Xerneas stifles a mocking laugh as he observes Palkia advancing, his gaze removed from the group—almost as if he didn’t care for their presence.

“Perhaps it would be, wouldn’t it? A hypocrite of myself and what I represent. A shame, truly. I feel such great remorse,” he whispers out, before snapping into a laugh. “Oh, there’s no point in lying! ‘Death’ as you know it should be the least of your concerns. This is… something more, or less, depending on the perspective you take it. You will be removed from the cycle so utterly, so cleanly cut from the cloth of my Life that there will be no memory of your existence.”

He steps forward and turns to look at the group. “A fitting end for creatures which do not naturally belong.” Another fold in reality opens up, revealing a massive, glittering tree. “So do me a favor and leave. It would be convenient.”

Not even glancing back or to give you the chance for a response, Xerneas steps through and vanishes past the shimmering void wall. The anomalous portal fades away, leaving you alone in the starscape with the imposing presence of the primal deity.

With the confirmation of his handler’s departure, Palkia releases a sky-shattering, star-rending roar. The very space around you pulses and warps as everything reshapes itself. Dark shapes come into view from impossibly huge portals, familiar planetoids dragged by an equally titanic arm. These miniature planets—all of which you know for certain you’ve visited before—form a ring around and above. In the breadth of seconds, a dawning realization bursts in your mind just as fast as your heart drums in your head and chest.

You didn’t think a Pokémon could be large enough to fill the entire horizon and more…

Vee stumbles a bit closer to Bind, looking not-good, standing at 130 HP.
"...Not worth arguing with someone who isn't around to listen. We gotta stay focused, just like before."

He is trying his best to appear uninjured.

Vee used Laser Focus!
He carefully watches how space bends to Palkia's whims, and the way new objects warped into reality like nothing before. He needs to think of something that will help him evade getting hurt at any cost.

Maybe he'll find something he could focus on and use, just as he did with Roar of Time in a battle prior.

Before you, two different Palkias stand before you and the security of the world. Each of them are still taller than the entire party, disregarding that one is a colossal being, moving entire planets under sheer force of will.

Primal Palkia releases another roar, however this time, something very different happens. Like light splashing against a prism, Primal Palkia's appearance distorts and wavers, his image blurring your vision and senses. Three distinct shapes fill your view.

They all move in perfect, feral synchronicity, eyeing each of you down...

There seems to be three different lights.

you cant help but wonder which is real?

The colossal Palkia shifts, wrapping his star-spanning reach around one of the planets, a planet looks really normal, actually. Too normal. It's impossibly normal. The lively, if admittedly plain, grassy surface is gouged by the mountainous claws digging in for grip. It's almost looking like he's ready to hurl the entire thing at the group!

>>5731323
You dip into the unfamiliar void, no longer feeling safe in the comfort of the ghastly shadows of the beyond. This is different. Older. A deep red gaze is watching you carefully, as if stalking you like a predator, waiting for the next step and move.

With his focus sharpened, it's a bit of a surprise as Vee can feel a beautiful melody uplifting his spirits, a warm sensation repairing his broken form. He's been healed to full!

Kaku strengthens his body, hoping to be ready once the storm passes.

Castform briefly looks through the X-Ray Specs and can see that something looks... strange with the green one.

Spiritomb cannot find anything in the seemingly infinite wasteland. It's just empty.

Tintoretto chants.

Maroon dashes across the wasteland, bounding and sprinting with everything that he has to crash into the prism lord. He feels his head crash into a wall of pure light, right before an immediate retaliation. Blue and Red act independently, swinging their arms with the power to rend the void.
>Red Primal Palkia used Spacial Rend! Maroon took 744 damage!
>Blue Primal Palkia used Spacial Rend! Maroon took 340 damage!

Charles' flash of light crashes against the Green Palkia, who shudders and recoils, crying in pain. Both Red and Blue clutch their heads as the prism effect ends, vanishing.
>Primal Palkia has sustained significant damage and has returned to normal!

You can see Primal Palkia's form looks less... real. Part of him burns with emptiness of un-reality, dancing like the embers of a dying fire.

Titan Palkia tenses up before shifting into an arcing throw. A burning hot film of Grass-type energy forms around the planetary baseball as it hurtles down toward you. His eyes flash a brilliant red and the planet shifts. Instead of impacting you, the planet skims its atmosphere against the space you occupy.

Those of you who have not taken cover, you feel the searing, unfiltered pain of an entire planet raze across your soul. You're thrown across the glowing wasteland, scattered and dazed.

Citrine, Poli, and Astor make the decision to hide. They dive for cover under a shielded portion of the glowing earth. It'll take you a moment to shake off the fear and to escape the shielded formation.

>>5731379
>>5731391
Bind sticks the spike into the glowing earth, hanging on for everything that he has. Clinging desperately, he feels like a napkin in a lightning storm. Vee also holds on as best as he can, trying not to be blown away. He's also a napkin in the wind, but smaller.
>They both take 400 damage.

>>5731378
The Titan's eyes briefly glance down at the miniscule form of Sableye. Somewhere, there seems to be some hesitation before its gaze hardens. One massive claw begins reaching out into the void between, looking to grasp the gemlin and crush him like a grape.

Kaku moves to slap and strike Primal Palkia. Steeling his own will and fortifying his courage, he lets out a resounding hit against the dragon. It's like hitting a solid wall and his hand stings, but it's struck! Palkia growls.

A crack of thunder and a bolt of lightning hits follows shortly after, electricity running down the form of Primal Palkia. His body twitches and jitters, muscles moving erratically. Charles spits out a splash of acid, the caustic substance running down the weakened side of the other dragon. There's a hiss of pain, but not a second to recover as Bind rides the Psychedelic wave vibe manifestation. His ride abruptly ends as it crashes against the shore of Palkia's. The Lopunny clings to the scales, trying not to fall down.

Primal Palkia lets out an electrified roar. His body pauses and seizes up from the shock. It doesn't look like the attacks have had as great of an effect then when he had split into three...

For a second, you think the bending space might just make the thunderbolt miss, somehow. At the last second, it snaps onto its target, striking the weakened Primal Palkia with a crackling explosion. His state further deteriorates, flaking away into starlight.

Against his better judgement, Maroon decides now is the time to leave. Racing against the falling debris of the passing planetoid, Maroon quickly strikes the vulnerable Palkia with all the speed that his aching body can let him have, before digging in deep as it'll let him. It's short-lived as a giant soulfire web flattens the Arcanine and pins him down under its trapping weight.
>A mountain's worth of web-mass falls on him, crushing him for 700 damage.

The Hurricane causes Palkia to throw his claws down to stab into the earth to stabilize himself, as more of his solid form is destroyed, followed shortly by the arcane blast from Poli's strange spellbook, the space dragon is looking less and less tied to this reality. Almost like he'll fade. Right up next is Spiritomb's attack, and everyone can see it shuddering against the reality-defying form of Primal Palkia. The burning feral anger seems to still be mostly focused, however.

Kaku, still outside and subjected to the fury of the soulfire can feel his soul burning under the scrutiny of an entire planet. However, he doesn't allow his will and strength to falter. Crushing the gem in his grasp and absorbing its full power, he throws himself at Primal Palkia. The dancing stars and blinding illumination of faerie power tears right through the faltering scales of the Lord of Space. He ends with a cool pose, with starlight steaming off his hair. The passing planet is still going to kill him, though.
>A mountain's worth of web-mass falls on him, crushing him for 700 damage.

The Stone Edge carves away at his leg, causing it to become an immaterial shape of space gas and dust.

Every second that passes, Primal Palkia is looking worse. He falls to a still-solid knee, with one half-lidded eye burning a hole through your soul.

There's a burning light fighting against the darkness and reach of the void, calling out for help across the world. All the planetoids sing their praises, as Vee can feel multiple presences answering the call for help. Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Psychic, Ice, Dark, and Fairy have come to aid Vee in the darkest moment. With the fading light...

...several Eeveelutions appear, although they come out looking misshapen and jagged. Vee can still feel himself getting stronger in all regards, though. But he feels a crushing sense of unluckiness that deals true damage to his psyche. Oh, well, at least it did look really cool for a minute.

>>5731551
It seems Primal Palkia isn't all too mentally there to communicate. The only emotion it radiates is one for survival and scathing, frothing fury.

The planet leaves your orbit, scattering sticky soul webs all around the infinite field.

Digging in further, Primal Palkia unleashes a pained, warbling cry across the cosmos. Titan Palkia's eyes widen before it begins moving in a strange way. It raises one arm higher, higher, until it cannot go any further than that. With one brilliant, burning stroke of spacial energy, a truly galactic curving slash of energy speeds across the overplane and through the areas between reality. It's one last attack to finally strike all of you down!

Vee, for a moment, wonders if he recognizes these vague, spectral Eeveelutions who have come to his aid. Were they the same ones he rejected becoming before, and now they're here to help him? He isn't sure which side is the source of the irony.

Vee's Attack was maxed out!
Vee's Special Attack was maxed out!
Vee's Defense was maxed out!
Vee's Special Defense was maxed out!
Vee's Speed was maxed out!

Now completely attuned to the world around him, reaching his utmost peak form, he commands a charge alongside his new allies. He runs faster than he's ever ran before, getting as close to the giant Palkia as he possibly can.

Vee used Copycat!
Vee used Spacial Rend!

He shouts Eevee-ly, swiping his paw out before him and reaching up at the Titan far in front of him. Vee might not hold the same command over space as the God of Space, but he's got a Legendary Move to cross off his list, just like with Roar of Time.

He aims to remove the space between him, his Vee-teammates, and Palkia, hoping to land near Sable to help out.

The first Dark Pulse dissipates under the scrutiny of the approaching Spacial Rend, disrupting the move and causing it to vanish entirely. The second Dark Pulse splashes against Primal Palkia, who flinches and shakes in place, unable to move much more.

Castform strikes the shoulder gems, cracking their surface with the attack. A massive burst of spacial energy fills the area as the field begins to destabilize from the ruptured gem. Primal Palkia cries and lashes out in pain. Another Hurricane from Astor picks up the residual soulfire, burning around the void-like wisps emanating from Primal Palkia's wounds, intensifying the damage.

Stern taps his head, making sure it's still intact for this... and he runs to smash into Primal Palkia once again... only to miss entirely!

There's a loud roaring of a different kind from under the pile of soul webs, right as they're spaghettified and dragged into oblivion. The summoned Black Hole launches away, tailing the Spacial Rend launched by Vee. The intensified gravity fills the sky with strange cosmic phenomenon, further amplified by the debris being hurled up by Bind unintentionally. A superheated aurora forms overhead as intense power fights against each other, grinding and spitting out energy hotter than a building supernova.

It sounds like a gong except resonating throughout his entire tiny body. Sent spinning away, he's going to crash-land back on the infinite field.

It's getting hard to see anything as a Black Hole and two Spacial Rends collide... with a dragon-type accretion disk beginning to slice across the stars above.

A momentary, unnatural silence robs you of your hearing as a cosmic explosion spreads across the sky. No one can hear anything as you watch what amounts to a galaxy being birthed.

You pass through the fading void barrier, finding yourselves in a beautiful grove, untouched by any outsiders until now. Every plant, despite appearing wild and free, has been carefully curated by a dedicated gardener. Alive…

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Xerneas asks, stepping out from behind the shadows. He looks to have a shimmering sheen that wasn’t present before. “But all of this boundless life always has an end.”

His hoof touches an aged flower. “I know all of you have wondered once, ‘why must it come to an end?’ All mortals do.” The representation of Life paces around the clearing, vanishing occasionally between the thick brush. “Is that what you want? You would want to throw away eternal life for all?”

Xerneas doesn’t let you answer. “Congratulations on defeating that withering mind. I’d had hoped he would waste more time, but… tch. You can never truly trust anyone beneath you to get what you want done. Especially that of a feral. But Palkia served his purpose.”

He stops by a tree with branches attempting to scratch the sky, ancient and towering. Xerneas turns to stare at all of you, unbothered by your presence. It doesn't quite seem to look as if his stare is at anyone in particular.

>Cast hears the question, of if eternity should be granted to all, and already has a response in mind.
Yes. life eternal is just as much a curse as death is, arguably, it's worse, because at least you're unaware of death, while an immortal is painfully aware of every issue that comes with their existance.
imagine say... you lose a leg, would you be happy knowing that it's gone until the end of time? that the pain will never truely fade? is that an fair price to pay, or not?
what about hunger, mortal or not everyone has to eat, and I'm sure anything a victim of this would be cursing their immortality for all the suffering it brings them, no sweet release to be given.
my old boss used to have a plan very similar to yours, only he wished that the all would be those who stuck by his side, how can we be sure you're not plotting the same, claiming best intentions but only seeking to grasp power?
>>

Spiritomb only keeps a pair of eyes on Xerneas, manifesting more to look around. A place untouched by man and mon alike is bound to have something valuable.
"You love to wax poetic. We crossed, burned, and jumped off that bridge a long time ago. You lack the means to prevent life changing- it cannot but happen eventually."
Spiritomb glances to the Lost Hope Guild, proof of their point.
"Even legendary pokemon can only learn the hard way sometimes."

Some of you are familiar, while others are less... acquainted.

Having gracefully descended from the canopy of the massive tree and into the pond in front of you, the Tsareena's blade skirt lifted and unfurled like a deadly sharp fan, displaying several Duoblade pairs ready and poised to strike. Her form and stance elicit the same feeling, albeit layered in an aura of regality. She introduces herself with a practiced bow, before the Tsareena's gaze narrows.

The rippling water becomes still as the falling leaves dance in the light breeze of the grove. The Empress finally speaks.

>Target Xerneas(?)
Xerneas finds that Spiritomb will require sustained effort to keep sealed away. They roar as they forcibly emerge from their Odd Keystone. They see Charles has shifted focus. Doing the same, they follow the earlier emission from behind the tree of life.

Multiple mouths emerge from the fog and chant a pair of spells. Using the sealing magic they learned to try reverse-engineering their seal, they place two of their own on the target behind the tree of life. However, they still seem impeded from the prior seal slightly.

Sableye vanishes into realm immaterial, taking the fight to Xerneas. As he exits the area outside the arena, he finds that Phantom Force is struggling to maintain itself. Bind and Spiritomb find that out shortly as they cross the flame barrier, discovering that their speed has practically been gutted by stepping into the aerosoled equivalent of molasses.

"Are you trying to guilt me? Hah. It's been decades since I've come to terms with it. They are part of the cycle. One that I wish did not have to exist. Life should be free and unbound! No more pain, no more death, no more grief. Can you imagine it? Life blossoming past this smothering cradle? To prove that entropy is not a crushing inevitability?"

The area is teeming with boundless fairy energy, filled with a fog so thick it impedes movement. You can see Xerneas moving around, and you can feel that he must be, if anything, partially responsible for the blanketing aura preventing items.

>>5734793
Charles begins digging away at the roots of the Tree, revealing just how dense and thick the entire network is. It's the most alive he's ever seen a tree move, with its anchoring roots growing, snaking, and worming further into the dirt. It's kind of hypnotic in a way... As he continues to unearth, he feels a sinking realization hit him. The Empress isn't here to finish the job. It's to buy time for the Tree of Life...!

The ground begins to crack.

>>5734797
Poli's strange spells strike the bark of the tree, splashing their mysterious and eldritch payload against each pore of the living wood. It begins to sizzle and bubble. A thought strikes his mind. It draws power from the moves, that much is clear. But there's a way to act that doesn't need thinking. A simple, innate thing, that the Frognosticus appears to derive itself from instead.

>>5734799
Vee manages to restrain the Doublade enough to prevent if from being useful, managing to hold it down, supported by his Evoboost and increased Gravity.

>>5734801
Astor hit-a the Empress with a rock-a. It's not the most effective thing, mind you, but he bonks her with it.
>>
The Empress rolls her shoulders back as she saunters to the center of the pond. Finding herself relatively in the center, she directs the unobstructed Doublades to target Charles. The metal clangs against metal, sending a quaking reverberation down Charles' spine. It seems that she's realized that he's up to something!

Vee takes a quick breath, Doublade tied to him and out of commission, for now. He strafes partially-around the Tree of Life, talking to the himself and the Doublade as he does so.
"We're gonna head back home after this. Citrine's gonna get healed up, and everyone'll be really happy with him... Sable's gonna get all the shiny gemstones he could ever want. Charles'll head back to his garden and make sure the flowers look better than ever..."
He speeds up as he rounds the tree to where Xerneas, Bind, and Sable are. "I'm gonna take all the spotlight for raiding the HQ. My friends won't get any unwanted attention, and I'll be the greatest outlaw in the world! Ehehe..."

Vee watches as >>5734850 Bind goes for the tree, and decides to follow suit.
Looking at Xerneas, he smiles smuggly. "Didja get all that? Huh?!" Immediately, he takes the sword's hilt back into his mouth and swings it into the Tree of Life, uncertain of what it might do, but helping out anyway.

Perhaps an overload of energy might do something bad to him, or the sword, or Xerneas, or even the Empress. It has to be going somewhere, right? And the sword seems to love sapping the life out of things.

Maroon immediately boils away the water still stuck in his coat as he ignites hot enough to melt metal on touch, flinging himself recklessly at the Tsareena. His sudden attack sends them both reeling back into the pond, splashing with steam and struggle. Wrapping a leg and wincing at the scorching heat scarring her skin, the Empress snaps down in a chopping motion before kicking him away.

Castform rapidly repositions himself to take the blow, however, has an entirely different experience. It's like being struck by a baseball bat at full force, sending the little weather ball flying off further into the clearing.

The fae fog is obscuring his vision in the immaterial. All he can tell with his limited grasp between the planes is that Xerneas is... not the full picture. Just like Sableye, Spiritomb is struggling to see past the obscuring and deceitful nature of the fairy fog that permeates the area outside the designated arena. Most likely a purposeful design by the deer, no doubt.

Although... Xerneas is definitely influencing something. It must be the tree...?

>>5734835
The Blast Seed hits the ground next to the Empress, and it looks ready to explode, only for it to die down and remain inert. A pulsing wave blasts out from Xerneas, nullifying it.

There's a loud shattering noise in tandem with the ground wrenching itself away. You feel a strange sense of momentum as the Tree of Life begins to lift the surroundings up, and up...
>The aura that's been oppressing the items has been shattered!

Xerneas comes bounding into the clearing, striding past Charles and to the Empress. "Stop them! Stop them now!"

"My lord, how much... longer?"

"Not much." His horns flash a showering color of rainbow light, with all the embedded gems residing in his antlers pulsing and glimmering. A column of Infinity bathes the Empress and her Doublades, each of which begin to glow pure-white. As the spectacle ends and your vision returns, the five Doublade pairs have been combined to form a single, towering Aegislash.

The Empress takes one shaking breath as she stands, clutching the handle as the two move in tandem, bringing up the bonded blade in a ready stance. "It is your will that I shall enact."

Xerneas hisses out in pain as he drops, watching the Eevee scamper away to revive Citrine.

Vee experiences 250 of his life (points) drain away.

Citrine shatters the already ruined clearing. Mud and trampled grass goes flying as jagged spikes emerge like a clawing, closing hand upon the Empress, just in time for the revived Maroon to rush in. The reckless nature and attack of the Arcanine has him barreling straight through the Stone Edges, lacerating and cutting into his fur as he becomes a crashing sun. The Empress only has mere seconds to bring up her Aegislash as the two forces clash for supremacy. The intense heat begins to turn the Aegislash a glowing orange, with the Tsareena's skin drying up right behind it.
>Maroon takes 392 damage from the Stone Edge!

With one final rasping breath and all the power still in her, the Empress grabs Maroon by the scruff of his neck. With a heave, she throws the Aegislash at Astor and Maroon at the spatial barrier.

LHG TURN 8 of 11 (was 10)
The writhing rainbow aurora has grown to nearly suffocate the world. Looking past it, the warping, unnatural movement of the clouds tell you it must be getting bad down there. The Tree of Life itself looks terrible. Where it was once a pristine specimen, the abuse and damage has it oozing sap from all angles. Its previously hidden roots are exposed to the open air, ripped and smashed.

Vee has dropped himself into the heart of the tree. At first, he expects darkness and a warm comfort of his nearby allies. However, he careens and falls deeper into somewhere. Anywhere. At the heart of two different worlds, with the weight of both resting upon your shoulders, everything feels so slow. Poli can feel the Awakening in his bones. Maroon can feel the roots squeezing the breath from his lungs. Sableye remains fainted. Stern burns away at the roots. Astor tugs at the blade left within. Kaku and his hair is entangled in the restrictive thorns. Citrine struggles against the tools of his captor. Konstantin doesn't stop fighting. Spiritomb chants. Charles sings one last song.

You hear something as all the sound leaves your mind. It reminds you of wind chimes, reverberating with the echoes of glass. You feel lighter than a feather and the world less real than yourself. You dare to take one more breath, one last sharp inhale, but you find nothing. No air. A void within your lungs.

It's all so slow. However, yet, your mind, your burning, bright soul is moving faster than any light.

You notice Vee's ribbons are draped around him, completely limp.
>>
>>5737269
Uh, Vee? You know you can control those ribbons, right?
>>
Maroon sighs.

". . . Let's all go home. . . I'm. . . tired. . ."

One of his ribbons is slithering on the ground in place like a snake. When he looks down at it, it stops. "Oh, I guess I gotta figure that out, too..."

Spooky.

"It's outlaw basics to disguise yourself."
Spiritomb doesn't elaborate beyond that. They stretch their foggy body, shaking off the remnants of Xerneas trying to seal them.

"Hehe. Great job everyone," Sneasel congratulates, jumping down. Smiling and waving at the group. "Haha. Totally believed you all could do it. Heh. 'Cuz otherwise we would all be trapped in a living nightmare. Haha."

"...Frankly, I'm just glad you're alright, Vee." Konstantin says, his voice soft, tired, even. "For as much as I didn't get along with everyone perfectly... It would've been hard if someone had actually died." The sword-wielding bunny admits.
>>

"Yeah."

Vee pauses. "WAIT HOW AM I GONNA LET EVERYBODY KNOW IT WAS ME IF THERE'S NO EVIDENCE?!"

His reputation, forever shattered.
For a little while.

Vee is a little surprised, and more than a little spooked, but he seems to compose himself quickly. He's got the Type advantage now.

"I don't know what you're talking about... Unless you have the ability to swap all the wanted posters in Treasure Town."
It's a negotiation.

Y-yeah... we can uh... we can workshop it...

"The other suvivors. I have them in my other palm, though I doubt they'd be celebrating...."

>>5737284
Bind gets up slowly and takes in the scene of his friends chatting for all the victory it implies. He makes his way over to Sneasel.
"You were right. All of this was a lot bigger than us...I'm sorry for thinking we handle this on our own...and for distrusting you..."

>>5737279
>>5737274
"Prepare yourselves." It's as monotone a delivery as the rest of his speech, with the slightest hint of cheer. Neon-green lights snake their way out from his core to cather at the tips of his curled tails, before they fire a beam of draconic energy. They burn the shape of a 'Z' into the void ahead, before exploding and engulfing everyone present once again. Your vision returns to the sight of all of Grass Continent below you, bathed in the orange glow of sunset. The air, despite Zygarde's motion is peaceful and undisturbing.

Vee wasn't expecting that answer. He almost loses his composure due to it.

"And thus ends another story..."
Kaku sighs. "It never feels quite over. Should have figured by now, it never will."

As you could tell by the ID, I play the reckless wildfire on legs and the huge teddy bear with claws. Since this is the last thread of this campaign I'd like to saw a few things before it all ends.

It's been nearly two years since I first spotted the second thread while scrolling through /qst/ looking for something to pass the time. There's been quests with multiple players before, but nothing like this. . . so out of interest I decided to join the server and check out what's what.

And now, nearly two years later, we've gotten this far. A lot farther than most quests ever do, and what you see in the archives is just scratching the surface. There's been countless side quests on the server and little interactions, too many to list. . .

I don't regret clicking on that thread, on that link, and making all the friends and memories I have.

So from the bottom of my heat, thank you.

I can't wait to see what adventures we have next.

LHG EPILOGUE

In the far off future, what has your character sought or accomplished? Have they gone back to a mundane life after saving the world? Or has the taste of adventure left them yearning for such highs again? Or maybe... it was time to finally go home?

>>5737764

>Sable, a man responsible for ending the world as well as saving it, returned to Sable City.
>Waiting for him there was his new family.
>Despite his eagerness to rest, he always made time to visit the Guild Headquarters, and frequently went on adventures with the group until the time came for them all to retire.
>He always looked fondly over his time with the guild, but all good things eventually end. He was pleased that this particular end was a happy one.
>>
>>5737764
Vee has a lot to do, as always. His ambition is as large as his drive to enjoy life with himself and his friends. Whatever happens in the future isn't easily-said, but he was never and will never be one to overlook the present in favor of the future.

He wants to become the greatest outlaw in the world.
He wants to use every move known to Pokémonkind.
He wants to have fun with his friends, forever.
And he wants to find ever more things he wants to do.

He is and always will be a beacon of boundless energy.
So who cares about the future? It's not like his story will ever end. Not on his watch. He's just too sneaky for you to know his next move before he's already taken it.

>There is a letter written in a mixture of printrune and English. It's messy and barely-legible, but it was made with effort.
>It bears a 'Debby's Dashing Delibird Deliveries' logo on it.

'Hey, so, I suck at writing, so this is really annoying for me, but I guess you're right. Practice makes perfect or something.'

'I've still got to head to Treasure Town and buy more supplies like you asked me to... two weeks ago. But something came up, and I'm still lying low until the heat dies off. Maybe you could ask Citrine to do it? Or Charles. Or both! I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help, just like me, but they aren't wanted in town, so they can actually buy stuff.'

'Anyway, I have to go. I promised to hang out with Sable today, tomorrow I've got a job from Rae to do with Brock, and I wanted to ask Bind about helping me rearrange my room. He seems like the type to know how to build a good pillow fort. Oh, and I've got to meet Surtr and Poli for some more magic training, talk to Castform since wants to do stuff, ask Maroon about where he got those Empowerment Seeds, and maybe ask Kaku if he knows anything about training Fairy-Types. It'd be neat to get to know him more.'

'Also I think I just heard something outside my treehouse. They might be onto me. Going to check that out after this.'

'I know it's only partially-written in printrune, but... Does this count as a completed assignment, Professor Pika?'

Stern would remain in this world for a few years to come, mostly relaxing and trying out dishes around the world and riding boats. Eventually though, he had become homesick for Hoenn, and gave a heartfelt farewell to his friends to return home.

Not a few days after Konstantin finished saying his goodbyes, heartfelt and genuine, after apologizing to whoever he felt he'd wronged...

He was gone. He'd left a few things behind, mostly a few seeds and berries, but things like Wroughtquill's armor and the Whispering Glass Greatblade were gone with him. He'd also left a note, written down with one last goodbye, and a wish for everyone to stay safe.

Somewhere, where the sun shines, an ordinary little suburban neighborhood has a house, with whitewashed walls and a faded blue roof.

There comes a knock on the door, and a woman still in mourning opens.

"I'm home, mama." A voice says, hoarse with overwhelming emotion, tears running hot down smiling cheeks. "I'm home!"

It's a quiet life for Theodore after the guild saved the world. Adventuring isn't exactly his field after all- that's engineering, and the only place left in the world that needs engineers is Isla Aether.
In the city built on top the ruins of Aether Paradise, where its salvage finds new purpose, Theodore finds new purpose too helping everything running as it should and even returning to his previous role of older brother to a lone Mimikyu.
Even regions apart he doesn't forget the friends that let him settle into this new life, and still sends letter to them- through Debby's Dashing Delibird Delivers of course.

Things never slow down for Maroon, it's not in his nature to. Instead, the grand adventures out in the world are just trade in for grand adventures back at home. Whether that be helping his friends with their own personal projects, keeping the town he help build safe and happy, or starting a family of his own- everyone who's ever met the reckless mutt can't say he wasn't memorable.

Here in this world, empty of pretermined places and roles for every being to fill, Bind has made a place for himself; there’s nothing to go back to. Lost Hope would function for the rest of its lifespan as a sort of hotel for wayward ex-humans, flung across time and space more as haphazardly as litter than heroes. Bind, the Guildmaster would go on to make a living of bringing the best out of every list wanderer, criminal, or drifter to enter his home.

Charles is a simple man.
Or mon.

After the Guild's latest victory, a battle that the future of the world rested upon,
He went back home, and watered the garden.

He could never bear to leave. Too many friends, too many happy memories!
He did start up a flower shop however.
The many varieties of flora he brought back home from their travels brought in quite a few customers!
So many he had to start going off on his own to get more flowers!
He'll meet many new faces on his journeys.
Some old ones too.
Even a familiar pachirisu.

Despite the appearance of leading a simple life, he still went on adventures with the Guild.
He's got a lot of years left in this, his second life.
And not a moment will be wasted!

Poli had always preferred his magical callings, despite his aptitude. Rather than continue work as an explorer, Poli would move on to found a school "by wizards, for wizards, made from wizards (huh?)." Despite the eccentric combined headmaster & janitor, it would go on to pioneer advances in the local understanding of Orbs and Wands and eventually produce a number of great scholars.

>>>Several years later (2)
The Staraptor sits on his preffered hay pile just in the entrance of the resort, his dream at last fullfilled, he could retire in peace, manage the resort in the day and the small antique shop just on the side, his pet project too
From the back entrance, a Zoroark walks out, sitting next to the bird
"Huff, lots of rowdy customers today, maybe we should limit how many cups of fermented berry juice we sell to the small ones, don't you think?" The fox sights
"Yeah, it would be for the best Anne, but asides that, how's your day going?"
"So far it's calm, maybe a bit too much, Klaus, but that's to be expected during the summer, only a fool would walk through the desert right now"
"But it's a nice view, don't you think?" Klaus asks, watching the scenic outside from the large window in the lobby
"Yeah... it's quite nice indeed"
Both sit silently
"... have you thought about going back?" Anne asks
"Sometimes, but if anyone is waiting for me back there... it might be safer for them if i stay here" Klaus sights, slightly unconvinced of himself
"Maybe we can try to convince Arceus to let you go back for some days and come ba-" before she can finish, the doorbell clinks, Klaus jumps up along Anne
"Welcome to The Pearl!" Both say in unison
The door fully opens, letting a small cloud of sand enter, but the shape is instantly recognizable
The Zebstrika walks inside, rocking both her (Unnoficial) Lost Hope Guild and (Official) Wiggly's guild badge in her favorite scarf (Purple with embroided golden threads)
"Hey pops! Hey mom!" The zebra walks inside
"Blitz! Good to see you!" Klaus jumps over the table before being pushed down by Anne, who quickly closes the distance and hugs her
"Good to see you back! Are you doing any missions nearby?" Anne asks
"Nah, i'm taking my vacations, i have a long expedition with Wiggly's guild during winter so might as well enjoy some weeks before departing"
Klaus finally gets there, hugging Blitz too
"Going out? For how long?" Klaus asks
"Ehh... about two or three months, i'll be here for... what did you call it? Cross something?"
"Christmas, something from Klaus world, i invited Charles too, but i think he's staying in the guild party, so maybe we're going for a while too" Anne corrects her
"Charles? Yeah" Blitz hides a small smirk, keeping the boquet secret, for now
"In any case, you're welcome, i'm going to tell Vivi and Absol to prepare you the suite" Klaus runs before Blitz can argue
"Isn't the suite incredibly expensive? Aren't you losing on it?" Blitz asks
"Nah, it's ok, it's not booked anyways, and anything for you"
"Then i won't object" Blitz sights, something a bit too common with this weird family
After some minutes, Astor is back, guiding both of them to the special table he has on the ceiling, with the same amazing views of the canyon, they sit on the table and enjoy being together for the time, watching the dusk
They found happiness in each other, and they will always be together

As the world ever-changes around them, including the ex-humans they have an in with at the Lost Hope Guild, Spiritomb remains in stasis... Still sealed within their Odd Keystone... Still hunted by the Federation and all who seek their bounty... Still running The Epitaph and other moneymaking schemes to make whatever lives they eventually reincarnate into better...

Assured that change of their own draws ever closer from the failure of Xerneas' plans of stasis, Spiritomb looks to their own future- finding the Hero that sealed them away.

>Cast's job here is far from over, job fufilled, but so many more adventures await
>having seen the world saved twice, and grown quite handily as a person, he always had a way back in his back pocket
>and yet... he never used it
>perhaps he couldn't give up the world here, but neither the world back then
>even when he got tired of dungeon diving he still knew exactly what he was after, getting into archeology to uncover more and more of the old world.
>perhaps he'll even find a memento of friends who have returned to their time?
>or perhaps, a base from his past that started this adventure?
(thank you, everyone)

Ultimately unaware of the actions of the Lost Hope Guild in their conflict against the Federation, Olly, the man displaced both in worlds and time unlike the others kept wandering the world. His newfound faith allowed him to finally truly accept his fate, and move on to live a better life than he had in the 1800s backwater village he was born to.

A chance encounter with a Skitty during a snowy day on the Misty Continent brought a new change into his life. The pragmatic stranger appealed to the self proclaimed squirrel, and he chose to travel with her for a long time to come.

Brock distanced himself from the guild for a while after their attack on the Federation HQ, slinking away into the shadows during the chaos. The Slaking thought his work was done, and he had made the best effort he could to pay for keeping his Federation affiliation hidden from his bros.

He would soon return to Treasure Town to work with Rae and any other local businesses that needed a pair of hands. Building a rapport with the locals quickly, he eventually moved to make friends in the criminal underworld as well.
In the end, whenever asked for his motives, Brock would laugh and answer "I just wanted to make more bros, bro!"

Citrine, for all his claims about hoping things will be quiet, isn't the type to retire early. He settles down, sure, as he's planned for a long time, but when adventuring work is all you know, it's hard not to keep doing it when the opportunity presents itself.

Which, from his point of view, is basically anything, from a relaxing hike to helping fight off outlaws with the guild. The beauty of it, to him, is that it never stops being something he enjoys. A dream job, an easy one, if tiring sometimes.

That makes relaxing afterward easy, too. It's a little strange, for things to be this simple. But he's pretty sure he's earned it. Everyone has.

Even if the chaos settled, there was still too much to see. There was that paradoxical and metaphorical fire. Adventure and exploration called. But to do so alone?

Well, the guild was always there to tag along.

Pika looked over the old assignment paper with a smile on her face. This past year had been quite hectic for the guild, and even though her place had always been to hold the fort down and tend to the wounded after each mission, she felt accomplished.
Leaning back on her chair, she looked around her office at the various trinkets and books she'd collected and studied. Her own notes on medicines based on available berries and seeds took up an entire shelf. She was well on her way to start a separate clinic in Treasure Town, and with the guild's daycare filled with eager young minds, she was confident her work would continue through the generation. She had a star pupil to entrust it onto, after all. The thought brought a smile to her face, as did the big red C+ on the corner of the paper. Vee always had something going on that distracted him from his homework. The paper dropped into a box with the rest of the semester's archived work. Citrine would be around shortly to pick it up and take it to storage, and after that they would head to town for some shopping. The X-eye seeds were running low, and she still had a batch of Full Heals to make this week.

In the end, life continued on for the doctor. A peaceful life of her choosing, one that would echo down history if she had her way. The mother of modern medicine had a nice ring to it.
