With the Supreme Kai of Time Chronoa dethroned, the Demon God Dumplin beaten, and Karn's whole family now able to live in his timeline, things have been looking up for the Saiyan General. But all good things can't last forever. And when conflicts arise between deities, mortals are inevitably caught in the crossfire. Does Karn, the Berserker God possess the strength to protect his family, people, world and reality from their fickle nature? Or are the beings above mortal ken also beyond mortal reproach? This outcome may be up to you.

You the players control Karn, wielder of the mighty Berserker Soul. Granting him the power to fight against gods and other divine beings, to resist their influence and strengths. From his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733, only a few years into his time as a member of the PTO, he has now become the strongest Saiyan of his time. With the power of the Berserker God, combined with That Which Should Not Be and having devoured a soul born of the Abyss itself, his strength is now unlike anything before seen in his reality. But will this newfound strength be enough to overcome the threats headed his way? Only time will tell, your choices can spell the difference between success and failure.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The day of the tournament arrived, everyone traveling via Whis' transporter to Beerus' world, picking up the Destroyer then heading to the tournament planet. Where Meloka took down Champa's first four fighters single-handedly before passing out herself. Leaving Karn to face off against the Sixth's final competitor, Hit. After a grueling match, forcing Karn to unleash the full rage of the Berserker God he had kept locked away, Hit was forced to stop Karn's heart to survive, disqualifying him. But then, as Champa threatened to destroy his universe's fighters for their failures, a new deity appeared. One who made the Destroyers bow, the Omni King. Grand Zen-Oh watched as Chaya battled and bested Kars, capping off the Destroyers' Tournament with a final fight. But as we rejoin Karn, you find yourself drifting back to consciousness out of the void.

Opening your eyes, the first thing you notice is the ceiling of your ship, specifically your bedroom. The nighttime lights glow faintly, just bright enough for your eyes to see. As you lay there a moment, memories start to flood in. You remember sitting in the cube, Meloka and Towa holding you upright while your grandkids fell asleep in your lap. Then you remember the cube stopping back on your world, Meloka telling Whis that she was taking time back home, spending time with you all training her new form. You all said farewells to Chilli, your eldest taking his family with him and returning home after Beerus and Whis left, then suddenly you're here.

Taking a deep breath in, you decide to reach out with your ki sense. Feeling around, you sense that the three of you in here aren't alone, Karn Jr and Milha both in the bed as well. Expanding your sense further feel that the rest of your children, minus Chilli, Milha, and Chaya are all asleep somewhere on the ship as well. Your eldest son and Milha having gone back to Chilli's planet makes sense, and your eldest daughter no doubt back at her Dreadzone. The rest of your crew are where they generally are, but despite everything being where it should be, something still feels... Off. You can't quite place it, not something like your instincts trying to get you awake because someone's snuck into your home. But you can't shake the feeling that something's different.

Well? What now?
>Sneak out of bed and go for a walk around your ship, see if you can figure it out
>Stay where you are but keep your senses sharp, try and figure out this feeling while staying put
>Sneak out of bed and head over to the gravity chamber, see what shape your body's in after your momentary death yesterday
>Gently wake Meloka and Towa, see if they can feel the same thing 'wrong' that you can't place

Taking a slow, deep breath you decide to once more sneak out of bed. With your now years of practice with this you grab everyone else in your gentle telekinetic grip. With practiced precision you lift them all into the air, slipping out of bed then gently laying them all back down together. None of the four of them so much as stir, you walking to the door which opens with a quiet pneumatic hiss. Stepping out through it, you let the door shut behind you as you look left and right, senses on high alert. After a few moments you then reach out with your telekinesis, locking the door behind you. Whatever's got your senses up, you're not letting it just walk into the room with your sleeping family.

“Alright, come on out.” you mutter, walking off down the hall to your right. Bare feet nearly silent on the metal floor, you make your way quietly down the hall. Even the lights in the halls are dimmed, you sensing most of your crew unmoving as they're asleep as well. But still, you can't shake the feeling that something's not right. You can't place it as you walk down the long, curved hallway, making a complete circuit of your home without incident. Yet the feeling of something being off persists. “What the hell? I've usually been attacked by now.”

Yet as you stand before the door to your sleeping family, still nothing happens. It starts to become unsettling, the fact that nothing has happened. You had expected either a robotic assassin, or SOMETHING to happen. But nothing does, you turning your focus inward. If whatever feels off to you isn't external, then, perhaps it is internal? Turning and putting your back to your room you close your eyes, taking a deep breath then sighing out. Focusing inward, you almost immediately realize why everything has felt so off. The once tightly-restrained power of the Berserker Soul, which you worked to subdue for so long, now feels like it's free within your body. From what you can feel, with a thought you'd be able to tap back into its full power, retaking the full power of your Berserker God form. But you also feel that, should something cause you to get angry, your power would flare up as well. Whereas before you felt you had that power contained, controlled and subdued, now feel like it will tear free at a moment's notice. That the anger you've worked so hard to control can tear it's way free at any moment. Which leaves only one question:

What do you do about this? Or do you do anything?
>Leave it alone for now, but give Freeza a warning before you both begin your morning sparring session
>Head outside, sit and start meditating to focus on rebuilding the walls you'd put around your Berserker Soul's power to keep it controlled
>Tap into your Berserker Soul's strength, then when transformed try and restrain your rage once more

Knowing what's been causing the sense of unease, the unfamiliarity around you, you're able to relax once again. Unlocking the door with a thought you step through as it hisses open, you stepping into your room to see Towa surprisingly awake. She sees you immediately, reaching out with a thought to not wake anyone else.

“Karn? Is everything okay?” she asks as you walk over. “What happened?”
“I'm not sure.” you reply, Towa letting you lift her to climb back into bed between her and your wife. You then explain telepathically to her what you feel, how the 'walls' you'd put up between yourself and the Berserker Soul's full power to keep control of it are now gone.
“I see.” Towa whispers, pressing herself to your left side, raising her left to your chest. After a few moments she jerks her hand back away from you, eyes widening a bit in shock. “Ah!”
“You okay?” you whisper, hearing your sleeping wife stir in her sleep. You turn, seeing her adjust herself a moment before going still once more before turning back to Towa.

“Your power. It's almost out-of-control.” she thinks to you, expression very worried. You even think you see a hint of fear in her eyes as she looks to you. “I don't think I can help you, not with this.”
“That's fine, I'm going to try working on it today with Freeza when we spar.” you tell her with a thought, sharing images of how the two of you would train before the week of intense training under her. “If anyone can help me keep this under control, it's him.”
“I'm not sure that's the best idea...” she mutters, brows furrowed. “I'll be there as well. If you lose complete control, I can at least restrain you for a time.”

“Appreciate it.” you reply, your wife grumbling a bit before raising upright, rubbing at her eyes.
“Mrrrhrrrmmm.” she grumbles, opening her left eye and seeing you. “Karn?”
“Mornin' hun.” you say, your wife giving a small smile before reaching over, pressing herself to you. But she also recoils as Towa had, jumping back. However, you feel the Berserker Soul react to her, it blazing in response to her touch. You can feel it reacting to her divine power deep within, sensing the powers of a god nearby it seeks to destroy. With a moment's focus try and restrain your power, but it's no use. You feel yourself transforming.

“GRRRRRR!!” you snarl through clenched teeth, feeling your body rapidly expand up into your Berserker form.
“Karn?” Meloka asks, not backing away but lifting herself up into the air, flying over in front of your face so you see her. “What's wrong, Karn? Talk to me.”
“Tch! Guuuh! Grrrrrr!” you seethe through clenched teeth, fighting your Berserker Soul for control. As you do Towa reaches out, pulling Meloka's hand off your chest. And almost immediately the Berserker Soul begins to settle once more, the surging wrath and power fading. Allowing you to force your body back into your base form again. “Pheeew.”

“Karn? What's wrong?” she asks, eyes full of worry. So you and Towa quickly bring her up to speed as the two youngest, awoken by your sudden surging power look around sleepily, not fully awake and rubbing at their eyes. As you tell her everything you can see the wheels turning in her head, your wife understanding it all. “I see. And you think sparring with Freeza will help?”
“I think it will be good to try.” you answer her, turning to the youngest two children. “Sorry about that, didn't mean to wake you two up.”

“Mmmmm it's fine.” Junior says, standing up on the bed and stretching, Okira doing the same thing. Looks like they won't be heading back to bed, seems the day's starting early. But as you have the thought, the lights begin brightening slightly, signaling the day's about to begin. “Mornin' Daddy. Mornin' Momma. Mornin' Towa.”
“Mmmmmorning.” Okira yawns out, her Stand reaching out her mouth and stretching as well. You get back out of bed, everyone else following and getting dressed as well. You don a simple training suit, telling Meloka your plan. Which arouses some interest from your youngest.
“Can I come watch?” Karn Jr asks you, an eager look in his eye. You share a glance with Meloka, but she clearly doesn't mind.
“Sure thing Kiddo.” you tell him, reaching out and ruffling his hair while reaching out to the former emperor of the Universe, Freeza. Explaining everything to him, Freeza listening quietly until you finish. “You ready?”

“Of course. Same place?” he asks, you confirming before he ends the mental comm. And with that readied, everyone dressed you begin making your way out of the ship, out into the fresh morning air. Taking a deep breath you then take to the sky, everyone else following close behind as you head to the usual clearing. But, as you arrive, see that Freeza is already waiting for you. As you drop down out of the sky, everyone elsy flying a bit further away as the two of you stare each other down. “So? Are you ready to do this?”

“Hrrrraaaaaaa!!” you roar, tapping into your Berserker Soul. Barely touching upon that power within, you surge past your basic Berserker state, transforming all the way to Ascended Berserker. You feel your power trying to ascend even further beyond, to be wholly unleashed, but you restrain it. Throttling that power and keeping yourself in this form takes conscious effort, the power clearly trying to run away and fully unleash itself. “GRRRAAAAAAAA!!”
“What's this? Not starting at full power?” Freeza asks you, smirking as he ascends into his own Golden form. But something's wrong. His power feels... Less. Like the mighty power of his golden form's decreased somehow. Not like he's holding himself back, but... Hold on. He sees something's different as well, expression shifting as he stares you down. His carefree smile vanishes, brows furrowing as he takes his stance. “Hoo, I see.”

And without another word surges forward, blitzing you. He moves fast, faster than you expected as he closes in, swinging his right for your jaw. Stepping into the strike you raise your left, swatting his blow aside with your left forearm while swinging your right forward. You see Freeza's eyes widen before, using the Su Ma technique spins outside around your heavy strike. Swinging his tail, cracking you upside the head into a left hook, the blows staggering you a step. Planting your foot you fire back with a right elbow to the gut, heavy blow connecting and stunning him for a moment. Long enough for you to twist, following up the elbow with a heavy left, smashing it into his face.

“GUUH!” he exclaims as your punch sends him flying back, flipping once and landing lightly on his feet. No sooner than he touches down he blitzes forward again. Crossing your arms and raising them you stop his heavy flipping axe kick, catching his leg at the intersection of your own arms. The ground cracks and crumbles beneath your heels, you shoving him off. Freeza flips back, swinging his tail up into your crossed arms from below. Knocking them up and opening your guard as he lands, exploding up off the ground into a rising left uppercut. Which takes you clear off your feet, yet you can't get over how wrong it feels. Freeza's power is nowhere near as overwhelming as it should be, the disparity between your Ascended Berserker form and his Golden form usually feels far more vast than it does now.
“Tch!” you seethe, twisting and firing off a left turning kick to his side. One Freeza wasn't ready for, again knocking him away from you. Flipping around you reorient yourself, touching down on your toes as Freeza does. He doesn't come forward again, instead watching you with a hard expression in his eyes. What in the world is going on?

“It would seem your power has increased, since yesterday.” Freeza says, taking a more defensive stance as you stand before him. “Your power is quite impressive. Seems I can't keep holding back against you, even in this state. SHYAAAAAA!!”

Suddenly his power explodes, surging higher and higher as he goes to full power. His golden might peaking, you feel his strength reach its maximum.

But how do you respond?

Think about it, the walls were covering the soul. Therefore they were essentially the soul's clothes. The soul which is part Karn is now naked. Therefore it gets some of the nudity bonus Karn does.

“Heh, THAT's more like it!” you say, clenching your fists and blazing your own power. “Bring it.”
“SHYAAAAA!” he shouts, blurring at you. Instantly he closes the distance, firing off a quick 1-2 at your face. Which you're ready for, blocking his left with your own left forearm, then swatting his right away with the same while driving your right into his guts. But this time your blow doesn't send him flying, only knocking him back a step. “Tch! Shyaaaaaa!!”

Freeza launches into a ferocious assault, each blow heavier and sharper than the last. You block the first, second, and third blows, only to take the fourth heavy uppercut to the guts. He follows it up with a devastating right hook into a left uppercut, clockwise spinning tail strike to the right side of your head into a back right elbow followed by a devastating heavy left square into your jaw. Sending you flying, soaring through the air until you crash back-first into something solid.

“Guh.” you wheeze, feeling your anger surging. Your wrath rises, anger surging as the Berserker Soul threatens to take control once more. Your vision starts turning red, but you focus exclusively on your anger. Closing your eyes, you take a deep breath, slowly exhaling as you get your wrath back under control. You then open your eyes, rising back up to your feet. “Kuh.”
“Come on Karn, don't tell me that you're finished already?” he teases, giving you a smirk as you retake your fighting stance. “Why are you holding back?”
“Because I almost lost control.” you reply, panting. “Just now, my Berserker Soul almost went out of control.”

“So, that explains what I felt.” he mutters before retaking his stance. “I take it you're wanting to test your control?”
“Exactly.” you reply, retaking your own stance. “I can't let this power run free, I need to control it. Or else everything could be destroyed.”
“Very well. Brace yourself, Karn!” he shouts, again blurring towards you. Once more he launches into a ferocious attack, forcing you onto the defensive. You do better defensively at this time, blocking one of every two or three heavy blows. You even get a few blows in yourself, snapping his head back with lightning-quick jabs. Yet he doesn't relent, firing attack after attack. With each heavy blow Freeza lands your rage burns white-hot, but you force yourself to keep it under control. And as Freeza continues his assault, you can actually feel the walls returning. The barriers of your control, once shattered, begin reforming around your Berserker Soul.

After a few minutes of getting your ass kicked, you feel that you have the Berserker Soul back under control. Freeza hits you with a powerful left uppercut, knocking you back a dozen paces before flipping, landing back on your feet. Sliding to a stop, you see Freeza standing where he'd been, slowly lowering his arm. Then, he smirks at you.

“Well well, looks like you've gotten your power under control.” he says to you. Which isn't wrong, you feel that most of the walls around your power have been restored. You take another deep breath and power back down, feeling the Berserker Soul is back within 'containment' within you. You tap back into it to once more, swiftly retaking your Ascended Berserker form. Your anger feels back under control, no longer threatening to break free of your control. “So, are you ready to start trying?”

“Am I ready? That's the wrong question, Freeza.” you say, grinning as you draw forth more power out of the Berserker Soul. Digging deep, you feel all of those walls you restored containing the powerful soul, preventing it from running rampant as you ascend into your Berserker God state. “Are YOU ready?”

Going to spell it out a bit, but with these rolls and especially the crit, you've basically unlocked going all-out with the Berserker Soul at-will. You've gained a whole new level of control. Now, anyways:

“HRRRRAAAAA!” you roar, launching yourself towards Freeza. Who braces himself, getting ready for your onslaught. Only, right as you get within range you don't attack. Instead, you kick off the ground into the air, flipping around and firing a quick Scattershot down. “HAAAAA!”
“WHAT?!” Freeza exclaims, unable to get away before your attack rains down. Dozens of explosions consume him, your friend disappearing inside the combined blasts. Reorienting yourself in the air you twist, firing a second Scattershot, then a third as well. Your blasts blanket the area around him, After the third Freeza leaping straight into the air after you. But you were ready, left hand drawn back. “SHHHYAAA!”
“GOTCHA!!” you roar, thrusting your left forward and unleashing a powerful, dense wave of ki. Your attack is too wide for him to simply dodge, forcing him to block. The wave strikes him directly in his guard, pushing your friend back. Then, ending your attack you draw both hands forward, gathering your ki into your fingertips. “SCATTER BEAM!”

“Hmph. Did you think THIS would work against me?!” Freeza shouts, sweeping his left arm up from his left side up over his right shoulder, creating a curved dome of ki. Your beams hit the shield, but instead of being deflected are reflected. Directly back at you!
“What?!” you exclaim, ending your attack and meeting the beams with another Scatter Beam, the beams all slamming into each other. Detonating in a fiery blast, obscuring Freeza from sight. But you can still sense his ki, which immediately begins rushing you down. So, you drop down out of the air, gathering your ki into both hands. Slamming your wrists together as he emerges from the smoke, orb of energy gathered in his hands and aimed down at you, his eyes widen in surprise as he sees you're ready for him. “FINAL FLASH!!”

“HAAAAA!” he shouts, expanding his energy ball wider and wider. Using it as a shield, blocking your attack's power from hitting him. Feeling your attack not working you end it, gathering your ki again into your right in a Piercing Fist as Freeza then fires his attack down. The orb expands as it descends, growing larger and larger as it gets closer. Then, once it's close enough you swing, letting your Piercing Fist slam into the orb. Your attack punches straight through his attack, cutting straight through it. Then, taking a page out of your eldest daughter's playbook fire that attack upward, launching your Piercing Fist directly at Freeza. Forcing him to dodge, losing concentration on the next technique he was preparing. Giving you a momentary advantage.

With him forced to dodge you fire yet another quick Scattershot up to him with your left. He dodges a few of the orbs that went towards him, but unlike the first three this Scattershot doesn't fly off into space. Instead you stop the orbs once they get around him, swinging your right up and firing a Death Beam into the nearest orb. Causing the beam to refract, splitting into two and striking the two nearest orbs. Quickly trapping Freeza within a prison of powerful cutting beams.

“Well done.” your wife says approvingly, having learned it from her. But Freeza is unimpressed, unleashing his energy out in all directions.
“SHYAAAAAAAA!!” the former emperor roars, unleashing his golden energy in a powerful wave of destruction. Obliterating your energy constructs around him, you ending the beam and gathering your ki back into your open hands. And, right as Freeza ends his wave, you draw your right back into a massive Energy Javelin. Launching it directly up at him, the one attack splits into dozens.
“Scatter Javelin!” you roar, Freeza's eyes widening in shock. He draws his right back, firing a Death Slash into the approaching attacks, detonating several of them. Giving him a space to fly through, dashing down at you and closing the distance. Only for you to thrust your left forward, firing another Scattershot at nearly point-blank range. “HAAAAAAA!!”

“SHI-!!” Freeza shouts, unable to react in time to guard himself. Taking almost every single projectile of your Scattershot directly, the blast launching him into the air. The blasts kick up a massive cloud of smoke around you, sweeping your arm out to the side blow it away. Only to see Freeza twisting and rolling through the air, reaching the zenith of his arc and begin dropping back down towards you. Smirking, you draw your right fist back, gathering your ki around it in an explosive mass. One of your earliest techniques you learned, to give your punches a bit more power behind them. And as Freeza drops, still tumbling, you swing.

“HAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, swinging your Energy Punch into his falling chest. Your ki explodes, blasting the former emperor straight down to the ground. He lands with enough force to create a massive crater. His body disappears in the sudden dust cloud kicked up, obscuring him from view.

You hover over him a few moments, looking down at the smoke cloud hiding your friend from view. Then you begin descending, Freeza blasting the dust cloud away. And as he sees you, he can immediately retakes his defensive stance, but then lowers his arms a bit as you land. Realizing you're about to do something, he waits to see what you're planning.

“Are you ready, Lord Freeza?” you ask him, crossing your arms. “Now I'll show you my full power!”
“Ohh? Please, go ahead.” he replies, excitement in his voice. “Do it Karn, unleash everything! Show me your full god-slaying power!”
“HAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, dropping the barriers around your Berserker Soul you'd just erected. They fall, the full might of the powerful soul's power flooding through you. “GRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxwJtggHIew

“GRRRRUUUUAAAAAAAAH!!” you scream as the full power of your Berserker Soul bursts forth, feeling it rip and tear its way through your body as your vision goes red. The power courses through your veins, muscles rippling as the power causes them to swell. You feel your body growing larger and larger, screaming in pain as the Berserker Soul's full power is unleashed. Once the agony ends, you sigh out, lowering your head. Only to see a golden being standing defiantly before you, eyes wide.
“Well well, looks like you've managed to dig deeper into-” he starts, but you're not here to talk. Immediately you surge forward, closing the distance and drive your right square into his face. “Guyyuuuuh!?”

Before the tiny golden man can react you send him flying, then leap into the air. Lacing your fingers together you drop down directly onto him, swinging both fists down square into his chest. Slamming the tiny man down to the ground so hard he bounces back into the air, flipping around and flying right at you, swinging a heavy right directly into your face. He's strong, the attack snapping your head back. You let the force carry you back, flipping into a rising right kick to his jaw, sending the tiny one skyward. Finishing your flip you then blast up after him, catching him just as he recovers and launching into a powerful barrage. The little man is forced entirely on the defensive, defending himself best he can against your attacks. Which quickly grows annoying, you then reaching out and grabbing the little man by both his shoulders. He immediately tries to break your grip by grabbing your own arms, driving his knee up into your chin. But you don't let go, lifting him up overhead then flipping back, kicking him in the jaw and sending the tiny golden figure flying.

The tiny being's body is sent smashing through several trees before disappearing from view entirely. But, before you can chase him down, you feel something else. Something powerful, but more importantly... Divine. Turning you see another small fighter, this one wearing purple as her form is consumed by a blinding azure light. Her body disappears inside it, only for the light itself to flake away from her, revealing the woman to have blue hair. Her power is tremendous, maybe even exceeding the golden one's as she stares you down, expression serious.

“That's enough Karn. Get yourself under control.” she says, taking a fighting stance that looks somehow familiar. But at her obvious provocation your rage soars even higher, your drive to destroy this divine creature increasing your strength even further. Every ounce of your being seeks nothing more than it's destruction, the complete eradication of this goddess before you. “Come on, you're stronger than this.”

But how will you go about it?
>Rush and attack, crush the tiny god with your overwhelming, overflowing power
>Keep your distance and use your overflowing energy to blow it away

“Grrrrrrr! Puny god. I'll CRUSH YOU!” you roar launching yourself at the tiny goddess. But she's faster than you thought, vanishing just as your arms would have grabbed her. For just a moment you feel like you recognize the woman, only for your giant hands pass through the space she'd just occupied. Then, before you can process that suddenly a powerful blow lands on the back of your neck. The heavy blow staggers you a step forward, you planting your right foot and twisting your upper body counterclockwise. Swinging your left arm back, trying to catch her. But she ducks the hit, flipping and kicking off the ground into a flying knee up into your chin. And unlike the golden warrior's blow, this one knocks you back, staggering backwards once more. “Tch!”

“Come on Karn, you're better than this.” she taunts, twisting around into a spinning back kick, boot landing square on your nose. You feel a crunch as the blow knocks you right off your feet, landing on your back and sliding before rolling over onto all fours, looking back up towards her. Only to see she's now got dozens of orbs hovering around her, each radiating with more divine power. You feel your eyes darting back and forth, trying to track their movements. Only for her to vanish!
“Wha-?” you say, only to again take a heavy blow to the back of your neck. Caught completely by surprise it staggers you again, the heavy blow landing again, then a third time and knocking you down to your hands and knees. “Tch! HRRAAAA!!”

From the ground you kick back at her with both heels, palms planted firmly on the ground. But your boots don't hit anything, the force of your kick carrying you off the ground. Only to come face-to-face with the upside-down deity, who doesn't attack you. Instead, for just a split second leans in, grabbing the sides of your face and pressing her mouth to your own. At this contact, suddenly you feel something stir within you, memories begin flooding in. And you remember.

“Me...Lo...Ka?” you ask, seeing her eyes light up for just a moment before the force of your kick carries you into the air. The sudden realization, remembering what's going on stuns you, but you get yourself back under control. Flipping back once, landing on your feet to see your wife turn, looking at you from over her shoulder with a confident grin. “Meloka?”
“There he is.” she says, smile growing. Her expression lighting up your heart, you feel a smile break out on your own face as well. Only for Freeza, in that moment of distraction to suddenly appear, slamming his right fist square into the left side of your jaw. Sending you flying, the blinding Berserker rage threatening to consume you once more.

GD, hypothetically speaking, what happens if Berserk God Karn knocked up SSG Meloka?
>>
>>5983034
I'd wager a miscarriage is more likely than anything else. Handling the still unnamed Divine+Anti-Divine power seems to put an incredible strain on the greatest warriors this Universe has seen in centuries, so an infant, no matter how innately resilient it may be due to its parentage, couldn't handle that kind of power flowing in its veins, unless the spawn were protected via external means, like a Goddess' blessing or something like that. But that's just my two cents.
>>
>>5983049
Wouldnt a goddess blessing make it worse? What about a demon's blessing?
>>
>>5982895
Good luck.
>>5983034
Couldn’t happen. A child couldn’t contend with those powers warring for dominance.
>>5983049
Wouldn’t even be a miscarriage, by most definitions. Life wouldn’t form.
>>5983061
Would have to be stronger than both powers combined. Which is basically impossible.
No, wouldn’t affect the outcome either
>>
>>5983078
Alright, well uhh good to know that we wouldn't spawn the Antichrist or an abominable insult against all life on accident if that were to occur.

Not saying I'm ungrateful for the Beserker power at all, it has saved our asses on multiple occasions, but man is it unruly, which is painfully obvious now that the wifey uses divine power. With great power comes great responsibility AND anger issues.
>>
>>5983078
Well...damn, I wanted a scene of MILF Goddess Meloka meeting other gods and walking around with a God Eater baby.
>>
>>5983094
Well, luckily it's not something you have to worry about. Karn is done having children. Meloka and Towa have a certain agreement in place
Yes, it is quite the difficult power to restrain. A power built upon resisting the divine order does tend to be difficult to control.
>>5983098
You do not want actual God Eaters to be a thing again. There's a reason they were wiped out.
>>

“Gyuh!?” you exclaim, caught by complete surprise as the blow knocks you off your feet. The Berserker Soul's anger blazes, vision going red for a second. But you force it down, gritting your teeth as you flip back, landing on all fours and snarling at him. He stands ready, expression deadly serious. Seems he hasn't realized that you've regained control of yourself. “There you are, Freeza. Was starting to think you'd gotten lost.”

His jaw drops as you push yourself back up to your feet, clearly surprised. Tilting your head first to the right, then the left, you feel several pops, the tension leaving your spine with satisfying cracks.

“That's better. Now, how about you both come at me? Give it everything you've got!” you say, drawing upon the Berserker Soul's rampaging power, feeling your vision tunnel a bit as you draw forth that wrath. But this time you focus that anger, channeling it into your body and not letting it control you. Meloka and Freeza share a look, then both retake their fighting stances, staring you down.

“HAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, launching yourself off the ground towards them. Both Freeza and Meloka dash forward, rushing to meet your charge. You swing your heavy right at your wife, who tries to use the Su Ma to spin out around your strike. Expecting that, however, you pull your punch, switching it into a right elbow. Which catches Meloka in the guts, knocking her back.
“Gyuuh!” she wheezes as your blow sends her flying. Only for Freeza to charge in with a flying kick at your face. But he's too slow, you leaning past the kick to your right, his heel narrowly missing you. Freeza then kicks back at you with his other leg, but you block that blow with your left forearm and follow up with a powerful right hook to his back. Sending him flying the opposite way you'd sent your wife as she charges back in. “HAAAAA!!”

Drawing your right back you catch her left punch on your forearm, stopping her heavy blow from landing on your jaw. You twist into a left cross, which she flips over and fires a left axe kick down at your head. Raising your right forearm you again block the blow, your wife moving around behind you. Twisting, you fire a left elbow at her, only for her to twist clockwise around your attack. Bringing you both face-to-face, and with a smirk you slam your forehead into her own. Momentarily stunning her and allowing you to follow up with a right uppercut to the guts then a left hammer fist, slamming her to the ground at your feet.

Only for Freeza, charging in again to hit you with a flying right kick into turning tail slap into left elbow, the first two blows staggering you back. But you recover before the elbow can land, catching it in your left hand. Only for Meloka, on the ground to explode up, driving her head up into your chin. Retaliation for the headbutt earlier, staggering you back another step and forcing you to release Freeza. Your wife then twists into a right back kick, you catching that blow with your right hand and grabbing her foot. As Freeza charges in you swing her into him, using your wife like a hammer and driving both of them into the ground.

“HYAAA!” Meloka shouts, firing a spray of her Ki Needles up at you. Forcing you to release her foot and dodge back, avoiding the spray of powerful energy attacks. Both Meloka and Freeza leap back up to their feet, charging you together. Taking a step forward you charge as well, once more clashing. The three of you spar together for several more minutes, you pushing the pace against the two while also keeping the Berserker Soul's rage under control. Despite it trying to break free of your control, you manage to suppress it just enough to maintain control while fighting with your friends.

Freeza and Meloka, however, aren't pushovers, pressing their own attack until you send Freeza flying with a kick before landing another solid blow to your wife. Your heavy overhand right to her jaw sends her crashing to the ground, power suddenly fading as she lands at your feet. Concerned, you hold a hand up to Freeza to call a stop while looking down to see her Blue power fade.

“Damn.” she says, reverting back to her base form. Immediately worrying you that you'd done real damage. You kneel down, ready to scoop her up into your arms as she opens her eyes, seeing you and smiles. “I can't keep going.”
“Shit, are you okay?” you ask, immediately worried. But she stands back up like nothing happened, brushing herself off.
“Yeah, I'm fine. It's just this Blue power.” she says, Freeza coming over as well as she talks. “It really burns through my energy, I can't hold it for very long.”

“Ahh, I see. So you wish to train with us, to further increase your stamina in that state.” Freeza says. “Now I see.”
“Super Saiyan Blue is a rather power-intensive transformation, after all.” Towa, who you'd forgot had been observing everything says. “It takes quite some time to fully control, and even then it has its drawbacks.”
“Yeah. It takes a lot of focus to maintain, I can't even use my Energy Shell with it yet.” your wife confirms, then looks to you. “But what about you? Are you okay?”
“I'm fine.” you say, taking a deep breath and slowly sighing out. Focusing on the Berserker Soul within as you power back down, re-erecting the barriers around the powerful soul. It takes a few moments, but once you're done open your eyes. “I've got it under control.”

“Speaking of, I must say your power is quite impressive.” Freeza says to you. “I haven't felt this much power from you since we fought Lord Beerus. Finally getting this power under control?”
“Somewhat.” you reply, looking down at your hand. “The anger, the rage, it's easier to control when I'm not unleashing the Berserker God's full power. But that's what I'm going to be working on improving. I need to be able to use this form's power to its fullest.”
“Well, how about we all discuss this further over breakfast?” Towa asks, suddenly speaking up again. “I have just received word that Silver has finished the meal, our children are already seated.”

At the mention of breakfast both your own and Meloka's stomachs growl audibly, everyone laughing as you all fly over to your home. Heading inside and to the mess hall, enjoying a wonderfully-prepared breakfast.

However, as you eat, you notice someone's missing. Or, rather, two someones. Broly and Koriand'r are both nowhere to be seen. You look around, no one else seeming to notice they aren't here with you all. Which is odd, you know how much they both like to eat.

Well? What do you do?

For a moment you wonder where he is, what he and Kori are up to. But, then you remember, realizing that there is a wedding they're planning for. So, remembering this you reach out to Silver, asking him to save them some of the breakfast as well.

“O'course, not a problem.” he answers you. “I'll save 'em a bite.”
“Appreciate it.” you tell him, ending the mental link. Everyone finishes up their breakfast, you then resuming your normal schedule. Training, teaching and training your students, as well as your younger children, everything seems surprisingly peaceful. After yesterday, having a normal day seemed almost quaint. But, at the end of the day, as you were about to head off to bed, your oldest-born son reaches out to both you and your wife Meloka telepathically.

“Chilli? Everything alright?” you ask, wondering what he's calling about.
“Yeah, everything's fine. Just reminding you that it'll be Meloka Wolbach's birthday in a week. You all are still coming down for it, right?”
“Of course, we'll be there.” Meloka answers immediately.
“Yeah, we won't miss it.” you agree. Feeling his joy through the link.

“She's been talking excitedly about her birthday ever since that tournament, saying she can't wait to see what you've got in store for her.” he says, the joy in his mind causing you and your wife to smile. “Mind throwing up another blast for her?”
“It'd be my pleasure.” you reply, the three of you discussing details for a bit before going off to sleep. But in the morning you wake up a little early, sneaking out of bed. You're going to get her a present as well, and know exactly where to look. Quickly dressing in a training suit you head outside, taking to the air and flying back to the M'lurnian ruins entrance. Where familiar faces are waiting, watching as you approach. “Mornin' Kabuya, Cassa. Anything down there I should know about?”

“General Karn.” they both salute, then after a moment Kabuya speaks up. “We've been hearing noises down there, but no one's been able to find anything yet. If you can figure out whatever it is, we'd appreciate it.”
“I'll keep a lookout.” you tell the two, clenching your fists and ascending into your Berserker form before leaping down into the hole. Your transformed aura lights your way, you traveling through the halls. As you go, you see evidence of the exploration teams, whole rooms cleared out of the items where before ancient weapons had simply been strewn about. As you pass the third such room, you begin considering that maybe they'd already gotten everything out, leaving the ruins as empty. But then you shake your head, determined not to leave empty handed and continue making your way deeper.

Deeper and deeper into the ruins you go, descending deeper and deeper into the dark labyrinth. But as you go deeper than ever before, suddenly you find yourself at a dead end. The hallway just ends, no diverging paths or other ways to go but back. However, remembering what happened before, you walk up to the wall, and swing. Your fist goes straight through the image of the stones, not actually striking anything. The image of the wall wavers a moment before fading entirely, revealing that the hall goes for another few feet. But there, sitting in the darkness is a small wooden box, bound with metal. The box itself has a chain coming from its left side, no doubt having been once used to keep the chest secure somewhere. Yet it isn't locked, the latch is thrown but the box doesn't seem to be locked. Even the chain isn't connected to anything, simply laying on the ground.

However, as you stare at the box, you suddenly get the feeling that someone, or some THING, is watching you. Immediately you expand your ki sense, but the nearest living beings are the two Saiyans far above watching the entrance, and the Rak'kari. As you can feel them not too far away, in your underground exploration are now closer to Raven's island than the city. Whatever is seeing you, you can't sense with your ki sense.

Well? What do you do?
>Walk over and open the box, see what's inside
>Step over the box and hit the wall behind it. See if there's another illusion and this chest is a diversion to keep someone from exploring further
>Pick up the entire chest and Instant Transmission up to the surface by the ladies. Have witnesses when you open it, as you can't ignore the feeling that there's danger
>Walk over and kick the chest, something about the way it's sitting doesn't 'feel' right to you
>Fire off a Scattershot, hit the walls, ceiling, floor, and chest. You may destroy whatever it contains, but you can't shake the feeling this is some sort of trap

The ominous feeling doesn't go away, the treasure sitting there tauntingly. Clenching your fists, you blaze your aura up a bit, the light expanding out and showing you a bit more of the room beyond. The first thing you notice is the three circular holes in the wall behind the chest, you getting the feeling that something will come out of them. But you're going to see what is in that chest, stepping forward confidently

*CLICK*

“What?” you say, feeling the stone you'd stepped on shift a bit, descending down into being level with the rest of the floor. Immediately you see a trio of spears fire out from the wall at you. But you're faster, catching the one that was aimed at your chest. Letting the other two fly past as you stop the one, only for another trio of short spears to follow the first. Dropping the one you'd caught, you catch the second, and same with the third. After the third volley, it seems to stop, silence once more hanging oppressively over you. You remain still, waiting a moment to see what else will happen. But, when nothing else does you drop the last of the small spears, walking over to the chest. Taking a knee you reach down, flipping the latch and opening the chest.

*CLICK*

Again you hear a mechanical click, then the hissing of what sounds something like your ship's air recycler, seeing a dark cloud start shooting up out of the chest at your face!

“SHIT!” you say, leaping back away from the chest. Flying back a few feet, as you land you again feel the ground shift. Landing right back on the button that triggered the spear trap once more. Again you catch the three spears fired at you, the dark smoke pouring from the chest obscuring the holes on the wall where they shoot from. But as you watch, once the second three-shot volley ends, notice the smoke pouring from the chest gets sucked into the three holes, quickly filtering out of the room. After a few seconds the gas seemingly runs out, the hissing noise coming to a stop. You wait another couple of moments, waiting for an additional trap of some kind to spring to life, but nothing happens. Sighing out in relief you step off the pressure plate, walking over to the chest to see what was so heavily guarded. “Woah...”

>>5985501
>u6 has a thriving chest teleportation service
>>
>>5985505
Hour, actually. Realistically speaking the retcon exists because Potara's too overpowered otherwise. There's no complicated dance, there's no matching power exactly, there's not even a height or species limit. The one downside it did have, permanence, got retconned away by Grandpa Buu's Experimental Internet Gas, and making it able to be done away with the Dragon Balls (which happened with Kibito Kai) only makes it even better.

Having a specific time limit for mortals only is still lazy though. If there were to be any kind of limit, make it so it's based on how much power the potara can handle before breaking, or something like that. Still adds the narrative tension back while emphasizing just how strong someone like Vegito Blue actually was.

Talking is not a free action, and wizards do so love to blabber. Almost as much as yapanese animoo characters. Hm.
>>
>>5986415
Yeah, vocal and somatic casting are very easy to get around. Doubly so when you're as fast as somebody like Karn.
>>
>>5986396
No actually, I think it would handily bypass that. It bypasses all forms of barriers, with even high-end shielding charms doing jack shit to stop it. The only thing that doesn't stop it is a physical shield of sufficient thickness, like a wall - it seems to go through anything thin as though it wasn't there, like clothing.
Well, it does get stopped by the magcuffin love charm that saved harry. But that's honestly bullshit. You're telling me that in all the years that the killing curse was around, NOBODY loved a to-be-victim enough to cast that on them? Only harry? Fuck off, rowling.
>>5986415
Surprisingly avoided in higher-end fights in HP, where they start using both wandless and nonverbal magic constantly.
>>
>>5986417
>It bypasses all forms of barriers
It bypasses MAGICAL barriers, not physical barriers.
>The only thing that does stop it is a physical shield of sufficient thickness, like a wall
You mean like Karn's Energy Body, which is described by GD as being "more dense than any naturally occurring material in existence"
>Surprisingly avoided in higher-end fights in HP, where they start using both wandless and nonverbal magic constantly.
It'd be cool if there were a class of Wizards and Witches that specialized in non-verbal wandless casting and combat oriented spells, but I guess JK was too busy writing melodrama nonsense and naming characters shit like "Taco Gutiérrez" to do anything cool.
>>
>>5986418
It's magic, I'm pretty sure it'd run right through that solidified LIFE energy.
>>
>>5986419
This does beg the question though;
At what point does "Ki" stop being one's life force and become regular old energy?
Are they one in the same? Is it only after it's externalized? So many questions.

>>
>>5986384
If it connects? No, instant death isn't something he has resistance to. But it would not only have to connect, but would also have to be fired at an Energy Body-less Karn to even have a chance of succeeding.
>>5986395
Ha! That world isn't ready for him.
>>5986417
Remember, it fails against physical barriers. Pierces through all manner of magical resistance, which Karn has none.
Because it probably was never known to do so, she was probably the first to use that particular low-level magic against such a high level magic.
>>5986419
>>5986424
Remember, ki is physical energy, not some sort of mystical soul energy. It is the energy of your muscles, the power of ki directly related to one's physical strength.
>>5986444
Won't see him this time, but a poor Astora Knight will be attempting to cross THAT bridge.
>>
>>5986521
Some physical barriers. Like I said, it passes through some things like clothing as though it's not even there. And given how its entire deal is completely and instantly killing whatever it hits by ceasing all of its life functions simultaneously, I think Ki is close enough that it would at the very least instantly destroy an Energy Body. I can reason that it might not penetrate through it if I squint a lot and shake my hands in a maybe motion, but it would definitely destroy the protective barrier in the process of being stopped at the very LEAST.
>>
>>5986543
No. When you consider a considerably weaker Karn's Energy Body stopped final form King Cold's lightsaber, a single burst of magic not designed for piercing armor as dense as Katchin wouldn't work. And ki is not living in-and-of itself, it wouldn't "kill" the energy body as it is not alive. However, there are several spells would be more devastating. Like the half-blood prince's Sectumsempra, which explicitly ignores armor and all defenses. Avifors would turn the armor into a bird, leaving Karn wide open. Crucio explicitly ignores most non-magical defenses, and Defodio could be used to literally "dig" through the armor. Diminuindo could shrink the armor until either it shatters or crushes whoever is inside it, Duro to transfigure the Energy Body to solid stone, and Fiendfyre would consume it and Karn completely very swiftly. There are so many answers to the armor that it being able to negate -a- instant death spell would not stop a powerful wizard from that verse from being able to take Karn down with proper preparation. Especially a 2v1, one opens the armor with say Partis Temporus and the other then killing curses him. Petrificus Totalus to immobilize him, while Reducto would disintegrate the Energy Body itself. Be more creative in your approach, a wizard's duel isn't about brute force but finding a solution to the problem that your opponent presents.

Unfortunately all wizards in the potterverse share the same weakness, Gun. Why else do you think the wizarding world shit always happens in Britain and not the US? They fear the freedomstick.

Oh God, she's in for a rough time

Well, the US is also territory of McCoy, who is more threatening than almost any magical human. Not many other wizards can pull a satellite out of orbit and crash it down onto your castle after all.

Poor Anri, she doesn't deserve any of this.

AGE 757, NEW SALDA

“Thank you miss Cauli!” the young Jiralhanae all say, unprompted by their nearby chieftain as the golden glow of your healing miracle fades away.
“Always happy to help.” you say with a smile, taking the time to pat each one of them on the head, two at a time. “Just remember to be more careful next time, okay? I won't always be around.”
“I will!” the leader of the children shouts, taking off at a run back towards where the children had been playing. The rest follow along behind as he shouts, “Forward!”

For a moment you watch, the two groups of children going back to roughhousing, then sigh and start pushing yourself back to your feet.

“Appreciate you always coming by to help the little ones.” Chief Tiveus says, you forcing that smile back onto your face before turning back to face him with practiced efficiency.
“Don't worry about it, it's fine.” you tell him, hiding your own exhaustion. “I'm here to help.”
“Maybe so, but don't forget that it is okay for you to ask for help as well.” he replies, catching you by surprise. Even more so when he sounds like your father with his next sentence. “You're strong, stronger than I can imagine to see what you do willingly every day. I already owe you so much more than I could ever repay, so please. When you can, give me the chance to work off some of that debt to you. It's the least I can do.”

With that he gives you a hearty laugh, giving you a good-natured slap on the back. It makes your smile a bit more genuine, laughing along with him. But then, you feel the familiar power surge into you through the Darkmoon Pendant. You can feel the god's call, sighing out.

“Sorry, gotta go.” you tell him, raising your right to your forehead as your body is enveloped by that dark blue magical power. He nods understandingly, you focusing on the closest powerlevel in your father's ship to your room. After a moment you teleport to him, sharing a nod with Orlen before dashing over to your room. The pendant's pull gets stronger as you open the door, having just enough time to grab the golden spear leaning just inside the door frame before everything goes dark. You lose every sense you have, the darkness engulfing you. For a few moments everything is dark, you then feeling your body rising up out of the darkness. You rise back onto your feet, immediately expanding your ki sense to see what's happening. And, to your surprise, you are actually back in the city of the Gods, Anor Londo itself. But not in front of the grand castle itself, instead you find yourself on the snow-covered streets of Irythill below, near a knight of Astora.

“Haaaa! Hyaaaa!” the woman shouts, thrusting her blade at the axe-wielding warrior. Who easily evades the blade, only for a massive roar to bellow out behind you. Turning, you see a massive beast, looking like some sort of wolf but with its chest a gaping maw of teeth. The beast charges, teeth gnashing as it rushes directly at the woman. Leaving the far weaker Darkwraith to her you turn fully to the beast, planting your feet. The monster leaps, trying to snatch you up in its first mouth. But you're far stronger than it, catching the creature's maw with your spear. Stopping it from biting you, holding it in place as the blade pierces through its lower jaw.

“I've got this one!” you call to her, then whip your arms to the side. Slamming the beast down on the ground before tearing your weapon free, jumping into the air. Planning on thrusting your Dragonslayer Spear down into its eye, but the creature isn't going to die so easily. Somehow, from it's back the beast leaps, trying to devour you with its chest-mouth. Flipping back away, you easily dodge the monster, landing softly on your feet and chancing a glance back. Seeing the woman block a powerful blow form the axe-wielding warrior on her shield only to get kicked back off her feet, landing in a roll. And then you see from the other side of the bridge further away, another Darkwraith is swiftly running up to join the battle. You've got to end this monster, and quick. So you grip your spear in both hands, channeling your ki into the weapon and causing it to begin sparking with the power of the dragon slayers. Lightning crackles along the blade's length, you then dashing in. The beast roars once more, crouching and getting ready to leap. But you're far faster than it, driving the tip of your spear through the beast's right eye.

“GRRRAAAAAAAAAH!!” the creature bellows in pain, but you show no mercy. Driving your spear all the way to the cross guard into its eye, you tear the weapon free in a spray of blood. The monster recoils, you leaping off the ground and driving the tip of your weapon straight through its throat. With a sturdy blade meant to pierce the stone scales of dragons, a fleshy creature stands no chance. Dragging the blade through, you rip its throat out, delivering a fatal blow. Its cry of pain is cut off, the beast collapsing to the bridge before you. Through its one good eye you see the pain it is suffering through for a moment, the confusion and fear of death filling it. But then the monster's eye glazes over, ki vanishing entirely as it dies. As the beast's body begins dissolving you turn your focus back to the fight, where the second warrior has joined the fray. Firing a crystal lance from his staff directly at the knight woman!

Seeing the attack coming, the woman rolls out of the way, only for the axe the other wields to be swung down into her body. She screams in pain, you dashing in and thrusting your spear at the man. He doesn't react in time to avoid your strike, you impaling him on your longer weapon. Red mist sprays from the point of impact, you driving him back away from the downed knight as you start reciting the words of your healing miracle. Shaking the bell with your tail, causing it to jingle just as you finish the quick prayer. Golden light shoots out from the chime, you feeling the familiar warmth as you glance back. Seeing it envelop the woman as well you sigh in relief, shortening your grip on the spear before kicking the first Darkwraith off of it. Sending him crashing down by the first one, who immediately fires another spell. This one is a massive orb of Darkness, radiating with Abyssal energy.

“SHIT!” you exhale, turning and grabbing the knight woman who is still trying to get to her feet. Kicking off the side of the bridge you launch yourself clean to the other side, slamming shoulder-first into the stone wall. Shattering it, sending pieces falling into the water below with a splash.
“Th-Thank you.” comes a young-sounding woman's voice, the girl sounding even younger than yourself. “You saved me.”
“Not yet, I just saved you from that one.” you reply, standing up and setting her down beside you. The axe-wielding warrior instantly starts running your way once more, while the wizard one conjures several orbs of darkness above their head.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

“Dammit.” you mutter, glancing over your shoulder as another pair of Darkwraith red phantoms appear behind you both. They rise up a dozen yards from you both, both the more traditional 'skeletal' Darkwraiths. “Which matters to you more? Fighting for your honor, or getting to your mission?”
“My mission.” the young woman replies instantly, you nodding. The wizard ahead begins charging up another Dark spell while the two behind take off at a sprint at your backs while you grab her. “Huh?”
“Hold on.” you tell her, leaping off the bridge. She screams, clutching onto you in terror as you fly down to the swampy ground below. Two of the Darkwraiths leap off after you, but as is common in this world their ki instantly vanish once they fall down a certain distance, their bodies dissolving into red mist before they can even touch the ground. You land, setting her down only to hear that damned sound again.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

“Dammit.” you sigh out, turning to see a new figure emerging. Or, rather, figures.

The first is a woman(you think) clad in a black dress and black helm, sword sheathed on her left hip and wielding the Dark Hand in her left hand, same as you. The second one, slightly behind the first is a figure seemingly clad in all white, Dark Hand on its left as well but with an oddly-shaped, spiky blade in its right. Face hidden behind a golden mask under a wide-brimmed white hat. While that one doesn't seem like to much a threat, you can almost taste the blood on the other's power. Which is no joke, her might rivaling that of your Super Saiyan power. Whoever she is, she's dangerous.

“Stay behind me.” you say to the young knight, pushing her back then drawing upon your power with a shout. “HRRRAAAAAA!!”

Power explodes from you, lightning crackling around your golden aura as you Ascend. Brandishing the spear at them you begin focusing, causing lightning to crackle along its blade. But, instead of attacking immediately, the one in front of you speaks.

“So, thou art the one. The otherworldly Darkmoon who hunts mine kin.” she says, drawing her sword. But, to your shock the sword blade is completely invisible, the woman taking the handle in both hands and raising it overhead, in your father's sword stance. “I, Yuria of Londor, shall take thy head as redress.”
“I won't let them hurt you.” you say to the young knightess behind you, readying yourself for battle. Only to see the pale one preparing to cast some manner of Dark magic. With a thought you focus your power through the spear, firing another lightning bolt directly at him. Catching the pale shade before it can evade, knocking him over. But in that moment the other one, Yuria, attacks. In a blur she closes the distance, swinging her sword for your head. With a quick muttering of the prayer and shaking the chime with your tail, you activate the Force miracle. The shock wave knocks the woman back, giving you an opening. “You're mine!”

Ignoring her on the ground you rush the one rising back up to his feet, driving the golden spear straight through his head. Pinning him down under the shallow water, the electricity pouring through his body causing him to spasm for a second. Then, his ki fades away entirely, body dissolving into mist. You jerk the spear back free, turning to face the woman again. Who is back on her feet, back to the young woman you're here to save. Again she's retaken that same stance, but then can almost feel her smirk as she takes her left hand off the weapon. Going to her belt, she begins throwing knives at you as she advances, forcing you to side step back and forth to evade them. Then, once she's gotten close enough she draws her right back, lunging forward and thrusting her unseen blade at you. Raiding your own weapon defensively, you feel something strike it. You force the unseen blade away off to your right side, releasing your spear then lunging at the woman. You're ending this right now.

“What?!” she exclaims as you grab her right wrist with your right, then let the hunger of your Dark Hand loose. The power blazes as you swing your hand, grabbing her by the throat as you begin using their dark art of Lifedrain against her. Power floods into your body as you sap her strength, the Dark Hand greedily devouring more and more power from her. You feel her strength drop precipitously, until suddenly you feel her left grab onto your right still holding her weapon. “Thou thinkst to turn our sacred art back against us? Pitiable fool, thou shalt pay for thine hubris.”

You pull your head back, slamming it straight into her helmet with a smirk. Denting and cracking the metal, causing the woman to reel back in pain. And, while she's distracted you release her with your left, quickly creating a Ki Blade and severing her hand from her arm. The woman screams as red mist sprays everywhere, the woman dropping to her knees and clutching her stump in her left. You then plant your right boot into her chest, knocking her down before flipping the weapon hilt around in your hand, wielding the invisible weapon. Upon closer inspection, you begin to see hints of the blade when it catches the light just right, giving you an idea of its range. Walking forward you plant your right boot on her left wrist, severing that arm as well. Preventing her from draining your power with her Lifedrain, then as she screams reach down and take the sword's sheathe from her before stabbing her in the chest with her own weapon, tearing it free and spraying red mist everywhere. You feel her energy fade entirely, turning back to the stunned knightess.

“With their leader dead, the rest will probably flee.” you say to her, sheathing the almost completely-invisible blade then walking over to your spear, picking it up with your left. “Are you okay?”
“I....I'm fine. Thank you, truly.” she says, giving you a surprisingly proper bow. “I would not have survived that ambush, were it not for you. I am in your debt.... Uhmm, what was your name again?”
“Caulifla.” you tell her with a smile. “Call me Caulifla.”
“Thank you, Caulifla. I, Anri of Astora, will not forget you.” she says, you feeling the pendant's pull once more. Seems the others have left, and it's time for you to go back. “If you ever need aid, please. Don't hesitate to-”

But she is cut off as everything goes dark, you losing all senses again. But you can't help but feel satisfied with the battle, and even more curious what this new weapon can do. You can't wait to take it to your brother Chilli, and see what he can dig up about it. However, as you find yourself rising up from the ground once more, find yourself not back home, but instead back at a place called Iron Keep. Sighing, you once more expand your ki sense, searching for the next person in need of your assistance.

It's kind of funny how out of all of our kids, the one with a healing obsession is probably going to be the best fighter in terms of actual experience. She gets into fights all the damn time cause of that doodad.
>>
>>5986936
Caulifla is second only to Chaya in terms of raw hours spent fighting, not counting Future Chaya of course.
>>
>>5986937
To be fair a lot of Chaya's fighting experience is closer to sport fighting. Bloodsport, sure, but still. But I suppose it is unfair to say Cauli has more "real experience" because that's what those morons online say about sparring not being "real practice" for fighting.
>>
considering the rate cauli is actually succeeding on these fights, she might very well save gwyndolins ass from becoming snake food one day.
>>
>>5986940
That’s one way of looking at it. But, consider another. Most of Cauli’s experience is against magic wielders who can’t even fly. Where she has complete mobility superiority, and often sizeable strength and speed edges as well. Most of Caulifla’s fights are over in under two minutes. Then getting teleported away back to full health and strength, as she was when leaving ‘her’ reality behind. While Chaya, while also being stronger, is more used to fighting longer bouts uninterrupted. Round after round, wave upon wave of enemies attacking her relentlessly culminating in battling strong foes. Those with wildly different abilities, while most of Caulifla’s are relatively similar in terms of strengths and powers. Like having only a single sparring partner vs having a whole gym of teammates.

She did already save him from Sulyvahn’s poisoning years ago, preventing the false Pontiff from feeding him to Aldritch.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The day after the Destroyers' Tournament, Karn awoke to a feeling of unease, of something being off. After exploring his ship, expecting some sort of invader or assassin, he then realized the problem was internal. The 'walls' he'd erected in his mind, in his heart to shield himself from the Berserker Soul's wrath were gone. After everyone else was up Karn and Freeza began their daily spar, unleashing the full might of the Berserker God's power. Meloka joined in the fight as he lost control, fighting him until he could regain control. Then, Karn battled both his wife and friend until Meloka reached her limits with Super Saiyan Blue, the trio calling an end to the morning training. After breakfast, Karn then went to the M'lurnian Ruins to find a birthday present for his granddaughter. And as we rejoin Karn, you've just opened the double-trapped chest hidden behind an illusory wall.

“Woah...” you mutter, peering down into the chest. To your surprise, the box doesn't actually have a bottom, the floor seemingly smashed out from under it and leading somewhere dark. Leaning over, your light fails to illuminate the darkness below. Seems the pit is deep, you pondering over it a moment. You then reach down into the box with your left hand, creating a small ki orb to try and illuminate the darkness below. Light bursts out from the orb, normally radiant but the light is seemingly swallowed by the darkness as you try to look around, you think you see the light of your orb reflect off of something seemingly far below. “What's that?”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

Leaning in further, suddenly you hear a strange sound from behind you. But, before you can rise out of the box, feel something strike you straight on the backside, stealing your balance and sending you falling down into the dark void!

“Every age, it seems, is tainted by the greed of men.” an almost nasally voice says as you hit the ground, looking back up to see, to your shock the chest above suddenly slam shut!

“Dammit, what the hell?” you mutter, focusing on your ki sense. Expanding its range, you immediately realize that this space isn't a 'part' of New Salda. It is quite like the Abyss, a small pocket space cut off from the rest of the world. Your senses expand further and further, quickly growing to even greater than New Salda itself. Then, finally you feel something. The presence is minuscule, but you do sense something off in the distance. You aren't sure what it is, but now with a direction to head in you decide to try and make your way to it. However, as you take your first step, you nearly slam into a wall. Your aura barely illuminates even a foot before you, revealing the rough cave wall and floor around you. “Shit.”

Reaching out, you press your left to the wall, only for it to not feel rocky. Instead, it feels somewhat slimy, almost like there's a film of something on it. You pull your hand back, seeing it covered in some sort of dark liquid. After a second it begins burning your hand, eyes widening in surprise as you realize what this is.

“The Abyss.” you say, focusing your ki around your arm and blasting the Dark away. “Shit. I should have known.”

You take a deep breath, sighing out and focusing your aura into your Energy Body. The armor begins glowing around you, not illuminating the Abyss around you quite as bright, but you can still faintly see the wall before you. So you start moving, walking along the wall, heading deeper into this Abyss. You're careful not to touch it with your Energy Body, but follow it deeper into this cave-like Abyss. Going deeper and deeper in, slowly making your way towards that tiny ki you can feel. Time feels like it's moving differently in this space, it could be thirty seconds or three hours before you start getting close to the power. However, as you do, suddenly you feel another power appear by the first. One that's far, far stronger, and it feels familiar.

“What? No, it can't be...” you mutter, recognizing the power. That which you'd once held within yourself. “You.”

Immediately you focus on that power, raising your right hand to your forehead and focusing exclusively on it. It takes you a moment, then use you Instant Transmission to teleport between the two. Leaving the dark pit you're in you reappear somewhere else, standing before the familiar being. It swings its purple blade, you reaching up with your forearm and blocking its swing. Your energy stops its blade, holding its backhanded swing back. YOU can almost feel the being's confusion at your sudden arrival, flying back with a sweep of its wings back.

“Wha-Hwa-?!” a tiny voice calls from behind you as the beast retreats, white body disappearing in the darkness around you. Glancing over your shoulder, you do a double take. Seeing a small woman wearing dark clothes, a pointed hat similar to your daughter Milha's standing out. Now that you're far closer to the woman, her power feels vaguely familiar, but she can wait. You have a familiar being to handle first. “Ah-!”

“Tch! I hope you're ready. I'm not the same fighter you faced before. HRRRAAAAA!!”” you say to the creature before roaring, shattering your Energy Body as your power surges. Tapping into the Berserker Soul's rage, your body explodes, surging with power. Your powerlevel and hair both grow massively, the stone ground cracking beneath your feet as you transform. Your form's aura burns away the darkness, devouring the dark much as it had when you used your Berserker Soul to defeat the Abyssal Soul within you. Illuminating the cave, bathing the being before you in light.

“Kaaah!” the woman behind you cries out in pain as your light illuminates the Dark, but your focus is on the being you're going to crush. Now, seen in the light you see what appear to be tiny glowing eyes peering at you from the gaps in its chest hole and the empty hood, the darkness inside it staring at you. Its wings, which at first seem avian taper off into strange bluish tentacle-like growths at the ends, giving this being an otherworldly appearance. But, unlike the woman your light doesn't phase it, thrusting its left hand forward and firing a spear of materialized light. Not at you, but again at the woman behind you! So you move, dashing in and backhanding the attack with your right, shattering the attack before closing in. The creature, shocked by its attack failing isn't ready as you close the distance, swinging your right into it. It brings all four arms together to try and block your strike, but it can't fully withstand your hit. Sending the creature flying back, smashing into the far wall of the cave.

“HRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, launching yourself forward explosively once more, closing the distance. But, before you fully close in, a dark portal opens up between you both. You're moving far too fast to stop, dashing through the portal only to find yourself still in the same cave, now flying directly down at the woman. And with only a moment's thought reach out with your arms and legs, slamming them into the ground around her, preventing your bulk from crashing down and crushing her between your body and the ground. “Tch.”

And the pale being firing a mass of Dark energy into the near one, it exiting the second one, by you and the woman. Your instincts warn you that the attack's stronger than it appears, despite being the smallest blast you've seen it fire. Your Berserker Soul reacts to that Darkness, urging you to flee. So, without hesitation you reach down with your left, scooping the tiny woman up in one arm while leaping away to your right, getting clear as the dark projectile falls right by where the two of you'd been a moment ago. “Whaaa-?!”

The tiny orb explodes in a massive blast of Dark energy, one far larger than its size would suggest. As the orb lands, the creature flies up more towards the ceiling of this place, energy gathered in its hands as it prepares another attack.

“Hang on.” you tell her, leaping to your right and dodging the beam of energy the being fires. Now, in the light, you see that it's seemingly light attacks, now shown in the light of your Berserker God's aura are wreathed in Darkness, radiating off of them. You fly just ahead of the monster's beam, waiting for the attack to end before setting the tiny girl, not much older than Okira judging by her size and weight back down and rushing forward. That pale being crosses its other two arms, folding its wings in on itself as you close in. Then, right as you swing for its chest, the one being splits into two! It splits right as you were trying to hit it, fist sailing through nothing as it splits into two identical selves, even their power both are equal. “Tch!”

Front flipping, you land on your feet, sliding to a stop as you turn back to face it. Or, rather them, the two beings drawing their blades. One rushes towards you, while the other turns back towards the woman, clearly intent on attacking her again.

But what do you do?
>Rush and attack the one going for the woman, crush it with a powerful sneak attack before it can cut her down
>Line them up and Scatter Beam through each of them, cut both down with a single attack before it can kill her or reach you
>Dash around over to the girl, activating your Energy Body and defend her from them. Don't let them get past you to attack her
>Focus on the one in front of you, leave the woman to her own as you crush this first one with your Djem So and raw power

Chronoa is gone, at least for now. But that doesn't mean that there aren't other threats in the multiverse. And, the main question regarding Chronoa hasn't yet been answered: why did she do this? What could have had her so afraid as to rewrite all of reality multiple times? The same Chronoa who'd fight Aeos over not destroying only most of the timelines.
>>

Not necessarily evil, yet. What catastrophe could be so bad that SHE would constantly rewrite reality for? And Mechikabura's still 'evil', but since Karn's 'on his side' he isn't attacking him again. As for Freeza, yes. Him befriending a Saiyan was mainly due to not being threatened by the Super Saiyan, and Karn's unwavering devotion. Karn isn't necessarily a 'good guy' but will protect his family and people.

“Shit, I have to end this, quick!” you think to yourself, immediately dashing to your left. Carefully lining the two beings up as the one closes in on you. Lining them both up, you gather your energy into your right hand's fingertips, focusing, then fire. Five parallel beams of emerald ki burst from your fingertips, blasting towards the two figures. The close one sees the attack coming, dodging the beams with a flap of its wings. Instead of taking all five straight into its chest, only one beam hits its chest, piercing through the still crossed arm. Another hits it in the other right arm's bicep, punching straight through it while the other three pierce through its feathery wing. Dodging to its left saved that one's life, but the second wasn't as aware. It raises its blade overhead, ready to execute the woman. Before it can swing, your five beams pierce straight through its back. Bursting out its chest and slamming into the wall beyond as the woman cries out.

“Kyaah!?” she screams, terror in her voice as your attack cuts through the one about to kill her with ease. That one arches its back, then to your surprise its body begins disintegrating. Seemingly dissolving into motes of light which are quickly snuffed out as you end your beams. The one you'd clipped, however, isn't dead, rushing in at you with its blade at the ready. Yet you're too swift, too strong, catching its left wrist with your right hand, stopping its swing. Then, before the beast can react you thrust your left fist straight into the darkness that is its chest cavity, feeling the Dark singing your flesh. But that doesn't stop you, driving your hand up through its open cavity. As if tracing the path of a person's spine with your hand, suddenly as you reach just below where its neck should be you feel something. Your left fist hits something different, something... Warm.

Without hesitation you grab onto it and tear, ripping whatever it is free of the monster. It unleashes a deathly howl as it begins turning to light particles as well, reaching out towards the gentle flame burning in your Abyss-covered left hand. The being reaches out, trying to grab onto that flame, to reclaim what it just lost. But right as its fingertips would have touched it they disintegrate into motes of light, fading away into nothing. Leaving you standing alone, victorious, holding what that being had stolen from you before.

However, as you look at it, it isn't the same. Whereas before it seemed a singular flame, this one appears to have a second, almost ghostly flame entwined with the first. You feel power radiating from this light, from this flame. But, as you hold it, suddenly a dark urge rises up from the depths of your Berserker Soul. To devour it, to consume it whole as it had with the Abyssal Soul you'd wielded before. Instinctually, you somehow understand that, to absorb its power into your Berserker God soul, all you have to do is crush it in your hand. Adding its power to your own. But, you also know that you can do more with this power.

You could always save it, press it to your chest and let it rest inside of you. An extra store of power for later, another source to draw upon should times grow dire. Or, perhaps you could simply hold and keep it, giving it to Chilli or perhaps letting Towa examine it as well. You're sure they could discover more of what these 'souls' are, and gain a better understanding of them.

And then there's the woman, hands clutching the brim of her hat down over her head as she trembles, not daring to look up. Too afraid to confront reality, to take any actions to decide her own fate. You'll have to do something with her, or perhaps simply leave her? Then again, she may be the key to leaving this place.

But you can deal with her later, first up is this power held aloft in your Abyss-burned left hand. You have reclaimed what this being took from you back last time you were in the Abyss, with interest.

But what will you do now?
>Crush it, consume its power for yourself and feed it to the Berserker Soul as you had with that much darker Soul
>Press it to you, absorb that power into your body but don't consume it just yet, leave it safely tucked away for later, should the need arise
>Keep it clutched in your left, try and keep it there in your hand until you escape this place and can ask your allies what should be done
>Walk over to the young girl and offer it to her, use her reaction to see how you should treat her

As you hold the seemingly twinned soul, you consider your choices. You're very tempted to simply crush that soul, to devour it immediately and feed its power to your Berserker Soul. But, as you stare at it, looking past it you can't help but see the woman cowering there, clutching her hat down over her head and shaking silently. Taking a good look at her, her clothes are in tatters. Her hat is bound repeatedly, keeping the point attached to the wide brim while her dress is radded and worn, torn to shreds. There are hints of some sort of overcloak over it all, but that's been ripped away to where all that's left of it is above her elbows. Leaving it useless for covering anything below the sternum. But as she shakes uncontrollably, pale hands standing out in stark relief against her ragged clothes, for just a moment she reminds you of someone. Another young girl, locked away and kept a prisoner. Remembering Raven, you decide to give this being a chance, stepping forward. Not powering down, your instincts feeling not quite ready to attack, but wary of the girl as you take a knee before her.

“Hey, are you alright?” you ask, not reaching out to her. But as you speak she starts, nearly falling back before seemingly looking up at you. She doesn't look up enough for you to see her face below the brim, but she's clearly speaking to you.
“Ah-Are'st thou...? No...” she mutters, sounding a bit confused. Or dazed, as if she'd hit her head before you'd arrived to fight that thing. “M-My thanks. I could not face That Which Lurks in the Dark on my own.”

Wordlessly, you hold out the twinned souls, her head instantly turning towards it. At least you think that's where she's looking, as she still hasn't met your gaze and you've not seen her face.

“You...Offer me this? The souls of that foul beast?” she asks, hesitantly reaching up towards it with her right hand. But as she starts getting close she reaches out with her left, catching her arm and pulling it down, forcing her hand away from it. “No, I musn't. Such dread power should ne'er be under mine dominion. Please, do not tempt me so.”
“Very well.” you say, lowering your hand but not using the soul otherwise. “Who are you? And what are you doing here?”
“Me? I...Do not have a name.” she says to you, looking back down. “As for how I got here, I.... I do not know. All of my life I have been here, in this place. But you, my savior. You do not belong here. Your light, it... Disturbs, this place.”

“Are you saying you want me to leave you here, all alone?” you ask, to which the tiny figure doesn't immediately answer. The silence hangs in the air between you both, the girl considering her options. Then, all of a sudden you feel something... Else. A much greater power, not stronger than yourself but far vaster like an ocean suddenly appear to your senses. The girls seemingly senses it too, her body jerking a bit as her head turns towards that familiar power as well. It feels familiar, almost like the young girl's here, when she turns back to you.

“Please, we must leave. Now.” she says, sounding terrified. “Don't let it get me.”
“Let what get you?” you ask, wondering why this power feels so much like the girl's own, yet why it feels familiar somehow.
“The Devourer.” she says, her awed, frightened tone reminding you of how people would speak of Lord Freeza's arrival back in your youth. And as the power gets closer, suddenly you recognize it. Or, rather, recognize HIM. Aku is coming. “Please, do not let it eat me. I'll do whatever you wish, give you whatever you want, but please. Save me.”

The desperation in her tone reminds you of your own daughter, Chaya, calling out to you to save her as she lay dying on Planet Yardrat. But why is Aku after this girl? Who is she?

Well? What do you do?

For a moment, you consider waiting here for Aku, to see what's going on. But then you remember back to the last time you'd faced him, when he consumed the soul of that Abyssal Dragon and was transformed down in that cave. You don't like your odds of facing him, should he react poorly down here. So, your path decided you focus on the link of your wedding band, connecting you to your wife across space and time. You feel her ki, blazing with divine power as she no doubt sensed your ki vanish when you lost your connection to everyone.

“Time to go.” you tell this small child-like woman her as you reach down, scooping up the tiny girl in your left as you raise your right to your forehead, focusing on your wife's energy. Then, after a few moments' thought your Instant Transmission works, teleporting you directly out of the Abyss. Leaving it behind, reappearing beside your wife. The first thing you notice is that she's in her Super Saiyan God form, divine aura blazing like a wildfire. Second is that you're back in the M'lurnian Ruins, your wife standing before the very chest you'd disappeared down. And she's not alone, your youngest daughter Okira leading the way, a faint trail of green sparkles leading from Imagine Dragon's face to the chest you'd gone down. Caulifla is here too, wearing a silvery suit of metal armor, small cape going down her back as she stands over everyone else present. Her own Stand, Triumph Requiem hovers protectively behind her, everyone turning as you suddenly arrive.

“Karn!” your wife says, turning first and noticing immediately the tiny creature held in your arm. “What happened?”
“Dad!” Caulifla says, sounding relieved, you seeing the tension leave her body in a wave.
“Daddy!” Okira says, smile wide as the effect in the air leading to the chest ends. You wonder what power she unlocked, shaking your head you put that aside, reaching the three of them telepathically.

“Don't go into that chest, it leads to the Abyss. Aku is coming, he's seeking this little one.” as you think this you move her slightly, lifting her up a bit then retaking your position from earlier. Then, you add in aloud. “Let's get to the surface. Quickly. We don't want to be down here when he comes out.”

“Right.” your wife says, nodding as she, with her grip still on Okira's collar walks over, everyone touching you as you focus on the guard posted above, teleporting directly to her. Leaving the darkness of the ruins, returning to your planet's surface. Whereupon the young girl immediately cries out, dropping out of your arm onto the ground.
“What's wrong? I'll help you.” Caulifla says, her healing reflexes taking over. But your instincts suddenly warn you of danger, of a threat headed your way. Glancing over to Meloka, your wife nods, clearly ready for a fight as well.
“Too-! Bright!” the girl says, Okira and Imagine Dragon conjuring a space of shadows instead of light, the girl's tiny frame sagging in relief.

“Karn! What the hell is going on?!” Kabuya shouts, running over already in her Super Saiyan form. But, before she can reach you the ground begins shaking, your instincts warning you of a tremendous danger rapidly approaching.
“Everyone! Get back away from the pit!” you shout, but before anyone can move, HE appears!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FzSVnrHXa0

“FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLISH SAAAAIIIIIYAAAAAAN WAAAAARIOOOOOOR!!” Aku bellows as his darkness erupts from the pit, filling it entirely as his colossal being rises to his full, terrifying size. His scale reminds you of facing down the Demon God Dumplin, the Dark being towering over you all and blotting out the sun. “DO YOU THINK YOU CAN KEEP MY PRIZE FROM MEEEEEE?!”
“AKU!” you roar, letting your Berserker God aura blaze as you launch yourself into the air, trying to draw his attention. Your wife follows close behind you, her fiery godly aura blazing as well. “GET DOWN HERE AND TALK!”

Silence hangs over you all, Aku's massive face staring down at you. Then, he begins shrinking down, reducing himself from his absolutely horrific proportions down to a more 'normal' size. He reduces himself down to the same size of your Berserker God form, protruding from the Darkness he's filled the catacombs with. You land in front of him, placing yourself between Aku and the child you'd rescued. He stares you down, eyes blazing with fire yet his gaze is icy. So, you decide to speak up first.

“Aku. Good to see you.” you say, raising your right hand towards him. He looks to your hand, then back up to your face, then over your right shoulder where your Wolf Knight Greatsword's hilt would sit, then to the girl behind you. “So, mind telling me what's going on here? Why are you hunting this child?”

“Child? CHIIIILD?! Please do not tell me that you are this FOOOOLIIIIIISH!” he shouts, the force of his voice hitting you like a concussive wave. You withstand the shock, not budging an inch. “I have been searching for it for SOOOO LOOOOONG! The final piece of my father's soul!”
“Wait, this child?” you ask, turning and looking over your shoulder, seeing her looking up at Aku. You see her eyes for the first time, noticing that they're entirely Abyssal black as her face reads pure fear. She's too shocked to move, to try and flee from the might of Aku.
“YEEEEESSSSSS!!” he shouts, flaming eyebrows blazing furiously as he reaches over, pointing at her. “You are the final piece! Join me, and together our power will be complete once more!”

“N-N-No, s-stay away!” she says, kicking her legs backwards in a futile attempt to get away. “Don't hurt me, I-I don't want to die!”
“You do not have a choice!” Aku shouts, immediately reaching out with his right. Stretching his arm out, trying to reach past you at her. So you move, dashing over and putting yourself between her and him, his hand slamming into your chest. His fingers crack against you, sounding like wood snapping as they bend back the wrong ways. “GAAAAAAAH! How-YOU DARE?!!”
“That's enough, Aku.” you tell the Dark being seriously, staring him down. “I just saved her, she's under my protection.”

Then, you lift the twinned soul up, still in your left hand. His furious gaze turns to the soul, his expression changing. His brows furrow, then shoot up as he realizes what you're holding.

“Wait, you-? That soul...” he says, leaning in as he studies it. “Hrmm. So, that is how it is. Now I see.”
“Calmed down now?” you ask, lowering the soul as Aku backs back up, dusting his hands down his front before putting them behind his back. Reminding you of how Lord Beerus stands.
“Of course , that is why I couldn't find this piece of myself. Trapped in that monster's domain, it could keep killing every body created by that last shard of Manus. Letting it die, restore itself and kill it once again, keeping it from growing strong enough for me to find.” he says, sounding very matter-of-fact. “Forgive me, I have been searching so, so long. I lost control of myself, letting my excitement overwhelm my judgment. You must be rewarded appropriately, for finding my final piece. Name your price, and it will be yours.”

And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoying this episode so far? Ready to bargain with the Dark personified? Curious what Aku could offer you for this final piece of himself? Will you give this piece up to him, letting her be assimilated into Aku or will you try and save her, letting her keep her autonomy at the cost of losing the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness as an ally? Can you even stop him, if he chooses to fight you now? Or, is there another solution? Another way, one that gives Aku what he wants without this seemingly innocent being's life being forfeit? I gotta wonder, does Aku even know what happens when he becomes "complete"? Wouldn't he just revert to Manus or something? Surely he has considered that. He hasn't been blindly chasing the other parts of the dark, has he?
>>
>>5988965
In character, you knowingly wield the full Berserker Soul, yet you haven't simply become Miyashi. So, at least theoretically, he would simply be completed. Much like a certain spotted android.
>>
The soul that we lost to That Which Lurks in the Dark before, and have now recovered, could you remind me what it did for us before / what its effects were (that we know of)?
>>
>>5988967
IC you had no idea, as Karn never tapped into it. It was ripped away unused. And it was ANOTHER soul of it, one from Towa's original timeline. It took that from you, combining it partially with its own power to further increase its strength. As for now, that may depend on what you decide to do with it. Consume it, feed its power to your Berserker Soul to further empower it. Or perhaps convert it into an item of some kind, although that would require one with knowledge of Soul Transposition. Perhaps, you already know such a smith of wonderous items. Or, perhaps, its power could even be given to another?
>>
>>5988966
I feel like that's kind of a different ballgame, since we basically curbstomped the shit out of Miyashi and said "This shit MINE now" and Aku is. Well. Fuck if I know.
>>
>>5988973
I mean clearly Aku is no stranger to battling for dominance over his fellow shards of Manus and winning. Remember when he ate that Abyssal Dragon we killed?
I imagine that since he's in control of 99.99 percent of himself, that extra 0.01 percent won't put up much of a fight.
>>
>>5988970
Sounds like we just show it to Towa (and perhaps Chilli), ask what she thinks we should do with it, and if she doesn't have some absolutely amazing use for it, we just chomp it down.

Who needs cool toys when you can just make yourself greener and meaner?
>>
As for the girl, screw it, let's just give her to Aku. He's been a bro, and having more-powerful allies is useful. Would be fun to unleash Aku on the tournament of power.

Also, who/what the fuck pushed us into the chest, and then shit-talked us all nasally. Something needs an arsekicking.
>>
>>5988973
But Aku did the same. He's kept other shards of himself trapped away, before he obtained the Abyss Dragon's power. After consuming its strength and dominating that shard, he then did the same to the others he couldn't quite conquer yet. Now there's only this tiny fraction left unassimilated.
>>5988975
Yes, although this girl is a far larger piece than you may realize. Do you remember how much of himself Aku said was missing, before?
>>5988977
Those are possibilities. There are many choices present with such a power. One not too dissimilar to your own Berserker Soul, if you consider it. A soul tied to two different timelines. But, that does offer up a good point: why does half of it look like it's faded?
>>5988978
The THIRD level of the trap is what got you. A phantom, summoned when you touch the chest anywhere except the exterior. Designed only to kick you inside, and seal you away in the Abyss. It was a trap for invaders, as the M'lurnians were clearly versed in fighting them. Don't forget, that's where Caulifla's Darkmoon Pendant came from, as well as most of the non-dragon bone weapons your family use.
>>
>>5988979
>Do you remember how much of himself Aku said was missing, before?
No, I don't. Care to remind us?
>why does half of it look like it's faded?
Off the top of my head, one half of the conjoined Soul may have been subject to the Abyss for much longer. That or being outside of its original timeline weakened the other half.
Either way, I'm curious as to whether or not letting the Kindled Berserker Soul consume it would tie us to a third timeline as well.
>>
>>5988987
He's currently at around 85% of his maximum potential.
Here's a piece you may not be considering. Possibly a spoiler, not sure so spoilering anyways. Remember back to Mechikabura and Aeos' visit recently, what they did.
>>
>>5988994
>spoiler
Right, forgot about that. Well, good to know we won't potentially be pulled 3 ways instead of 2 when we die.
>He's currently at around 85% of his maximum potential.
So, even if this girl could summon the full might of her Soul (which I doubt she can), her consciousness being consumed by Aku's is almost a given.
If only there were a way to separate her mind and body from the shard of Manus...without killing her I mean.
Maybe we could find something to replace that part of her being (think Jergal's intervention on the Dark Urge's behalf in BG3)
But what could possibly be as vast as that fraction of the Father of the Abyss?
>>
Soon.

>>5989002
Yeah, but isn't it interesting? While it may be faded, it still exists.
She is not strong enough to fight Aku, even if she knew what she was doing and had full command of every power at her disposal.
>Maybe we could find something to replace that part of her being
If you could replace that shard of a soul with something else, perhaps...

“The price of a life, huh?” you ask, relaxing your stance a bit. Knowing that the being behind you is a piece of Aku's full power, the last shard of the soul he's been searching for, the last piece of himself he's missing, you're sure he'd pay whatever price you'd ask. But is that the child's fate? To be given to Aku, to be consumed and assimilated as a part of him to achieve his strength. While you're not sure you want to come to blows with Aku over her, glancing back over your shoulder she's looking to you pleadingly, pitch-black eyes showing her fear and worry. You turn back to Aku, seeing him looking hungrily towards her, you remember a trick you'd picked up. Better to let him make the first offer, than to start making one yourself. “Well, why don't you tell me what you'd consider a fair trade.”

“Wh-What?!” the girl cries out, shocked that you'd even consider it. “No, please!”
“Eeeeeeexcellent! I knew you were a man of reason!” Aku declares, laughing happily. “For such a prize, nothing else could compare. But you are not a man of excess, of pointless trinkets. No, the God-slaying General Karn is a man of practicality. But, today is your granddaughter's birthday, is it not? Hmmm, then perhaps a gift for her is what you seek?”

Then, before you can answer he reaches out, pinching something between his fingers in the air and pulls his arm down. Opening a portal between New Salda and what seems to be a place of frozen fire, you remembering after a moment that this is what his domain he's chosen looks like. Aku then reaches in with just his arm, not looking as he rummages.

“This? No, not that. Hrmm, no, that won't do either. Maybe? Hrmm, no, too dangerous for a child. Ooh, I know. She takes after her father more than you, with magic.” Aku says, searching with renewed vigor. After a moment he pulls his arm back out, only for another version of himself to have risen up out of his hand, its three arms each holding separate items. “Perhaps there will be sufficient treasure among these?”
“What is all that?” Meloka asks, sounding mildly curious. To which both Aku grin simultaneously, the one in his hand melding back into his hand, forming three hands. Each one holding one of the items in a palm, while a smaller Aku emerges, pointing to the left-most one to you first.

“This is a weapon known as the Time Magic Hammer. Should anyone try and attack the wielder of this ancient weapon, they will instead be flung into the future.” Aku says, grinning mischievously. “Very useful when someone is attacked by a stronger, more dangerous foe. While it doesn't exactly 'hurt' the attacker, by the time they reappear, your granddaughter will be looooooong gone.”
“Such power...” you hear Caulifla mutter, glancing over to her. Where you now notice she's holding a sword to her waist with her tail, a feather attached to the guard for some reason. Yet another trophy she's claimed from another time. But you turn back to Aku as he continues, addressing the second item. Or, rather, items, as more than a dozen gemstones glint in the light.

“These are no ordinary crystals. They are called Ioun Stones, for an ancient deity of knowledge and prophecy. Each of the stones confer a different boon upon the wielder, once a-ttuned, they will orbit their owners head, like so.” he says, then suddenly half of the stones start flying around your head. They're above eye level, out of the way and just within line of sight, dancing lazily around you a moment before flying back to his hand. “Everything from canceling most magics used against the wielder, to never needing food or drink to sustain oneself, to regenerating from damage and even storing spells for later, they have a wide variety of effects.”
“Bet Chilli'd like to get his hands on those, to study them. Maybe he could even recreate them with his crystals?” you think to yourself, Aku then turning to the final item.

“And this. A soul for a soul, as it were.” he says, gesturing towards the green crystal gem larger than your entire body. But, as you look at it, there appears to be the image or shadow of some kind of bird at its center, as if frozen in flight. “This is called a Raptite, the soul of a crystalline being long-buried on my most recent planetary acquisition. And while I do not possess the necessary knowledge to resurrect such a being, to awaken it from its crystal slumber, I believe that your son Chilli, with his mastery over the crystal magics, could reawaken this being. So, what do you say?”

Well?
>The Time Magic Hammer will keep her the safest, choose it for the girl
>Choose the Ioun Stones, they'll give her the greatest benefit in the long term
>Take the Raptite, you think a crystal bird would make a great pet for her, and with your son around he'll no doubt be able to control it with the greatest of ease

99/100, 99/100, 74/100. Double special success, and an above-average mystery. But with those first two, this has a seriously good chance of working. Writing.
But no victory is entirely without cost. Are you willing to pay it?
>>
>these rolls
Welp, we may actually have an answer somewhere, karn once again proving he's actually a hero on what is usually the villain side of life. seriously the plot twists on this quest are insane and i've been here since thread one.

>>
>>5989314
These are technically Dad Dice, so it's no wonder we rolled well.
>>
>>5989315
Honestly, that doesn't sound entirely impossible. The consumption of the Dark from that other timeline should have given the Berserker Soul similar qualities, right?
>>
>>5989316
>karn literally isnt allowed to have more children according to his women
>proceeds to continue to adopt strays anyways because karn
Yeah that sounds about right.
>>
>>5989317
considering the berserker soul ate the entire ass soul of manus of an alternate universe, it really should, it's basically the same thing as the abyss shard, but on massive steroids at this point.
>>
>>5989318
Long after we're gone, you'll see Karn's Home for Wayward Youths right next to the Dragon's Den Training Hall. Mark my words.
>>
>>5989317
Not quite, the Berserker Soul didn't suddenly become Dark.
>>5989320
More like that soul was fed to another, destroying it to make the Berserker Soul stronger.
>>
>>5989326
my point with the it being able to eat the entire soul of manus is it's essentially a superior power source and as such should be a feasible solution.
>>
>>5989329
The only reason Manus' Soul failed to corrupt the Berserker Soul in any way is because of the Nat100 we got, which mean it's Karn's direct influence that allowed the Anti-Divine aura to win over the Abyss, and the interaction shouldn't be taken as absolute.
>>
>>5989326
>Not quite, the Berserker Soul didn't suddenly become Dark.
But it DID become more tangible, or "Physical" when it was kindled, right?
You are what you eat after all.
>>
>>5989330
No no, he's saying that the POWER of the Berserker Soul is comparable to Manus' Soul at 100%, much less the 15 or so percent of it she has. That it can more than enough to keep her alive.

“Impressive treasures, I'm sure my granddaughter would like all of them.” you say, Aku's eyes widening in anticipation. But you glance back again, seeing the terrified look of the child of the Abyss, and decide to ask another question first, turning back to him. “Say, Aku. You wouldn't happen to know if there's a way to reclaim that final piece of yourself without consuming that poor child, is there? You just need the last part of yourself, not the rest of her, right?”
“Karn? What are you-?” Meloka starts, Aku speaking louder, interrupting her.
“HWAA-? Hrmmmm. Well, I suppose I could try.” Aku says, pondering your words. “But for such a thing to be possible, she would need another soul. Another source of power, else she would simply fade away into nothingness. However, when I assimilate her, I could recreate the girl, bringing her back to life if that is your biggest concern.”

You nod to him, then turn back to the black-eyed child-like Abyssal. She still looks terrified, too scared to get up and try to run in the face of Aku.

“What do you think?” you ask her, the girl starting so bad she nearly falls over before she turns her gaze to you. “Do you want to be a part of him, then be reborn back? Or would you prefer to have the Dark taken away, and a new soul given to you?”
“I...I don't want to die.” she says, sounding scared as Caulifla rubs her back, your daughter shooting you a conflicted look. She clearly wants to save this child, to protect it, but also knows that she can't really do anything to stop how events unfold. “I want to live.”
“Alright, I'll see what I can do.” you say to her with a smile, turning back to Aku and gesturing to the hole he opened up in reality to his treasure vault. “You wouldn't happen to have another soul in there, would you?”

“Would I? That is a veeery good question.” Aku says, sticking his arm back into it and rummaging around. “Soul, soul, where did I put those souls? Hrmmmm...”

You all watch silently as he searches for several moments, then pulls his hand back out, empty.

“Unfortunately, I do not possess a soul of...Sufficient quality to keep her alive.” Aku says, sounding genuinely upset. Dammit, if only... “However, there is another solution.”
“Huh?” you ask as Aku leans in, not towards you, but towards your youngest daughter, Okira. Who has been watching this all go down silently. She doesn't back down from Aku, taking a deep breath and readying herself to say whatever she needs to say to use her Stand's powers defensively. But Aku doesn't attack her, instead peering close at her chest.
“Yes, that could work. YOU possess such a soul.” he says, turning back to you. Wait, what?

“Your soul, your 'Berserker' as you call it. You can share its power amongst others.” he says, gesturing over to your youngest. “Much as you have done with her, were you to infuse that one with your power, while I withdraw the final shard of my father's soul, you could keep her alive. Oooooor, there is another option.

He then points down to your left hand, where the twinned soul still burns with power.

“You could gift her that soul instead. Have her be an independent being, from both you and I. To take that power within that soul and go do whatever she wishes, to live whatever life she wishes. The choice is yours, I suppose.”
“If I don't use this soul for her, what would you suggest I do with it?” you ask him, Aku raising a hand to his fiery goatee, stroking it as he ponders.
“Hrmmmm. You could always consume its power for yourself, to convert it to strength. Or, if you found a being skilled in Soul Transposition, perhaps a skilled enough smith could craft something wondrous from that essence. Then again, you could always just save it for later, as you did with that Dark soul you'd kept for a time. But I cannot personally do any such thing with it.”

“I understand, thanks.” you tell him, turning to the girl and walking over, kneeling in front of her. She raises her head to your face, dark eyes still looking up worriedly to you.
“I guess the choice is yours.” you tell her, again holding aloft the twinned souls in your left. “I can either give you this soul, or I can share some of my own power with you.”

Focusing, you draw upon the Berserker Soul's strength, drawing it forth into your upraised right hand as an emerald fire blazing angrily.

“I won't force you to pick one over the other, the choice is yours.” you tell the tiny creature, who looks back and forth between the two. But she seems drawn to your power, her gaze lingering over it longer and longer each time until she finally meets your gaze again.

“M-My lord, you honor me. I am unworthy of s-such high honor.” she says, shifting forward and getting on her knees, hands to the ground as she touches her forehead to them. “I will g-! Graciously accept whichever you bestow upon me!”

Looking from her to the souls twisting around each other in your left hand, you make your choice. Focusing, you press those souls to your chest, absorbing them into your chest. You don't consume them, don't feed that power to your Berserker Soul and instead reach down, holding your now-empty left hand down to her.

“I've made my choice.” you say, the woman looking up after a moment of silence to see your hand. “C'mon, stand up.”
“Y-Yes my lord.” she answers, reaching up and taking your much larger hand with both of hers, you helping her upright before turning back to face Aku. “So, how should we do this?”
“Stand behind the girl, stay ready to pour your power into her.” he says, then looking to Caulifla. “You may need to help as well. Having a soul taken from you is quite the... Traumatic, experience. And as fragile as she is, it may kill her.”
“Right.” your daughter says, kneeling by you both as she starts speaking the words of her healing prayers. A moment later, the light envelops you three, her power coursing through you all. The girl looks around in awe, only to suddenly jerk. Looking down, you see that Aku has fired a long spear of Dark from his body, piercing her straight through the chest.

“Stay still.” you tell her, kneeling and putting your left on her shoulder, right on her back next to the point piercing out her back. You draw upon the Berserker Soul, the emerald power blazing as you then begin pouring your energy into her. As Aku sucks the Dark from her, you push your power into her frail body. As you do, however, you feel her own power fading. Fading fast, worryingly so. “Tch. Not like this.”

You draw even more power out, pouring more and more energy into the tiny creature's body. Like pouring your ki into the Soulstone, she feels bottomless, taking more and more power as you channel the Berserker Soul's might into her. Her power dwindles almost to nothing, but then you feel it. You feel your power take hold in her body, the angry fires of the Berserker Wrath spreading throughout her thin, frail frame. Her body trembles and shakes as your power fills her body, Aku drawing the last of the Darkness out of her. He withdraws his spear of Dark, the injury sealing as the last of Caulifla's golden magic stitches the wound shut. You end pouring your power into her, catching the girl as she drops. Like a puppet with cut strings, you holding her and looking down at the girl's face. Which looks surprisingly more adult up-close, eyes glowing a faint emerald instead of the inky black pits they were before. You turn to Caulifla, who reaches over, pressing a hand to her neck while your daughter grabs her right wrist with her left. Her expression is concerned for several seconds, then she sighs out and softens her expression.

“It worked, she's stabilizing.” your daughter says, relief heavy in her voice. “You did it.”
“YEEEEESSSSS!!” AKU roars, throwing his hands up to the sky. “I have done it! After all of these years, after all this time; I AM COOOMPLEEEEEETE!!”
“Here, Dad. I'll take her for you.” Caulifla says to you, you nodding to her and passing the unconscious woman to her. She takes the tiny figure in her arms as if holding a child, stepping back as you turn your focus to Aku. He celebrates for a few moments, expanding to his full size and completely blocking out the sun. His mass expands to surround the planet, even while still connected to the M'lurnian Ruins with however much of his body is down there as well. Then, after a bit his face begins appearing on the 'sky' overhead, looking down at you.

“I must thank you for your efforts, Karn. Were it not for you, I would have never reclaimed the power that is rightfully mine. As thanks, I shall gift unto you all three of the treasures there, to do with as you will. I'll be seeing you around, Saiyan.”

Then, without waiting for an answer his entire body rapidly shrinks, drawn back down into the ruins and through whichever entrance he'd used to appear on your world. It only takes three seconds before he's gone entirely, you no longer able to sense his presence on New Salda. Everyone is quiet, Kabuya looking shocked, Okira walking up to the items and muttering a question to her Stand, while Meloka looks to you.

“Hun, mind taking those two on with you? I'm going to take her over to Dr. White, leave her with him to check her over while we're over at Chilli's.” you say to your wife, turning back to Caulifla. “I'll take her, you go on ahead with your mother.”
“Are you sure?” she asks, a hint of concern in her eyes.
“Don't worry, I won't be long.” you tell her, Caulifla hesitantly handing me the tiny girl in her arms. “You all go on ahead, I won't be but just a few minutes.”
“Alright. Let's go.” Meloka says, powering back down as she walks over to the items Aku'd left behind. “Mind helping me Okira?”

“Of course.” your youngest daughter says, walking over to her mother. Caulifla gives one last look to the girl in your arms before turning as well, you raising your right hand to your forehead and focusing. Reaching out, you find Dr. White's ki aboard your home, reaching out to him telepathically.
“Hey, I have someone here who may need your help. Can you see her now?” you ask, readying your Instant Transmission as your wife and daughters vanish, leaving the giant crystal but taking the others as they leave.
“Sure, not a problem. I am here.” he answers, you looking over to Kabuya, who still looks shellshocked by everything.

“Hey, mind watching this for a second?” you ask her, gesturing with your free hand to the crystal. She just looks to you, then the green gem and back before nodding, you nodding back before raising your right back over to your forehead. A moment later you leave the ruins entrance behind, teleporting directly over to your ship. The world shifts, transforming into the familiar sight of the medical bay. “Appreciate this, doctor.”
“Of course, of course. What happened to her?” he asks, gesturing over to the table beside him he'd gotten out. You set her down, explaining what had been happening to him. He listens in silence, hooking the poor girl up to a couple different machines he wheels over. As you explain what she is, and what you and Aku did, his expression darkens, stopping mid-hookup to stare directly into your eyes.

“You...Do you have any idea what you have done?” he asks you, looking more serious than you think you've ever seen him. “Do you have the SLIGHTEST idea what this means?”
“It means she's alive, and I'm now responsible for her.” you answer, Dr. White's expression softening. “And she needs my hel-”
“M-My lord.” the girl says, you looking down. Sure enough she's regained consciousness, looking curiously at all the things hooked up to her. “Wh-What is all this? Where am I?”

“This is Dr. White. I trust him with my life, whenever I'm hurt.” you tell her, reaching down and patting her on the shoulder. “You can trust him with anything.”
“I...I see...” she says, looking a little uncomfortable.
“I have to leave for a while, so I will leave you in his care.” you tell her. “He will make sure you're healthy and don't have any problems. Will you stay here with him and cooperate with whatever he needs you to do?”
“Yes, my lord.” she answers, closing her eyes and opening them once more. The emerald glow of her eyes becomes brighter, looking from you over to him. “I am in your care.”

“Don't worry, just doin' a basic medical test.” he tells her, then his brows furrow a bit. “Hang on, what was your name again?”
“My name?” she asks him, blinking in confusion. “My name....My name is Haathe.”
“Haathe? I'll make sure to remember that. Stay here and rest, you've been through a lot, Haathe. Dr. White will make sure you're okay, and when I come back we can discuss what happens next, okay?”
“I understand. I shall await your return, my lord.” she says to you. You still don't know why she calls you 'lord', something to deal with when you return. But with a sigh you power back down to your base form, reaching down and ruffling her shoulder-length straight black hair before turning to Dr. White, clapping him very gently on the shoulder.

“I'll be back soon.” you tell them both, raising your right hand to your forehead and vanishing again. You reappear beside the younger Super Saiyan, still seeming dazed from the day's events as you walk over to the giant crystal. Reaching out, you place your left hand upon it, raising your right to your forehead and search out your eldest-born son's ki. It takes only a moment to find, but just as you do, his energy vanishes completely. You instantly switch targets to your wife, zeroing in on her as you ascend back into your Berserker God form. And with a thought you leave New Salda behind, teleporting across space to figure out what's going on.

And that's it for this episode, everyone enjoy this one? Ready for Meloka Wolbach's birthday next time, for the rest of the first day of Age 758? Curious what will happen with Haathe, how losing the Dark but gaining your Berserker Soul in its place will affect her? Ready to see what's going on at the party, why Chilli's ki suddenly vanished like that? Did you enjoy finally getting the run back against the Darklurker, not only defeating that which lurked in the Abyss but also finally helping Aku attain his full power? All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!

>“You...Do you have any idea what you have done?” he asks you, looking more serious than you think you've ever seen him. “Do you have the SLIGHTEST idea what this means?”
Better question, does HE know what this means? Cause I don't get it. Is he having a "my grandpa's grandpa told me a story" moment?
>>
>>5989552
Felt good, giving that thing the Genichiro treatment. Wonder what Aku's gonna do now since his main goal is achieved, besides the usual conquering.
>>
>>5989552
Always ready to see the kids and grandkids. Perks of being a damn good dad and grandpa.
I will admit, I am also curious to see just how Haathe is going to adjust to her newfound nature, and just how much of her old being stuck with her.
As for Chilli, I assume he's fine, but I'm more worried about whatever has him stepping out of reality or going all out with his Soul Release.
And about the Darklurker, for as good as it feels to put that to bed, I'm still annoyed by the fact that we have zero idea what the fuck it actually is. Seriously, what the fuck was that thing and why was it down there?
>>
>>5989556
Yes. He understands the implications of what you and Aku have done.
>>5989559
A good question. But he does have his own daughters to raise, so he won't hit the same level of 'midlife' crisis King Cold did.
>>5989576
Yes.
She's quite the enigma. A being born of Dark, converted to Berserker.
It will be something to see.

Time to dig up my old notes...
It's clearly not native to the Abyss despite spending enough time in it to be warped by it.
It's very clearly hostile to anything natively Abyssal or otherwise Dark aligned.
Despite only one of them being recorded, it can reproduce via some form of mitosis.
As far as we know, it's just been killing that manifestation of Manus over and over in between fighting off Dark aligned entities.
My best guess? It's some lost soul who got a raw deal (think the Four Kings) and decided to get it's revenge by denying the restoration of Manus' Soul. That or it's a living weapon deploy as a contingency by somebody well aware of the fracturing of Manus' Soul.
Possibly Divine in origin? Food for thought...
>>
>>5989583
>Yes. He understands the implications of what you and Aku have done.
What, given someone the soul equivalent of a blood transfusion? It really doesn't seem like a big deal. Besides, what does a doctor know about souls?
>>
>>5989598
We have, on a whim, ripped out something that was part of the fundamental nature of a being on a metaphysical level. In it's place, we just as casually filled that vacuum with our own essence, tying her to us inextricably.
There are an insane amount of ways that could have gone horribly wrong, and the question of whether or not we even had the right to subject a living being to something like that is also up for debate.
She is our ward, and our responsibility for the time being, but there's no denying the implications of that exchange are far bigger than just taking in another stray.
>>
>>5989550
So who wants to fucking die, THIS TIME, every gods damned birthday I fucking swear!
>>
>>5989583
Far as I can gather an Dark Lurker is the final, quote unquote evolution, of an Undead human that gets past the larval stage as seen in Dark Souls 3. Any theory I have after that is pure schizo material I haven't thought about in a long fucking time.
>>5989595
>It's clearly not native to the Abyss despite spending enough time in it to be warped by it.
>It's very clearly hostile to anything natively Abyssal or otherwise Dark aligned.
Not necessarily hostile, so much as hungry, or whatever you qualify Aku to feel.
>Despite only one of them being recorded, it can reproduce via some form of mitosis.
Honestly it looks more like an odd form of time manipulation, what the lightshow it gives, possibly acting as a summon stone in its own right, as incomplete versions can be seen more commonly in the future.
>My best guess? It's some lost soul who got a raw deal (think the Four Kings) and decided to get it's revenge by denying the restoration of Manus' Soul. That or it's a living weapon deploy as a contingency by somebody well aware of the fracturing of Manus' Soul.
I'd only back that potential theory due to this timeline being extra fucky, but per natural canon reasons, potentially unlikely.
>Possibly Divine in origin? Food for thought...
Technically, Dark was already a form of divine until Gwyn fucked it all up, my assumption is they are what happens when you die, JUUUUUUST enough, while burning out the normal "soul" stuff, so only the natural Dark remains in human body to induce its natural mutations without the will of fire fucking up its self reflection.
>>
>>5989600
>and the question of whether or not we even had the right to subject a living being to something like that is also up for debate.
Hey she asked for it. I guess next time we should just let whoever straight fucking die. Well, not really die, just unexist.

This is like if someone told a doctor to "just help me" and then they make them a cyborg and they bitch about it. Like shit dude what other options did he have when you were 80% walking tumor with only two functioning organs? I dunno man. Seems like a lot of moral grandstanding.
>>
>>5989624
I'm not saying we did anything wrong in helping her, I'm acknowledging that the circumstances of our "transfusion" are complicated. How she feels about it is up to her, but I wouldn't blame her if she had some misgivings about it, regardless of the new lease on life we just gave her.
>>
>>5989635
Yeah. I think Dr. White is just tweakin.
>>
>>5989584
He doesn’t have anything beyond the translated data files, classifying it as a certain character’s Stand.
>>5989595
It’s soul isn’t corrupted by the Dark like Artorias or Vesdalt, despite being found in the Abyss. Which is…Noteworthy.
>>5989598
No. More like you replaced all of it with something else, not even knowing if blood types were compatible.
>>5989600
Yes. For better or worse, she’s now as close to you as your own children.
True, but it’s better than becoming not.
>for the time being
There’s no “for the time being” on this one. She is now inextricably a part of you.
>>5989612
You’ll have to wait until NEXT TIME to find out! Unless I decide to spoil it and have it be the epilogue.
>>5989620
A plausible theory, one I don’t inherently dislike. Plus adding non-SotFS Souls lore to tie in is always good.
>>5989624
She chose that option, of what was presented to her. There could be the “under duress” argument made, but what important decision isn’t?
>>5989640
He was more asking if YOU understand the full implications of what you’ve done.
>>
>>5989655
>He was more asking if YOU understand the full implications of what you’ve done.
I still don't get it. If he's asking morally and ethically? Yes. That's easy and I am just crazy enough to not care. If he's asking as a real question, no. Do any of us know how souls actually work? Hell no. We just know they exist. And for that matter I have no reason to believe he has any idea how they work, either.
>>
>>5989655
>There’s no “for the time being” on this one. She is now inextricably a part of you.
You know what I mean. She's still her own person, right?
>>
>>5989666
He may know more than you think. After all, he was a healer on his own world, before the PTO took it over and introduced him to greater technology.
>>5989694
Let me put it a different way. In the beginning of the Age of Fire, those who found their powerful Lord Souls split them amongst their children and their faithful. Having part of someone's soul essentially makes them a vassal. Sure she has free will, but that can potentially be overruled.
>>
>>5989762
Ah. That would explain why she's calling us "Lord" then. Gonna have to talk with her about that at some point though. "General" and "Sir" are more Karn's speed anyways.
Regardless, I'm curious to see what she can do when she's cleared by Doctor White for a workout. It's always good to have casters around for training, especially ones who (hopefully) aren't squishy as fuck.
>>
>>5989762
>Having part of someone's soul essentially makes them a vassal. Sure she has free will, but that can potentially be overruled.
Oh yeah, that part about souls that I intentionally forget. I don't want us to end up dying and then have our essence deciding to possess our kids or something.
>>
>>5989770
Surely Broly, Okira, or whoever will be able to withstand the full might of the Merged Berserker Soul when the time comes.
Surely.
>>
>>5989764
Yes. She recognizes you as the ultimate authority. Not only because of the ancient ways, but that you saved her twice over. First, by saving her from that endless cycle of death and rebirth. And second from Aku, who’d have erased her existence without hesitation just to become complete.
She WAS a Dark caster, or at least had the potential to become one with time and training. But that potential has been taken away by Aku. As for what she can do now, well… We shall have to wait and see.
>>
>>5989777
I have faith in my boy and my girl when the time comes, but what about the sopping wet cat we just gave a soul transfusion to? She's built like your average 4channel goblin NEET with the willpower to boot. Having her *just* be a vassal for the murderously angry soul we own doesn't sit right with me.
>>
>>5989770
Power comes with responsibilities.
>>5989777
It is yet to be seen. Or if Karn should choose to divvy it up further as he nears death, willingly splitting it instead of potentially breaking like Manus’ did and creating new hosts.
>>5989783
The better question is what she’ll become, now that your soul is a part of her.
>>
>>5989783
That "sopping wet cat" is able to withstand gravity high enough to flatten 99.99% of the known universe with zero training. And that was before we infused her with a portion of a Soul strong enough to consume what was essentially the entire Abyss.
She probably won't be chosen as a successor for the Berserker Soul, but she definitely has the potential to become a legend in her own right.
>>
>>5989784
>The better question is what she’ll become, now that your soul is a part of her.

Cranky goth girl? Growly vocalist for a gothic metal band?

Have saiyans been exposed to death metal yet? Oozaru mosh pit?
>>
>>5989789
>Growly vocalist for a gothic metal band?
Honestly I feel like Caulifla would be the one to do that. Nothing makes you feel better quite like screaming your head off.
>>
>>5989785
The Abyss is, while different, a far greater pressure than a little gravity.
>before we infused her with a portion of a Soul strong enough to consume what was essentially the entire Abyss.
Bit of a stickler, but a point beeds to be made. AN Abyss, not THE Abyss. The Soul of Manus or its shards can create an Abyss, but it is not the original nor entirety of the Abyss. After all, that is a far older, stronger Darkness than the first man the Pigmy created’s own.
As for what she could become, that’s a good question.
>>5989789
Ha. Oozaru mosh pit is every planetary invasion without Super Saiyans.
>>5989800
Nah, she’s not a fan of that type of music. Whereas Broly could fall asleep to heavy metal back during the Hive War.
>>
>>5989762
>Sure she has free will, but that can potentially be overruled.
"My lord, why did you command me to...do ten thousand pushups?"
"Oh, sorry. I was training in my sleep again. It must have gone through the link."

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 216 Epilogue-

AGE 758, NEW SALDA

“Wh-What did my lord just do?” you ask, the old man raising a brow at you. “How did he shrink like that?”
“Heh. You're mistaken, Haathe. That right there's his true form.” he tells you to your shock. “That bigger form's what he transforms into to fight the more dangerous bein's.”
“Transforms? I don't understand.” you tell him. He sighs, walking over to his desk and sitting down.
“Don't worry, I'll explain it in due time. But first, we need to get you checked out.” he tells you, making some kind of clacking noise with his fingers on a board of some sort. As the clacking increases suddenly the ceiling drops, it falling right at you.

“Eeeep-!” you exclaim, raising your arms to defend your head. But it stops short, freezing in place. You blink, looking at the unusual-looking ceiling a moment, realizing it isn't falling. “Wh-What?”
“Sorry 'bout that. Didn't mean to scare you. “ he says. “You might want to close your eyes, it is about to get bright. But I need you to hold still, okay? The more you move, the less accurate this scan will be. So, please, hold still.”
“Bright? Uh, o-okay. I won't move.” you reply, closing your eyes. You wonder how bright it's going to be when suddenly the sun itself bursts into being above you. It cuts straight through your eyelids, the pain causing your to flinch. But you hold yourself as still as possible, doing as you were told. You don't know what this 'scan' he's doing is, but your lord wanted you to obey, and so you do.

You hold yourself still, feeling the blinding light burning your flesh for what feels like minutes. Until, finally, the light turns itself off. Cautiously, you open your eyes, watching as that slab suddenly starts retracting up towards the ceiling. Then, once it stops, another starts coming down. Far slower than the first, it stopping at around the same place. But then panels start sliding out the side, forming a circle around you.

“Don't worry, this one isn't bright. This one's a magnetic resonance imaging scan. It will give me a better picture of your internal structure, how your body works.” he says, you wondering how a ceiling can show what's inside you. “It'll show me if your organs, soft tissues, and other such bodily structures are all intact.”
“Y-You're not going to cut me open, are you?” you ask, a hint of worry in your tone. And, to your surprise Doctor White walks over, resting a hand on your shoulder.
“Don't worry, young one. I won't harm you.” he says, the gentleness in his tone making you believe him. “This scan utilizes magnetic fields and radio waves to show me your internals, no cutting required. Unless you're electromagnetically sensitive, you won't even feel a thing. It's just a little loud.”

“Th-That's good.” you say, relaxing and laying back. Closing your eyes, you trust the man your lord trusts, the machine around you activating with a weird hum. You can feel it vibrating all around you, yet the sensation isn't wholly unpleasant. It lasts for a while, the machine finally shutting down. It all returns back to how it was, once more raising into the air. He brings a couple more down, Doctor White trying to explain them. But you've not heard of most of these things, the words not making any sense. However, since your lord trusts him, you don't resist. Finally, after several more minutes it's finally over, the last screen, something called a scouter to see your 'power'. “Is that it?”

“That's right, we're done with the scans.” he says, walking over and offering you his hand up. Which you take, swinging your feet off the table and stepping back on the ground. Despite being made of the same thing as the table, it feels warmer to the touch.
“Thank you.” you say, it taking you a moment to find your balance after so long laying down. “I-Is that everything?”
“Almost. We have a few more tests, but we can't do them here.” he tells you, turning and walking towards the wall. “Would you follow me?”

“O-Of course?” you reply, feeling confused as he walks towards the wall. Only for it to suddenly open up, a giant mouth getting ready to eat him! “Get back!”
“Wha-?” he says, you rushing forward and grabbing him around the middle, pulling him back. You carry the old man back until you suddenly hear the same hiss to your left, turning and seeing ANOTHER giant mouth open!
“Oh no, where do we go?” you ask, heart beating frantically as you look back and forth between the two gaping maws. “They're gonna get us.”

But as you panic, suddenly the old man starts to laugh! He pats your hands over his middle gently, speaking softly to you after a moment.

“Forgive me, I lost my composure.” he says, stopping his laughter. “But you can set me down now. There is no danger.”
“But-!” you start, still worried. But then the one he'd gone to suddenly shuts, your head jerking over towards it.
“Please, allow me to show you that there is no danger.” he says, you hesitating another moment before relenting. Releasing him, he steps towards the one that just opened, stepping inside and taking a couple steps before turning to you. “Have you... Did you live in those caves your entire life?”

“Yes. I woke up in that room my lord found me in, and until today spent my entire life there.” you tell him, still feeling on edge as he stands in the beast's maw. Only for the other one to open, a strange, orange being standing there.
“Is everything okay? I heard shouting.” the strange creature says, freezing a moment as he sees you. Instantly his expression darkens, brows furrowing as he crouches a bit, looking like he's going to attack you, left hand going to the strange metal thing on the left side of his head. “INTRUDER! MEDBAY!”
“Stand down, Orlen. Everything is fine.” Doctor White says, stepping back out of the mouth to your left. “We have a new guest, courtesy of our General.”

“I see.” he says, pressing his hand back to the device. “Stand down, all clear.”
“Wha...?” you ask, wondering how anyone could be living inside a monster big enough to eat them whole, but before you can wonder too much he speaks again.
“Sorry about the confusion. We've had quite a few break-ins over the years. My name's Orlen, what's yours?” the man asks, stepping forward and holding out his right hand. For some reason, which is odd because you don't need help up.
“Haathe. My name is Haathe.” you tell him, looking curiously at his hand, tilting your head. “Why are you holding your hand out like that?”
“...Why can't he ever find any normal ones to bring in?” the man mutters, shaking his head before lowering his hand back, turning his eyes to Doctor White. “So, what's the deal?”

“We are heading over to the gravity chamber now, to test her physical prowess.” Doctor White says, you tilting your head in confusion. “Ran the diagnostics, everything seems to be in order.”
“Very well, I'll go with you both.” he says, you looking quizzically at him. He sees you gaze, turning back to you. “What is it? Uhh, Haathe, right?”
“Yes. How did you emerge from the beast?” you ask him, the man blinking a few times. He then turns, glancing at the door before laughing. You don't know why he's laughing, but he has a good laugh. It puts you at ease.

“There's no beast on this ship, none that the General doesn't allow anyways.” he says, turning back to the weird wall. It opens again, the man turning to a red lever on the wall and pulling it. Causing the maw to shut once more. He looks back, as if making sure you're watching, then moves the lever again. Causing it to open once more. “These're called doors. Used to keep a measure of privacy for what's goin' on in each room.”
“Door? Oh, okay.” you say, walking up to him and grabbing the lever as well. You pull it up and down, causing the wall to close and open depending on the position of the lever. “But why does it open on its own sometimes? Are they possessed?”

“Possessed! Ha, good one! No, the doors have sensors on them, checking for movement. When something moves, they open up.” he says as he goes back out, walking across the way to another weird pattern, the wall opening up again. “The sensors are up over the doors, right there. They only open when you're within a certain distance of the door itself, otherwi-”

But as he's talking the door shuts again, cutting him off. Nervously, you step towards it, and as soon as you're in front the door opens once more. Bravely you don't flinch, seeing the orange man grinning at you.

“See? Nothin' to it.” he tells you. “Now, come on. Let's head over to the gravity chamber, and see what you've got.”
“Okay.” you reply, the three of you leaving that room behind, and entering the smoothest cave you've ever seen. The walls are all like the ones in Doctor White's room, you seeing the indentations on the walls for more of these doors. The man, Orlen, leads you to one that looks different, it opening with a far heavier sound. Then the second door opens, leading to a large, circular room with a very high ceiling. Orlen and you enter, but surprisingly Doctor White doesn't. Which you notice, turning back to him. “Doctor White?”

“Do not worry, I'm right here.” he tells you, walking over to the wall by the door, fingers tapping away at it and making the same clacking noises as before. “But I'm afraid these old bones can't handle too much gravity nowadays. So, I'll be controlling the chamber from out here.”

The door then shuts, you walking over to open it, to hear what else he's saying. But it doesn't open, you feeling panic rising. That is, until his voice somehow comes out of the wall a bit away from you.

“Do not worry, I'm right here.” he tells you, the lights in the room immediately dimming and turning more red. “Are you ready to begin?”
“R-Ready.” you answer a bit nervously, the lights near-completely fading. Everything is bathed in red, when suddenly a rush of your lord's memories rush into you. Hours upon hours, months upon months he's spent in this room, you seeing it all through his eyes. How he'd come here day after day, pushing his body to its limits over and over and over again. Then, once the flood of memories stop, you see Orlen looking down at you concerned, hand outstretched once again.
“Are you alright?” he asks, you nodding. Feeling your body fill with purpose, understanding what this room is for and what it means to your lord. Knowing what you must do, you take the offered hand, rising to your feet then turning back to Doctor White.

“Let's get started.” you say, clenching your fists. You're going to show them that you are worthy of your lord, that you're going to make him proud!

>“...Why can't he ever find any normal ones to bring in?” the man mutters

lol. Raven going to give this smartass bad dreams
>>
>>5992618
She might have considered doing something like that, if she didn't one hundred percent agree with the sentiment.
>>
>>5992630
>Even first adopted daughteru thinks we're too much
O-ouch, touche, but ouch.
>>
>>5992650
No, that's not what I meant. She thinks you always adopt the absolute strangest of beings. Between Broly, herself, Ubo, Koriand'r, and now Haathe, you haven't adopted a single 'normal' being into your clan.
>>
>>5992652
Well, yeah, I know, thats why I said touche.
>>
>>5992654
Be quiet, touchebag.
>>
>>5992654
Your sentence makes no sense after what I said.
>>
>>5992652
What do you mean? Not a single one of them is weird. Haathe is a bit quirky, but can you blame someone who has done nothing but die for the past who-knows-how-long for having an eccentric manner to them?
>>
>>5992688
>Not a single one of them is weird.
Raven damn well knows she and the others aren't 'normal' people. Between their unique powers and... "Distinct" personalities, they're all weird. Not a one of them had a 'normal' upbringing before being taken in by Karn. Even beings like B7, anomalies amongst their own kind.
>>
>>5992695
Nah she's just a goofy lil girl gettin in her own head. Poor thing. She needs to have more confidence. Be positive. Kick that low self-esteem of hers. They're all regular folks.
>>
>>5992703
She's glad she isn't normal, having leveraged her unique powers to their fullest after fully accepting who she is. If she was 'normal', she'd have died with the others back when her planet was conquered and never met you or your allies.
>>
I should have expected she'd gain a measure of our memories, but now I'm curious how specific they can get.
For example, if we handed her a longsword or had her manifest a Super Ki Blade, would she know the basics of Djem-So instinctually?
>>
>>5992777
A very good question. Perhaps only time will tell.
>>
>>5992604
>“O-Of course?” you reply, feeling confused as he walks towards the wall. Only for it to suddenly open up, a giant mouth getting ready to eat him!
Extremely fucking precious. I vow to protect Haathe with my life.
>>
23 hours to go!

>>5993133
Yes, innocent child is adorable. But...
>>
>>5993204
Honestly I'm more concerned with Orlen. He's barely pushing 2K and he's stepping into the gravity chamber.
Or has it just been years since his entry on the powerlevel pastebin was updated?
>>
>>5993334
He'll be fine. Man's gotten ahold of a certain piece of experimental tech Daiko's been working on.
It has ALSO been years, but his number hasn't increased much.
>>
>>5993479
>Man's gotten ahold of a certain piece of experimental tech Daiko's been working on.
Some kinda personal microgravity field generator? Or is it the latest iteration of the exoskeletons?
>>
>>5993479
Eh, not everyone's cut out for the GAINZ life. Atleast he seems content with his position.
>>
>>5993482
You may see sooner, rather than later.
>>5993489
Oh absolutely. He's got it MADE, easy 6 hour shifts on rotation, the best chef in the galaxy, AND all that under the protection of one of the universe's most feared assassin-slayers. Almost nowhere in the universe is safer.
>>
>>5993655
That sounds like the life, the other grunts in the force must be insanely jealous. Unless we had that big of an impact on the empire, the average PTO lackey's lifespan out and about on the field is pretty short, so Orlen got really lucky.
>>
Soon.

>>5993683
He's got it made and knows it.
>>
SOON!
>>
It is time!
