting still for too long.

He cracks a smile and you can see that he’s relieved to see that you’re unharmed.

[Phil]: Well? This explanation better be good.

You retell the story of how you were led to the corn fields by Alan, only to be surrounded and abducted by the fake aliens. You tell him about their involvement in the abductions and the true nature of their work. You point towards Coyote and tell him that he was the mastermind behind these abductions, but he shows signs of remission. You also mention that Coyote is a mutant that can teleport objects by touching them with his bare hands. Grandpa listens to you without interrupting even once.

[Phil]: So these guys were dressing up as aliens and abducting actual aliens? And this Coyote guy is an evil mutant that’s racist toward other mutants and aliens?

[Wade]: Right.

[Phil]: And you shut these guys down with the other kid’s help?

[Wade]: Yeah well, the other aliens helped too.

You looked back at the group of aliens and notice that a good number of them have already slipped away. These guys must really hate the authorities. You hope that none of them were actual criminals.

[Phil]: I’m gonna have to call an old contact of mine in order to get these guys picked up. We can probably grill this Coyote guy for more information to see if he’s carted anyone off-world yet.

[Wade]: Try not to treat him too poorly. I think I can cure Coyote someday. I need more information on his species if I want to cure him, and he’s willing to wait for me to find them.

(Continued in next Post)
>>
[Phil]: So he’s gonna cooperate?

[Wade]: For now at least. I don’t think he’s much of a bad guy to be honest. He’s just scared and confused. With a little bit of work, I think he can turn his life around.

You see a warm smile spread across Phil’s face.

[Phil]: If you think he’s a good guy, then I’ll trust your judgement. I’ll tell the guys at HQ to take it easy when they question him.

[Wade]: Thanks. I really appreciate it.

[Phil]: Now, what do we do about him?

He looks over to Alan. He appears to be distressed, but Olivia is helping to calm him down. She’s been explaining things to him ever since the crash. But you're gonna have to do something about his appearance.

[Phil]: You know I can't take him back to his father with him looking like a walking fireball.

What do you do?

[Wade]: I think I've got an idea.

You walk over to him and Olivia, drawing their attention.

[Wade]: Hey, how you doing?

[Alan]: Better now. Your cousin explained some things to me. Like, what it means to be a freak.

[Olivia]: Oh, come on! Do you have any idea how cool you look right now?

[Alan]: I'm pretty sure that I'm the opposite of cool right now.

[Wade]: Hey Ollie, why don't we do that meditation thing you showed me?

[Alan]: What good would that do?

[Olivia]: Just try it. It really tempers the soul and clears your mind.

[Alan]: You get that from a fortune cookie or something?

[Wade]: Just sit down and close your eyes, ok?

[Alan]: ...Fine.

All of you sit down and close your eyes. First, you show Alan how to breathe. Breathing is the most important part of meditation and yoga after all. You peek at him with one eye and see that his flames are dying down a bit.

[Wade]: How did you feel when you transformed?

[Alan]: I dunno? Angry, I guess.

[Wade]: Then think of your anger like a raging fire. You just gotta stop feeding it fuel.

[Alan]: And how do i do that?

[Olivia]: You have to detach yourself. You can't control your emotions, but you can decide when to ignore them. Picture yourself in front of the raging fire, and slowly move away from it. Move away from it, until it's a tiny flicker in the distance.

Alan begins to slow his breathing even more, and both of you do the same. You notice that the area around you is getting colder, so the both of you open one eye take a peek at him. His flames have gone down considerably, and you can see his body begin to turn a dim grey. Soon enough, you can see him changing back to his human form. His clothes are still intact too. You wonder why that is though.

Alan opens his eyes and starts inspecting himself. He jumps for joy when he sees his human hands once again.

[Alan]: It worked! I can't believe it actually worked! Thank you guys so much.

[Wade]: Hey, what are friends for?

You slowly drift over to K8-E without trying to look weird. She's been staying close to her kids ever since your grandpa showed up.

[Wade]: Hey, how you holding up?

K8-E jumps a bit when you start talking. She must be really nervous.

[K8-E]: Hey, sorry about that. I didn't expect a Plumber to show up tonight. All I could think about was my kids getting taken away from me.

[Wade]: Why would they be taken away from you?

[K8-E]: If I get put in prison for any reason, they'll most likely get placed in an orphanage. I'd probably never see them again.

[Wade]: But if you haven't done anything, then you have nothing to worry about.

She looks at you for a moment, shocked at you statement. She wasn't expecting that kind of response.

[K8-E]: You haven't met too many Plumbers have you?

[Wade]: Only like two. Why?

[K8-E]: They don't always give you your rights. At least not the ones in control of this sector. They don't see us as normal citizens. They see us as a nuisance that's distracting them from their real job.

[Wade]: Their real job? But aren't they supposed to serve and protect?

[K8-E]: Ever wonder why there aren't many Plumbers on Earth? This planet doesn't get much alien activity, so it's set as a low priority. Only a handful willingly stay here, and the others try to avoid being stationed here at all costs. And whenever they see an alien getting out of line, it's straight to Plumber HQ for them. No questions asked. I've even heard of some aliens being chucked into the Null Void as punishment. Make my skin crawl just thinking about it.

[Wade]: I guess even space cops aren't immune to corruption.

[K8-E]: Nope, but your Grandpa seems like a decent guy. Hopefully he's one of the good ones.

[Wade]: He's never done anything to make me suspect he wasn't . So I think you can rest easy.

[K8-E]: You'll have to excuse me if I'm still a bit jumpy. I'm always nervous around cops.

[Wade]: Hey, you're the fastest alien here. We probably couldn't even catch you even if we wanted to. But you're still here. I think the fact that you haven't run away shows that you aren't a bad guy.

[K8-E]: You know what they say. Running makes you look guilty. And you can't outrun the law.

After you calm down K8-E, you play with her kids for a bit and say your goodbyes.

[K8-E]: Hey! Before you leave, I wanted you to know that you can call me if you ever need help. I'll come running if you're ever in trouble.

[Wade]: Thanks. It's good to know that you've got my back.

[K8-E]: Just don't call anytime before 5pm. I still have to work and feed my kids, y'know?

You walk over to Coyote and find him patiently waiting while Grandpa keeps an eye on him. He's been placed in handcuffs that look like they're made from pure energy. Both Grandpa and Coyote stop talking as they notice you walking towards them.

[Wade]: Can I get a minute with him?

Grandpa looks to you and then to Coyote for a moment. He looks hesitant, but he agrees to give you your time to talk to Coyote. You thank him and watch him walk away from you, but he appears to be keeping an eye on Coyote from afar.

[Wade]: What were you guys talking about?

[Coyote]: He was reading me my rights and going over the procedures that the Plumbers would likely be following. He told me exactly what to say and do if I felt that my rights were being violated in any way.

You knew grandpa couldn't be bad guy!

[Wade]: That's good. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?

[Coyote]: Not at all.

[Wade]: What's your real name?

[Coyote]: I used to go by the name "Desmond Thomas". That is until it became difficult to maintain that identity.

[Wade]: What do you mean?

[Coyote]: There are people that want Desmond Thomas dead. All because of his actions as a young boy. Many people were injured, and even killed by his recklessness. It was...hard to be him. So I stopped?

[Wade]: You stopped? How do you stop being yourself?

[Coyote]: I forgot who I was and I never gave my actions a second thought. I truly became a primal beast when it came to my base desires. I blamed my terrible actions on terrible creature. I blamed it all on the "Coyote". That made living easier. For a while at least. Eventually it all caught up with me.

[Wade]: People came back looking for revenge.

[Coyote]: Precisely. I was being chased on a countrywide scale, and I was running out of places to hide. They hunted me like the beast that I was, and I deserved every ounce of their hatred. So I did the only thing I could. I left my entire identity behind. Only the Coyote would remain. I roamed the land as a feral predator in a concrete jungle, preying on whoever was unlucky enough to leave their belongings exposed. This lifestyle supported me for a while, but everything changed when I was taken.

[Wade]: You mean abducted.

[Coyote]: Right. They poked and prodded me for days on end. I probably went insane at some point. It was only because I got lucky and managed to grab the sleeve of one of my captor that I was able to free myself. I freed everyone that they had captured, and they began to follow and worship me as I were some kind of deity. It was then that a sudden realization dawned on me.

(Continued in Next Post)
>>
[Wade]: And what's that?

[Coyote]: It wasn't the human's fault that I was tortured and chased my entire life. It was my grandfather's fault. It was only because he willingly mated with my grandmother and cursed me with his retched blood. I went into a frenzy, and used my captor's technology to find and abduct any alien that I found on Earth. And my followers were more than willing to do my bidding. I reveled in my madness for many years, with no one to stop me.

[Wade]: Well, I can understand why you'd be angry at your grandfather. He should've told you that this might happen.

[Coyote]: No, you've shown me that my actions were not justified. My failures are not to be pushed onto other aliens in order to punish them. The fault is my own, and I will spend my entire life atoning for my sins.

[Wade]: I can still help you. I just need you to tell me what species your grandfather was.

[Coyote]: I do not know.

[Wade]: Your family never told you?

[Coyote]: No. I've asked my parents many times, but they were never able to provide me with sufficient answers. The only one that would know would be my grandmother.

[Wade]: Where is she? I can ask her for you.

[Coyote]: She's in a nursing home in Massachusetts. I can provide you with the address if you'd like.

[Wade]: I would. Thank you.

[Coyote]: No, thank you. I will repay you for your kindness one day. I swear it.

After a while, grandpa returns to inform you both that the Plumbers are almost here. Grandpa gives every remaining alien a chance to run before they're caught, and you see them quickly leave as instructed. You catch a glimpse of K8-E and her kids waving at you before they run off into the night.

With the address in hand, you wait in the RV with Olivia and Alan. You peek out the window to see Coyote being taken away by the authorities. You wish you could see him off in person, but Grandpa had to lie about the situation to hide your involvement in the matter. Afterward, grandpa gets back in the car and drives off. Meanwhile, Alan is trying to think of a lie to tell his father when he gets back home.

Once you pull up in Charles's driveway, you see him frowning with his arms crossed. Grandpa must have called him beforehand. All of you take a deep breath.

What do you do?

[Wade]: It's all my fault, Mr. Albright. I wanted Alan to show me the crop circles. Our phones died after we left and we lost track of time. Grandpa had to track us down.

You look back at everyone and motion for them to follow up.

[Olivia]: Yeah we heard it's not good to keep your phone in the charger all the time, so we've been leaving it out overnight.

[Alan]: I straight up forgot mine on the bed. So we kinda got unlucky.

Charles looks at all of you for a moment and then sighs.

[Charles]: You can't just run off like that without telling me. I don't care how busy I look, you tell me or you call if your're going to be late. Those are the rules.

[Alan]: I know, and I'm sorry.

[Charles]: I know you are, and that's why you're grounded for a month.

[Alan]: A month?! That's like half my summer vacation!

[Charles]: Good. Now you'll have time to think about how much you made me and Phil worry. And Phil, I owe you an apology. I thought you were giving up on looking for my son when you ran off like that.

[Phil]: Hey, you've always looked after my grand-kids. Just thought I'd return the favor for once.

They smile and give each other a warm hug before they look back to you.

[Charles]: You can stay the night. But, I don't want any of you getting into anymore trouble, you hear?

[Olivia]: Loud and clear!

Alan shows you and Olivia to your rooms and then leaves for his. You hope he doesn't get into too much trouble over this whole alien business. Just then, Alan texts you a message, thanking you and your cousin for stepping forward and taking the blame.

You lay down on your bed and slowly close your eyes.

When you open them, you are surrounded by a strange purple forest. It reminds you of the campsite from last week. When you turn around, you see a young woman with red hair and very beautiful features. But she looks old enough to be your mom. She's sitting down near the campfire, smiling at you.

You decide to sit down on a log directly across from her. She continues to stare at you and smile.

[Wade]: Is this a dream?

[???]: Sure. If that's easier for you to understand. Let's call it a dream.

[Wade]: Ok? So where are we?

[???]: Think of it as a safe space in the back of your mind. No one can interrupt us here.

[Wade]: Have we met before?

[Wade]: How do you know him?

Her smile looks much more sorrowful for a moment, but she quickly recovers.

[Wade]: You were lovers? I thought he died a few decades ago. How old are you?

[???]: Much older than you'd think. Don't let my appearance fool you.

You try no to dwell on the matter for too long and move on to your next question.

[Wade]: Where'd you get the watch? Did you make it?

[???]: Oh heavens no! I borrowed it.

[Wade]: You stole it?!

[???]: Well that crotchety old frog wasn't doing anything with it, so I thought he wouldn't mind if I took it.

[Wade]: I don't know what any of that means!

She clutches your hands tightly. When did she get so close? You could've sworn you were looking right at her.

She then moves your hand to her face. What's happening?!

You've gotta let her down easy.

[Wade]: I'm flattered, but I already have someone that I like.

Her face drops the moment you reject her.

[???]: Is there something wrong with me?

[Wade]: What? God, no. You're beautiful, but I'm not the man you lost. I'm not Max, I'm just me. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love, but they'll always be with you in your memories and in your heart.

She leans to the side and starts to sob uncontrollably. A wave of guilt washes over you, and you lean over to comfort her.

[???]: I don't want memories...

[Wade]: Huh?

[???]: I WANT MAX!!!

Her eyes begin to glow and she slowly peels her skin off, revealing purple woman with flowing purple hair underneath. She looks a lot more abstract than she did before. This starting to become a nightmare!

[Wade]: Can we at least be friends?

[???]: This is my fault. I'm so stupid! I shouldn't have left the decision up to you.

[Wade]: Well I can't date you if I don't feel the same way about you!

[???]: You will grow to love me. Someday...

She begins to smile once more.

[???]: On your 16th birthday, I will come for you. That should give you a sufficient amount of time to prepare for me. Say your goodbyes, because I will finally make you fulfill your promise to take me to the stars.

[Wade]: Wait! Hold on a second-

[???]: Goodbye, my love...

A bright light blinds you, forcing you to close your eyes. When you open them again, it's morning. Was that all really just a dream? You really hope it is, because your birthday isn't too far away from today.

You can't shake the weird feeling that dream gave you. You walk downstairs and ask both Olivia and Grandpa if you can talk to them in private. They give you a concerned look, but they agree to come with you anyway.

[Olivia]: What happened? Another close encounter of the freaky kind?

[Wade]: Kinda, but I don't know if she was an alien or not. She visited me in my dreams and asked me about my life. It was nice for a while, but then she started calling me Max and she tried to kiss me.

Phil looks very distressed after hearing that.

[Phil]: I swear if she laid hands on you...

[Wade]: She didn't. I told her I wasn't interested, but that only made her angry. She tore her skin off and became some purple glowing thing. I think she might be dangerous.

[Olivia]: If she can go all Freddy Kruger on you then yeah, she's probably very dangerous.

[Phil]: I've never heard of anything like that in my entire life. And you're saying she knew you were made from Max's DNA?

[Wade]: Yeah. She said that she's been watching me my whole life and that she knows everything about me. She said that I look and act like Max. I'm not a clone right?

[Phil]: No, you're not. It's true that you act like him sometimes, but there are some things that are different about you. I mean sure, you inherited his sense of taste, his taste in music and probably some other things, but that's not the point! The point is, your similarities and your differences from Max are what makes you unique. Max was the best guy I ever knew, and to be compared to a guy like him is an honor if you ask me.

You smile at your grandpa and calm down a bit.

[Phil]: No matter what you do, I'll always be proud to call myself your Grandpa.

[Wade]: Thanks grandpa. I really needed to hear that.

[Phil]: No problem. And hey! Maybe she'll leave you alone from now on.

Your smile drops after you remember what she told you.

[Wade]: That's just it. She told me that she'd come back on my 16th birthday to take me away.

Both Phil and Olivia's eyes go wide and they look to each other for a moment.

[Olivia]: That's only a few weeks away from now.

[Phil]: The 27th of July right?

[Wade]: Yeah, and I think I'll need your help. I don't know if I'll be able to beat her alone.

[Phil]: Hey, what's family for?

You can't believe how well they're taking this! You must have the coolest family in the world.

[Wade]: And one more thing.

[Phil]: Shoot.

[Wade]: I think she's the one who gave me the watch.

After you tell your Grandpa that she gave you the watch, he goes quiet. All of you return to the table and eat your breakfast in silence. You start to worry that you said something that you shouldn't have. After saying your goodbyes and thanking the Albright's for their hospitality, you're back on the road again.

[Olivia]: He's barely said a word since we've left. Should we do something?

[Wade]: Maybe he's upset with me. I never told him about her giving me the watch.

[Olivia]: Heck, I wouldn't either. It sounds like a fever dream. He might've just thought you were crazy. I know I would've if you hadn't shown me that watch.

Your shoulders droop and you look to the floor for a moment. Olivia notices this and puts a hand over your shoulder.

[Olivia]: Just give him some time to think. He's not wearing his angry face right now. He's wearing his deep-thinking face. I'm sure he's trying to come up with a plan to beat that creepy purple woman or something.

[Wade]: Yeah...you're probably right.

It's a long way to South Carolina from here. About 2 hours in fact. What do you do in the meantime?

You find a secluded forested area and open up your watch. You saved the fish guy for last because he didn't exactly pique your interest. But you might as well see what he can do.

[Wade]: Please don't be lame, please don't be lame...

You swallow hard and slam down on your watch. A purple flash envelops you and you can feel your body quickly growing. Your skin feels tougher, your muscles feel tougher and you are now able to see in multiple directions. You can feel a pair of gills on the side of your meaty neck, but you aren't choking or anything. How convenient. The heat does feel a bit unbearable though.

You examine yourself to see that your arms look like they contain sharp blades. Your teeth are jagged and are most likely very strong. You have fins on your head that appear to be able to sense air currents. Maybe they can do more than that?

You start to wonder what this guy does, but your base instincts suddenly kick in. You start to spin incredibly fast, kicking up dust and debris around you! That was kinda fun!

You spin around some more, but you never get dizzy. Maybe it's these multiple eyes aiding your sense of balance. You accidentally slam into a tree and start to to feel bad...for the tree that is! You completely obliterated that tree! And you barely even felt it. You're like a shark version of the Tasmanian Devil or something. It's a bit jarring to have 360 degree vision though.

After experimenting with your powers for a bit, you realize that you can create wind vortexes in you spin fast enough. That'll be useful for later. You aren't as quick as Bloodrush or K8-E, but you are definitely faster than most cars. You think that you'll call this guy "Spin Cycle". He surprisingly not lame for a fish guy.

After timing out, you decide to wait for your watch to recharge so you can mess with it for a bit.

You mess with your watch for a bit to unlock more of it's secrets, but you don't find anything out of the ordinary. And the Omnitrix appears to react to your meddling.

[Omnitrix]: Congratulations. You have used every starter alien. Additional options will be available from this point on.

Huh? Additional options? Does that mean that you're getting new aliens?!

You open up the watch and look around, but you don't see any new guys. You wonder when you'll be getting them. Maybe it's all progression based?

>Congratulations. You have now unlocked the ability to acquire additional aliens! They will be randomly awarded to you via the new malfunction system. Your watch will now malfunction every now and again, giving you the wrong alien. Stay on your toes!

After you return to the RV, Phil calls you to meet him in the front.

[Phil]: Wade, we need to talk.

You're a bit worried about what he's going to say, but you can handle it!

Meanwhile...

It's been a few days since Kevin's been at the Plumber academy. It was deemed to be too dangerous for him to stay at HQ, but the fact that Koba lied to Phil gave him a bit of anxiety. He's currently sitting at a metal table recounting the details of his capture.

[Koba]: Can I get you some water?

[Kevin]: You don't have to play nice. I'll tell you what you want to know.

[Koba]: Well if we're cutting to the chase, let's get the big questions out of the way.

[Kevin]: Go for it. The quicker we get this over with, the quicker I can get back to Earth.

[Koba]: You'll be able to see your new friends soon enough, but I need you to stay focused. What's the name of the organization that captured you?

[Kevin]: I only heard bits and pieces of what the guards would say, but there was one doctor who would come and visit me every now and again. Her name was Holiday. Dr. Rebecca Holiday. I swear, she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen.

Kevin starts to look starry-eyed.

[Koba]: You're getting sidetracked here Kevin.

[Kevin]: I was getting to that. She would come talk to me whenever she could, and she told me a little bit about the guys that captured me. She called them "Providence".

[Koba]: Providence, huh? Tell me everything you know about them.

[Kevin]: On one condition. That woman I told you about, leave her out of this.

[Koba]: I'll try my best not to drag her through the mud.

[Kevin]: You have to promise!

[Koba]: ...Fine. I promise.

Kevin and Koba briefly shake hands.

[Koba]: Now, onto the rest. Tell me everything.

Kevin just nods.

(Session End)

Thanks for Playing!

I'll be running again on Thursday and Friday at 4pm EST.
What's your favorite alien so far?
Any questions?

Huge fan of Zipmunk. Also like Snotrocket and Bloodrush. Also really curious how exactly Verdona found out about us. Can't wait to see what aliens we unlock.

Honestly I can't wait till we get older and end up saving the universe, and our adventures are serialized into a TV show and idolized by aliens making Earth into a prime destination for Aliens. What do you think are the chances we have buddy cop adventures if we join the plumbers?
>>
>>3108023
Very high. There will be different professions and adventures available to you depending on who you decide to join and what you decide to do with your future. Becoming a Plumber is one of them.
>>
>>3108241
Awesome. But our legend would grow regardless of what path we took right? Like say we decide to just be a freelancing type of dude, saving aliens a majority of the time, would we have like, fans and stuff? Like how in Omniverse Ben has his own show using his likeness?

I just wanna make alien kids happy man... I had a hard time moving to a new town these niggas gotta move to a whole new PLANET.

Sorry that I missed your post my man, but yeah you will have a great deal of popularity. Once you become famous, you will have a whole new set of perks and problems to deal with. This ranges from posers, scam artists, adoring fans, stalkers and full blown super-villains. The list goes on and on. Your popularity will also be dependent on the decisions you make and how you decide to represent yourself. Whether it be as a masked vigilante or a public superhero is completely up to you guys. If people feel as if they can trust you and look up to you as a role model, your popularity will increase. And how you behave when all of the attention is on you will impact their opinion of you.

>>3108785
And thanks for posting the new thread here. I really appreciate it.
