It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 750 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized across the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 74 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Emperor of the Universe: Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The semifinals of the first New Salda Youth Tournament kicked off with Broly battling Kakarot. And despite Bardock’s boy surpassing what everyone thought were his limits and pushing to a new level of power, it wasn’t enough to close the gap. Next came Chilli versus Chaya, Karn’s two oldest-born children. Chaya fought valiantly, utilizing her full power against her brother’s magic, but in the end she sustained far more damage, and landed outside the ring. After Chaya gave him the rest of her energy, Chilli then fought Broly, unleashing his full magical energy in a magical transformation. After a tremendous battle, and giving his all, Chilli was defeated and nearly killed. But thanks to Caulifla, his wounds were healed. Yet, as we rejoin Karn at the end of the day, with the tournament long over, Chilli still hasn’t woken up.

“Here. You need to eat, and keep your strengh up.” Meloka says, handing her daughter-in-law a plate laden with mostly vegetables as she’s still by her husband, kneeling by the bed and holding his limp hand. She hadn’t left his side ever since the tournament ended, even going so far as trying to carry him from the arena herself. But Broly immediately put an end to that, grabbing his younger brother up in his arms carefully. She’d glared at him a moment, before your wife whispered something to her you couldn’t hear seemingly stopped it. “It won’t do him any good if you starve yourself.”
“Thanks.” she says absentmindedly, not turning her gaze from his sleeping face. Even in his dreams your son’s brows are furrowed, glaring at something you can’t see. A moment later Maz and Kayle rush in through the open door, dashing around you and Meloka curiously.

“Is he up yet?” Kayle asks, looking up at the bed. “Awww.”
“Told you he wasn’t.” Maz tells her, in that “I told you so” tone. But before they can start arguing, Chaya shows back up as well. Within a minute everyone’s here, even Broly looking worriedly at his brother. And in that moment, a very familiar presence reaches out to you telepathically.
“If you all are ready, I can bring you all over here now.” Towa thinks directly into both your and Meloka’s minds. “I do want to get a look in-person, and make sure everything’s okay with him sooner, rather than later.”
“I’m ready.” Meloka replies with a thought, turning to you. “Hun?”

Well?
>We’re all ready, let’s head on over now
>Let me ask Megumin really quick, she hasn’t been over to Towa’s place yet
>Not yet, let him rest a bit longer first. He took one hell of a beating, and his body needs rest

“We're all ready, let's head on over now.” you reply telepathically, then say aloud. “Everyone, it's time. Hold on.”
“Huh?” Megumin asks, looking around at you all in confusion as your kids all begin reaching out to each other. Broly lays a hand on Megumin's shoulder as she holds the still-sleeping Chilli's hand. “What's going on?”
“We're going to see someone who can help.” he answers her, as suddenly Churai appears. Wordlessly Towa's android assistant reaches out, laying a hand on your arm, and everything around you all changes. One moment you all are in Chilli's room on your grounded ship, and the next you find yourself in an unfamiliar place. You all appear inside a vaguely-similar room to Towa's old lab, Churai teleporting you all so accurately that Chilli appears atop a cleared off examination table. And across the table from you all is the Demon Princess herself, Towa.

“Welcome to our new home.” she says by way of greeting, walking around it towards you. But before she's even taken four steps, the far door is slung open.
“DADDY!!” Future Chaya shouts, blazing towards you. You barely have time to brace yourself before she flies over and tackles you. Despite being in her base form, she still hits you with so much force that she knocks you right off your feet and slams you into the far wall. “I MISSED YOU!”
“Missed you too kiddo.” you say with a wince, reaching up and patting her shoulder. “How have things been?”
“Great! We had our very first Christmas party yesterday!” she says excitedly, you raising a brow in confusion at the unfamiliar word. “It was great!”
“Christmas?” you ask, but before you can say anything else Chaya dives at her older self's back and latches on.

“Hey big me!” Chaya shouts excitedly. “Did you watch? Did you see the tournament?”
“I did! I missed the early rounds, but you fought extremely well.” Future Chaya complements her younger self, letting you go. As she does Towa sees her opening, and slides right into your arms.
“Missed you.” Towa whispers to you, her head on your chest. “It's been too long.”
“It has been that.” you say, hugging her back for several moments in silence. A moment later the door opens again, and your half-demon children all walk in together. “Hey there.”
“DAD!” Milha and Koruza shout, dashing over at you as Maza, trying to act all cool, slowly walks over to you behind them. The two younger half-demons leap towards you, you opening your arms and Towa steps to your right as they slam into you, but since they're not as powerful as Future Chaya you aren't knocked back this time.
“Hey there you two. Miss me?” you ask, hugging them both as Maza walks up. “You been behaving for your mother?”

“Of course.” the soft-spoken, red-skinned demon girl says, burying her face in your neck.
“Always.” Koruza says with a smile. “Me and Dark Rider have been getting along excellently too.”
“Dark Rider and I.” Towa says in a corrective tone to him. “Your grammar is still important, Koruza.”
“Yes Mother.” your half-demon son says, your kids all mingling with the half-demons and everyone asks each other questions. But through all this Megumin, still holding Chilli's hand, is just looking around in complete confusion. She clearly doesn't understand what the hell's going on.

What do you do?
>Telepathically reach out to Megumin, and explain what's going on to her and what Towa can do
>Ask Towa about what Chilli did during his fight with Broly. Perhaps she can help you understand what happened

“Hey, Megumin.” you think to her, your son's wife turning towards you. “Everything okay?”
“Where are we?” she asks, you sensing the worry through the telepathic link. “There's magic in the air: this isn't New Salda anymore, is it?”
“You're right. I'm not exactly sure where or when we are, but this place is separate from the rest of this timeline.” you tell her. “It's safe from those assholes who attacked us at your wedding.”
“I knew she looked familiar.” she answers. “So those kids...?”
“They're mine, yes.” you tell her. “Towa's been a longtime ally of our family, and has saved both my own, and Meloka's lives on several occasions. She even built me a new heart.”

“Wai-WHAT?!” she shouts aloud, drawing everyone's gaze. So you speak aloud as well, continuing the conversation.
“Yes, she can verify it for you.” you say, gesturing over to Towa. “After one of her late androids punched a hole straight through my chest, she was able to fix me.”
“Yes, and that's why Meloka and I have these matching scars across our chests.” she says, drawing a finger down the front of her outfit. Which cuts it open, revealing the scar similar to you own across her chest. Megumin's face reddens a bit for some reason, Towa smirking a bit at her reaction before resealing her skintight red and black uniform. “But I was able to save him.”
“Not only from that, but from that machine mind control as well.” you say, tapping the side of your head. “Now I can't be mind controlled by anyone.”

“That sounds nice.” an unfamiliar voice says quietly, you turning and seeing none other than the Time Patrol's Ace standing in the doorway! You and Meloka react immediately, emerald and golden auras blazing up around you both. The young man immediately throws both arms forward, shaking his head. “Hold on, wait! I'm not-!”
“Daddy wait!” Future Chaya calls out, dashing over to his side. “He's on our side now!”
“What?” you ask, looking from them to Towa and back. “The hell?”
“It's a bit of a long story.” Towa says to you. “But, thanks to Mechikabura, Ace has been freed of the Supreme Kai of Time's mind control. And he chose to stay with us, or at least with Chaya.”
“You? With him?” you ask, both nodding to you. You don't say anything for several moments, then sigh out and walk directly over to him and hold out your hand. He hesitates for a moment before taking it, you immediately clamping down on his hand as you let your Supervillain power flare up around you for a moment as you whisper to him. “I'm only going to say this once. You treat my daughter right, or there won't be a timeline far enough to keep me from hanging you with your own entrails. Do I make myself clear?”

“O-Of course.” he says, clearly a bit nervous around you yet man enough not to break eye contact or back down. “I will protect her with everything I've got.”
“You say that like you think you're stronger than me.” Future Chaya says, teasingly punching his left shoulder. You let him go and power back down, turning and seeing Towa just smirking at you. However, before you can say anything, Megumin speaks up.
“Ummm, Miss Towa?” she asks, the demon princess turning to the young Crimson Demon. “You can help him, right? You can help Chilli?”
“Of course I can.” she says confidently, walking over and gently laying her hand atop both Megumin and Chilli's. “That's why I asked your father-in-law to head over. Now that my security is working fully, I can study the effects that Kaio-Ken had on his body while he was transformed.”
“I'll help.” Megumin then says, her hand unconsciously going to her chest where you, Towa, and Meloka all have your scars. “Whatever you need, I'll do it.”

“Your devotion to him is admirable, but you won't need to make any such sacrifice.” Towa tells her gently. “Most likely he exhausted himself. The Kaio-Ken was designed as an energy amplifier, to temporarily boost a fighter beyond their limits to quickly end an opponent. But it is a dangerous technique, one which can destroy the user's body if they push themselves too far. And with his body being converted to magic by his transformation, it's hard to tell what all that did to his circuits. I'll have to study him closely, and find out the extent of the damage. It will take some time.”
“I'll help.” Megumin says immediately. “Even if I can only fetch tools, I want to help.”
“I wouldn't ask you to leave.” Towa answers her, then turns to you. “What about you? This examination could take several hours, will you be staying to watch as well? Or will you be spending some time with your other children, who I'm sure have much they want to show you since you've been apart?”

“If you need anything let me know.” you say to Towa, turning towards your wife who's still holding onto both Okira and Karn Jr. “Mind if I take her?”
“Of course.” she says, Okira looking questioningly up to you as you take your youngest daughter.
“We're going with Koruza and Caulifla.” you tell her quick telepathically. “Perhaps her siblings with Stands can help her open up a bit more.”
“Sounds good.” she says aloud, flying up and giving you a kiss before you both go with different groups of your kids. You walk over to Caulifla and Koruza, who've both summoned their Stands behind them, and address them both.

“How about we all go find a quiet place, so everyone can talk?” you ask them both, emphasizing your words so they all know what you mean. “I think your youngest sister here could learn a thing or two from you both.”
“Sure!” Caulifla answers, turning to Koruza. “Sound good to you?”
“Of course. Let's go.” he says, turning towards the door. You see Broly and Chaya are already leaving with Maza, Ace, and Future Chaya, while Milha is talking with the older twins. Maz and Kayle are both clinging to Meloka, who's looking at Megumin with an odd look on her face as Towa's android assistant Churai reappears beside her. “I know just the place.”
“Lead on kiddo.” you tell him, Caulifla whistling to herself as you both follow your half-demon son down an empty hallway. You look around it while following Koruza, his Stand stalking menacingly behind him as you notice how unfurnished this place looks compared to Towa's last lab. The halls have bare, non-carved stone exposed in places, bare metal in others, yet to you it gives this place a different feel to her previous lab. Before it felt so sterile and uniform that now these patches of difference liven up the place. In your opinion anyways.

After a minute of following Koruza down the different halls, he leads you to a pair of dark, wooden double doors. He flies up to the handles, grabbing ahold of one while having Dark Rider grab the other, and simultaneously they pull. Demon and Stand open the doors, revealing what seems to be some sort of study. Bookshelves filled with all sorts of different tomes line the walls into inky darkness overhead, and opposite the door is a rustic-seeming fireplace with five chairs all facing it.

“Hey sis, you mind?” Koruza asks, gesturing to the fireplace.
“Of course. Triumph!” Caulifla calls, her Stand flying over and with a “KIIIIIIIII!” breathes a stream of fire into the hole. The flames catch, lighting up the dark room. But as the fireplace is lit, several glass bulbs all light as well, revealing just how tall this room is. The lights all blink to life simultaneously, you looking up and seeing that this room is taller than two Oozaru stacked atop each other. Just how many books are stored here? “Woah!”
“Like it?” he asks. “This room was like this when we got here. Seems whoever owned this place before really liked their books.”
“That is a lot of books.” you say, wondering what sorts of ancient secrets could be contained within their pages. Perhaps Chilli would like to visit this one, once he wakes up? “Hey, Okira. Why don't you say hello to your half brother, Koruza?”

“H-Hi.” she says shyly, burying her face in your neck almost before she even finishes talking.
“I can smell her fear.” Koruza's Stand, Dark Rider says, head turning aside curiously. “But not of I, her fear is of her own power.”
“Her Stand is super cool!” Caulifla shouts excitedly. “C'mon Okira, you and your Stand can both talk. We all have Stands here.”
“Wait, she has one-oh yeah.” Koruza says, looking at your hiding daughter. “I remember.”
“You remember me?” Imagine Dragon asks, snaking out of Okira's mouth and looking over her shoulder.
“Of course!” Koruza says, gesturing over to the chairs. “How about we all have a seat?”

You all sit down, including Dark Rider while you hold Okira in you lap facing her sister and half brother, as well as their Stands. Imagine Dragon is hanging from her lips, looking between Dark Rider and Koruza curiously while Divine Dragon Force lazes around your right arm, head laying atop your hand while watching events unfold passively.

“You can think, and speak just as I can.” Dark Rider says, addressing Imagine Dragon directly. “Interesting. I had thought myself and Divine Dragon Force were the only sentient Stands.”
“Perhaps we're this way due to our progenitor?” Imagine Dragon says, both Stands glancing towards Divine Dragon Force. “But how do the two of you function together, thinking independently?”
“It's simple, we've practiced.” Koruza answers. “Lots and lots of practice.”
“Pra'ish?” Okira asks, head tilting as she tries to speak with her 'tongue' out. “Wha oo you meem?”
“We have spent months upon months working together.” Dark Rider says. “Learning everything about each other-”

“-to the point we can finish each other's sentences.” Koruza finishes, Caulifla looking between them clearly surprised. “If you're both sentient, that means you need to work together.”
“Precisely.” Divine Dragon Force says, speaking up for the first time. “Neither of you is complete without the other.”
“But I'm afraid.” Okira says telepathically to everyone, thinking her mind instead of struggling to speak with her Stand out. “When we talk together, the world changes.”
“In what way?” Koruza asks, curious. “Can you show me?”

Okira's mind retracts from you all, her and her Stand's gazes meeting for several quiet seconds of no doubt intense conversation before she almost violently shakes her head, turns and again buries her face in your chest. Leaving Imagine Dragon to do the talking for them both, while the rest of you are simply confused.

“She said she's too nervous.” Imagine Dragon says, sounding almost sheepishly apologetic. “And without her, I can do little on my own.”
“Well, that's alright.” Caulifla says, coming over and laying a hand on both of their heads which is adorable. “You're still both so young, you'll have plenty of time to learn teamwork down the road.”
“Indeed. While your world is far less safe than ours here, with your father there no harm should come to either of you.” Dark Rider says. “And with your sister and her Stand, even if harm does somehow find you, I doubt it will be permanent.”
“Speaking of permanent, or I guess not really, I wanna hear more about what you guys did to Trunks!” Caulifla says, catching you and Divine Dragon Force by surprise.
“Oh, it wasn't that much.” Koruza says, telling you all about a recent battle he'd participated in protecting Towa from Trunks. Dark Rider had incapacitated Trunks in a timeline similar to your own, where something called a Dark Dragon Ball had appeared in your chest. Something to ask Towa about. But after he describes the battle Caulifla tells him about the tournament, and how her Stand helped her to fight. They talk, you mostly listening to their experiences and adding an occasional question to them as Okira continues shyly hiding her face away. Then, some time later, Towa reaches out to you telepathically.

“Good news. Chilli is going to be just fine.” she tells you. You sigh in relief at this, your unknowingly tense body relaxing as she thinks to you. “He damaged his magical circuits, overloaded them, but they'll heal in a few days. For now, he just needs rest, and to not use his magic for a while.”
“Thank you, Towa.” you tell her, feeling truly relaxed for the first time today. “Always appreciate it.”
“Of course. And you can thank me later this evening, after all the kids have gone to bed.” she replies, you sense what she means through the link and can almost feel her blushing before she ends it. That's good news.

“Well I just got the good news.” you say, rising back up to your feet. “Towa's just finished examining Chilli, and she said he's going to be just fine.”
“Thank goodness!” Caulifla exclaims, sighing out similarly to how you just had a moment before as you feel even Okira relaxing a bit. “I was so worried.”
“That's good to hear.” Koruza says, both he and Dark Rider rising up from their seats as well. “Shall we go?”
“Yes, let's head on over their way now.” you say, Koruza walking over to the fireplace and pulling the lever above the stone chimney. The fire extinguishes immediately, all the lights going out one by one as you all make your way to the door. You bring up the rear, grabbing the heavy doors and slide them both closed before following your half-demon son back towards Chilli's energy signature.

You pay close attention to the hallways as Koruza leads you all back, and make mental notes on the pathway. You want to bring Chilli to that library, once he's up and awake. You're sure he'll enjoy such a find, especially while he's recovering and unable to use his powers.

“And here we are.” Koruza says, stopping by the familiar door as it slides open, revealing the laboratory you all had arrived in. Towa's standing beside the table opposite Megumin, who seems surprisingly exhausted as Chilli's brows furrow deeper a moment, and slowly open.
“Chilli? Are-Are you okay?” Megumin asks, your son turning towards her voice. “Can you hear me?”
“Megu?” he asks drowsily, then after a second his eyes snap open as he seemingly remembers what happened. “What happened? Wh-Where are we?”
“You're in my home.” Towa says, Chilli's head snapping around to see Towa. As he does, he relaxes, laying his head back on the table and closes his eyes.
“That bad, huh?” he says, raising his arms to cover his eyes. “How long was I out?”
“Since the tournament finished up yesterday.” you tell him, Chilli uncovering his eyes and looking up to see you at the far end of the room. “Good news is you didn't tear anything up.”
“Beyond what will heal naturally.” Towa tells him, her tone a bit harsher and more reprimanding. “But you must let your magical circuits heal. You absolutely must NOT use magic over the next several days, or it could permanently damage you and cripple your ability to use magic. Do you understand?”

“Of course.” he replies, turning back to look at her. “What did I do wrong?”
“Honestly? I'm not sure.” she says, tone much gentler now. “I don't even know IF you did anything wrong, or if this is simply the price to pay for using the Kaio-Ken with that magical body. Nobody has ever done such a thing before, from all of history I can see.”

“Wait, really? I was the first?” he asks, Towa nodding to him. This makes Chilli smile, rolling his head back over to face Megumin. “Sorry for making you worry Megu.”
“It's fine, I'm just glad you're-” she starts, when the door is slung open. You turn, just in time to see Broly rush over to his brother's side beside Megumin.
“”I-I'm sorry Chilli.” Broly says, your adopted son seemingly on the verge of tears. “I'm so sorry. If I'd known what my attacks were actually doing to you, I wouldn't have ever-!”
“It's okay Broly.” Chilli says tiredly, despite just waking up sounding exhausted. “I didn't know either. If I'd have known what shape I was in, I would have backed off.”

“C'mon Chilli, be a little more honest.” you say, speaking up. “I saw you fighting that god, he would have decapitated you with those damned chains.”
“That was different.” Chilli says, a bit sheepishly now. “That tournament didn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. I was just using it to see how powerful combining my magical body with Cell's Kaio-Ken was, compared to Broly's power. And how well my magic could balance a fight against a skilled, physically stronger opponent with Chaya.”
“And now you know not only that, but the consequences of doing so.” Towa says as Chilli slowly pushes himself upright, sitting up on the table and hanging his legs off the side. Megumin grabs his wizardly robe off the chair she'd hung it, and as Chilli stands up she helps him put it on before giving him his hat as well. “Once your body has finished returning back to normal, we can test the Kaio-Ken in real time, and make sure everything is working properly.”

“Thanks Towa.” he says, turning towards her with a smile. “I appreciate it.”

“Take it slow, and make sure you recover kiddo.” you say, walking over and lay a hand on his shoulder. “Rest up Chilli.”
“I will.” he replies, smiling softly, but his brows furrow. “Where are you going?”
“I need to talk to your half-brother, Maza.” you say, frowning as you remember your conversation with him the day of Chilli's wedding. “He's... Well, he and I need to address something.”
“Oh, okay.” he says, clearly seeing your expression. “Is everything okay?”
“We'll see.” you say, feeling a bit unsure yourself. He's turned out a bit more arrogant than you'd expected, and clearly doesn't understand what power is for. You just hope you can convince him otherwise. “Hey, Caulifla. Mind watching your little sister for me for a bit?”

“Of course.” she says excitedly, taking her youngest sister from your arms. However, Towa seems more concerned with what you're saying than anyone.
“What happened?” she asks you, reaching out telepathically. “What did he say?”
“It was a conversation we had after the wedding.” you reply, also telepathically. “His ideals about power are a little...Off.”
“I see.” she says, clearly not understanding what you're saying but also not going to get in your way. “Let me know if you need anything.”
“I will.” you reply, raising your right hand to your forehead and focusing. You sense your oldest half-demon son's ki, it absolutely radiating as he's no doubt taken on his demonic, Primal-like form. Easy enough. And with a small exertion of will, focused on his power, you disappear. Your Instant Transmission takes you from the lab to a training room, the moment you appear it's gravity crashes down upon you. “Guh-Woah!”

“Dad?” he asks, turning around to see you struggling with the surprisingly powerful gravity weighing down on you. Then as he speaks, you hear a slightly condescending edge to his tone. “Need me to turn it back down for you?”
“Nah, I just wasn't expecting you to be training in such conditions.” you say, rising back up to your full height. “You keep surprising me kiddo.”
“Want a turn?” he asks, holding out his weights towards you. But you can see the challenge in his eyes, daring you to take them. No doubt he wants to either show off how powerful his form is, or to judge you compared to himself.

But do you accept his challenge?

You look Maza up and down, sizing him and the gravity up. You smirk back at him, reaching out and grasping the dumbbells he's holding in his hands. He seems surprised by your willingness to just accept his challenge without knowing the weight he's holding, or what the gravity is actually set to. And while it does feel far heavier on your Ascended Berserker shoulders than anything you've ever encountered while transformed, it doesn't feel any more oppressive than your normal training gravity. And while you haven't exactly done any serious gravity training since the war ended, you've spent more time in various gravity chambers than your half-demon son has been alive. There's no way you're letting your boy show you up.

“Hand those over.” you say, wrapping your hands around the weights and lifting them from Maza's hands. As you take the full mass of the weights from Maza in your hands, you feel the full weight immediately. Despite how heavy they are you refuse to show it, not giving anything away other than a slight twitch of your brow as you pull them to you, looking the weights over. “Hmm.”
“Impressive, aren't they?” he asks, crossing his arms. “I can do a continuous set of one hundred curls at this gravity.”
“Really?” you ask him, raising them both to your chest. “Alright. I'll go for two.”
“Two?” he asks, smirking. “Is that all you can do?”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPwCLgLcnow&ab_channel=BruceFaulconer-Topic

“Two hundred should be a good starter, yeah.” you say, Maza's jaw dropping as you straighten your arms and back, lowering the weights down at your sides. “Go! One! Two! Three!”

And so you begin, counting your reps aloud as you move with mechanical precision. Having done millions of these by now, your body shifts into autopilot after thirty, allowing you to better focus on what you'd come here to discuss.

“I'll count aloud every ten, because there's actually something I wanted to discuss with you.” you tell him, not slowing or speeding your arms as you continue to fire off curls one after another with no signs of slowing down.
“What's that?” he asks, looking curiously as you keep firing off curls.
“Forty. I wanted to talk to you about your power.” you tell him. “Or, more accurately, you attitude in regards to your power. Fifty.”
“What do you mean?” he asks, tilting his head curiously.
“What is power to you?” you ask him. “Why do you seek power? Sixty. Is it for power's sake, just to be the strongest you can be? Is it to protect your family? Or is it to rule over others, and make them submit to your will? Seventy.”
“Might makes right.” he says proudly, watching you with increasing shock as you continue curling his weights with no signs of slowing down. “The strong do as they wish, and the weak do as they're told. To be the Demon King, and rule all demon kind, I have to be the absolute strongest.

“Ninety.” you say, continuing your workout without slowing as you shake your head. “There's nothing wrong with being the strongest, in fact it's something you should always strive and keep working hard to be. One hundred. But might doesn't make right. If might truly made right, then the Supreme Kai of Time would be the be all and end all.”

As you say this he freezes in place, staring at you wide eyed. You certainly have his attention now, time to drive your point home.

“Strength is important, don't get me wrong. Hundred ten.” you say, your arms starting to feel the burn. But you can't afford to slow down now! “But it is not enough. If might makes right, then you would be more right than me. Because it is clear to me that your raw power in this form is even greater than mine. Hundred twen-tch! Twenty!”

You keep going, snarling through the burning in your arms as you keep going, not breaking eye contact with your son.

“The strong do as they wish, and the weak either submit or perish, is not enough!” you continue, forcing your arms to continue at that same mad pace despite the burning pain. “Fighting to prove your power isn't enough! One thirty! When your back is to the wall against a stronger foe, will your desire to be the strongest give you the strength you need to keep fighting? Will your wounded pride at someone being stronger than you, one forty, give you the resolve to keep pushing? Or will you surrender, because might makes right? One forty.”

You do the next ten in near-complete silence, the only sounds are that of your chest heaving as you struggle to keep up the breakneck pace.

“One fifty. That is what's in the back of my mind every time I train. I work to protect those I care about who're forced to suffer under the “strongest” who've made it their mission to make my family suffer. One si-gkkk! Sssixty! Every bit of pain and suffering I put myself through training is more I can take to protect you all. One seventy! What good is power if you don't have the resolve? Why are you so much stronger than I am? One eighty! Yet here I am, doubling your best performance! Because I fight for my family! One! Ninety! What matters most is your drive to win, no matter what the odds stacked against you are! Ninety five! Ninety six! Ninety seven! Ninety eight! Ninety nine! Two hundred!”

At two hundred you throw the weights down, lunge forward, and grab your oldest half-demon son in a bear hug. Which catches him by complete surprise, and as your chest heaves while you struggle to catch your breath, he hugs you back tight. He doesn't say anything, but you can just feel that he gets it now. You made your point to him in a way he can understand, now hopefully he takes it to heart and begins living it.

>is everyone enjoying our first episode of SCQ in 2022?
Yes.

By the way it's nice that all 4 Stands in Karn's family are draconic in nature. It means that "Dragon of New Salda" is actually something with real meaning not just cool nickname. That's quite interesting that every Stand is so draconic and that Karn has a dragon. Somebody could say that it would be more plausible for him to have as a Stand something more primal and related to rampaging Oozaru.

Also I'm not sure about this if it matches with actual dates but there's this theory.
>Long time ago Divine Dragon Force was just Dragon Force and was green and did not talk.
>During this time Caulifa was born and her Triumph is also mute and more similar to Dragon Force in the way her Stand behaves (not talking about skills here).
>Koruza and Okira were born when Karn already had Divine Dragon Force.
>Because of this Dark Rider and Imagine Dragon are both sentient like Divine Dragon Force.
>>
>>5105797
Hwut?
>>5105963
An interesting theory, but I can’t recall if the dates line up for such a thing. Okira certainly, but I’m not sure about Koruza.

You and Maza remain embraced for several seconds, your chest heaving as you struggle to catch your breath, when you feel him starting to pull back. You let go at the same time, stepping back and looking at your son as he looks down at his hands. His expression is unreadable, your boy clearly thinking over what you'd talked about in silence, until he slowly clenches his fists. You see his entire body tense up a bit, Maza taking a deep breath, then raises his gaze to you.

“Th...Thank you Dad.” he says simply, you nodding once in response. He then walks up, reaches down to grab the weights, then rises back to his full height in front of you. “Would...Would you mind counting for me?”
“Of course kiddo.” you say, breaking into a smile despite still catching your breath. “Now this time, you're gonna match me. Got it?”
“RIGHT!!” he shouts earnestly, grip tightening on the dumbbells as he holds them low and at the ready. “GO!”
“One, two, three.” you say, counting him out as he begins. You watch closely as your son starts out determined, but as he reaches eighty he begins slowing down. Slightly at first, but as he passes ninety his arms start losing the fire he had in the first seventy. Looks like he's getting tired, time for some motivation. “Ninety one, two, three, don't you start slowing down now! Four, five! Move those arms Maza, fight like your life depends on it! Ninety eight! Ninety nine! Don't quit now, we're only halfway done! One! Two! Three!”

You push him to surpass his limits, but despite his earlier inspiration, his physical and mental limits aren't so easily shattered. He pushes with all he has, yet once he reaches one hundred thirty five his arms completely give out and he drops the weights, falling down to his knees.

“Dammit!” he snarls, chest heaving as he struggles even to breathe. “S-So close!”
“Not bad Maza.” you say, laying a hand on his shoulder. “You beat your previous best by thirty five, not bad at all. Next time we'll go for one fifty.”
“R-Right!” he wheezes, and while he catches his breath you take the weights one more time. Time to go for two fifty!

At least an hour later you and Maza are both sweaty and exhausted, your son having in fact reached one fifty, you decide to call it quits. He shuts down the gravity chamber, and leads you out of it to the adjoining showers. So you strip down, leaving your armor and skintight suit behind, and let the scalding hot waters scour your body clean. After you're done you walk out, and looking in the cabinet beside the shower find a towel to dry yourself off with. But nothing to wear, at least nothing that'll fit you anyways.

So what do you do?

You ponder over what to do a moment, unsure how to proceed. You could wait for Maza, or even teleport over to Towa and see how things go. But then you remember Towa, or was it Future Chaya, saying that your stuff for Chilli's wedding had been made by Cell. So you decide to visit him, perhaps he'll know where a uniform in your size'll be? So you raise your right hand to your forehead, focusing on the bugman's ki, and use your Instant Transmission. One instant you're standing outside the showers, the next you appear behind the man. As soon as you do, his body blazes with golden energy as he immediately transforms into his Golden form.

“Nice try!” he roars, turning and without hesitation fires a powerful wave of ki directly at you. “HAAAAAA!!”
“SHI-!!!” you say, his overwhelming attack immediately overwhelming you and sends you flying backwards while scorching you. Crying out in agony you slam back-first into a wall, but the wall doesn't give. His attack presses you harder into the unyielding metal, you feeling like you're going to be crushed as his beam obliterates you, but then suddenly it just ends. Without that force pressing you into the wall, you fall limply forward and flop to the ground. The world goes dark, you struggling to keep your eyes open as your vision tunnels. Everything is going numb, you unable to feel your body.
“Wait, Karn?” you hear Cell ask, his voice coming through as if he's down a long tunnel. “Dammit. Hold on, I'll be right back.”

He quits talking, you struggling to remain conscious when suddenly you hear a familiar voice shouting your name. You can't remember who it is, but their voice is certainly comforting. Then you feel it. A cool, soothing feeling begins washing over your body, your aches and pains quickly vanishing. After a dozen seconds or though, the sensation ends. And you feel great, better than you were before teleporting to Cell, and push yourself upright.

“Are you okay?” Caulifla asks, you turning towards her then giving her a smile and pat on the head.
“Of course. Thanks kiddo.” you tell her, then turn to Cell. “Sorry for that, I wasn't trying to sneak up on you or anything.”
“My apologies. I should have identified the target before simply firing off a blast like that.” he says, giving you a small bow as he reverts to his non-golden form. “And now I've gone and destroyed your uniform as well.”
“Actually, that's what I was showing up for.” you tell him with a chuckle. “I just got through training Maza, and needed a new uniform. So I figured I'd ask you, since I heard you made the uniforms for Chilli's wedding.”
“Of course, hold still.” he says, leveling his right hand at your forehead. “Clothes Beam!”

His blinding energy envelops you, wrapping tight around your body for several moments before quickly fading away to reveal a suit nearly identical to your own on you. As you look it over, the only noticeable difference is the colors seem slightly off, a touch brighter than your own. But to immediately create an entire uniform out of seemingly nothing is quite the impressive ability.

“Woah! That's so cool!” Caulifla shouts excitedly, almost bouncing up and down as she starts throwing her own armor off. “Me too, me too!”
“Hahaha, very well.” he says, turning to your daughter as she finishes taking off her suit. He then levels his hand at her, then before firing asks her. “So, do you want a suit like your father's?”
“Yeah! That would be awesome!” she shouts, beaming up at him excitedly. He chuckles again, and fires off his blast again.
“Clothes Beam!” he calls, his golden energy enveloping your daughter. You watch the attack from the outside this time, and as it fades see your daughter is now wearing a suit identical to your own. “Well? What do you think?”
“I LOVE IT!” she shouts excitedly, twisting herself around and looking at her newly-gifted uniform. “That's so cool! Do you think you can teach me that Clothes Beam? I wanna be able to do that too!”
“I can teach it, sure. But it will be up to you if you learn it or not.” he tells her seriously. “Are you ready?”
“Let's do it!” she shouts, still incredibly excited at the chance of picking up the technique. You walk up and ruffle her hair, telling her to have fun before waving to Cell, and walking from the room. It hurt quite a bit more than you thought it would, but you have yourself a new uniform to wear around.

But what do you do now?

Clenching your fist a couple times, you feel quite a bit more powerful than before Cell nearly obliterated you. You wonder if he dealt enough damage to trigger another zenkai, but without a scouter have no way to really check and see just how much so. You're sure he dealt some serious damage to you, hell it could have possibly even been lethal without Caulifla's assistance. For a second you contemplate going back in and giving her another round of headpats, but you leave it alone and instead decide to check in on Chilli. Focusing your ki sense, you can sense his ki below you, the only energy by his being Megumin's.

“Easy enough.” you say, raising your right hand to your forehead then teleport by your son and his wife's side. But before you do, learning from your previous mistake, reach out to him telepathically. “Hey kiddo, I need to show you something.”
“Sure?” he replies questioningly, you focusing and activating your Instant Transmission appear by them both. Leaving the hallway behind, you find yourself inside what seems to be a storage room, dozens upon dozens of giant metal boxes lining the room. Both of the youngsters are standing over one of them, it still sealed as you appear. “Hey. What're you guys up to?”
“We could sense a lot of magical energy coming from this room, and decided to check it out.” Chilli answers, gesturing to the box before them. “Especially from this one, it seems to be radiating with the most magical energy.”

“It could be something super-cool and powerful!” Megumin says, eyes almost sparkling. “Let's open it!”
“Hold on.” you say, raising a hand and stopping her. “We should ask Towa first, before randomly opening up these things. It could be a trap set for invaders.”
“A trap?” she asks, head tilting in confusion as Chilli's eyes widen in understanding. “Like what?”
“Like a bomb, or a mimic or something.” he answers, now clearly worried. “I don't think opening these are a good idea anymore, at least until we know there isn't a trap in them.”
“Aww, that's no fun.” she says, pouting and deflating a bit. But she doesn't say anything as Chilli picks up the large box, and flies up to the top of the stack of identical boxes, replacing it.
“Let's go ask Towa.” he says, turning to you. “We got kinda lost wandering our way down here, mind teleporting us up there?”
“No problem.” you say, holding out your left hand while returning your right to your forehead. “Hold on.”

And once Chilli grabs your hand, his other holding Megumin's, you once again teleport. This time to Towa's side, appearing right back in the lab you all had first appeared in.

“I see you two found that room.” she says, turning from her seat at a rather large display and facing you three. “And it is probably for the best that you all hadn't attempted to open them. After all, even I don't know what is in all of these things.”
“Wait, even you don't know?” you ask, surprised. “How?”
“Mechikabura brought us to this place, after escaping from the Time Nest.” Towa explains. “This was another Towa's laboratory, at least a lab in progress of being built, before something happened to her. I'm still not sure what exactly, or when this timeline is, but since this place was abandoned we were able to move in, and set up our temporal defenses.”

“I see.” you say, understanding now why it appears that some parts of this facility are incomplete. Because it IS incomplete, as Towa doubtlessly spent her time making it impossible to infiltrate instead of finishing the siding in the halls, or other less-important tasks.

“However, she left behind many strange implements and magical artifacts.” Towa continues. “Once you've finished recovering Chilli, I would appreciate both your and Megumin's help in safely identifying these objects.
“Of course!” Megumin says immediately, eyes sparkling. “I'd love to!”
“I'll help too.” Chilli tells her, Towa smiling at them both.
“Excellent. The sooner you rest, and let yourself recover, the sooner you will be able to help.” Towa tells him, then turns back to her screens.
“Hey, in the meantime, Koruza showed me something you'd appreciate.” you say, drawing both his and Megumin's attention. “Want to see it?”
“Sure.” he replies, the two following as you lead them out of the lab. Taking the correct turns through the halls, you pull back up to the familiar heavy double doors after only a few minutes of walking. You step to them, grabbing the handles and with a grunt heave. The doors move far easier than you remember, you throwing them wide and revealing the dark library.

“Oh wow, look at this study!” Megumin says, eyes wide as she looks around at the shelves lining the walls. “There are so many books!”
“Wow...” Chilli says, lost for words. You smirk, ready to blow their minds, and focus on Megumin.
“Hey, Megumin. Mind giving me a small blast in the fireplace to light it up?” you ask, the Crimson Demon stepping forward confidently and leveling her staff at the fireplace.
“Explosion!” she calls, a tiny blast bursting inside the stone chimney. But it does the trick, igniting the wood inside. Which also causes the lamps, currently shrouded in darkness, to blink on one after another. “How was...... Woah....”

As she turns around, the lights come on, and both kids look up, their eyes drawn by the light. And up, and up as the lights continue blinking on, revealing the wealth of knowledge contained in this room. Both of their eyes sparkle at seeing so many books, you smiling to yourself. Oh yeah, they're definitely going to enjoy this room.

“Help yourselves.” you say, Chilli tearing his gaze from the possibly thousands of books on the wall to look at you. Then without a word he walks over, and wraps his arms around you. Which is a surprising gesture, but not unwelcome, you hugging your son back as he holds onto you.
“Thank you.” he says, voice a choked whisper as he holds onto you. You don't say anything back, and simply pat him on the back as Megumin looks on. Her face is conflicted, but still has a small smile as she turns, looking at the books again and giving you both the moment.
“If you need anything, let me know kiddo.” you tell him, then after another moment or two he lets go, you doing the same and walking to the door. “Relax, and rest up you two. It's been a long day, enjoy some quiet time to yourselves.”

Then you head out the door without another word, pulling the heavy doors shut behind you and leaving the young couple to enjoy their reading in peace. After all that's what they need most, some restful peace and quiet. However, almost as soon as you have the thought, you feel Future Chaya's energy blazing as it swells to titanic proportions, and beside her Ace's ki simply vanishes. And you know what that means.

QM UPDATE/QUESTIONS

Now that I’ve settled a bit more into using the new setup for actual questing, did anyone notice any differences? At least as far as formatting and the like go? Ready for an epilogue (hopefully)tomorrow typed fully from an actual keyboard? And now that I have the setup, I’ll actually be able to meticulously go through the pastebins, correcting errors that have stood for months that I just haven’t had the time to go through on my phone before. 2022 is going to hopefully be a year of big changes for this quest, including hopefully a site to save all the quest art and a patreon for commissioning even more pieces made as I’m hoping on getting even more made this year than last. I have a lot of big plans for this year, here’s hoping this year isn’t derailed like the last one!

Its looking good, a lot of the old typos you would make aren't there anymore. And by next week I'm looking forward to making more money than I've ever seen in a month with single paychecks. I'm just passing the time before trying to vote this year so RINOs and Demorats are ripped out, then spending my money on that Patreon to make more art.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 168 Intermission-

AGE 375, HIDDEN BASE 4

“So, were you able to erase the mind control on our 'guest'?” you ask the ancient Demon God Mechikabura as he walks through the automatic door, it sliding shut behind him. But, to your surprise he doesn't seem to be in nearly as good a mood as the day he freed the Time Patrol's star, Ace. Perhaps something went wrong?
“No.” he says gruffly, clearly irritated.
“Damn, did she improve her controls?” you ask, genuinely curious. But the murderous glare your senior gives silences you immediately.
“No. She hasn't used any new techniques on him. Or any at all, for that matter.” Mechikabura says, your jaw dropping. “He's a loyal, willing servant to that damned Time Kai.”
“No way, really?” you ask, astonished. “I knew Trunks was an idiot, but really? Really?!”

“Unless her abilities have increased more than a hundred fold, there is no way she has him in any sort of magical mind control.” he answers, making you think. You are Fu: son of a Towa and Mira who were erased along with everyone else from the original reality, and survived by means unknown. You were taken under the new Demon God Dumplin's wing, and thanks to his power and teachings you were able to grow strong enough to stand on your own, and forge your own path. And now that Mechikabura has been revived, thanks to a Towa he manipulated into using the Demon God's Dark Dragon Balls to revive him, you have decided that working with him is your best chance for success. Having seen the Supreme Kai of Time and her minions fail over and over to defeat a single nobody Saiyan. And through his battles with them, he had unlocked his inner potential and ascended to heights few Saiyans have aver achieved. “That idiot actually believes in not only her, but in their cause as well.”

“What a moron.” you say with a sigh. “Does he at least know how to get through the barrier?”
“No. She was smart enough to keep him in the dark about a majority of the more powerful security measures.” Mechikabura says, tone irritated. “However, there is one way in. In the cliffs beneath the city there is a hidden cave, and within that cave is a hidden time machine. One the Supreme Kai of Time set up, allowing Trunks to revisit 'his' past.”
His past?” you ask, catching his emphasis on the phrasing. “What do you mean?”
“I doubt it truly is his past, but it's more than likely set to travel to and from a small fragment of an already-erased timeline she preserved, to keep him in line. But if I can find that bubble of time, we'll have our way in.”

A way in. Mechikabura's actually found it, a way past most of the Supreme Kai of Time's defenses, and a direct path right into Conton City itself. It's almost too good to be true; so good in fact that you have your doubts that it's really real, and not a ploy to see if you are leaking information from him to her.

“She really left something that exploitable?” you finally ask him, very carefully choosing your words. “Wouldn't she leave some sort of security measures in place?”
“Of course. And with only this one having access to such a place, any discerning traps wouldn't activate themselves.” the true Demon God says. “However, once we attack, I shall be able to overpower any sort of trap subtle enough not to be noticed. Especially once my power has been restored. Have any of the other Dark Dragon Balls appeared?”
“Not yet, unless they've appeared within the last two minutes.” you say, turning back to your computers. After a few seconds of typing, you finish checking and see that no new energy signatures resembling or matching that of the Dark Dragon Balls have appeared across the known timelines' branches. “Still negative on that one.”
“Keep watching closely for now, I have a feeling the next one will appear within the next few days.” Mechikabura says, turning and walking from the room. And considering last time he “had a feeling” about when one would appear he was correct, you have no doubt it'll appear soon. “Soon I shall regain my youth, and restore my power to what it once was.”

The automatic door shuts behind the elder Demon God, and as you hear the tapping of his cane slowly fading away, you remember back to three days ago, when you first caught and captured that boy.

“That one will do. Let’s cut it down and go-“” Cell says, creating a Destructo Disc and pitching it low to the ground towards the three. But whatever he was saying is interrupted, as a sudden flash of light appears between Cell’s disc and the tree. You hear the disc shatter as Trunks appears, swinging his sword down onto and destroying the disc.
“I don’t know what your plans are, but I will not allow you to-!” Trunks declares, then seemingly notices Ace. “Wait, Ace? You’re... You’re with-?”
“Get outta our way!” Chaya roars, sounding furious as she flashes up into her Apex form then blitzes straight at Trunks. However, three more flashes appear, directly between Chaya and Trunks. And as this brightness fades, you see even more familiar faces: the Three Idiots! And Doto’s caught Chaya in his counter! “Wha-?”
“Try something.” Doto says, blowing Chaya away from them. She flips back, landing on all fours and sliding to a stop behind you with a snarl.

“I’ll handle Fu.” Trunks says, flashing up into his divine Super Saiyan God form as he squares up. “I’ll leave them to you.”

Those idiots all start trash talking, but your focus is on the boy godling before you. And realize that you now not have the perfect test subject to try out your new invention on, but if it works you'll be able to take enough divine Saiyan ki to fuel your experiments for months. You absolutely cannot let this chance slip through your fingers!

“You think you can stop me?” you ask Trunks, right hand slowly going over towards your sword as Trunks' right hand immediately moves up to his sword hilt as well, drawing it a quarter-inch out of the scabbard. You smirk, letting your demonic aura blaze to life around your body as you take on your Super Demon form. “Show me what you can do.”
“You won't escape this time!” Trunks roars, exploding off the ground towards you. As he launches himself forward you do the same, drawing and swinging your sword with smooth, practiced efficiency.

CLANG

“Hmph, not bad.” you say, sliding to a stop at the spot where he'd been standing, feeling the stinging sensation as the cold breeze blows over the shallow cut he managed to score across your cheek. Impressive.
“Gyuh!' you hear Trunks spit up blood, turning and looking over your shoulder as he drops down to a knee. “D-Dammit!”
“Don't tell me that's it?” you ask, turning around and facing him. “Really? And here I was hoping for more.”
“N-No way!” Trunks shouts, left hand clutching the slash across his chest as he raises the enchanted sword in his right. “I'm never giving up!”
“That's the spirit!” you say jovially, crouching and holding your sword horizontally before you. “C'mon, dig deep and show me some of that Saiyan pride!”
“Grrr! Stop underestimating me!” Trunks roars, drawing his sword arm back. And to your surprise, the blade begins glowing a soft blue. Wait, is he going to-? “Brave Sword Slash!!”

And as Trunks roars he swings, a slashing blade of energy leaping from his blade towards you. Immediately you leap into the air, his first slash passing harmlessly underneath your feet. But he doesn't stop with one, firing slash after slash after slash towards you. His attacks are quick, but you're quicker, dodging blade after blade with ease as you fly higher and higher. And after a dozenish blades thrown your way, Trunks quits swinging his sword, blasting up off the ground towards you. Perfect.

“You won't get away!” he shouts, blazing a path up towards you. Smirking you move, leaving an afterimage behind as you dash forward a few yards, then turn and sheath your blade just as Trunks swings his sword through your image. His blade passes right through without resistance, you seizing the opportunity to strike. “Wha-?!”

“Too slow.” you say teasingly while dashing right past him, drawing your prototype out of your pocket with a counterclockwise spin and drive it point-first into his chest. “But you'll make an excellent test subject!”
“Guh! Wh-what?!” Trunks exclaims, dropping his sword as he reaches towards his chest and your spiked device protruding from it with both hands. “What is this?”
“A brand new experimental device I conceived.” you say, Trunks crying out in pain as several secondary anchors fire from the main spike, burying themselves into his ribs. Trunks' entire body spasms, the Time Breaker-crested emerald gem beginning to glow. “While this device is embedded in your body, it will quickly siphon off your energy. And trying to blast it apart won't work either, as the gem on the back side functions near-identically to Doctor Gero's energy siphons.”
“N-No way!” he says, eyes wide with fear. He clearly understands the situation he's in, immediately taking a breath to shout for help. You have to strike now!

“Dimension Slash!” you call, slicing your blade through the air and opening a temporal portal directly behind him.
“HEL-!” he shouts, you dashing forward and slamming shoulder-first into him, driving both you and Trunks directly into the portal you'd cut. Space distorts around you for several seconds, then when it ends you and the boy both emerge directly into the Towa's lab you'd just left.
“What the-?!” she exclaims, turning and shouting as the two of you suddenly appear behind her. “FU!?”
“Don't worry, I implanted my prototype successfully!” you say happily, Trunks raising his hands towards you and trying to fire his creatively-named Burning Attack. But between his thumbs and fingers, only a fingertip-sized tiny pinpoint of energy appears instead of the large fiery blast, which burns itself out after traveling less than a foot. “See? I've completely neutered his ability to fight back.”

“You bastard!” Trunks shouts, drawing his right fist back and swinging for your head. But you don't even attempt to block, his fist striking you square on the jaw. But you barely feel it, as Trunks' divine glow faded away the moment he started to swing. From the time his punch started to the instant it connected with your jaw, his hair fully reverted from red to purple, power plummeting dramatically.
“See? I told you it'll work.” you say smugly, Trunks looking wide-eyed at his fist as he pulls it away from your jaw. Then before he can react, you kick out with your left leg, shin slamming into the side of his right knee. It breaks with a sickening crunch, the Time Patroller crying out in agony as he falls helplessly to the ground. “One helpless Super Saiyan God, hand-delivered.”

“Excellent work, Fu.” Mechikabura says, stepping through a portal of his own beside Towa. “It would seem your little experiment was a success, and now we have her favorite slave in our possession.”
“Mechikabura!” Trunks shouts in shock, still clutching his ruined knee. “Damn you! You won't get away with this!”
“But we already have.” he replies smugly. “I am going to discover all of your precious Kai's secrets, and once I know everything, I shall erase your memories of being captured, and return you to your boss none the wiser. Fu, set him up in that chair.”
“Sure thing boss.” you say cheerfully, grabbing him by the scruff and lifting him into the air. But as you do, two more figures appear in the room.

“Here, I got the Christma-” Cell says, freezing as he sees Trunks and Mechikabura are now here. “Ah. I see. Well then, since you all are clearly busy, I'll take this elsewh-”
“If you would please, take it to Chaya's room.” Towa says, when suddenly Churai returns with both Ace and Chaya.
“Wh-What the hell?!” Chaya shouts, looking between Fu, Mechikabura, and Trunks with shock clear on her face. “What's going on here?”
“Oh, nothing to worry yourself with child.” Mechikabura says to her smoothly, you seeing what you recognize as a sly grin come to his face. “Fu saw his opportunity to get me my own Christmas gift.”
“Oooooh, okay.” Chaya says in understanding, looking from Trunks to you back to the old Demon God, before glaring at Trunks and crossing her arms. “Well, I hope he suffers for his crimes. A lot.”

“Do not worry about that. His fate will be... unpleasant.” Mechikabura says, smile turning cruel. He then turns to Towa, talking shop. “Go ahead with your plans, and once the young one is ready give me the signal. I shall need his powers of Chaos once I'm through with this one. Then the three of you left their domain, and left them to their Earthling holiday while Mechikabura dove into Trunks' mind. He's been in there with him for days now, not sleeping or eating but focusing fully on delving through the boy's mind. So he no doubt needs to rest after such exertions. And now is your time to check on your prototype. Rising up out of your chair, you turn to the door Mechikabura'd come from, it sliding open and revealing the boy's still laying helplessly where you'd bound him days ago. Your prototype is still firmly lodged into his chest, the emerald gem glowing red with stolen divine power. And you actually feel kinda bad for him. Despite how stupid he can be, and how much of a pain in the ass he is, the kid's had a pretty shit life. Timelines like his own are what you're hoping to avoid by siding with Mechikabura, once he's in charge you'll be allowed to make changes to different timelines for the better.

“Go....Ha....?” Trunks asks deliriously, eyes slowly opening to see you instead of his late mentor. His expression falls from hope to despair, immediately closing his eyes and sighing out, defeated. “Oh. Your turn to torture me then? Get on with it, but I already told Mechikabura everything I know.”
“I believe you.” you say, grabbing a chair and sitting down, resting your arms on it's back as you look at him. “I just came to make sure my prototype is still working.”
“Of course it is.” he says flatly, no emotion left in his broken voice. “If I had the power left to fight back, I would have ended myself already to deny giving you or your master anything.”
“I think you misunderstand what Mechikabura is hoping to achieve.” you say to him, choosing your words carefully. “When he wins, we'll be able to make timelines better places. All of them, for everyone. Children like you won't be born into hopeless worlds, forced to pointlessly suffer at the hands of cruel, callous tyrants.”

“Save the sales pitch, I'm not buying.” he says, his voice so lifeless and dull you can hardly believe it's the same man who'd tried standing against you despite the wide power gap. What did Mechikabura do to him? You walk over, feeling a bit curious, and see that your prototype is in fact still pierced into him through his black coat he favors these days. However, you also see something else. The flesh around the wound you'd inflicted has refused to heal, and is in fact beginning to turn black and necrotic. Tendrils of dead flesh worm their way deeper into his chest, following no doubt the paths the anchors made connecting your prototype more firmly to his entire rib cage.

“What the hell?” you mutter, the confusion no doubt apparent on your face. You hadn't foreseen such an outcome, why is the flesh not healing properly? This device was meant to capture powerful enemies so they could be used as hostages, not killing them outright. But what is causing it? You had designed the spike to excrete a mix of Senzu bean oils and light restorative magics directly into the victim, as well as filling the injection site with an anesthetic to dull the pain. None of the chemicals nor spells you used would cause the flesh to begin actually dying and decaying like this, so why is it happening? Did Mechikabura tamper with your prototype? “This isn't right. Trunks, I need you to tell me something. Did Mechikabura touch my power seal? Did he tamper with it in any way?”

“Dunno.” Trunks says lifelessly, sounding as dead as the flesh decaying around your tool. But as you examine it, you can see that the tool is otherwise doing it's job, Trunks' ki feeling nearly non-existent while the spike's gem is absolutely glowing. But you have to verify how much power it's containing, so you reach out and gently place your right palm atop the gem while opening your ki sense.

Immediately you can sense it, the power now being barely-contained by your device. During the fight when it first drained him, and took so much of his energy he couldn't even properly punch you, his power wasn't even close to being on par with your own. But examining the gem's stored energy now, his is godly Saiyan energy has completely consumed every last bit of his normal ki it had absorbed. Now the gem is filled with so much divine ki that it's already exceeded your parameters for testing on your originally-planned test subject, and there's no telling how much more it can hold before something fails. Dammit, you hadn't foreseen this! If something doesn't change, and soon, your prototype could fail! And anything from returning his energy to him, to the device detonating in a blast capable of erasing half your fortress from the sheer quantity of stored energy. You hadn't taken into account how divine energy multiplies itself dozens upon dozens of times over when consuming large quantities of mortal energy, like with the Super Saiyan God ritual.

“Uhhh, wait here.” you say to Trunks, who doesn't even reply as you hurry through the door. You rush out the door, and shout out before you even process what your eyes are seeing. “Hey, Mechika-! Oh, sorry.”
“What's wrong?” he asks, brows furrowed in concern. “Did he escape?”
“No, but if we don't act soon, we're going to have problems.” you tell him, and quickly get him up to speed on what you discovered about your prototype and the bugs you need to work out. “And if it blows, half this fortress will probably disappear, along with Trunks.”
“Well then, good news is we're done with him, and I've already sent the signal.” he tells you. “I got everything from him I can use. Once you grab him, we're leaving, and will be visiting the Saiyan Karn. His son's Chaos magic will be able to undo the past several days from Trunks, and we can return him to the moment he was taken with no knowledge of what happened, and no way for her to observe what happened to him either.”
“Wait, we're going to New Salda?” you ask, Mechikabura smirking.

“No, they're now at that Towa's lab, since she helped his son recover from using the Kaio-Ken so recklessly.” Mechikabura says, piquing your interest. How did such a young kid even learn of the Kaio-Ken, much less master it to a usable level? Even for Saiyans such a feat is something relatively few have ever achieved, much less by a kid who hasn't even reached puberty yet. Seems this visit to that unique Towa's lab will be quite the educational experience indeed. So much data to collect, and from such interesting subjects as well! You can feel yourself getting excited just thinking about it, this is gonna be fun!

Karn will have his chance to address Trunks. However, whatever is said to him will be forgotten as Mechikabura wants Trunks reset back to how he was before Fu sends him back. And Chilli learns just how powerful Mechikabura is
>>
That Necrosis is incredibly suspect. Hidden kill measure in Trunks?
>>
>>5111228
Not quite. I will say it is in fact directly related to Fu’s new device.
>>
>>5111245
....why does he have it?
>>
>>5111307
Why does Fu have it? Because he’s the one who designed and built it.
>>
>>5111329
Okay, that was my fault for asking in the wrong way, why did he make it?
>>
>>5111330
Ah that's a much better question. Instead of simply killing off powerful fighters, and having them all be revived by the next fight, this will make their capture far easier. Allowing Mechikabura's forces to Dark Mask the Supreme Kai of Time's forces, and use them against her. But not yet. It clearly has a problem to address that perhaps someone with an outside perspective will notice.
>>
>>5111342
Is it because Trunks is a halfsies boi?
>>
>>5111342
That makes some sense, but that's a hell of a drawback.
>>
>>5111345
No, it’s because Mechikabura can see one’s potential. Or lack thereof, thanks to his ability to peer through the timelines.

You say that like the device isn’t removable, by someone other than the one it’s stuck to, once they’ve been made a compliant servant.

>You are Fu: son of a Towa and Mira who were erased along with everyone else from the original reality, and survived by means unknown.
Wow. This is a big news. I was thinking he was from current reality. If he is not, then he most probably has no fate as well and who knows what other traits beings that have survived destruction of their entire reality have. I mean I think beings like Mechikabura, Dumplin, Fu and Supreme Kai of Time from certain perspective are bigger anomalies than Karn is.
Karn has no fate but he is from this reality. Though Dragon Force may not be and is the last thing that remained after the "erased Karn" from that epilogue where Dumplin got Dark Factor and Chronoa erased all.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After the tournament finals, Chilli was still unconscious at the end of the day. Towa, the time-traveling demon princess invited Karn and his family all to her realm, now that her defenses are fully ready. Once there she examined Chilli while Karn took Okira and Caulifla with him and Koruza, all the Stand wielding family getting together in one place. After a long conversation Towa informed him that Chilli was okay, Karn returning to his son just in time for him to awaken. After seeing for himself that his son was okay, and hearing her warnings to him not to use his magic as well, Karn then went to his oldest half-demon son Maza, for a long-overdue talk about values before nearly getting obliterated by Golden Cell. Caulifla showed interest in his Clothes Beam after healing her father, Karn leaving her to learn as he returned to Chilli's side and showed him to the library Koruza had shown him. But as we rejoin Karn, just closing the private library's doors behind you, you sensed Future Chaya's powerlevel surge up to levels only possible with her Apex form. You can tell something big is about to go down, and waste no time teleporting directly there. Leaving the hallway behind, you find yourself standing next to Future Chaya, staring down Ace in his godly, deep blue aura'd form. But that's not all, as a now-familiar crimson glow is blazing around his sparkling blue aura. Hold on, isn't that what Chilli-?

“Kaio-Ken!” Ace roars, crimson aura spiking up around his blue aura. You cannot sense his energy in the divine form, but you feel the tremendous pressure radiating off of him suddenly double as he uses the Kaio-Ken technique. Before you can even brace yourself for it, the shock wave from his powering up pushes you back, sliding back across the gravity chamber floor a dozen-ish feet before sliding to a stop.
“Woah!” you exclaim, surprised by the sudden explosion of his power.
“Daddy?” Future Chaya asks, surprised by your sudden appearance and immediately being blasted away. “Wha-?!”
“Sensed you going all-in kiddo, thought I'd come see what's happening.” you say, relaxing as Ace ends his Kaio-Ken.
“Well how about you go a round with Ace first?” she asks, grinning. “He's never fought you, you know, when it's not to the death.”

“You know, why not?” you reply, turning from Future Chaya to face Ace fully. “You game?”
“Sure.” he replies with a nod. “Should I go first, or-/”
“HAAA!” you shout, clenching your fists and immediately ascending up to your Ascended Berserker form. You gain a couple feet on Ace, bulking up and out to your full-power size. But you're not done there! Focusing on your right hand, you release the seal Towa'd given you, and let that demonic power flow. That dark energy surges up through you, changing and strengthening your body. Your skin turns more purplish as your hair begins shining white, aura turning demonic as you unleash the full might of the Supervillain form. “Show me everything you've got, Ace.”

“I will.” he says seriously, closing his eyes an leaning forward as he clenches his fist. You watch as his blue aura begins blazing up higher and higher, then with a roar his transformation finishes. His pale blue hair is now a deep, dark blue, his aura matching it as he stares you down. But this extra-sparkly blue isn't everything, as Ace once more roars. “KAIO-KEN!!”
“WOAH!” Future Chaya says to Ace excitedly as he takes his fighting stance. “Hell yeah! This is gonna be amazing!”

“Bring it on!” you say, taking your own stance as well. You and Ace stare each other down, neither moving as you study each other intensely. His stance is surprisingly similar to you own, the younger man not breaking eye contact and looking for the moment to strike instead of rushing in blindly. He's wizened up it seems. But considering how your Supervillain form drains your power, you can't afford to spend time standing still. So you throw your right fist forward, and unleash the first attack of the match. “HAA!!”

A shock wave blasts out from your fist, Ace mirroring your attack and punching the air as well. The two opposing forces clash, unleashing a powerful burst of air, you immediately kicking off the ground and dash towards him. You swing, this time with a heavy left, your fist smashing against his right forearm. He immediately retaliates with a left of his own, but instead of simply blocking it use your Djem So technique, swatting his arm aside with your forearm. You knock his arm wide, twisting your lower body and with your right leg kick Ace right in the ribs.

“Guh-!” he exhales as you twist, swinging again with your left. But as he's wincing from the heavy kick he still keeps himself aware, copying your Djem So defense and knocking your right punch aside with his right forearm then immediately fires back with a left jab of his own. “HYAH!”

As his fist races towards your face, you evade the only way you can and flip your entire body backwards. His fist sails harmlessly over your head, you flipping back and fire off a left kick that catches him in the jaw. Your kick staggers him back, you flipping and landing on all fours. But you stay on the ground only for an instant, exploding off the ground at full force and drive your right elbow directly into his face. He twitches his head aside at the last second, narrowly avoiding taking the powerful blow directly to his nose, which would have no doubt broken it and stunned him. But he's a bit faster than you, instead taking the crushing blow to his cheek.

“TCH!” he snarls through clenched teeth as his head snaps back, your blow rocking him and leaving him wide open. So you take advantage of the opening, twisting clockwise and driving a powerful left uppercut square into his guts. “GUUH!”
“HRYAAAA!” you roar, firing off a quick pair of straight rights into his face followed up with a left hook to his temple, a right uppercut to the jaw, then finish off the quick combination by spinning counterclockwise, and kick him upside the head with a left roundhouse kick to the temple. Your kick sends him spinning out of control, crashing to the ground and rolling over a couple times before rolling back onto his hands and feet, sliding to a stop. But instead of pressing the advantage you stop, retaking your fighting stance as he cautiously rises back up off the ground.

“Nice one Daddy!” Future Chaya shouts excitedly as he retakes his fighting stance as well, no longer smiling but now his face is a neutral mask. But you can tell he's clearly annoyed, as blood drips from his right nostril. “C'mon Ace, fight back!”

You got the better of him out the gate, but what now?

I guess it's to be expected given how Ace did nothing but soak up techniques for years.

“Try and resist this!” you say, clenching your fists and letting your aura blaze as you raise your power back to it's peak. But as you do you begin focusing, drawing your power in towards yourself. Drawing that demonic energy in, you begin compressing and hardening it around your body. Your energy forms a shield-like barrier around yourself, seemingly outlining your body in shimmering energy. Uncrossing your arms, you don't even bother retaking your fighting stance and charge directly at him. “HRRYAAAA!!”
“HAAAAA!!” Ace shouts, kicking off the ground and driving his right fist square into your face. As he does you smirk, not stopping your charge. You see the sudden fear in his eyes as his punch is completely ineffective, you charging through his attack and swinging your right arm forward. “WHA-?!”

Your right hand slams into his face, you grabbing him by the head and slamming him straight into the arena floor. But with your momentum you don't stop immediately, driving the back of his head into the ground for several feet before sliding to a stop. You stand tall, holding him up and Ace tries retaliating again.

“Kaio-Ken!” he shouts, that crimson aura blazing up around him again. This time he drives his right knee square up into your chin, and actually rocks your head back a bit. But it isn't enough for the blow to actually hurt, you leaning back down against his knee and grinning maliciously at him. You see the color fade a bit from his face, then before he can think you throw him upwards. “Wha-WOAH!”

Then as you throw him up you grab him by the right ankle, and spin him in two quick circles over your head before swinging downwards, smashing Ace down back-first into the heavily-reinforced floor. You then step back with your left, spinning and swinging him overhead to smash into the ground on the other side as well. You swing him over and over, smashing him into the ground a half dozen total times before raising him up and slamming your fist into his guts while holding him upside down. You let him go as you swing, your punch sending him flying straight across the room to slam back-first into the far wall. But to your surprise, Ace doesn't stay down for any time at all.

“Kaio-Ken! Times THREE!!”

“Times wha-?” you say, Ace somehow instantly closing the distance and kicking you in the face with his aura blazing even higher than before. And unlike his earlier punch, this kick actually knocks you back a step. You plant your right foot behind you, bracing yourself to avoid being knocked away. “Tch!”
“No way.” Ace says, eyes wide as you turn your head back to face him, a small trickle of blood pouring from your mouth. You smirk back, and with your left hand reach up and grab him once more by the ankle. The former Time Patroller immediately panics, twisting his entire body as he stomping kicks you square in the face with his left, trying to break himself free. But it's useless, you immediately swinging him overhead and slamming him into the ground once more.

“HAAA!!” you shout, once more slamming him into the ground. But as you raise him to slam him on your other side, once more he roars.
“TIMES FOUR!!” he roars, crimson aura surging as he twists, jerking his leg free and kicking you with a spinning left kick to the temple. Again he staggers you, but before he can pull his leg free you grab it, throwing him immediately away then lunging after him. Ace flips backwards, landing on his feet and blasting away as you close in, your right fist slamming into the ground where he'd landed an instant before. Before you can get up he closes back in, and swings a two-handed hammer fist into the back of your head. “HRRRAAAAAAA!!!”
“Tch!” you seethe through clenched teeth, actually feeling that one. You feel your vision lose focus for a moment, but don't simply fall over. You retaliate, swinging your right elbow back at him. Your immediate retaliation catches him off guard, and over your shoulder see that crimson aura around him simply vanish. You then rise up, twisting counterclockwise and slam a spinning back fist into the back of Ace's neck.

“Gya-!” he exclaims as he's hit, your blow stunning him. Ace drops, falling to the ground. However, before he falls down he catches himself with his hands, kicking forward and getting free before you can deal any more damage with his back turned. Blasting away, he runs all the way to the far wall before stopping his charge, spinning and sliding back-first against the wall. “D-Dammit. No way, even times four wasn't enough to win?”
“Don't give up Ace! Keep going Daddy!” Future Chaya shouts, cheering you both on excitedly. “You can do it!”

“What is this?” Ace asks you, panting as he struggles to catch his breath. His deep blue sparkling aura is still flared up around him, but that crimson aura is nowhere to be seen. “Why aren't my attacks working?”
“It's my Energy Body technique.” you tell him, retaking your fighting stance. “You're gonna have to hit me a lot harder than usual for any damage to get through this armor.”
“Alright, bring it! TIMES FOUR!!” he bellows, crimson aura once again blazing wildly around him. One instant he's roaring, the next he's closed the distance and swings. He's too fast for you to track, slamming his right fist into your jaw. He slams into you hard, harder than any punch you've taken so far, and nearly knocks you off your feet. Sliding back you plant your feet, and swing a right back in return. But your fist passes harmlessly through him, or rather the afterimage he left behind. As his image fades a powerful blow slams into your right side, winding you.

“Guaah-?!” you exclaim as all the wind is forced from your body, wincing and throwing a right elbow back to try and retaliate. But Ace is too quick, again vanishing as you swing. Then a powerful blow slams into your back, knocking you off your feet with enough force you gasp in shock. But you don't just fall, instead tucking into a roll that brings you right back up to your feet. As you rise back up, sliding on your heels and spinning to face Ace, you cross your arms in front of your face, and focus. You harden your armor even more, condensing it further and further until your armor is so powerful you wouldn't be able to move. This is it, your Unmovable Energy Body! There's no way he'll be able to knock you around like this. Right?

“HAAAA!!” Ace bellows, appearing by your right side and slamming his left fist into the side of your head. However, you barely feel it, his fist not even moving your head. You turn your eyes, glaring at him and Ace immediately backs off in a panic. Reappearing by your left, he fires off a right turning kick to the back of your head, but again his attack is completely ineffective. He tries another three attacks, but nothing he does has any effect. Ace then vanishes, reappearing on the other side of the room, energy gathering in his hands. “KAMEHAME! HAAAA!!”

Ace fires his energy at you in an unstoppable wave of destructive power, his ki slamming into you at full force. Yet your Unmovable Energy Body lives up to it's name, despite his attack's power your feet remain firmly planted on the ground, barely any damage bleeding through your armor to hit your actual body. He keeps up the attack for maybe twenty seconds, then ends it to see that once more his attack was ineffective.

“That technique is something else.” Ace says, sighing out as he lowers his arms. “But I'm not done yet! I'll show you everything I've got!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qbb5KHYMig&ab_channel=Pok%C3%A9Mixr92

“HRRRYAAAAA!!” he roars, crimson aura blazing higher and higher around him as the entire room begins to shake. Just how powerful has Ace become, training here all the time with your daughter? “KAIO-KEN TIMES FIIIIIVE!!!!”

His aura is so powerful the entire room turns red, Ace wasting no time. One moment he's roaring, the next his fist is firmly planted in your jaw. As he does, you hear something crack, and feel your Energy Body simply break. It shatters around your face as you're sent flying backwards, then a tremendous force crashes into your back. A moment later Ace reappears before you, throwing a barrage of powerful punches and kicks that you're unable to defend against, the former Time Patroller simply moving too fast for you to react to. Each devastating blow cracks your armor, more and more damage bleeding through with each blow. But you don't deactivate your Unmovable Energy Body, knowing it is the only thing keeping his barrage from breaking every bone in your body. Instead you keep channeling more and more ki into it, trying to regenerate it as more and more damage piles up. But as he keeps attacking, suddenly you see it. As he swings with his right, once again aiming at your jaw where he first cracked your armor, his blazing crimson aura suddenly vanishes. Now's your chance!

“MY TURN!!” you roar, ending your shield, once more you use your Djem So to deflect his arm, Ace's eyes widening in shock despite him wincing in clear pain. “RRRAAAAAAA!!!”

Your right slams into his jaw instead, your blow sending Ace crashing back-first into the far wall. He slams into it, then falls limply to the ground, unmoving. You stand over him, panting and wince in pain as the injuries you sustained flare up. You drop to a knee, clutching your side and take quick, shallow breaths as the deep breath caused pain to flare up in your side. It hurts like hell, you feeling more beat to hell than you have in awhile, even after you fought that army of Lobo, but you did it. Once again you beat that former Time Patroller.

“Dammit.” you seethe through clenched teeth, your shallow breaths not helping much as Ace lays unconscious on the ground. Future Chaya runs to him first, as you're still up and checks to see if he's still breathing or not. A moment later you see her rise up, your future daughter turning and looking to you shocked.
“You...He-He's out cold.” she says, voice barely above a whisper as she looks at you. “Wow. I...I didn't think you could do it. At times five, he's even stronger than me.”

“Raw strength is-tsk! It isn't everything kiddo.” you tell her, wincing in pain. You cough up, spitting blood as your broken ribs throb and sting painfully. Seeing this her eyes widen further, immediately rushing to the controls and turning the chamber off, then rush out the door. She's gone for several seconds as you feel your consciousness fading, but you grit your teeth against the pain. Despite the shape your body is in you focus, remembering your lessons from the ancient Guardian of New Salda. Despite the pain you take a deep breath, powering back down to base and breathing in deeper and deeper. You fight against the pain, keeping your breaths in and out even with the ancient breathing technique. After the first few the pain begins fading, your intense focus on taking proper breaths suppressing the agony in your mind. Then suddenly Future Chaya reappears, but not with your Stand-wielding daughter Caulifla. Instead she rushes over to you, kneeling by you and shoving something the size of a single finger bone in your mouth.

“Eat this.” she says, you not questioning her and biting down. Whatever it is crunches, you chewing it for a second before swallowing it. Then nothing happens, you looking at her confused as she goes over to Ace, but then you feel it. From within your guts there is a surge of energy, shocking you so badly you just take a single deep breath. And you don't feel anything, no tightness or pain as you take another deep breath. Rising up to your feet, you feel completely fine. Better than fine, you feel like you could go another two rounds with him. You look back towards Future Chaya to ask her what this is, but see her lips locked with Ace's. His eyes are still closed and redheaded body limp, you wondering what the hell she's doing. But a moment later his eyes open, Chaya holding the kiss a few moments longer before pulling back.

“Wha-Chaya?” he asks her, clearly confused. “Wha...What happened?”
“You lost.” she says, still sounding uncertain herself ans she turns back towards you. “When your Kaio-Ken ran out, he got you.”
“Ran out?” he asks her, then with her help rises back up to his feet and faces you. Once upright he walks directly over to you, and holds his right hand out with a smile on his face. You smile back, and clasp forearms with him.

“That technique was seriously impressive.” he says, a hint of admiration in his voice. “I didn't think you could withstand a times four Kaio-Ken with the power gap between us at times three, much less at times five.”
“What was that about anyways? The times three, times four?” you ask him, the two of you letting go simultaneously.
“The Kaio-Ken is an energy multiplier.” he explains, you soaking this information in readily. You're curious what this technique can do, and hopefully he'll shed some light on what Chilli did to himself. “It allows the body to temporarily smash through it's limits, doubling one's strength, speed and senses, and all the other traits I use in a fight. But that's just the basic Kaio-Ken. It doesn't cap out at doubling, it can be a three, four, or a five times multiplier.”
“So when you said times five, you multiplied your power five full times?” you ask, realizing just how powerful such a technique could be. “That's insane.”

“Right?!” Chaya asks, you turning to her as she walks up, and grabs a hold of his arm. “I'm still stronger than him at times three, but he has a little bit on me at times four now.”
“Towa's training regimen really works.” he says to you, blushing a little bit about her wrapping herself around his arm. “When I first showed up, she was still stronger than me at times four.”
“So you've been slacking off, is that it?” you ask your daughter, who immediately looks down ashamedly. You sigh out, taking a step forward and lay your hand on her head. She looks up, eyes meeting yours before you continue speaking. “Life being great is no reason to stop pushing your limits. Too many people are relying on you for you to ever be complacent Chaya, what happens if that time bitch suddenly gets a minion able to beat both you and Ace? Or what if those fusions find a form even further beyond Apex? What then?”

Both Ace and Chaya are both looking at you in silent, rapt attention, so you continue.

“This goes for you as well.” you say to Ace, turning to him. “There's no way she'll ever let you roam freely, and will throw her most powerful minions your way to take you back. No matter what, you cannot let yourself be captured by her. Do you understand me?”
“I will not go back.” he says, sounding far more serious than you've ever heard him. “I would rather die than be her slave again.”
“Good. Now, both of you should get back to training.” you tell them, turning and walking to the door. But just before you walk outside, you glance back over your shoulder. “I'm counting on you both to keep getting stronger.”

Then without another word walk through the doorway, it sealing behind you. You're sure they both will get back into serious training after that performance.

You think for a moment, going over everyone you've spent time with, and realize that you haven't seen your half-demon daughter Milha much at all today. You've spent time with each of the others, Maza and Koruza, so you need to spend time with her as well. But where is she? Realizing you don't know where she is, you close your eyes and focus your ki sense. Ace and Future Chaya are immediately behind you, the young former Time Patroller having not taken his divine form yet so you can still sense him. You also feel Towa far above, her darker ki next to both Chilli and Megumin. Meloka, Maz and Kayle, Karn Jr, and Okira are all near them as well, maybe a room or two away. Maza is with Cell and Caulifla, Broly and Chaya's energies both, to your surprise, are with them as well. Between those three clusters of energy you sense the oldest twins, Tatsu and Tomi, are no doubts in the same room as Milha. But their energies feel off. You raise your hand to your forehead, focusing on your half-demon daughter's energy, and with your Instant Transmission teleport to her side. You appear right in front of her, but as you do see that she was in the middle of something.

“-oul Swap!” she shouts, throwing both hands forward at slight angles. However, her right is aimed at you, and fires a red beam at you.
“Woah!” you shout, trying to leap aside. But the beam strikes you square in the chest just an instant before you would have been clear, her crimson energy expanding out and immobilizing you.
“Oh no!” you hear Tatsu and Tomi shout, Milha's eyes widening in shock. Then in what you can only describe as your soul being sucked out of your body, you feel yourself jerked backwards, but see your body still standing there shrouded in crimson energy. The hell? A moment later you slam painfully into something, the gravity suddenly feels far more intense. Planting your feet, you look up and see your body looking at you. Wait, what the hell?
“Oh no oh no oh no, this is all wrong!” Milha says, panic in her voice. “I didn't mean to hit you Father, this wasn't supposed to happen!”
“Dad?” your body asks, head tilting curiously. “Is that you?”

“What happened?” you ask, voice a lot higher pitched than usual. Looking down at yourself, you find that your body is much smaller than it was before. And as you look over, you see that you're now standing even with Tomi. But when 'Tomi' speaks, Tatsu's voice comes from her body.

“Well, that's not good.” your son says from her body, you looking around completely confused. What the hell is going on here? “Milha? Can you do it again?”
“Not with my energy.” she says, then glances to your body. “But with Father's power, I think I can do it two more times.”
“Go ahead.” you tell Tomi? At least you think she's the one now in your body. “Give her a bit, but be really slow with that. I've got a whole lot of power, be very careful kiddo.”
“I will.” she says, lowering your and towards your half-demon daughter. “You ready?”
“Ready.” Milha replies, bracing herself expectantly. Tomi begins pouring your power into her half-sister, you feeling Milha's power surging. Her strength is far beyond your own, and your own body's energy feels amazing. Compared to this body, yours is radiating with so much energy it feels like you are standing before an insurmountable wall. And despite Tomi pouring enough power into Milha to double her power, your body's doesn't seem to have decreased at all. Is this what everyone else feels when you're standing near you? “That should be enough, thank you.”

“So, you learned to swap people's bodies?” you ask Milha, your half-demon daughter nodding to you. “That's like Captain Ginyu's special ability, isn't it?”
“That's where I got the idea.” she says with a small smile. “But that's not all, I've been mastering my Curse magic, and can use more than forty pages worth of spells. When you're back in your own body, would you like to see?”
“Of course kiddo.” you say with a smile, finding it a bit odd to look your young daughter in the eye. “Whenever you're ready.”
“Alright, hold still.” she says, aiming her right at your body and her left at you. Her demonic aura flares, then shouts out. “Curse Magic: Soul Swap!”

This time the warbling blue beam strikes you, as the crimson one hits your body, and the whole process begins all over again. Her energy sheaths this body, enveloping you in blue, then a beam of energy shoots from you directly at your body as it fires one back. The two energies clash, the red and blue turning purple as you feel your soul getting grabbed again. Once more you leave a body behind, your consciousness traveling through that energy and slamming directly into your own back. Gasping, you feel yourself taking a deep breath, blinking your eyes several times and looking down at your hands. They are your own hands, ancient ring on your right hand and Katchin wedding band on your left. She did it, you're back in your own body!

“Hey, I'm back. Good job kiddo.” you say, turning to Milha and ruffling her white hair. “So you take more after your mother, and can use magic too?”
“Yes, although my Curse Magic isn't as flashy as hers or Chilli's.” she says shyly, and despite her reddish complexion you can still see her blushing a bit. “If you could stand back, I'll swap Tatsu and Tomi back.”
“Of course.” you say, taking several steps away and giving her a clear line of sight to both of your twins. Once more she raises both hands, demonic aura flaring as she declares her spell once more.

“Curse Magic: Soul Swap!” she declares, and for a third time fires off her red and blue waves towards the twins. Her energies enshroud them both, red and blue enshrouding them both. Again the beams fire out, clashing and mixing into a wave of purple. Both of their ki suddenly plummet, then rise back up as their souls return to their bodies. Milha's triangle of energy fades away, both the older twins sighing out completely in sync. “There. Phew. Everybody's back where they're supposed to be.”

What do you do?
>Ask why she switched Tatsu and Tomi's bodies, and what she was hoping to achieve

You have several questions about what's going on, and what brought this situation up, but you decide to let them talk first without you interrupting them. They were doubtlessly in the middle of something when you showed up and interrupted, best to let them finish.

“Now that you both are back in your own bodies, how was it?” Milha asks, addressing both of your oldest twins together. But while Tatsu seems fine, Tomi's unable to look away from you. She's just staring at you, slack-jawed. Tatsu grabs her by the shoulder, shaking her slightly. Tomi seemingly snaps out of it, shaking her head a bit and blinking a few times before her eyes focus. “Tomi? You okay?”
“Y-Yeah.” she says, Tatsu looking towards her worriedly. “I, I just never realized it.”
“Realized what?” Milha asks her, Tomi returning her gaze back to you.
“I never really understood just how powerful you are.” she says to you, looking down at her hand and closing it. “How...Tiny we all really are, compared to you. I could always feel how much stronger you are than us, but I never understood how... Insignificant we all must seem to you in comparison.”

“You are never insignificant to me kiddo.” you say to her, then address Tatsu and Milha as well. “None of you are. You may not be on the same level of power as me, yet, but that doesn't make you any less important. You all are why I'm able to get so strong in the first place. Never think for a second that any of you are insignificant to me.”

None of you say anything for awhile, so you decide to change the subject after a few seconds of silence.

“So, Milha. Why did you swap their bodies?” you ask her, curious. “Was it to see if they could swap back on their own?”
“How did you-?” she replies, shocked, then simply smiles and continues. “Yes. I'd thought that, with Tomitsu's help, their souls would be able to return to their own bodies if they held hands.”
“But we were stuck in each other's bodies.” the twins say simultaneously, despite not being in physical contact. “Even though Tomitsu can completely inhabit either of our bodies separately, our soul is still stuck in that body.”
“Huh. Well, that's certainly good to know.” you say, then address Milha. “You said your magic is curses, right?”
“Yes. I can use a few other magics, but Curse Magic is my strongest.” she says, brows furrowing a bit. “Why?”
“There is a curse I wanted to ask you about.” you say, drawing all three kids' attention. “Below New Salda used to live a people called the M'lurnians. And their guard was cursed with some sort of immortality. It's body was kind of decayed, but it could still fight and even use magic. Do you have any idea what that was?”

“I do, and it's a fate worse than death.” she says, her entire demeanor darkening as she speaks. “That is The Curse of Undeath.”

Which is actually a good point to bring up, as Saiyans are no longer sent on such missions. They are military assets deemed too valuable to gamble with by the PTO. Instead, they're raised (usually) in groups of their own age together, growing up, training, eating, and living. With few notable exceptions being Karn's kids, and those with abnormally exceptional powerlevels, who're taken to the palace.

“The Curse of Undeath?” you ask her, surprised she knows of something older than you, your old man, and who knows what else. But after a moment's thought, realize that assuming she doesn't know of such a thing with Towa able to show her events across time is probably foolish. “What is it?”
“It is a terrible curse that eats away what makes you you.” she says, a shiver running up her back as she talks. Seeing this you kneel down, laying a hand on her shoulder as she keeps going. “Every time someone cursed with undeath dies, their body rises once again. Over and over, each time losing more and more of their memories. Only a few at first, but as they keep dying, they forget everything. Until they're little more than a mindless living corpse, attacking everything that moves beneath their eyeless gaze.”

“That sounds awful.” Tomi says, you and Tatsu both nodding in agreement with the sentiment. “Can't someone save them?”
“Unfortunately not.” Milha says, shaking her head. “Once someone's gone fully mad, or Hollow, there is nothing of the person they were left. All they are at that point is a corpse animated by magic, imitating the living being they once were fueled by whatever scraps are left of their torn and shredded soul. Cursing someone with that means they'll never get to go to the afterlife either, as their soul is torn into so many pieces the person they were is no more. It really is an awful way to go.”
“I see.” you say, abandoning that particular train of thought. You're not above giving up whatever awaits you after death for a chance to keep protecting what's most important to you, but if you'd eventually go mad and attack your family and people instead of protecting them? No way. “Hang on. What if their body is destroyed?”
“The curse will reassemble them, in time.” she says, your own eyes widening in surprise. Perhaps the Last M'lurnian isn't as dead as you'd thought? “The more tissue the curse has to repair, the faster the accursed lose their minds. Bleeding all the blood from their bodies is the best method to slow their revival, but even that only slows it. Someone cursed with undeath will inevitably, eventually rise again. But why are you curious about such a macabre subject? Wait, don't tell me-?”

“No. Absolutely not.” you tell her before she can even finish asking the question. “That is not an option.”
“Good. Because if you were going to ask me, I would have said no.” she answers firmly. “Not even Chaos itself can undo the Curse of Undeath.”
“Wait, what?” you ask her, surprised by this bit of information. “Chilli's Chaos magic can't even undo that curse?”

cont
>>
>>5114359
“No. Once that curse has been set, and the afflicted person dies for the first time, their fate is sealed.” she says somberly. “Not even Chaos can save them from that fate.”
“That's terrible.” Tatsu says, and you completely agree, pondering. Why would anyone develop such a devastating magic, and use it on another living being? Not even a right bastard like Trunks deserves that. And while the Supreme Kai of Time deserves all the suffering she can get for what her minions have done to your family, she doesn't deserve more than one life to ruin others'.
“Was that all of my magic you wanted to ask about?” Milha asks, you snapping out of your thoughts and returning your attention to her.
“Of course not kiddo. Sorry about that, got lost in my thoughts.” you say, trying to force a lighter tone in your voice. “I am curious what else your magic can do, besides switch two people's bodies around.”

“Would you like to volunteer?” she asks, surprisingly serious. “Most of my magic only works against people, and it's never really anything good. Curse Magic is all about weakening those you target, debilitating and disorienting them so they're easier to take down. It's not pleasant, fun magic like Chilli has, or dramatic blasts like his wife's.”
“That just means it's even more dangerous.” you say, Milha perking up a bit at this. “Being flashy and showy isn't really important, what matters in a fight are results. And knowing how such magic work against me could help me fight it in the future. If you don't mind throwing attacks at your old man?”
“OF COURSE!” she shouts, a little too excitedly for what she said as sinister-seeming magical energy begins shrouding her hands. You raise your brow at her, Milha calming down and explaining herself.

“No one ever wants to help me practice, because of how awful some of my magic can be.” she tells you, mood immediately turning darker again. “Nobody likes getting hit by my magic.”
“Well I'm sure I'm not gonna like it either.” you tell her, Milha looking at you with a face full of confusion. “But training for different situations makes you a better fighter. So, what sorts of debilitating magic do you have?”
“All sorts.” she says, a little too cheerily as she starts naming spells. “Blindness/Deafness is always a miserable spell, albeit pretty self-explanatory. Blight is also miserable, and usually dehydrates whatever I hit on top of siphoning off a bunch of their energy. Enervation is also terribly debilitating, sapping and draining one's power while giving it to me.”

Well, those all sound like a miserable time. But do you back out, or stay the course?

Interesting that she didn't mention the other component to the Undead Curse, where you can delay hollowing by killing people and plundering their humanity.
Honestly a darkwraith in this setting would be terrifying, since in Dark Souls undead are limited by the finite amount of energy in the world, but an undead that could travel the universe wouldn't have that problem.

"That sounds terrible." you tell her, Milha's expression dropping as you talk. "Let's do it."
"Y-You mean it?" she asks, eyes sparkling. "You really mean it?"
"Of course, I promised you I would." you tell her, clenching your fists and ascending back up to full power. "Hit me with your best shot kiddo, let's see how much of your curses I can withstand.”
“Really? YEAH!” she exclaims, seeming far more excited than is probably good for her. But you did promise, and won't back out now. “Let's start with this one, it's called Enervation.”
“Okay, and what does it do?” you ask her warily.
“It's a debilitating spell that drains the target's life force, giving it to me.” she says, and points her right hand at you. “Alright, here goes! Curse Magic: Enervation!”

From her extended finger springs forth a tendril of inky dark energy, and immediately your instincts warn you that this magic is trouble. It slithers through the air towards you, not unavoidably quick, but you stand still and let that tendril strike you right in the chest. As it hits, you feel your energy immediately being pulled out of you and into that void. Now to see if you can resist it. Focusing, you feel the point your ki is being drained through, and concentrate on your energy directly there. Closing your eyes and devoting your whole mind to it, you put everything behind holding your energy back. And after a few seconds of continually having your power sapped, your ki begins resisting the sinister pull. Controlling the flow of ki through your body around that point, you manage to almost completely seal off her spell so instead of a torrent, only a trickle of power is leaking from you through the connection.

“No way, how did you do that?” she asks, sounding genuinely shocked as she no doubt feels that river stream of power turn into only a few drops.
“I focused on my ki flow, and directed it around the point of impact.” you tell her. “So instead of it being in contact with all of my energy, it can only touch the tiniest portion.”
“Huh, I never thought of that.” she says, ending the spell by closing her fist. “How are you feeling?”
“Fine, it only sapped a little bit of my power.” you tell her, sighing out now that the attack's ended and returning your ki flow to normal.
“Since you beat one of my better spells, now I'm gonna go for the big one!” she says excitedly, her dark magical energy gathering in her right hand. “This is my strongest magical attack! Are you ready?”
“Go for it.” you say, taking a deep breath and bracing yourself. But if you'd have known what was about to happen, you wouldn't have volunteered to be her test dummy.

“Curse Magic: Finger of Death!!” she shouts, pointing at you. And everything becomes pain.

One moment you're standing before your daughter, waiting for her attack to come at you. And the next, everything is pain. Your entire body feels like it's being burned alive, every nerve set ablaze as her magical attack devastates your body. Your head feels like it's about to be crushed by unbelievable pressure, your arms and legs feel as if they're melting while your chest is about to burst from the inferno raging inside your body. You cannot see, eyes screwed shut against the agony as a high-pitched ringing blares in your mind. All of your senses are overwhelmed by the unending pain, and the moment all this hits you you unleash a feral scream of pain.

“GYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” you cry out, back arching as spasms wrack your entire frame. By some miracle you remain standing, at least initially, but as your body jerks from the pain you feel yourself falling forward. You try and stop your fall, but your body is too overwhelmed by the pain to react, smashing into the ground as wave after wave of pain washes over your body. You aren't sure how long this lasts, it could have been a minute or it could have been a year, time losing all meaning in the face of the searing, unstoppable agony destroying you. The pain is greater than anything you've ever endured, but after some time, it begins fading away. You embrace the nothingness over the agony, feeling your mind fleeing from the pain and retreating somewhere else deep inside yourself.

Then it's over. You open your eyes, and find yourself floating once more inside that familiar timeless void, floating alone in this space.

“Dammit, I passed out?” you wonder aloud to yourself, looking down at your hands. You've been through a lot, and nearly died in a lot of different ways, but nothing you've endured over your long fighting, conquering career has ever come CLOSE to what you just went through. No wonder she's so unable to find someone willing to help her practice her magic. But you're not done, not yet, even this unbelievable agony isn't enough to stop you. Clenching your fists and gritting your teeth, you brace yourself for the pain again, and force your eyes to open, leaving the safety of that void behind.

The first thing you notice is that you're laying on your back, looking up at the worried faces of Milha, Tatsu, and Tomi. The next thing you realize is that your body is, despite the earlier pain, relatively fine. Everything is sore and stiff, but nothing feels broken; and despite feeling sick force yourself to sit up.

“Daddy!!” the older twins shout, tears in their eyes as they throw themselves around your neck.
“I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.” your red skinned half-demon daughter says through her tears. “I'm so sorry.”

“You weren't kidding, your magic is terrible kiddo.” you tell her, coughing painfully as your throat feels rough and torn up. No doubt from how much screaming you probably did while under her spell. “I don't think I can take any more.”
“I won't do it again, please don't hate me.” she says, holding her head in her hands and crying even more. “I'm sorry, I'm so-Huh?”
“Now don't go hating on yourself kiddo, I was the one who asked you to do it.” you tell her, Milha looking up at you with her tear-stained face full of confusion. “And I'm not saying we can't do this again. Just...I can't take another hit like that today. That one really messed me up.”

“You...You're not mad at me?” she asks, sounding so tiny and worried that you can't even speak, just reach out and grab her with your left, and pull her into a hug along with your oldest twins.
“Of course I'm not mad at you, Milha.” you tell her. “You warned me it could be bad, and I went ahead and did it anyways. I'm not gonna lie, I underestimated you kiddo. I thought that there was no way your magic could make me hurt any more than all the other stuff I've been through, but that attack was something else entirely. What was that one again?”
“Finger of Death.” she says, voice muffled as she buries her face in your shoulder. “It's an agonizing curse, made to kill people who aren't strong enough to resist it. But I thought that there's no way it would almost kill you too.”

“Your magic is strong kiddo, stronger than any other attack I've ever taken.” you tell her, ruffling her white hair with your right hand. “I'm glad.”
“You're glad?” she asks, pulling herself back a bit and looking curiously at you. “Why? I almost killed you!”
“Because if your magic is that strong against me, then it'll be at least that strong against anyone who threatens you or your siblings.” you tell her, taking this moment to try and impart some wisdom. “Your magic is strong, and could mean the difference between your family living and dying Milha. I'm glad you have the kind of power to take down beings so much stronger than you. And I'm glad to help you practice again, just... Not today kiddo. I don't think I can take a hit like that again.”

At this she, despite crying starts laughing as well, you joining in with her laughing. Soon both Tatsu and Tomi join in, everyone in the room laughing. It feels good, especially after what you just went through, to laugh and release all the built-up pressure from the situation. You'd underestimated just how powerful her curses could be, and paid the price for it.

"Tomorrow, kiddo, we can go again." you tell her, Milha looking at you like you'd suddenly grown a second head. “But I'm going to need some rest first. When I wake up tomorrow, let's try this again: I'll be better prepared next time.”

“Night Daddy.” the twins say, letting go. “We're gonna go see how Chilli's doing. You gonna come too Milha?”

“Uhh, yeah. Sure.” she says, seeming almost unwilling to let you go. As if she's afraid that you're going to simply disappear. You pat her on the head, Milha giving you another big hug before finally letting go. You focus on Towa's energy, and as the three of them head towards the door you raise your right hand to your forehead. As they open the door and walk out, you teleport, leaving the room behind and returning to Towa's side. You see her observing the screens, but as you appear she slides her rolling chair back, turning towards you.
“Have you been enjoying yourself, catching up with the kids?” she asks, you nodding.
“They've certainly grown up.” you say to her, a small smile on your face at everything you've seen today. “Milha especially, her magic really messed me up.”
“I noticed.” she says, looking at your chest where her first spell had struck. “I didn't think she would actually use her strongest spell on you. Much less that you could withstand it. I wasn't certain you could survive it, and was about to step in when you woke up. You can take a lot more than I thought.”

“It still floored me. Tomorrow we're gonna try again, and see if I can stay standing that time.” you say, Towa raising a brow at you curiously. “Not something I get to fight much in my own time, so it's better for me to train against it here.”
“Always thinking about training, aren't you?” she asks with a good-nature sigh. “Well, with your past I can't really say I blame you. But let's save all that for tomorrow, you look like you're about to fall over or pass out Karn. C'mon, let's get you to a bed.”
“Sounds good to me.” you reply, Towa standing up and holding you close. Then reality distorts, and after a moment you find yourself back in her bedroom. You take your newly-created magic armor off, and lay down on the bed. You see Towa walking over to a dresser, but before you can see what she's going for, you feel your eyes droop. Instead of fighting it, you let your eyes close, and let out a relaxed sigh. It's been a long day, and you're ready to go to sleep. So you relax, and before you even know it you're out.

Sleep takes you, your body resting from the damage Milha's spell did earlier. You sleep deep and long, nothing disturbing your sleep until finally you feel your eyes slowly opening. Still drowsy you look around, finding both Towa and Meloka laying with you, each one with an arm across your chest and their heads resting by yours. Everything is quiet, you seeing your wife holding your youngest son, but the rest of your kids aren't here. You expand your ki sense, and after a moment feel all their ki from what feels to be a few floors down below you. You can sense all of them, nobody moving and all of their energies resting peacefully. Everything is calm and peaceful, nothing moving inside her fortress. You take a deep breath and sigh out, feeling your body relax. Muscles you hadn't realized were clenched all unclench simultaneously, you closing your eyes and relaxing. Moments like this are what you fight for, and you're going to enjoy it while it lasts.

And that's it for this weekend's episode, everyone enjoy the ride? Ready to spend more time with the other side of your family, and learn more of their experiences? Curious how the meeting with Fu and Mechikabura, with their captive in tow will go? All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!
>>
>>5114776
I feel odd not expanding our Ki Senses or taking a walk as soon as we wake up, but I suppose that's one of the rare luxuries afforded by Towa's enclave.
Good session either way, looking forward to the next one as per usual.
>>
>>5114767
>she says, seeming almost unwilling to let you go. As if she's afraid that you're going to simply disappear. You pat her on the head, Milha giving you another big hug before finally letting go.
Hnnng, PINK BITCH WILL DIE SCREAMING FOR MAKING OUR BABIES SO ISOLATED!
>>5114771
>Our demon kids were dragged to the nap pile
This. This is the heritage they missed out on.
>>5114776
I wish we could bring our demon family home.
>>
>>5114779
But you did though?
Glad you enjoyed the run.
>>5114781
Ha. They have enjoyed not being alone, despite your fully-Saiyan children not being the quietest.
Perhaps one day.
>>
>>5114798
>Ha. They have enjoyed not being alone, despite your fully-Saiyan children not being the quietest.
I've lived like that, and with even fewer people around, all of which I hated. Its hell for those kids, and I want to skin Pinky alive with a cheese grater, if Captain Silver doesn't have one, or a potato peeler of sufficient toughness and sharpness, Grinding her to dust would be sufficient.
>>
>>5114798
>But you did though
That's me being a speed-reader I guess. It's nice not having to worry about intruders all the same.
>>
>>5114808
Some people like being alone, but not kids. Especially ones that’ve lived most of their lives in isolation, and the only time they haven’t was in an enemy camp.
>>5114812
True enough. That’s a big perk of isolation
>>
>>5114839
How many Cell Juniors are running around?
Cell doesn't just shit them out when Chilli needs a sparring partner and dispose of them right after...right?
>>
>>5114843
Currently only one, as the others, well... Training accidents happen
>>
>>5114843
Cell doesn't have Karn genes. He is not a good dad.
>>
>>5114988
>Karn
>Good dad
lmao
>>
>>5115027
Yes.
>>
>>5115027
Apart from Chilli I think Karns done a bang-up job.
>>
>>5115201
Did an alright job with Chilli, too (apart from him getting Clown'd; but even then it wasn't our fault he got taken, and we rescued him as quickly as possible).

He felt neglected when he was a little kid, but that was only because we were training at 150% effort to prepare to fight off the [Arbiter? or is my sense of the timeline screwed? First Covenant invasion of New Salda, right?] coming to wipe us out. He didn't understand, at the time, why we were constantly off training, and only spending time with the kids to eat and fall asleep beside them. He'd get it now that he's older.
>>
>>5115218
To be fair, even when we were spending time with the kids, Chilli was getting screwed out of it a good chunk of his younger childhood.
>>
>>5115201
Considering the only father figure in his life until recenty was essentially a drill/combat instructor, yes.
>>5115218
Yes, but Karn did mess up with him. By not giving his son the attention he gave Chaya and Broly, and later Caulifla as well, he clearly felt less than.
>>
>>5115667
As bad as I feel about Chilli's upbringing, there's really nothing we can do about it besides be there for him now and give him that support and attention he missed out on as a kid.
We have a few days to ourselves anyhow, I figure now would be a great opportunity to get some one-on-one time with him.
Maybe he could join in on our training sessions?
You did say he was trying to figure out Instant Transmission by himself, right?
Who better to teach him than dear old dad?
>>
>>5115880
>now would be a great opportunity to get some one-on-one time with him.
Have to disagree with that one, as the kids who DON’T live in the same timeline want their time with their father. Something Chilli understands quite well.
He is going to want to spend time with Cell while he’s here, and pick up more techniques he doesn’t really have access to in his own timeline. Although once you’re back home, he’d certainly appreciate the lessons.
>>
>>5116258
Alright, that's fair.
Besides getting to spend time with their father, I'd imagine Maza would love a new sparring partner and Koruza is just itching to get some experience against another Stand User, especially one who can overcome Dark Rider's signature ability.
>>
>>5116258
>Ignore the kid that's fucked up
>Spend more time with my waifu's kids instead
>In a place where no time passes
Classic GDQM, always playing favourites. Poor Chilli, still a kid and already written off as a lost cause.
>>
>>5116374
After your lesson, Maza is certainly more interested in your life philosophy. He was so confident before, but with less than 75% of his power you not only matched his record, but doubled his previous best. Things like that leave their mark, especially against a child. He even double checked with Towa immediately after showering that your powerlevel hadn’t surpassed his own. She pulled up the powerlevel scanner and the camera simultaneously, showing him that during the whole training he was physically superior. But numbers are such a poor measure of power.
Not quite with Koruza, and especially not against yours. He knows how dangerous Stand fights can be.
>>5116385
At this point, he’d personally be more upset you ignored the kids you almost never see.
>>
>>5116488
>Maza literally could not believe we mogged him despite our clearly inferior powerlevel
See, this is what being a dad is all about.
>Not quite with Koruza, and especially not against yours. He knows how dangerous Stand fights can be.
Fair enough, but he should train with us while we're here regardless. It's not every day we get to see him after all.
>>
>>5116507
It gives more credence to what you told him about raw power, measured in numbers, not being what’s most important. The biggest difference between Karn and Maza at the moment is pain tolerance, unsurprisingly.
I’m not saying ignore him, especially while he’s feeling down about what happened.
>It's not every day we get to see him after all.
You have Instant Transmission.
>>
>>5116657
>You have Instant Transmission.
I was referring to Koruza (and Maza and Milha by extension)
When's the next time we're gonna swing back around and be there for our Demon kids?
Hell, there might not be a next time given the circumstances. Karn seems to have constant close calls even in his native timeline.
That uncertainty, while incredibly unwelcome, makes the time we do have here all the more meaningful.
>>
>>5116670
Oh, still thought that was of Chilli.
Far more often now, small spoiler for a later conversation but around a few days every month.
Violence does seem to hound Karn. Almost as if something is trying to restore the order of your timeline
>That uncertainty, while incredibly unwelcome, makes the time we do have here all the more meaningful.
Very true. Life is uncertain
>>
>>5117146
>Few days every month
Hot damn that's more often than before, we can bring them tons of stuff they missed out on at home!
>Almost as if something is trying to restore the order of your timeline
PINK BIIIIITCH!
>>
>>5117278
With Mechikabura’s upgrades to her defenses, a lot more is possible.
Not quite, it doesn’t go that high. But let’s just say that deities who are all for Fate and Order despise the Chaos Karn has wrought, and tried influencing the mortal realm within their mandates.

QM UPDATE

Unfortunately, there will be no new episode this weekend, as I have personal stuff going on Saturday and DnD with the boys finally on Sunday. So, the next episode will begin on January 22nd, noon EST as usual. In the meantime, epilogues will be out hopefully late Saturday evening, and on the following Thursday.
>>
>>5117521
NOOOOOOBUUUUUUUU!
>>5117544
Sounds like fun, go enjoy it GD
>>
>>5117586
He was the first to step outside the boundaries of what deities are allowed to do. And paid the price.
I hope to. In the meantime, who’s ready for a epilogue of a potential future ally?
>>
>>5117611
>Spoiler
Well that sounds nice.
>>
>>5117662
It’ll be, well saying familiar face would be a lie. But you know who this character is. At least, who they started out as.
>>
>>5118489
Still drawing a blank as to who it could be.
I guess it'll be obvious when the epilogue is posted, but I won't lie and say I'm not intrigued right now.
If I had to make a guess though, I'd say it's Chilli.
His potential and current goals guarantee some big changes for him in the next few decades.
>>
>>5118489
....is it someone we met during a Breaker job?
>>
>>5118502
Just, read what GD just said, and think about why what you said is dumb.
>>
>>5118559
I have the reading comprehension of the average American. Spoon-feed it to me.
>>
>>5118575
Its someone we haven't seen in a while.
>>
>>5118578
Guts ;_; ?
>>
>>5118610
He doesn't like demons, so I doubt it.
>>
>>5118578
My dad?
>>
>>5118663
>Karn knows anons dad
>>
>>5118675
Being a Dad grants one a myriad of strange and fantastic abilities, including but not limited to
>having direct mental contact with every other father
>constant awareness of all climate control devices within one's domicile
>perfect comedic timing
>a seemingly infinite supply of leather belts
>the ability to make a fairly average Chili
>varying knowledge of steak doneness
>supreme fishing skills
>occasionally crippling back pain
>>
>>5118502
It’ll be fun. I’m looking forward to this.
>>5118557
Nope
>>5118559
>>5118578
>Its someone we haven't seen in a while.
Who said that?
>>5118801
>occasionally crippling back pain
I’m not even a dad, only an uncle, and that one hit me on a spiritual level.
>>
>>5118828
You did.
>It’ll be, well saying familiar face would be a lie. But you know who this character is
>>
>>5118963
Just because you don’t recognize someone from another time, because of how differently their life played out comparatively, doesn’t mean they are someone not seen for years. You could have seen them in the past two days.
>>
>>5118996
Well now I have no idea, if its a Cooler I'm still voting to punch him.
>>
>>5119001
>if its a Cooler I'm still voting to punch him.
Would be an acceptable course of action
>>
>>5119034
Knowing Cooler, he'd try and sucker punch Karn in his ship.
That fucker is still seething about his last loss I bet.
In reality, while Cooler may be bitch-made, he's making a lot of progress towards unfucking himself. Can't wait for the day when he realizes why he's second fiddle to his baby brother and subsequently grows up.
>>
>>5119048
Absolutely, and he would fail at this. Not quite seething, but he hasn't forgotten his losses.
>spoiler
He has been facing his own inner weakness.
>>
>>5119221
>He has been facing his own inner weakness.
Then he must be winning. It's hard to lose against a jobber after all.
>>
>>5119240
If you fight Cooler again before Beerus' arrival, he won't be the same overconfident, underestimating pushover he's been in the past. He's finally started coming into his own
>>
>>5119243
His own is a Bitch, if he bitches less while doing his thing, that would be a marked improvement.
>>
>>5119243
I was actually kind of excited at the prospect of Cooler getting a proper rematch against Karn after getting good, but then I looked at the most Powerlevel pastebin.
It really doesn't look like Cooler can keep up in terms of raw power anymore. Karn is very quickly outpacing him and it doesn't look like he's ever gonna slow down.
Here's hoping Cooler's Stand can even the playing field when he inevitably comes back to avenge his losses.
>>
Is anyone else unable to access the pastes on controlc?
The password is just SaiyanConqueror, right?
>>
>>5119333
Seems to work fine for me man, don't know what to tell you.
>>
>>5118996
so this gonna be a completely different broly, got it.
>>
>>5119243
Feel free not to answer this question if it gets into spoiler territory.
When it's made known to Karn that he'll be able to spend time at Towa's regularly, will there be a vote as to how he'll spend his time there each month?
Or will it default to just spending time with the kids and getting some light training in?

Personally speaking, I'd love to make curse resistance training with Milha a regular thing.
I'd also want to try and teach Maza some Djem-So. Feels like a good style for him (and a troublesome style for the Time Patrol to deal with).
As for Koruza... there's not really much we can do besides regular dad stuff if he doesn't want to train his Stand with us.
>>
>>5119247
Ha.
>>5119277
They are out of date. Something I’m going to be doing, hopefully before the month is out, is going through my updated powerlevels and updating the pastebins. Something I haven’t done in awhile unfortunately.
>>5119333
SaiyanConqueror for the sfw, yes. If not try SCQ, I may have changed a few. Looking to change them all to the shorter password before month’s end.
>>5119429
Who knows?
>>5119818
Yes and no. Don’t want to say too much on it yet
>>
>>5119861
So now that you have a serviceable desktop, what does your connection speed look like?
>>
>>5119868
Hell if I know. The same it’s always been I reckon
>>
>>5120043
If you want to get some specific numbers, check out speedtest.net.
I only ask because I was gonna recommend you get into some online games with lower system requirements.
>>
>>5120138
>I was gonna recommend you get into some online games with lower system requirements.
Don’t you wish that evil upon me. I already don’t exactly have a lot of free time
>>
>>5120188
This one is probably gonna come out of left field, but I highly recommend Space Station 13.
I feel like I mentioned it in a previous thread, but I can't remember if said you heard of it.
Either way, it's great if you're stuck with a poorfag PC for a while.
>>
>>5120204
I don't recommend Space Station 13, because it's an extremely poorly optimized game on an absolutely ancient platform with a steep learning curve.
>>
>>5120217
But the emergent gameplay though.
If you're autistic enough, the learning curve is far from steep.
And a fair amount of servers are actually pretty good about optimization now.
>>
>>5120221
Yeah, but that's like saying mountain climbing isn't that difficult if you're in good enough shape and have the right equipment.
>>
>>5120204
SS13 is great

if you literally have autism and 18 hours a day to waste
>>
>>5120204
From the discussions years ago, I absolutely do not have the time to learn that while still running SCQ
>>5120221
You might as well have me learn to play LoL or something else that awful.

Oh shit....who's that?

Nope.

Kinda looks like how I imagine an old man Chilli would look like.

>>5121309
I hope our Chilli has all of his face when he’s that old.
>>
>>5121338
Given recent events, It'd be a fucking miracle for Chilli to have all of his original body parts when he's that old.

>>5121524
He doesn’t give up. But once his control of Chaos has greatly improved, he’ll be unkillable except for erasing his head instantly

>>5122049
Yeah, I'd imagine it'd be a bother to try and kill Chilli once he's able to just erase injuries like they never even happened.
I also think that he'd make a great backup healer in a pinch for the same reasons.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 168 Epilogue-

AGE 770, NEW SALDA

“HRRAAA!!” Broly shouts, swinging his right arm for your head.
“HRYAAA!!” you bellow, matching his swing with one of your own, both yours and Broly's fists crashing into each other's faces. The combined force of your punches creates a shock wave that knocks you both back, you flipping backwards onto your hands, then spring back up onto your feet before sliding to a stop. Broly slides to a stop as well, arms up and ready to defend in case you attacked from range. You smirk at this, Broly doing the same as you stare each other down.

“Heh. Brings back memories, huh? Just like that tournament, when we were still kids.” Broly says, it taking you a moment to remember back. It's been twenty years, but you remember that tournament well. After all, that was the first time you'd used the Kaio-Ken in a fight. But it wasn't the last. You are the greatest arch-mage of the seventh universe, Chilli. It's been more than ten years since the Destroyer God Beerus arrived, both of your parents ascending to even greater heights. But with their new powers came costs, namely in the time they spent away from the mortal realm. Leaving all of you to face the threats that emerged in that time, of which only a few required their help. “A lot's happened.”
“That is has.” you reply, retaking your fighting stance. “And if you wanna reminiscence so badly, I'll knock you out quick so you can daydream about it.”
“You wish. You've gotten stronger, but I'm still the strongest.” Broly replies, retaking his own stance as well. But before either of you can move, an ear-splitting screech rings out. You clasp your ears in pain, eyes reflexively trying to close as you see a wormhole appear suddenly in the space between you two. And a figure leaps out, wearing tattered robes and a raggedy pointed hat while clutching at his chest with his left hand.

But the stranger's clothes are not what draws your attention. As the man appears, you immediately sense not only his prodigious physical power, nearly on par with your father's, but he's also radiating with more magical energy than you've sensed from a single being since Mechikabura achieved his youth. Yet, his overwhelming power feels almost familiar. You sense that you should recognize the stranger's power, but can't identify it for some reason. He lands in a crouch, and while twisting to look over his right shoulder throws that hand towards the crack in reality. But as he turns, you see the man's face. Or, at least, what's left of it.

You see his face only for a moment, but the man is horrifically scarred. The left half of his face from his jawbone diagonally up is simply gone, his skeleton gleaming in the evening light as he whirls to face his portal. But this man didn't come alone, as another being follows him through the rift immediately.

“Dark Cloaked Dimension Slash!” the muscular man shouts, swinging his sword well short of the skull-faced man. Who simply vanishes, the dark magic cutting deep through the ground between you and your brother.
“Dammit!” Broly shouts, immediately taking his Primal form then unleashing the Supervillain seal. Battles between Mechikabura's forces and the Supreme Kai of Time's slaves have intensified since Mechikabura's return to his prime, fights often spilling out into neighboring timelines. And while you have seen the sword-wielding Time Patroller before, and battled his dark magic on several occasions, you've never seen the man with half a skull face before.
“Stay back Broly.” the ratty wizard says, reappearing in the space he'd been just before the Time Patroller's attack. “Chaos Lance!!”

The Time Patroller leaps aside, narrowly avoiding the new wizard's retaliatory spiraling lance of light and dark magic. As he dodges the man draws his sword back, and you suddenly feel the Time Patroller's magic condensing to an almost unbelievable level. Whatever he's about to unleash is going to be absolutely devastating.

“Dark Magic: Death Thrust!” the Time Patroller roars, thrusting his sword forward. Whatever his attack was is too quick for even you to follow, but one moment the ratty wizard is standing there, the next most of his body has simply been erased. You feel your jaw drop at his sudden spike in power, when you'd fought him before he never used such a devastating attack. What the hell was that? But if you thought THAT was a surprise, what happened next floored you.
“Chaos Magic: Temporal Shift.” the floating half-skeletal head says, both inky darkness and blinding light both consuming his head. And after an instant, his entire body returned, completely intact.
“Well, ain't that a pain in the ass?” the sword-wielding Patroller says, chest heaving a bit. Only now do you realize he's bleeding as well, no doubt from whatever battlefield they've bled over from. But if they keep fighting here, one of them could do some serious damage. “Looks like I have to go for the head.”

“THAT'S ENOUGH!!” you bellow, drawing upon the anger you'd use to shout at unruly children about to make a terrible mistake with their magic back home. And, to your surprise, both of them immediately stop fighting and look at you. Well, you have their attention. Good first step. Now to get them both the hell out of your timeline!

“I don't know when the hell you two came from, but this is my timeline!” you shout, clenching your fists and with a roar immediately ascend beyond your mortal limits. Your aura shifts, blazing up flame-like around you as you take on the highest form you currently can, Super Saiyan God. “Now get the hell out.”
“Heh, you think I'm gonna-?” the Time Patroller asks, interrupted by the other's sudden surprise attack. Not using his magic, the other man simply lunges forward and drives his right elbow into the side of the Patroller's head. “Gah! Bastard, that was a cheap shot! Dark Cloaked Dimension Slash!”

Swinging his blade upward, the dark shrouded blade swings a magical slashing blade up, the half-faced stranger leaping back aside and dodging the attack. But you've had enough of both of them.

“Chaos Magic: Temporal Maelstrom!” you shout, slamming the Light and Dark magic together. As the opposite magical energies hit, their energies expand, creating a rapidly-swirling maelstrom around the four of you. “Alright assholes. You didn't leave when you had the chance, so now both of you are gonna die! Broly, NOW!!”
“FINAL FLASH!!” Broly roars from the side, having moved while they were distracted to line them both up, and unleashes a tremendous, overwhelming blast from behind the half-skulled man. Who only smirks, dashing aside at the last second and letting the beam fire directly at the Time Patroller instead. Who's eyes widen in surprise, but unleashes his magic before it hits.
“Dark Magic: Dark Cocoon.” the man, who's name you just remembered is Yami says, a sphere of darkness enveloping him completely. As the sphere is fully realized Broly's attack slams into it, but you turn your focus onto the one who'd leapt aside. Focusing on the familiar ki, you use your Instant Transmission to teleport directly behind him. But as you appear, the skull-faced man spins to face you, smirking at you maliciously.

“Come on Chilli, we should know better than that.” he says, easily catching your left fist as you swing. “Don't be so predictable.”
“Wait, we?” you say, eyes widening in shocked realization. You suddenly recognize his ki and magic, and why it felt so familiar yet you couldn't recognize who's it was. That man is you. His energy is your own, just older and far more powerful. But that leaves a serious question: what in the hell happened to him? What choices would lead you to this fate. “How-?”
“Later.” your potential future counterpart says, silencing you as Broly's Final Flash ends, the Time Patroller ending his shield simultaneously. He looks around, and seeing you and yourself not fighting, sighs out.
“Three on one, eh? Guess I have no choice.” he says, turning to face the older you. “Dark Magic: Black Moon.”

Above the Time Patroller's head, an orb of absolute darkness appears. It radiates shadow down around him in a dome, Yami sheathing his sword and closing his eyes. The swordsman sighs out, his mana and ki instantly turning surprisingly calm. What the hell is he doing?

“Die!” Broly snarls, kicking off the ground and immediately closing the distance between them. But the instant before he does, your older you throws his left hand out.
“Stay back!” he shouts, using the same tone you used on your oldest when he tried attacking a dragon well before he was ready. As he does, pillars of bone explode up out of the ground between Yami and your brother. Broly, to his credit and having seen your Death Magic up close, immediately backs off, leaping back but throwing a Scattershot towards the Time Patroller. Your future version clenches his fist, all the bones shattering and throwing their shards towards the Dark Magic wielder as well. Who, to his credit doesn't try blocking the deadly combination, instead opting to leap straight into the air over both attacks.
“Dark Cloaked Dimension Slash!” he shouts, drawing his sword and holding it overhead in both hands as his shadowy black magic engulfs the blade before he swings it down at you all. “Equinox!”

“Chaos Distortion!” your older you says, and reality itself shifts. Everything around you no longer makes sense, and after what feels like an eternity, rational reality is restored. Except you're now in the air, both yourself and Broly instinctively begin flying. However, you hear an agonized scream from below, you both turning just in time to see the black magic blade cutting through the ground, and the Time Patroller himself. His dark magic bisects him, Yami's upper body separating from his legs as both halves fall to the ground. “Heh. Amateur.”
“Woah.” you mutter, completely floored by his masterful magical control. You've spent more than two decades at this point working on your control of Chaos, but what he just did shows you how much further you have to go. But wordlessly your half-faced future self tells you, gathering light and dark energies into opposite hands, no doubt preparing to leave. “Hey, wait! Don't leave, not yet! I have questions!”

“I know.” your future self says, sighing out and turning to fully face you. “But you don't want to end up like me.”
“Wait, you're-?” Broly asks, immediately figuring out what's going on. “What happened to you?”

“Oh, this?” he asks, gesturing to his face. Both you and Broly nod, morbidly curious. He turns to face you, his stare becoming serious. “I betrayed Jergal to save Megumin and used everything I had to bring her back to life.”
“Megu...” you mutter, looking down at your hands. If your wife perished, and you had even a chance of saving her, wouldn't you have done the same? While you are the greatest Reaper he has, Jergal still no doubt would never allow even you to bring a single person back to life. His rules are absolute. And despite having worked for him almost as long as you've been learning to control your Chaos magic, you are undoubtedly more loyal to your own family.
“But I failed, raising her not as she was but as an undead, flash-devouring monster.” your future self continues, snapping you out of your thoughts. “If Megumin perishes, do not try to save her yourself. No matter how powerful you think you are.”

“What? Are you telling me to let her die?!” you ask him, shocked. But he shakes his head, holding his hand out and creating a figure out of crystal. You see the magic form into the shape of your father in his third Berserker form as the colors start filling in, but something's different. You also see what looks like a crimson-scaled dragon wrapped around his arm. Wait, that couldn't be-could it?
“Is that Dad's Stand?” Broly asks, his thoughts going along the same path yours had.
“Yes. His Divine Dragon Force can perfectly revive someone, even if-” your future you says, then you see his entire body tense up. He closes his fist, shattering the crystal sculpture as you suddenly sense several deathly magical signatures spring up around you all. Your future you spins clockwise, crystals rapidly growing and shaping into a large scythe he swings towards the figures. But as he spins, the crystal scythe passes through them harmlessly as their images fade. ”Tch! Damn ghosts.”

“Traaaaaaiiiitooooorrr!!” the ghostly figures all howl simultaneously, lunging towards him with their ghostly, skeletal fingers outstretched. You feel your life force draining as these lesser undead Reapers charge, you and Broly immediately leaping into the air away from the six of them. But your future self stays put, his ki suddenly changing. Not into the divine power of a Super Saiyan God or Blue, nor the ferocious might of a Primal Saiyan. But something different, something still divine but different. His ki blazes up around him, shifting into a pinkish divine aura that seems more purple towards the center. Wait, how did he unlock this particular power? You'd thought only inherently-divine beings who gained access to Saiyan powers could use it. “DIIIIIEEEEEE!”

“Death Magic: Reaper's Grasp.” your future self says, deathly magic radiating from him. While that spell's active, you know he can kill absolutely anything. Resistances or even immunities to attacks don't matter, as that magic will shred any defense. You know how to use that spell as well, but don't use it often as the spell is a double edge'd sword. While you're able to damage anything while that spell is imbuing you with Death, it also weakens you yourself, allowing nearly any attack to damage you as well. But against being you can't actually hurt otherwise, it is a tremendous ability.

“Periiiiish!!” the specters wail, surging even closer to your future self. And once he judges them close enough, attacks. Your future self draws ki into both hands, forming fistfuls of razor-sharp crystals, then lunges forward. He moves faster than you can track, one moment standing still then the next he's standing where the one directly in front of him was, fist straight through it's head. The ghastly form simply fades away into nothing, screaming as it dissolves. But the ones directly to either side immediately turn, attacking him from both sides.
“Look out!” you shout, your future self simply smirking and tosses the handfuls of dagger-like crystals away towards both sides of himself. The dozen-ish crystals impale the two specters, both howling in pain as they dissolve into nothing. Three lunge at his back, your future self forming a ki-enfused crystal blade in his right, then spins. Twisting clockwise, his magic and ki blade bisects the three. The last three specters all shriek, also fading away into nothing. He ends his spell and transformation simultaneously. “Woah.”

“I've been here too long.” your future self says, and with a literal snap of his fingers your maelstrom simply ENDS. Your jaw drops, shocked at his complete control over the forces of Chaos. “Remember what I said, Chilli. Please.”

Then without another word creates a swirling Chaos portal, stepping through it without looking back. As soon as he's through it vanishes, disappearing as if it never were. You and Broly share a look, and both power down. He clearly no longer feels like sparring anymore, and you completely agree with the sentiment. After all, you have your Chaos magic to master.

The fuck? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!
>>
>>5122530
This was a fun one.
>>5122544
Like what?
>>
>>5122533
What kills Megumine, how did Chilli get Rose, how come Chilli didn't try Divine Dragon Forces Wish first? How long has Future Chilli been running?
>>
>>5122552
What happened to Megumine being put down the second time, is Future Chilli even part of the Time War, or is he just running from Jergal and his legions across time and space?
>>
>>5122532
I have so many Goddamn questions.
Chief among them is why didn't he look for the Dragon Balls?
Surely Towa or Karn would have told him about them as soon as they heard that Megumin had passed.
>>
>future future chilli
>future chilli
>future broly
nice.
>>
>>5122558
In super it's explained if you die to a demon you need the super dragon balls to fix shit, and DDF is probably the only other thing that could fix that. megumin might of gotten hit by mechikabura fuckery and died that way.
>>
>>5122562
Yeah, I could see that happening.
One thing that stuck out to me is that Chilli eventually figured out that he could revive Megumin with DDF, implying that he actually went and made that wish.
I have to wonder what the exact cost of a complete ressurection via DDF is.
>>
>>5122627
I bet his karn made that wish and had bad shit occur while DDF was down and he was weakened, because what it sounds like is the way she died wasn't simple and as such probably took more power, such as she did die to a demon or some shit.
>>
I think I may know why Future-Future Chilli got Rose instead of Blue.

Remember when Jergal gave Chilli a small speck of raw divinity? I think that may have permanently fucked with him. Been a pet theory of mine for a while, and I'm excited to see something that may support it.

On the topic of the Supreme Cunt of Time, has she managed to delude herself into thinking her lapdogs have a shot against Karn again?

Does Whis know that Karn has been travelling through time at the behest of Towa?
>>
>>5124073
>her lapdogs have a shot against Karn again?
Not individually.
>Is Xeno Vegeta still just pulling a Goku
He hasn’t been since he first came face-to-face with Karn. But SKoT isn’t a complete idiot, and has carefully controlled what information the prince gets about your timelines.
>Does Whis know
No.
>>
>>5124795
>But SKoT isn’t a complete idiot
Debatable.
>and has carefully controlled what information the prince gets about your timelines.
It sure would be a shame if we challenged Xeno Vegeta to a one-on-one match under the condition that it's held on New Salda in our timeline.
>No.
If he did know, would he get off his bright blue ass for once?
>>
>>5124859
As if such a thing could EVER happen. She’d never allow her side to break the rules and change history.
And no, Time shennanigans aren’t his domain. Most he’d do is give a verbal warning, but cannot directly interfere as that would be interfering in the affairs of mortals
>>
>>5125072
>She’d never allow her side to break the rules and change history
Somehow I get the feeling Vegeta wouldn't let that stop him. Even if he gets cock-blocked, he'd certainly ask himself "That timeline is already altered, what does it matter if I fight with Karn there?"
>>
>>5125290
He isn't satisfied, but realistically knows there isn't much he can do. Xeno Vegeta is a realist

I really need to set aside a day to reread this quest. Almost everything pre-episode 100ish is mostly a blur to me, though I’d chalk that up to being wasted for most of the first two years of SCQ.

The worst arc, hands down. But we made it through my lowest low, and I learned a lot of do’s and don’ts for QMing from it.
>>
>>5126195
Yeah, glad that happened before rather than later. Ever since that arc I feel it has been a steady climb up for this quest. We have a world full of characters to give a shit about and then some, kickass fights and/or onesided slaughters, a compelling plotline, well balanced SOL, and surprisingly threatening antagonists. I was worried that being a super duper saiyan meant that all threats would be garlic jr. tier at best, but Nefarious, the Covenant, and the Supreme Kunt of Time + the Jobber Patrol kept me at the edge of my seat and Karn on his toes. All in all, good shit GrandDragon.
>>
>>5126022
>Throw up some of the perk lists and other things never meant to be shown
I think that’d work as a good incentive for the more hardcore fans. You could throw in some scans of your notes journal too.
>>
>>5126279
Glad you’ve enjoyed so far, hope you stick around and join in on the journey for hopefully years to come. And yes, I bungled the start of the quest in a LOT of different ways, some narratively others on the new QM or mechanical side that I did my best to improve later. Hard to believe we’ve been running for 168 episodes, and Karn has had at least a taste of Super Saiyan since episode 5. But it’s worked.
>>5126296
>You could throw in some scans of your notes journal too.
I’m not giving away all my secrets, but for some of the number-crunchier anons giving them what some of the different perks do from Karn and/to other characters would help them make their own settings and rules someday. At one point Trunks was so down against Karn, he’d actually maxed out the endless despair debuff. If you ever get this one, you’re basically done. You literally CANNOT succeed, as your roll looks like this. Fair warning, you’ll see why Trunks got demolished in later fights. Small spoiler: 1d100-8(5*2). Yes, stacking as many debuffs as he had at one point made it mathematically impossible for him to succeed against Karn. He had to go back to weaker and weaker versions, where he had overwhelming advantages to counter the debuffs to start removing stacks
>>
>>5126442
There's no way Bane didn't sense that amount of despair in a vastly stronger opponent. He must have been very proud of Karn for being able to inflict such mental anguish on another one, in a fairly long-term manner too.
>>
>>5126442
>Those debuffs
holy shit Karn made him even more of a properly whipped bitch than I thought. Explains how he got fucked over so badly to this extent. If The Boi somehow gets rid of all of them, he MIGHT survive longer than 30 seconds.
The poor fool. Maybe if he spent his theoretically infinite time training his shitslop technique and lack of killer instinct, then perhaps he'd be a worthy opponent. Those piddly PQs and lack of braincells around and inside of him are holding his true potential back.
>>
>>5126442
Trunks, the eternal Boi, blown the fuck out like a CNN victim.
>>
>>5126511
The sadder thing is he thinks he's close to his true potential.
>>
>>5126459
He sensed the aura Karn radiates.
>>5126511

It did allow him to remove a bunch of those debuffs, over time. By fighting weaker Karns.

Gohan couldn't train the incompetence out of him, next time we see him, we need to tell him he's only doing this because he knows its his fault he's a fuck up of a Saiyan that can't fight.
>>
>>5126756
I wouldn't blame that lack of skill entirely on Trunks. In his timeline, the martial savant goku died of anime heart disease, meaning Gohan, his "master", had 3 years at BEST of an actual martial artist teaching HIM how to fight before the world went to shit. Gohan's martial arts knowledge was lackluster, and he died before Trunks could even be a super saiyan. And when Trunks was plucked out of his timeline, the only thing Pink Bitch taught him was Lapdog-No-Jutsu. On one hand I feel bad for him having such shitty teachers and an even shittier environment, but on the other I am frustrated that he has quite literally all the time in the world to reflect AND can get tips on how to git gud in a city full of the universe's most talented martial artists.
>>
>>5126816
He could have still taught him without being Super Saiyan, holy shit even our kids do that, Canon Vegeta does that much! Pink Bitch aside he has access to the best teachers possible, and doesn't, fucking, use them. He is a fuck up by choice.
>>
>>5126748
True. Hell, Cell calls him out for it, breaks his spirit, and Trunks still does NOTHING about it.
>>5126756
Ha.
>>5126816
But Gohan would have no doubt learned from both Goku(for less than thn a year due to heart virus), then another two under Piccolo before the androids arrived. The best “training” Trunks received, pre-Time Patrol was his time with Vegeta in the chamber.
Once there though, he has no excuses for how little he’s learned.

Honestly, from a narrative standpoint, there is no way in hell that Trunks, the way he is now, will ever truly beat Karn in a fight (unless he somehow masters Asspull Judo or we roll like complete and utter dogshit). Ironic how The Boi and his chucklefuck comrades have superior resources, less distractions, and greater numbers when it comes to training, yet get mogged by the Karn Clan and Friends. Hell, the only time they won was by throwing their strongest fighters against a now much weaker Karn back-to-back, and even then the SKoT had to step in and throw Karn in time jail, which he escaped from in record time.

Damn you Carlos!
But in all seriousness, they lack one important trait: Determination. Determination, willpower, or just pure onery-ness, whatever you want to call it, it all means the same thing. While the Time Patrol are fighting to win, and feel good from that endorphin rush, Karn is fighting to LIVE. Unlike them, Karn fights as if his life’s on the line in every single battle.
>>5126998
Got to respect the dedication to the bit.
>>5127019
Nice. Just remember, the #1 stat isn’t power, speed, control, or even plot armor. Your best stat(also as a QM) should be Determination.
>>
>>5127023
>Unlike them, Karn fights as if his life’s on the line in every single battle.
>as if
Got to agree though, the several lifelines and advantages the time patrol have just keep them complacent and hinder any sense of urgency. Even when they fucking DIE they have infinite do-overs, so for them it's a temporary loss and not much is at stake. On the flipside, Karn's biggest and most meaningful fights have him on the backfoot, and he comes out on top not because of sheer power, but his resolve to keep fighting, his conviction to protect his home, friends, and family, and just being made of pure Saiyan grit and ruthlessness. If Karn dies, he dies with no ifs, ands, or buts. Meanwhile the average Time Patroller has died like 15 times and was only late to a conference or some shit. If you have infinite chances, why bother as much for an opportunity to win when there's "always next time"?
I have to wonder though, how many Patrollers would wish they brought their brown pants if Karn or Mechikabura severed those lifelines, and no dragon balls could fix it?
>>
>>5127023
I'm still waiting for that day an intermission is made on how the time patrol realizes Karn has both literally never died and how depressing that is for them.
>>
>>5126984

>>
>>5127199

>>
>>5127242
You had plenty of choices, maybe you should take your time so much
>>
>>5127089
>and hinder any sense of urgency
Exactly. That complacency in and of itself weakens almost all of them. Goku is of course the exception, as he’s always striving for greater and greater heights in every fight.
Wait until Fu perfects his device, and losing means you’re just gone. They’ll quit being complacent at that point unfortunately.
>>5127106
Trunks already knows. Even peering through the potential future timelines, he’s seen time and time again Karn defy impossible odds. He doesn’t always win, but Trunks knows how much worse Karn COULD be. He’s seen many Punished Karns, and wishes you’d all just stay in your own timelines and never come fight in the Time War again.
>>5127191
Not quite. That is the default, after all. But complacency breeds mediocrity, and most Time Patrollers have become lax about the job. When death truly isn’t a consequence anymore, warriors lose their drive, and that ferocity that granted them earlier success. And being completely indifferent to dying requires either severe trauma or specialized training to overcome.
>>
>>5127757
>He doesn’t always win, but Trunks knows how much worse Karn COULD be. He’s seen many Punished Karns, and wishes you’d all just stay in your own timelines and never come fight in the Time War again.
The Council Of Karn's shall begin the sentencing, BOOOOOOOOOIIIIII
>>
>>5127757
>They’ll quit being complacent at that point unfortunately
Then the only thing left to do is make their losses in that moment catastrophic.
If we can take Goku or Vegeta out of the game permanently, I'd consider that the beginning of the end for the Time Patrol.
If they lose Vegito and Gogeta, they've lost the only fighters who could really compete with Future Chaya on even ground.
>>
>>5127907
When the time comes I'm voting for ganking Goku. Too careless to live, and is basically the biggest threat in the game. While The Boi is probably pissing himself in fear and every patroller is pretty much scrambling to get their asses in gear, we shank Goku from behind with DDF.
>>
>>5127913
Honestly, I think we could pull it off. Obviously we'd have to coordinate with Future Chaya since Goku and Vegeta are gonna fuse right off the bat in any confrontation.
That said, if she can last until they separate, we should totally make a go at one of them.
This all hinges on whether or not we can actually finish our fight fast enough to take advantage of that opening though.
>>
>>5127951
Work's slow, so I've been trying to lay out the actual steps for permanently removing one of the big two.
So far I have a rough outline.
>Bring all of Towa's forces into another timeline under the guide of doing [insert illegal act]
>Once the Time Patrol show up, engage in battle as we normally do
>Ideally we score normal kills on the 3 Idiots and/or whoever squares off against us
>Same for Meloka, Cell, and Chilli if he gets brought along
>Ace is (presumably) backing up Future Chaya against Vegito/Gogeta
>the instant they defuse, Karn and Meloka Instant Transmission in force Goku and Vegeta away from each other
>Once we have them occupied, we pick one to remove and have Cell Instant Transmission in and stun them (Solar Flare maybe?)
>Slap the unlucky bastard with the device and retreat to Towa's Sanctuary
>Laugh as the Time Patrol just lost their best fighter
Obviously this plan is still in it's early stages, not to mention far too many things are left to chance.
We're also working with far too little information as to who the Time Patrol would field in this scenario.
We also need to make a decision as to who we should remove before going into battle.
My inclination is towards Goku, but grabbing Vegeta has its own benefits.

Ha. But no, both sides do not wish for there to be such a thing.
>>5127907
>Then the only thing left to do is make their losses in that moment catastrophic
Yes. If it works, you cripple the enemy. But if you fail, you just Pearl Harbor/Alamo’d yourself.
>>5127913
Killing him would not erase him, as SKoT can revive him.
>>5127951
>since Goku and Vegeta are gonna fuse right off the bat in any confrontation.
If they don’t roll up pre-fused.
>>5128091
The best plan is to allow Towa’s assistant android Churai, who’s an undetectable android, to appear and get one the instant either warrior, or both, are momentarily incapacitated. But Fu, Towa, and Mechikabura already have their plans for his device.
>>
>>5128125
>Ha. But no, both sides do not wish for there to be such a thing.
I do find it odd that despite regularly encountering alternate timeline counterparts of everybody, including our family, there's only a single Karn running around (as far as we know).
I can't imagine any of the other Towas would willingly give up the chance of having such a capable fighter on their side.
Did Mechikabura make a rule regarding Karn specifically?
>>
>>5128139
The only other version of yourself you’ve seen so far(excluding the what-if’s and alt futures) was Punished Karn. The problem is most other Karns die young, either before or alongside Planet Vegeta.
As for Mechikabura no, he’d love more Karn. Unfortunately, most of the others don’t fare so well and he has no use for the weak ones
>>
>>5128162
It's comments like that that remind of Mechikabura testing us to make sure Karn was "the real deal".
It's not as if we weren't very quickly heading towards being just another mook before Towa made an offer to us.
If I were Mechikabura, I'd be finding a desperate Karn and make him an offer he can't refuse.
>>
>>5128139
I'm surprised that SKoT didn't try that herself. With all the various timelines around, she could've gotten a Tuffle-loving, god-fearing, patroller-worshipping bizarro Karn to fight us. Apologies in advance for bringing crossover quest autism, but the closest /qst/ protagonist that's Karn's opposite in this scenario is Rettace from Saiyan Awakening.
>>5128162
Ah, that makes a lot of sense. So Mechi and all the other Towas either have to wait for the main timeline to catch up with the alt future epilogues or settle for a weak as shit Karn.
>>
>>5128195
Don't feel too bad about it.
It's not like you brought up Tofoo or something.
>>
>>5128125
>Ha. But no, both sides do not wish for there to be such a thing.
Why? Because Pink Bitch could never stop that tide and Mechi would have to deal with all the Towa's being wifed, pregnant, and minding kids?
>>
>>5128212
Really though, imagine it. Imagine a Karn that on top of being a motivated badass with more than a little to lose, also had as much time as Future Chaya to train.
The Time Patrol wouldn't stand a chance.
>>
>>5128307
>Trunks and his goons crash another one of the Karn Clan's weddings due to time travel nonsense
>Trunks trained for months to face His wrath again
>Karn locks eyes with Trunks
>But doesn't immediately attack
>Just smirks
>Something's not right
>Another Karn, most likely from the future shows up
>Both Karns look at each other, but don't say a word
>The Boi's face when Future Karn immediately transforms into beserker god
>hfw he has no face
>>
>>5128190
He studied most Karns upon his resurrection, once he learned that SKoT hadn’t recruited that one Karn again yet.
>>5128195
A good quest, hope the QM does well.
And not quite. Time’s a bit different, and the seperate timelines don’t progress linerally.
>>5128204
Oof.
>>5128212
It would have disastrous consequences.

The council of Karns can't exist, because Karns wouldn't assemble into a council.
At best you'd have a bunch of dads cooking meat for a day together, cracking open some cold ones and doing pushup contests with each other at increasing levels of gravity.
And you can't call that a council. It's just a grill party.
>>
>>5128445
Holes. The word your looking for is ear holes.
>>5128599
The various Karns, if they could all meet somewhen, would inevitably swap either kid raising or war horror stories, depending on their respective timelines.
>>
>>5128599
>bunch of karns in a lounge somewhere showing baby photos to each other
>discussing the best way to grill oversized fish
>swapping stories of near death experiences
>someone mentions trunks
>the boos are so intense and filled with disdain that the real Trunks takes 10d6 psychic damage with no save
>>
>>5128625
>>the boos are so intense and filled with disdain
Not quite, as most Karn aren’t even angry at him anymore. Just disappointed.
>>
>>5129245
I imagine that 2/3rds of the fights with The Boi so far are less "fights" for Karn and more like putting a brainwashed lapdog out of his misery. Kind of like Old Space Yeller but not really.
>>
>>5129447
It's at this point that I can't hate Trunks, but I can certainly express extreme disappointment in what he's become.
It wouldn't even sting this badly if it weren't for the fleeting moment of understanding he had way back when.
>>
>>5129245
They aren't even booing at Trunks, they're booing at the Karn that brought him up for souring the mood. Trunks is just taking AoE damage.
>>
>>5129447
I am legend comes to mind when thinking of the boy. But how will Karn handle it when he learns that, unlike Ace, Trunks certainly ISN’T brainwashed? But is a willing assistant.
>>5129477
He has chosen his path. For better or worse.
>>5129478
HA
>>
>>5129587
>Trunks certainly ISN’T brainwashed
The most powerful delusion one can have is believing they're doing the right thing.
The road to Hell being what it is, it's no wonder Trunks took to his current position.
I like to imagine there's a hint of begrudging respect from Karn given that Trunks is at least sticking to his principles (as far as he's aware).
Granted, that respect is overshadowed by disappointed and lingering frustration, but still.
>>
>>5129587
>He has chosen his path. For better or worse.
For worse, when war occurs I hope he realizes he was the one that helped the greatest threat to reality.
>>
>>5129616
>The most powerful delusion one can have is believing they're doing the right thing.
Right? Self-righteousness is one hell of a drug, which is why so many stupid people nowadays are so damn preachy.
>The road to Hell being what it is, it's no wonder Trunks took to his current position.
Absolutely.
>>5129644
>when war occurs
It’s still going on.
>>
>>5129587
>But how will Karn handle it when he learns that, unlike Ace, Trunks certainly ISN’T brainwashed? But is a willing assistant.
If Karn ever learns about Trunks's whole backstory behind joining the Time Patrol, and is willing to reflect, I could see him being a little more sympathetic. Both were forced to join or die; if the Saiyans resisted Frieza's will, he'd blow them up, and if Trunks refused Chronoa's offer, she would've sent him right back to his timeline to be bug food, or worse. And eventually, both became loyal to their respective sides because it was the easiest and least risky option to survive. But that's where the surface level similarities end, and Karn would probably think about this for a total of 3 seconds before turning The Boi into chopped liver again.
It's also fun to think about how the PTO and the TP are the exact opposites; Frieza embraces his malevolent nature while the SKoT has every single skeleton stuffed in the time closet.
>>
>>5129949
Honest evil >>>>>> dishonest evil
Oh, sorry "justified evil". My ass.
>>
>>5129949
Big if. But he certainly would, to a point. Karn understands loyalty, after all.
>It's also fun to think about how the PTO and the TP are the exact opposites; Frieza embraces his malevolent nature while the SKoT has every single skeleton stuffed in the time closet.
In that one regard, yes. But other than that, they’re far more similar than different. A single powerful entity ruling over those perceived as ‘lesser beings’, using disposable foot soldiers to accomplish their goals and spread the supreme one’s rule and capture/kill those who refuse to fall in line. As ThEy’Re SuPpOsEd To
>>
>>5129988
Yeah seriously.
An honest maniac is much more respectable than a disingenuous sociopath.
>>
24 hours until 169 begins, and we’ll get to see how Trunks reacts to seeing Karn after everything he’s going through.
>>
>>5130537
Given Trunks' current circumstances, I do feel kinda bad for him.
Oh well.
>>
>>5130537
The slow BOOOOOOOIIIII to come is giving me insomnia.
>>
>>5130720
It is unfortunate for him, as Karn would certainly be able to sympathize with him. Having been captured by the enemy himself.
>>5130743
Ha
>>
>>5130537
Can't wait for either more Karn PTSD or The Boi's foolish optimism. Either result will make me happy
>>
>>5130537
honestly i could see karn making an argument for freeing trunks because locking him up and causing necrosis is some shit and thats not shit karn is ok with. karn is a great many things but he's typically not a torturer, so he'd want the boi at least freed if nothing else.

Tell me. For whom do you fight?

Hmph! How very glib. And do you believe in the Time Patrol? The Time Patrol's unity is forged of falsehoods. Conton City is built on deceit. And its faith is an instrument of deception.

It is naught but a cobweb of lies. To believe in the Time Patrol is to believe in nothing. In the Time Rifts, the Time Breakers often use the power granted by their leaders to win at any cost--though your comrades only rarely respond in kind. Which is strange, is it not?

Are the gods otherwise engaged? I was given to understand they were your protectors. If you truly believe them your guardians, why do you not repeat the trick that served you so well at Belzerg, and call them down? They will answer--so long as you lavish them with worship and gorge them on food. Your gods are no different than those of the demons--autocrats every one. Accept but this, and you will see how the Time Patrol's faith is bleeding the universe dry.

Nor is this unknown to your masters. Which prompts the question: Why do they cling to these false deities? What drives even men of learning--even the great Gohan--to grovel at their feet? The answer? Your masters lack the strength to do otherwise! For the universe to mean anything, mortals must own the universe. To this end, he hath fought ever to raise himself through conflict--to grow rich through conquest. And when the dust of battle settles, is it ever the strong who dictate the fate of the weak.

Knowing this, but a single path is open to the impotent ruler--that of false worship. A path which leads to enervation and death. Only a man of power can rightly steer the course of civilization. And in this universe of creeping mendacity, that one truth will prove its salvation.

Come, champion of the Time Patrol, face me! Your defeat shall serve as proof of my readiness to rule! It is only right that I should take your realm. For none among you has the power to stop me!
