Out of all of the bizarre occurrences that you had experienced in life, never did you think that the afterlife would count as one of them. It was a void of purple and black, midnight and dusk. That was a fact of this realm, and you were the only thing that existed within it.

You turned your head and then your body in an attempt to gain a better idea of your surroundings, to no effect. Everything remained as it had been when you first came there. You could not describe it as still, nor could you say that the void moved.

It was all so terribly confusing.

Then you looked down, examining your barely corporeal body and came to realize something. Your soul was in the form of your stand, and your stand was...

Mandom. That was the form that your soul had taken, with its pin-cushion like head situated between its metallic shoulders, resembling a 'ring', its body ending in multiple tendrils. It was your best way of maintaining the path to the True Man's World, but now that you thought about it. What was it? You could feel more and more of yourself slipping away by the second. You needed a watch, but there were none to be found in this void.

Then, you had suddenly found yourself in a corridor made of the very same void. You knew that somehow, this void had shaped itself down into a corridor. You saw the light that came at the end of the corridor, which sharpened your focus, even as your mind nearly deteriorated into the nothing that was your stand's personality. With a lurch, you threw yourself down the corridor and before you understood it, you were flying down it, desperately trying to reach the light at the end.

You found it, and it had lead to a white hallway with multiple doors, each shaped and colored differently.

You would have to go through one of these doors to reach the True Man's World, whatever that had been.

Which door did you go through?

Either Fate or Violet Evergarden. If this one wins out I want to be the first to say we need to be a better papa to Mordred.

Xenoblade, there's no mistaking it, though what being living on the Mechonis we will incarnate into is uncertain.

You found one of your tendrils loosely wrapping around the carved handle of the brick door, feeling it, before more tendrils began to join it. This door, there was something worthy of showing the True Man's World behind it. Without hesitation, you slammed into the brick door, your metallic shoulders clanging loudly as the door flew into itself. There was a void beyond the door, one different than the void of the afterlife, but a void nonetheless. You let go of the door, and you were soon swept up by an unseen current that carried you into the depths of a new void.

You were met by a light at the end of the void, and then you saw it more clearly. It was bright light that burned even your many strange pin-like eyes before it had ceased. Then you saw who it was that you had been bound to, and everything flooded back into you. Your name was Ringo Roadagain, but you were also Mandom, the manifestation of the True Man's World. You knew what that path lead to, and had followed it regardless, and it seemed that person that you had latched onto was on the verge of going down this very same path you had.

The person who you were now bound to was a kid, but his eyes were as sharp as razors, with a face that seemed to naturally grimace, as if it had seen the world and was perpetually disgusted by it. He held a knife in one hand, blood dripping off of the curved blade and onto the bleak cobblestone beneath his feet. There was a body in front of him, wearing an unfamiliar uniform, but one that seemed to distinctly scream a lack of good taste to you.

Then he turned, his eyes widening beneath his dark hair. To his eternal credit, he quickly turned the blade towards you and attempted to stab you, only for it to pass through your body.

He quickly regained his footing, the ground beneath him cracking as strands of rubble flew upwards, before he was in front of you again.

"What the hell're you!?"

How did you respond to this demand?

>You have seen the path, haven't you?

>I am your Stand, and I am here to guide you through the laws of Man.

This is a spin off quest that Stando is running to warm up for mainline SQR. After this quest finishes in about a week or two in an ideal world SQR would return two weeks after that. I understand what you are feeling man, I have been waiting to dump my thoughts on the nature of the vampire cult Toga is a part of for months now.

Also I am almost positive the meat in a jar is saint flesh, the reason Stando presented the option to put either the meatball or the skull on the spear is because it would have made the Spear into a compass for either corpse parts or Nomu, with the downside the the flesh spear being that the saint flesh would be absorbed into the body of the first person stabbed with the spear. The rabbit dream was literally the saint flesh trying to tell Deku that it was saint flesh. Deku having a feeling of being drawn into the manor basement and getting a hint about the location of the other corpse parts without touching any corpse parts all but confirms that he has corpse cells in him. The dream also hinted to the fact that all of the corpse parts are currently in the possession of one person or another. I also think that the rabbit in the dream was a subtle hint that Miruko has a corpse part. If she does have a corpse part it's probably Jesus' hip bones.

In addition, I have a comprehensive theory about the relationship between All for One and Jesus based entirely on this image, but that will have to wait for a proper SQR thread.

"I am Mandom. I will show you the True Man's World." You said to the boy, whose brow furrowed upon hearing your words, as his eyes narrowed in suspicion. Little did the boy know that he was already walking upon its treacherous path, given the still wet knife in his hand and the body at his feet. He looked up into the dark, cavernous roof that served as a sky in this place you had found yourself in, and then he brought his attention over to his knife.

"What sorta ghost-momma name's their kid Mandom?" That was his response after a brief moment of deliberation, before he brought the pommel of his knife to his forehead, lightly tapping it as if he just remembered something of great importance to him.

"Right, sorry. Forgot 'bout what Gramps told me, but seeing as your the first thing or person I saw that didn't treat me like the shit 'neath their heels, I'll go 'head and introduce myself." The Kid said, before he turned his gaze towards you, his eyes sharper than razors, now that you could look at them.

"The name's Kenny. Nothin' else." He told you, but you knew that he was hiding something from you. But you figured that the two of you would eventually get along, and that he'd share much more about himself. With a swift kick that sent the corpse flying into a pile of refuse, Kenny exited from the alleyway, with you following along by his shoulder. He looked on in wonder as nobody in the bustling streets of the Underground even bothered to look at you in particular. Sure, there were some who looked at him, but those were mostly the people who got in his way and moved aside with not even an apology.

But that was how life seemed to be down there. Before long, Kenny turned a corner into another alleyway, and then another corner into an abandoned house that had only a curtain for a door. With a sigh, the boy sat down on a crate and looked up at you.

"Mind tellin' me what you exactly are?"

What did you tell him?

>You told him that you were a stand, an innate ability unlocked through certain situations and that he gained you because he was on the path to the True Man's World

Kenny?! Jesus, we're up shit creek, huh?
>>
>>4341584
Japanese Christians think Jesus lived the rest of his days post crucifixion in Japan. The pic is of his "burial site." I assume since this says jesus had a brother, that anon is drawing the connection between AfO and the First OfA user.

The idea is that when Jesus came to Japan he befriended a young AfO and they became "brothers" in a more philosophical sense rather than a biological one. AfO would then travel with JC as the 13th disciple. Being the first of Jesus' students AfO or Isukiri as originally named was given much greater insight into Jesus thoughts and ideas.

Isukiri knew about the crucifixion way before Jesus told the other disciples did. Fearing for his master's life he tried to substitute his place on the cross only for Jesus to switch places with him and undergo what was originally philosophized. Isukiri feeling disapired after Jesus' death returned to Japan after receiving one of Jesus' ears making him the first human to ever have a corpse part.

Isukiri would live out the rest of his life in Japan never knowing that Jesus was resurrected 3 days later. After his natural death Isukiri would observe the evolution of mankind from the afterlife. As the world descended into the vice and decadence of the modern era, Isukiri became disgusted with humanity. Eventually he had seen enough and reincarnated into the world so he could cleanse mankind of it's sin. And the rest is history

It's clear that the goal of All for One is to collect the corpse parts to resurrect Jesus. In his mind any cost of human death and suffering is acceptable to complete this goal. Only when Jesus returns to redeem mankind will human life have any importance.

That being said I think he does have a sympathy for good natured people. Kyudai Garaki was trying wholeheartedly to warn everyone about the dangers of the quirk singularity and watching him being cast out for daring to question the grain of medical science probably reminded him a lot of Jesus in his younger days. Giga was probably just a peaceful giant living out in the woods somewhere untainted by the sins of man for thousands of years. Inko explains herself.

Doc and Giga became dangerous because AfO taught them about the wickedness of mankind, once they realized humans couldn't be saved then they willingly became tools for AfO's plans, doing everything in their power to see his goals realized no matter how destructive and inhumane their actions would be.

If you were truly Ringo, then you would have required a watch or some sort of time keeping device in order to demonstrate your ability. However, the only true thing that remained of him within you was his experience in gunplay and the knowledge that he had of the world. In truth, you were more Mandom than you were Ringo. He knew that the ability to rewind time was an ability that could be triggered through the mind, but he never had the will to do so. Ringo was a man who lived a life of High Honor and duels that either bettered him or in the end, killed him. Such was the True Man's World. So with only a thought, you activated your ability.

Kenny pushed aside the curtain, already halfway into the house before he froze. He then shook his head, leaving the doorway open as he again sat down onto a crate. He looked up at you, his eyes narrowed again.

"Mind tellin' me what you exactly are?"

Kenny pushed aside the curtain, not even in the house before he growled, turning and trying to stab you again with his knife. It phased through your body, and soon he joined it, tumbling into a wall, half catching himself with his foot before he lost his balance and fell onto a pile of boards. With a small groan, he got up and entered the house, sitting down on the crate again.

"Ya know, what yer doin' ain't 'xactly explainin' what ya are or anythin' of the sort." The boy grumbled, shaking his head in consternation, his long black hair flinging itself into his eye. He blinked without amusement, before he turned to you.

"Sorry about that, Kid. Just showed you my ability. Rewound time, that's all there is to it." You explained, your voice sounding eerie to your ears, as if the sound had been made through the fluttering of a thousand fly wings.

Kenny only blinked at your explanation, before he fell over laughing, rolling around on the ground and making a mess of the place, not that it was clean to begin with. He stopped, his head pivoting up, his massive grin gleaming in the dark house, before he finally got up and sat himself on the crate.

He was about to speak, before his face suddenly changed, his eyes glinting with a hint of excitement and fear, his grin shrinking. He quickly kicked himself off of the crate as it exploded, the smell of black powder rank in his nose, and a smell that you were well familiar with. You turned, seeing a tall thin man with a large wide brimmed hat, resembling a typical cattle rustler in his getup. He put down his gun, a flintlock musket of all things and adjusted his necktie.

"Ackerman. You've got some 'splainin' to do."

What did you do?

"Joseph, ya son of a gun." Kenny's self assured grin grew wider as he quickly got up onto his feet, knife already bared. His voice was filled with the kind of mirth you had never heard of, at least before becoming bound to another on the road to the True Man's World.

"Son of a gun? Me? Ackerman, you piece of shit. Normally, I'd give you a chance to explain yourself, but knowing what you did this time..." The Gunslinger's voice was even, not even betraying the tumultuous rage that twitching of his lower lip could tell you. His eyes were shadowed by the brim of his large hat, the dim lighting outside in the alleyway doing much to obscure many of his features.

"Don't be like that Old Man. Ya knew she was in the Military Police, she knew what she was gettin' herself into." Kenny said, his crooked grin widening even further, cutting his face in two. "'Course, it's a waste, knowing who she's related to, but you kn-" His eyes briefly widened as he ducked to the side, a large caliber bullet slamming into wall behind him. That shot had been dodged, and would have hit him in the chest had he not leaned to the side. As primitive as the firearm was, you had to admire this Joseph's sharpshooting.

"Time for talk's over. Now it ends." Joseph's gravelly voice echoed throughout the abandoned house, pulling out another flintlock pistol from his coat, this one double barreled. You floated over to Kenny's side, and said your piece. "Enter the True Man's World Kenny. Kill this man without my assistance." He snorted at this, further infuriating Joseph, for his hand holding the pistol began to shake.

"Nah. It's just beginnin'!" Kenny laughed, lunging himself towards Joseph. In one stride, he leaned to the side, dodging another shot, and then in the next, he was already up in Joseph's face, past his firing hand. His knife shined in the darkness as it flew into Joseph's neck, practically decapitating the man. The dead man's head flew backwards, hanging on by a scrap of flesh as his body fell over.

"Well shit. I knew the Old Man wasn't the only bartender 'round these parts, but he was the best." Kenny surmised, before he sighed. It seemed as if he didn't need any help entering the True Man's World at all.

"Welcome to the True Man's World."

"This sorta shit happens in the True Man's World?"

--------------------------------

Time flew by after that first encounter, and soon Kenny had left that part of the Underground city that seemed to be large enough to be a capital given how it was.

How did you pass through the time with Kenny?

Kenny looked down at the guns you had him loot from the still warm body of Joseph, and he lifted his head to look at you with a questioning look. You nodded or gave him the best approximation of a nod you could. Without a word between the two of you, Kenny exited from that alleyway and back into the streets of the Underground, as the area was colloquially known. He entered a local goods store and traded the musket for powder and balls. The shopkeeper knew that the rifle belonged to Joseph, but traded for it anyways, as the Underground was place much like the west when you were still mindless.

BANG.

Kenny suddenly jolted up from his chair, a hand lifting your pauldron which had shielded his face as a covering for when he slept. He walked outside of the abandoned home he squatted in, for there were many in the Underground, and saw what had happened. There was a man on the floor, his fingers still twitching over a half held flintlock pistol, his gurgled cries filling the air. A crowd rapidly gathered around the scene, preventing either you or Kenny from looking closely, but he sent you to look at it in his stead. You crawled along the ground with your many tendrils, trailing up the shoulders of several people like a snail, before you traveled along their heads into the clearing that had formed in the middle.

A duel had occurred there, that you knew. You saw the culprit, and he looked to be a worthy opponent. He relatively short, but he had a notable hat on, a black female hat with a white ring around its crown. A strange choice for any gunslinger that you knew of, but that was that. His iron, a finely crafted pistol with a hexagonal barrel that glimmered like the stars above, which Kenny surprisingly knew of.

You returned to Kenny and told him of what had occurred, and...

>You urged him to go out and have a duel with that man

>You urged him to stay put, as members of the Military Police, your Host's apparent enemy would likely be there

>You did nothing else, watching over him as he fell back asleep

A weird factoid about nasal breathing is that certain branches of Indian mysticism see it as the intended way for humans to breathe, and by using it in certain breathing exercises you can harvest a form of energy energy from called Prana which is said to revitalize the body. Sounds a lot like Hamon doesn't it?

When you look in the right places you can find sources to various ideas present in Jojo in occult philosophies from around the world. But that realization raises the immediate question of why Araki would know all of those things in the first place. If his seemingly eternal youth is anything to go by I think Araki knows way more than he lets on.

You instead returned to the scene of the duel, the crowd already beginning to disperse, as if such an event was commonplace. Much to Kenny's dismay, the Corpse had already been picked clean by the urchins that managed to sneak themselves into the crowd, likely making off with enough to feed themselves for a week judging from the number of people that clustered together, forming a nice long barricade, normally preventing others from looking in. But you were able to climb through by your being, as you were the only Stand among the group. These urchins must have been adept at slinking through large gatherings like these. However, they hadn't touched his gun, which pleased Kenny the most out of all.

He could always kill for money, but weapons such as firearms were expensive, that you knew from both experience in the other world and experience in this world, given the number of balls and the amount of powder you gained just by trading in that one rifle. The loser's pistol was comically a very well crafted dueling pistol, that had likely been in the hands of an incompetent man.

As you inspected the man's wounds, you saw that he had taken the blow in the sternum which penetrated into his spine and through it, judging from the nigh instantaneous falling of the man. Then you looked over the victor from your position, carefully scooping his pistol into your mass of tentacles as it seemingly vanished from his coat. The Victor was a man with a keen eye and a steady yet lightning-like hand that could fire as quickly as he could aim. What a deadly combination. Ringo would have loved to duel against this man, albeit he'd use a flintlock like the man had been using to even the duel. This man had truly entered the True Man's World.

Returning to Kenny, you dropped the loaded pistol into his hand, his mild grin widening as he saw it. He then slowly got up, the pistol in hand as he made for the door.

From your mild connection, you could sense that he was feeling the same blend of excitement and fear as Ringo did whenever he engaged in a duel, although Kenny's was far more intense.

"Remember to reload all of your pistols." You told him, your tendrils wrapped around his shoulder much like you did with Ringo, to his mild annoyance. "Remember to take in a single breath before shooting, and to read your opponent's gun."

"Yeah yeah. Got it." He then stopped and opened up his trench coat, counting his pistols, including the one that you recently pilfered from the man who was destroyed by the True Man's World. You removed two flintlocks, one a singleshot pistol and the other a doubleshot, both from Joseph and began to reload them with your tendrils. You returned them to their place in his coat, before Kenny closed it, shoving his pistol into one of its pockets for easy access as he began to walk off into the crowd, one hand in his pocket, around the pistol and the other around his wallet, which was more of a metal tin with money inside.

Money that he gained from the corpses of the Military Police that had tried to apprehend him in the weeks after the death of Joseph. You used that time to teach him some of Ringo's gun slinging skills. Although it seems that Kenny's world is more primitive, the firearms available still used black powder, and in spite of the lack of six shooting revolvers, the concepts of shooting remained overall the same. He had shot 30 members of the Military Police to death, and used their funds to buy more balls and powder, which were quickly used up in practice. It seemed that his constant shooting, combined with the underground nature of the Underground and the smell of smoke had driven the denizens of the Underground into their own sort of madness.

Now, even bartenders who usually kept a single firearm for self defense often illegally kept multiple smaller guns beneath the counter, and the gangs of the below Underground had started to upgrade their arsenal. No longer did they only use knives, having adopted the usage of small .50 caliber pistols for their close encounters with one another.

You watched as Kenny walked up to the door of the Military Police Station in the Underground, a relatively clean building in comparison to the rest of the Underground. It was still absolutely filthy when compared to the Stations above in Wall Sina, as Kenny had told you in the few times he went up to the surface, mostly to speak with his Grandfather and to find any members of the Ackerman clan that had survived the prosecution of his kind.

Before he entered the Station, you had a chance to tell him something.

What did you tell him?

>"You're now walking in the True Man's World kid, it's do or die from here on out."

>"Make sure that you learn from these duels this time."

The body is its own weapon. It needs maintenance just like your guns and knives do. "For what purpose?" You asked rather simply, Kenny's mouth turning into a grin. He only replied with a single word. "Watch."

He kicked in the door to the station, wood splintering from the force as it flew off of its hinges and slammed straight into the stone floor of the station. Inside were two members of the Military Police, the two of them seeming to have been playing cards before Kenny interrupted them. One of them, a short blond looked up from his set of cards, his mouth agape before Kenny quickly withdrew his hand from his pocket, pistol in hand. He fired, his aim true as the bullet slammed through the Officer's' mouth, coming through the back of his neck as he fell over, his blood splattering all over the felt lined table they had used for their game.

"What the!?" The other officer quickly shouted, before he got up, kicking his chair over as he fumbled with the musket that was kept on the side. Kenny took in a breath and shot him dead in the middle of his neck with his flintlock pistol, the man weakly gurgling as he fell over his own rifle. Kenny passed both of the used flintlocks to you as you quickly removed a powder horn from Kenny's coat along with a bag full of lead balls, reloading his pistols with utmost speed with several tentacles while the rest of them had latched onto Kenny's shoulder like an arm brace. He walked past the main room and down one of the hallways, muttering about something that you didn't quite catch.

He then stopped before a door before he braced his shoulder against it, the very same shoulder with you on it. You handed him his reloaded flintlocks back, and braced yourself as he pushed into the door, the hinges breaking as it fell over again. Kenny entered and pulled open several drawers, starting to look through.

You remained on his shoulder, your head facing the door.

"What the fuck are ya doin'? Help me with this shit!" Kenny grunted as he seemed to look over multiple files with a worrying amount of speed.

In the end, you decided to...

If he's too slow then all it takes is a few seconds for someone to pull off a shot to end his life. If you die then there's no amount of time rewinding that'll fix that.

"What do you need help looking for?" You asked whilst still keeping an eye behind Kenny's back. You were met by only the shuffling of papers until he answered you.

"Just look for any files with the name 'Ackerman', will ya?" You obliged him, your gaze now focused on the cabinets as the mass of tentacles that was your lower body moved at once. Opening multiple cabinets, with each given the attention of one of your many eyes, you continued to search through the vast multitude of files, which were simply pieces of stiffened paper that separated the multitude of paper in between each. You pulled out many, read them then dispensed them as the two of you continued. Eventually, Kenny found what he had been looking for, as he let out a sound that resembled half a purr and half a snort. He picked out the sheaf of paper, folding it in half as he handed it off to you.

You quickly slipped the slip into one of the coat's pockets, before the two of you were interrupted by the sound of running feet. Kenny pulled out a pistol, hiding behind the desk while you sat on top of it, invisible to all but him. You were to serve as his eyes. The moment you saw the Officer enter the doorframe, Kenny immediately brought up his pistol over the table and shot him dead in the sternum.

The Officer gurgled as he fell over, another voice, female, crying out their name, followed by the gasps of several others.

There seemed to be quite a few Military Police converging on this location.

It was only a matter of time before they entered the room, much like their unfortunate compatriot had.

What did you do?

Ringo said he could rewind time up to six seconds, but was that really his limit? Could we do it as far as the moment he shot the officer in this room? If we could we can save time by immediately picking the files, grabbing the dead man's gun, then leaving.

I have reason to believe that Mandom has the potential to rewind time up to a full 10 seconds. The reason I think this is because of Star Platinum and The World. If both of those stands were able to pause time for 10 seconds and still have such high physical stats than it would make perfect sense that a Stand that sacrificed it's ability to physically attack would be able to get a better time-based ability that can be used for the same amount of time.

Kenny was back in front of the cabinet, his hands frozen as he slowly turned his head towards you with a grimace on his face.

"The next time ya do somethin' like that, let me know." He said, before he returned and picked up the very same sheaf of paper that he had four seconds in the future. He folded it in half and immediately rushed out of the room and into the room adjacent to it, opening the door and closing it quietly before the Official even got to the Office.

There in the room, Kenny let out a breath of relief, before he slowly began to remove his knife from within his coat. He observed it underneath the dim light of the room, giving it a flick on the side.

"I'd really like to use my knife." Kenny said, as he slowly rose up from his seat. "In fact, I'm gonna use my knife." He kicked open the door, startling the Guard who did not even have the time to bring his musket up, Kenny immediately past his arms with his knife cutting through his throat. He ran down the hall, finding the female official, whose appearance you could not quite discern. She was soon red and on the floor alongside her companion.

Your current Host was a whirling dervish of a blade, spinning and slitting the throats of the Military Police within the Station. Within three minutes, it was emptied of life, with Kenny flicking the blood off of his blade with a satisfied sigh. This seemed to be a hobby of his, killing specifically, for that was all that he knew. Ringo's hobby was much the same, albeit in a more dignified matter, but you could not judge him for it.

Soon the two of you had exited from the station and Kenny made his way to another safe house in a different part of Underground. He seemed to have quite a lot of them for his age.

Over the next week, you...

The next week was relatively uneventful, at least according to your standards, but to Kenny, it was an incredibly eventful week. For the specific paper that had been taken from the Station was a document detailing the currently known locations of the 'Ackerman' clan, the very same that Kenny was a part of. Apparently this clan was heavily persecuted under the order of the King. You didn't even know that the Walls had a monarch until now, something that Kenny specifically neglected to tell you for some reason. You understood, given the precarious nature of his position as a member of said clan, but he needed to learn that as his stand, no one but him or other stand users could understand you, or even comprehend your existence.

You spent half of the week hammering in this concept into his mind, and even still, Kenny was a paranoid wreck of a person when you looked past his confident and self assured exterior. You could tell that he desperately hoped that he was walking in the True Man's World, and was beginning to hold its ideals more often than naught.

One day in particular, he met with a military officer and dueled with him in public. It was a fair duel, where Kenny rightfully pointed out his lack of proper aim, but commended his will to kill him. He was shot dead, but you could tell no matter how paltry the gain was, Kenny had improved by a slight amount. On a more amusing note, or an annoying one according to your Host, the news tabloids in Wall Sina spun ghastly tales of him, calling him 'Kenny the Mad Gunman', claiming that he went on a shooting spree in the Underground, killing hundreds. The numbers were not only inflated, but the victims were inaccurate. He had only shot up a Military Police Station, and he didn't even shoot that many.

He killed the rest with a knife as you could attest.

In the end, the paper you gained gave Kenny several clues as the whereabouts of the rest of the Ackerman clan, with mentions of a branch family moving South, albeit it didn't quite have the information he was looking for in specific.

Kenny was seeking his sister.

You suggested that he...

>Could continue searching for his Sister through raids on the Military Police

I like the idea of raiding another police station, but not so much the additional attention it would bring on him. For that I suggest moving away from Kenny to personally look for the folder while he hides somewhere nearby. This way he's less likely to be found, and wont bring additional heat on his sister if he ever finds her.

"You could search for her through the word of mouth." You suggested, Kenny giving you an incredulous gaze before he thought it over in his mind. Then he sighed, longingly looking at his knife and his guns, before he set them down on the crate that served as a table in the safe house.

"Ya know, I'd have preferred violence, but your way is probably better." Kenny acceded to your suggestion, as he rose and placed all of his guns back into his coat, giving his knife a quick flick with his finger, placing back into the small strip of leather that served as a holder. He got up from his chair and exited from the safe-house, beginning to trawl past establishments. Of course, you'd have to find a place to start the search, which you left to Kenny as you went over his weaponry within his coat. Emerging from it, you found that he had decided to start his search in a barbershop of all places. The kid certainly was obsessed with his knives and blood.

He stopped in front of the counter, asking if the Barber knew about anyone by the name of Ackermann. He made a sour face before stating that he didn't, and suggested to Kenny for him to never come back to his establishment. Kenny challenged him to a duel and won. The Barber was now six feet under the ground, but that still left you with almost no leads, along with a dead barber of all things.

Eventually he found himself in a Bar in his wanderings, got himself a drink and asked the patrons about an Ackermann. The name Ackermann was passed along the entire bar, whose population consisted of drunkards and goers who frequented the whorehouses of the Underground. Eventually some drunken patron let loose some words about an 'Olympia' whose last name was Ackermann, complimenting her ass.

Kenny left the bar soon after, seeking out the closest Whorehouse, eventually finding Olympia. He soon stood before her room, ready to enter.

Discovering his sister and her state of pregnancy, which Kenny advised against, put him into a sort of fugue. He departed from the establishment, hands over his guns already.

You knew what he was going to do, so you...

>Advised him to keep his ire on the Military Police

>Advised him to use his anger to keep engaging in duels to better himself

>Advised him not to do what he was thinking, and to seek out the truth behind the original persecution of the Ackermann family

"Calm yourself boy." You said, floating by Kenny's shoulder. The boy's grimace did not lessen, as his eyes turned to yours with a manic gleam to them. "What do ya think I'm gonna do?" He asked, his voice filled with murder.

"You're going to get into a fight Kenny." You replied, Kenny pausing before he corrected you. "Not gonna fight, I'm gonna kill those Military Police bastards, then those fuckin' nobles on top of them." You did not need to think over his response, given that you had expected it from Kenny.

"How? Do you think that you could really fight off the entirety of the Military Police with only myself and your skills?" You asked to which Kenny's face turned. He was thinking over your question, and judging from the look on his face, he thought he could. "While our power may be enough, think of the rest of your clan."

"Do you think that they'd escape from the wrath of the Government?" Kenny's face remained blank. There was an awkward silence between the two of you, broken by the sound of Kenny's lips smacking together irreverently. His cold gaze settled onto your own, and the very sight of it tested your resolve. But your will was iron, for Ringo walked the True Man's World, a road which led to his death no matter what he did.

"So tell me.. What should I do?" He asked, voice quiet like a single drop of water. "First, you need to discover the secret behind the Ackerman's prosecution. Once we find out the truth, we can do what we must from there on out." He snorted in reply. "Sure. Just give me a moment here. Gonna need a stiff drink for this." He said, rising from his seat, a large stone block that jutted out from the floor of the Underground. He soon entered the local saloon and ended up drinking three bottles of beer, and by the time he exited from it, he was too drunk to even get up and do what he had promised. So you waited until the next day, reminded him of his quest, to which he said he remembered even when it was clear that he had forgotten it in his drunken haze.

"Mandom, if we're gonna discover the reason why the Ackermann clan had been persecuted, to the point where there are only a handful of us left, then we have three choices." He said, wiping down his gun with a napkin. "One, we can go to my Gramps who probably knows everything about it." He then spit on his other pistol, and began to wipe that down too.

"Two. We can go on a murder spree 'till we find out the truth." He said as he began to clean out the barrels of both guns, letting the built up ash and grime flow into a sewer grate. "Or three, we can try and infiltrate the Government's institutions and find out from there."

For a moment, you were silent, your many eyes looking straight into the eyes of your host. Kenny's face had the same expression for about four seconds, before he sighed and placed his hands over his face. "Yeah, that was stupid of me."

"I suspect that you have some reservations about your grandfather." You began, Kenny's head immediately shooting up at the mention of his grandfather. "Nah, nah. I have no reservation's about him. It's just that I'm not sure if he'll even tell us." Why would his Grandfather never tell him. Kenny caught onto your questioning, and so he told you.

"Ya see, my Gramps was the first generation of Ackermann that was born in the walls. The walls were built when his pa was around. The codger's been silent about us Ackermann's ever since the persecution. I doubt he'd tell us, even if we asked." Kenny said, before he shook his head. "I suppose it's worth a try."

"Right, so that narrows our choices down to one and two. 'Cause number three is retarded now that you reminded of it. 'Course the Government'd know about me, 'specially since they've got those stories defamin' me. Not that they're wrong." That explained much of his thinking behind why he even brought up Option 3 in the first place. "Why not try?" You asked him. Kenny's eyes narrowed at your suggestion. He got up from his impromptu chair, grumbling to himself as he exited from the alleyway and began the trek up to the surface. The path was surprisingly not arduous, but the process of doing so was. For one, Kenny had to disguise his face, and he did this through buying a woman's hat at a Hatter's store. The duelist must have affected him more than you thought he did. Now with a hat that covered his quite noticeable hair, Kenny walked up one of the streets that led to the entrance to the Underground, then took a detour to the left and walked down another street.

He was relatively unmolested, even as he rose from one of the downwards staircases that led to the Underground. Mitras was a beautiful city, resembling one of the paintings of Vienna that Ringo once saw in the past. It was the capital city of the Walls as Kenny had told you, and the fact that the Ackermanns still lived in the Capital city in spite of their prosecution shocked you. You knew that if President Valentine had been the one to persecute the Ackermanns, they would have all been purged like the Indians in a fortnight. Even when you met with a member of the Secret Service, you could feel the presence of Valentine speaking through him.

Although you were both thankfully far away from wherever the President was now, you still felt uneasy even as Kenny knocked on the small door to the apartments once, the door opening to reveal a decrepit ancient man whose gnarled hand beckoned for Kenny to enter. He did so, and the two of you were soon in front of the aged wooden door that would lead to his Grandfather.

It smelled of oil and medicine.

Before Kenny entered his Grandfather's room, you simply patted him on the back with five tentacles that approximated a hand. Kenny bristled for a moment, then relaxed. With those same five tentacles, you quietly secured a pistol, and pulled it up your mass, hiding it from the world. That was in the case that the Military Police would be so foolish as to attempt to ambush him while he spoke. The apartment smelled of medicine and musk, which only intensified as Kenny entered his Grandfather's room. He kept on that faux joy of his that was always meant to throw off anyone who spoke to him, even as he greeted his grandfather.

"Yo, Gramps. It's been a while hasn't it?" There was an old man on a bed by the window, a relatively comfortable place all things considered. The truth of the matter was that Kenny only spent a minimum amount of time in the Underground, mostly to practice with his gun or his knife, but he lived with his Grandfather to take care of him. You were often inactive during such a time, much to Kenny's consternation, as he had said to you, he would have loved it if you helped him around the house. But that was a part of the path to the True Man's World you told him, to which he said "That's a whole loada shit if I ever heard of it."

"Kenny? Is that you?" The Grandfather coughed, a dry sound that echoed throughout the room. "Oi. Old man. Have you been takin' your meds?" Kenny asked, his easy-going nature faltering for a moment. "Of course I have.. Just let an Old Man collect himself for a moment." The Grandfather said, sinking even deeper into his mattress.

What did you do the in meanwhile that they recollected?

You let them speak with each other like they usually did, as Grandfather and Grandson. From what brief snippets you heard, it seemed that Kenny's Grandfather greatly disapproved of his activities. You do not know the reason why he did, but it likely had something to do with his age. At the corner of one of your eyes, you caught a suspicious figure dressed in a trenchcoat and woman's hat that stood outside of the door. You let Kenny know of it, and he sighed, gently fluffing his Grandfather's pillow before he told him that he'd be back in a moment. The figure outside ended up being a member of the military police, and there were others along with them, snooping around the area.

They were now six feet under the ground, feeding the trees. Kenny had help from the landowner with his shovel when it came to burying them. Kenny returned to his Grandfather's room, his trenchcoat covered in splotches in blood. Now that they had spoken with one another in a casual way, you reminded Kenny of the reason why he came to his Grandfather to speak once more.

"So Gramps, do ya know the reason why we Ackermanns are persecuted within the walls?" Kenny asked, to his Grandfather's silence. You could not glean anything from his blank look, and neither could Kenny. "C'mon, fess up. You're dyin' right? Why don't ya tell the story to your cute lil' grandson before you join our ancestors."

"What cute grandson? The very same who has become the terror of the Capital city, the 'Mad Gunman'?" The old Ackermann said, Kenny's easy smile remaining even as his grandfather said that. "C'moooooon. That description ain't fair. I've only just shot a couple a guys, no big problem for those shit-filled nobles up in the city. What, they can't take hearing a lil' gunfire every now and then?" Kenny's Grandfather chuckled at this, his voice aged and weary as he slowly began to rise from his resting position to an upright one.

"I know that we Ackermanns used to be in real tight with the royal family. What happened Gramps? The hell did ya do to piss the King off so much?" Kenny asked irreverently. "It's not that the King was angry with us." The Old Ackermann finally said after a while of silence, looking dead into the eyes of his Grandchild.

"It's just that they were afraid of us, because the Ackermann clan could not be controlled by them. But it's true that our family was once the King's sword and one of their most vital allies." The old man coughed for a moment, before he continued. "I personally don't know all there is to know, because I was born after the walls rose, however, the King passes down the Power of the Titans from generation to generation." Kenny looked to be in contemplation for a moment.

>>
>>4351028
"Huh? What's this Power of the Titans?" He asked. "It is an immense power that the royal family possesses, and the First King used it to alter all of humanity's memories and make them entirely forget the past. Save for a few bloodlines, who were sworn to secrecy and made nobility. Among them were two groups that turned their back on the king. The Oriental clan and the Ackermann clan." Kenny's eyes narrowed.

"Hence the persecution." The old man nodded, ending with a single sentence. "What a dreadful story." He began to cough, and quickly returned to his resting position. Kenny looked up at you, before his gaze turned to his grandfather.

"It ain't the kind of story you wanna hear on your own deathbed but... I found my little sister. Kuchel's been working at a whorehouse in Underground. Got pregnant by one of her customers, and she wants to have it. Wouldn't listen to me 'bout getting rid of it." Kenny sighed, leaning into his chair, his Grandfather's face peaceful in spite of the story that Kenny told. He seemed to be asleep.

Kenny remained in the chair for a while, sitting there with his sleeping Grandfather.

Later that day, his Grandfather had passed away. Kenny took to burying his Grandfather himself, and attended the funeral service himself.

You later told Kenny to...

>Seek out the truth, find the King and duel him for the sake of his family's honor

>Seek out the truth, no matter the cost

>Put it all behind him and spend time with what little of his clan that existed

That piece of royal police worm food was able to tail you all the way here Kenny. If they have the brain cells for lateral thinking, then they'll understand that you care for your family. That means what Ackerman's are left are gonna be targeted. We're gonna need to nip this in the bud, and soon before the rest of your clan get involved. Especially your sister.
What will become of your grandfather's home? Will you and your sister inherit it now?

Considering the quantity of people we've killed, and the money earned from pawning all the weapons, gear, & outfits from the secret police to the underground you should have more than enough currency for... well. You can probably give some to your sister so she doesn't have to whore herself out for a while and raid a library.

You later told Kenny to seek out the truth behind the matter, no matter how high the cost might be. He took to this piece of advice like a man possessed, exploring the dark places of Underground Mitras, getting into all sorts of encounters. From duels with shadowed members of the Military Police, to shootouts with the various roving gangs in that place.

There were many areas that Kenny searched, but it seemed as if he wasn't making any progress at all.

"Seek the King of the Walls, Kenny. If anything, that should lead us to the crux of the matter." You said to Kenny whilst he cleaned his knife off of the blood of one of his victims, a Captain in the Military Police. He spoke while he continued to clean his knife.

"And what? Stuff his head so full of shit it blows up? Not gonna lie, that sound's pretty good to me." Kenny grinned as he rose from his impromptu chair, a crate in one of the docks of Mitras. He broke it with a kick, speeding off until he reached a familiar location, at least one familiar to you. Kenny had spent the last several days scoping out this location, skulking in the shadows much like a rat. It was an estate belonging to a wealthy merchant from within the walls. He would likely have many of the connections needed to get into the Royal Palace, or the knowledge needed for the search for truth. Either would have been a great boon for the two of you.

But Kenny wanted to get your opinion before he committed to raiding the estate of such a wealthy merchant, for that would put definitely elevate his importance to the Military Police and everything else.

You found that breaking into the Estate would be an...

You found that breaking into the Estate would be a good way to start off the search for the King. You gave Kenny your approval of his plan, and reminded him to remain focused on the task as he quickly hopped over one of the walls and into the Estate. You found that it was a massive place, for the mansion that likely held the information that you needed was quite a distance away from the outside gate. Kenny had landed into a bush that had naturally grown at the edge of said walls, the interior of the Estate consisting mostly of flat plains perfect for agriculture and riding. There would likely be workers on the Estate itself, which meant that stealth would be important to this mission.

Kenny made a solemn oath, or as solemn of an oath he could make, that he would behave himself inside of the Estate. You knew that if the cards came down that Kenny would not hesitate massacring the entire population of the Estate, along with the guards and the entire Merchant's family for both a laugh and to silence any potential witnesses. You needed to plot a path through the Estate in order to actually get into the mansion.

The two of you plotted for a while, still hidden within the bushes before Kenny rose from it, looking as inconspicuous as he could with his trenchcoat held tight and his woman's hat pulled down low. If anyone saw him, they'd think that he was just a member of the Military police.

You planned a path to the manor that started with...

>The vineyard, which was what made up the large majority of the crop that grew in the Estate, a place to sneak through that would directly lead to the Manor itself

>The Garden, a large series of trimmed hedges and pretty trees that would inevitably lead to the Manor, although the path to it would be convoluted, providing many more opportunities to hide oneself

>The Stables which was a small bit away from the Manor itself, a place full of well-bred horses that would likely kick up a fuss, but in the end, it would provide the quickest path to the cellar entrance of the Manor

Through the Vineyard
>>
>>4354084
The Vineyard in of itself took up a large majority of the estate, a great tangle of grapevine and wood. The key point of interest was not its size, as curious as it may have been, but was in fact its position. All paths in the Vineyard inevitably led to the wine cellar, which was located a short distance away from the manor. In fact, it may as well have been a direct path to the Manor itself. That was the reason why Kenny had entered it from one of the far edges, and slowly made his way towards the other end, where in lied the Manor. There were places to hide within the Vineyard, but not as many as there would of been had you gone to through the Garden, although that path would have been perhaps too difficult for even Kenny to traverse.

The upper class always had their eccentricities, you knew that the President was obsessed with displays of his power and often raved about America and the constitution, and you figured that the Merchant was the same, save that his interest lied in suitably arcane hedge mazes. Nevertheless, Kenny rapidly progressed through the Vineyard, having not even once been confronted by a worker, for it was not harvesting season, and so there were not that many needed in the Vineyards. Still, when he did find one, they were often so far ahead that Kenny merely had to duck beneath the vines and crawl. They were perhaps a bit too focused on tending to the grape vines.

Kenny snickered at their expense the moment he entered one of the sheds near the Wine Cellar, which was close to the Manor itself. It was a quiet place, and it was unlikely that any worker would even enter.

In that shed, the two of you continued your planning, and decided that...

>A more direct approach would be better, going through the front door, killing the Guards in gunfire before finding what information you could and burning the place down

>A continued approach like this would be good, as you would have all the time needed to find the information needed

"Whew, and I thought you were full a shit when you said that bein' stealthy without killin' anything would be effective." Kenny smiled as he leaned back into the wooden wall. He used some crate of tools as stool, like he usually did whenever he traveled. "You thought that?" You asked, somewhat confused, only for Kenny to chuckle into his arm. He rose from his chair and opened the shed door, exiting it and carefully opened up the doors to the Manor Cellar, creeping into the darkness like a shade. Kenny, as loud as he usually preferred to be, was an eerie figure whenever he got quiet, becoming a ghost much like that still uncaught Jack the Ripper in London.

He traveled through the dark recesses of the Cellar, a cold place built of stone and used to house fine vintages that the Merchant would have likely preferred to keep beneath their house, rather than the much larger Wine Cellar on the outside. Eventually he rose from the steps into the halls of the Manor, a place that was annoyingly lit up by the multiple fine clear windows that let the light in. Thankfully, there were no maids nor any other serving staff that would have likely come to check on the Cellar by the time Kenny rose up, so he quickly skittered off like a rat.

Soon the two of you were in a single hallway that lead to the Merchant's office and likely sleeping quarters. There were still a strange lack of serving staff in the Manor, for even if there was at least one member active, they should have been around the Office, tidying it up. But there was nobody there.

"Place gives me the creeps." Kenny muttered as he walked down the hallway, turning to occasionally glower at an old painting of one of the Merchant's ancestors. There were pots and various vases of fine ceramic decorating the corners of the hallway, and five doors in particular that interested you.

There was of course, the door that was likely his Office, the door that likely led to a room dedicated to serving Guests, a door that definitely led to a private kitchen close by the Merchant's office according to Kenny's sense of smell, a door that led deeper into a basement of some kind, given the smell of dew and mold, and a door that likely led to a small spare room.

"Something ain't right about that basement." Kenny whispered to himself as he approached the door that smelled of Mildew. You could do nothing to dissuade him from his current course of action, nor did you want to. The placement of the door suggested that this basement was built entirely separate from the large cellar that made up the majority of the Manor's basement. Why would a section of it be built far away from the rest of it? It just didn't make any sense. Kenny found the door tightly locked, nothing that you could not fix after shoving one of your tentacles into the keyhole. You fumbled around until you heard a click, and then Kenny carefully opened the door, closing it behind him as he descended down the stairs to the basement.

The atmosphere changed the moment he took his first step down the stairwell, as the finely crafted walls of the manor gave way to a more rough, ancient construction, of limestone smoothed to the point where nary a groove remained on its surface, nor any hint of fossil at that. The smell of the dampness intensified, and as Kenny descended the final steps to the smooth limestone floor of the basement, all was revealed. It seemed that the Manor led to great cavern structure beneath. Kenny took a step forwards, before he slipped with a 'WAHOO!', stopping as his boots slammed into a boulder of limestone. Past the boulder, a small peninsula of limestone jutted out from the stone shoreline of what must have been a tremendous lake.

It glowed with colors of cyan and blue.

The cause of the glowing became clear, as Kenny looked upwards and beheld the strange worms that were phosphorescent with an eerie light blue color that even shined into the lake, which was full of fish the likes of which neither of you had ever seen before. You knew that limestone formations were possible, and in the past, Ringo's travels had brought him to Zion where he found a strange location, a cave of limestone that eventually lead to a Devil's Palm, as he later came to know of it. You were formed within him from that time he spent surviving its horrid embrace. But this was a different sort of cave, one that would not lead anywhere, but one that was nonetheless formed over the course of millions of years.

Kenny seemed to be awestruck at this discovery, his eyes still stuck on the ceiling.

In the end, you decided to explore the Cavern while Kenny, who pulled his hat over his eyes, took a quick nap on the limestone boulder that jutted out from the smooth cavern floor. As you slid across the Cavern, you came to an odd revelation. That boulder was the only one in the entirety of the Cavern, and what was more, it was the only piece of stone in the Cavern that had not been polished. No matter where you looked, or where you crept, the walls, the great cragged ceiling and the floor was all smoothed down. It still had the same dips and rises that the Cavern originally had when it was formed, but it was all entirely too smooth. What was this place? Why did it exist here out of all places?

Something brushed against one of your tentacles, and you lifted it to see what it was. It seemed to be a broken knob of stone, perhaps carved of shale or basalt. Curious, you began to stretch out your multiple tentacles, fanning them out along the floor as you began sift through the remains of what had appeared to be multiple stone objects, all of them smashed mostly into gravel. You slowly rose from your flat position on the floor, rapidly crawling back to Kenny. Ignoring him for the time being, what with him being asleep, you crept around the boulder, feeling multiple indents into its surface. These were queer indents, for they had been purposefully ground into the stone, and each had notches around the brim of each indent, sharply depressing into the stone.

You soon came to a terrible revelation. These indents were shaped to fit a human face, although you had no idea what the notches were for. Perhaps they once held chains or ropes to bind people into those depressions in that boulder. Putting your theories aside, you...

You left Kenny to his nap, choosing to move beside him, past the boulder and towards the peninsula of rock that jutted out of the water. The closer you got to the peninsula, and by extension, the edge of the limestone before the lake, the water seemed to become more phosphorescent. The ceiling above the pool was smoothed out, but was filled to the brim with strange strands of silk or slime that glowed in the darkness. There were spots of blue light shining above, and as you began to explore the peninsula, you came to realize that the lake did not entirely glow by the ceiling of the eldritch, phosphorescent creatures that clung to the wet limestone above.

It glowed from all life within its expanse, the teeming otherworldly fish, slim like a finger but without any other discernible details glowed, as did the clumps of moss that grew on the sides of the peninsula, along with the scum at the bottom of the lake, illuminating the bottom. The peninsula itself was not noteworthy, nor did it have any indication of it being supernaturally made. The only thing that interested you were the lines of colored chalk that were present in the middle of the peninsula, leading to its very tip. These lines were upon closer inspection, not only marked with chalk, but were also grooves in the very peninsula itself. It all seemed to lead to the very tip of it, with markings made halfway through that would have specifically called anyone's attention to the tip of the peninsula.

Reaching it, there was nothing ahead of you save for more of that odd glowing water, but then you looked beneath at the water the tip seemed to indicate towards. Down in the depths of the lake, indicated by the faint glowing beneath, was a great hole made at the bottom of the lake, perhaps leading to some place.

There was a choice in front of you. To further explore the cavern, or to dive into the depths of the lake and into the underwater tunnel below.

Which choice did you take?

This right here, this is why we love the Pillar Men. To most people it seems like the main reason we like the Pillar Men is because we want fondle the horns and cum on the abs of Aztec Vampire Amazons. That is part of the reason. But there is a greater reason, there is a certain 'gravity' carried by a being that has watched the passing of generations from the sidelines, shaping the future while humans scurry about living thier short, feeble little lives. Even when you don't encounter them directly when you as a mortal find some ancient remnant of thier actions you can feel that weight bearing down on you. It feels like a silent declaration of "I was here before you, and I'll be here after you are gone." It gets me man. We are wandering through the former domain of something so beyond mortality that it boggles the mind. To human beings this place is sacred, a place of unimaginable significance that astounds the senses of every mortal that enters. To a Pillar Man this is place is tool that has served it's purpose, discarded since it's usefulness has been outlived. That's one of the reasons why I'm so excited to see the Pillar Men and the things they left behind in mainline SQR. That weight being all the more componded by those who have the blood of those eldritch gods running through thier veins, feeling the traces of thier ancestors through every pore in thier body as they survey what once thier birthright. The stories of Santana and Kars feel incomplete. Esidisi was destroyed in a battle of the mind, bested by one who eqauled him in tactical accumen. Whammu died a warrior's death, leaving the world with dignity, utterly content with his fate. The fates of the lowest and highest of the immortals feel lacking, the weakest imprisoned by humans and the greatest banished to the stars. It feels right to imagine one day they would both break free from the stone that trapped them and bestride the world anew.

It was almost as if the very waters called to you, much like they did back in Zion. But this was different. You knew that there wasn't supposed to be anything strange in this world other than the Titans. But you were evidently wrong. You just needed to look deeper into the world, beneath the veneer of normality everyone had in the Underground and in Wall Sina.

You knew that you had a maximum range, but you never had the opportunity to exactly measure it. You supposed that this was a way to put it to the test. Without any reservations, you quickly slid into the water, the disturbance in formerly still lake stirring the life into a frenzy. They all swam towards the surface, a host of eerie fish that lied within the strange lake beneath the Estate, beneath the normal world. As you sank deeper into the pit, you truly saw how the fish were up close, swimming by you without paying any mind. They were creatures the likes of which you had never seen before, not in the memoirs of shipwrecked sailors, not in the recollections of the divers who dwelt within the ocean with their state of the art equipment.

These organisms had evolved in this cave, as was postulated by Charles Darwin 3 years after your birth. Not that you read his book, but the highly controversial idea of evolution was still popular enough for you to understand its most basic theory. Eventually you reached the entrance of the tunnel and swam through its long, winding reaches through the utilization of your tentacles as propellers.

Then you began to rise as the end of the tunnel came near, before you emerged from the waters. You had swum up into a small pool of water into a large chamber of limestone, clearly worked by some manner of metal tool. That was the only way that you could explain the place, as there were ridges of stone that resembled veins that all stretched towards the center of the chamber, wherein lied a great pillar of limestone that reached up into the gigantic ceiling above.

In the center of it was an exceedingly well made statue of a person, their eyes closed, their expression neutral. They had three small horns upon their forehead, and long flowing hair that melted into the stone. There were empty depressions by the statue, the very same that had taken the shape of a person's face. The pillar emitted such a foreboding aura that if you were still a person, then you would have found yourself shaking uncontrollably.

Was this what this manor was hiding? You wondered for a moment, before you came to a decision...

MHA spoilers are out. As expected Stando's return is an omen for based chapters ahead.
Giga crushes Mt. Lady's fucking leg and tosses her aside like a piece of garbage, she didn't even pose a mild inconvenience to the living calamity. Midnight dies, her last words are to Momo, the only girl with titties as large as hers. Redestro and Edgeshot begin the definite duel between STR and DEX to determine which stat is the objective best. Cemetoss and Geten face off to see who is the better wall boy. The chapter ends with 1A facing down the advancing horde of Liberation Soldiers. It's time, everyone. Just as the Pillar Men are put in the spotlight the based Moth rampage chapter begins to creep over the horizon. You can't make this shit up.

Oh well, I guess we'll die. It's crazy we got a revelation this fucking huge so up front like this but this is a one off so It makes sense that Stando isn't pulling any punches. The Devil spoken of in the tale of Ymir is obviously Kars in this timeline, why he would teach Ymir how to use her spine worm powers is beyond me, but fuck it, it's cool.

If you need your autistic sppech fix wegot this absolute beast of a monologe deconstructing Mineta's motivations in Ushi quest, the anon who posted it even said it was something that SQR Deku would say. Sadly Present Mic didn't feel comfortable with Ushi doing her best President Valentine impression but it's still good.

>Is this truly what you have centered your whole mortal existence on? Your dreams and aspirations are all bound within the framework of gross material pleasure. What will be left for you once you have attained that pleasure and realized the brief jolt of Dopamine is only slightly different than jacking off? What will you do when that hollowness comes over you realizing that your entire life has been focused on a brief and fleeting sensation of ecstasy that gives you nothing after the fact? You have become so enraptured in the acquisition of intimidate satisfaction that you have lost sight of what really matters in life. I pity creatures like you, so enraptured in the hunt that you hardly notice yourself starving and withering away on the inside. Be honest with me Mineta, do you truly have any comradery with any of us? Do you even care about 'Justice' or serving your countrymen? Would you ever put yourself in harm's way if it meant protecting anyone but yourself? If one of us died would you even care? Or is it that your mind is so overflowing with carnal urges that there is not the faintest ember of your 'Humanity' remaining. Be honest Mineta, if you could get laid whenever you wanted would you even have a reason to 'Live'.

Classic Deku monologe right here and it's not even from our quest.

This chamber was old, immeasurably so. You had no doubt that the Merchant's family, which was of nobility, the very same that could not be affected by the Founding Titan's ability had discovered this place rather than carved it out. But why did they desecrate this resting place so? From what little you remembered of Old Martin, that anthropologist, had gone to an expedition in South America in search of a missing link between the man and ape. But he found the ancient burial chamber of an pre-Mayan king whose burial mask was carved of stone. His remains were surrounded by multiple masks, which corresponded with that you saw of the statue.

It seemed to be an immeasurably old epitaph of a kind, realistic above all. That was your conclusion as you explored the cave, noticing the multiple branching channels that all seemed to stem from the Pillar in the center. Just as you were about to leave, you heard a disturbance in the water. You turned to look at the pool, and its surface reminded you of boiling water. There was more foam and bubbles than there was water, and then it exploded into fish. A vast school of the strange fish all flung themselves into the chamber, slamming against the limestone walls, splattering into gore. Gore which rather quickly began to slide down the carved limestone walls of the chamber, the viscera and blood pooling into the channels present on the floor.

Then the impossible happened. In front of your very eyes no less, the blood began to flow towards the middle, forming a pool around the pillar which suddenly pulsed, the veins of stone turning red as it began to suck up the viscera and blood. The statue seemed to grow more life-like, its stone skin beginning to fade away into the flesh of a healthy person!?

This being, no, this pillar man lurched forwards, his arms stuck to the pillar by those same stone veins, before his musculature shifted. He somehow performed a majestic dove pose as he fell from the pillar, falling what must have been 40 feet and slammed against the limestone floor without any visible damage.

You decided to...

I don't care if we are probably going to die. I want to talk to the ancestor of a penis-melting moth girl even if he's a version from another universe. Imagine the lore hints we could get out of this, while not everything could be directly applicable there could be some similarities that we could trace for mainline SQR. We've already made so many important discoveries.

Pillar men almost universally prefer natral caves as thier lairs, Santana was the only one to break that trend but he was a fucking loser that hung around humans too much. The wildlife surrounding a pillar man lair is usually mutated with flesh buds being a natural part of thier brain structure. These animals will either serve as direct guardians of the lair or as a source of blood to awaken the Pillar Man when an intruder enters so they don't have a chance to attack them while they are dormant. A trend that Santana being the fucking aspergic oddball he is decided to abandon in favor of having a group of Aztec Warriors empowered by the stone masks gaurd his sleeping ground, a decision that became very inconvenient when the spanish gave the entire civilization a bad case of the sniffles. If Santana decided to go full retard and make his elite gaurd all female than not only would his first layer of defense be killed off by disease, his second layer would be having thier brown vampire pussies colonized by spanish missionaries. Tldr Santana is the lowest ranked pillar man for a reason.

God bless those glorious Spanish bastards, they knew what humanity wanted and struck the deliciously tanned iron from behind while it was hot.

CALL OUT TO THE MAN

>>4359813
Two pages full of anecdotes and key points, which is big because I tend not to pre-write at all.
>>
>>4359820
The man slowly rose to his feet, which were bare. In fact, the man seemed to be completely naked, save for a loincloth that was likely made of cotton from its color. You remained as still as a statue, before you remembered that you were a stand. The man immediately took a single step forward, only to slip on the remaining viscera which was absorbed into his flesh like a sponge with water, falling flat onto the ground. You approached the Pillar Man, and saw that you were mistaken. What you thought was a third horn must have been in fact a particularly small stalactite. He only had the two horns around his head, located somewhere in his hair.

For some reason that you could not comprehend, you decided to call out to the figure.

"Hello sir! What is it your doing?" You felt Kenny stir from his slumber, but the man did not react to your voice. His head slowly turned towards your direction, looking through you and at the wall behind of you. He slowly rose from the floor, sniffing the air like a dog. He began to scratch his body much like a monkey did, sniffing himself and contorting his arms into positions that should have been impossible.

He bent his arm out of its socket to scratch his lower back, before he suddenly stopped and moved his arm to the side to scratch his back like any other person. He was certainly no worse for the damage he must have incurred upon himself. You then felt Kenny stir through your connection, and you were immediately recalled. You had no idea why he had done that, but when you reappeared at his, you knew the reason why.

Kenny's knife was out within a moment and flew towards the Merchant who had ran down the stairs into this room. You heard him breath, the noise unlike any you had heard in this world as he glowed in a rainbow of colors, as if he had shined sunlight through a crystal prism. His hand flew forward and batted the knife, sending it rocketing towards Kenny, whose instincts saved him as he ducked to the side, the knife embedding itself into the boulder behind him. The blade glowed with an earthly light, arcs of golden electricity sparking from its hilt.

Appearing upon this fight, you...

"Kenny! We've stumbled onto something big! I don't know if we can handle it, and I don't want to stick around long enough to find out!" You cried out, Kenny's face quickly turning towards you with a grimace. His fist came up to catch the glowing punch that came his way. The moment the two came into contact, you felt a shock travel up your entire body, and from what you saw, Kenny hadn't fared any better. His left eye twitched rapidly as his strength failed, the back of his own hand slamming into his cheek as he flew backwards onto the limestone floor. The force emitted by such a blow would have been enough to snap the wrist of any ordinary man, along with fracturing the cheekbone, but Kenny was not ordinary.

"GYAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" Kenny shouted, exaggerating the amount of pain he felt as he purposefully tumbled as he fell, landing flat onto his back, his hat floating down onto his face. With his hat obscuring his face, you briefly phased through the hat, Kenny's unamused face looking up at you.

"What do ya mean by somethin' big? Ya mean somethin' I can't kill with just my knives or my guns like a titan?" He asked. "Something like that. While I'm not sure if it's a Titan, I'm absolutely sure that our weapons will do nothing to it." You knew that from your fighter's instinct, the very same one that had guided you along the True Man's World.

"You buffoon! You absolute cretin! Why would you even come down to this place!?" The Merchant shouted at Kenny. It was as if he knew that Kenny was only feigning his injuries. With a grumble, Kenny quickly rose up, one hand moving his hat back onto his scalp as he yawned. The Merchant, who was noticeably muscular in spite of his profession and social standing, was absolutely livid. His black and white checkered hat did nothing to obscure his rage, his blonde eyebrows furrowed on his forehead, his teeth grinding under his chiseled chin.

"Do you have any idea what you could have unleashed onto this world!?" He asked, his voice having now calmed significantly. Kenny quickly got up onto his feet, slowly circling the Merchant. "Don't know what yer talkin' about, but it sure sounds dangerous. Also it's probably loose." Kenny's loose lips drastically changed the Merchant's behavior, as his angered face suddenly paled as he looked past Kenny and at the lake, the glow of which had decreased noticeably.

>>4360061
"Oh no. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" He screamed aloud, before he was suddenly before Kenny, his fist extended with his pinky pointing out, exhaling as it slammed into Kenny's diaphragm. Kenny coughed, spluttering as saliva and blood flew out of his mouth, a testament to the strength of the Merchant. Kenny collapsed onto the floor, taking in an odd breath, the strange noise sounding once again as Kenny mildly sparkled.

"What.. The fuck... Did ya... Do to me... Ya shit-filled Merchant?" Kenny rasped, still on the floor. "I have given you, a common criminal, the technique of my forefathers. Your Ripple is weak, but it will have to do now." The Merchant said, bracing himself as he raised a bottle of wine menacingly. Kenny, to his eternal credit, sighed and embraced the bizarre change of priorities, rolling onto his stomach as you felt him growing better by the second. He quickly hopped up onto his feet, still sparkling.

"What ya taught me looks weird, but it sure makes me feel great!" Kenny smiled, turning on a heel towards the pool whose surface began to shake. "By the way, ain't it a bit rude to shove your stick into a guy's stomach without tellin' him your name?" The Merchant slightly flustered before he answered.

"Antonio Mario Zeppeli." He said, before he cried out. "Brace yourself!"

The water burst upwards into the cavern surface like a geyser as an incredibly muscular figure flew out from the lake, arms outstretched like a bastardized cross. The Pillar Man landed onto the balls of his feet, his arms out from his sides.

The Pillar Man was standing menacingly at the very end of the Peninsula, the Merchant Zeppeli apparently taught Kenny some sort of ancient breathing technique if his altered breathing was any indication of his ability, and you were very confused.

"Kenny, you should ask Zeppeli what he knows of that thing. Else, ask him for any advice he has for using this technique of his. Remember, this is fight should be done with your all." You told Kenny, to which he grunted in agreement. He turned his head to look at Zeppeli, shouting to him.

"Hey Zeppeli, you know what this thing is?" Zeppeli did not turn, instead replying curtly. "I will tell you later. But first, we must drive this thing off." Zeppeli took in another deep breath, his body glowing brightly in a menagerie of various colors as he quickly pointed the bottle of wine, cork end towards the man like a gun. The cork suddenly shot out from the wine bottle, along with a stream of wine and bubbles, smashing into the Pillar Man's right pectoral. The thing flew against it, air visibly turning as it pushed against a barrier of flesh, not even denting it in as the Pillar Man's flesh seemed to deflect the power of the glowing cork, the air visibly rippling around the point of contact.

"Of course the cork would be a poor conductor for the Ripple." Zeppeli sighed, lifting the bottle up as to prevent it from spilling any more of its contents. The Pillar Man glared at the two, conspicuously incapable of seeing you. That was a good sign that it was not a stand user. He slowly bent over, picking up the cork with two fingers, the rippling in the air intensifying before he dropped it, his fingers noticeably glowing the same color as molten metal.

"Hamon..." The Pillar Man said, the word foreign but the language absolutely recognizable. He was speaking in the same language as Kenny and Zeppeli! "What the fuck." Kenny said, dumbfounded, before he shook his head. "Zeppeli, before we die and all, can I ask ya how I use this technique?" Zeppeli turned, his gaze unamused.

"Just breathe the same way that you are, and that is it. It will naturally channel towards whatever object you are holding." Zeppeli explained. The Pillar Human began to approach the two of you, leaping into the air, arms outstretched to maximize the area of contact. Kenny breathed in the same way as he had, quickly tossing the knife towards the Pillar Man. The blade glowed as it penetrated the Pillar Man's shoulder, the wound glowing and melting like it had before. The Pillar Man immediately fell over, crashing into the ground. Its arm had been dismembered from the force of Kenny's throw, which when combined with the Ripple Energy quickly destabilized the shoulder area, melting a great cavity into the Pillar Man's side.

Yet he got up, slowly onto his feet much to Kenny and Zeppeli's shock. The arm on the floor began to twitch, before it slammed its palm into the floor, launching itself up into the Pillar Man's exposed socket. Within seconds, muscle reconnected the two parts together, a large chunk of flesh spat out from the wound, landing on the floor. That was the semi-melted chunk that had been affected by the ripple energy.

You decided to...

Are you suggesting that Kirishima's dad fucked a rock human?
>>
>>4361603
I was just trying to show more lore form the new chapter to prove it was legit but now that you mention it, it seems like it would make a lot more sense that his Mom would be the rock human rather than his dad being Giga since unless the girl he was fucking had an enlargement or flexibility quirk they would die. But that would mean that Kirishima is a guaranteed stand user. I wonder what he thinks about King Crimson? He probably noticed Dark Shadow react to KC as well. I'm very interested to see where he fits into SQR since he has a lot more going on than he did in the canon. Does he know that he can't have kids with Humans or Pillar Men? If Tooru knew what the pillar men are than does he also know what they are? Has Kirishima been aware of Mina's ancestry the entire time and just never told anyone? Is there a chance that he actually told her about it up front and she already knows the lore of her species? Is that why they are friends, because they both know they aren't human and hang out because they have a mutual alienation from humans? Does Deku qualify for the not human club because he has multiple souls?

"This Pillar Man... His True Man's World is completely different from ours. Take time to watch him, learn from his path through combat. It can help us improve and reach our own, one way or another." You told Kenny as he braced himself for combat. Zeppeli took a swig from his drink, before he spat it out, the same energy coating them as they sparked with yellow electricity. The balls of wine and spit shaped themselves into discs, which flew directly towards the Pillar Man. He did not seem to react at all, even as the first made contact with his skin, breaking it as the flesh beneath melted. Then he changed, the sounds of bones breaking and flesh mulching echoing throughout the Cavern.

His chest caved in, arms twisting until he was the size of his spine, which then twisted to the side, completely dodging past the other two projectiles in a somewhat sluggish motion. Then he pulled his arms out, as he began to reinflate like a zeppelin, his body returning to its normal state. Zeppeli's face told you everything. He was in shock, with great beads of sweat pouring down his forehead. His large black eyebrows furrowed as he spoke to the creature.

"My Father spoke of what had happened in Eldia twenty years before he came here under the request of The First King, and yet... Your ability is nothing like theirs." The Pillar Man cocked his head to the side, before he pointed at you and then at Zeppeli.

"Marleyan.. What are you.. doing here? Why... Is an Eldian... A part of the Ripple.. Clan?" His voice still cut off in between sentences, as if he had to directly translate his words into their shared tongue before speaking, but his voice only paused for only the span of a moment. His intelligence was terrifying to behold, especially because it belonged to a creature such as him.

"..." Zeppeli was silent, before he yelled out, his face pale in terror. "Eldian? Marleyan?" Kenny asked as Zeppeli took in another deep breath, exhaling as he thrust the bottle forward, his palm slamming into the bottom of the bottle as it completely broke off, flying into the neck of the bottle, further shattering as shards of glass and wine erupted from the bottle's mouth like a shotgun.

The Pillar Man immediately brought up both arms, shielding his face as the blast of Ripple infused wine and glass slammed into them, pushing him back. The Pillar Man's arms were pockmarked with holes filled with melting flesh, blood dripping onto the cold limestone cavern floor below. The Pillar Man did not even flinch as he brought those arms down, viscera pooling onto the floor, exposing some of the entity's bones beneath the flesh. And what magnificent bones they were, thick and sturdy with the color of ivory. It was almost as if his bones were made of marble.

"The Wine Passage Technique?" The Pillar man said, bending down to the floor, sticking two fingers into the thick viscous pile of flesh and wine beneath, before he brought it up to his mouth, his tongue licking off the remains. "What of the other ways of The Ripple? The Sword and Shield? The Soap Technique? Why are you only using one of your many supposed vaunted techniques against me? Were you not sworn to use your all when fighting my kind?"

His diction had significantly improved in the half minute that he had spoken, to the point where he spoke to Kenny and Zeppeli like a native speaker would. Zeppeli's eyes widened at the mentioning of what were presumably techniques in that strange martial art of his. "Primitives.. I forgot how short lived you apes were. It is no wonder that the Ripple Tribe had degraded so in our long absence."

"Ahhh.. This cool air is refreshing.. I think that you two will serve as an refreshing appetizer after so long without food."

The Pillar Person began to approach the two of you menacingly, his hair rising and floating in the air, in spite of the distinct fact that there was no air flowing into the cavern below. Zeppeli was frozen for but a single moment before he brought his fists up.

You quietly advised Kenny to...

>Shoot the Pillar Man with his Gun using the Ripple Energy

>Recover his knife and stab the Pillar Man with the Ripple Energy

>Infuse his body with the Ripple and used it in tandem with his naturally monstrous strength

Now that Kenny has Hamon, I think in this timeline Levi will do things like channel Hamon through the wires of maneuver gear to paralyze the bodies of titans. It would be interesting to have an epilogue showing how this timeline's Levi turned out because of our actions.

Joseph Joestar was able to channel Hamon through his Purple Hermit stand. Perhaps Levi can do the same. If Mandom is unable to actively generate Hamon on his own when separate from Levi, then what they can do is have Levi use Mandom as a whip, and for Mandom to do his best to wrap himself around the pillar man.

Before we do that, tell Zeppeli to put as much Hamon Levi can use into him. We got an idea.
>tl;dr Zeppeli put Hamon in Levi, Levi use Mandom as a whip and zap Coomerman with Hamon.

So pretty much this >>4361641 since he can't see stands, and all he'll notice is Levi swinging his arms like a retard until she channels Hamon.

When this is over and we're not dead, I think we should tell Levi to give Zeppeli an apology for breaking into his estate and unleashing a literal fucking monster.
On the slim chance we kill it, I think it would be worth asking Zeppeli for a favor. If he could house Levi's pregnant sister.

You were a part of Kenny, as strange as that might have sounded to you before you had latched onto him. You had heard of stands that were able to use their user's body to great effect, and the fact that you had an encounter with one, the man who was able to shoot you with his spinning fingernails. That was one of your most memorable duels, save for the one that finally ended you. You saw through these memories like a distant passenger, even if a part of you existed in them. So you reasoned that perhaps you would be able to do the same. You wrapped your multiple tentacles around Kenny's shoulder like a coil as he breathed in, still sparkling and glowing like Zeppeli, or should you say Master Zeppeli?

Kenny laughed at the notion as you felt 'something' well up inside of you. It flowed and flowed until it filled your inner tank to the brim, and then you uncoiled yourself, lunging straight into the Pillar Man's face. You slammed into his face as he charged, and the effect was immediate. The moment your body came into contact with his skin, it began to sizzle and melt, the Pillar Man screaming as he quickly began to scratch at his face, only to feel nothing. You wrapped yourself around his head, tightening your grip even further as his screams went into a crescendo.

"WHAT!? NO!! IMPOSSIBLE!" The Pillar Man froze like a statue, both arms raised high with the legs an equal distance apart. Then you felt a tendril slip past a piece of weakening bone and it plunged straight into the creature's brain, which bulged and then exploded into gore. The Pillar Man's body fell over, rapidly turning into stone and then crumbling even further, dissipating into dust.

Kenny looked at you with a single eyebrow raised, before he sighed disappointingly into the air. "What?" Zeppeli asked in an accusatory manner.

"It was jus' a bit disappointin' ya know? I wanted to at least have a go with 'em." Zeppeli's face grimaced, before he came to a stunning revelation.

"Wait! You're an Ackermann?"

How do you advise Kenny to respond?

>"Why yes I am, how could you tell?"

>"No."

"Of course I am!" Kenny said, full of that false joy and exuberance he tended to display. For some reason, he decided to answer in the positive to Zeppeli's question. You wondered when he'd realize that he had broken into the man's house.

"One of many, and don't ya forget it! Well.. Kind of...." Kenny began, only to pause as reality dawned upon him. He quickly turned towards Zeppeli, a sheepish smile on his face, as if he were a child being caught doing something that they shouldn't have been doing.

"I just broke into your house, didn't I?"

"Yes you did."

"And I somehow unleashed that thing right?"

"Yes."

"Aw c'moooooon." The Merchant Zeppeli seemed to be entirely unamused but he sighed and began to massage his face with his still glowing hands. His expression of pain made you doubt the comfort or effectiveness of such a massage, but you suppose that was another of his strange techniques. Now looking refreshed but still absolutely tired with the world, Zeppeli clapped his hand onto Kenny's shoulder.

"Hey! What th-"

"For what you did today, I am willing to overlook your crime. But you were still the individual that lead to that thing's release, and as such, you will be coming with me."

"Oi. Didn't ya just say you were gonna tell me everythin' about this here creature," Kenny pointed at the pile of dust that had once been the pillar man, "after we got 'em?" Kenny leered at the Zeppeli, the Merchant sighing before he collapsed into the limestone floor.

"I did. A Zeppeli keeps their promise." He took in another deep breath, Ripple energy coursing through him as he got up. "However, I have spent half of the day attending to meetings in the Council with the King, and the other half fighting this creature with the Ripple, which while I have practiced, have not used for combat in over forty years." Zeppeli said. He looked much younger than what he had alluded to in his confrontation with the Pillar Man.

"As such, I will answer a single question, before I retire to my bedchambers. Feel free to take one of the guest rooms." As he said this, the nigh invisible wrinkles on his skin became visible. He seemed to be quite tired, and as such, only had the energy for perhaps one question.

Tell me the truth about the Ackerman persecution.
Listen Zeppeli. I like you. I've killed a lot more people than you are old in the name of venges for my clan. Since you're so buddy buddy with the king, do you think you could tell him and his royal police goonies to fuck off? I'll kill him if I have to I swear, and you know I can if I really wanted to. You've seen how I fought before you rippled me, and his I turned that guy to ash.
Here's an ultimatum you can sleep on. I want the full story of why my clan was brutalized, a little something something compensation for us, tell the royal police to stop trying to kill me, help me find a place and job for my sister, and teach me more of that ripple stuff.
I can either be your friend, or enemy. You dont want to make an enemy of me.

"Tell me the truth behind the persecution of the Ackermanns." Kenny asked, his expression serious. You could tell that he was about to threaten Zeppeli if he didn't tell him, the long streams of words and sentences half felt through your tenuous connection. Zeppeli looked at Kenny oddly, as if he were asking him, 'What, you don't know?'

"Do you know about the First King?" He asked slowly. "Yeah, know about 'em."

"Did you know that your clan was brought over the seas as part of the Royal Guard?" Zeppeli asked. "Didn't know that specifically, but I do know we used to be the King's Sword, whatever that meant."

"The reason why your clan was persecuted was due to the First King's fear, after the head of the clan refused to go along with his peace plan. What an odd plan it was, condemning your own people to an eventual extinction in Paradise." Zeppeli said. Kenny paused, before he looked around awkwardly, turning back to Zeppeli.

"Can I ask another question?"

"No." Zeppeli said, before he turned on his heel, practically sprinting up the staircase.

"Well.. Shit." Kenny muttered, trudging up the staircase after him.

Soon night fell, and Kenny was in a guest room that he had picked out, a small one relative to the others. Kenny slept on the floor, absolutely unused to the fluffiness of the bed. He said that the bed felt as if it was going to drown him, which given how soft it was, that might have been accurate.

You told Kenny to...

"You should continue breathing like that." You said to Kenny as he continued to breath in the manner of the most peculiar technique. "The road to the True Man's World is a hard one, Kenny. Comfort's don't come by too often or too easily, and especially not ones that make you stronger without taking something from you. Take what we can get, Kenny." Kenny continued to breath, his eyes slowly closing as sleep came across him. He was barely glowing now, with only the slightest hint of the Ripple Energy coursing through him.

"Heh. What a strange dream, that True Man's World of yours." Kenny muttered as he fell asleep. You were inevitably recalled, and you soon felt yourself sink into him. There was nothing but black for a moment, before the rays of the sun breaking through the sky shined upon Kenny's forehead, waking the two of you up. Kenny rose and stretched, before he got up and exited from the room. As he stood in the halls, a maid came from seemingly out of nowhere, spooking him something fierce if the gun he pulled was any indication. The maid looked at him, her face blank, before she spoke.

"Master Kenny, please do not point your gun at me." Kenny smiled, normally an intimidating gesture, but in this situation it was just awkward. "Sorry about that. Got the heebie jeebies from that god damn thing." He holstered his gun, the Maid speaking once again. "The Master would like you in his office to have breakfast with him." She bowed and then left.

Kenny shrugged, having never had breakfast with a noble before, was inclined to do so.

He stepped into the small dining room made for entertaining guests, taking a seat at the big round wooden table in the center. He took a seat across from the Old Merchant, who quickly brought his checkered hat down and placed it onto a hook before he took a seat.

"Now that we're in a more comfortable position, I am free to answer as many questions as you'd like, so long as you'd do one thing for me."

"What thing?" Kenny asked, his eyes narrowing. "As you are the only other user of the Ripple in the Walls other than myself, and as I do not have a son, I would like you to come with me to Marley. The Old King thankfully knew of our duty, and so he prepared a ship on the Northern Coast of the Island."

"Can I at least settle my affair's before I leave?" Kenny asked as the door opened, a different maid walking a cart in. The cart was multi layered, containing various trays of cold cuts, cheese and fruits. She set them upon the table, before she leaned down to bring out the lowest tray, which contained a teapot and several cups and saucers. These were set about the table, as the Merchant Zeppeli began to eat with gusto. You had no idea how he had not managed to become fat with his eating habits, save for the possibility of his strange breathing technique keeping him in shape. You knew that specifically breathing in that way seemed to be strenuous, and the Merchant was from what you saw an incredibly skilled practitioner of this strange martial art.

Kenny ate a little, his hat still on his head in an irreverent fashion, not that Zeppeli seemed to mind.

"Can I at least take care of my affairs before going?" He asked, finally saying what was on his mind after a period of silence. "Which are?" Zeppeli sipped from his teacup. "Y'see, my sister's a whore and she's pregnant with some bastard's kid. Wanted her to get rid of it, but she said no. I want her to live a good life, even if she didn't awaken that good ol' Ackermann spirit. Can ya take her on as a maid?"

Zeppeli closed his eyes, taking in the aroma of the tea, before he opened one. "I do have a spot that has opened up recently. I'll reserve it for her." Zeppeli said, much to Kenny's relief. While he didn't really care about getting vengeance for the prosecution of his family, he did care about close family.

"Any other questions before we leave?"

"What was that thing down there?" Kenny asked as he ate a forkful of sliced ham. "That ain't no titan, but by the way you're treating it, it might as well be." Zeppeli shifted for only a moment in his seat, before he set his fork down, clearing his throat.

"I personally do not know what it was, but my Father did. His journal is located in my office. Would you like me to get it?" He asked, Kenny nodding once as he continued to eat his breakfast. In the moment that Zeppeli was gone, Kenny snuck some more pieces of ham onto his plate from Zeppeli's plate. You did not feel anything, given what you were, but you knew that Kenny was satisfied by this action.

Zeppeli returned, one eye peering at his plate which conspicuously held one less slice of ham than Kenny's, then sighed in disgust. He returned to his seat, unwrapping a thing of waxed cloth, revealing a book. He opened it and began to read.

"This pillar man is a curious creature, perhaps the creator of those accursed masks? We cannot do anything against it, save for destroying the masks surrounding the thing. The Ripple Energy will not course well enough to kill it, for it is stone, and even the heads of our pickaxes break upon its skin. That is the reason why that I have petitioned King Fritz for this land, as it contains something my clan was meant to keep away from this world. He agreed and gave the land to us, and we have cultivated it for years. But that Pillar Man is very similar to the Mural Men in Mare, who eat those who fall upon it." Zeppeli looked up from his journal, his gaze returning to Kenny as he closed it and continued to eat.

"What is exactly is a 'Marleyan'?" Kenny asked in his Underground drawl, before continuing. "What is an Eldian too? I mean, you brought up both terms, like these walls ain't the last bastion of humanity." Zeppeli raised an eyebrow before he spoke. "Very well, I forgot about the First King's oath of secrecy among us minorities."

"A Marleyan are an ethnic people from beyond the walls and this island, as you now know. They were once a Great Empire, stretching even into the lands of what is now Eldia, before they were destroyed by the Eldians. We of the Ripple Clan originate from the days of the Marleyan Empire, but we quickly swore to serve the Eldian Empire when their King took the Red Stone of Aja from its ancient resting place, making us honor bound to serve him. Even now, the Zeppelis, one of the foremost houses that knew of the Ripple exclusively served the King of the Eldia until the 145th King, Karl Fritz exiled himself and his people to this island. That is why you are Eldian, for your clan, the Ackermanns were modified through the Founding Titan's ability." Zeppeli finished, before he rose from the chair, evidently done with his breakfast.

"I hope that you get your affairs shortly in order, as we will depart next week." He said, exiting from the room to probably practice his breathing or some other strange Marleyan cultural ritual. You really didn't know, and now Kenny had the time to settle his affairs.

You told Kenny to first get his sister up to her new job, to which he told you that was already on his mind. He left the Zeppeli Estate, quickly going down the hidden path, which had no checkpoint into the Underground. He found the brothel that Kuchel worked at and again, booked a meeting with his sister. She was now heavily pregnant, her belly swollen with her unborn child, so she required help getting onto the surface. Kenny carried his sister on his back much like he did in the past, and smuggled her onto the surface without much trouble, which was surprising. It seemed as if the Merchant Zeppeli's influence was much greater than you had thought, but he did it.

The Head Butler quickly got Kuchel settled into her new job, and Kenny simply told her to have a good life in the case that he didn't come back from this trip. And what a trip it would be. A horse ride through titan infested territory, all to the Northern Shore of Paradis, where Zeppeli's ship was. This probably explained why Zeppeli had given you such a generous amount of time to settle your affairs.

You had no idea how Kenny would fare against titans, but the implications given at breakfast by Zeppeli seem to bode well for Kenny. Yet it never hurt to be prepared.

How could you prepare for such a journey? How could one fight Titans in the first place? These questions coursed through your mind as you tried to find a way to prepare for the long and arduous journey to the Northern Shore. Kenny normally wouldn't have joined with Zeppeli, in fact he probably would have killed him had it not been for the circumstances that led to the encounter in the cave. But he felt the call to adventure, not that you ever felt it, and so was compelled to follow him to Marley. You asked Kenny what he knew about the Titans, and he said that the people in Wall Sina thought them to be myths. He believed that they were real, especially after the Pillar Man incident, but had no idea how people managed to fight them, save for stories of the Survey Corps' rare battles against them in their expeditions beyond the wall.

Even while avoiding the titans, the Survey Corps, the branch of the military dedicated to exploration beyond the walls and retaking 'the world' from the Titans, had an obscenely high mortality rate. Out of every expedition so far, up to 30% of the expedition died. So without answers, Kenny turned to his closest source of information, the Military Police. You suspected that Kenny just wanted to spook them with his presence, along with flaunting his newly gained pardon from the King himself. Apparently in Zeppeli's dealings, he had gotten the True King of the Wall's pardon for not only Kenny, but also had the age old persecution of the Ackermanns lifted. Kenny thought that the King was strange, given his heartfelt apology in a letter that he personally wrote to Kenny nonetheless. This kindness made you uneasy. The same went for Kenny.

Inevitably, Kenny tailed a squad of Military Police who inevitably made their way to their superiors, watched the life and vigor drain from the eyes of those newly made MPs who sought to change the system within, and approached the table of Officers playing cards from the shadows.

"Kenny!?" One officer shouted, immediately recognizing his face, his rifle drawn and aimed at Kenny. "Aw c'mooon. Didn't ya hear that I've got a pardon from the King himself?" The Officer looked incredulous, his eyes desperately turning to his comrades until one of them confirmed it. The Officer shakily began to lower his gun, face constricted in an uneasy grin.

"R-Right. Mister Ackermann... Do you have a reason for coming to us?" Kenny couldn't take it. He broke into loud laughter, calmly placing a hand on the Officer's shoulder which shivered under his touch. "Calm down ya idiot. Just here to buy your fancy Titan fighting gear."

"Oh, you mean the 3D Maneuvering Gear?" The Officer perked up, his demeanor changing. He was no longer afraid, but was still ghastly uneasy at the presence of Kenny, who was at best an urban legend to them.

"Let's see.. We won't be using the anyways, so.... How much are you willing to pay for them?"

You quickly hopped off of Kenny's shoulder, slinking towards the MP as you crawled up his legs, checking the 3D Maneuvering Gear with your multiple tentacles. The Officer shuddered as his fellows got back to their game of cards, now that they were no longer at risk of getting shot. It felt metal, and the mechanisms within were surprisingly similar to the flintlock pistols that Kenny had. There were multiple gears within, one to hold the spool of steel cable, another to turn back the flintlock inner workings and another yet to change the position of the vents. It just needed a suitable fuel source, such as a tank of hyper pressurized gas.

"It's legitimate." You said as you hopped off of the MP, returning to Kenny whose eyes took on his classic dead stare.

"Talk. How long have you had these?" Kenny asked, the MP blinking once, dropping his gun for a moment before he fumbled to catch it. "Ah. I was issued this gear since my promotion into the Military Police. Not that we will ever use it, considering how far we are from the Titans." Kenny narrowed his eyes.

"You weren't gonna use 'em, but you had 'em lying around anyway?" Kenny asked, the MP gulping. "What's the deal here?" The MP took in a deep breath, adjusting his collar under his flabby neck. "It's for emergencies. In the case that the Titans breach Wall Maria, Wall Rose and finally begin to encroach on Wall Sina, not that that will ever happen." He said.

The MP was clearly nervous at Kenny's line of questioning, likely owing to the fact that the person questioning him was notorious for gunning down members of the Military Police in massive shooting sprees that you helped. You had tried to direct him into a duel once or twice, but it was always ruined by another member of the Military Police coming in.

Now that he was nervous and likely to be willing to lower the price, you had Kenny give...

"A hundred fifty. No more, no less." Kenny said, and the MP nodded quickly, rapidly unbuckling his 3D Maneuvering Gear from his waist, the thing hanging loosely like a leather belt as he undid the chest straps, handing it into Kenny's hands without much hesitation. "Woah there." Kenny said as he hefted the thing onto his shoulder, pulling out the money needed and slapping into the MP's palm.

"Careful Kenny. Civilians like you aren't supposed to have gear." The MP warned as Kenny began to stalk off into the darkness from which he came. Finding a way back to the Zeppeli Estate was incredibly easy, for in spite of Wall Sina being the smallest of the walls, the lands inside were still incredibly vast. Kenny hopped over the fence surrounding the estate and made his way back to the manor, whistling as he barged in through the Cellar Entrance to an exasperated Zeppeli who was stocking up on wine. Kenny whistled at the vintage.

"Whew. What're you bringin' that much wine for?"

"For the trip to Marley of course."

"You're gonna carry a cart through titan infested territory?"

"No, my horses are. By the way, why do you have 3D Maneuvering Gear?" Zeppeli asked, his voice tinged with a tone of suspicion. "You didn't kill anybody for it, did you?"

"Mind your own business 'stead of sticking your nose in my own." Kenny retorted, to the eternal exasperation of the Merchant Zeppeli. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Kenny, with a complete and total lack of amusement in his eyes, contrary to Kenny's eyes. Kenny was having the time of his life, dragging Zeppeli like this for some odd reason. In spite of them being allies, Kenny still had that old mischievous streak to him, albeit this time it was not as murderous as it had been with the Military Police before his pardoning and the rescinding of the Ackermann Persecution. The Merchant Zeppeli's eyes then looked at Kenny's gear, noticing the distinct lack of blood or any signs of it being taken by force.

"You bought it from an officer." Zeppeli stated, as if his hunch were fact, which to be fair was. "H-Hey.. Cut it out with that prescience of yours would ya? Your startin' to give me the creeps." Kenny said as Zeppeli looked at his wrist in a disappointed manner. "To think that one of our institutions would become that corrupt." His voice carried a sad tinge, possibly due to the fact that the Officer sold his gear to Kenny of all people instead of the Officer just being corrupt. Shaking his head, Zeppeli looked up at Kenny again, before he spoke again.

"We depart tomorrow." His voice carried a tone of finality much like the one the old President had before.

Kenny spent today, the last day before the journey to Marley, wherever that was, although it sounded vaguely Italian, with his sister and his nephew, who was young. Not quite newly born as the two of you had thought, as now that you thought about it, her mound did move a bit too much to be a baby. Levi, as his mother had named him certainly was small enough to be a toddler, in spite of his relatively young age. The boy looked vaguely healthy, skin still pale from living in the underground like Kuchel's, but his hair was cut in a fashion that you had never seen before. He was a quiet child, even as his mother made him at least introduce himself.

Kenny was not impressed by the man who would have been Levi's forebear, if his momentary look of disdain in his eyes were any indication, but his eye softened as he saw his mother's features within him. Reluctantly, Kenny knelt down and opened his arms wide, as if to embrace Levi, and Levi awkwardly sidled into his Uncle's hug.

"Not much to look at, or much at all." Kenny whispered into Levi's ear, before he tightened the grip of his hug. "But you're my sister's runt, no matter who your damn father might be. If you wanna find him for some god-forsaken reason, I'd suggest gettin' strong." Kenny continued, before he got up.

"If you get strong enough, you'll unlock this cool thing like your Uncle Kenny has." Kenny said with a wide grin as he mock flexed with one arm. He gave Kuchel a chaste kiss on the forehead and hugged her for a long while. Then they broke off, and Kenny left the room.

Tomorrow would be the day of the expedition, and the two of you still had some time left before it.

What did you do in the remaining time before the day of the journey?

Kenny spent the rest of the day in the Underground, specifically using you as a way to cheat in various games. Kenny had entered several seedy establishments within the Underground, placing bets on various animals that were often underdogs. Then he had you slightly help them along their paths, which often put them ahead of many of the prize animals save for a few. Kenny gained more money than he lost this way, and as he exited, counting the money he had made, he tucked it away only to enter another several bars.

In these places he played cards, and had you look over the decks of the ones playing against him, subtly feeding him the required information to win. Someone took offense to this, and so Kenny took him in the front and dueled him. Kenny won without your help, and did not need you to reset so that the man could shoot you with his best ability, for his aim peaked during that one duel.

Now with an extra 300 of the Wall's currency, you spent it on...

Yes, it's another mouth to feed, but I implore you to consider the following: A well-trained hound can vastly help with detecting creatures, especially unnatural ones that may wish us harm. Their sense of smell can help to track a fleeing foe DAYS after they've been at a scene. They're loyal as all hell once you get them to like you. And against reasonably sized enemies, they're vicious foes to go against - attack dogs are a bitch and a half to fight off, especially if someone like Kenny is shooting at you while you try to do that.

How much money are you willing to hedge that Tokoyami's thicc thighed, devil worshiping, big tiddy goth bird mom is the leader of a cult that was large enough to summon pic related into the material world for long enough to fuck her, creating our favorite edgy bird in the process. It makes too much sense now that I think about it, Primals are the closest thing to gods as devils are concerned so Dark Shadow(Tokoyami's stand, warped and twisted by the influence of the darkness devil on his soul) may not have been bluffing when he said he was the lord of Darkness. The sudden surge of aggression in low light environments seems logical since the Darkness Devil's influence would start to take a greater hold on Tokoyami's Stand in the dark. It keeps scaring me how much of this lines up in ways that makes sense. After the science based quirk storage became canon I started getting suspicious that Hori started reading SQR when he saw some of the art he did in the thread catalog. While he can't speak English well he is fluent in the written langue from reading a bunch of American comic books. Do you think he saw us ranting about Demons a few threads back and decided to drop the cameo to fuck with us?

Kenny spent the majority of his money on a good hunting dog from a breeder he knew in the Underground. Dogs bred in the Underground, as a rule tended to be incredibly vicious and without many fetters. Kenny had experience with them first hand, in the days before he gained you. He often won in their bouts, but there were scars on his body from his encounters with them. And so to Kenny, there was no better companion than a good dog. He bought it for 150 and brought it along to the carriage on the day of the journey to Marley.

"What is that?" Zeppeli asked, lazily pointing a finger at the absolutely massive dog Kenny kept on his lap. "It's a dog." Zeppeli gave Kenny a strange look. "Kenny, we are about to travel through Titan Territory for days in a wagon towed by horses."

"Your point being?" Kenny retorted, spitting out the wad of tobacco he was chewing, letting it sink into the cobbles of the Trost district. "We're traveling through Trost into Wall Maria, from there, it's about several days journey to Shinganshina and then to the outside of the walls itself." Kenny snorted as he continued to count the cards he had found in a card deck on the floor. It was a strange deck of cards, full of names and numbers. A set of Tarot cards. As a god-fearing American, you thought that they were witchcraft incarnate, the same as one of your coworkers thought, although the President did not mind them, pragmatic as he was. As such, you attempted to convince Kenny that it wasn't important to the True Man's World, but he decided to keep it anyways as a sort of souvenir.

Days passed in the wagon, and soon you were in the District of Shinganshina. The gate that normally only opened during Survey Corp Expeditions were opened at night by Zeppeli giving them some papers, to which the Commander of the Survey Corps paled, before he let you through the gates without question.

And then you heard it. A great, tremendous roar that seemed to have originated in Wall Maria echoed throughout the walls, even as the Survey Corpsmen bidding you two farewell barely even noticed it. Kenny turned his head to the sound. The dog lifted it's head, its hairs rising onto its ends as it whimpered.

"Shit. This situation must be pretty fucking bad for something like this to occur." Zeppeli muttered under his breath as he quickly lurched upwards. The Wagon ambled on by, even past a 10 Meter Titan that seemed to be even more inactive than usual, its eyes glazed over completely with white.

"What the hell was that!?" Kenny half shouted, sticking a head out of the back of the tarp covered wagon to look at the 10m Titan, which remained as still as a statue in spite of his noise. Its tall form grew distant and gradually disappeared into the darkness as the Wagon continued on, the horses somewhat shaken by the scream, but were brought to bare by Zeppeli. The Merchant Zeppeli stuck his head into the wagon, still on the seat of the Wagon.

"That right there is the roar of the Founding Titan. My Father described its roar like that when King Fritz wiped this island of their memories." Zeppeli said, before he ducked back out as he redirected the wagon, the vehicle briefly lurching to the side. "Do you remember that 10 meter class Titan we found, how its eyes were glazed over and milk white? That must be the King using his ability to influence them, although I have no idea why he'd do such a thing." Zeppeli stated as thoughts began to course through Kenny's head. The Founding Titan not only had control over Eldians, his own people, but also over the very Titans themselves?

"But wouldn't that mean that..." Kenny asked, to which Zeppeli confirmed. "Yes, Titans are Eldians, specifically Subjects of Ymir. The Founding Titan can only control the Subjects of Ymir, allowing for them to transform Eldians into Titans and vice versa. Albeit..." Zeppeli paused, grabbing the reins of the wagon as he hastened its already quick speed. You heard the distinct sound that came with the activation of the Ripple, and the front of the wagon began to glow.

"This should not be possible. The First King's Will lives within his descendants, the Reiss Family, and he had declared a vow renouncing war, which means that none of his descendants would be able to utilize the Founding Titan's powers." Zeppeli coughed and then spat something out onto the ground beside the wagon as it sped along.

"But that was to punish your people, the Eldians for their sins against the world. He did not wish for the rest of the world to die, and as such, that must have been the reason as to why he'd utilize his power now. We need to get to Marley as soon as possible." Zeppeli cursed, the speed of the Wagon intensifying. The bumpy ride soon began to smooth.

"We'll be at the Northern Shore by sunrise at this rate. Damn King must've known about that." Zeppeli finished, continuing to cycle his breathing as it came.

Well, you suppose that it really was better to be prepared rather than sorry.

While Kenny remained sitting on his seat, you got to work performing maintenance on his guns. Removing each pistol from their place within his coat's holsters, you gingerly removed their screws, storing them in his pocket as you began to clean and otherwise oil the various springs and bits of metal within the flintlock mechanisms. Then removing the barrels, you got to work cleaning them, removing the fouling that had built up in each barrel from use. As you began to assemble the pistols, Kenny asked Zeppeli a simple question.

"The fuck you mean about the King? Is he still tryin' to kill us?" He asked in his quiet drawl, the Merchant sighing for a moment, before he called back. "No, no! He's using his power to make the Titans even more inactive than they usually are at night. They might as well be gigantic statues at this point." Zeppeli stated. The two of you continued on like this, with Kenny ruminating over his thoughts. Soon dawn broke, and there were no titans to be found. In fact, the area had abruptly changed from a grassy relatively flat plain into beach as clear as day. Kenny got up, walking out from the back and onto the shores of the beach itself. There in the distance was what appeared to be an ancient dock of stone that could not have been built by human hands.

It was far too smooth, and far too uniform. And it was only made using four immense bricks of stone that had to have been laid by a giant. To the side was an old sloop, its multiple sails still bound tightly to its old wooden post. The back of it was embossed with a nine pointed star, which must have made it one of the many ships that brought the Eldians to this island, and the mark must have meant that it would have been a part of King Fritz's personal fleet as well.

As Zeppeli loaded the supplies into the ship, Kenny helping him, you could not help but think of how strange this world was. From the seemingly anachronistic technology, to the Titans, the Ripple and the Pillar Man, and other supernatural phenomena.

There was more to discover next.

That much you were certain of.
