After ten long years of adventuring in the World Labyrinth, you finally scrounged together enough coin to buy yourself a proper atelier. From this day forward, you'll no longer need to work out of your [Handy Haversack] with tools designed for quickly setting up and breaking down on a moment's notice. Losing a batch of potions because monsters decided to attack in the night and your party needed to break camp will forever be a thing of the past. You will never have to choose between a half-finished project and bringing the corpses of your allies back to the church for healing and resurrection again. Best of all, you won't be spending a single copper more on a tavern's long term rent.

Sure, it's a bit of a fixer-upper.
But that just means that you can remake the tower however you want it to be!

Sure, that shady dwarf warned you that the tower was cursed.
But where laymen see 'curses', an artificer like you sees 'potential power sources'!

Sure, it sits at the furthest edge of the civilized world, overlooking the stormy cliffs that border the Sea of Nightmares.
But the land parcel it comes with gives you a whole county to yourself!

For every negative, you can see at least one positive. Maybe even two or three if you squint!

Honestly, that's better than most of your personal relationships, so you can chalk your purchase up as an absolute win. Your former party members were competent, for sure, but each of them had a really rotten personality. Kaede was a layabout, Gertrude had a stick up her arse (and not in the fun way), and Sam only cared about vengeance against society or whatever. You could get along with them well enough, but you could feel the murderous tension that stood between them. Hopefully they went their separate ways without cutting eachother down, now that the glue which kept them working together has moved on to a better life.

And a better life this will be. You have plans for the not-quite-dilapidated ruins that you purchased from that shady dwarf down south. Plans that involve branches of alchemy not widely accepted in the south... but not so widely feared that the church will send inquisitors to burn you as a witch or something.

Spending ten years alongside wretched women like that useless samurai, that prickly knight, and that angry ninja have left you with a powerful desire for proper female company. Radiant smiles, soft and tender bodies, skills enough to keep a homely house, and a certain shamelessness when it comes to spoiling you rotten. In other words, a harem of homunculus servants that are just far enough from human to live happily as your humble slaves. That's what you want to build here, and house here.

So naturally, once you arrive, you get right to work.

As an experienced artificer, you knew that the first constructs to be created were crucial for setting the tone of your new atelier. So, with a mischievous gleam in your eye, you got right down to work.

First up were the Stonework Field Tillers. These little golems resembled small humanoid figures made entirely out of stone and had been designed specifically for tilling fields and preparing them for planting crops. With their sturdy frames and powerful arms, they could effortlessly till even the most stubborn soil without breaking a sweat.

However, as much as you enjoyed creating practical constructs such as these ones (and believe me when I say that it was quite satisfying), there was another construct project on your mind - one that would satisfy both your needs and desires: The Floating Onahole Assistant.

With deft hands fueled by alchemical energy gathered from rare ingredients found only within the Labyrinth's depths, you fashioned together a floating assistant unlike any other. It looked like an ordinary orb at first glance but upon closer inspection revealed itself to be something far more exciting: A small-yet-curvaceous nymph, meant to serve as personal assistant and onahole at once!

The nymph was small and delicate, with wings like a butterfly's and hair that shimmered in the light. She floated effortlessly through the air, her body pulsing with magical energy as she waited for your command.

You smiled to yourself as you watched her hover there, knowing full well what kind of pleasure she would bring to your life. Not only could she assist you in your work, but also fulfill all of those desires that had been building up inside of you during those long years on the road.

With a flick of your wrist, you commanded the Floating Onahole Assistant to come closer. And as it approached, its form shifted and changed until it became something altogether different - an object made purely for pleasure rather than utility.

You couldn't help but chuckle at how easily these constructs could be repurposed when they were created by someone with enough skill and imagination. With this new addition to your workshop/fantasy harem complete, there was no telling what other wonders lay ahead...

What will you do?
>Socialize with your creations, getting to better understand their idiosyncrasies

You take a break from your creative endeavors to explore the surrounding area and get a better lay of the land. The tower is situated on top of a rocky cliff that overlooks the stormy Sea of Nightmares, but you can see miles in each direction. You notice that there are several small villages scattered around, all within an easy day's journey.

As you survey your new domain, you realize that managing this property will require more than just creating constructs and indulging in carnal pleasures. You need an actual understanding of the local terrain if you're to make sure everything runs smoothly. And how are you supposed to go epxlpring (or even make time for your new onahole) of you have to micromanage your minions?

That's when it hits you - why not appoint one of your Stonework Field Tillers as a foreman? Welll, foreWOMAN, technically. They are augmentable constructs as well, aftwr all all, so it only makes sense to put one of them to use overseeing other tasks

You scan over your collection of Stonework Field Tillers until one catches your eye: She stands out among her stony brethren with the especially feminine curves carved into her stone form. Her face is chiseled yet still retains some softness around her cheeks and jawline; she has long hair made entirely out of moss which trails down behind her like luscious locks; two large crystals serve as eyes atop where cheekbones would be on any human face.

She looks rugged enough for the job at hand while also exuding femininity - perfect qualities for a construct who will be interacting with you somewhat more often than her sisterly laborers

You approach her slowly, studying every detail about this golem woman before addressing her:

"Greetings," you say calmly but clearly "From now on I want to entrust my land management duties to you, in absence of my direct command."

The female Golem responds by nodding solemnly.

"I am ready whenever needed" she states determinedly

"Excellent!" You grin widely. "In honorific recognition toward such responsibility entrusted upon thou shoulders from henceforth let me grant thee... A name!"

With that, you ponder over some of the possible named which you might assign to this forewoman. After all, names have power in your line of work. Whatever you dub her, it will likely determine the burgeoning personality which the magic within will give rise to. Nothing as potentially problematic as a true will of her own, of course - unless you will it - but it could affect how she carries out her actions and responds to your own.

What will you name her?

You notice that Sable's non-expression seems to subtly darken in expression as you give her the name. It's almost imperceptible, but you catch it nonetheless. You're not sure what to make of this shift, but you decide to brush it off for now and focus on getting your supplies ready.

You gather several useful tools of the adventurer's trade - potions, alchemical ingredients, a map of the surrounding area - and load them up onto your curvy Onahole Assistant for easy transport. As she floats along behind you, she struggles under the weight. But then, what are assistants for?

Once everything is packed up and ready to go, you head out into the plains and woodlands beyond your tower. The air is crisp and cool against your skin, with the saltiness and sea. Distantly, you can hear the crash of the waves upon the shore, but your destination is inland, to the forests of your demesne. One can take the boy out of a life of adventure, but never adventure out of this boy!

As soon as you step onto the grassy plains beyond your tower walls, it becomes apparent how much work there is left to do here. The soil is hard-packed clay with barely any signs of vegetation; this will need to be remedied if crops are going to grow well enough for trade or subsistence farming purposes later on! Sable has her work cut out for her.

The surrounding forests look dense but manageable at first glance - plenty of room between trees without too many underbrush obstacles lying around waiting ambush potential travelers like yourself- but upon closer inspection reveal themselves full thorny bramble patches hidden within them which could prove troublesome when combined with local fauna present.
>>
>>5654619

And such fauna, such flora, even fungi! It's nothing you haven't seen before in your adventuring days, but this land has some particularly unusual specimens, especially to find all in one place: there are vines that wrap around trees and slither like serpents, fungi that glow with an eerie green light in the dark, flowers whose scent causes hallucinations. You take note of all these things as you wander through the woods, your Onahole Assistant trailing behind you, 'oo'ing and 'aah'ing in imitation of impressionable fascination.

As you continue to explore the woods, a small blue porcupine catches your eye. You approach it, crouching and holding out your hand, but with a burst of incredible speed it dashes across the offered limb, leaps into the air, balls itself up and flies past your head!
When you turn around, it's stillmoving at an incredibly fast pace for its size and seems to be in possession of something shiny that glints in the light. With a start, you realize you recognize it: it's some of your coins, taken right from your Onahole Assistant's pack without her noticing!

Without much thought, you give chase through the dense underbrush. Your Onahole Assistant tries her best to keep up with you as she bounces along behind but ultimately falls far enough back that it's just down between yourself and this little creature running away with some stolen goods.

As soon as he realizes he has been spotted by someone who can actually keep up with him - [Haste] works wonders - the blue porcupine starts zigzagging wildly around trees, making it difficult for even an experienced adventurer like yourself to catch them! For the first time, you begin wishing you had your old party with you...

At this point what do you decide?

As an Artificer, you cannot “cast spells” in the most literal sense. Your [Haste], for instance, is a product of a potion brewed well in advance. For that same reason, you have no access to those crude (if effective) implements of eliminating enemies such as [Power Word: Kill] or [Fireball]. However, as a master of the arts of enchantment and alchemy, your fingers flow with a magic all their own, and you are never at a loss for a solution to a problem like some pesky rodent.

Yes, it will live (or not) and learn to regret meddling with you! You slip a hand into your pocket and produce…

>A portable gravity well to slow it
>An ice-spider silk impact grenade to ensnare it
>A bottle of sleep -spores to pacify it
>A bottle of giant’s blood to temporarily enlarge and empower yourself
>A charm to empower your Onahole Assistant

Of course, whatever you use here will no longer be in your inventory to handle future problems… But this is your retirement! What are the chances you’ll ever need any of this junk ever again?

You reach into your pocket and pull out an ice-spider silk impact grenade. You quickly throw it at the blue porcupine, aiming to ensnare it rather than harm it. The grenade explodes on impact, releasing a web of icy silk that covers and immobilizes the thieving creature, before rapidly hardening into a crystalline chrysalis.

You approach the porcupine, examining it closely to make sure it isn’t hurt. It appears to be unharmed, just very stuck. You carefully extract your stolen coins from the bundle of silk, leaving the porcupine to struggle harmlessly in its bonds. You turn to your Onahole Assistant, who has finally caught up to you.

“Good job keeping up,” you say, patting her on the head. “I think we’ve caught ourselves a little thief.”

You examine your captive critter carefully, and find it more agitated at its immobility than it is afraid. Small, but feisty! To your (literal) shock, it also seems to be capable of emitting small electric charges, which causes you to drop the agitated animal.

Hm, could make for an interesting alchemical ingredient. Or a power source? Maybe even a familiar.

Or… Well, it’s a forbidden avenue of alchemy, but that’s part of why you came here to this remote atelier in the first place, isn’t it? You could attempt to [Awaken] and [Anthropomorphize] it to make yourself another servant: one who knows the local area!

What will you do?

You decide to study the blue porcupine for its potential as a power source. The electric charges it emits could be harnessed and utilized in your alchemical creations or even potentially used to power your operations. This means cutting your escapades in the woods short, but it was beginning to get dark anyway. best not to be out too late on one's own (or with only an Onahaole for company) this close to the Nightmare Sea.

make your way back towards home base: Your atelier tower on the edge of civilization.
As soon as you arrive back at your tower with goods collected during exploration trip (and unconscious thief), Sable approaches expectantly. She is a silent sentinel, and her body language gives nothing away – somewhat withdrawn, a little stiff. You look past her at the good work the Stonework Field Tillers have done. Tireless labourers that they are, they have managed to till the land to ready it for the planting of crops.

Feeling satisfied with their progress, you turn back to Sable.

"I have brought something interesting back from our trip," you announce, gesturing towards the blue porcupine still in its crystallized chrysalis.

Sable looks at it curiously but doesn't say anything. You can sense her unease - perhaps she understands on some level what this creature is dangerous? As it squirms helplessly in its slowly-dethawing cocoon, though, it can only spark and squeak in vain.

"Let's see if we can extract any energy from this little guy," you say excitedly.
>>
>>5655236
With careful precision, using only tools of your own design (naturally), you pull out small amounts of blood and tissue samples while avoiding damaging most vital organs or inducing fatal damage that might make harvesting such materials impossible. You can see that this animal is a genuine magical beast – it generates magical energies, rather than being a passive vessel for environmental ones!

In the end, you decide these blue porcupines are best utilized as…

> Power Sources/Generators : the electric charge emitted by the blue porcupine could be harnessed to conduct electrical currents in various devices and machines, allowing them to function without relying on conventional power sources.
> Alchemical Catalysts: Certain properties of this creature's blood or tissue samples might have an alchemical effect that could enhance potions or other magical items; at the very least, you could produce [Haste] potions quite easily with a steady supply of material, and even [Quicken] other spells.
> Shock Weapons: The electric charge could be weaponized and used to create weapons that can stun or paralyze opponents—grenades, even multi-use tools!
>Magical Traps: The electrical and kinetic energies and sharp quills of the blue porcupine make it ideal for creating traps – which, depending on what else is living out there on the edge of the known world could be VERY useful.
>Something else

As night falls over your new domain once more, exhausted yet exhilarated by all today’s adventures may bring tomorrow seeming far off indeed… And worst of all, with no crops yet grown, you find yourself hungry. You still have some rations with you from your travels, but they’re nothing you’d consider especially appetizing. Better by a good sight than the [Ring of Sustenance] which you once wore, though – a practical thing, but clinging to a flavorless half-life while always just BARELY full is hardly in keeping with your idea of a worthy reward for all your travails! Even rations are rather spartan, frankly, and a sad step down from heroes’ banquets at the culmination of your quests.

You decide to set aside the porcupine for now and focus on more pressing matters – like hunger. You grab a ration from your pack, tearing open the paper wrapping which packages it with your teeth before stuffing its contents in your mouth.

You chew slowly, feeling each bite go down as you savor what little flavor there is. It’s not much, but it’ll do for now. Cursed fat, dried wild berries, and the faintest hint of the memory of MAYBE meat. No, you won't miss these when they're gone... Which, now you suppose, they are.

Once you’ve finished eating, you settle back into one of the comfortable chairs near the fireplace. As your Onahole Assistant moves around silently tending to various tasks within her capabilities (mostly idle dusting which wobbling her cushy rear at eye-level), you begin thinking about how best to utilize that blue porcupine's magical energy potential.

Harnessing electricity could be useful in powering machines; perhaps even creating an electric-powered construct? Or a means to power advanced alchemical experimentation, such as in the sort of proper laboratory you could only DREAM of in the field? As appealing as these ideas are though they're still far off - so first thing's first: You need some way of harvesting electrical energy in large enough... amounts. Fascinating as the little magical beast is, it is only a single, small power source...
>>
>>5655417

Bah, these are things to think about tomorrow! You are tired. It's been a long day already and you should be focusing on more important matters: indulging in carnal desires.

The Onahole Assistant would certainly provide some release for pent-up frustrations with her eager-to-please demeanor. Her body was designed specifically for pleasure - there was no doubt that she could satisfy any fantasy or desire. A mere three-hands high, she's nevertheless BUILT to take dick from either end. She's wordless, though, and nameless... Though you suppose you could change that.

Sable’s quiet strength has always been an appeal too – both physically and mentally. She exudes confidence without being overbearing; perhaps it comes naturally when one doesn't have much in the way of a face to emote? And while her smooth, beautifully-carved stone exterior might seem tough at first glance (pun not intended), underneath lies something far softer... Not just figuratively speaking either! You built her and all of her 'sisters' with a hidden heated core within her stony frame which promises warmth if properly stimulated...

And then there are those Stonework Field Tillers: they’re sturdy enough, and two or three can take turns tending to you while the third watches (and maintains watch). Even knowing the land here is (probably?) abandoned of other sapient beings, it provides a certain thrill to contemplate plowing them while they plow your fields, out in the great outdoors.

They'll all be compliant partners who don’t ask questions or make unreasonable demands, nor even require much mood-setting… As loyal constructs created by your own capable hands, nothing will ever come between them following orders given by yours truly!

In other words…

So little interest in the main 'thrust' of the quest? How strange.

But if you're considering multiple 'partners' anyway, why settle for chaff when you can have wheat?

"Assistant, go get Sable."

You think you'll take them both for a test-ride, thank you very much!

As you wait, you contemplate the various ways in which you could enjoy their company. Perhaps a threesome with both of them at once? Or maybe one after the other – starting with Sable’s stoic exterior and then moving on to your more pliable assistant?

The possibilities are endless... and all very exciting.

Soon enough, they enter the room together: The curvaceous nymph hovering gently beside your stony forewoman as if she's escorting royalty!

You give them both a nod of approval, admiring the contrast between their forms as they stand side by side. Sable’s smooth stone skin gleams in the flickering light of the fireplace while your Onahole Assistant's soft curves and delicate features are almost like her polar opposite.

"Come closer," you beckon to them with a wave of your hand.

They approach you obediently, each taking up position on either side of your chair. You run a hand over Sable’s cool surface before turning to face your Onahole Assistant who is already cooing softly in anticipation. Without another word, you pull down her top revealing two perky breasts that beg for attention.

Sable looks down at herself with what you might almost take for self-consciousness; perhaps it's hard not to when standing next someone so much softer and rounder…

As you catch your breath, still reeling from the powerful orgasm that just rocked through your entire body like an earthquake – caused not least thanks due diligence put forth by these lovely companions – you realize once more why constructing them had been such a wise investment: they are always available whenever desire strikes… And now ever-more experienced at fulfilling those desires too!

Indeed their skillful attentions leave nothing wanting; if anything perhaps giving rise instead only greater hunger? Though whether this urge will be satisfied alongside other urges remains to be seen.

As you bask in the afterglow of your carnal indulgences, a sudden crashing sound interrupts your reverie. At first, you think it's just the hammering of your heart from recent exertions - but then another crash follows and this time there is no mistaking it: someone (or something) has entered your property without permission!

You jump to action immediately – ordering Sable and The Assistant o follow your while grabbing your bag from where it hangs on the chair beside you, ever within reach.

Emerging into the night air outside, you see several of Stonework Field Tillers destroyed by mysterious shadowy vandals who disappear into darkness upon spotting you! Cursing yourself for letting down your guard so carelessly when surrounded by such valuable assets… Perhaps you should not have chosen to take both your 'supervisory' models for playtime at once?

After taking stock of what remains with some quick calculations about losses incurred against gains gained thus far, you realize just what a terrible hit this is to your resources. Damn them!

The shadows responsible are fleeing in the direction of the cliffs--and of the Nightmare Sea.

What will you do about this?

You quickly instruct Sable to guard the tower and keep a watchful eye out for any further intruders while you set out with your Onahole Assistant in pursuit of these shadowy attackers. You know that you must be cautious if you are to avoid being detected by these mysterious assailants.

As you lead the way, moving slowly and deliberately, careful not to make too much noise or draw attention to yourselves. Your construct companion follows closely behind as quietly as she can manage. The darkness covers your tracks well enough: this is fortunate since neither of you is especially adept at stealth. You had a ninja for that, once upon a time!

You move through dense foliage avoiding noisy twigs underfoot until finally coming upon an open clearing where your prey awaits at its edge: rubbery black things, flitting about just above waves' surface which seems somehow greasy-looking beneath the gibbous moon!

Despite being shocked by how loathsome-yet-fascinating these creatures appear up close (with bulbous horn-like protrusions atop heads like flattened spheres), you waste no time adapting new plans on seeing such enemies before them!

You order your nymph slave down low into her hovering sphere lest it glow too brightly against silhouette-less background; then yourself drop flat onto stomach so only head-and-shoulders protrude from tall grasses at perimeter’s side - watching intently without moving otherwise!

These sea-devils seem unaware of your presence despite proximity. The sea-devils continue their chatter in a croaking and clattering language that is difficult to understand. You strain your ears, trying to make sense of what they are saying but it's all gibberish.

Before you can formulate a plan of action, the creatures suddenly disappear beneath the waves without making so much as a splash. You wait for several minutes, expecting them to re-emerge at any moment - but there is no sign of them.

You decide that it's best not to linger here any longer than necessary; whatever these sea-devils are up to cannot be good news for anyone nearby! With this thought in mind (and with your Onahole still following along behind you obediently), you make your way back home whereupon deep thoughts about how to mitigate or make the most of this begin anew. Your mind continues racing as sleep proves elusive due to this new menace from beneath the blue-black waves.

Eventually sleep claims you, under Sable's watchful guard and with your Assistant snuggled butt-to-crotch in the corner of your expansive bed. When you wake, you set yourself to action.

You wasted no time in getting to work. You had been wanting to create another construct for a while now, and the recent attack on your Stonework Field Tillers only reinforced that desire.

The simple clay of the earth was sufficient for hardy laborers but, as demonstrated even by your beautiful Sable, it did not make for the sort of nimbel creature which could serve as a proper guard. You needed more... Athleticism. Using the last of the precious Mimic protoplasm you had on hand, you began crafting a new construct from scratch. This material, translucent half-flesh, was what your Onahole Assistant was made from, and what lent her the flexibility to enable your fun with her. This one would be different though - strong, tomboyish with maybe just a hint of motherly instincts. You were determined to make her perfect.

Hours turned into an entie day as you worked tirelessly, pouring all your skill and knowledge into this creation. Finally, after nearly exhausting yourself completely both physically and mentally; she was ready.

As soon as she came to life, it became evident how formidable she was going to be in combat situations due not only because of her physical strength but also by dint of the limited shape-shifting and self-repair capabilities built into her frame. She stood tall at 7 feet, with flowing black hair tied back into ponytail style and clad in built-in leather armor made out of scale-skin harvested from various monsters slain during adventures over years. Being built into her, it clung like a reptilian seocnd skin, and bounced with her considerable bust when she snapped to attention. Of course, you could have never admitted WHY you were gathering Mimic materials, or even these scales: to be caught red-handed creating such constructs would result in either fines/jail terms depending severity involved.

You amdired this construct with pride, but frowned a little at her reaction time, the sort of dullness in her eyes. A name would help to activate a sort of semi-consciousness, and to give her direction, as it did Sable...

Will you name her?

You grin as you give the new construct a name: Dawn. You notice how her eyes light up, and she seems to adopt a brighter disposition. You reach out your hand towards her, but before you know it; she has reached out herself to rustle your hair with surprising force.

“You’re strong,” you say with admiration in your voice.

Dawn nods in agreement before standing at attention once more. “Orders?”

You gave this one a voice by necessity (the better to yell things like “Inteuder alert!” Or “Halt! Who goes there!”) and it rings out clear as a bell.

“Guard the tower while I investigate last night’s attack,” you command firmly.

“Yes sir!” Dawn replies enthusiastically before giving a salute and heading off towards the side of your estate closest to the cliffs from whence the trouble came. Sable, meanwhile, accompaneis you and your Assistant as you survey the damage done.

It was clear that the ”ea-devils had attacked your Stonework Field Tillers – with a particular prejudice, and exceptional violence. But why? Base territoriality, perhaps? Something… More?

As you examine the damage, you notice a few things that stand out. The attackers seemed to have focused on destroying your Stonework Field Tillers and ignored other parts of your estate such as the atelier tower itself and its surrounding walls - an odd choice if they were simply looking for valuables. However, they also tore up the tilled earth itself. Did they mean to prevent your settlement here?

You also find some curious tracks in the dirt where it seems like something large was dragged away from one of the damaged tillers. Could there be more to this attack than just mere destruction? You note, upon closer inspection, that one of your Tillers is missing her head and torso... Including, alas, the inner core of malleable Mimic-flesh.

This new information only deepens your concern about these underwater creatures, but also gives you an idea: perhaps there is a way for you to turn this situation in your favor...

What will you do with your evening?
>Bring the Tillers inside, and attempt to reconstruct a few of the destroyed ones from remnants
>Set a trap using one of the 'dead' Tillers as bait, with Dawn ready to assist in ambush

We only have a few hours so this may have to be done tomorrow but I'd like to put together a spotlight in our tower and have either a tiller or our assistant man it.
This will give us vision and possibly an intimidation bonus which is doubly effective if our assailants fear light so it can be turned on after they reveal themselves. Failing this potion of infra/night vision will suffice.
Fingers crossed this doesn't end up being a siege.

You begin to formulate a plan. You decide that the best course of action is to set a trap and catch these sea-devils in the act. Your new construct may be stronger than your Stonework Field Tillers, but you also know it still has limitations; besides, if you lose Dawn, you will truly be bankrupt for materials AND bedmates.

With one of the severely damaged Tillers as bait, you rig up an ambush site while Sable keeps watch for any returning seal devils from atop one of your estate walls.

You carefully instruct your remaining tillers on the construction of a rudimentary spotlight, to be powered by the blue porcupine in its little magic-absorbent cage - it glows, and a funnel of metal and wood directs the blue-green glow. The Onahole Assistant, too dopey to help with assembly and too small and fragile to aid in direct combat, mans the spotlight - trained upon the Tiller-bait.

Dawn stands at attention beside you looking fierce whilst readying herself for battle – she's eager almost like a puppy wanting to play fetch! You pat her affectionately on her shapely ass, and lament that you have no time (or energy, having not eaten all day) to break it in properly. As darkness descends over the horizon, you settle in next to your guardian construct. You wish dearly you had a [Cloak of Invisibility] or something of the like, but you sold just about every such valuable item you had to make this atelier hideaway a reality...

As you and Dawn lay in wait, tensions rising with the anticipation of a potential attack, Sable suddenly signals you from her perch atop the wall. You both turn to look just as two sea-devils emerge from beneath the waves, over the horizon, and appearing in the sky behind your tower. They descend upon your broken Tiller-bait almost immediately but seem confused by its damaged state - perhaps expecting it to be fully functional? One of them begins tearing at what remains while sniffing around for clues; clearly they were not anticipating this kind of trap.
>>
>>5656820
At that moment, The Onahole Assistant turns on the spotlight – catching one sea-devil off-guard. It recoils momentarily before quickly recovering and attempting to fly away - only stopping when Dawn leaps up towards it with surprising agility for such a large construct! She tackles it mid-air causing, it to plummet body, clamping iron-thewed thighs around its waist and forcing it into submission. It’s kind of sexy to watch!

You watch with satisfaction as the sea-devil is ensnared by Dawn's powerful limbs while Onahole Assistant keeps spotlight trained upon them at all times, preventing any chance of escape. The blue porcupine dances around excitedly in its cage, sensing that something important is happening - or perhaps it just likes when things get noisy and exciting?

The other sea-devil swoops back and forth out of range of the spotlight, given away by the reflections of on its rubbery black skin or by the way it blots out stars above. Only this allows you to detect it when it wheels around, having spotted you, and descends upon the location where you still lay in watchful observation. You spring to your feet, and you know you need to do something, and fast!

You use...
>A portable gravity well to bring it down to earth
>A bottle of sleep -spores to pacify it
>A bottle of giant’s blood to temporarily enlarge and empower yourself
>A charm to empower the Onahole Assistant so she can engage in aerial combat
>Have Sable and the Tillers step in to defend you like a living wall

You quickly assess your options and decide that relying on magic may not be the best course of action. Instead, you focus on using your own martial skills to outmaneuver the sea-devil.

As it swoops down towards you, ready for attack, you stand still – until the last possible moment when you dodge aside. The creature slams full-speed into the ground with a sickening thud just as Dawn finishes subduing her opponent.

Quickly seizing this opportunity while it's dazed from impact (the fall was hard enough even without being hit first), you manage to box its head between your fists, dazing it! It is barbaric but necessary: these creatures are dangerous predators who will stop at nothing until they have what they want.

Unfortunately... Well, you're a lover and not a fighter.

You quickly realize that your strategy may not have been the best, as you're no soldier and lack the necessary martial skill to truly subdue this creature. It manages to shake off its daze relatively quickly, and before you know it, it's back up in the air – ready for another attack.

As the sea-devil readies itself for another attack, The Onahole Assistant springs to action. She quickly turns on the spotlight once again and catches it off-guard, forcing it to retreat from your estate.

Meanwhile, Dawn drags her captive sea-devil back into the atelier tower where you can examine it more closely. Sable brings in all of the other Stonework Field Tillers as well and slams shut every door and window behind them - you never know what else might be lurking outside waiting for a chance!

You follow Dawn inside with mixed feelings – happy that she was able to capture one of these dangerous creatures but also concerned about how easily just two of them were able to overpower your harem-turned-militia. How are you supposed to grow crops to sustain yourself, beside by such monsters every evening?

Once inside, you begin examining both captured creatures carefully while trying not get too close (lest you lose a finger).

Use an enchantment of comprehend languages if we need to(if we have something like that).
I'd like to sincerely offer it freedom tomorrow if it is willing to answer our basic questions.

Based one what we saw earlier we will likely need to keep it shielded from the sun when dawn comes(hehehe) so we should put it in the basement if we have one or block out the windows to the best of our ability if not. We may also need to hydrate it so have some labourers go to the beach and bring up seawater, enough to immerse our new friend. Safety first though do it in day light with strict orders retreat at the first sign of trouble.
Keep Dawn within couple of metres of us for the foreseeable future I'm still a little paranoid.

As you examine the captured sea-devil, your stomach growls loudly. You lament how much you'd like to eat the bloody thing - after all, anything was better than going hungry for another night.

You quickly regret that thought though; this creature probably tastes terrible anyway and there's no way of knowing whether or not it is safe to consume. Plus, if word got out that you were eating sentient beings (even monsters from beneath the waves)... well let's just say that the slave infused with Mimic-flesh harem would suddenly seem a mild infraction at worst!

Instead of thinking about food any longer (for now), you try questioning the creature in hopes of gaining some insight into why they attacked your estate and what they want from you.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a language barrier between yourself and this (maybe mute) monster – its eyeless dome of a head reflects nothing but cold indifference towards your attempts at communication. Frustration sets in as none of your questions are met with even a grunt or gesture indicating understanding on their part...

But then an idea hits: writing! It may seem archaic compared to modern methods such as telepathy spells which could bypass traditional languages altogether by communicating directly through thoughts alone… But you have none of those at your disposal. Primitive problems call fro primitive solutions!

With pencil and paper ready at hand (you always keep them nearby while working on alchemical formulas), jot down two questions in Common, using the classic Elven Alphabet of the learned:

"Do you want to live?"
"If I keep you here for 24 hours, will you die?"

You hold the paper up to the sea-devil, hoping it will understand and respond in some way. It looks at you for a moment before slowly nodding its head once, indicating that it understands.
>>
>>5657373
Encouraged by this small success, you continue writing out your questions on more pieces of paper so that there's no mistaking what you're asking. As you finish each one, you hold them up one after another in front of the creature.

"What are you?"
"What do you want from me?"
"Can we coexist peacefully?"

You nod for Dawn to release some of her pressure upon the sea-devil. Only when you are sure that the strange, rubbery, horned-and-winged sea-beast will neither attack nor flee do you hand it the pencil and the paper.

The sea-devil takes the pencil and paper from you, looking at them curiously before starting to write a response. Its writing is crude but legible.

In answer to your first question - "Do you want to live?" - it writes: "Yes."

It skips your second question entirely, going right to the third: "What do you want from me?" - it hesitates for a moment before scribbling something down. You can't read what's written yet because it has turned the paper away from you as if trying to hide its words. You wonder why this creature seems so unwilling or cautious about sharing information...

For the third question – “Can we coexist peacefully?”- there is no immediate reply in text form... instead, after finishing up with his last thought (whatever that may mean), he hands back both pen and pad without any further explanation!

You take the paper from the sea-devil and read its response to your second question with growing concern: "You already know. This is our land. You invaders must leave."

It seems that these creatures see you as an invader on their territory, and they won't tolerate your presence. The sea-devil's message is clear - if you want to avoid further attacks, then you have no choice but to pack up and abandon this place. Is THIS the curse which you were warned about by that dwarf, the one who had helped facilitate transfer-of-ownership transactional paperwork? You'd assumed it was some mere haunting or hex - not a perpetual state of war with local aquatic or demonic races!

This realization fills you with anger towards both yourself for not doing proper research before buying into something so risky… But also at the damned dwarf himself for withholding such critical details! You knew he was a shyster...

What will you do with your captive?
>Make it comfortable in the basement, with some sea-water
>Set Dawn to questioning it with 'enhanced interrogation techniques'

Bastards didn't even do us curtsy of sending a declaration of war first. Very well seems we have our first POW.

>>
>>5657382
This >>5657421, propose an exchange. Surely we have things to offer that they'd want... Other than mimic-flesh.
Speaking of which, did they use mimic-flesh to sprout wings? The earlier ones didn't have them, and by the fact that they dwell underwater and do not even have eyes suggest that they're not natural fliers.
>>
>>5657387
>>5657421
>>5657591
You take a deep breath, trying to remain calm despite the growing sense of unease in your stomach. You can't just pack up and leave - this is your home now, and you've invested too much time and money into it to abandon it so easily.

Instead of giving up, you decide to try a different approach. Perhaps there's some way that you can coexist with these creatures peacefully? After all, they clearly have their own reasons for attacking your estate - maybe if you could understand those reasons better then there might be something that can be done.

You turn back towards the sea-devil who has been watching you closely since handing over the paper. With Dawn still standing guard beside him (or her?), he seems less hostile than before.

"Look," You say slowly as if speaking with someone hard-of-hearing or learning-disabled "I cannot simply leave here without losing everything I worked for... But at least we don’t need violence between us.”

The sea-devil watches as though unsure what to make of this statement but doesn't react negatively either which gives hope!

"Dawn, Assistant, bring this... Guest... Down to the basement! In the morning,w e will fetch you sea-water, to keep it - the Guest, I mean - pleasantly moist."

The creature looks at Dawn once more before accepting your writing implements and beginning its response: "We have lived here long before humans like yourself ever arrived on these shores. We emerged from below, from a portal to our own realm."

It pauses again after writing out another sentence:

"We are open to ways besides war by which both races may live together..."

Its message is clear enough; rather than being inherently malicious or aggressive towards humanity itself (as had previously seemed), they only want respect from outsiders encroaching upon their ancestral land! Maybe an agreement about shared territories could work if approached carefully?

Asking how exactly did it get wings was likely going off-topic somewhat but curiosity couldn’t wait! So you decide to ask the creature about its unique appendages, hoping that it won't take offense.

"May I inquire how did your kind come by wings? Is it related to Mimic-flesh?"
>>
>>5657679
The sea-devil seems surprised at this question and takes the paper back from you. It writes something down before handing the pad back over:

"We were born with them. A gift from our ancestors."

You were surprised at the news that these things which lived beneath the waves would have natural wings, even if these particular waters weren't their original home. You hadn't seen any last night... But then, it had been dark. Those that you had seen flitting about above the foaming sea, had they been leaping like fish, or flying low?

"Then what did you do with the Mimic-flesh which you stole?" you asked, now hopeful that you might recover some of it.

The sea-devil hesitates for a moment before writing something down and handing the pad back to you once more. Its response is short and to the point:

"We used it for our own purposes."

You sigh, realizing that you're unlikely to get any of your stolen Mimic-flesh back. You'll just have to start over again from scratch.

But then an idea strikes you - maybe there's a way that both sides can benefit here? If these creatures are looking for ways that they can coexist with humans, perhaps there's some kind of trade or exchange agreement that could be reached?

"Is there anything I could offer in exchange for the use of my land?" You ask tentatively.

The sea-devil seems intrigued by this question. It takes several moments before starting its reply:

"I am not a leader. I could ask?"

Or you could do so yourself, of course. You promise to think it over, and send your servants to escort the 'guest' down to the darkened basement of your tower.
>>
>>5657684
You slump down onto your bed, feeling exhausted from the events of the day. As you lie there, your stomach growls loudly once more. You realize that you need to find a way to feed yourself and your constructs - otherwise they'll begin losing their energy and becoming sluggish. They can feed on your own life energy, transplanted through sexual congress, but... well, that's not even an option right now. You're too drained both physically and emotionally after everything that happened today to fuck.

So what can you do? You rack your brain trying to come up with ideas until one finally hits:

"I have seeds!"

It wasn't much, but it was something! The Stonework Field Tillers had been preparing the fields surrounding the tower before they were destroyed by those shadowy vandals earlier in the evening, and that had been in preparation for the collecion of mundane plant seeds - maize, beans, wheat, melons, and more - which you had brought with you.

Getting up from bed despite groaning muscles reminding how demanding recent activities had been upon them; stumbling over disheveled clothing scattered throughout chamber which served as both bedroom & laboratory – ultimately leading directly into alchemical workshop below… all this took time-consuming effort – yet soon enough you found yourself at storeroom where sacks of various dried grains awaited use or consumption!

With these supplies gathered together again after so long neglecting basic survival needs beyond mere 'pleasures', heading back towards upper levels of estate-tower felt like climbing multiple mountains combined! By end of trip upstairs though weary arms thankfully deposited goods onto the central table. Sable and the Onahole Assistant looked down curiously at your collection, while the unnamed Tillers stood sentinel, conserving energy and awaiting instructions.

You will:

If we do teleport back to town at some point lets get some cheap ingredients and subsist on soups for a bit. Enough to keep our strength up but cheap and should keep for a little while.

So the SeaDevils just want mutual respect that's much good I was worried we were trodding on sacred ground and had provoked a holy war.

You pondered over the seeds on the table, wondering how to best utilize them. The idea of extracting mystical energies from the blue porcupine came to mind - perhaps that would quicken a growth spell and expedite their maturation? It was worth a try at least.

Taking some time in your alchemical workshop below, you extracted what essence you could from the porcupine's weary body into a teal elixir, which you meticulously dipped each and every seed into, one at a time, befroe laying them to dry upon a thin cloth. You focused intently as you cast [Quicken] combined with [Growth], imbuing each seed with an extra burst of energy that should speed up its growth process.

Satisfied for now, you ordered Sable and other Tillers to get started early in the morning while allowing yourself some rest after such a long day. Your Onahole Assistant guided you towards bed where she took care of undressing your fatigued body before tucking you under blankets; soothing touch almost lulling into slumber instantly!

The next morning dawned bright and early, and safely thanks to Dawn keeping vigilance throughout night... But you, you slept in for a change. Eventually, thouuh, the sounds and smells of something delicious aroused you to wakefulness. You rubbed bleary eyes awake at sound/smell combo emanating from kitchen area not too far away... or so it seemed until those smells reached your nostrils fully: breakfast had already been prepared by none other than The Onahole Assistant! She had taken liberty using vegetables harvested from your newly-planted crop – clearly a success.

After enjoying the hearty breakfast prepared by your Onahole Assistant, you decided to check on how the Tillers were doing with their work. You walked over to one of the tower's windows and peered out, gazing down at the small field surrounding your estate.

To your surprise, you saw that not only had all of the seeds sprouted already but they seemed to have grown much faster than expected! The crops looked healthy and strong. It was amazing what a little bit of magic could do. Satisfied with their progress so far, you turned away from the window.

Your thoughts then turned towards checking up on blue porcupine whom provided such valuable energy source for these fast-growing crops… Walking back into alchemical workshop below – where creature rested in its spartan cage. It appeared somewhat more lively today than immediately after its ordeal yesterday; still weak yet recovering slowly thanks in part to your due diligence given when extracting essence needed earlier. it is an invasive procedure, requiring blood and the connection of nodes to the nervous system, but you have steady hands and a good eye. If any man of lesser skill had done it, the animal would simply be dead.
>>
>>5658454

You made sure it had enough food and water before administering some healing salve around any wounds or bruises sustained during your extraction (as well as leaving behind a meal for it, as well). With luck this creature would be able to provide further energy sources as needed without being too weakened again anytime soon.

You watched as the blue porcupine ignored the vegetables you had left for it, and that's when concern started to set in. Was its captivity affecting it? Or worse, was it getting ill?

As you pondered over what to do next, a sudden realization hit you - this creature wasn't interested in ordinary food at all! It ate metal!

You remembered how it tried stealing your coins during exploration of the forest. This knowledge changed everything; now instead of trying to feed an herbivore-like creature with plants/fruits which obviously wouldn’t be very effective… Instead maybe finding some sort of metallic objects would sustain him/her better.

With renewed hope from knowing this animal could still provide energy sources necessary for quick planting/growing cycle using [Quicken] and [Growth], searched through estate-tower storeroom again – rifling through old chests containing trinkets / scraps accumulated throughout years spent adventuring before finally coming up with something useful: an old parade outfit, complete with copper/brass buttons along the chest and sleeves. You picked them off and offered them to the porcupine who, after a few sniffs, swallowed them up piggishly.

"Good," you breathed a sigh of relief.

Still, the blue porcupine is obviously unhappy here, trapped in a cage and fed scraps of metal. It DID try to steal from you, but it has repaid that debt already, some would say. Then again, it is just an animal... A useful animal.

You decided that you couldn't let the blue porcupine go, not with its potential as an energy source for your estate. However, it wasn't right to keep it in a cramped cage either. You resolved to improve its enclosure by constructing a comfier pen and hutch.

After several hours of hard work, you had constructed a spacious pen complete with plenty of space for the blue porcupine to move around and even burrow if it wanted to. The hutch was also lined with soft materials such as straw and cotton.

As you watched the creature explore its new home, something nagged at your mind - what about mental stimulation? It would be cruel to just leave this intelligent animal without anything interesting or challenging going on in their life...

With that thought in mind, you spent some time brainstorming ideas until finally coming up with one: creating puzzles made out of metal scraps! You set about making these little challenges which could be hidden away within hay bales or under rocks; hopefully giving Blue Porcupine more stimulating activities than merely eating the metallic objects!

Satisfied once again that all creatures living on estate were taken care of properly, now felt like good time take advantage opportunity presented earlier during exploration: traveling inland towards villages scattered throughout region seen earlier from your tower-windows...

You decided to take the Onahole Assistant with you on your journey inland. She was a useful companion and could assist in carrying any supplies or items that you came across during your travels.

You also brought along your bag of magic items, just in case you encountered any threats along the way. You made sure to pack your assortment of tools and pre-crafted magical items, though you wish you had some proper enchanted weapons should things turn violent. Who knows what might be occupying those villages now? But maybe that's pessimistic... best to bring your coin-purse, too.

As for Sable and Dawn, you left them behind - Sable would be able to guide the Tillers while Dawn continued her guard duty over the sea-devil 'guest' in the basement. You trusted both constructs implicitly; they were capable enough to handle things without direct supervision from yourself.
>>
>>5658749
With everything packed up, you set out towards one of the villages seen earlier from your tower: it wasn't too far away but still required several hours worth traveling through rocky plains. The village was small yet quaint-looking, with houses constructed mostly out of wood & mud-brick (some even had straw-thatched roofs). As expected given remote location: primitive.

As you approached the village, you noticed that its inhabitants were not humans but rather an amphibious race of shark-toothed, black-eyed creatures. They looked like a species of goblin to you: half your height and skittish around strangers, or at least around you.

At first, they avoided you until you called out to them. But then their demeanor changed - they became rude and accusatory towards you. They accused you of coming here to steal their land for "the bank."

You could tell that these goblins were squatters on foreclosed land (likely to the Private Bankers Guild, by their words), which your shady dwarf associate had been able to acquire and had passed onto you. Great - more undisclosed issues.

You tried reasoning with them, explaining that while this was once their land, it was no longer so... Nevertheless there was no changing minds or hearts among these angry goblin villagers who seemed hell-bent on defending what little patch of earth still remained theirs by right (or at least as far as their history went back, but for illiterate goblins, that could mean anything).

What will you do?
>Run these squatters off

>Ask them about the sea-devils
>Ask them about the blue porcupines
>Inquire about buying some food

You realize that you need to find a way to get food, or else you will have to resort to eating your last-resort options, which aren't very appetizing. You decide to try to make peace with the goblin villagers and see if you can buy some food from them.

"Food? For the humie scum what bought up all our land from the bank?!"

All the coastal goblins spit on the ground in unison at the word 'bank'. It is... Unpleasant.

You raise your hands defensively, hoping to calm them down. "Yes, I am the one who bought up this land from the bank. But please understand that I did not know it was being occupied by you goblins."

The goblin in front of you snarls and waves a sharp stick threateningly at you. "We don't care what you knew or didn't know! This is our home, and we won't let anyone take it away from us!"

You sigh inwardly but keep your cool on the outside.

"Listen," you say calmly, trying to appeal to their pragmatism as well as empathy if they have any left."I'm willing to purchase some food supplies if possible; perhaps grains or vegetables?"

You glance around their village - there is scant sign of agriculture, though you do notice they have some small ground-birds penned.

"Or... Poultry?"

The goblin ringleader looks at his fellows before turning back towards you with narrowed eyes.

"We might be able to help with that... For a price."

"Yes," you say blandly, "that is what 'purchase' normally implies."

"Don't get smart!" snaps a goblin from the back.

The goblin ringleader looks at you for a time with a calculating expression. "We will sell you some poultry, but it won't be cheap. We want five gold pieces for each bird."

You raise an eyebrow in surprise. That's an exorbitant price, even for a scalper in a distant and isolated land.

"That seems like quite the steep price," you say diplomatically, hoping to negotiate a better deal.

"We know what our birds are worth," retorts the goblin defiantly. "If you don't like it, then go somewhere else!"

You consider your options carefully; on one hand, paying that much is heinous, with no easy way to earn back such expenses without further investments or growth - and yet if these creatures remain hostile towards outsiders (especially ones who've kicked them out of their homes), being denied access entirely might prevent any future visitation attempts from succeeding either. This could prove important diplomatically...

And you're hungry, and there's nothing much else to buy around here.

Admitting to purchasing the land they live on probably wasn't the smartest thing we've ever done. Probably should have just said we were the new neighbour, it's not like they were going to ask to see the deed anyway.

>Accept
Buy three or four birds. Enough to tie us over a day or so.

And unless this leads us to something else i'd like to find someone a bit friendlier to talk to (if anyone like that exists around here)
>>
>>5658911

If we accept we set a precedent that we are pushovers. This is a first impression, set a standard. If they won't drop it to reasonable prices, then we can reject them.

>>
>>5658961
Agreed but right now we are in a position of inferiority. Soon we will have our own food supply and can batter as equals. I don't think that paying full price will by any good will but i do think it will avoid us pissing them off further.

Not changing my vote but if we >haggle maybe we can try to get eggs instead
>>
>>5658911
Let's not get defensive here, we have every right to remove them from the premises, whether they like it or not, and they know this.
While it may not be today, and it might not even be us doing the removing, sooner or later, someone will come, in force if necessary, to kick them off this land (and probably strip them of anything of worth, too).
1 poultry per month, and they won't be bothered for as long as we live here. If they think the price is too steep, they can renegotiate after a year. [bluff]Otherwise they can get removed the end of the month, or maybe the next. If something happens to us before then they'll be in even deeper shit with the authorities. [/bluff]
They don't know anything about us, but they do know that the bank is powerful. They won't know the extent to which we can exercise power over them or how deep we are with the bank.

Also, it appears that there are many villages, so if it's one poultry per month per village, it could easily be enough for us to have a surplus.
>>
>>5659046
Tyranny sounds like a bore though. I'd rather trade the produce Sable and the girls are able to raise and be left alone in our tower. In that world we'd have to manage a small kingdom and keep a loyal retinue (of goblins or constructs) and make sure that every young upstart doesn't try and roll them.

We can have it all without making enemies of every sentient being in our domain. + theres a non zero chance they kill us right here if we try and take anything from them.

You take a deep breath and decide to try haggling with the goblins... After a fashion.

"Five gold pieces per bird is an exorbitant price," you begin, "but I understand that food can be scarce in these parts. I will not ask too much of you. How about this: give me one poultry per month from each of your villages, and you may stay on MY land. You will not be bothered for as long as I live here. If you think the terms are too steep, we can renegotiate after a year."

The goblin ringleader looks at his fellows again before turning back towards you with narrowed eyes.

"One bird per month? For the privilege of living on our OWN land?" he asked skeptically. "Why shouldn't we just stick you with spears and TAKE your gold... And your little nymph there?"

The Onahole Assistant, floating lazily beside you, blinks in half-comprehension.

"Consider this: if something were to happen to me before then, what do you think would happen to all... This?"

You allow yourself to look around meaningfully at their village's buildings and defenses.

"Do you truly believe my friends at 'the bank' won't come calling after me? What do you think they will do to YOU all, who killed their client? You'll be lucky if they ONLY evict you."

There is a pause while they consider your offer. It is only a bluff, in the end, but these are also only GOBLINS.

Finally, the ringleader nods slowly. "Very well... One bird per month from each of our villages, and we're good for..." he spits on the ground again. "...rent."

You nod in agreement and extend your hand to shake on the deal. The goblin ringleader hesitates for a moment before taking it, his grip surprisingly firm.

"A pleasure doing business with you," you say firmly, hoping this will set a precedent that you are not someone to be trifled with. No a tyrant, no, just... A fair but fearsome landlord.

The goblins disappear into their village briefly before returning with one of their small ground-birds. It's scrappy looking but seems healthy enough as they hand it over to you. You inspect it quickly, satisfied with its quality. You had the struggling, squawking creature to the Assistant, who is of course quite adept at handling many sorts of cock(erel).

You decide to ask these coastal goblins about the sea-devils and the blue porcupines. After all, they might have some valuable information that could help you in your future adventures.

"What do you know about these sea-devils?" you ask, gesturing towards the coastline. "They attacked my estate not too long ago."

The goblin ringleader snorts in response. "Sea-devils, you say? Bah! They're interlopers, same as you! They come from hell and claim the weaves and coastline."

"Pests," another goblin notes, spitting, "but apart from preventing us from doing any fishing we leave them well enough alone, and they do likewise."

"But have they ever caused any trouble for your village?" you press.

"Not really," he shrugs. "We avoid going out at night, and they never enter a home uninvited."

You nod thoughtfully before turning towards another topic of interest.

"And what do you know about these blue porcupines? I caught one earlier today and it seems like they possess some sort of magical energy."

The goblin's eyes widen slightly at this question as he scratches his chin thoughtfully.

"Ah yes, those pesky critters," he mutters under his breath. "They're a troubling thing, too. They eat anything made of metal, see. It's what fuels them."

You can't help but notice that the entire coastal goblin settlement is devoid of any metal tools or structures. It seems as though they have gone out of their way to avoid anything that could attract these blue porcupines.

"You really don't use any metal at all?" you ask, gesturing towards their village.

The goblins exchange a look before the ringleader speaks up. "Those porcupines, they're attracted to it... And they're best avoided. Too tough to catch, too much hassle to eat if you catch one."

"Really?" you ask in surprise. "How do you manage without any metal?"

"We make do," he says with a shrug. "We use stone and wood instead."

You nod thoughtfully at this before turning your attention back to the strange, fat quail-looking bird which your Onaole Assistant is struggling to keep under her control.
>>
>>5660064
You bid the goblins farewell, thanking them for their information as you head back to your estate with the new acquisition of a monthly bird from each village. They hardly seem pleased with the arrangement, cursing in grumbles and spitting on the ground as you depart, but they respect and fear you enough to not engage in active hostility. perhaps you can win them over in time, if you even care to.

Once at home, you set Sable to start preparing dinner by cleaning and seasoning the bird before roasting it over an open flame. The aroma fills the air around you, making your mouth water in anticipation.

As dinner cooks, the mere anticipation of the hearty meal is enough to restore some of your lost vigor. You indulge in a quickie with the Onahole Assistant to satisfy your desires. It is as simple as seizing her by the waist, and unbuttoning your trousers. With an eager, whorish gasp, she fulfills her primary function.

Together, you and your burgeoning slave-harem indulge in a delectably-oily meal of strange goblin-fowl - well, all save dutiful Dawn in the basement, and the rudimentary Tillers who simply get vegetables.

Night is falling though. What to do...

You decide to release the sea-devil in the basement, but with a specific instruction.

"Quail? I think?" you offer a bit of your bird to Dawn and to your 'guest'.

Dawn digs right in greedily with a muffled "Thank you, Master!", but the sea-devil declines.

You tell it that you want to negotiate and ask if it can take you to their leader. The sea-devil seems hesitant, but eventually agrees.

As the sea-devil leads you to the Nightmare Sea's dark shore, it suddenly flies up high and then descends into the ocean in splashless silence, parting it only momentarily before the oily surface returns to normal. You wait for a while, but no emissary emerges fro the deep. They want you to come to them.

But, of course, you can't breath underwater. Why didn't you breathing a [Potion of Water-Breathing]?

You quickly consider your options. You could do one of a few things:

You make camp upon the dark, sandy shore and wait for the sea-devils to return with a proposal. As you sit by the shore, staring into the murky depths of Nightmare Sea, your mind wanders towards what could be waiting down there, preparing to rise and meet you.

Suddenly, a hand touches your shoulder and startles you from your thoughts. It's Dawn! Shes come down to join you where you await your subaquatic demonic neighbors.

"You came to stay with me?" you ask.

"Of course, Master. Protecting you from sea-devils is my entire reason for being!"

She is literally right, you guess. You watch her do exercises and aerobics upon the sand, and it makes passing the time less tiresome.

Just before dawn, as you and Dawn are finishing up a bit of canoodling in your hammock, the sea-devils return. Several of them emerge from the water's surface at once.

You search for your former prisoner among them but can't tell if it's there or not, as they all look more or less alike. They seem to have brought an emissary this time who speaks on behalf of their people, and with actual words! It has a uniquely articulated tongue and mouth. It only speaks Abyssal, but you are studied in that language.

The emissary is impressed by the tale of how you managed to capture one of their siblings without doing any fatal harm. He is also impressed by your use of Mimic-flesh in creating homunculi constructs that can serve a variety of purposes around your estate.

However, they make it clear that they see anyone trying to dwell beside or sail upon their seas as enemies and will tolerate no such presence unless given good reason otherwise - which means they need something valuable enough in exchange for tolerating you being here.

They propose taking one construct with them back into Nightmare Sea so that its abilities could be studied further, and to keep the Mimic-flesh they took from your captured Tillers. In return for allowing this experiment with one construct each year, they would allow you and all living things under protection above and next to the waves of the Nightmare Sea.

It is a grim proposal... or would be, but these ARE constructs. They are mere days old, not quite truly sentient. They exist at, and for, your pleasure. Do you value any of them enough to deny such a bargain?

You decide to make a construct from the remaining Mimic-flesh that appears normal and harmless. The sea-devils watch intently as you shape her into a somewhat-doughy, guileless-looking young woman with frog-like porous skin.

The sea-devils take her away for study and testing of the Mimic-flesh's abilities in their secret home-realm beneath the waves.

After returning home, you are curious about what your new construct was able to see while under captivity. You attend to further farming, finding your fields unmolested, and to receiving three more chickens from the other goblin villages in your new fiefdom.

When your infiltrator returns towards evening, you ask her what she saw during her time there.

She explains that the sea-devils were experimenting with using Mimic-flesh to create bespoke bodies for Demon Lords from their realm beneath Nightmare Sea - which is why they wanted more material and knowledge on how to make constructs like yours!

This information sends chills down your spine at first but then curiosity takes over.

You ponder your options. On one hand, this is precisely the sort of dangerous quest that old 'adventurer-you' would have handled for the good of the realm (and monetary reward). But on the other hand, you're retired now and just want to live in peace. Maybe... This isn't your problem? You need to procure more Mimic-flesh anyway to make a truly homunculus harem paradise here, so you can certainly pay the toll over time...

Absolutely but we'll have home field advantage and I want the locals to know we aren't an aged academic who bought a home in the countryside. We are a seasoned dungeoneer who doesn't flinch when insulted.
Either the raids on our tower will continue which means we will get to show how forceful we can be or we get our mimic flesh back for free which means we can expand our harem to the size it was always meant to be.

Thus empowered, you send her back to stealthily retrieve the remaining Mimic-flesh. She thanks you gratefully for the privilege, and sets out on her mission.

Upon her return, she reports that there was some loss of material. Some was already lost to the sea-devils' experiments, and there was a limit to what she could personally bring back from the Sea of Nightmares without aid, and while avoiding detection. All-in-all, it's still more than you expected to retrieve!

"Good work," you praise Barbara as shestands, dripping wet in her skintight black suit, and clucthing a sea-weathered chest full of precious Mimic-flesh.

In response to this success, Barbara demands a kiss from you as payment for services rendered - but then turns it into something much more passionate when things heat up between the two of you, of course.

Afterwards, Dawn (who patiently waits for you to finish before entering) asks what your plans are regarding the sea-devils now that they will soon discover their stolen goods have been retrieved by force?

"I'm not about to just roll over and let them take everything I've worked so hard for," you say.

If their dark master wants to take over the world or some other 'BBEG' nonsense, it will begin here, with your home. You can't just allow that, not even as a retiree.

But what to do about it?
>Attempt to enclose your fields as a 'home' that the devils can't breach

This is a good start. T

So (as far as we know) the Sea Devils traits are
-can live and breath underwater
-can fly
-fear daylight/bright light
-Don't cross thresholds (presumably unless invited)
-have at least human intelligence possibly greater

Am i missing or misunderstanding anything here?

We can either take matters into our own hands by forming a defense (we've been able to capture one, we can fight a few). Or call upon some magic friends of ours, alchemy has been useful and so has magic, even if we can't get them to deal with the deep sea creatures their aid is undoubtedly going to be useful for plenty of other things if we can get it. From what we know our old adventure party was a pain in the ass and the last thing I'd want to see in retirement is everyone from work.

You think they'll fall for something as silly as an Eruv?

I wouldn't trust the goblins; they have no reason to side with us over the flying sea cucumbers, who at least leave them well enough alone while we collect fowl from them. They might just get smart and think they can work out a deal with the flying sea cucumbers by helping kick us off this land. Until they have a solid reason to side with us, best to keep them out of it.
As for the old adventuring party; weren't there one or two stick-in-the-mud that may raise an eyebrow at our use of mimic-flesh and constructs?
Wizard and alchemist contacts... Without a clear and present danger they may have little reason to help us, and may in fact come after us if what we're doing is somewhat illegal.

How many more constructs can we make, anyway? Also, could any of them fly or use magic if we did?

>>5661640
I'm still going for awakening the porcupine, and perhaps making it able to fly.

Do those sea-things use metal at all? I just had a funny mental image of sneaking a porcupine into their version of a bank vault.

You decide to enclose your fields as a "home" that the sea-devils cannot breach and recall hearing about an ancient Gnomish tradition called an eruv. You do some research on it and find out that it's essentially a symbolic enclosure created by marking the boundaries of a community with poles, string or wire.

You set to work creating one for your homestead using wooden stakes and rope. It takes several hours of hard labor (by your constructs, of course) but you eventually manage to create a perimeter around your estate.

As you finish setting up the eruv, you realize that this may not be enough protection against powerful creatures like sea-devils. You reach out to some of your sorcerous and alchemical contacts who share similar less-than-legal proclivities as yours in order to request their assistance.

You contact Zephyr, an air genasi who is known for his expertise in creating anomalous weather. He agrees to create a powerful barrier called a 'storm wall' around your estate that will repel any sea-devils or other unwanted visitors from entering. In exchange, he requests a night of pleasure with your constructs, and the privilege to 'borrow' one whenever he so desires.

Your next contact is Astelle, a hedge-witch and librarian who has supplied you illegal ingredients in the past. She offers her assistance by providing more materials needed for alchemical experiments on one condition: You must send her the bodies (alive or dead) of any sea-devils captured during future encounters. She also tells you about a powerful demon she has bound under her control that could be useful against any potential threats like the sea-devils. However, this comes with its own price - you will have to make a contract with the demon, or let an agent of Astelle into your home.

You consider these deals carefully before ultimately deciding which ones would best serve your needs while minimizing risks associated with them both now and down the line...

If we go for Astelle, we may risk our diplomacy with sea devils.
if we accept Astelle's deal (and if the sea devils ask all of their ilk died during battle), and hand over a tiller whenever Zephyr wants to borrow one (It'd be very annoying if he breaks a construct that has an important function while he has it, but tillers are expendable provided we are given the flesh after). Then we are secure both defensively (Zephyr) and offensively (Alchemy tools via Ast)

I would like to note, If we accept Zephyr's deal, assuming the barrier is worth its salt: the sea devils cannot breach into our territory.
Then we do not even run into the problem of having to hand any to Astelle (what's there to capture if they can't even begin to engage).

Given the above
>Accept both
lend zep a tiller, lend Ast a sea devil (eventually(tm))
not sure about the demon tho. Came here to retire not make deals with the devil.

You decide to accept both Zephyr and Astelle's help, as they each bring unique skills that could prove useful in dealing with the sea-devils.

Zephyr is a boisterous young air genasi, his skin swirled with shades of blue and hair ever blowing in an invisible breeze. He exudes a carefree attitude but possesses great power over the elements. You can't deny that he's quite charming when he wants to be - which is often, especially around women! his pushiness often leads to his rejection in spite of his handsomeness and charisma, especially among women of any standing who know of his reputation.

Astelle on the other hand seems more reserved at first glance; short-statured woman who wears glasses and sports an oversized witch's cap atop her head. Her freckled face has red eyes that seem to pierce through anyone she talks to. She gives off the subtle, but unmistakable, vibe of a covert pervert, and a deviant of worse sorts than you or Zephyr.

Despite this, Astelle proves herself very knowledgeable about alchemy and magic combined with rare books available only at certain libraries most people wouldn't know how to find let alone have access too!

Astelle summons the demon, a towering creature with black scales and glowing red eyes. It introduces itself as Sargoth, offering its services in exchange for a welcome within your home, and the ownership of your soul should you ever break the contract between you two.

You're hesitant at first but Astelle assures you that it's worth it - Sargoth is one of the most powerful demons she has ever bound and could be an invaluable ally against any threats to your estate.

As for Zephyr's request, you reluctantly agree to let him 'test-drive on of your' girls (ie. fuck one of your constructs). You offer up Stonework Field Tiller number 2, but he instead points to Sable, who shies away from him and looks to you in evident confusion.

"That one is EXACTLY my type! I like when you have to coax them along and break them in a little," the genasi say with a grin.

Sable opened up quite readily to you on her first day of existence, but that is only natural - you own her, and made her to reciprocate your affection. Someone else, especially someone pushy like Zephyr, is a another mater entirely.

>Try to sell him on another construct
Don't like any specialized constructs being used. Sable is needed to get the damaged fields in order. He can use a tiller for now, if the air barrier does a neat job, and we don't have to worry about field damage, he can use better goods as a reward. He gets a trial run with a trial construct until then.

>No
What is a "welcome" in exchange for services. Demons tend to be particular towards details, if we are making a deal that requires our soul as collateral we ought to know more about the cost of rent in specific.
>>
>>5662877
>>5662739
>>5662705
>>5662694
You decide to only rent the demon for now, unwilling to commit your soul without further knowledge of what a "welcome" would entail. Sargoth agrees to this arrangement and pledges its services in exchange for some blood offerings and other materials it needs to do the job at hand. Luckily, chicken blood seems to suffice.

Astelle does mock you for your hesitance in committing to a contract with Sargoth, but she also compliments the work you've done on creating constructs so far. She laments only one thing:

"You know, it's not just women who want pleasure," Astelle says with a scoff. "You should really consider adding some males or futanari into your collection - it could open up new avenues of desire and fulfillment."

You diplomatically ignore Astelle's comments. You have no interest in exploring that avenue of pleasure at the moment, and you don't want to offend her by outright rejecting her suggestion.

Instead, you address Zephyr's request to 'borrow' Sable for his personal pleasure. You agree but only on the condition that you can be present during their encounter to ensure he is not too rough with her.

Zephyr eagerly agrees to this arrangement and leads Sable away while Astelle and Sargoth get to work preparing their dread rites. After a moment's hesitation, for you fear to leave Astelle alone with your other constructs, you follow.

As soon as you enter the room, Zephyr is immediately forward and sexually aggressive towards Sable. She has no mouth and does not speak, but her body language tells you that she is overwhelmed by his advances.

You quickly tell Zephyr off, reminding him of your agreement to take it slow with Sable. You gently intervene between them and begin to warm up Sable with touches, caresses, compliments - all while keeping an eye on Zephyr's behavior.

After a few minutes of this gentle approach from both yourself and Zephyr (who seems more willing to listen now), Sable begins to relax into their embrace. Her movements become more fluid as she responds positively to each touch or caress.

The three of you continue in this fashion for some time until finally she is ready.

"I call first round!" Zephyr demands.

You smirk a little at his naivety. He has underestimated your brilliance.

"I have to admit," Zephyr says after they've had some time to recover."I was skeptical about this whole construct thing at first... But I can see now why people enjoy them. It's almost as good as the real thing!"

"You damn me with faint praise," You quip back sarcastically before turning serious again: "Just remember our agreement- only borrow my constructs when I am there and give permission."

"Fine, fine," he agrees.

As the sun begins to set, Astelle rudely interrupts your post-coital conversation. "Night is coming," she declares bluntly.

Zephyr jumps into action and starts erecting the storm wall around your estate. The powerful gusts of wind he summons tosses waves of sand up in all directions, making it difficult for anyone outside to see what you're doing within its protective confines.

Meanwhile, Astelle and Sargoth stand at the ready with their own spells prepared just in case things turn violent - which they likely will if your eruv fails!

You and Dawn also prepare yourself for whatever comes next; you with your sharp mind and bag of tricks, she with some stretches in preparation for wrestling any who dare to enter her arm's length.

Finally, the creatures from Nightmare Sea arrive, furious to learn of your Mimic-flesh being reclaimed! They glide through air like ghosts beneath Zephyr's tempestuous winds until they are driven by the storm magic to make emergency landings upon the hard earth.

The eruv gives them pause: these evil beings respect certain boundaries marked out symbolically according ancient laws upheld across many different cultures, including the gnomes. They seem unsure how to approach.

You watch as the sea-devils begin to work upon a dark rite, chanting and gesturing in a sinister manner. You can feel the energy of their magic coursing through the air, threatening to blight your land and crops.

Sargoth steps forward, wielding its own powerful dark magic in response. The demon's eyes glow red with power as it unleashes spells that slam into the sea-devils like sledgehammers - crushing two of them outright with unseen force!

The rest flee back towards Nightmare Sea, taking with them corpses from those slain by Sargoth's might! Astelle demands you stop them and retrieve the bodies for her research - and to uphold your end of the deal. They are beyond the eruv, though

You watch as Dawn and Barbara head out beyond the eruv to retrieve the dead sea-devils. You have faith in Dawn's wrestling abilities, but you're not sure how Barbara will fare with her hidden Mimic features. She has some hidden surprises of her own, but she wasn't made for direct combat.

As they disappear from view, you reflect on your lack of training with weapons. You had always preferred alchemy and constructs over swords and shields; it was one of the reasons why you had planned to retire somewhere away from all this adventuring and combat shit.

But now that your atelier is under threat, maybe it's time for a change? Perhaps it's time for you to start learning how to defend yourself properly?

Or maybe you'll just make more constructs.

As the sea-devils turn around to fight your constructs, they quickly wish thy hadn't/ you watch as Dawn expertly fends off their attacks with her martial prowess. Her punches and kicks are precise, and she easily dodges their clumsy attempts to strike back. She grapples them two at a time and hurls them back into the gale-force winds to be whipped away.

Meanwhile, Barbara reveals that she has tendrils and teeth hidden within her abdomen - a feature of Mimics, retained in her for use in sabotage and assassination. She gobbles up the dead sea-devils one by one before heading back towards your estate's interior.

You follow behind her, giving her the signal to proceed, whereupon she dumps out all of the bodies in front of Astelle as per your agreement. Astelle eagerly begins examining them closely without any sign of disgust or revulsion at the sight or smell. You admire her dedication to magic and science, though the fishy odor puts you off.

With this threat dealt with for now, Zephyr relaxes the intensity of his storm wall around your estate while Sargoth snatches up one of your chickens to feast upon. Terrible squawks and cries of agony emerge from where the demon feasts.

Your Onahole Assistant turns the porcupine-powered spotlight onto the night sky, but no more sea-devils emerge from the dark to trouble you.

With the sea-devils defeated and Astelle examining their bodies, you decide to join her in her research. You're curious about what she's looking for and how it relates to your own work with constructs.

As you approach, Astelle looks up from the dead sea-devil on the table before her and greets you warmly.

"Ah! I'm glad that we can finally start our collaboration!" She exclaims. "I've been waiting for this moment."

You nod as she begins explaining her plans - a new elixir of transformation made using ichor harvested from these creatures' corpses. It will be used to create more powerful alchemical ingredients or even transform living beings into monstrosities like those found beneath Nightmare Sea!

"Why would you want that?" you ask.

You listen as Astelle explains her desire to become a demonic creature with latex-like black skin, and how this elixir could be the key to achieving that goal. She speaks with fervor, describing in detail how she envisions herself transformed into one of these powerful beings.

As you watch her examine the sea-devil's body with fascination, you realize that while your interests may overlap in some areas - such as alchemy and constructs - there are clear differences between the two of you when it comes to what drives your research. You're both deviants, but different kinds.

"I see," You say neutrally once she finishes speaking. "Well, I'm not interested in becoming a demon myself... But if this elixir can help me create more advanced constructs or alchemical creations, then I'm willing to assist."

Astelle nods eagerly at your words before returning her attention back towards the dead sea-devil on the table. The two of you work together late into the night examining its anatomy and extracting ichor from its corpse for use later. You end up sleeping in the basement, just like during your old study sessions at the academy.

As dawn approaches, Zephyr emerges from his post-nut slumber and joins both of you for breakfast along with Sable, (thank the magical sciences for those quickened seeds).

"Well I have work to do," Astelle says without further ado, the moment she is done eating.

"I should be hitting the old dusty trail as well," Zephyr says with a stretch.

They agree to respond if you call upon them (and can pay them) again in the future. Hopefully, you'll have no need to do so...

Anyways, I kind of get the feeling that inviting our old adventure party here will spell doom for our artificer's peaceful life, not because they'll destroy the place, but in they might use the area to crash from time to time and will see all his weird stuff and teach his constructs to be more like them. Realizing the danger that the sea-devils pose, you decide to focus on upgrading your defenses. You call upon Sable and Dawn to help you fortify your estate against any potential attacks.

As they work, you can't shake off the feeling of regret for betraying the trust of the sea-devils. Peace may have never been an option for all you know, but you WERE the one to break the deal, not them. You know they will never forgive it. Demons always seek revenge upon those who wrong them, no matter if they attacked your keep and stole your Mimic-flesh first.

As you watch your constructs work on the defenses, you realize that you need more than just physical barriers to protect yourself. You need an ally who can fight alongside you and help fend off any attackers. That's when it dawns upon you - the blue porcupine! It has been providing for your needs since its capture, and now it is time to awaken it into something greater.

You recall hearing about a ritual called [The Rite of the Forest Bride], devised by the loneliest of druids for use to anthropomorphize creatures like animals or plants. It involves invoking nature spirits through offerings of blood, meat, herbs, and other natural elements.

With this in mind, you set out into the woods with your Onahole Assistant by your side to gather all necessary components for performing the rite. After several hours of searching undergrowth for rare flowers known only among druids (and those who have studied their lewdest and most questionable rituals), you have what you need. You take the blue porcupine's cage under one arm, and a chicken sacrifice under another.

You make preparations within a secluded grove where no unwanted eyes will see what transpires between creature & creator; everything must go according plan if success shall be achieved! The first step is drawing up protective wards around yourselves before beginning casting incantations over various items used in the rite: skinning knife glimmers against light filtered through leaves overhead while carefully measured droplets fall onto soil below...the air itself seems thickened by magic woven together from knowledge gleaned across years adventuring…

Finally ready after many hours of careful preparation, you begin chanting ancient words passed down from ancestors long gone yet whose legacy lives still. It's far more mystic mumbo-jumbo than you usually like, being more scientifically-minded, but at least this process uses no more Mimic-flesh.
>>
>>5664741
As the ritual reaches its climax, a beam of light shines down upon the porcupine's body. It begins to glow and contort, before finally emerging from its new form - - a spunky blue hedgehog girl. Roughly the height of a goblin or halfling, her body is tight and athletic - every curve gracefully erodynamic. You can't help but admire her form as she stretches out lazily with an air of self-assured confidence. Her quills shimmer under the sunlight filtering through foliage overhead while markings like mascara lines around each eye give off sultry vibes that accentuate her rather miffed expression.

The porcupine girl looks down at her new form, then up at you with a judgmental gaze. "What did you do to me?" she asks in a voice that's part curious and part annoyed.

You take a step back, feeling suddenly self-conscious under her piercing stare. "I... performed [The Rite of the Forest Bride]," you explain hesitantly.

"Forest Bride? More like Forest Perv!" she snaps back, noticing the way your eyes are lingering on her curves. "And what's with this body? I'm pretty sure I was male before."

You feel a sense of embarrassment as you are forced to admit your limitations - all the anthropomorphization spells you learned were for creating sexy women, since it fit into your plan to create a harem.

The porcupine girl snorts in disgust but also acknowledges that given how long she's been trapped in her cage without much stimulation or interaction beyond being fed metal scraps by you Onahole Assistant , anything different will be an improvement.

Despite being put off by what seems like brazen objectification on your part ("ugh!"), she also knows they must obey her new master. So goes the rite.

What will you do next?

You quickly name the porcupine girl Sonia, explaining that it means 'wisdom'. She looks at you skeptically before crossing her arms and saying, "Well, I guess I have enough wisdom to know not to try and fuck an animal covered in spikes."

You feel a little embarrassed by her words but can't help but chuckle at her blunt honesty. You decide that she's going to be quite the handful.

As you make your way back towards your atelier with Sonia by your side, you explain what has been happening lately - the attacks from sea-devils and goblins who are squatting on your land. You also tell her about Astelle's research into demonic transformations using ichor harvested from these creatures' corpses.

Sonia listens intently as you speak, nodding along every now and then. When you finish speaking she turns towards you curiously.

"So... You expect me to have any input on this? I only gained self-awareness a couple hours ago," she says.

"No, I just needed a sounding board," you reply.

As you reach your atelier, you realize that creating more constructs and fortifying your defenses will require more Mimic-flesh. You know it's not going to be easy to obtain - the supply is limited and highly sought after by alchemists like yourself.

In addition, there are very strict restrictions on how much Mimic-flesh a person can buy, to prevent infestations. Mimics never fully die unless destroyed with elemental magic (which makes them ideal materials for your construct-sculpting), but that also means transporting their flesh can result in invasive populations.

You have a few options:

>Go on a dungeon-crawl, like the bad old days
>Contact the dwarven mafia and make a deal
>Try to synthesize a substitute from demon-ichor and other local materials
>Use the last of your Mimic-flesh to revive a Mimic for a captive breeding program

You realize that synthesizing a substitute for Mimic-flesh using demon-ichor and other local materials may be your best option. You begin to research the properties of the ichor, looking for ways to replicate the unique qualities of Mimic-flesh using the substance.

As you continue your research, it becomes clear to you that creating demon constructs using the ichor from sea-devils would be a dangerous and risky endeavor. While their flesh may have similar properties to Mimics, being semi-tangible spirit-stuff made into malleable flesh, their demonic nature adds an unpredictable element.

Demons are known for having free will and being able to act independently of those who summon them. This could potentially lead to a situation where the demon construct turns on its maker or develops its own dark agenda. You would need to bind a demonic construct with pacts and rituals.

"Rather than being a mindless fuck-puppet like your girl here?" Sonia asks bluntly, pointing to the fluttering Onahole Assistant.

Sonia's comment does get you thinking about the lurid possibilities of a demonic lover, though. You've heard many desperate young mages take to summoning succubi, and attest to the quality of such a love-slave... Though the 75% fatality rate accompanying those pleasures is also a well-known figure.

You realize that if you were going down this path, caution must be exercised at every step of the process - from acquiring enough ichor without being captured or killed by the demons, to finding a way to moderate their most rebellious instincts...

decide to ask Astelle for help with your research on demon constructs. She seems like the most knowledgeable person you know when it comes to dealing with demonic entities, and her interest in transforming herself into a demon makes her an ideal collaborator for what you have in mind: the transformation of one of your constructs.

After explaining your plans and sharing what you have learned so far about the properties of demon-ichor, she listens intently before offering some insight.

"I think I can help," she says thoughtfully. "I've been studying demonic possession techniques for years now, and I believe that we could use them to transmute demonic essence into a sufficiently 'empty' vessel."

She goes on to explain how binding rituals can be used not just for summoning demons but also controlling and shaping them - something which is particularly useful if they are being used to create an obedient ally.

"Then again, a more 'willful' subject will more easily fight off demonic tendencies with her own ego," Astelle notes, in contradiction to her earlier advice.

Over several days of experimentation using various recipes derived from ancient texts (and some home-brewed ideas), you work together with Astelle's aid over each step: combining ichor samples the deceased sea-devils along with other ingredients such as rare herbs gathered by Sonia during scouting missions outside Atelier Tower grounds... all mixed together under precise conditions until finally ready!

When finally completed successfully without any catastrophic accidents, this concoction imbues objects touched by said mixture with unique qualities reminiscent partly of Mimic-flesh but more importantly quite distinctively demonic – their essence would seep outwards upon contact or impact beyond physical boundaries! It was almost like ghostly ectoplasm...but dark & red instead!

With the success of your demonic ichor recipe, you are eager to test out its transformative powers. The most obvious candidate for testing is Barbara - after all, she has already shown herself to be a Mimic capable of transforming her body into whatever shape or form necessary.

Barbara is dispassionately curious when you explain the transformation process that you have in mind.

"You want me...to become something else?" she asks.

"Not just any 'something else', but an even more powerful and formidable weapon," you reply confidently. "If it works, we could use your newly acquired abilities to fight back against those who would seek my downfall."

"Okay, I understand," says Barbara with a curt nod.

The transformation ritual commences. With Astelle's guidance through a portal, you and your OnaholeAassistant begin drawing complex sigils on various parts of Barbara's malleable, naked flesh whilst Sonia carefully channels magical energies into the sigils. When the infiltration unit is sufficiently energized, her flesh shifting and becoming subtly translucent, you know she is ready to accept the graft.

As the demonic ichor enters Barbara's body, she begins to convulse and writhe on the ground in agony. You are momentarily worried that something has gone terribly wrong until her scream subsides into a series of guttural growls.

When you cautiously approach her, unsure what form she will take, you're startled by a sudden burst of light emanating from where the sigil marked upon his chest was etched! The light fades and now before your eyes stands someone completely unrecognizable:

Barbara is now clad entirely in black leather or latex accoutrements- high-heeled boots which snarl at their tips to form hoof-like suction cups, Tentacle-tressed extensions sprouting decorously from her extremities. What seems like demon horns protrude above her brow whilst below it there’s nothing but empty shadow - an eyeless cowl of shiny leather blackness.
>>
>>5667789
The biggest differences are perhaps to be found with regards to how Barbara speaks - no longer does he/she communicate quietly and perfunctorily. Her voice has dropped several octaves lower than its prior pitch - sultry rasp purring out seductively as recompense for once-demure communications.

“Mmmphf…” the demon-construct grumbles indulgently; enjoying this new-found capacity for vocal rhetoric: “I feel funny… warm... powerful.”

Barbara takes deep breaths as if drinking down air without even realizing it: "How could I not have wanted this transformation before? It feels amazing!"

You can see wickedness flicker across their mouth towards corners curled eagerly with delight -dim morning lighting seeming more sinister somehow when directed squarely onto those fangs poised tightly behind glossy lips pursing pronouncedly..

"And yet.. So much energy pumping madly inside me..." murmurs Barbara. "What to do with it all..."

You realise this is likely a side-effect of the demonic ichor; it's boosting Barbara's innate powers in ways you have yet to explore. That, and it seems like whatever burgeoning personality traits she had before were amplified and magnified within her new form, made more real... for better or worse.

Watching her admiringly, you find yourself feeling both elated at your success but also a little unnerved by how she's changed so dramatically right before your eyes.

What do you do with her?

As you watch and listen to the seductive demon-construct that Barbara has become, a sense of unease grows within you. You realize that this transformation could have unintended consequences if not carefully monitored and controlled.

You know what must be done next: focus on drafting a solid demonic contract binding her to your will. This is something you learned long ago in your adventuring days - always complete paperwork before making any deals with demons.

Astelle assists with the legal aspect as someone well-versed in magical law, providing guidance on how best to structure the agreement for everyone's benefit (including hers, since you're essentially doing her preliminary research for her, at your own expense). The goal is simple - ensure Barbara will take orders from no one else except for you; ensure that if she develops ideas and intellect of her own she can't undo the deal with a technicality; and future-proof it for oddly-specific edge-cases which might develop.

You spend some time drafting the contract. It covers all possible angles and contingencies while maintaining a balance between both parties' interests (your kind of balance, where it favours exclusively you). You take pride in your work as this is one of the most important documents you have ever created.

Once completed to your satisfaction, it's time for Barbara to sign on the dotted line, with Sonia serving witness alongside her, and the two standing before your alchemist table as if a judge's bench.

Barbara looks over the fine print of the agreement carefully, eyelessly scanning every word.

"But I don't actually have to sign this, do I?" she asks.

You look at Barbara with a mixture of amusement and frustration. "Of course you do," you say, holding up the contract for emphasis. "How else will I know that we have an agreement?"

"I guess it just seems binding is all," she says thoughtfully as if mulling over whether to sign her life away.

"Isn't that kind of...the point?" Sonia pipes in, clearly impatient with all this boring technical-work.

"Yes - exactly!" You exclaim excitedly. "Now hurry up already so we can get to work."

Barbara regards the paper for a while, then points out - correctly - how one-sided it is.

"What do I get out of it?"

Oh dear.

"You will be given a place of privilege in my household," you say to Barbara, trying to placate her concerns. "You will have a purpose and meaning here that no ordinary construct could ever experience. You'll learn new things about yourself... And about the world."

Barbara raises an eyebrow at your words but seems intrigued by the possibility of learning more.

"And most importantly, know that you are loved and valued; and taken care of by me - Your creator." You add those last few words with emphasis upon your position. She existed because of you and you alone.

The demon-construct's expression softens somewhat as she digests your response. She nods slowly before picking up a pen from beside her on the table, signing off on the contract without further gesture or hesitation once thus reassured.

With that completed ordeal aside now (barring any unfortunate mishaps), it's time to work towards what comes next" fortifying the atelier, and defending it come nightfall!

No sea-devil attack comes, though. As the night wears on, you begin to feel uneasy about the lack of activity from your enemies. It's almost as if they're biding their time and waiting for an opportune moment to strike.

You spend most of the evening fortifying your atelier against any potential attacks - creating defensive mechanisms around its perimeter with the help of Sable and the Tillers, mostly. Your homunculus harem is hard at work too - Sonia 'mans' the spotlight she formerly occupied in rodent form, whilst Dawn takes up a position near Barbara, who is still somewhat apprehensive after her transformation earlier that day.

You decide to take Barbara on a journey to investigate the shore and its surrounding waters. As you make your way there, you notice that something seems off about the usually tumultuous coastline.

The Sea of Nightmares is never bustling, but there are usually at least a few seabirds flying overhead and splashing fish in the water. Today, an eerie silence fills the air, and the water hardly moves. As you approach closer to the shoreline, dead fish littered across the sand hints at something being amiss with these waters.

The stillness of the sea is unsettling as if it were holding its breath for something ominous lurking just beneath its surface. You send out Barbara to see if they can locate any clues or discern what's happening below.

Barbara emerges from the water, dripping with briny sludge. Her tone is casual and unbothered as she reports on what she's discovered, though you still find yourself gripped by foreboding.

"There is something deliberate happening in these waters," she whispers. "The currents have shifted strangely, and there is an aura of darkness surrounding the deep."

As Barbara explains what she's found, your mind races to understand how these seemingly minor changes in ocean currents could have significant and potentially catastrophic implications for your estate and the nearby goblin villages.

You know that oceanic currents play a crucial role in shaping marine ecosystems. Changes in the flow of water can significantly impact marine life as various organisms are adapted to specific current patterns, nutrient flows, and temperature gradients. Suddenly shifted currents could mean sudden drops or increases in vital resources such as food or oxygen - leading to die-offs of certain species and shifts within entire ecosystems.

Furthermore, on top of natural environmental factors affecting these changes, any magical energy introduced into the waters flowing past your atelier tower could exacerbate existing ecological damage: intense elemental magic from angry sea-devils might wipe out entire species; magically altered aquatic foliage absorbing harmful substances may release powerful toxins when disturbed by new turbulent tides.

Though you aren't an expert on aquatic chemistry specifically yourself -having studied only general alchemical principles- it does occur to you that if currents halted altogether or changed direction to avoid your atelier, it could rob your researches (and the local plants, animals, and goblins) of life-energy altogether.

The question is what to do about it.

You recall your old adventuring party, wondering if they could help with the growing threat to your homunculus harem and ecosystems. As much as you loathe the idea of working with them, you have to admit that you were always effective as a team.

After much consideration, you reluctantly decide to call in your old adventuring party for help dealing with the strange happenings at the shore and its surrounding ecosystems. You reach for a scrying stone to contact them but hesitate, considering their judgmental nature.

"Are you seriously calling US?!" Gertrude exclaims incredulously from the other end of the line as soon as they pick up on your call. "The whole reason we split up was because we couldn't stand one another!"

Sam chimes in next, her voice dark and vengeful. "I'll do it if Kaede kills herself first," she says venomously of their former teammate.

"What?! That's ridiculous! What did I ever do to you, anyway?" Kaede responds indignantly over the communication channel.

"Nothing," Sam replies. "you never do anything for anyone, which is the problem."

You shake your head at the familiar bickering that often plagued your party during past quests - even when there wasn't any real danger or high-stakes involved yet! Still, despite their caustic personalities and fraught history together (not helped by some truly impossible feats required of you all being amateur adventurers), you feel grateful that they are still willing to hear out an appeal from an old ally, even if they are a flock of insufferable harpies.

You take a deep breath before addressing them: "I know things between us didn't always end well...but this is urgent. Something is happening off-shore that threatens not just my homunculus harem but also local ecosystems."

Gertrude interrupts impatiently: "And why should WE care about YOUR personal problems?"

"Because these disturbances pose significant ecological risks," you respond firmly. "If left unchecked it could lead to catastrophic changes affecting everything living within miles."

Sam scoffs audibly: “This wouldn’t be just ‘natural’ occurrences now would it? What arcane rules have YOU broken lately?”

“None!” You reply firmly, feeling your own temper rising. “The strangeness of these events is precisely why I wanted to reach out for help.”

Gertrude, ever the pragmatist, asks for more details: "What kind of threats are we talking about here?"

You explain what Barbara had reported and convey related ecological concerns.

After processing all the information you've shared with them, Kaede speaks up: "Well yeah...if there's any way that this situation could be dangerous to innocent lives then it would be our responsibility as adventurers - no matter how much we don't want to deal with your panty-sniffing pervert ass."

You thank them, despite the round of laughter and mockery which follows, all at your expense. Philistines!

of course, if they're on their way, that means you need to do something about the 'contents' of your atelier.

You quickly begin to work to disguise your constructs as regular golems and servants, hoping that the adventuring party won't catch on. You dress the Stonework Field Tillers in simple tunics and put bonnets on their heads, while Barbara is hastily attired in some of your old clothes and her ample assets bound to fit them, so she can pass as a hired guard. Barbara is hidden away in a small room, and the Onahole Assistant instructed to remain in orb-form and refrain from any erotic behavior. However, you realize there's no hiding Sonia - she would stand out no matter what.

When your guests arrive at your estate tower where you've been holed up for so long studying alchemy texts with only homunculi slave girlfriends (and some porcupines and demons) for companionship, they look around suspiciously before directing scornful glances towards you.

"Still living like a creepy hermit I see," Gertrude comments icily as she walks past some of your disguised constructs.

Kaede seems slightly more sympathetic but still keeps her distance from the pseudo-golems. Sam just sneers silently with arms crossed over her flat chest while scanning everything warily; it may or may not have something to do with how - if memory serves correctly- her [Sneak Attack] is traditionally useless against constructs.

"Won't you sit down?" You gesture toward the table, which Sonia is setting with refreshments and food.

As unenthusiastic-yet-cooperative as ever, Sonia rolls her eyes lazily but makes an attempt at polite conversation filled mostly with clever barbs (mostly directed at you) which make your old 'friends' bust out laughing. You're able to bear them, muttering under your breath: "you'd think I was the one imposing on their hospitality, and not the other way around."

As you all sit down to eat and drink, the adventurers begin asking about Sonia. "So who and what is she?" Gertrude asks, pointing at her with a fork.

Sonia takes another bite of food before responding casually: "Oh, me? I'm just a local girl from deep in the island's jungles."

The three women exchange glances before Sam turns to Dawn. "Is that true?"

Dawn nods eagerly. "Yes! She helped us deal with some problems we were having with sea-devils near our Mast- - I mean, employer's tower."

Gertrude raises an eyebrow skeptically but drops the subject for now.

As much as you hate their guts, you can't help but ogle old party members while you ogle their different features out loud as if it was still appropriate under these circumstances.

Kaede's fat ass and thick thighs are so pronounced that one wonders how she maneuvers during battles--if only they weren't always hiding and napping on duty; Gertrude’s massive breasts make her plate armor strain (and probably cause back pain or trouble when walking longer distances despite her divine agility); Sam might be frustrating company, but there's no denying how attractive those tight abs must look when she moves silently through enemy camps like something off of a tawdry spy thriller...

Discreetly checking out each woman while they discuss the upcoming battle amidst bites of roasted veg cooked by smokeless electricity (thanks Sonia), you realize that even though sparks fly whenever they are together like oil on water mixed up furiously...they've got solid teamwork skills honed over long periods working together...maybe this won't turn into as much of a circus show after all?

Besides, if things go wrong… Well, better it blow back on them than you or your constructs!

Together, the four of you settle upon a plan:

Your group decides to divide its efforts: you and Gertrude will utilize your alchemy and holy magic to cleanse the water, while Kaede and Sam play defense against any potential retaliations from the sea-devils.

Dawn volunteers to stay by your side while Barbara focuses on scouting duties. The Onahole Assistant floats nearby in orb form, observing everything with curious yet seemingly blank eyes.

As you reach the shore, Gertrude scowls darkly at the dead fish littered across the sand. You instruct Barbara to keep a watchful eye out for any threats as you and Gertrude begin casting purification spells into the water with Gertrude's help. At first, it doesn't seem like much is happening - but then suddenly small swirls of milky, bubbling murk begin to congeal, and start being pulled toward their centers before evaporating away entirely. The familiar inky blue-balck of the Sea of Nightmares begins to return!

"What's wrong with the water?" Kaede asks.

"EVERYTHING, obviously. How do you think it got its name?" Sam snaps. "Idiot."

"Well, let's fix that," says Gertrude.
>>
>>5671641
Gertrude focuses her Holy Energy on the naturally occurring Negative Energy taint and unexpectedly succeeds in purifying it! The once-black water turns into pristine blue - but this seems to have triggered a reaction from the Sea-devils.

Several sea-devils emerge from beneath the waves, sharp-toothed mouths open in anger and growling with rage as they attack your group of adventurers. Dawn quickly steps forward to defend you while your Onahole Assistant deftly dodges around their attacks.

Barbara observes intently, snatching up one of the sea-devils when it gets too close for comfort - thankfully holding back on devouring it due to your warning glance. The last thing you need is your construct giving away her true nature thanks to her hidden Mimic0mouth! She's clearly still tempted by its strange fishy aroma even still, or perhaps the chance to absorb more ichor and become more like her new self...

Sam, Gertrude, and Kaede are more than ready to take on these mysterious assailants - each using their own unique style of combat against them: Sam leaping high into the air for an aerial strike; Gertrude utilizing holy spells that cause severe damage against evil creatures; Kaede uses her agility skills like a trained martial artist flipping over them before unloading precise sandal-kicks and katana-strikes to penetrate deep within some exposed vital parts!

As battle rages on between both sides fiercely exchanging blows (and blasts) with no clear winner yet determined, you have to decide whether to risk yourself (or a construct) by joining in...

Did we bring Sonia and her spotlight. If we are defending the beach in the future it'd be worth putting a raised platform down to give her maximum effect.

While we are here anons could someone explain why we seem to be falling off the board?(currently page 9)

Taking a quick look at the battlefield, you realize that you and your constructs are needed in the fight. You quickly delegate orders to Dawn, and also to your secret weapon: Sonia. You order them to join in on your behalf while motioning for Barbara and Onahole Assistant to stay back from direct combat. Besides, you are a squishy creature, delicate and refined, and you need Barbara's protection.

Sonia eagerly steps forward with her spunky attitude high.

"Finally!" she says with a grin, tired of playing good girl and eager to explode onto the scene like a bolt of divine lightning.

Meanwhile, Dawn shows off incredible strength and agility, almost putting even Gertrude to shame. Together they take down group after group of sea-devils with deadly efficiency - leaving even your old companions impressed by how competent they both are.

As the battle rages on around you all it seems like this could truly be anyones' game for a while. Many of your allies, human or homunculus, suffer injuries. Eventually though, all of the sea-devils have been killed or sent running back into the depths - at least for now! But as much as this victory is satisfying it's also dampened by knowledge that more lurk beneath its waves...

Looking over at your Adventuring party now buzzing with adrenaline rush from battle (and craving punishment for the foe), you can't help but think about what else lies beneath - what other threats might await just out of sight? For now though everyone's feeling pretty good about themselves.

"What are we waiting for?" Sam shouts. "Let's make them pay!"

"Yeah!" cheers Sonia in agreement, hopping up onto the ninja's back.

Dawn frowns, hurrying to Kaede's side to check on her injuries, and gently dab them with a handkerchief take from her pocket. Kaede melts into the motherly affection, giggling dumbly, while Gertrude scoffs and rolls her eyes.

"Come on," she orders you, and the two of you finish your work, purging the waters of demonic taint, until your alchemcial concoctions and her prayerful magic has reached its limits. Further out, and deeper down, a darkness yet remains.

Despite the success of your battle, a sense of unease looms over you as everyone gathers themselves to depart. You can't shake the feeling that there's more lurking beneath the depths - and whatever it may be is still a threat.

With much reluctance, you agree to Kaede's demand for reimbursement in exchange for several [Potions of Water-Breathing], which should allow all members of your party safe passage into deeper waters. Though she asks dominantly insistently at first for your gold, she also intimates that she might accept ALTERNATIVE forms of payment, though she does not elaborate on what those means might be. Her face falls when Gertrude makes an inappropriate joke about how someone like YOU would ideally pay; yet Sam just chuckles mockingly.

Before setting off on this perilous dive, you assign the constructs who you must leave behind (there are only so many potions available) with instructions on how to defend the atelier. Barbara, at least, is amphibious thanks to your injection of ichor earlier, so she and your old adventuring party dive down into the depths of the Sea of Nightmares...

As soon as everyone is submerged, you take point descending horizontally into the dark abyss below. Soon enough familiar surroundings give way deep blue-black water houses strange creatures immune towards adverse effects sea acidification: ctenophores leaving unique light trails as they swim delicately beside dead and depleted shoals of alien-looking fish, quicksilver eels snacking on unfortunate squid-like creatures with massive, domed heads alight with bioluminescence, and strange seas-slugs the size of sheep, slowly wobbling their way through the dead and dying kelp forests. Every organism seems to be struggling. The sea-devils' retribution really did a number on this place...

As the group dives ever deeper into the Sea of Nightmares, your companions make occasional comments as strange and deadly creatures swim past them. Gertrude is silent yet watchful, scanning their surroundings with a critical eye; Kaede is giddy with excitement at the prospect of the treasure she is sure surely awaits you all; Sam can't resist muttering sarcastic comments about how ill-prepared your party truly is.
>>
>>5672989
But even they are silenced when you finally reach your destination - a massive citadel half-emerged from a swirling vortex-portal to what seems like another dimension altogether... The underworld, you guess. It glows faintly in hues of dark purple under swirling mist-filled waters which sting nostrils and eyes even through your potion's filtering effects. The smell that hits you is truly otherworldly in its awfulness - there's something rotten and corpse-like mixed in with an acrid, metallic tang for an overall effect that makes everyone's stomach churn involuntarily.

As much as you don't want to admit it among these fickle fiends who once called themselves "allies", you have never seen anything quite like this before. You all seem equally awed or unnerved by its sheer scale and threatening atmosphere

"What should we do?" Barbara asks softly.

"I... I'm not sure." Your voice comes out as barely more than a whisper as you take in every detail before gingerly paddling closer. "We need to be careful," you add after another moment.

"Ya think?!" Sam snarks back irritably. “What’s our move here?”

You quickly decide that the best course of action is to send Sam and Barbara ahead to scout out the citadel while Gertrude helps you analyze what little information you have on the underworld.

But as soon as they are gone, a sense of unease falls upon your group. You begin reflecting - there's not much any of them really know about this place. The sea-devils that attacked earlier could be from here, or something even more dangerous lurking down below than those feral fiends. When one deals with creatures from other planes one must always be prepared for nasty surprises...

"Gertrude..." you state gravely after some pondering in silence."We don't exactly know what we're dealing with when it comes to....this." You gesture expansively towards the portal in front of you both.

Gertrude nods thoughtfully after taking another glance around at their surroundings before responding: "Yes, I agree...I am familiar with demons and their kind; but no experience or knowledge acquired during my training speaks directly regarding inter-dimensional breaches like this."

"But surely there must be something else besides just FAITH which might help us here?"

"Well, there may be," Gertrude says stiffly. "I do know some spells that can help ward against evil - but I'm not sure how effective they'll be in the face of something like this."

You nod thoughtfully, mulling over her words. It's clear that you need to exercise caution here.

"It doesn't hurt to try." You say after a moment. "But let's make sure we're well-prepared before going any further."

You are better versed in the supernatural sciences than in matters of religion, so your preparations are centered around that. You start by mixing together a series of alchemical compounds which you know from studying the sea-devil corpses will be deleterious to their rubbery outer flesh. Gertrude follows up by casting holy spells to bolster your protections against their own attacks, and to turn your acid-flasks into potent holy hand-grenades. Kaede's sword is also sanctified in this way.

Eventually, Sam returns with news - Barbara has been captured!
>>
>>5673817
"What happened?" You demand as soon as Sam has caught her breath

"We were ambushed," Sam says, her voice grave with concern. "But they seemed especially focused on Barbara. I tried to free her, but they were even willing to shield her with their accursed bodies and at the cost of their lives, to spirit her away."

"Spirit her away to... Where?" Kaeade asks.

"Deeper," Sam says grimly.

You feel your heart sink at the news. If the sea-devils have captured Barbara for some terrible, it means that whatever is happening in this citadel - and beyond it- could be even worse than you had imagined. They wanted your research into Mimic-flesh to raise their terrible master, and now they have a sample of Mimic-flesh mixed with their own ichor as a blueprint...

"Gertrude... Sam, Kaede..." you say urgently to your allies. "We have to rescue her."

"But how?" Gertrude questions. "We don't even know what's down there or what kind of defenses we'll be facing!"

As you prepare to storm deeper into the citadel, your mind races with ideas of how to get past its defenses. You glance around at the others - Gertrude focused on reciting prayers under her breath, Kaede stretching and warming up in preparation for a fight...but it's Sam who catches your eye.

"Sam," you say. "I have an idea."

She narrows her eyes suspiciously but listens as you explain your theory: you could use the oceanic phytoplankton species from the area. If they work as well on demonic sea-creatures as on land-dwellers, then perhaps you can make your way through undetected?

"This is risky," Sam says warily after a moment's thought.

"I know," you nod gravely while pulling out several small packets of sparkling [Sleep Spore] green dust made from crushed 'mimiscogon' spore-pods, and begin readying them for dispersal. Sam meanwhile uses her keen senses to track the flow of oceanic currents. When you're ready, she places the dissolving pouches of the new mixture like charges,a nd lets buoyancy and ocean tides distribute the contents efficiently for maximum coverage once released.

If everything goes right, everyone inside will be knocked out cold before there's even time enough react!

Making use of these tools seems like the best option at hand so far when suddenly another thought comes into mind: what if some of your opponents are too many or too resilient (or unfortunately immune) against these sleeping agents? There might not be much chance otherwise against such powerful evil forces down below...

That’s where your [Giantblood] comes in handy!
>>
>>5674476
You unscrew the cap gingerly as it hisses with air release, before downing its rich contents with hunger.

Pain jars through every inch of your body for an moment as rapid growth overcomes you. Your height rockets up like bamboo sprouting after rain in Springtime forest! Skin stretches painfully tight against muscular development, until you feel as if you could crush rock or trees beneath your soles without much effort at all; of course, this shreds your clothing as well, and you're forced to hand off your pouch to Kaede.

Your three former companions stare at you with an indiscernible, almost HUNGRY look into their eyes. Gertrude flushes red, and Sam grimaces and turns away, crossing her arms hastily over her chest. Kaede simply begins to giggle.

"Is it always... PROPORTIONATELY that big, or is it the potion?" she asks, and Gertrude smacks the back of her head.

"It's time to teach these sea-devils that nobody plays with my toys without my permission," you say, forgetting yourself for the moment.

"What?" Gertrude asks.

"Wait, your 'toys'?"" Sam asks, suspicious anew.

"Nevermind!" you bellow. "Let's go, girls!"

With newfound strength coursing through, and dive deep toward the citadel and easily crash the gates. It's time for some payback! The girls follow after you, more cautiously.

With your giant size and newfound strength, you and your companions easily bash your way through the remaining defenders of the citadel as you make your way deeper into the underworld. The sleep spore dust works exceptionally well - most of the enemies are snoring their heads off in slumber anyway.

As you continue forth, however, things become stranger and more disturbing by degrees. Strange symbols etched on walls glow eerily with a dark eldritch energy that prickles at your skin. Two sea-devils of greater size and with elaborate horned crests and bodies like masses of tentacles present a magical defense, which would likely have bested you had not Kaede been so swift with her blade, or Gertrude less stalwart in her defense; even Sam draws fire. You briefly remember why you spent so long working together.

"Stop thinking with your dick and DO something, asshole!" Sam shouts, and you find the sentiment is shot-lived. Using your giant strength and wrestle one of your alchemical concoctions into a sea-devil's hidden, beak-like mouth, ending it.

But then there's Barbara...
>>
>>5674627
You find her in what seems to be some sort of throne room loomed over by an enormous octopoid-headed entity with great, bat-like wings: the Demon Prince Avarian. Normally it would horrify any sane being just to look upon such an entity, but some part of you senses that the terrible eternal half-life which animated the fiend is gone now, dripping out along with his black blood from a gash across his throat.

The black blood drips down onto Barbara, restrained by shackles and manacles to an organic-looking throne of horns and shells. The drippings of Avarian's corpse fall upon her head, running down her curved horns like melted wax and tinting her red hair black in streaks. Her skin blackens and rises into scales and fins lining down her back, then melds into her so that the line between afflicted and unafflicted skin is made fluid. Black spikes and alien protrusions bite deeply into succulent flesh, and swallow up her last vestiges of clothing.

The construct stares at you without eyes, lacking the beautiful green ones which once were set in Barbara's now-twisted face. Her voice is malevolent and otherworldly as they introduce themselves: "We are Barbaravarian! King and Queen of the Black Sea."

You are stunned into silence for a moment, trying to process this impossible development; while Gertrude begins chanting holy verses under her breath again. Sam takes it in a different way:

"Wasn't Barbara your girl or something? Ha! You got cucked by Avarian, dude!" she teases you mercilessly.

You dismiss her snarky comment - there are many strange things about this place that none of them could have foreseen- before addressing Barbaravarian directly:

"What do you want?" You ask harshly as your former harem-slave levitates herself carefully above ground to keep an overview on events unfolding below

"To make your dreams come true," replies Barbaravarian with a cold smile playing across her transformed lips.
>>
>>5674628
Barbaravarian tilts their head back slightly and peels away half of her 'mask' of black skin so that they can see through what were once dreamy doe-eyes but now possess eerie eyes unlike any terrestrial vertebrate; looking upwards toward them feels disorienting just like staring too long into the abyss would be... They said "Avarian has noticed how much control means to YOU."

Gertrude stops mumbling prayers momentarily out of shock, then continues all the same.

"What do you mean?" you ask warily.

"Avarian is Demon Prince of Obsession and Envy, little one. He sees how you look upon things you cannot have... Especially women, women you could never have and keep. He senses the bitterness and possessiveness you have felt for these three for years..."

Barbaravarian points to the three members of your old adventuring party.

"Avarian could give them to you... Round out the roster of your harem, make them slaves to you. Respectful as they should have been..."

As Barbaravarian speaks, you think back to all those times when Gertrude, Kaede and Sam had belittled or even ridiculed you for your feelings towards them. You remember the many close calls you've had with each of them over the years, yet nothing ever came of it.

You'd always admired Gertrude's ample breasts and curves in secret; she was a goddess in your eyes- but showed no interest in anything beyond professional respect. Sam's smooth skin and cut abs were just so tantalizing that sometimes it felt like torture being around her - but then again she constantly made fun of everything from your potions to your hair... And sweet Kaede was perennially sporting a marshmallowy bottom begging for squeezing- but made sure that everyone knew how repulsive they found any admirers who stepped out outside their set list of courtiers, even as she seemed to deliberately tease you...

But now here was this promise: Avarian could give them to you as subservient slaves...

Despite what should be suspicion at any demon's deal, there is still some appeal; the thought excites an part deep inside – not one based on love or affection per se; rather on conquest and ownership.

You feel anger boil in your chest at the suggestion of making Gertrude, Kaede, and Sam into subservient slaves. They deserve respect and autonomy - not to be treated like objects. And anyway, you can just make constructs BASED on them, and fuck those - much less problematic.

"I demand Barbara's freedom," you say fiercely, cutting off Barbaravarian's vilainous monologue. "And I reject your offer."

"You would take this new vessel away from us?" asks Barbaravarian.

"A man who does not take care of his things does not deserve any," you reply.

Barbaravarian is visibly displeased with your response but laughs it off as if it were all just a joke. The manacles binding her to teh throne snap open, freeing her. The construct takes herself by the hair, twisting an entire braid so that they may address her head like unto some fiendish figurehead upon their throne perch, Avarian's body still slumped above and behind them: "A pity... You could have had everything your heart desired."

The voice turns gruff for a moment before restoring their mirthful tone: "Very well then... Since we cannot come to an agreement..."

One hand raised out over empty space; energy crackling around armored digits before thrust downwards dramatically once more.

"... DIE!"

Kaede's katana slices the incoming energy blast in twain, sending sparks of dark energy scattering throughout the room.

"Good job!" you shout to her. "Gertrude, now!"

Gertrude charges towards Barbaravarian with a holy symbol in hand, reciting sacred words to weaken their defenses. The demon construct recoils slightly at her approach, but quickly regains composure and lashes out.

Sam takes advantage of this momentary distraction to strike with a sneak attack from behind. She plunges both daggers into Barbaravarian's back - one right through the chitinous skin between tentacles protruding across it- eliciting an otherworldly screech from them that reverberates within your mind long after the sound has stopped. Your party is similarly affected, as as you all stagger, Barbaravarian produces a crackling tendril of energy and whirls it around, whipping the girls into the wall with a single great impact. Sam is knocked unconscious immediately, Kaede injured, and Gertrude stunned.

"You should have taken my deal," Barbaravarian says.

As Barbaravarian advances towards you, you quickly activate Barbara's submission and servitude protocol. It was something that you had added to her persoanlity-matrix during her creation, before she was taken from you. The construct suddenly freezes in place, no longer fully under the control of Avarian's malicious will.

"What... What have you done?!" the demon demands.

It is an odd feeling, seeing a being who once commanded such power now vulnerable and at your mercy. You feel a strange satisfaction knowing that Barbaravarian must serve your every command - but you know it won't last. You have to act fast, before the Demon Prince within regains control!

"On your knees" you command, and then: "Open your mouth."

Barbaravarian protests, claiming that they will not be subjected to such indignities; but the submission and servitude protocols are too powerful. Their body falls limp, subservient to your commands.

You step towards them as they kneel before you, Barbara's Mimic-flesh still bending to your will in spite of her twice-transformed body... You feel the blood rushing through your veins in a giant wave of desire. The potion is still effective for a few more minutes - enough time for what you're about to do...

Before the [Giantblood Potion] wears off completely, you grab Barbaravarian by one of her tentacled appendages and pull her close to you. You are intent on teaching this demon a lesson. Without hesitation or remorse, you take full advantage of your lack of pants.

When the intensity of your sexual conquest dies down, after climax upon climax has drained the demon-construct of her energy, Barbaravarian's scratchy voice rasps out: "Please- stop..."

"Deal," you say, feeling the giant-blood beginning to wear off and its vigor leave you. "But only if you..."

We only managed to ward them off by using a lie. They’ve demonstrate their willingness to kill us. They are unwilling to move.

What if our lie doesn’t last?

(One bird per month) * (number of villages).
The tax we are collecting is substantial to us but cheap for the village's. Yea they may call our bluff but I'd rather keep them around. Partially because genocide isn't normally in my play book but mostly because I want to use them for man power in the near future.

"Deal, but only if you Barbara's body and submit to my authority."

Barbaravarian, weakened and exhausted from the intense pleasure you have just put her through, can no longer resist your commands. She nods weakly in agreement.

You stand up and take a step back while Barbaravarian slowly changes back into Barbara's form- with sleek black tendrils lingering in many places... After some time spent catching your breaths, Gertrude spoke quietly:

"You can't seriously mean to offer a Demon Prince a foothold in our realm?"

You ignore the question, and instead ask Sam: "Do you still have that [Genie's Bottle] from when we adventured in the Sands Immemorial?"

Sam is still a little stunned from what she just witnessed, but eventually nods her head and pulls out the [Genie's Bottle] from her pouch.

"What do you need it for?" she asks, handing it over to you.

You take the [Genie's Bottle] from Sam and approach Barbaravarian. Stepping closer to them, you reach out a hand towards their forehead.

"Come forth Avarian," you pronounce commandingly. "And enter this bottle."

The demon looks up at you defiantly for a moment, but eventually succumbs to your willpower. As it does so, Barbara's body convulses one last time and produces a thick, oily black smoke which disappears completely into the [Genie's Bottle]. With that done, you tuck the bottle securely into your pouch and turn to leave with your companions.

"There, good enough" you ask, intending to make the demon a body to inhabit only when you are certain you have the means to fully control it.

Gertrude let out a small sigh of relief as they exit this evil territory, until suddenly noticing Barbara in your arms, carried like some ragdoll or loot; disgust then clearly showing on her face after her eyes lingered upon you.

"You made an abomination..." Gertrude notes bitterly. "A slave-construct, a living sex-doll."

"Yeah, pretty lame and gross," Kaede cheerfully notes. "You know, if you have another bottle of that [Giantblood Potion], you wouldn't NEED to build fake girlfriends..."

"Close your legs, you samurai slut," Sam growls.

The girls are all silent for a time, but then Sam grimaces and shrugs, saying: "I guess it's good that you did, since WE'D have all been totally fucked if you hadn't used that... Sex protocol... To save us."

"It's still morally and ethically abhorrent!" Gertrude protests. "And it's illegal!"

Barbara stirs a little, and her one visible eye flutters open and looks between you and Gertrude curiously.

>Protest your innocence (lie)
>Plead with them to keep your secret
>Let Barbara speak up since it seems like she might have something to say
>Time to fight your old friend with a party of harem-homunculi you guess

You look down at Barbara, concerned for her after everything she has been put through. She blinks slowly up at you, the glow in her eye piercing.

"I'm...I'm okay," she murmurs weakly. "Thank you for saving me... And for making me."

That's when Barbara turns to the others, and says soemthing unexpected:

"Master," she begins uncertainly, looking around nervously at your companions. "I wanted to say that... despite how things turned out today, or maybe even BECAUSE of the way things went... I think I am happiest when serving my function as an infiltrator and sex-doll."

There is a stunned silence among your companions as they stare incredulously at the former slave who now seemed to find bliss in submitting herself like some kind of exotic entertainment toy and living weapon.

"That's ridiculous!" Gertrude exclaims indignantly, speaking slowly so there can be no mistaking what it meant: "Fulfilling such functions goes against basic human dignity!"

"Maybe, but I am not a human," Barbara says. "The demon-ichor Master injected into me made me something MORE than I was, but even so... I was made to be a spy, and to service him. Today I did both, and it felt... Good. Right. it's what I want to do!"

"Dick-drunk," Kaede says, nodding sagely. "I've been there, sister."

"It's more than that, it's fulfillment," Barbara replies.

"As a slave?" Gertrude asks, almost livid now.

"Slavery is evil," Sam agrees, glaring. "I'm glad he saved us, and you, but your 'Master' is still a sleazeball."

"But why is slavery evil?" Barbara asks innocently, stunning the others into sputtering. "Allow me to suggest an answer: slavery is evil because it involves taking people who long for something else, who have their own drives and ambitions, and forcing them to bend to the will of another and to suppress their own feelings and desires for the master's sake."

Barbara looks at you, as if seeing you for the first time.

"I want to do the things I was made to do. Those ARE my main drives, my ambitions, my dreams."

"But you only feel that way because HE programmed you to!" Gertrude points at you in accusation.

"Why do you serve your gods, then? Because they made you?" the demon-construct asks the holy knight.

"Why do you enjoy the things you enjoy, if not because of your biological imperatives, programmed into you?" she asks Kaede.

She looks at Sam, hardline advocate of freedom and rebellion... Who can only shrug.

"So... We're all good then?" you ask.

Gertrude grumbles and turns away, and Sam slowly nods, though you still sense some suspicion and hostility there. Kaede grins, and whispers: "I'll keep my mouth shut if you send me the recipe for that [Giantblood Potion] for the next time my suitors come calling... And maybe a little taste of what you gave Barbara."

It seems you're in the clear, for now at least.

As you emerge from the Sea of Nightmares, you find Dawn and Sonia still waiting upon the shoreline. Sonia poorly hides her relief at your return, saying only that Dawn wouldn't return home until she was sure you were okay. Dawn proves her right in that, at least, pulling you and Barbara into a motherly bearhug (and marshmallow heaven of her breasts).

"I was so scared for you two!" she cries, as you stroke her hair.

"And you made all of these... Women?" Sam asks.

"Well, he actually made me out of a - MMF!"

You clap your hand over Sonia's mouth before she can reveal your most sordid secrets. The girls still seem suspicious, though. Barbara's speech was compelling enough that all three commit to leaving you be. Gertrude and Sam are still deeply uncomfortable, and leave quickly...

But Kaede remains, to extract her payment for keeping quiet.

When that deed is done (and after the lazy glutton has raided your pantry for what little you have left on her way out) you recline with your Onahole Assistant in your favorite thinking-chair.

You have a lot to consider: what to do with the Demon Prince you've imprisoned in a bottle, where to acquire more Mimic-flesh (or, perhaps with a powerful demon under your control, you can continue your demon-ichor experiments?), and what to do about the goblins, as well as how to revitalize the local environment. The urgency is gone, however, and you're too tired even for more sex.

You fall asleep in your chair, and dream of the future to come.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad I was able to salvage this very coomery but fun and goofy idea, and I hope if the original QM is out there he thinks I did it justice. I hope all the players do, too. I archived it if you want to vote on suptg, and please feel free to continue the story yourselves if you'd like to. I've gotten busy in my life IRL, though, so this is where I end it. I'm glad we got to a proper conclusion for this "arc" before we fell off the board or I had to leave, though.
